Never showed up on time. Paid for a series of applications of fertilizer, bug control, and weed control. The dollar weed is worse than it was before they started treatments. The grass has not improved. So allowing TruGreen to treat my yard was a total waste of money.

I have used TruGreen for years but believe the quality has definitely gone downhill. I don’t recommend allowing them to “overseed” your yard. I have more grass growing in my gardens and ground cover than in the yard. I’ve watched the employees rush through the treatments and even miss entire areas.

Please if you use Tru Green of Texarkana please check your cameras to ensure they are actually coming out and doing the work! They try to send you GPS of their work. Pull up Google Earth and check your lawn comparing it to the gps they send you!!!

The issue have been resolved by TruGreen.

I have been a customer of Lawn Service for almost 10 years. This summer, August 2024, I got a call from one of their reps, telling me my bushes have a disease that looks like a spider web. He told me I could purchase a separate contract for bushes and trees where I get 4 services in the year. I told him I noticed my roses had that issue, and he assured me that with this service, they would be treated. He also told me if I did not treat those bushes, the disease would spread to the lawn.

The service is fine and the laborers always seem to be courteous, respectful of property and do a good job. Lately, however, the customer service is awful. They've obviously outsourced their call center recently and I could barely understand the person who I was talking to who had a strong, robotic, accent and talked way, way too much when asked simple yes or no questions. He (or she?) then got upset with me when I stated, "just answer the question, yes or no". What happened was, although I pays for an entire year of lawn service, they raised the price a month or two after I made my yearly payment which then resulted in them billing me, even though my yearly payment wasn't due again for two months.

We have always cared for our own lawn but as we are getting older wanted help. We hired Tru Green and our lawn is a disaster! Numerous times we have complained and reached out to our local provider and we get the run around and still have a disaster! All spring/summer & fall we have had a horrible lawn!

I do NOT recommend. We paid for the whole year, it’s been more than 7 months and we have see no difference. Their excuse was it’s because this summer was way too hot. Grass was being watered as recommended by TruGreen and nothing. When they would come out it was always less than 10 min. Do not use them.

Great company from sales to technicians as they were helpful and knowledgeable from the beginning to the end and everything they have done for me and my lawn is excellent. I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone.

This company does not do grub treatment in Florida. Please be aware that there are regional laws that dictate what treatments lawn companies cannot do. If you have grub damage to your grass this it MAY NOT BE WORTH IT to hire a lawn company like TruGreen. The 530 dollars will probably not be worth it.

The company serviced us, they killed our lawn, and when we called they stated they’d take care of it but wanted $850. One time they put flags up as if they treated the lawn but never did, we were home at the time. We are in our mid 70s and had to rake up their dead mess and reseed it ourselves. They also told us the manager would come & he never did. No show. Never called back. Too many hands in the pot & no one knows what they’re doing. The company is too large with poor customer service, failure to match their promises, and I would not recommend them. Find a smaller business with more attention & loyalty to their valued customers. -Ken & Pat **

TruGreen responded immediately to this review, apologized for the issue, and refunded half of each service since only part of each one had been delivered. Seems like it was the technician who was the cause of the issue. I increased my rating from 1 to 2 stars to reflect the solid response from customer service.

I have had Trugreen lawn service for several years. This is ridiculous. They were to treat both front and back. The last 2 years of service have been absolutely horrible and to get a straight answer out of them is like pulling teeth! When I pay for weed service I expect weeds to be gone! But supposedly after 3 full and spot treatments I have more weeds than neighbors who don't even treat lawns! I have called and called and was told I would not be charged 70$ then they send bill and expect payment and then have the nerve to say, "Have you been watering???" Take your service and your payment and shove it!!!! I will never recommend your services to anyone!

After the second visit from the TruGreen representative to my lawn, I noticed that after a few days the grass is coming loose from the soil. I have several large patches and have never experienced this before. Could you please tell me why this happened? Well!!

I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with TruGreen has compelled me to share my frustrations. Firstly, despite their promises, the treatments did not improve my lawn. Instead, the services mostly resulted in killing my grass, while the weeds continued to thrive. The lack of effective service left me disappointed. During my interactions, the representatives acknowledged their shortcomings, displaced blame and apologized for not adequately addressing my lawn's needs in the timely manner. However, instead of resolving the issue, they insisted on upselling me double the service. What led to this bad review, and the final straw was the customer service provided by their call center, which is abysmal. I contacted them to cancel my services and end my contract, yet I still received a bill for a service a few days after I tried to cancel services.

Absolutely terrible. Just stopped showing up. Despite calling 4-5 times per week to sell me more services. Signed up for a one time pest control service and they of course turned it into a monthly service. All they care about is selling you more services and not about the condition of your lawn. Would give zero stars if I could.

DO NOT USE TRUGREEN. The tech left digital notes indicating that he left messages for me at my home regarding my yard, however, he didn't. My yard has more weeds in it than when they started. The previous owner, Alan, told me to contact Chris **. The problem is that no one answers the direct lines to the local franchise so it all goes to the service center and they don't know Chris **. This is a terrible company. I was told that Chris would call me in 48 hours, but it hasn't happened. I will be canceling my service and writing a bad review wherever I can.

Avoid this company; they are incredibly unreliable and have done nothing but harass and make soliciting calls. Certainly, do not pay upfront; they are pressuring you to pay for a service that will not be provided.

We like to call this business TruBrown because of how their inexperienced technicians have burned our lawn twice. Also, the first time it happened, they didn’t even offer any discounts, just told us to water our lawn more. Then, we were auto enrolled the next year!!! They are terrible and overpriced. Steer clear!

TruGreen is an untrustworthy company. They reported to my home and lied and stated that they completed service when they didn’t. This is the second time this has happened. I terminated my service. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN!

I have been customer of TruGreen for several years. If all you want is a guy running around your lawn spraying for 5 minutes without even looking at the lawn, this is the company for you. I had a massive grub and cinch bug problem that started 6 weeks ago. Two treatments since for unrelated issues and three service people came out and all they did was try to upsell me. It's fungus, poor drainage, etc. They never even touched the lawn. Dug some small hole this week and hundreds of grubs and insects scattered about. Sent them photos. Offered me a free treatment two weeks ago and they still have not shown up. Good luck trying to cancel. More upselling and fees. Honestly, I write very few reviews. Anyone else would be better than this. Cost me $1,500 and entire lawn need to be tilled not just aerated, it's that bad. Had they diagnosed this on a timely basis, this could have all been avoided. Please Stay clear!!

Unhappy overall with the annual service. We had a service plan laid out for the year, which they didn't follow. The $415 aeration was scheduled for October 2024, and they decided to do it in the month of August. I left my account representative Isaiah a voice mail to call me back to talk about my service, and of course, he never called me back.

I have been completely disappointed with TruGreen’s lawn care services. For one thing, I don’t find them to be trustworthy. My first interaction with a sales representative was informative. As a result, I signed up. My experience has been downhill since. The service technician on the first visit got out of his truck, stuck a ‘I serviced your yard’ sign in the front yard and left…. He did nothing. I reported it. I should have canceled right then. But, I didn’t. Since I began with them almost 2 months ago there’s been an overgrowth of weeds in the yard and the grass has not gotten greener. Vines were taking over my shrubs. I don’t believe I’m getting the lawn care or the shrub care I signed up for. I’m DONE!!

I’ve used TruGreen for over a year and my lawn might be worse than when they started. We still have big patches of grassless areas all over the property. It was a huge disappointment and thousands of wasted dollars.

I have dealt with lawn maintenance companies for many years, but TruGreen in Wilkes-Barre, PA, is not reputable in my opinion. I agreed to an aeration service with them and when I tried to contact them with questions I had afterwards, I was unable to speak with the person who charged my credit card for the service after 3 phone call attempts. I finally got to speak to an "agent" for TruGreen and realized the local company was using an answering service. I found out that the only way I "might" be able to speak to the "owner" was to drive down to the Wilkes-Barre store 40 minutes from my home! I don't recommend this company at all.

10/14/2023 I signed up with TruGreen over the phone, paid over the phone, for a monthly lawn care to make my lawn thicker and greener. The payment was $538.86 annually. July 2024 I received a bill from TruGreen for $59.24 for potash treatment. I called TruGreen questioning the bill. They told me that I had a one year agreement for TruGreen but I had to pay monthly for treatments. TruGreen did not ask me if I wanted those treatments. They did it and sent me the bill. Also I reviewed my outdoor cameras and did not see their worker servicing my lawn. I told them that and they said he went to the wrong address so they sent him again. This time on camera he used his spreader on the front lawn but in the backyard he only posted a TruGreen sign. Again, I have renamed Tru-Green “LieGreen” and “CheatGreen” because they Lie and cheat their customers.

If I could give zero stars that is what this service is... WORTHLESS! From the initial quote 02/19/2024 thru to the last lawn treatment 08/21/2024, TruGreen was the absolute worst. Every treatment the technician had to be reminded to actually treat the small section of grass in back yard & side tree lawn. For the record, I prepaid for all services. Every time they promised to make a notation to make sure that the back yard & side yard tree lawn would be treated and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME they failed to treat the areas unless I reminded them to. When I was not home during the treatment time they FAILED to treat the back & side yard lawn.

Hello everyone, I have been customer of TruGreen for 10 years. My lawn is going brown. I have white grubs problem. When I called the company several times and I requested service for Grubs treatment, they have sent "Stevie **" who inspected the lawn. His observation was "heat stress" and no grubs detected. The funny thing is that I have sprinkle system going every night. Please see attached photos. I will not recommend this company!!!

Trugreen applied a chemical that severely burned our lawn. When I called them, they would not send out a supervisor. They do not want to deal with it and they have denied responsibility for their work. It appears that we will have to reseed or resod our entire lawn. The photos show a portion of the damage that they did to our lawn.

I hired Trugreen because my new lawn was having an issue in one small location. I prepaid for 10 treatments 2 my lawn. During the treatments, twice on separate occasions I was told that the tech came and treated my home and not signing the sign they leave on the grass I reviewed my camera footage and neither time from morning to evening did one tech step in my yard so I called the office and had to have another visit within the next couple days. Meanwhile as the months go by keep seeing the initial issue I hired them for and had address with previous technicians get larger and larger. One technician said I’m watering too much to cut back. The next tech said I’m not watering enough. Meanwhile as of last week half of my new lawn is completely dead.

We have had issues with TruGreen Lawn Service since the day we signed up for service. I don't know if the individuals we are dealing with don't want to work or what it is, but we have to call every time they come to our property. They "finish" their service, whether it be weeds, etc. within 3-8 minutes, start to finish, at our property. We have a pretty large lawn and that seems too quick to me. We have called numerous times and have not ever received a call from a higher up, we only speak with customer service, and they say they are putting notes on our account. We have had the aeration service cancelled twice, once due to faulty equipment, the kid was going back to the shop to get another aeration machine and would be back, he never came back.

The lawn and Tree & Shrub services were not good at all. After 3 months with them the lawn is terrible, it is in the worst condition since we bought the house 10 years ago. We tried to let them know about it and they didn't respond until I said I will cancel the service then the first response was to discount the price, which is not what I needed - I needed my lawn in good condition. Second the Tree & Shrub service was to come and say that we need to cut the trees that were in bad condition - no really a solution. Finally the mosquito service is the only one that worked partially after many applications.

My elderly Mother prepaid for service. No one has showed despite phone calls telling her they would be here. Customer service is non existent. I have tried by phone and holding, asking for a call back by phone, emailed requesting an email back. It is useless. You cannot talk to a person. AND when they have come in the past, they do a very sloppy job. The "techs" that come cannot answer even the most simple question. If you can... Run fast the other way.

Signed up with TruGreen last spring. At first my lawn started to improve. My soil is sandy, so was expecting no miracles but an injury prevented me from doing my own lawn care this year so decided to get help. After two "shrub/tree" treatments the few shrubs I have are now dying rapidly and my lilac leaves have curled up and have fallen off. Am very worried about my other large trees as the leaves are looking questionable. It is too early for them to start to fall. Cancelled the remainder of my plan due to damage. Trying to get someone from TruGreen to come to my yard to see the damage but no response. Someone called me back and left a message and phone number knowing that it was impossible to return call.

Tru Green came out 3 time to treat my lawn for Nutsedge. It's really hard to get rid of. They tried but no luck. That's why I hired them and told Tru Green that why I hired them. I called TG customer service to cancel. Their representative kept me on the phone for 20 minutes saying he couldn’t cancel my service until he read me his reasons I should kept my service. He said he would lose his job and couldn’t cancel my service until he read me why I should kept their service. Terrible, and they record the calls so fire your rep and stop the harassment when someone wants to cancel their tru green service. I had tru green at my house in Michigan. I caught their tech only treating half my backyard.

Horrible lawn care service. They come every month as expected (that’s a plus). However, the results they produce are garbage! I’ve attached photos of my yard, after they've been “caring” for it for 5+ years. Bare spots everywhere, weeds everywhere. And they have the nerve to come to the door wanting to care for my shrubs! You can’t take care of a lawn, and you want me to give you more money for the shrubs???? Are you kidding me? Don’t use them.

My lawn was overtreated and burned up. I have a sprinkler system set to go on 4 days a week and the lawn is 90% dead. No hope of restoration without thatching and reseeding. Trying to get contact with the local manager and haven't heard back for 3 days. The problem needs to be addressed within the week and I am losing hope that the company will stand behind its 100% satisfaction guarantee.

Questionable if some services were even completed, when we did see a 'tech' they couldn't answer simple questions about what they were doing, offering products over the phone for things that we don't have (called to say the 'tech' recommends ground mite and grub treatment because they noticed damage on our trees...spoiler alert, we don't have trees), aerated our lawn and took out our cable line, non-user friendly app for getting any answers, and brutal customer service when calling. Canceling the service was a 30-minute ordeal... They kept asking if we would finish the year for a 10% discount, then 20%... It was like an auctioneer. Oh ya, and months after starting the weeds are still present. And let's talk about the service reports...I received one in August which was a clear copy/paste talking about 'your spring lawn is still greening up...". Come on...

Can I give a ZERO star rating. Agreed to their service August 12 (San Antonio Office handles my area). They finally did service today, August 21, but it was the wrong service even though I confirmed with them 5x that I wanted grub/chinch bug service done first. After 5 phone calls, lots of wait time, 3 different "Customer Service" representatives who each claimed they had to speak with a supervisor... I never got a clear answer when they would provide the service they agreed to, and the promised "supervisor will call" telephone call never occurred.

I'm extremely dissatisfied with the services provided. We have a tree and shrub service package, and this morning, one of their technicians came out to treat our trees. He clearly wasn't expecting anyone to be home. He rang the doorbell at 8:08 AM and was finished by 8:12 AM. We have many trees in our backyard that he never treated, which we know because we have cameras around our house. This isn’t the first time they've failed to provide the services we pay for. Be aware and keep an eye on them, as they don’t deliver on their promises. Yet, they are always quick to send a bill for services that were never completed.

This is my second year with TruGreen. My lawn has never looked worse. I cancelled the service last year at the end of the summer because weeds and fungus took over my yard. I decided to try one more year, but unfortunately with the same results. I’ve gone over two months with no fertilizer application and only got weed and insect control reapplied because I called. I requested a supervisor to come out which did not happen. A technician did come out and applied fertilizer a week control 3 weeks later. He told me the more I complain the better the service. I did not hire TruGreen for me to manage. That’s what I paid them to do. I will not contract services with them again. Talking to the local company is impossible and they send the innocent technician out to deal with the complaints. Customer service stinks!

Worst company ever. I am so disappointed with them. When I signed up this year I explained and even sent photos of where I have peppermint growing that I use regularly. They verified with me that that area would not be sprayed with the tick control. First, I was suppose to be notified via phone call the day before and text the day of and that never happened.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! I pre-paid back in January for the season. My lawn had looked great for years, but once I started with TruGreen, it went downhill! It now looks disgusting. I was told, when I signed up they would come out and test my soil and look at my lawn and go from there. That never happened. They kept telling me a supervisor would call and come out. That also never happened. I called and got a scheduled appointment and they were coming between 1pm-6pm. Was getting text messages from them to track his status. Wife took day off and canceled her Dr. appointment for the day. Then at 4:50 I get this text message: "Your TruGreen specialist was unable to perform your Free Service today. Check the status at https://www.trugreen.com/track-my-service". UNACCEPTABLE!

I really hate doing this. I hate reading bad reviews, I hate the feedback that comes back from them, but my God have I been tested this morning. After spending hundreds of dollars with TruGreen on their regular scheduled offerings, we have spent more on extra treatments as the lawn took a while to respond. However, I must say the dandelions did go which we were pleased with, but once they died off, they left enormous holes in the lawn area. So.... Same old, same old .... We paid for yet another treatment to aerate and over-seed the lawn today. They did not tell me they'd arrived but did ring my doorbell when they had finished and were just about bolting off. I went out to have a look and I can't see any seeds on the bare patches at all. So.... I call up to talk to someone who told me that I can't see the seeds because they are dropped down the holes that the aerator leaves behind???? He suggested I purchase a bag of seed to put on the bare patches.

See before and after pics- this damage occurred within 5 weeks of hiring TruGreen to maintain my well established lawn as I am no longer physically capable to do it on my own. Clearly they destroyed my lawn, I went from a plush thick green lawn to weeds, brown spots and dead grass. Their “specialist” that finally came after 2 weeks of calling for them wrote on his evaluation that my lawn had mower tracks and needs water. I water religiously in the morning aside from the rain we had. You can see in the photos the difference between what my lawn looked like under my care vs. Trugreen's treatments. I am completely disappointed- the only thing I was offered was a refund - no attempt to fix the damage they caused. Lastly I rarely write reviews- for me to take the time to do so is a 1000% accurate account of my experience with Trugreen and hope you won’t hire them!

TERRIBLE is an understatement! Left chemicals all over cement. Left PITS IN THE CEMENT from chemicals- I have photo to prove from the date with the chemicals pits were created. Product did NOT kill one weed or crabgrass. Communication is TERRIBLE. Stay away! They promise to blow cement, they promise to use liquid chemicals- every person just tells you a different story! Chemicals can be on cement if it's dry and blown off- but cement was wet and chemicals were left to melt and create pits. Derek is very rude and arrogant- oh his chemicals are "physically impossible to do that"- fine we will go to court to prove that wrong! A little common sense that the cement holes match all your chemicals- some people need to be able to THINK and be KIND. Communication is key and they do not listen and have attitudes!

As a prepaid, yearly customer, I am extremely disappointed with the condition of my lawn. It is now riddled with dead patches, overrun with crabgrass, and marred by splotches of fertilizer from careless applications. I will be submitting formal complaints to the Better Business Bureau and posting reviews on Google to address this issue.

I am absolutely disgusted with TruGreen. Our lawn has never looked worse. Our 2 fig trees, which were previously very healthy, are dying. I have been disconnected 2 out of 4 phone calls that I've made. I was told untrue statements by a customer service specialist which led to me having to contact them again. I am getting a refund for less than I was told. It has been a truly disappointing experience from beginning to end.

Have made multiple attempts to get a Trugreen lawn care representative to swing by and provide a quick 5 minute assessment of my backyard weed issue, currently being serviced by another provider. Was seriously considering moving my service to Trugreen, but wow, what a run around. Will only look at my lawn if I sign up for service in advance. What a used car sales operation!

I am writing this review about Trugreen because my service in the Lewes, Delaware area is horrendous. I have waited over 3 weeks for a callback service because the weeks in my yard are terrible. Trugreen has cancelled both services on me with a Text. Message. No one will tell me why the service is cancelled. But I get a text saying your guy will be there today to perform service on your lawn. Then at 5pm both times they cancel. I want a full refund. They have gave me partial but that’s not good enough. Poor customer service. And when you get the text stating your service is on his way. You can see the truck is less than a mile from your home and it sits in the same spot for 3 hours. I was told a manager would call. None has called.

I contracted with a TruGreen so my lawn would look better and honestly I am going to cancel services. My lawn has so many dead areas and I have more weeds than I’ve ever had. I wish I would have seen these reviews before signing up. I would have found someone else. I will be ending the contract tomorrow and alerting my credit card. This is so concerning to see almost 6000 reviews at a one star. The company should be shut down. I can say that most of the reviews I’ve read are in alignments with what has happened with my yard, weeds and the fact that the guy is there for five minutes or less. I thought I just wasn’t doing enough. But I can see that something is going on.

TruGreen is not but a scam. They don't give full information when selling their services. They offered discount for a year and then all of a sudden new charges are showing up. I told them I don't want automatic start of the service. The work is also not that great. I would rather get it done with someone else.

Our TruGreen technicians, Kobi and Shawndell. I live in Riviera Beach. They both service our lawn. They both are very polite, professional and knows what they’re doing to both our lawn looking lovely, and makes us proud. Thank you guys…

Lawn is full of weeds. Called to complain and was offered a free application on July 22nd. It never happened. Rescheduled for today (July 25th) in the morning. Again it never happened, Called Customer Service twice and they were unable to achieve resolution.

Started service with TruGreen in April 2024. They said they would aerate the lawn and treat it asap with a type of weed and feed and overseer. They said they would leave flags in the corner of the lawn once they've treated (no flags ever left). My Ring camera shows them arriving twice despite their own statement of suggesting they have been there 5 times in 4 months of service. The last time they arrived, they got out of the truck with a spreader and did one 30 second "U" shaped walk in the front lawn and got back in their truck and left.

If there is option to select negative star I would have selected that for TruGreen. This is worst ever company I came across. I don't know about many but any of their service (Lawn and Tree/Shrub treatment) really worked for us. Every time I talk to technician they always talk about something that doesn't make sense. Finally I got it all canceled. Even after I canceled it they continue sending technician to service and sent bill for that. When I called Customer service they were not at all cooperative. They did same earlier when I canceled Lawn service and they keep on sending bills. Finally gave up and paid for one service which I never requested for. This time I have email proof that I have canceled all the service and bill and service that was done after the cancellation. Please don't use TruGreen service. They are horrible.

I wish I could say worth it. This is our 3rd year and our lawn looks the worst it's ever. It's been an uphill battle the last 2 years. Truegreen would notify me they completed my lawn service, meanwhile they would never show up. Tracks in the yard show they don't cover the entire yard. I was quoted one price, it wasn't honored and was told because they need employee raises. I wish I could put a photo in here to show the magnitude of weeds. What are they treating? My neighbor across the way has lawn doctor. Definitely can see the difference. Embarrassing I pay so much with little to no results. I gave them a shot.

I have been using Tru Green for years. I just added a 3rd property to my account. Every spring I pay in full for my properties. This year I have had nothing but hassle with the call center, the scheduling and now they’re billing me for something I didn’t ask for. Apparently they went out to the newest property and sprayed for mosquitoes twice and are telling me that I’m past due and now they’re sending it to collection. I didn’t ask them to go out there and spray for mosquitoes. So now the relentless phone calls for money past due is consuming my summer.

Sprayed my lawn for crab grass in 94* and technician changed bag of chemicals before he sprayed. Lawn is dead every place he sprayed. They refunded for this days service. See Photos Rocky Hill Ct TruGreen office for Southington CT.

Updated on 07/19/2024: In response to review was contacted by TruGreen and added to the no contact list. My review remains unchanged because it’s unacceptable that it was even necessary.

15 years ago we decided to have TruGreen spray our Spuce and Blue Spruce trees that we planted from seedlings 30 years ago as suggested by this company to prevent various diseases and insects from possibly damaging the trees that were doing well at that point. Several seasons later, we started to notice some dieback and excessive needle cast and limited new growth. We elected not to have a Spruce tree in our backyard sprayed because of our dogs. Therefore we decided to cancel TruGreen services since the untreated tree was doing great. From that time to today, the trees treated by TruGreen have continued to decline while the untreated tree and a couple that were difficult to access are looking great. Our conclusion is that just like human vaccines, chemicals on plants can have detrimental side effects.

Another scamming company, they have done nothing but lie, they charge my account 2 times in 1 week, told me not to worry about it, it was free..Been waiting for both of the unauthorized charges to be refunded, it been 2 months now, they won't let me cancel, they keep taking my money..Their service is a joke...I could at least understand this better if you just robbed me with a pistol.. All these scamming company are really doing the American people wrong.. TruGreen is a scamming company.

Horrible!!!! After TruGreen Lawn care, we have more weeds than the grass!! Worst customer service!! Only call center rep comes online. They don’t transfer to any manager or do nothing about any escalation.

Sorry folks... Tried TruGreen for a year... Worst my lawn looked in 14 years here in the South.. Have no idea what they were putting down for 12 months but I ended up with nothing but crabgrass and weeds.. Took over my own lawn care this spring and in 2 months it's beautiful... They are a waste of time and money.

I signed up with Trugreen to get sprayed for mosquitoes and gnats because we were having an event, gender reveal, and they made big promises that they would be able to be here in a quick hurry and sent us a text, said where they were at which was less than 15 minutes away and they would be here soon and this was about 1:30 - 2 o’clock in the afternoon and then just boom all of a sudden said, "Your appointment is canceled" and this was Friday so there was nothing. I called them and they said, "We have somebody out there today and get it taken care of." Well 5 o’clock came, nobody was there and I knew that after 5 o’clock nobody would be there and I was right!

Probably one of the worst companies I dealt with. I thought Weed Man was bad but TruGreen is the worst. We have more weeds on our grass this year that we have TruGreen. I’m sorry, but I’ll never use you again again.

I hired them to get my yard looking good and to get rid of the weeds because in September is mine and my husband 15th year anniversary and we bought our house almost 2 years ago so I wanted the front and back yard to look nice and it’s been almost four months and the weeds look better than any thing, Stop and I have cameras all over my house I have seen him sitting in his truck doing nothing besides getting out to but the thing on the yard and the thing on the door, I call corporate cancel my service.

Tru Green did my neighbor's yard and broke all my sprinkler heads. I have spoken to at least 20 different people that say they will pay for them, it has been since April, no check. I believe they are a dishonest company. The check is always in the mail but never arrives.

I had an annual plan. A major storm destroyed my lawn, so TruGreen could not service me until next season. TruGreen would not give any credit for next season or refund anything. When experiencing the devastating process of recovery from a storm, the last thing I wanted was the cold-hearted treatment and lack of understanding from TruGreen. I would never, ever use TruGreen and I recommend that nobody in their right mind would consider them. Their stupid decision subsequently cost them thousands of dollars in my business.

They charged me for a service I was never told or asked about, they put my credit card through for $77 after I told them I wasn't told of this service. Refunded it as an “unauthorized charge,” after very 1st service my 2 yr old sod with an irrigation system has big brown dead spots. I paid that same fee the day before my scheduled guaranteed service as I really wanted my lawn taken care of! I wait 3 days for “guarantee" service, I wait 4 hrs, tracking the TruGreen truck, which sat in one spot almost 2 hrs. I took pics of it as it struck me odd.

This is the worst customer service from a company I have ever had. They don't have supervisors you can speak to. I bought a year plan for TruGreen to spray my yard every 6-8 weeks in July. They did not show for 4 full months and there was no correspondence whatsoever. They not only did not show, but they also gave me a bill in May. I have organic fruit trees that I asked for them to stay away from. Time after time the grass/weeds under the trees were sprayed. This was very frustrating! My plan was to go until July. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with no supervisor ever calling me back.

WOW! I am so grateful to those who shared reviews about this company. Something didn’t sit right with me when I started receiving a call every 15 mins while at work as well as someone showing up at my door uninvited! They quoted different prices and even hung up on me when I didn’t want to prepay a random stranger through a text (Tony **) without a contract explaining the services that would be provided. You people must think we are all fools but, alas some are highly educated and refuse to be manipulated by your underhanded selling techniques. For anyone considering doing business with this company BEWARE!

Prepaid for full year of service in January 2024. Received 1 service even though text messages from their automated system indicate they were at my property 3 separate times. They didn't show up- didn't leave a small flag in the yard, didn't leave a bill/paper on the door, no one showed up in the yard via outdoor camera, dogs did not bark even though they bark at everything. On the phone for hours with 3 separate people trying to get reimbursed for prepaid amount less 1 service that they actually showed up for. Truly one of the most aggravating experiences I've ever had with a comparable service.

They are the worst. Please stay away if you care about you and your family's health. One of their employee was spraying Chemical Right in front of me. He had mask on, didn’t even care. I canceled my services right away.

This is my letter to True Green. The TrueGreen service people in general have been very good. However... the company to put it bluntly.. 'sucks'. You send a different service person here for each application and give them no definitive information. My home has 4 lawn areas. The service person comes here not knowing that and only does the two out front. I then must call your national corporate office to get my 'no cost' re-application done. Again knowing there was an issue, you send another truck out yet again with no information. If I hadn't paid you I in advance, I would've 'FIRED YOU' already. Someone from Local Management needs to call me. Not a sales person trying to sell me more services.

Fell for the full care package was told the bald spots would come back WRONG. They don't let you know what time they are coming so you have to trust they do something. Missed them by 5 minutes, NO sign that they were here & I don't believe they did a thing. The account rep (salesperson) is USELESS! Find a Local Lawn care company & pay a little extra. YOU GET what you pay for in America

I would not recommend Trugreen to no one, service is horrible. A technician came to my home. My cameras showed him not completely the job which was reported, next thing a manager was supposed to come out to evaluate the lawn...No show, no call, reason forgot 3rd thing a. On 6/18/24 a technician by the name of Anthony sent a message that he was at my property and the service was complete..I was at home all day waiting and again no show but sent a text message he was at my property...I was home and I have camera footage showing no one from Trugreen showed up today. 3 strikes. I'm done with Trugreen. I'll be going to Future Lawn Services.

Purchased TruMaintenance Lawn Service 7/19/2022. 8 treatments per year. This past year my backyard has looked worse and worse. Weeds everywhere. Today I found out that I have been paying for them to treat my entire yard and they decided to only treat my front yard this past year so I have been paying for a service that was not provided. I would gladly sue them for fraud if I could afford it. I stopped the service and they continued to send people anyway to spray my yard. These people are deceitful and dishonest. They are a big disappointment. My yard looks worse than ever.

I had my lawn treated three days ago, yesterday we went out and our Grass look like it’s been burnt. Whatever chemicals the young man used burnt our grass. It looks horrible. I’ve been with your company for over a decade and this has never happened before. I’m so disappointed. How can we get our grass back the way it was?

We signed up with Trugreen at the beginning of last year and from the outset, had trouble receiving calls beforehand from them reagrding next day service (in order to open the side gate to also have the back lawn serviced). After sending emails and speaking to many peolpe last year as well as since the beginning of this season, including the regional manager here in Ottawa, who basically didn't seem to give a ****, we decided that we were going to cancel our service with Trugreen at the end of this season. However, we had the fortune of having a great technician come around this week for our service, who took the time to chat with us, and was so great that we have decided to put of our final decision until the end of this season. Thanks Sarmer ** for your dedication to your customers and we hope that Trugreen keeps on and hires more really competent and dedicated personnel like you in the future!

I called to inquire about the mosquito spray and after talking to the salesperson I decided I wanted to try it and I also added on the spray for ticks, etc. What I was told on the phone vs what the technician stated was 2 different things. I called customer service that was not helpful and the follow up call from someone who handles these issues. Basically they said they were only spraying my front yard when they arrived. When I spoke to the salesman I told him my focus was on the backyard as we mainly hangout in the backyard. The tech did treat the full area but told my mother that I should have specified I wanted my backyard treated. Which I did specifically ask about my backyard. Salesman just told me what I wanted to hear.

I have just completed my 5th out of 7 lawn treatments for weed control. I called them after waiting and few weeks and had them come spray again because they had missed so many of the weeds with the first treatment. As time went on, another month or so I decided to treat the weeds with some weed control products I already had that I purchased from Walmart. A couple of weeks passed and those were dying. I still had a lot more untreated weeds of which crabgrass was one in particular that I had told them I wanted gone when I signed up. I just spent another $106.00 on Torocity to treat the remaining weeds myself with two more treatments to go. I gave them a chance and they totally failed based on my experience and expectations.

I signed up for a prepaid lawn care service to include lime, weed control and fertilizer. My first application I received these products. I received a few more fertilizer applications and I noticed my weeds were out of control, so I reviewed my invoices and noticed I hadn’t received any weed control. I called and my call was escalated to an operations manager. I was promised three free services to include fertilizer and weed control. I was promised a preferred technician. My last treatment included three different technicians with three different products. I called and complained and spoke to a very unfriendly ’supervisor’. I sent emails complaining about her. I finally received a call back regarding my interaction and they left a message. I didn’t return the call because I’m over this company. Just want my last two free services and be done.

Terrible service. Poor communications, sent me a notice that they were coming to fertilize but never showed up then said they were coming the next day. Showed up but ran out of fertilizer and couldn't spray my lawn. Took off and never heard from anyone, I tried to call but got someone from out of state and she said there is no one to call in Michigan. Never again. Poor management.

I have given this company 2 different chances to make it right by their service they offered. Unfortunately they haven’t done anything about it. No one showed up for the services or treatment of my yard. All they say is, "Sorry for your experience" and no one from management will come and take care of it. I have canceled my contract with them and it was a waste of money.

I was very satisfied with the results in my front yard. I paid for one year in full but after that I called to cancel the service. Then is when the nightmare started. I called in April to discontinue the service, but after 2 months I noticed two charges for every month, that I haven’t noticed, I called back right away, to let them know that I don’t want their service anymore, once again. But first I called my credit card company to stop payments to TRUGREEN, from then on, because I had to pay for the 2 unauthorized payments. But after this they showed up again at my house, and called me trying to get the payment. At this point I don’t know if there’s no good communication between them or what. But the last person that I talked to, she told me her first name is Ariel, refused to give me her last, was so rude, that she hang up on me. Terrible costumer service!!! I wanted to go back to them eventually, but at this point there’s no way I would.

I was in need of True Green for my Lawn needs... I responded to a Facebook ad and I received a quote, I thought it was very high, so I checked with other companies and found a better rate for more service... True Green called me back as a follow-up call and I told them of my decision...the person became very rude and disrespectful... They said, "I hope you don't lose your lawn!!!" And hung up on me!! I have received at least 5 more calls from representatives. I asked to be taken off of their call list. Rude employees/ high prices for service. Beware consumers.

This company is run by idiots. In March they said they were going to aerate. They didn’t get to it until May. I have bald spots all over my lawn. When the technician was here, I asked when they were going to reseed. He said they don’t reseed. I called the local branch to confirm, was told that they do, and set up an appointment to have it done 6/4. Nobody showed.

There is a reason 70% rate them a 1. I’d rate them zero if I could. Untrained and unprofessional staff throughout the company. They offered a payment plan that they violated and no one cares to handle their mistake.

I was very pleased with Alexander ** mosquito defense service on my property today. He explained what he would be doing on my property and potential issues that I would have with stagnant water on the property. He walked through the 1 acre of my property and sprayed around all the bunches and trees. He was careful around my pond as I have fishes and around the fountain areas as well. He explained that I should not allow my dogs out for a couple of hours after he has sprayed. Information provided was very helpful. I called Trugreen at 10.30am because I have a party this weekend and they accommodated me and scheduled a service call on the same day. I really do appreciate the customer service. Highly recommended. Now we can enjoy our backyard and the summer in peace.

I called TruGreen specifically about the sticker weeds in my lawn. The person I spoke to initially told me that they GUARANTEE that they could take care of the problem with my lawn. I paid in full up front. Long story short TruGreen killed my grass. Called our local representative every day. Left messages (crickets). Sent pictures via email...Nothing. This company should be shut down. They don't guarantee anything and once they get your money kill your grass there is no recourse. I even reported them to the BBB. I don't think anything will come from that. Please do not use TruGreen's services. We have had to dig up our lawn in our pool area and put down new sod. TruGreen is the worst decision I ever made. I see their commercials and it infuriates me. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a horrible experience with TruGreen. I saw no improvement in my lawn. So I requested to discuss the issue and see what other steps could be taken to improve the lawn. I was told the tech was coming out today and that he would stop in and discuss my options. Not only did he not stop in to speak to me, he lied about it. On my receipt it says "I knocked on your door, I'm sorry I missed you...", but that is a flat out lie. I work from home and my office is 3 feet from the front door. I would have heard a knock.

The worst company EVER!! First, they keep renewing you even when you complain and say pls deactivate my account. 2nd the spraying is HARMFUL and not safe for vegetation, people, or animals, lastly they spray in the rain!!! It’s one thing if it’s for lawn care, but not to fight mosquitoes, ticks, etc. To even get a hold of someone on the phone is absurd. They make it as difficult as possible for you to deactivate the account. Go with Wicked Green or Pure Solutions! Great customer care and organic/safe!

This was my first time getting a lawn service company to help me with getting my lawn in top shape. I have chosen the wrong company. I was given conflicting information every time I called and spoke with customer service. I asked for a monthly plan and I was quoted one set price, but when I called another time to get more clarification, I was told the price quoted was for 9 months, but I still would have to continue to pay for the last 3 months even though no one is scheduled to visit my property.

I signed up for Tru Green 1st time (Pasco Office) and (Prepaid for the year) and they promptly came and sprayed my lawn March 9, 2024 and it looks great! Jared told me they would come out every 4-6 weeks. It is now May 9, 2024 and I have not been able to get hold of them since then. I have called 4 Times and get a different location every time. First one was Michigan, 2nd one was Georgia, 3rd and 4th time the Caribbean. One of them said I was scheduled for the week of May 13-17th. She could not give me a definite date. I called again today, May 15th and the guy from the Carribean told me I was not scheduled. I would like to Cancel, but I can't get hold of anyone to even Cancel my Pre-Payment. I'm so disappointed in this company. I made a Huge mistake signing on with them!

Scammers!!!! I got a quote for a monthly payment and they inflated it almost immediately. Their Ant Treatment was nourishment to the ants, and they reproduced. The weeds got worse. When I called to cancel my service I was held responsible for a charge of $446.95 for 1 Ant treatment that did not work. I have more ant hills and more weeds now than I did before. They charge me $200.00 and they allege that I still owe them $500.00 + and they have been at my house 2 times. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people. Ripoff is an understatement.

TruGreen is the worst company ever. Before I hired them to take care of my grass my grass was beautiful. Once Trugreen started treatment every month they kill my grass is all burn with patches and they didn't do nothing to solve the issue. All they kept doing Every time I call customer service is apologizing. That's all. Never took care of my grass. Didn't even bother to replace my grass. I live in a new community and my grass is the worst so for anyone looking to hired Tru Green don't do it. I also have pictures to prove my saying.

Would give zero stars if possible. Just an all around terrible experience. They don't do anything they claim to. When they show up which is rare the longest someone spent here was 6 minutes. The first guy spent 4 minutes. How can you possibly service a 1/2 acre property in 6 minutes. This company is a joke. Don't EVER hire this company.

I paid $400 dollars for a lawn care package. It was money poorly spent. The work was shoddy. It has made little difference on my lawn. It still has growing weeds and brown patches. I will not use them again. I advice that you shop around.

Two years ago I used Tru Green and the lawn did ok through the summer. However, when next spring came along, about half of my lawn was dead and did not come back. I spent over a year writing them letters and trying to get resolution. Finally after over a year I got a call from a local Tru Green representative and he had every excuse in the world why it was my fault that my grass died. He agreed to come out and look at it, but never did and ghosted me when I tried to follow up. My lawn is slowly coming back using a different company. I am not sure they know the difference between Bermuda and St. Augustine as I have a mixture and Tru Green killed all the St. Augustine gras.

Please beware when signing up for TruGreen. Several issues: A. There is a scheduling and billing issue. They will schedule a service, not show up and still bill you. They insist you are wrong. B. When they do show up, the techs are not trained. I once watched a tech think he was putting fertilizer on the lawn, and when I showed him the fertilizer spreader level was not going down, he was surprised. He said they were not trained well. C. I have had techs show up, sit at the end of the driveway and talk on the phone, and then leave. I knew I would be billed, and I was. It's my word against theirs. It's a poorly managed company with techs that, for the most part, really could care less. It's really not worth the effort to deal with this company.

I prepaid for an annual service, I wasn't home when the tech came to treat my lawn. I have Ring cameras around the property and noticed the tech didn't treat all of my lawn. I contacted the office and told them my complaint. They sent the same guy to retreat my lawn; this time, he put over 25 TruGreen signs all over it. You can’t trust them, and terrible customer service.

BEWARE OF THIS SCAM COMPANY. Worst customer service, a supervisor treat me really rude and when I canceled my account I still haven't received my refund. Don't hire this company. Look at all the complaints and bad reviews first, once they get you in is almost impossible to get rid of them and to get your money back. I canceled my service 13 days ago and my payment for the whole year hasn't been refunded yet. They even try to earn my business back when I asked where is my money.

Nothing but problems with TruGreen, including:

TruGreen is not an upstanding company. They charge you for services they didn't do and you didn't order. Also double bill you. Buyer Beware. Do not let these people have access to your bank account. These people charged me twice for aeration claiming that it was for other services that I didn't order. Read your contract carefully making sure that you are specific in what you are hiring them for.

Can't believe this company stays in business. Customer service and quality of work is the worst I have ever experienced. I asked a specialist to knock on my door when he did his next scheduled maintenance application. I stayed home from work that day specifically to talk to him. He never knocked on the door or tried to talk with me. I called customer service and tried to speak with a supervisor. I was informed that I couldn't talk to a supervisor. It's been 8 days and still (despite calling 3 times) haven't talked to a supervisor and the problems (dead spots and weeds) are the worst my lawn has ever seen. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

This may be the worst company I've ever dealt with. They cannot manage to notify me, by email or phone call, the day before they plan to come out. Nor do they pay attention to my request that they not plan to treat before 3 pm. They tell me yes, yes, yes, and nothing gets better, despite multiple complaints. I would not accept a second year of treatment by TruGreen if it were free. The company clearly runs at its own convenience, not that of its customers.

I am so very disappointed in this lawn service. We have used Trugreen for years and the yard has not looked good past the first year we signed up. We have had four services so far this year - the last one being on 4/5. The yard is covered with weeds that supposedly have been treated. We always told they will turn brown and die within a month and this has not ever happened. The weeds are worse today than ever. The services we've received have consisted of a person coming for less than 5 minutes to run through the yard haphazardly throwing down who knows what, because it is clearly not making our yard look good. I will not ever recommend this company. Each 3-5 minute visit is $76 monthly and has been a complete waste of money. A hundred thumbs DOWN.

Could you provide this scam company at all costs? They did nothing for me, and when I canceled, they deducted 5 so-called services and deducted another 56 and refunded me back. I did NOT see the result. All my shrubs have disease. They sent a guy to spray pesticide. He came and sat in his truck, and after 5 minutes, I got another text that he was done with the service. I was checking him to see if he would come to my backyard. They say, "We must come back if you are unsatisfied, but do not fool." They came three times for my shrubs and did nothing. In the end, I called them and said the name of the disease, and again, another guy came and said this disease was before the plan I signed up for. DISASTER. CROOK AND SCAM company.

Absolutely the worst service I've EVER experienced. And it's impossible to get ahold of a manager. And the people that actually do come out, spray your grass for 5 seconds and leave. Pitiful service.

I paid for TruGreen service for my sister. After they applied their chemical, they killed all the grass. I had to pay $5000 to resod my sister's yard. See below pictures before and after. No help from trugreen

Beware of TruGreen's billing practices! I cancelled my service after selling my house, but they kept charging my credit card on file for unnecessary treatments. Customer service offered no help, so I'm sharing my experience to warn others. Cancel service in writing and get confirmation. Remove your credit card information from their website. Keep detailed records of cancellation for future reference. Do not trust TruGreen with your credit card. They are not trustworthy. They have intentionally designed customer service which is not helpful for customers. #TruGreen

I'm very disappointed in this company!!! My Lawn Care Person suggested I give Trugreen a try. I called the company and the fist person I talked to provided the information I was seeking! The person was very nice and a little pushy. I told him I was interested but I needed some time to make a final decision. I also stated I had just over-seeded my lawn, on purpose, to get strong and rapid growth. The person continued to push but finally said he understood. He said he would give me the time I needed and we agreed to talk again in four or five days. That was great and I was satisfied.

We tried them twice and got poor service both times and wasted our $ for no improvement of our lawns. I do not know how they can stay in business by just sending out temporary techs with no training and experience. They claimed to send professional help but never saw anyone as we needed some help with bald spots in our lawn. Would not recommend this company to anyone as saw no improvement.

Last year we had Trugreen treat our lawn for $80 an application. The applications were performed carelessly. I thought I would give them another chance. This year I asked for a quote. The guy said I’m right down the street, I’ll come by. I told him last year we had the applications for $80. As he drove by our property, he said to me, ‘$80, are you on drugs or something’? I was shocked by that comment. I will never use trugreen again.

We used TruGreen for 5 years at our last home. Started off very good, but waned very quickly. Always saw weeds and dandelions popping up despite their treatment. Our video cameras of our security system saw them come MULTIPLE times and they would be gone within 3-5 minutes for a half acre treatment area. It is impossible to treat that area in less than 5 minutes. Yet we STILL got billed for it and had to pay it, even after I complained with video evidence! Since moving to Florida, we will NEVER use their terrible service again. As a family medicine doctor and my wife as a pediatrician, we see thousands of patients and will gladly deter customers from using such a terrible company. We spent so much money for services that were never completed. Imagine if we did that in medicine? We would be held accountable! Nobody holds TruGreen accountable and it is sickening. Fool me once….

I cancelled my service at the end of the last growing season due to issues with my last application - I watched as they only sprayed half my lawn and when I asked the applicator about this he got indignant and said he had covered the entire lawn. When I cancelled they said they would have a different applicator take care of my lawn if I did not cancel, I cancelled anyway. Three days ago I re-opened my account - my mistake. In looking at the satellite image of my property with grass areas supposedly delineated with each lawn area square footage listing and the total square footage they said was lawn I found they grossly inflated the actual lawn area.

When they came to my house selling their services, they did not tell us the truth. They were not upfront and honest. Just to start. They killed every green in my front yard but saint augustine grass (and they will never accept it). So, I had bermuda grass and other type of grass, and they killed. It is almost the middle of april 2024. My front yard it is death, which it has being treated by TRUGREEN (for months), but a small area that has saint augustine grass. My back yard which has Never being treated by TRUGREEN it looks green and beautiful. And then they sent me experts in 2 different occasions to talk about the situation. They treated me and my wife disrespectfully, they tried to make us feel we knew nothing about lawns. They could not recognize that they made a mistake. They made us feel it was our fault.

TruGreen did, in good faith, waive the balance to our account. We appreciate all they did in this situation. We feel both parties will be making different decisions and efforts in the future to ensure everyone involved is totally aware of their responsibilities.

If you were smart you would stay away from Trugreen. I had them for 3 years and kept wondering why my lawn looked so bad. They kept telling me it would take time to see the results of their treatments but my lawn was not improving. Then I started working from home and to my surprise I witnessed the technician stick a flag in my yard and put a bill in my mailbox and then he got in his truck and drove away without ever treating my lawn. When I called Trugreen to complain they apologized and said they would report the technician and send a supervisor out to retreat my lawn. Three days later they sent the same technician back to my home and he did the same thing as before. Nothing!

I've been with TruGreen for several years. Everything worked fine until last year. They created a very "smart" schema to rip you off. When you sign-up for a new year and pay in advance to get "a few $$ discount", you don't realize that some of the services from the last year AUTOMATICALLY moved to the next year. And if you have not CANCELED each one of them INDIVIDUALLY, you will get a non-requested service and get billed. Nice! And after calling customer service- you get an answer- you can cancel if you don't like it. Nice! Not to mention that service is becoming worse and worse each month- maybe it's only related to our local Lehigh Valley representative. Looks like they are spraying your lawn with weeds (probably much cheaper). Or they might not even come- just sending some report by mail. Nice!

I've been using true TruGreen for almost a year. All I see is dead spots in my yard and weeds. I'm not sure what the problem is. I trusted their company to help make my yard awesome but now my yard is one of the worst in my neighborhood. I would not recommend your services to anyone that wants a nice lawn. 1 out of 10 rating.

I cancelled the service after 2 days before the first application. I signed up for the service on Wednesday this week and was told that the first service would be scheduled next week. At the time I was told that I would receive a text 24 hours before the service arrived and another text the same day that the service was to arrive. Yesterday morning, the day after I signed up for the service, I got a text saying that the service person was arriving today! I have not had my spring clean-up as yet and the lawn had branches and dead leaves all over it. I tried to use the "chat" function, entered all the required information and was then told that the chat function was not working for what I wanted to do. So I sent an email to customer service. There was an automatic response that they had received the email and would get back to me as soon as possible. I still have not had a response.

My grass is all muddy after Trugreen did seeded it twice and sprayed it every month for 2 years. Patches of mud all over. I complained and they would redo it and the same results. I would never get a big company to do my lawn again. They send out random guys and do a horrible job.

I signed up and paid for a full year of TruGreen lawn care services, hoping for a weed-free lawn. However, despite multiple complaints and concerns raised, the weeds are not only still thriving, but have spread uncontrollably throughout the yard. To make matters worse, they now claim that I have to sign up for another year for them to address the issue. Unacceptable service and lack of accountability. Avoid this company if you want results and value for your money.

The worst, most unprofessional company in central Virginia. They took all my money and did NOT PERFORM THE SERVICES! You cannot reach anyone in the company. So we are filing a grievance with the credit card company!

DO NOT USE TRUGREEN! I had a patch of lawn that died. They told me it would be green within 3 months. It wasn’t after a year. I told them I was not renewing but they kept charging for additional services I did not want. I am trapped!

Don't hire this company. Horrible. They don't even let you cancel. Just keep charging. Had to call for the 4th time today. My lawn is worse off since they started. Talked to customer support, he looked at the house and said it was awful and gave me free services, even talked about replacing my yard. Another manager came out and said it was somehow my fault, did nothing. The first person never responded to another email or phone call. Then they just kept showing up and charging my credit card. Cancelled again. New year, new charges started all over again. I wouldn't recommend them to my enemy.

I'm a business owner myself for 30 over years, and when you write a contract with specific things you will do, they should be done. I shouldn't need to call the rep and/or the branch manager and have no one get back to me for several days. Especially when you pay for a whole year's service plus extras upfront. After not being able to talk to anyone, I called costumer service and canceled my contract, but not after getting a confirmation number that I was getting my money back. Even after all of this, nobody called me to find out what happened. Terrible service would not recommend them to anyone.

I hired TruGreen services 9 months ago and paid a whole year upfront. I received updates for supposed services that were to be completed regularly. After a service was completed, I came home from work and saw there was nothing spread in my yard. I checked my security cameras to verify what the company had done only to find that someone came by, poked one of their signs in my yard, and drove off. I called, emailed, and even spoke the the techs to make complaints and nothing changed. I finally demanded someone from either regional or corporate to contact me. The response was cancelling my services without telling me, sending very rude emails, and when I was unable to answer the phone, the voicemail was also unprofessional.

I contracted with TruGreen in 2022 for a full year of turf care in 2023. As the year progressed, our lawn was in more and more difficulty. I contacted TruGreen and asked for someone to come out and talk to me about it. Initially, a worker came out and said we had not watered enough. So we watered more. Things got worse. I tried to contact them again and ask for a review. They never followed through. Our lawn is a mess. When time came to renew the contract, I did not renew. I found another company, local, and with a focus on communication. I have been very pleased with them. Green Side Up is their name.

In Mar - May of 2023, I called TruGreen of Denver asking some questions on lawn care for a rental property that the prior tenant that TruGreen was providing and wanted to talk to someone locally. When I did get calls from TruGreen, it was from people outside of Colorado (which raises a red flag to me, because how can those people know my lawn without physically seeing it). During the phone calls, I was told that in order for them to initially talk to me, they would have to open an account (not a problem). During that time, all they did was try to get me to sign up for service without going out see the lawn. I never spoke to someone physically in Colorado. This was the reason why I did not go with them.

I have gone through TrueGreen's survey multiple times and have never had anyone from the company respond. I have been with TrueGreen for years, both in Florida and in Tennessee. Two years ago you tripled the price. I canceled the following year. A representative called me and stated the price would double, but I would have all seven treatments just as the year before. This turned out to be a lie as you whittled the visits to five as opposed to the promised seven. This was the first nail in the coffin. Your latest bungle was when the tech came to the door (ring doorbell at 3:38 p.m.). They used to text before coming and after the treatments. Apparently TruGreen has eliminated this service.

After my post I got a call from Nicole who was so helpful! She tried as hard to help me resolve my problem as the salesman did to earn my business! She was able to offer a great solution, meet me halfway, and help me move on. Thank you Nicole for helping me resolve my problem and come to a mutually beneficial solution!

I have found TruGreen only cares about money and not the customer. I used them on another address and when moved tried convert account but had issues getting the accounts linked so they created a new one which caused issues. Afterwards when I was finally able to get into my account and review and report my issues with my lawn they gave me excuses. Months later different excuses same issue in same spots. This went on for almost year before there were times they claimed the tech was there and applied almost 25 gallons of product but in under 10 minutes without ever getting caught on camera, when I complained about this they would send same tech out or I would get call and he would make up reason for why it did not make sense for him to come out again.

Hired in May for five applications. One of the three drivers acted like they cared. Totally forgot the aeration, fertilizer and seeding. This was after they were reminded. Finally rented an aerator. Called and basically wanted to take a few dollars off despite the labor already being done. This after I got them a new client in the last 5 weeks with a bigger yard than mine. Totally disappointed with them. Thought this was going to be a better experience. It wasn't.

I have had yet another very frustrating experience with TruGreen this season. On three occasions, I have called and asked for our wild violet to be treated, and it has yet to be done. Prior to our maintenance service on September 15th, I called TruGreen to request that our wild violet be treated. The technician came and treated with the normal fertilizer and weed control, and told us to call to have someone come out to treat the wild violet. So, I called TruGreen again, and was assured that it was noted in our account that wild violet needed to be treated, and that they weren't sure where the mixup happened. They said they would send someone back out on October 5th to treat the wild violet.

I signed up for a year service for the trees and scrubs. I was told that they would even test me when service was going to be done so that I might be able to see what was being done. I received texts but no one would come to do the service, I even got one test that "Danny was at my house." I have been home all those days and 4 times I get back a text that "Sorry we could not complete your service." I called customer service and the rep guaranteed it would be done today. Another lie, so I called back to their customer service asking for my money back. They would not give me my money back. Shut these crooks down!

The first few visits my yard looked great. Then the weeds started to stay. They treated again and weeds still there. They came back and treated again and weeds didn't die but yard started to die. Today they were supposed to come for a consult and treated the yard again. That is 3 treatments in a very short time span. I took pics today to show how the grass is dying from the treatments but there was no place to post on their reviews. Also ref. For what happens to yard now.

I was a customer until the company told me if I wanted to get rid of the weeds I would have to pull them up myself. They are one of the worst companies I have dealt with in my life. Please don’t waste your money. I called them to cancel the service and the lady said sure but that they would like to send someone out to look at my lawn. I said okay but I still wanted to cancel because I don’t need them if I must pull out the weeds by hand or treat them myself like I was doing. My lawn was not looking any better than others without the service.

Worst company to deal with. They are only interested in taking your money and will lie to do so. I asked for cancellation multiple times and they continued to "provide service" and charge me a huge amount for it, then refused to correct the problem.

I was a loyal customer until they showed up one day to do aeration and seeding. They left a message that they were coming and I assumed it was part of the lawn service I ordered and that they would ask my permission if there was additional charges. I wasn't there to stop them from coming and didn't know that I would be charged over $200 for this service that they never even asked if I wanted it. I cancelled after this.

After prepaying several hundred dollars our lawn has just as many weeds as it did before we subscribed to their service. The manager came, inspected the lawn and agreed that there were many weeds, but the onus was on us, not the servicer to inspect the property each time an application was made to determine if it worked. It would seem to me that the tech after multiple visits should be able determine that the treatments were ineffective and modify the treatment accordingly.

Terrible company. Terrible customer service. Second time in a row I could not see hardly any fertilizer in my grass. Called to talk to a supervisor and got a run around from terrible customer service person that told me they did not have a phone number for a supervisor. Got two "free" retreatments that burned my grass. Supervisor showed up unannounced at my house a month later after I cancelled my service. Too little, too late. Then I was charged $77 on my credit card 25 days after they told me my account was cancelled.

I have had such a terrible experience with TruGreen. They never got rid of the mosquitos. Then they charged me double what they originally quoted me. I asked them for a copy of the contract I signed. They said it would be emailed to me within a couple of hours, that was over a week ago. I finally just cancelled. Please do not make the same mistake I made. I am certain there is a true local company in your area who will be so pleased to assist you. TruGreen sells overpriced and over promised terrible products. I hardly ever write reviews. I could not be silent about this experience. Terrible.

I prepaid for a year of lawn and tree service and canceled after the first application because they did not follow my instructions that I meet the tech on the first visit. They charged me $785.45 for the one and only visit. I filed a complaint with the BBB.

Yellow patches (fertilizer burn) and weeds everywhere and I have been paying for their atrocious service for more than a year. TruGreen is the worst and most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with.

TruGreen is a rip off. They won't make an appointment with you because they don't want to alert you as to when they are coming so they can claim they treated your yard even when they didn't. In my case, they came and stayed for 6 minutes. They left no signs they had been on the premises. No yard sign. No note on the door. When I looked at my camera I saw the person had stayed just 6 minutes and had not sprayed for weeds and had not even treated the entire front yard. He did not treat the backyard at all because it was locked behind a gate and I had no idea he was coming that day or had even been there at all.
