I was with another company out of Connecticut and their rates got really bad. When it was time for me to switch and I got the paperwork from Verde, the rate was good. I jumped on it and my experience has been wonderful. We just got our $50 gift card in the mail and I've had no problems. Everything they've said they'd do, they've done, so I'm very happy with them. We're also very much interested in green and saving the environment and the ecology, so that was a plus for us.

I was looking for a cheaper energy source and I went online on Pennsylvania Duquesne Light website and I chose Verde Energy. A customer for almost six months now, I like that I've saved about 30%.

Verde's price was a lot cheaper than what I was paying. Then I was told it was a $100 rebate, but I only got $50. I haven't had a chance to call on it. So far, everything's going very good. They're very easy to deal with.

The fact that Verde Energy is a green company makes it extra good. But our first consideration for choosing them was the price point. We're actually converting to solar. But in the wintertime, we tend to have rather high electric bills, We're in the northeast and it gets pretty cold. Our heat and everything we do is electric, so it's crucial to have a good supply at a reasonable rate. So we were looking for something with a low price point per kilowatt-hour. Energy rates only climb, so to have a fixed rate for a while is a very beneficial thing for us ‘cause our house is totally electric. My husband was quite pleased with Verde Energy's customer service. They got back to him, got his information and we got signed up quickly. It was very simple and we were pleased with our price point that we got per kilowatt-hour. Since using Verde, there has been a difference in the electric bill at the end of the month.

When I had to make the choice between what companies I would use, I chose one and then they turned to Verde. At first, Verde was just doing gas or electric, and then they all took over everything. I just stuck with them because I've been with them for years. The representatives have always been patient with me and answered any questions I have. If they couldn't answer me, they turned me over to somebody that could so everything's always been good.

Their rates were 40% cheaper and they also have the sign-on bonus of two $50 gift cards at the third- and sixth-month mark. The paperwork all went through super easy. They delivered on everything. The only thing that stands out is I still haven't received the first of the $50 incentives that I'd sent for in October, and they said four to six weeks. They should make the rebate process less painful. Because you gotta print this form out, you have to date it and let it sit on the shelf for three months, and then another six months. Then you have to fill out all this stuff manually and mail it back in. It's obviously designed to try to discourage people from doing it.

I have a meter in my main house where my husband and I live, and one on the other side of the house on my mother's little apartment where I have two cats living. I only have a refrigerator normally on when my bill on that side went from $10 a month to almost $500 for the month of July. I've been trying to work with Atlantic City Electric because they're the ones that comprise my bills but they're not the provider. I said that it was a mistake because on the side of the house where I had ceiling fans and air conditioner, plus the pool that we run the filter constantly, the bill was only a little over $300.
I didn't contact Atlantic Electric immediately because I didn't have the energy to contend with the three hour phone call by the time you get to somebody that you need to talk to, with all of the cut offs, and you have to redial and go through that whole process. So, I figured that by next month, they would have seen the problem and they would correct it. The next month came and it was $270. So I called them.
I only called Verde Energy to switch over and the reps were very professional. They told me that I could switch out at any time with no extra costs. Ehen I spoke to Atlantic Electric when this was happening, I asked what the kilowatts per hour was and they said that I was at a lower kilowatt hour with Verde, which was why I stayed. I have not found any issues as far as dealing with Verde but I haven't called them about this problem and maybe I should. They haven't done anything to make me not feel like I can trust them. I was thinking that this issue may be Atlantic Electric not reading the meter properly or maybe the meter is not working correctly.

The person who helped me at Verde Energy was very helpful. But, Verde should be more transparent. When I signed up, they said I was gonna get the rebate in the mail. But, it involved more work. I sent the rebate but I haven't received anything back yet and it has been a couple of months. Other than that my experience has been good so far.

Verde Energy had a good rate and they also had an option for energy produced from renewable resources. Along with the ability to shop for your supply, knowing where it's coming from and even having the option to select that is cool. In my mind, it still comes down to a price situation but relative to prices for non-renewable, it seemed to be like a no-brainer.

I'm in Pennsylvania, and they let you shop around for your energy supplier. My previous contract had run out, and I was looking on their website for the best deal at the time for a fixed contract. That was where I found Verde Energy. I signed up and then I had to send in something in the mail for a rebate, which I haven't got back yet. That was kind of a pain filling out. I wish they could have done it electronically like everything else. Other than that, the energy works.

I liked Verde Energy's price and that they provide green energy. I believe in climate change and I believe that we need to do things to combat it. If the company doesn't provide green energy, we don't go with them. If the company's price is too high, we don't go with them. Other than that, I get a bill from PECO every month, and they don't really pay a whole lot of attention to who the provider is. I'm perfectly satisfied with Verde. Essentially, they're a nonentity. I chose them as a supplier, I pay my bill and I don't have anything to do with them. The electrons flow into my wires.

I hadn't had a secondary provider for a while, and my main provider, PECO is fine. I have no complaints about them, but Verde had a good plan for reducing my costs, and they came through with that. It would be great if they could reduce it even more, but that might be an unrealistic thing. All in all, I love Verde Energy. They’ve been great. Just yesterday when I was at the supermarket, I recommended them to the cashier.

The ease of transfer from PECO to Verde was easy and it went seamlessly. But I didn't get all the information I needed. The girl I spoke with told me that it would be cheaper. I have budget billing and it's three months using Verde Energy for both my gas and my electric. But my bills were $200, $300 more a month so there were no savings. I let it level off and did a few months. The rates were supposed to be fixed for three months then they would go variable. I got that letter that the rates would go variable. The kilowatts or the CPM went crazy high.
When I talked to the girl and switched both my gas and electric to Verde, she said that she would call me a week or two in advance of it switching to a monthly variable and not locked-in rate. That phone call never happened. But I did get a letter from them that said it was going to change in two days and not a fixed dollar figure per month. I called PECO and switched back to them about a week ago.

I used another electric company before and their prices were too expensive for the wattage. I was looking to cut my electric bill and find the best offer on the market and I was happy with the offer that Verde Energy had. When I first called to get set up, the representative was extremely friendly and helped me get into a three-month or four-month plan. But I would like to get into the rate I'm at now, extended or something like that, especially since I’ll be moving to Carlisle. Even though we switched, we don't run lights all the time, and try to not still be wasteful. Verde is reducing my electric bill. Clean cheap energy beats any of these other competitors. Signing up and getting switched was a very easy process and they got it done.

I had Verde for a few years and I liked it. I've only had to call them when they discontinued me. They said that I had went with another company, when I didn't. So I was back and forth, back and forth, but they got it straightened out. Then I had to start over as a new customer and I didn’t like that part. But overall, I'm fine with them.

My son had NRG at his house. As I was looking up information for that and I'd come across Verde. It was the way I wanted to go. I used PPL before and Verde's much better. The bills are lower. It's been a very good experience.

Verde Energy is perfect and beautiful. I've been getting calls from other electric companies and they don't come near Verde's price per kilowatt. I was with PP&L and my bills were horrible. So I then started shopping around online, looking at different companies and their rates per kilowatts. I came across Verde and their prices were a little bit less than some of the companies 'cause every little bit counts to me. When I called Verde and told them I wanted to sign up, they gave me a lesser price as well when I signed up. The people were very informative and very professional. They listen and they let you say what you need to say. Also, they knew their products. I'd tell my friends and family to shop around but to still call Verde because they might give them another price for six months to a year. I'm very pleased with them.

Our state has a website and I shop for energy there every year, so it's a pretty seamless process. Verde Energy had the fixed-rate and it seemed to be a reputable company. Signing up with them was very easy. The price is very good. But in my welcome packet, I received two rebate certificates for $50 each. I was supposed to mail one in after three months and then another one after six months. So, I've mailed in the one after three months last October and haven't heard or received from them. It has been eight weeks now.
It sounds like you are a savvy shopper and we are glad that you found our company. Our records indicate that you have already spoken to our customer service regarding the rebates.

Green energy sounded good to me. Verde Energy had a good price and I got them for personal use. We get our billing from them online, which is different, but it's okay. My experience with them has been good, so far.

Verde Energy sent me something that said once I have them for a couple of months, I can send in some coupons for a gift certificate. This is my second renewal with them. I get calls from people telling me that I made a mistake, and I have the wrong account with Verde. I tell them, “Hey, every month, I get my bill. It's right. So, stop bothering me.” but they keep calling me. I get at least one call every other day from a different person, trying to get me to sign up with them. They have an introductory rate that's lower and it's only good for three months max. It's not even a yearly better rate.
I generally shop, but I'm cautious with every one of them since I had an issue with Verde unknowingly pushing up the rate really high. The different providers are all trying to do the same thing. When I went with Verde, I got what was a reasonable rate at the time, and I made them give me a lock for two years, so I watched that. The first time that I had them, they were cheaper than others and then, all of a sudden, I noticed my bill was getting higher. They didn't notify me properly that my contract was up and for two months, I paid double what I should have paid.
When I called them back, I got a lower rate the next time, so I stayed with them. Otherwise, I wouldn't have stayed. I absolutely didn't like the way they snuck their bill up so much. It wasn't like it went up a bit of a percent too. I saw the rate that I was being charged. It snuck up a little the first month, and it went up again the second month, which is a gimmick that I was not happy with. Other than that, my bills are okay. The people I dealt with were okay too. They have a good rate, but watch your bill.

I had an offer from Verde a couple of years ago and I had been on their service at that time. Then, their price went up and I went to another company for about two years. Then their price was going up and I got an offer again from Verde, so I went back with them. We get our services provided by PP&L and they keep our lines pretty well-repaired and keep the trees down around them. Our service had been very good with PP&L. But they don't generate electricity anymore.

I went with Verde because of the price as far as the length of time, and also I like green energy. It's very good to have if you can get it done green energy because it helps the planet. The more Verde notifies the people, the better it is. A lot of the other companies would only send something in the mail and say, "Well, it's not my problem that you didn't get it in the mail or whatever." It will also be good if they encourage people and say, "These are our new rates that are coming up. You will be due now, as of two months from now. Would you like to get on this new rates for this amount for a year, or this for two years or whatever?" That would be very encouraging for people.

Verde is very cheap. Somebody walked in my door and showed the services, and he explained to me about how much they charge and what it costs. I'm supposed to get a rebate after four months of uses, but I haven't seen it yet. Other than that, my experience is pretty good in terms of getting the service done and the charges.

In June 2020 I realized that Verde Energy had increased the KWH rate charge to 16.5 cents/hour when I ended up with a 500$ bill. Most other providers are 4-9 cents per KWH or in my case 270 dollars cheaper. I don't know when the rate increase occurred, probably early in the year (Jan/Feb) and I just didn't notice. I cancelled the service in favor of NYSEG delivery at 4.5 cents per KWH. Verde has subsequently left repeated messages at home while I'm working, sometimes twice a day. Each message has a different story (no 2 the same) of why I need to contact them as soon as possible. The changeover is not until the end of this cycle and I'm hoping I don't see a further increase in the KWH charge as a result. They seem to be a very sneaky and opportunistic which is unfortunate.

I was shopping, and Verde company was at Walmart. I wanted a low energy bill and the rep was good. Now, my payments are way better than they were before. I like them.

The Verde reps were here one day. But I just got home from the hospital and I didn't wanna speak to anybody and they said that they'll come back around some time. I don't like their prices but so far, the bill is about the same. It's all right though and I haven't had any trouble with them.

We had Verde a few years back. I found them on the internet at that time. Then, I went with them again because their rate was the best I could find at the time I had to change. As a company, they're fine. I have a few tens of cents difference than PP&L, but we're grateful for it and we don't have any problems with them. Thank you for the little lower price. It’s for the whole year and there are no fees to join and no fees if I wanna cancel. I like all of that.

Somebody from Verde called and said it’s better but I got conned like a dummy. The rate is 7.2 and I've seen no difference with my new plan. But I have electricity and that's all I care about.

Right now, I own this house. Dad passed away. I got bills like crazy. When I heard somewhat for a cheaper price, that was fine by me, and Verde Energy was. But I didn't wanna jump in to somewhere there was some catch to it and then down the road, "Well, you owe this." If it's a clean smooth move for $10, $15, $20 off the bill a month, I wish I could do it on every bill that I have here but it doesn't work that way. Hopefully, there's not much involved with it. Nowadays, when somebody calls you with offers, all you gotta do is burp or something, it will be like, "Yes. Okay, got him." So, that's all I took. I’ll just have a cheaper price, we discussed it, and I went through with it. I'm on a month-to-month contract.
I'm not even sure what my cheaper rate is. I'm dealing with so many bills. I just get the bill and I pay it, simple. I don't study the back of it. I don't do the meter reading and stuff on the back of the page. Pretty much, it makes its way to the garbage can. If I save up every bill or receipt, they would be up to the ceiling. So, when I heard a 10 or 15, cheaper on my monthly gas bill, hey, that's fine. Let's go through with it. But you get the other company like, "Why did change to other?" Even Duquesne Light is making some type of change but keep feeding me. I'll cancel out anybody to save a buck.

Very dishonest how this company does business.. charging me 16 cents a kWh when others are at 3 cents.. As soon as I caught what was going on I canceled my service and was told no help could be offered.. very dishonest and shady. I have a large family and overlooked a rate increase by 2 months and it turns into a 700 dollar bill.. This company should be ashamed if this is how they do business.

I had Verde Energy previously, then I switched to another provider. Verde made several calls to me and I told them that I switched to somebody more competitive. They kept up with the calls, asking me to switch back, and they were going to give me $100 rebate via debit cards. I noticed that Verde's cost per kilowatt hour is higher, but I get the rebates so that’s where it balances out. However, I haven't received the first debit card yet. It was supposed to be two $50 debit cards that I haven't received yet.

They were supposed to send me a email concerning the rewards for signing up for Verde energy program. I want to know why they lied and then send me the email I signed up with him so why didn't they send me the email?

From that point, an enrollment confirmation (welcome) email or letter should be sent within a few days of the enrollment receipt. One of Verde Energy's representatives called me on the phone a month ago. I was overcharged for my electric bill last year at a certain time and I was gonna get a $50 a month check or rebate on my bill for the overcharge that was gonna last about a year. But I have not received that $50 credit. The only thing I received was a contract from Verde Energy that I was to fill out and send back. It said there that my electric price was gonna be .999 or 9.99 and based on my bill with PP&L, their cost is .63. It also said that the $50 checks were gonna come like a credit card that I could use with somebody that deals with them, like a restaurant or store. And when I heard those two statements, I said I was just gonna cancel. So, I called Verde and canceled that. Other than that, Verde didn't give me any problems. Up until I got that call six weeks ago, I was fine. They billed me and I paid the bill.

I signed up with Verde as a green source of energy. I received the mandatory release of environmental information and ... Lo and behold .. not green at all! Same amount of renewables as all of NJ and a greater amount of emissions is all three categories.

Verde Energy found me so I got them. I've only had them for so long so far and then the supplier companies change. After a while, I get another call and it changes again. I don't know what's going on and I don't even know why they do that. Everything is going good and then it changes. Other than that, I'm satisfied with Verde.

Verde had a good price and they work well with Met-Ed. I had Verde Energy a while ago, and I got disconnected from them. I was trying to get back with them again and I finally did. Somebody got in touch with me from Verde. I’m gonna stick with Verde. I’m not gonna switch. I like the way they work. I like the price and what they stand for.

I never write reviews; this is my first. I want to make sure others don't have the experience I did. I submitted a request online in August to switch over for a rate of 12.49/kwh for 24 months. I received an email stating it would take 1-2 billing cycles. I just noticed on my December electric bill that it was not switched over yet, so I called to find out when it would. They told me that my request had been cancelled, but had no explanation as to why it had been or why I wasn't notified. So not only did I lose out on a huge savings for a couple months.
They refused to honor the price I was told I would get stating that it was no longer being offered. Their new rate was 13.19. They suggested I sign up online and get a $100 gift card. Since I signed up online the first time, got a confirmation email and then was never switched.. WHY would I do that again? Apparently a written confirmation is not considered an agreement with them. Needless to say, I went with another energy company who had a MUCH lower rate.

My Verde Energy experience has been good so far. When I went looking for electric, Verde Energy was on the PA Power Switch. At the time, they had the best rate. We were all electric and they were offering a rate for folks like us that didn’t have natural gas or anything that’s a bit better than anybody else did. Since then, our monthly bill was less expensive. We were with them when we first move out here. And then my contract expired, and their price went up to a point where there were better offers out there. So, we weren’t with them for a period of time, and then they kept calling me and saying that they got this offer.
The thing that was a bit irritating was the first time my contract expired with them, I went on a floating rate and I didn’t really get any notification that that was the case. And so, we ended up paying quite a bit more for a couple of months. And then getting hold of somebody initially to say, “Let us go back to the power company if we’re gonna float rates” was a bit difficult. So, you had to play some games with their phone system. When you selected the option of saying that you wanted to discontinue the service, you sat on hold forever. So, I had to trick it by saying, “I wanna sign up for new service.” Then I got somebody right away.

I was contacted by Verde Energy about switching to them. Raina, verification #** was the person I was talking to. He quoted me a distribution charge of .042 per kwh and a and the generation & transmission charge of .0539 per kwh for a total of .0959 kwh. I repeated what he said and he again quoted the above. I was then transferred to someone else for the verification process and quoted what Raina told me and she said that was correct. Upon receiving the bill, the distribution charge was .06342 and the generation & transmission charge was .0959. I immediately call Verde to speak with a supervisor and was told it would be 24 to 48 BUSINESS hours. The following week, I called Verde and insisted to speak with a supervisor. It was Raina and he said he never spoke to me. I said ** you, hung up, and switch suppliers.

When I wasn’t eligible for PCAP, a government agency that helps pay your electric bill if you’re on a tight income, I had to see what other options I had. The first time I heard of Verde Energy, I thought they were a scam and I didn’t want to talk to them. They kept trying to call and I thought, “Okay. I have to listen to them.” Finally, a social worker and I called them. I didn’t know for sure how it works. The one thing they did explain was the bill would be a little cheaper than just paying Penn Power. It's true and their service is great. This morning somebody called, offering a rebate, and I thought that was a scam too, so I hung up. I’ll just wait for another call. It was good experience, overall, and I'm satisfied. I have also mentioned them to a couple people and have given their number.

My previous supplier gave me a much higher rate and Verde Energy had a comparative one. I was paying 11 cents something, probably more than twice as much I should be paying. Then I had a very pleasant experience with Verde's customer service when I was trying to switch. I’m happy with their service.

Somebody from Verde Energy came to my house and explained everything, and I just went for that. We felt comfortable about the rep being here and talking to us about Verde Energy. It was cheaper and better that it’s green, because they get the energy through windmills. We already got our first bill and there was about 30 bucks savings. So far, working with Verde Energy has been all right.

The fact that Verde's rate was the same if not slightly lower than Duquesne Light's standard rates made me switch. Also, Verde uses 100% renewable energy. I've had them as my supplier for a while, and they've been good.

Today I received a call from someone telling me they were from JCPL my electric company. Said person tells me I was very charged and they will send me a check "refund" of $100. Knew my name, address, etc. Can I just confirm my customer number. Like a putz I gave it to him. Then tells me to write down Verde Energy and answer 3 questions that Verde will not be my electric company. If this isn't deceptive business practice I don't know what is. I call Verde and I'm told that it's not Verde but a third party company. Not for nothing, you're paying said third party. If we are not WHY would they be selling your services? The only complaint we had with Verde Energy recently was that we had switched over, and then they had the coupons to get $50 back after a month or $50 back after six months, so like $100 and that never happened. So, I called and they saw that I sent the one coupon in and said it would be sent out.

Verde Energy continually calls my 91 year old mom to have her switch her gas and electric to their company. Well, they were finally successful. She verbally agreed. I called them to cancel and they said I could not as she verbally agreed and her conversation/agreement was recorded. I called her current electric/gas company and they said I would have 7 days to cancel Verde once she received the confirmation letter. This is crazy. These companies should not be able to solicit people over the phone let alone switch the service without something in writing from the customer.

A little girl working for Verde Energy convinced me to get the service. It would make a little bit of a difference in the bill and every little penny helps. Everything’s fine. The only thing is, I got the first payment, but I got that way back in May, and I’m supposed to be due another $50 payment this month. But I didn’t receive any coupons to send back or any other card.

I switched providers back in 2016 to Verde, hoping to use renewable energy going forward at a reasonable rate. After a couple years, presumably after the initial term ended, without notice Verde put me on a variable rate and tripled my rate. My bill has been over 3x the amount it has been in the past. Verde never notified me via email or mail until the bills kept going up and up. There is no simple way to deal with these scammers unless you get them on the phone, and they will still charge you the higher rate for a couple months. Be careful if you have selected them to make sure you make the change before it's too late.

I someone call with page customer service phone stating PSEG was giving us a 300 rebate on our next 2 bills. Called pseg. Found out that this was a scam. Verde was trying to get to to switch to a 3rd party, do not give them any information. If you give them your point of delivery number you will be switched to their company. If you get switched you are screwed. I will be calling this company on Monday. What a freakin' SCAM.

Someone let me know about adding Verde Energy to my energy bill to save me money and help me. With our situation, we could use any help we could get. We researched about Verde Energy and they have mostly good feedback and excellent ratings. We got somebody on the phone. Their reps were nice, sweet, polite, informative and helpful. They answered all of my questions and made sure I didn't have any more. They even answered questions that were related to the topic that I didn't think of. We wanted to save the most that we can and with Verde Energy, you save money for a certain amount of time, then it doubles your rate. Plus, they work with you. I'd refer them to friends.

We were Verde Energy customers, and two weeks ago I cancelled our Verde service. I will admit that I did not cancel our service despite receiving notification our fixed rate was due to expire. I admit I was busy and didn’t pay attention to it. Last month (August), our bill was almost two times the PPL price to compare. My August bill from Verde was $243.43, and I live in a $1,100 sq. ft. house. My rate was .124900/kWh, and the PPL price to compare is .07585. Shame on me, I know. So, I called and cancelled our Verde service two weeks ago.
I just received my bill today. Since I cancelled my service, Verde charged our family the astronomical rate of .179900/kWh. Knowing it could take a month or two for PPL to cancel our service, we used less electricity and turned off our A/C to ensure we’d have a lower bill. Not so! My bill this month was $284.96 despite using significantly less electricity. Verde says they don’t charge a cancellation fee. They may not, but they sure do hike their rates once their customers have cancelled their service. Verde’s treatment of their customers is inexcusable. DO NOT CHOOSE VERDE!!!

Verde Energy ain't worth a **. But after getting about 100 calls, I was so tired that I said “Go ahead,” to the next one that called. It would’ve been somebody else if another company called. Verde Energy said that they were gonna save me money, but they have to prove it. I get some kind of a thing that they’ll call and say, “Well, Verde Energy have taken away from you because they’re not saving you money. And they need to pay you what they owe you, and they need to pay you $100.”

Verde Energy is more sufficient and has a more flexible time. There's also a lot of value in it being a green energy product. We've had the service for a year now. My husband and I always look at our bill, and the supply charge or the delivery charge is way higher than normal. But we've yet to bring this up to Verde's attention. We're trying to get on that their new energy-saving program where they have all those solar panels out and it is supposed to help lower your energy.

My bill went from 300.00 a month to 750.00. Their price is double what Jcpl charges. Don't trust them. They are not regulated and charge whatever they want. Do not use this company. I have my attorney looking into their procedures. I was mislead and told false information.

Verde is a bait and switch scam. They use deceptive tactics to provide "fixed" rates for 6 months, then jack up rates to almost twice the utility rates. Currently under class action law suit in multiple states. Stay away.

My 89 year old mother in law was somehow switched to Verde Energy's variable rate. We assume she received a notification to choose variable or fixed rate, that she didn't respond and was defaulted to the variable rate. This was bad enough, but last month her delivery charge was over $145 and her actual usages was $66. We called to cancel with Verde and were informed that the switch could take one to two billing cycles. So we're left with two more months of exorbitant rates. This month's bill arrived. Delivery charges this month are $159. It is infuriating that this company is taking advantage of an old woman on a very limited fixed income. TWO months to cancel this service is criminal.
We apologize for your mother's experience. Please be aware that Verde Energy has no control over the delivery charges - those are charges from your utility and they calculate them. The reason we advise that the time-frame to cancel is one to two bill cycles is because your utility determines when our service is cancelled and typically occurs on the next available meter read date. I had a phone call from Verde Energy and I thought that they were offering me some kind of a program or a package. Also, I thought the green plan was gonna be cheaper than the rest. I signed up because they were saying that they would have cheaper rates. The last time I talked to their reps, they seemed to be very nice and they explained things to me. It's going pretty good with Verde so far and I haven't had any issues with it.

I got a phone call from Verde Energy and I liked the way they were talking about it and the savings. Everybody was very informative and they explained everything properly. I gave it a try and it seems to be working. My electric bill seems to be lower than they've been so things are pretty good. I'm not complaining. We'll see how it is over the summer with the air conditioning going all the time.

I don't make much money and had to go with an option that I know would be better for me. I've been with Verde Energy since October and they keep in touch with me, which is always nice. I would recommend them to a friend.

I've had Verde Energy for a couple of years then I had to go with Duquesne Light because I have cap. But I'd rather have green and I don’t want like the other stuff. I ended up going back. It was a little bit cheaper and I noticed lower monthly bills. The team at Verde were okay, knowledgeable, and courteous as well.

I went into a store and they told me about Verde Energy. The provider I previously had was charging me a little more so I switched to Verde. Also, the green energy product is better for the earth and I try to help the earth. And the reps I worked with were helpful and polite. I would tell others to try it out and experience it for themselves to see how my experience is because it’s a good energy saver.

I was calling because I needed some assistance with my electricity and I got connected with Verde Energy. I like that their green energy is natural. That’s grass and that’s how one knows that everything is healthy so that’s a good sign. Then a guy said he could come out. He was very professional, kind, and he did a lot for me that day. Now, I have a credit with them like 600 savings a year.

When I first signed up with Verde Energy, they said my electricity bill would stay the same but it hasn’t. The first summer we moved in, it was only $54 a month, which was amazing. And then, the following year, as soon as winter started, it went up to $700. I went on a payment plan because I can’t afford $700, and it’s been in the $300 or $400 since then. There’s no reason for my electric bill to be $300 or more every single month. There’s only two of us living there. My son lives there on the weekends, but we turn off everything. The only things that are always plugged in are my freezer and refrigerator.
When I talked to Verde's reps, they gave me all the information and they've helped me so far. I don't think it is their fault that my electric bill is garbage. The rep did tell me that my rates would stay the same for a year. I’m gonna have Met-Ed come and check all the electricity and see what’s draining most of the power. I think it is just because we need to get the whole house rewired.
We are sorry to hear that your electricity bill has increased. We hope that there has been a slight difference in your bills since you enrolled this winter and we hope that Met-Ed is able to determine the reason why your usage is so high.

The first time I got Verde Energy, a lady told me they were sending me cashback for the second year from the company but I don't know how many it was. I've been with them for three months already and the bill has changed a lot. With the other company, I pay 100 something on summer, and then now, with Verde, I can be all day with the light on and pay only 30 or 40.

Verde Energy sounded good to me. I first found out about them through a phone call and they were the first provider that I've ever used. About two and a half months ago, they're supposed to send me a rebate check. I never got it. Still, they are the best.

I've decided to use Verde Energy as it saves me money. I went with them since all of their plans are green and going green helps with the electric bill. Some of the electric companies I used were expensive. But with Verde Energy, their cost is not as high like other similar services.

Too many companies called to give me offers and when Verde Energy called me, I was more interested with them. Everything they said was good. I’ve been with them for almost a year and I have no complaints. I don’t have any problem with my electricity and the rate is cheaper. It’s hot in my house so I have more expenses and I told the customer service rep that I have some microwaves, a stove and a refrigerator. He gave me good service. The guy who talked to me said that I gotta call or somebody is going to call me for renewal for another year, so I can put the old utility again. It's the first company I had in my life that had a good job with me. I wanna keep them and I will recommend them to people.

The Verde Energy person that I talked to was a good salesperson and he was able to lock me in a good rate for a year. For three years, my wife had terminal cancer and she had life machines going which caused our electricity bill to be so damn high. Now, with her gone, I keep everything low and I see a difference in the bill no matter what but it does contribute to the new provider. I'd recommend Verde Energy.

I went online and looked at Verde Energy and over a different electricity and natural gas provider, it was their fixed rate that made me choose them. It is the going rate so it has been fine. The rebate program is good and they sent they sent it right away.

Verde Energy called me and said they were cheaper and they offered an incentive. But I did not get that, and when I got my bill and checked it, it was way more than what they had said. I just found out this month about the cost because I don’t usually get my bills mailed to the house. I get them through the internet. But I had a problem with getting my bill, so they sent me a paper bill, and it was three times the amount that I would've been paying if I was on West Penn Power. Verde wasn’t saving me money, so I would like to get off of them and go back to West Penn. Nevertheless, I would still recommend Verde to someone. It’s kinda weird though because I have two companies. One is giving me the power, and the other one is charging me for the power, and then the bill was from West Penn, not Verde. It was confusing.

Verde Energy seems better for me. I have National Grid and they coordinate well with Verde Energy. I talked to National Grid, and they said that I am probably saving right now, but it fluctuates.
