    They come door to door. When you say no, they refuse to leave. They stole an hour. Don't buy from them; slam the door on their face. They don't care about you. They are abusive. They will take advantage of you being polite.

    Avoid TruGreen at all costs. Our lawn had been meticulously maintained throughout the summer until TruGreen performed aeration during a rainstorm. Operating heavy equipment in those conditions left deep ruts and caused significant damage to our yard. Within days, large areas began browning from the tearing caused by their poor judgment. Additionally we believe overseeding had not taken place, as there was no evidence of new grass seeding present.

    When we attempted to resolve the issue, TruGreen’s customer service process made matters worse. Speaking with anyone beyond a call center proved nearly impossible. On multiple occasions, we were told that someone would follow up with us, but no one ever did. Every interaction led to excuses rather than accountability. Ultimately, TruGreen allowed us to cancel our contract, but by that point, we had completely lost faith in their ability to correct the damage or deliver quality service.

    Bonnie and Brian of Orange City Florida. I have a small lawn. They came and treated the lawn and within two weeks my beautiful flush perfect lawn was dead. I called them and told them about it and they told me that they were gonna charge me to come out and look at it for the next service. I told them there is no lawn to service so I don’t want them to service it so they said they were gonna do me a favor and charge me half to come out and take a look at it. I’m gonna call them first thing Monday. Tell them not to bother because I’m calling a law firm.

    I hired TruGreen hoping they could help me with my lawn. I’ve been trying for a long time on my own to make it a nice Green lawn. I decided to hire a professional to help me. It was a complete waste of money. My lawn looks worse now than it did when I was taking care of it myself. Getting in touch with a manager is next to impossible, and if you call in, you get someone from overseas, who has no idea what they’re. I spoke to a few people who used them in the past. They told me at one time they were good, but now they hire people who seem to be incompetent and don’t really care about their work. I would not recommend using this company for your lawn.

    I am very disappointed with my experience with TruGreen. They guaranteed mosquito control, but I have seen no difference at all — mosquitoes are still a problem in my yard. On top of that, instead of improving my lawn, their treatments caused my grass to turn brown and look worse than before. I signed up expecting professional results and reliable service, but they did not deliver on their promises. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend TruGreen based on my experience.

    A total disaster. A very bad experience. They lie to you, time and time again. They come to the property to perform the service, but they don't. They charge you money for services they don't perform or you haven't requested. Just stay away from this company, full of bad procedures and bad habits.

    I hired and paid them for a year. They say they came twice. I called to report they never did. They made me hold 30 minutes to do a bs report. I manager would call back, they never sent a receipt. You can’t get no response from anyone. Horrible service. Read these reviews and take them seriously. Do not hire thieves. I had to add one star because it would not allow me to go further. Rated a zero minus

    I paid for a service contract upfront for lawn and shrub care. During the year the weeds have never disappeared. In fact they are worse, and I lost over 8 trees to disease. The service is not thorough. Even after calling customer service to enquire how many treatments I had left I still got charged an extra $600 dollars which is nonrefundable for visits that they stated were revisits for the poor service. Do not waste your money.

    Contracted the service for 6 treatment plan last August, after second or third treatment, there were noticeable weed in some area and upon request, Trugreen came out for the treatment. In June, Trugreen sent a bill for extra for the job which should be part of yearly plan due to the poor job. To me, it almost look silly, not smart business to charge for their failure. I fired the Trugreen.

    This service is horrible. They talk about your lawn looking like a good course on their website. It's BS. My neighbors who don't do anything to their lawns have better-looking lawns. I've had the for 3 years at this house and many years at my previous house. The technicians don't know anything about lawn care except the minimum basics (meaning, how to apply as little product as possible without getting caught and how to blame the customer if the lawn doesn't look good). Even when they consult the "experts" back at the office, they don't know anything. At my last home, I had to tell the guy what was wrong. I don't know why I used their service again when I got this home.

    Now it's been 3 years. I had the lawn service and the tree and shrub service. My trees and shrubs and lawn are all diseased. Last year, I wanted to overseed. I contacted TruGreen (twice, a few weeks before and a few days before) on the phone and the technician before he arrived. I explicitly told them not to use any herbicides because I was seeding the lawn and the report came back with a pre-emergent application. I'm done with them. I could buy the Scott's 4 step program for half the cost and spray and fertilize my own trees for half the price. I saw the guy fertilizing once. It was a joke. It was about a much as fertilizer as the amount of salt you season a single serving of food with. Why don't you just drop the flyer off and not even bother walking the lawn. Don't ever use their service in Allentown or the Lehigh Valley area. You'd be better off burning your money in the fire pit. At least you can see something green.

    Worst ever decision I ever made to have them as my Lawn Killer Specialists! If there was a score below one star, I would have given them that. Terrible service. Worst customer care. Irresponsible people. Can not get hold of anyone to respond to your needs or concerns. Damaged/killed my beautiful grass. Damaged my flower beds and flowers. No one in town to get hold of. Do not return calls. They have call centers that are useless and truly a joke. Do not waste your money. Do not let these people to come anywhere close to your lawn. They kill it. I am so disappointed. Prepaid them for all service. Don't even know if I ever get my money back or any refunds! Their site is very difficult to communicate in. NO TO TRUGREEN.

    I have been a loyal TruGreen customer for years. Not only at my current home but 15 years at my previous home. I noticed weeds in my yard. I have called them over and over for months to come back and look at it. I have asked for a supervisor. I have waited here. Been late for work to be able to speak with a supervisor who never came until today. Each time someone would come they would say we are going spray with fertilizer and treat the weeds. As suggested I would call them back to tell them the weeds were not turning brown. I kept showing them the same spots over and over. Now they tell me I have crab grass, which is huge in my backyard. And they do not treat it. Meanwhile, if you Google how to get rid of crab grass, the first thing that comes up is TruGreen.. But the supervisor today confirmed they do not take care of it. Do not waste your money!

    TruGreen came and put double the amount of weed killer/fertilizer on my yard. Granted, the weeds died, but so did the grass. I had a nice lawn, and now, after waiting a year, hoping to have some grass come back, I ONLY have DIRT in my yard. TruGreen ruined my lawn, and destroyed the soil in my yard. They said everything was calibrated, but if two guys both go over the lawn with chemicals (they were stoned), it will kill the grass and harm the soil. I wanted to sell my house and now will be out thousands and thousands of dollars, re-sodding the front yard - a corner lot. Their customer service was 100 percent useless and actually rude.

    My fault that their guys ruined my yard. And, yes, I did water, but all that did was cause the massive amount of chemicals to seek further into the soil. And, to top it off, one guy spread the chemicals all over a huge area of gravel - since when does gravel need fertilizer? So far, the rocks did not grow, so that was useless. I seriously believe the two workers were stoned. I tried to talk to them and they could not respond properly. One year later and even my neighbors are pissed off at TruGreen. It is the highlight of my neighborhood discussion. From nice yard that had compliments to a yard full of dirt. Just plain old DIRT. Did I mention that I do NOT recommend TruGreen. How about TruDIRT. Still pissed off....

    Beware you have been warned not to use Trugreen. How are they still in business is amazing. My yard is full of weeds. They spray right before it rains then, it's impossible to get in touch with local office. Respray guy comes out with a backpack and doesn’t ring rhe doorbell, goes directly to the backyard and fake sprays with a completely empty backpack. When I called him out on it and took a picture of, and sent to company, his response was, "I didn’t realize it was bone dry when I put it on my back." Wow. They told me on Friday that a manager would come over first thing Monday morning. Well it's Monday almost noon. No call, no text, no manager. I called 800 number and he said even he can't call the local office. What kind of scam is this company running. My neighbor right next door is having same terrible service and is not renewing contract either. 90% one star reviews. Tells you something. Dont use trugreen.

    I have been a Tru Green customer since 2003. Until recently I have been overall satisfied with the service provided by this company. However, in November 2024 I began to notice some deterioration in some areas of my back yard. I called customer service to report this problem and requested a lawn specialist visit my property to analyze my issues. My request for a specialist was continually ignored. I also pointed out these bad areas to the many service technicians that serviced my yard.

    After 8 months of repeated complaints a lawn specialist finally appeared at my property in June 2025. I filed my first complaint in November of 2024, and the lawn specialist didn't show up until June 2025. Totally unacceptable. After a long discussion the specialist agreed to allot me $600 to replace some of the damaged sod in my yard, which I accepted. However, it was too little too late. Because of the absence of proper response by customer service and the lack of trained and qualified service technicians my St. Augustine yard has been destroyed front and back. I had no other choice but to cancel my service with TruGreen as it is obvious that I have been paying for services that I haven't received. TruGreen has become a very unreliable residential service company.

    We worked with TruGreen couple of years ago and were very satisfied with their service so decided to work with them this year to take care of Aphid and some other bugs on our roses and rhododendrons but unfortunately this time our experience was not good. We were not home at the time of service, we got the bill and this is what we see after 2 services. We also called the customer service and talked to them. The person on the phone tried to be nice but she didn’t have much information. We are hoping to receive the appropriate service we have paid for. Thank you.

    TruGreen Daytona Branch. I normally don’t post complaints online, but I have no choice. I’ve been a TruGreen customer since September 2022, and after the May 17, 2025 service, brown patches appeared in my St. Augustine lawn. Inexperience same TruGreen technician misdiagnosed the issue three times while a third-party professional confirmed active chinch bugs on July 1. By the time TruGreen treated the infestation, over one-third of my front yard was damaged.

    On August 7, 2025, Service Manager Carlo Johnson visited my property, confirmed the chinch bug damage, and promised the damaged areas would be re-sodded, mentioning that “Rocky” would prepare the soil and handle the re-sod. My husband overheard this conversation, and I trusted his word. Since then, I have emailed and texted Carlo **, the Daytona Branch Manager, and corporate, requesting written confirmation—but no one has responded. A technician’s weed treatment on July 23 killed all remaining grass, leaving my front yard completely dead and overrun by weeds.

    I am 76 years old, and this situation has caused me enormous stress and sleepless nights. I’ve filed complaints with BBB today, and I will continue complain to FDACS, the Florida Attorney General, and Elder Protection agencies. TruGreen must honor their verbal commitment and restore my lawn. Seniors and homeowners deserve better.

    The first fertilizer was good, but everything else was crap. I asked them for crabgrass killer, and they never applied it to my lawn. The first time I asked them to do it their technician refused to do it. The next technician never sprayed the middle of the yard where all the crabgrass is. The third time they did pellet fertilizer but again didn’t kill the crabgrass. Now they won’t refund all my money. Saying we don’t guarantee their service, they just give you a different technician.

    My most recent experience with TruGreen is terrible. I waited in the house all day for their arrival…however, no one arrived that day…then I get an email with a report that the job was completed by the technician…I call the office, they say they will look into it…the following day I get a message that they will arrive today…again, I wait all day until a truck arrives at 4:30…the tech never leaves the truck and after 5 minutes drives off…now I get a message saying they had truck equipment problems…how that could be determined without getting out of the truck and trying to use the equipment is a mystery to me…

    I call the office and again am told they can’t explain what happened and I would have to speak with the district manager…I ask to be connected and am told he will be informed…it appears I first have a tech submitting a report about work he never did and hoping I wasn’t home to realize that…the truck equipment story seems fake…but I hope the district manager can explain…Next day he still hasn’t called…I call 3 times but each time I’m told he is busy…Another day goes by and still no phone call from TruGreen…I guess if you don’t wait in the house all day to see if they arrive, you would never really know if they actually came and did the work…I am still waiting for a phone call with an explanation or apology but the district manager seems too busy to extend that courtesy…

    Great sales people but zero follow up. The service has been terrible. My lawn has gotten worse in areas, the mosquito control is a fail and the specialist do not speak to you regarding the service. Mow the lawn? Water the lawn? Etc. Customer service is terrible. Yes, they are polite, but it’s service from a call center 1000 miles away. Use local company, this is a big box store for lawn care without personalization and a big price tag.

    This is one of the worst companies that I have hired. I paid in full for the year and they only showed up one time to treat the lawn. I have been trying to get my money back and have canceled the service and they actually charged me for an application that they never came out for after I had called them 4 times and canceled. I reviewed my cameras when they told me what time the tech “went to my house”. They were never there. I have been told that a manager would reach out to me within 24 hours and that was 2 weeks ago. They take your money and do not provide a service. Thieves is what I would say they are.

    I live at Grandview drive in Pittston. Trugreen was not renewed because they missed every other yard when doing the development. Mine was missed. Green valley was not renewed either because they did not do what they were paid to do here. Disappointed in both companies. I put this in a nutshell just to make it easy.

    Recently discontinued service from TruGreen (Myrtle Beach Georgetown office). Bought an annual contract last Feb.2025 for weed control and fertilization. Tru green failed on both targets. Weeds proliferated and there was never any growth spurt associated with fertilization. I took their advice and did the aeration (extra cost). Discussed the lack of accomplishment with them on numerous occasions. The office personnel were sympathetic and arranged retreatments. The yard continued to die off and weeds proliferated. After 7 months i cancelled service. Results were so poor that I suspect it to be a scam. I gave them a freshly unrolled centipede turf yard and Trugreen degraded it. ---- No weeds to weed covered. ---- Fresh grass with 100% coverage to 70 % coverage.

    Tried repeatedly to get the local manager to come look at the yard and his people said he would call me next day to set up a time. Never called never came, several tries . Again I suspect this to be a scam. Take your money, never apply chemicals, see how long the customer will tolerate the scam. (Note: I Have contracted with another lawncare firm in the area and after 4 weeks the weeds are 95% gone and the centipede is slowly recovering.)

    After using TruGreen for 4 years and having good results, I stopped using them for 1 year while we built a small addition to our house. During the one year, I treated the lawn myself and it looked great. Now that I started the service back up with trugreen, the lawn looks worse than when I was treating it myself. I called and asked for an additional weed treatment that I was willing to pay for but they mistakenly seeded the lawn instead. 3 different times I called and reschedule the correct service and 3 times the service was canceled without reasoning or without notification as to when it would be rescheduled. I am not sure what happened but this company seems to care little about customer service and more about taking people’s money.

    I am not happy at all with TruGreen. We chose them because their ad specifically mentioned being able to grow grass even when dogs are on it. We have three dogs, and I told them that when I called them. They assured me that was not a problem. My yard looks worse now than it did before they started. They send young guys who know nothing about lawn care to throw something on the grass. We asked only for our back fenced-in area to be treated, but several times they treated all but that area. We specifically asked for a soil sample (which seems like it would be standard). We never got the results, so I called and asked for them. I was told they would be emailed to me within 24 hours. I never got them. I strongly advise choosing another company.

    It was a big mistake I hired TruGreen lawn care service this year. They charge you the whole area of backyard, but only service less than 1/2 area and turned out the serviced area one color and none serviced area another color. In the later July service, the area that fertilizer cart moved over are all turning yellow, left the yellow cart moving trace lines over the lawn. The none serviced area is even better than serviced area. Contacted TruGreen and they agree it is not looking good but doing nothing. They charged about $500 for service and results are not acceptable. If you think about hiring lawn care service, read the rating on the web first and do not make the same mistake as I did.

    I've done my own lawn service for years, but started to have uncontrollable crabgrass problems. I hired TruGreen and their results were no better than mine. I've called them several times and they promise to send out a supervisor, but no one ever shows up. I consider their service worthless, and their customer service based on lies. Please save your money.

    I was lied to from the start. I was told by the representative that because my neighbor referred me we both would receive a 100 00 gift card I asked to where and was told Amazon or target. Ok that never happened, and when I inquired about it I was told it's for extra services. Now they came in the middle of the day 95+temperatures and our grass is burned. I was told again by their reps that someone would be here on the 1st. Ok that never happened. I called to inquire the time they might be coming and now they say the 4th. I told them this is unacceptable, and they hung up on me. Do yourselves a huge favor and do not do not use these people. Waste of money. It's going to cost us more to repair their damage

    Signed up for yearly service and very disappointed. I've always done my own lawn treatments and had some weeds but never this bad. Crab grass is now over half of my lawn. They say they'll come and fix but never show. Do not use this company.

    I will give them a zero if I could. They do not have your yard looking like they say. My yard has been the worst ever since I owned my home. They do not value the customer time. They had me wait all day for an appointment, texted me entire time, sent a text they was on the way, then texted 2 seconds later they could not service me cause my gate locked. Mind you I was sitting on my porch the entire time with my garage door up and I do not even have a locked gate. They lied after I waited all day. Then when I called stated they was at the wrong house but I have been a customer for years and same tech been to my house. He lied and did this twice. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone!

    When I called, a woman answered and told me that I needed to pay the full amount before I could receive any results or further services. She was very insistent about it, but I didn’t agree to pay everything upfront. I found it quite strange that I was being asked to pay the full price before even receiving the first service. Usually, you would expect at least part of the service to be completed or some form of confirmation before making a full payment. It made me feel unsure about how the process is being.

    If your preference for dealing with the company includes waiting for hours for them to show up, and then washing them go in and out of your driveway in less time than it takes to fry an egg, TruGreen is for you! We are looking forward to the service, but apparently the word service is not included in their product description. Very disappointing, stay away from them, we dropped our contract after the third visit. I hope to sell somebody out there.

    High over priced and they will add service you don't ask for and jack up the prices. Stay away!!! They keep your grass green in cooler weather months and talk a good over the phone but when summer comes brown all over and talk nasty over the phone!!!

    TruGreen came to my property on June 9th to service my shrubs and trees. Within a week, I noticed alarming changes—my tree’s leaves began discoloring and dropping rapidly. In less than two weeks, the tree, which had been healthy and full of leaves for 15 years, was completely bare. TruGreen sent out four different technicians, but each simply insisted, “Our spray wouldn’t cause that,” with no real investigation, no accountability, and not even an apology. Instead, I was told to contact an arborist myself. I’ve never had an issue with this tree before their service. Something clearly went wrong during their treatment, yet they offered no help or responsibility. I do not recommend TruGreen based on this experience.

    This company has been a nightmare, they sold me a season package at the beginning of season. When You call customer service you have to explain to each new rep the entire story over and over. Hours of wasted time then they send technicians out and the products don’t work. My lawn looks horrendous and I’ve asked numerous times for a supervisor to call and no one calls me. I’ve asked for a refund and I’ve only gotten 1/3 of m investment back. Meanwhile, my lawn is disgusting with crabgrass and weeds. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!!

    We have 2 properties under care from TruGreen, the care of the Lawns in Florida and NY are exceptional. But that’s where it ends. We have been told more incorrect truths about price than a politician. Changes done without permission. Money put on charge card without contacting us. We paid upfront on both properties for a full year as per salesperson. Then 3/4 of the way thru we now owe more money. The only way we knew this is my wife watches our charge card debits. We have cancelled our services. NOW we’re in NY and will be now renewing in Florida.

    Our lawn had been just put in, and after a few months with TruGreen there are brown patches big enough to put a blow-up pool on. And, also, the front and back lawns are covered with leaves. They miss appointments, forget to fertilize, don't show up and give you notice of it, and I could go on.

    I had a moss putting green type front lawn that had some weed issues and occasional regular grass growings. No weed but ALL regular grass. Now it has to be mowed all the time and the putting green moss is gone. What a rip off!

    Service canceled 7-21-2025. Worse (horrible) lawn service I've ever encountered or used. The 1st lawn service was performed during a day when it was pouring and we got two inches of rain. After the 2nd service I noticed weeds were still growing unabated. I left my concern on their web site and talked with a rep on the phone. After the 3rd service the weed beds looked healthier than the grass. Neighbors on both side of me do not water their lawns and their lawns looked healthy and green. My lawn was full of brown spots. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    My wife has foolishly been paying this company for the last 13 years. Our lawn has gotten progressively worse. We have a massive dead spot in the rear, and the entire rest of the lawn is infested with weeds. For the last 4 yrs, I’ve been home when they came for a treatment, and pointed out the problems. I’ve pointed this out to 4-5 different so called techs, and every one of them had a different answer as to what was wrong and needed to be done. The last treatment, we ended up with dead spots all over.

    We finally called to cancel, which is the only time an actual person answers, and they swear to fix everything if we give them another chance. Foolishly, my wife said okay, but I was there to tell the agent what we expect. He assured me they’d fix everything. The next day they left a message that our service was indeed canceled. I imagine that after talking to the techs, and management, and realizing how badly they damaged our lawn, that it was cheaper for them to cancel an account, then to fix years of mistakes and errors in their so called service.

    They have never sent anyone out to my property that had any knowledge of what the problems were, or the treatments needed to correct said problems. They just kept sending so called techs out, without a clue what they were looking at, and spraying the same chemicals that promoted weed growth, and killed the grass. It amazes me that a company so large, could care so little about customers.

    This is the worst company to deal with. First the tech was here two weeks ago, the dogs were in the yard, m my wife was home, no knock or she would have left the dogs in. He just left. Today the driver did not even stop and marks the job as complete. The phone number for Lancaster Pa. is no longer in service. After three calls to a call center in Myrtle Beach, Indiana and the another to Myrtle Beach, I requested a call back from a supervisor. No call back today and my service will be cancelled.

    I've used this company for over a decade! I HAD a beautiful plush, weed free, green lawn. Last year I had called them and increased my treatments to monthly because over the last 3 years, every mid summer they were coming 8-10 and one time 12 weeks out, and I would have too many weed. Their do not have enough employees to cover their accounts! My last treatment would be the end of October when the lawn was completely covered with leaves from my neighbor that I couldn't keep up with, rendering it useless.

    Last summer late in the season, the front of my lawn turned white. My tech at the time, who was experienced thought it was red thread. I called the company for an evaluation and no one got back to me. It never spread, but the front was bad for the rest of the season. On Oct 6 last year a pack of Turkeys or skunks came through my back yard and dug up several holes destroying my lawn. When I raked up the dead grass I found grubs, despite grub treatment by TG. This year my lawn was PERFECT by early May. TG did a treatment on 6/27. I mowed the grass on 6/29 and it was beautiful, plush and green. The next day I noted some brown spots. Within a few days my entire lawn (1/3 acre) was infected with white, grey and brown.

    After the storms and the lawn being wet I can see many dark red spots. I called TG on 7/5. They made an appointment for a tech to come out in the am on Tuesday 7/8. No one showed. I called and was told no appointment was made. I was furious and fed up and immediately canceled my account. I purchased and distributed a fungal treatment myself on the 8th and hoping for results. It's been 3 days and I have a very small perfect area left on the lawn, so it did stop the spread however; no other changes yet. I'm hoping!

    This company has gone completely downhill. If the lawn was being treated properly it would not be diseased right now as shown in 5 photos. Customer service is difficult to get a hold of, you hold for long periods. I sent 2 messages on the app. with no response, before I committed to calling and holding. I'm extremely upset, disappointed and disgusted with my lawn. I can't even look at it! Now I'm in search of a company that will evaluate my lawn, treat it and who actually cares about their customers needs and results! After doing my own research, I learned that over fertilizing can cause fungal diseases. No one from TG bothered to tell me that or the importance of aeration which If that had been done properly, I would have continued with it.

    TruGreen - Beware senior citizens. I signed up for one year of service May 25, 2024 for weeds and fire ants, and paid the total of $673.19 upfront, telling them I would try them for 1 year and if I was satisfied we would go from there. After the initial services they had to come back and retreat for weeds numerous times and I still have weeds. They also retreated for fire ants in September 2024 and I still have them, too.

    As a senior citizen on a fixed income, I was chagrined to have my credit card balance almost double in my June 2025 statement. After reviewing I found two charges from TruGreen totaling $219.86. Further checking found TruGreen had charged me a total of $447.46 beginning in March 4, 2025. -Recall I signed up for one year 25 May 2024.

    When I called TruGreen I was told they started billing me early because that is when their season starts (so my initial one year signup meant nothing). I have no contract from TruGreen and have received no emails from them. I did not cancel additional services because I thought I was only paying for the initial year. BEWARE! They can charge indefinitely and unless you catch it, you are out of luck. When they came in June, I thought they were trying to remedy their lackluster service from the previous 12 months. I have taken pictures of the weeds in my yard throughout the past year as verification of their poor service. I live in Hillsborough County.

    Stay away from this company... They did absolutely nothing to improve my lawn. I have taken the time to look at their flags in neighbors & businesses in my area and the lack of results is identical... One more thing to note. After using them for quite a while hoping for results I discontinued service...I spoke with several people trying to get them to stop coming. This didn't work. For approximately 4 months they kept coming and sending bills. I did not/do not pay for unauthorized services.. BEWARE! This company is a mess.

    Worst company ever. I cancelled this horrific service as I was getting charged and services booked every other week. After going through that debacle, no improvement to yard with 3 months of treatment. In fact, they fried my grass. No improvements on Ants and Phil their supervisor is all about the deal and not the customer. I cancelled. Even called. 3 days later, another person shows up to my door half baked and refuse service and called TruGreen. Spoke to Ashley who assured me the account had been cancelled.

    Today I get a collection notice. This company a joke. No communication, and unprofessional. I have been trying to get this handled since last year and over it. Do not use these people, you cannot cancel an appt as it is ridiculous and doesn't matter as they show up anyhow. RUN!!! It took my current pest control over 2 months to fix the mess trugreen did and now they want to send me to collections due to their lack of communication? DO NOT USE TRUGREEN.

    I wish I could give this company 0 stars. First, all their customer service reps are salesmen and women. They are not there to provide customer support. They are there to get you to buy more services and explain why they are right and you are wrong. They will give you the run around about everything. They are also somewhat inconsiderate because they will talk and talk and talk. Second, I have less grass in my yard than I did before I started these services. The grass I do have doesn't even look that great. I can kill my grass for free but I just put $600+ for TruGreen to do it. I feel like a fool. Please please do not use this company.

    Third, they do not spend any time in your yard. They show up spray and five minutes later they are gone. I am not positive that they weren't just spraying water in my yard. They have no idea what your yard actually needs. I had to tell them that my yard has pests, diseases, etc. that are killing the grass and roots. I recommend you use a local company and not this chain that clearly does not have your best interest in mind. I have no idea how this company still exists. I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy.

    I contracted TruGreen this year for the first time. But it soon turned into a nightmare of an experience. First of all - their app does not work as intended. On calling customer service, they agree and admit to it. You cannot schedule services on the app. Neither do you get notified if they are cancelling a service. Second - you have to baby sit the representatives who come for servicing on your yard - literally. I had to do it twice because they would go around randomly on the yard spreading the stuff and get done. Third - even after scheduling the service, it got cancelled thrice without notification. On calling, they said they will send someone, but again - no one showed up. All in all - I had a bad experience.

    I’m very frustrated with TruGreen. Not only did we purchase the yard we also did mosquitoes. We had a party not even a week after application and our guests were leaving because they were getting tore up. All my grandkids have bites everywhere. I called on Sunday and received no call back on Monday or Tuesday so we called back. We told them we have another party next week and we don’t want the same thing to happen. We asked for a date closer to the party and they declined and said someone will come tomorrow.

    We got our yard fertilized today but my cameras show no movement in the back yard only the front. The back is what we were concerned about. I hate that we can’t request them to come it seems they come when we aren’t home every time. It’s frustrating. We have dogs and need to know when they are coming so they can be let out prior. They should be working around our schedule so we can ensure the job is being done. I don’t like to leave both my gates unlocked and it seems that they do not tell the different people that come out what gate to use either. I feel like I have to call and call for different things all the time.

    I signed up with TruGreen in late April 2025. The first application was discounted. The technician applied the treatment in the rain. I'm not a scientist but this method seemed fruitless. The next application was the last week in June (nearly 8 weeks apart). This time I watched the technician as they applied a single spray. I received a bill stated that they had applied two different treatments (I was charged double my agreement), again not a scientist so not sure how that would work. I can relate a bit better to ordering a drink, if I ordered a shot of vodka and the bartender poured out of a shot of vodka from a vodka bottle and told me he was also charging me for a shot a gin because they were combined, hmmm. Not buying it. I cancelled my subscription. I was told they would refund my account for the double billing but ONLY IF remained a customer. Not worth it. FYI, lawn looks no different.

    Although I do not like to write bad reviews, I feel compelled to do so in the case of TruGreen. I installed new turf in Dec and hired TruGreen one month later to handle the spraying. After the first spray service in Feb, the lawn had large patches of brown grass. The tech did not know why and neither did the supervisor who came out. Their best answer was that the spreader must have broken? After several more treatments, the brown patches were worse and the rest of the grass turned yellow. It was clear they did not know what they were doing, so I let them go.

    I spent thousands of dollars installing new turf and in a few months TruGreen destroyed it all. My neighbors think TruGreen should resod my lawn and if I believed that to be possible, I might pursue it. However, TruGreen is owned by a private equity company and the local office in Oldsmar is run by a management team, not local franchise owners. I imagine I would have to hire an attorney to seek restitution, and perhaps I should. In the meantime, I hope this review serves to prevent others from losing their beautiful lawns.

    Earl came to my door, offered me lawn treatment, weed control, and seen my dog and offered mosquito, tick and flea control gave me a price, I paid for the year instead of paying monthly to get a discount and he got his commission and I didn’t get the services I was told I would get. When I got a phone call from the same company asking me if I wanted to add on for a ridiculous price for something that was supposed to already be include, I had to talk to four different people to get a refund.

    Our lawn has never looked this bad, and that's really saying something. We have moss, weeds, and tons of mushrooms. Trugreen is supposed to be on a monthly schedule, but they're pretty sporadic. The last time, (about a week ago) they left a bill. I checked my cameras, the tech sat in the truck on his phone, then after about 15 minutes left a bill on my porch. I called, they didn't respond and the call ended. We've asked for a refund, but we're denied. I've got videos of techs watching videos on their phones while walking our yard, then placing a stake and leaving us a bill. This is our last summer with Trugreen. It's just not worth it. You can do it all yourself for 1/2 the price, without the headache.

    Yikes. I signed up with TruGreen last year to help with a grub problem in my yard. They assured me they would help. I live alone so I lock my back gate every night and unlock it when I leave for work at 8 am. If you need to access my backyard before then, you have to let me know. TruGreen showed up the first time at 6:30 am and woke me up. I called corporate the same day and asked her to please not have technicians show up before 8 am, or if they need to to have them contact me by phone in advance or when they arrive. This did not happen. They showed up today at 7:15 am, made no attempt to contact me (didn’t even ring the Ring doorbell!), did half my lawn and left saying the treatment was complete. Not only that, but my lawn is filled with weeds and I still have a grub problem. Will be cancelling as soon as possible. Horrible service.

    After nearly a year of TruGreen service for my lawn it is now Dead. They promise a beautiful healthy lawn but it's anything but that. They don't treat "that weed", they don't treat "that grass". You need to spend more money for this or that. 10 months into it and my grass is worse than when we started. You call but solve nothing. You ask for a supervisor and "they will call you back in 3 days". You pay good money for this and it's absolute garbage. Run! Don't walk. Save your money and patience.

    I have done my own lawn care for years and have a very nice lawn to begin with, it I had clover that was establishing out of control and couldn’t control it with granular products and don’t have the time to spray my yard. Within two services from TruGreen my clover problem was gone. I continued with TruGreen after that to handle weed control and fertilizing and have been pleasantly surprised with the results. Considering a bag of fertilizer costs me $75, and a service from TruGreen where they apply three separate treatments costs the same, I just decided to stick with them. I do apply some iron here and there to darken up my green but otherwise don’t have to worry about my fertilizing anymore.

    Don't use this company, they don't care about your lawn, the just care about your payments, I had 4 lawns with them and all have suffered, the workers who apply the fertilizer do not even look at your lawn to see what it needs anything, they just arrive and apply the chemicals, also they don't speak English. It was impossible to ask them any questions, I called the toll free number and get a random customer service girl with no experience, even after she recorded my complaints not one person called back. So, guess what I canceled all 4 accounts and not one person from the Franchise called to ask why I canceled my accounts.... such a poorly run company.

    I ordered a 50% off one time treatment deal that was left in my mail box. The technician was in my property for 5 minutes and put their flag and put chemicals at two different corners. I thought he will come back. I was sent bill for two treatments one for 50% off and another $80 for soil lime treatment. I called and reported about bad job and extra treatment. The customer service is a joke. They charged my card and I disputed with my card company. The dispute was in my favor. But, now I am getting the bill in mail. The company have no respect for customer complaint. They hide behind their technician input. They never send anyone to find if the technician did a good job or not.

    They give you a monthly payment amount. Then they show up and charge you 3 times in the 1st month. They did a service which I was lead to believe was part of the monthly service, but it was not. I did have a fire ant control done and was charged $293.95. (I felt this was extraordinarily expensive) I was supposed to get charged only $30 for the 1st service. But because they did cinch bug service which was not covered under the monthly charge, I paid that figure plus the $124 monthly figure. Then I received another charge to my account for an additional $124 as they claim they did 2 services at one time. I received a call saying they were coming out again (all within a 2 week period) at another $124 charge. I told them TruGreen will never set another foot on my property...EVER..and canceled them. This is a very dishonest company. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE USING THEM.

    I just want to say don't use Trugreen greens, they will take your money and do nothing. A year ago I decided it was time to get rid of these weeds so I called trugreen. Was on the phone for a while with a gentleman who said everything I wanted to hear and that was that. Within a year my grass was going to be beautiful. Well a year and 2 months later my grass is worse than it was when it first started. I have more patches than grass. I have called constantly. They have sent somebody out here to tell me the same thing that the grass should not look like this and they will fix it.

    Months after months of them coming out no changes to the grass and I told them I wanted a refund back. They told me they will send somebody out and they will fix the problem again. They sent another person out to tell me that my grass should not look like this and they were going to treat it and of course they kept on telling me over and over again that it takes 14 days for the weed to die even though I still see the same weed looking fresh as it did 14 days ago or should I say a year ago.

    A representative called me back and told me that she was going to bring this up at their next meeting and I told her I wanted a refund back. I spent I think it was about a $1,000 for the year for them to fix my lawn. They want a refund me $101 back for the last application fee. Are you kidding me. Do not use this company even though you see good reviews but when you read the reviews they are not in the state of Florida so obviously their workers don't know what they're doing. I wish I took a before and after picture but I did not get the before picture.

    They made promises that were never kept. Salesperson promised my whole property would be taken care of. First came to aerate only did part. Second came and only did same amount. Third came and I told him if not doing whole lawn to forget it. He called manager and was taken care of. Speakers jam up so don’t know how much got done. When they did liquid spray I thought my weeds would be gone but no still have plenty of weeds, crab grass and dead grass. Don’t think they seeded like promised or tried to fix. Last man here said he knocked on door. I have alarm on house and it didn’t come up and my neighbor said he did one side not the other side of house and spent 4 minutes here, I’m on 1/2 acre. DON’T WASTE YOURE MONEY. No hold on my lawn (like commercial).

    I "Fired TruGreen" 2 years ago when they damaged my lawn as well as some of my shrubbery. I had the Manager (from the Boardman Office) come out two times to discuss repairs and shrubbery replacements at their expense. I was promised shrubbery replacement and lawn repair but it never happened. I have been notified a number of times by up to five different TruGreen representatives trying to turn what was agreed upon to what they interpreted from this Boardman Manager. I put my foot down and said I would not talk to anyone else but the Boardman Manager from this point on and yet they still call and say that I agreed to allowing them to come back the following year "IF" they made the repairs mentioned above.

    This is the worst company that I have ever had to deal with, and they need to know that their relentless badgering only taunts me to make sure that other people interested in hiring them should think twice. Let me make this clear "I do not want any more calls/mail/email/fliers coming to my address. What part of You're Fired Don't You Understand?

    I signed up for a 1-year service in September 2024. I made advance payment for the 1-year service. In May 2025, my credit card was charged for monthly service. I called to request reversal of charges. I was told some long yarn how my year was over in 8 months- even when their website (screenshot attached) clearly shows 3 service yet to be completed. TERRIBLE!!!

    Hired them to do our lawn. From there? A mess. No one seemed to truly know what was going on. The people who came to our house were telling us different things than those in customer service. I was told we could get our lawn reseeded if it wasn't taken...by two workers. However when I called to schedule the reseeding, they said they didn't do reseeding. That was enough for me, canceled. Save yourself the trouble. This is a clown organization.

    First, I am not upset nor wishing hurt to any business but a fair warning is justified. Was told many things concerning what their "Technician" would do but not a single word was true, Told they would check my Ph, and weeds. Nope, never happened. Called customer service. Mostly non responsive. The "last straw" was that they applied their nitrogen mixture. It took the technician about 11 minutes. However, I have a 10-12,000 sq ft yard. A week later my grass looked like Zebra strips. (Green and very yellow) Have pictures which I sent to the company and asked they respond and let me know when they could fix. I told them please call me back within 24-48hrs. NEVER heard from anyone. SO< I canceled my service. Terrible customer service and very inept technicians. Tried uploading pics but would not accept a single photo because they have greatly reduced the MB that you can upload.

    We were told by the sales person we would have grass. I paid for several treatments up front to include over seeding. After the first couple of treatments, I found out that grass would not grow in the shaded areas and I needed to remove the Moss. This was different than what the sales person told me. After a few phone calls the regional sales manager came out, agreed I would not have grass without several years of working on my lawn. He did refund my money, the reason for a higher stars than 1. After one year after hiring a local person. The attached is what my beautiful lawn looks like.

    I decided to try TruGreen, I recently bought a house and wanted someone reliable who could keep my yard looking green, and without weeds. Mind you it was already green, I just needed someone to keep it up for me as I do not have the time to do so. I was not looking for someone who I needed to "babysit." This started on April when I reached out, my neighbor across the street warned me about TruGreen, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, "worst decision ever". They came the first time in April, applied fertilizer and supposedly the liquid spray, well I do have cameras in my property and I was present at the time of service... Only fertilizer was applied.

    I called and complained. About a week or two after, they send someone else who applied the liquid and more fertilizer. They did the regular schedule 2 weeks after and applied additional fertilizer. At this point I am concern about all this fertilizer being applied. I would assumed they are the expert and that they know what they are doing. Plus going back on service, they did not send someone to "evaluate my grass, prior to application" which is part of the service they offered.

    To make the long story short, my grass is now burned and changing color from yellow to brown. They destroyed my beautiful green yard. I spent a weekend making holes in my yard, so that the grass and soil can breathe from all the fertilizer that was applied. So sad, I really trusted TruGreen to come thru for us, my neighbor has a different company and we were waiting to see the outcome of our yard to choose the best company. Sadly TruGreen is definitely not the company to trust. I am very upset and sad. Below I have added picture from the yard before and after services from TruGreen and that is just one spot. My house is a corner lot.

    The harassment form TruGreen attempting to sell me service after merely requesting an online quote is astounding. I received emails, texts, and phone calls non-stop. At this point I had blocked their number only to have a sales rep knock on my door unannounced at 6:45pm while I was sitting down to eat dinner. She attempted to sell me service but was not equipped with proper pricing or deals. Did not seem to have the knowledge to even assess my lawn to see what it is in need of. After sending her away stating I was actually in the middle of eating dinner, she returned and knocked on my door 5 minutes later offering better pricing. I let her know I was not interested, and she went on her way. Yet, I still received another phone call this morning from her trying to still sell me service, not even remembering how she was at my doorstep the day prior.

    I will never offer business to this company out of sheer principle due to the horrendously offensive and harassing sale tactics. I understand the sales rep was just doing what the company expects of her, but wow how embarrassing and desperate of this company. After saying I wasn't interested the price of service suddenly dropped $200. Guess I was just being overcharged in the first place.

    Seems like oversized corporation. Not personal. Overpriced Poor job. Lawn died. I went local instead. Much better and cheaper. TruGreen just wants your

    money. Only negative reviews on internet. Do not use TruGreen. Wasting your money. I had to pay extra to fix my lawn after TruGreen ruined it.... Lawn turned brown. They not care. I could not get help by phone or internet.

    Scheduled my mosquito service for first week of May. It’s May 17th now. Tried calling my local branch 3 times now, each time my call is redirected to a call center to outside of the states. I can’t fully understand the person on other line because of heavy accent, they can’t really help me, and all they can say is my service will be done May 30th…. Just disappointed at this point in the services and experience.

    TruGreen Lawn Service 5/5/2025 #** Paid $164.66. We had installed new sod along the front edge of our lawn and my the front fence end of March 2025. We also put top soil and compost down the sod had rooted due to us watering our yard daily. The grass was beautiful, green on May 5 when the technical service our lawn. Wednesday May 7, 2025 all of the new sod t had turn yellow and purple. I called to complaint and they send someone on May 12, a note was left stating no top soil or compost was lay and the grass was dry. I called again and a Mr ** -manager came to our home. Told me that the construction rocks left under the soil heats up and will damage the grass, and the grass is near the street. It will heat up from the concrete and die. Suggested I continue to water more. It will come back green because it's Bermuda grass.

    I told him I know how to water my grass. I have a 225.00 water bill. I ask if the tech machine might have malfunction and caused to much chemical to be spread or the new sod should not have be treated, he said no & offer to have my yard treated with organic fertilizer, told him that is what was on May 5. He could only say water the grass more. Nothing they can do.

    I have been with this company since 09/14/2024, I received a message on May 14 from a ** stating that ** said no damage was done by TruGreen and said he was told the customer was not watering the grass at all when they came out and they have pictures. Well back on September 2024 when I started my service I did not have any grass there. Mr ** is a liar for saying we had not been watering our grass, I just want them to owe up for damaging our grass and replace it. We were 1st time customers and paid in full for the 9 treatments which was over $1400.00, we will never use their service and I will let my entire new neighborhood know how we was treated my Mr. ** from TruGreen office located at 4953 N Stahl Park San Antonio TX.

    I have Trugreen working with my lawn. Totally unsatisfied with services. Signed up for weed control, bare spots and other services. Lawn looks worst than before. And cherry on the top..when specialist came And I asked about the plan, they got mad and told me questions should be addressed to who I signed contract with. Not the best choice. Sorry

    Tru Green's customer service and system are absolute garbage; they are no help at all. I have canceled my service multiple times, with no success. Today they put more chemical on my lawn over the other companies' chemical, they were never supposed to be here at all. They will not let you talk to a manager nor give a number for you to call. They don't even know how to remove any of the addresses I've had in my name. I will share this information to all I come into contact with, and I have a far reach as well as my friends.

    I initially signed up with this company to get my lawn treatment professionally services and treated. After seeing so many bad reviews, I decided to not proceed with this particular company. The reviews are not lying. The same day I signed up, the same day I cancelled and I have been going through hoops just to have my money refunded back to my card. I’m happy I never started the actual service because I could only imagine how bad it would have been since it’s been so difficult to have my card refunded. When asked more than one occasion at different times to speak with a manager I’m told the manager isn’t either there or in a meeting. Do not go with this company. TruGreen isn’t the company you want if you want consistency and professionalism.

    After 4 years as a customer - our sod lawn is now 75%+ crab grass. Was told by the GM that they treat a very narrow breed of weeds. They can neither treat crab grass, or, apparently, prevent it. The suggestion made to me, was to re sod the lawn. Buyer beware.

    Less than 1 star for sure, extremely poor customer service. Unable to get anyone to return calls concerning issues with the lawn treatments. Customer service representatives in my opinion are incompetent and lack the authority to handle any customer complaints or requests. The local office that provides the services do not provide any contact information and hide behind the national service call center. The original TruGreen salesperson in my opinion misled me about the services that I would receive and also the access that I would have with the local office. The technicians that treat the lawn are different each visit and do not have much input about the health of the lawn. I have requested on multiple occasions to have a manager visit and speak to me about the condition of the lawn, but as of this review no one has responded to my request. I will be cancelling the remaining treatments and handle the lawn care myself.

    TruGreen has been an unsettling experience. Our home was signed up for the service over the phone and online, without a view of my home's yard. They estimated what they thought would be the square footage. I wanted another service to be added on. That is when TruGreen dropped the ball and everything started. I called in multiple times to the TruGreen rep (who says his name is Joe) who sold me the service, and left a message that I had questions about the service and wanted to add to it. Never received a response or call back. So I called back to the 1-800 number. I made them aware of the messages I left, and that I’ve received no response.

    A representative told me they could not add on the service I requested because there is no way they could have created an accurate estimate of our property because of the trees completely covering mine and the neighbor's property. So, the request was sent for someone to come out and remeasure. I was told that our 12x24 wood deck, our 10x12 stone deck, and the enormous bush the size of a tree, as well as our other stone deck in the back of the house, should not be counted as lawn sq. footage. Not to mention the five huge oak trees and an enormous sycamore tree as well. No one came. I called again. I was told the same thing again. No one called to tell me when they were coming to measure which I find unprofessional and suspect. They waited for the next service to spray. To my came, they left, they said nothing. I called back in again to find out why they sprayed, while we are still waiting on the measurement.

    The rep that I spoke with (Joe) said, “the guy was out there and there is no need to measure again.” I asked how can that be true, and that none at my house was spoken to or communicated with. When I explained the situation, Joe proceeded to tell me he had “special equipment to see through the tree line and could see my entire yard.” He then told me that it is a lawn service and that he would subtract my driveway and my walkway which I found insulting. I didn’t call TruGreen to fertilize my driveway and my walkway which way. I’m not an idiot. Then asked how he tell me he can see my entire yard, that he has special equipment, yet he can’t see that my property has 3 decks on it and 5 trees over 100 years old, and a bush the size of a tree as well. Do they need fertilizing too?

    The further we got into the phone call, the more we both were frustrated and Joe sets up a “phone call” from a manager. Then says, “now look, wasn’t that easy?” Disbelief, if it were that easy why am I frustrated and jumping through hoops just to get Some security about the money we’ve spent for the services TruGreen Provides. This is a very unfortunate experience. I was excited about it all. My wife and I are now turned away and have no trust in the company. And as anyone can see from the recipe that was left on the door, there is no word or mention of remeasure, speaking with the landowner, etc. Nothing.

    I was a Trugreen customer few years ago. I left because they charged me for a work they never performed. When I called them, they said that maybe their technician went to the wrong house and they will send another one to perform the job. That never happened. So I left them. Fast forward to today, May 2025. I decided to give them a second chance and bought the yearly service contract with them. Last Friday, I received a service report but no work was performed again on my lawn. There was no flag on the grass nor the smell of fertilizer. The report states that the technician knocked on my door but my Ring didn't see anyone. It is all lies. I call them and they don't know what happened. They will send someone again they said. I am still waiting. This is the 1st application of the contract and they already screwed me up again. Bad bad service and not honest.

    TrueGreen has a great sales team where they promise the world and amazing grass but in reality it is not. Our sales person made us believe this would be a customized experience, said the grass would be green and lush. He said when the first person arrives on site they will review the plan to make this amazing grass. In reality when the first and even the second person arrived, there was no conversation. I asked are we going to review the plan and he just replied "I just spray". He sprayed the evergreen trees which ended up turning yellow. Would not do this again.

    I hired TruGreen after being very skeptical because of friends and family warning me about their poor results. Well... Lesson learned on the first treatment. After the technician treated the front yard he walked to the backyard, walked 5 feet inside the fence looked at the yard and then turned around, spayed two sprits not even near grass and left. Had I not witnessed this on my camera I would have never known. Needless to say I cancelled the service that day. First impressions mean everything and they failed miserably. Wish I could give zero stars.

    Like most reviews, I had a horrible experience with TruGreen. They killed my back yard during year 2023 (I mean completely bald), so I called them to tell about it. They sent someone who sprayed without any results. So, I told them that I will give them one more chance. In 2024 they killed it again after reseeding in 2023. I called them to stop my service. They had my credit card, So they kept charging it and perhaps kept servicing my lawn with no positive results. Basically, I kept aerating and reseeding during September and they kept killing it. My credit card expired and they couldn't charge (sometime early this year). They started calling me. When I told them that I had asked to stop servicing my lawn. They pleaded ignorance and kept calling.

    I told them that I have pictures and videos that they killed my grass. They said since we have stopped servicing your lawn, we can't do any think and by the way you owe us $180.xx. I refused to pay this amount and told them that if they escalate (send for a collection etc.), I will get my attorney involved and go to court with the pictures and ask to reimburse for the killed lawn and expenses. Now, I received a letter to pay or they will send to collection. I don't plan to pay and will take them to small claim.

    I had a different lawn company a couple years ago but after watching all the "hyped" commercials thought I'd give them a try. They scheduled for 3/17. They came out but only did 5 mins of spreading in the front yard and didn't even touch the side or backyard and was billed $70. I called them. They didn't even touch the sides and back and they said they would reschedule for 3/20. They didn't show up, I called again and rescheduled for 3/25. Still didn't show up, I called again and they rescheduled for 3/26. They finally came out to spread weed and feed on the sides and back yard. A few weeks later I can see where they did the spreading, I now have green lines about 10' apart. I'm not impressed and canceled all future treatments.

    Very poor service. I signed up for a 6 months service upfront and nothing happened good on our front lawn. It didn’t control the weeds and didn’t improve grass growth. They’re just a joke. They post many good reviews on their site but those were actual managers and franchisees. They don’t care about service, only about money. They would send me notifications that they would treat my lawn when it was freezing outside.

    I talked to a sales rep on the phone to get info on the plans. He answered all my questions and was nice. I told him I was specifically wanting weeds in my rocks sprayed and asked if they did that service. He said yes. and I signed up and paid in full for the whole season. The sales rep said he made a note to do the rocks when I rechecked to make sure it was part of the service. When they came out to do my first service they didn't do the rocks. I asked the guy about it and he said he was only told to do the lawn.

    I called Tru Green the next day. The woman said they didn't spray weeds in rocks as a service. She checked the sales person's notes and said he did note to do the rocks. She apologized and said she would report this to the right person so it doesn't happen to someone else. She was nice and handled all my questions as was the man who sprayed my lawn.

    I’ve had TruGreen for 5 years now and have had nothing but problems. Terrible communication between the office and field operators. Most field techs are inexperienced. The ones that know anything are constantly moved around and instead of getting familiar with a customer and or job, it’s a new experience all the time. We have requested specific areas to be treated from mosquito defense, to lawn care, to perimeter pest control. We have 5 of their services. There’s ALWAYS an issue. Last year they burned our new grass with fertilizer after the reseed was done. They told me they’d tell the next guy and put it in the notes to not do our side yard. Well, they put it in there. But he didn’t read the notes. He was another new guy on the route. I got a 2 spray credit. No help with the replacement of seed and time!

    I’ve had to have them out multiple times after mosquito treatment because they didn’t do 1/2 the area. Then they argued with me about the area. I reminded them their service team was made full and clear of the size and sqft. I suggested they come look at it prior to “Not a problem Mr. **, we’re good”….. yet this issue happen regularly. I was sold in February on trees and shrubs. We planted over $7000 of bushes and shrubs. Within 30 days of their recommended “oil treatment” they started dying. Almost every bush is dead and all $125 arborvitae shrub is dead. Their office told me they’d tell are NOT supposed to treat those shrubs. The nursery told me it would hurt them. Their service guy was new. Go figure. He told me he didn’t know. They sent their lead of “more than 40 yrs” to look at everything. It’s not our fault! Bad plants. Go see the nursery. Hard winter. And everyone within Trugreen that said not to treat these plants is wrong. He’s right.

    We’ve tried to build our dream home and decorate our landscape. We spent so much money. Now everything’s dead and they say it’s the nursery. Some plants have been in for over 1 1/2yrs. The nursery says the same as their 800 number office. Not to spray these plants. He said…. She said…. And I’m left to pay and repair again. My advice, go to a local nursery. Trust them. But a push spreader. Treat your yard yourself. Save hundreds of dollars on treatment and thousands of dollars in replacement cost for what they will most certainly destroy.

    If I could give them zero stars I would. How they treated my yard made the grass worse than when I did it myself at a higher cost. They displaced some of the rock edging in my gardens with their hoses and do not replace the rocks. Their customer service is terrible. I recommend that you go with a local company who isn't Trugreen.

    I was a customer for 3 years. TruGreen, through gross incompetence, killed my lawn twice. Their technicians rush and mix chemicals incorrectly. Even though they made accommodations to remedy the issue(s), inevitably, they fail again and again. Then they tried to take me to collections when I refused to pay for service that was unsatisfactory (weeds, moss, and burnt patches). Please reconsider.

    Wow they auto transferred me from Orkin to TruGreen. And changed my plan. I got Orkin for pest control, they switch me over to lawn service. I pay somebody else $100 to do my lawn. I need buds and stuff out of my my yard. They suck. I didn’t just wasted a year worth of money on some bull. Crap. They suck. I just canceled them and I would not recommend them anybody. They trying to get me to pay $300 for service when I I’ve been paying them a year for what I thought was bug removal. Suck man never never get them again ever!!!

    My lawn looks awful! There are more Weeds now than before Trugreen started. I am not satisfied with my lawn at all. I live in a subdivision & my neighbors didn't use Trugreen. You can tell the difference. Terrible job done by Trugreen.

    Updated on 04/14/2025: This is the 5th week that I wait for my refund. They don't mind taking your money but they have a hard time giving on refunds. Each and every MONDAY I will leave a bad review, not only for doing a poor job with the lawn, but can't seem to find being a good company AND GIVE ME MY REFUND.

    Original Review: I just moved into my new house with a new lawn for the past 10 months. I was approached by TruGreen at my home and thought he could help revitalize it. IT'S grass, it doesn't require a "gold" bar approach, just fertilizer. After a few months it was turning brown. I tried to get my money back, FAT CHANCE! I had paid ahead, not a good idea. They gave me a figure of $500. and said 2 to 3 weeks coming?? Almost at near the end I get a call asking me for another chance and to fix it. NO WAY! The refund I received was much less???? NEVER AGAIN!

    TruGreen was not worth the money or the headache. They didn't do a very thorough job and the guy would only spend a minute or two, walking the yard and leaving unless my husband or I followed them around. I complained and cancelled my account last year during the season but here I am in April of this year, finding out someone just serviced my yard and they want to charge me $75. I called them again to cancel and they would not take NO for an answer. They pestered me for 15 minutes while I'm at work, trying to convince me to stick around. This is what people hate about customer service and subscriptions. I hate feeling like my words and choices aren't respected. I would never recommend them to anyone.

    One Star, because there is no zero stars. To be clear, I have no issue with the local people, who take customer service seriously. But, there is no way to find out how to contact them via the website...everything goes to the national call center...and they lie! What they told me was that there is no local presence other than technicians and that there was no way to contact them. So I hopped in the car and drove to the local facility. The locals were more than happy to provide me the answers and services I was looking for. Shame on you at the call center, or corporate, or whoever is responsible for this behavior. If my kids lie, there are consequences and there should be here as well

    Tru Green absolutely destroyed the lawn in the back of my home. I contacted several local reps and emailed customer service. No effort was given to resolve. I did have a rep laugh at me over the phone, as I explained the problem. I guess that’s counts for something. I don’t know what makes me madder; seeing the Tru Green commercials on TV or looking at my lawn.

    The service and customer service at this company is horrible! I received a message that they applied the first application on 3/20/25, but I was traveling. I returned that evening and there were no flags on the property or notes on the door confirming the work was done. What has followed is unbelievable. 3/22 (~30 minutes on the phone) Called and spoke with customer service, and they agreed it was likely the application was applied to my neighbor's lawn. Scheduled service for the week of 3/24. 3/29 (~1 hour on the phone) No one came that week and called customer service. Rep said no one had put in a request to come that week. Scheduled a follow-up visit for today (4/1 April Fools).

    4/1 (~2 hours on the phone) the specialist shows up and makes a decision not to apply the application. We called customer service and given the runaround, with many excuses. My wife calls and speaks to a rep and seemingly gets the matter addressed with someone scheduled for this Friday. I receive a follow up call from their management to make sure they address our concerns. The manager (Justin) goes on to say that no one scheduled us (second time) for Friday and the best they can do is the following Monday. Buyer beware! This is a company that can't perform the work they are contracted and paid to do, and their customer service is horrible!

    I just cancelled my subscription for the 3rd time. You have to really piss me off to get a 1-star review. I have called 3 different times since late last year, requesting my service be cancelled. When they ask why, I share that I was laid off, which is true. But each time they didn't cancel my subscription like they said they did. I am pretty sure that's illegal. Like clockwork, I would get a notification that they were coming out to my home to perform the service.

    At this point, everyone in TruGreen should be aware of my unemployed status, and I told this latest rep to tell everyone in her company just in case anyone there still didn't know. The first guy even tried to talk me into staying on after learning of my circumstances, saying God will find a way. Turns out this tone deaf employee decided for me that I should still be a paying customer. The 3rd rep confirmed that my subscription was still active. Let's see if I have to call a FOURTH time to cancel.

    If this isn’t the most unprofessional company I’ve ever dealt with, they Definitely have 2nd place tied up! Also let me state that I have proof of most all this if anyone would like to see it, Even the Catholic churches soil sample.. lol… Read on for that! Hired them in February 2024 to service my lawn to include all fertilization needs and control lawn pests. After several months of treatments, large areas in the lawn appeared to be dying. I reached out the them concerned and requested someone come out to take a look and get the problem under control. I get a call from Matt ** ensuring me that he is a turf specialist and will come take a look. Later that same day I get a text from him requesting pictures of the lawn so that he would have an idea of what he might be up against.

    Next day or two he came out and agreed that it was something that they were doing which was causing these large areas of my lawn to die. He verbally stated that they would treat my lawn for free until the problem was resolved and my lawn was back the way it was prior to these dead spots and from that point forward we would be back at them providing service and me paying for those services again. The free treatments started about August or so of last year so we weren’t far the Bermuda grass going dormant. They came and treated a few times that were free of charge and then there were a couple that I got charged for.

    After noticing the charges I would call to remind them that these were temporarily free until my lawn was fixed and they would read the notes on my account and agree that I should be refunded and I was. The last time they treated my lawn was this past January 2025. I was charged and I again called and requested a refund along with a request that I get a call from the branch Manager whom at that time was Michael **. The next day I got a call from their customer service stating that they had gotten the request for the branch manager to call me and that he would be calling me the next day. Did not get a call from Michael the next day, but did receive a call from their customer service department stating the same thing as the day before, that they had gotten the request from me to have the branch manager to call me and that he would be reaching out to me the next day.

    I was then asked what were my concerns and I stated that I was past ready to get a resolution to all this. Then I was told that my account had been terminated and that it would never be reinstated. I asked why and they told me that I had called it to cancel the account. I told them that absolutely did not happen and the guy argued with me about it. I again requested a call from Michael **. Next day I get a call form their customer service again just for them to tell me my account was closed and would never be reinstated and that the branch manager had sent me an email stating so. I told them I never got an email and they said well, it was sent. I asked them to show me proof of the email and they said they couldn’t.

    I again asked for a call from the branch manager. Once again, next day I get a call from their customer service stating the same ole think about my account being closed and that Michael ** had sent me a registered letter stating so, which I never got. I again asked for proof knowing that those have to be signed for and again was told they could provide proof. Finally got a call form a gentleman named Faheem (may not be the correct spelling), he told me that he was in the sales department at the Round Rock branch and he would speak to Matt and Michael and get back to me about was they were going to do.

    Matt ** had once before tried blaming the dead spots on the cottontail rabbits that live out in this area. I will agree that there are an abundance of cottontail rabbits in this area and there has been for a long time, so that’s nothing new. I told Faheem that it was without doubt not the fault of the rabbits as they have been in this area and in abundance for many years. And in fact that Trugreen was servicing this residence prior to us buying and moving into this house in Sept of 2018 and this lawn was beautiful when we got here and that same rabbit population was a problem then as well.

    Three days ago Monday March 24, 2025 I called Faheem, Matt ** and Michael ** on their cell phones .Was able to leave a voicemail on Faheem's and Matt **'s phones for them to please return my call. Michael **'s phone stated that his voicemail had not been set up yet. I then immediately then sent an email to Michael ** asking his to call me and that I had left voicemails for Matt and Faheem to do the same. That email was sent around 3:30pm central time on Monday stating that they had 24 hours to respond before I was taking my next steps, one of which was filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's office. As of this writing it's been around 71 hours or so with no response either phone from any of the 3 or an email.

    Almost forgot. During one of those conversations with one of their customer service people, they told me that they don’t do soil samples. That afternoon I was at home in the backyard when my girlfriend called and ask if I was at home because there was a Fedex delivery guy standing on our front porch. I was able to get out there and catch him. He stated that he had a package for me that had to be signed for. I signed, got the package and took it inside and opened it and low and behold it was a soil sample that had been taken at a Catholic church in Austin and instead of it be sent to the place to be analyzed, it was sent to me. It has just been one lie after another!

    I don't mind being contacted by TruGreen 1x or 2x in total, but to be called 3x to 5x/day after I've spoken in person to a consultant is ridiculous. Especially after we've spoken and have come to a conclusion of No. This is getting to be too invasive. We were initially going to use TruGreen later on, but after the invasive calls. We feel that it's on our best interest to not use TruGreen.

    I used the TruGreen Lawn service for a couple of years. I have been trying almost a year for them to rectify an issue. They say they will call you back, what a joke. I had them come out and spray our yard on 6/10/2024. Ten days later a beautiful maple tree that was green and vibrant died. I called them, asked them to come out and look at it. They sent a technician and he agreed it looked pretty dead to him. He said, however that maybe it would come back in the Spring.

    Months went by and the tree bark started peeling off and of course the branches snapped off. I tried once again to reach out to them as the other trees were budding out to tell them the situation and asked them to replace the tree. They again promised the general manager Jeff would call us the very next day. Another month later…. nothing. Since that time we have had to cut the tree down, which had zero life to it. I caution anyone in the Danville, KY area to avoid using them. This nice beautiful tree was a statement in our front yard. Many neighbors drove by and asked us what happened to it. I was more than happy to share my unresolved experience. Shame on you TruGreen for my horrible experience!

    I spoke with Josh, he called me to give me a quote over the phone which is not what I expect. During our conversation I point out how satisfy I was with a company at my previous house, they came to my property and look at my grass and point what kind of weed we had and how they will killed, and he came with the brilliant idea to tell me that they just pretend and everyone does the same treatment for every single lawn and told me that he thought that I'm smarter than that, hahaha (he called me dumb hahaha). What kind of people this company hired to talk to potential clients? They should be trained better to make sure they can get at least few more customers, I have no doubts that this company can do a good job, but after this short conversation over the phone with Josh I decided to turn around and look for a more friendly company to work with.

    I'm not at all happy with the results from TruGreen. I paid for a year of service, and each time they come out, they are usually here for no more than 15 minutes. I have over half an acre of lawn. It can take me up to 5 hours to mow it with my walk behind gas or electric mowers. They claim to have aerated the entire lawn in less than 30 minutes, which is physically impossible. Also, the areas that are most in need of restoration haven't improved at all. They said it was too mossy. I thought I hired them to treat the lawn for non-turf species and overseed it, but they told me I had to remove the moss or their treatments wouldn't be effective. This was a very poor use of money.

    I have had TruGreen taking care of my Saint Augustine lawn and shrubs for the entire time we have lived in this Chesapeake home, twenty five years. It is magnificent and draws walks to stop and admire it. The grass is perfection, thick, green (except in winter, remember I have warm weather grass) and completely without weeds. My yard is filled with mature camellias, azaleas, dogwoods and Japanese Maples. The size and blooms are beautiful. I can not say enough about the men that have over the years cared for this yard. Today Cameron P stopped by to put down pre emergent and asked if there were concerns….nope, this is such a great young man. He reminded me he will see me in a month to fertilize. I am so excited for warm weather and the anticipation of Spring and Summer yard!

    For two months I tried to get them to come out and spray for weeds and they came out and did nothing according to their "service Summary". After multiple phone calls to resolve, they hung up on me, provided false contact names and I tried to cancel my service for lack of service and after 3 attempts, they have not canceled.

    This company's tech treated our yard instead of our neighbor's yard. I called twice last week, trying to find out what was applied to our grass. I was trying to avoid burning it up with too many chemicals or letting my cats eat grass with pesticides. Twice I was told someone would get back to me. That never happened. I finally found out from the neighbor who had paid for the service that it was fertilizer, although the tech put down a pesticide sign. They never disclosed to our neighbor that they didn't receive the service. Had I not watched the videos, I would not have known. BTW, he missed large areas, so now we have to watch the videos to determine where to apply fertilizer and where to avoid application. This company had zero concern for either one of us. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for service.

    In 2022/23 I used Trugreen and cancelled because they text stating they serviced the yard. Not!! We have 3 cameras around the house and they never picked anyone up. Also, I work from home and never saw anyone!! 2024/25 They told me they cleaned house and were doing better. With strong promises that it would be better and they would get rid of our weeds. Stupid me believe them and let them service the yard again. March 14 2025 our contract ends. See pictures of my yard!! It is worse now than before they came. The funny part is a Trugreen rep came by 3 weeks ago asking if they could service our yard due to the weeds. My husband told them they have been serving it for the last year! 😳😳😳 I also called multiple times between services because I could still see weeds.

Last time was February 1st and was promised a call back within 24 hours. Prior to that date they promised to meet with me to discuss damage to lawn.     They will come to treat your lawn. I check my cameras and they will skip entire sections of the lawn. The employees are EXTREMELY lazy. I decided to cancel 9/24. I received a text message 1/25 that service will be conducted next week. I called customer service to remind them I canceled last year. They told me no evidence of cancelation! I spend 20 minutes on phone with customer rep who assured me it will now be canceled. He refused to give confirmation number, saying it will be emailed. Today, 2/4/25, I received text saying service is scheduled for tomorrow. I called customer service again. The representative saw notes from last call but cancelation was not done. This woman apologized and canceled, providing a confirmation number and her name. This company lies, deceives to keep your business. After all this, the representative still gave this big speech about how can we change your mind? UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Sat in his truck for 10 minutes, never got out of the truck, I watched him every minute, sent me an invoice he performed the lawn service with a invoice. He ought to be FIRED. How many others did he screw today? I want my charges today canceled. Trugreen hires some real slick reps.

    I have been a TruGreen customer for two years. Supervisors have observed my lawn that has turned from a beautiful yard to lawn a disaster full of bare spots, weeds and replaced a small patch of grass which came with chinch bugs or quickly was taken over by chinch bugs. My complaints are basically answered by “you water too much, you don’t enough”. Trugreen claims no responsibility. I am looking for a new service.

    Horrible....Hired them for a year. I started getting charged after 9 months again after paying for a whole year. They argued they only have 9 months as their annual contracts. So when we become a society of crooks changing the meaning of words...to suite yourselves that's a red flag. I avoid companies like Panera that when you order a whole sandwich they give you a half a sandwhich, or Starbucks when you order a tall they give you a small. How deceitful do companies have to be to trick customers. An annual price is 12 months in most business, not 9 months TRUGREEN. Which is not FALSE-GREEN

    I cancelled Trugreen in September, on 12/27 they charged my account $82.21 fraudulently. I cancelled this program due to the carcinogens in the products being used that were not brought to my attention, and blatantly covered up. Research Trugreen lawsuit and you will see that this is a major issue. Customer service was of no help and refuses to refund my money.

    I have been with Trugreen for years, and I thought their service was not bad. However, in the last year, they would just send people out to do services that was not requested and charged me for it. In addition, as far as weeding they would only do the grass area of the backyard and not the adjoining walkway that also grew weeds. So I found a company that would do both and charge less. So I contacted Trugreen to cancel my service. However, within a month period, they had sent workers to do other services to my property. When I told them that I had cancelled my service, I was told that I cancelled my lawn care but not tree and shrub care, as well as one of the other services. So I finally paid for one over the phone, and was told that I'm good and do not owe anything. However, they sent the remaining payment of $35 to debt collector. Will never do services with them again.

    I hired this company expecting better-looking green grass and help with eliminating weeds. Their first service was on September 13. However, since August, my grass has barely been green, and the weeds are now completely out of control. The worst part happened when I complained about the weeds. A technician came to my house, sprayed a product with a hose starting from the right side of the property, and ended up killing my cypresses. These plants went from green and beautiful to brown and damaged.

    When the manager came to inspect the damage, he had the audacity to claim that the cypresses had developed a fungal disease, which supposedly caused their rapid decline. However, footage from my security cameras clearly shows the damage occurred right after the technician sprayed the product. This company is untrustworthy, their service is terrible, and their arrogance in handling complaints only adds insult to injury. I now have a serious problem that I didn’t have before hiring them. Please do not trust this company!

    My lawn had treatment for 8 years. I felt the need to switch companies and hope for an even better lawn. My lawn is large and my pride and joy. It is Florida St Augustine. I had nothing but trouble communicating with TruGreen. First service burnt an area. I paid a fortune separately for aeration and potassium. After 6-7 months my grass was full of sedge and crabgrass. Ok, let's resove it. After calls and reservice I ended up removing 2 bags of weeds and relaying sod and plugs. I'm still patching. The Last straw was the emails indicating technician nearby, but then not.

    When the technician did arrive he would not acknowledge that I was waiting outside vehicle to show him the problem. I had to leave. Meanwhile, the service report was a carbon copy of the prior month when it shouldn't have been the same. And, the reports all say that they knocked on my door and didn't answer. That was the insult. I called and cancelled. All reps on the phone nice but all talk and no action. I should be refunded but there is never anyone to talk to. I tried to access local customer service but the phone # rings through to national. Extremely time consuming.

    Never showed up on time. Paid for a series of applications of fertilizer, bug control, and weed control. The dollar weed is worse than it was before they started treatments. The grass has not improved. So allowing TruGreen to treat my yard was a total waste of money.

    I have used TruGreen for years but believe the quality has definitely gone downhill. I don’t recommend allowing them to “overseed” your yard. I have more grass growing in my gardens and ground cover than in the yard. I’ve watched the employees rush through the treatments and even miss entire areas.

    Please if you use Tru Green of Texarkana please check your cameras to ensure they are actually coming out and doing the work! They try to send you GPS of their work. Pull up Google Earth and check your lawn comparing it to the gps they send you!!!

    Have used TruGreen for several years and my yard is in the worst shape than when I started using them. Have had problems for 2 years, started with chinch bugs that took them over a year to realize what was causing the grass to die, finally got upper management to come out and find the problem. Weeds have been a problem in the front yard where the grass died from chinch bugs and they made no headway getting rid of them. Account manager came out and said they would come out and respray for free, but I received a bill. He would not answer the phone or return my calls. Last service they only treated 1/3 of the front yard, I call and they sent a true knucklehead out that ask which weeds were a problem, they were told ALL of them. He resprayed for weeds but did not have the other chemicals that should have been in the spray in order to complete the previous service.

    Now they are threatening to take legal action to collect $113.15 bill that they said they would cut in half. I have answered the phone every time they have call me. The guy that cuts my yard said he could take care of the weeds, he sprayed one time. Several days later you could tell the weeds were dying and in no time they were all gone. Do not use TruGreen.Their so called service techs have no idea what they are doing, And you can tell from their ill fitting uniforms they were not order for them but handed down from the last tech that left.

    I have been a customer of Lawn Service for almost 10 years. This summer, August 2024, I got a call from one of their reps, telling me my bushes have a disease that looks like a spider web. He told me I could purchase a separate contract for bushes and trees where I get 4 services in the year. I told him I noticed my roses had that issue, and he assured me that with this service, they would be treated. He also told me if I did not treat those bushes, the disease would spread to the lawn.

    They applied their treatment once, but I was not home then. 2 months later, there were no more applications. I called their office and asked them when they sprayed my bushes again. They said since I got the service late in the year in August, that the rest of the 3 services will be done in 2024, contrary to what their rep told me. I told them I still have the same issue with my roses and asked them to come back again for a 2nd spray. This time I was home, and I asked their rep to spray the roses. He said we do not treat roses! He also refused to spray my evergreens in the back saying they don't spray them in the fall, but I could see that they started to turn brown, something I never saw before.

    I am very disappointed with this company. Last week I called them and said I needed to speak to a manager about a complaint. One week later, they still have not called back. They don't care about their reputation and do not want my business anymore. I am not going to use them next year for sure anymore. They lost me as a customer because their sales reps are like used car salesmen, they will lie to sell their product, and their customer service is a joke. Such a shame!

    The service is fine and the laborers always seem to be courteous, respectful of property and do a good job. Lately, however, the customer service is awful. They've obviously outsourced their call center recently and I could barely understand the person who I was talking to who had a strong, robotic, accent and talked way, way too much when asked simple yes or no questions. He (or she?) then got upset with me when I stated, "just answer the question, yes or no". What happened was, although I pays for an entire year of lawn service, they raised the price a month or two after I made my yearly payment which then resulted in them billing me, even though my yearly payment wasn't due again for two months.

    I do NOT recommend. We paid for the whole year, it’s been more than 7 months and we have see no difference. Their excuse was it’s because this summer was way too hot. Grass was being watered as recommended by TruGreen and nothing. When they would come out it was always less than 10 min. Do not use them.

    This company does not do grub treatment in Florida. Please be aware that there are regional laws that dictate what treatments lawn companies cannot do. If you have grub damage to your grass this it MAY NOT BE WORTH IT to hire a lawn company like TruGreen. The 530 dollars will probably not be worth it.

    The company serviced us, they killed our lawn, and when we called they stated they’d take care of it but wanted $850. One time they put flags up as if they treated the lawn but never did, we were home at the time. We are in our mid 70s and had to rake up their dead mess and reseed it ourselves. They also told us the manager would come & he never did. No show. Never called back. Too many hands in the pot & no one knows what they’re doing. The company is too large with poor customer service, failure to match their promises, and I would not recommend them. Find a smaller business with more attention & loyalty to their valued customers. -Ken & Pat **

    I can’t believe I didn’t check reviews before starting this service. We have 6K sq ft of lawn. Customer service said it takes about 1 min per 1K sq ft. The first service took 1 min, he never went to the side or back yard, and sat in his truck for 6-7 min and left. The second service took 1 min, no back yard, in the truck for 6-7 min and left. I called to get an explanation of services completed, assumed I could be missing something, and asked for answers right away or I would cancel. They did not provide answers, but texted me 4 more times asking for feedback, so I cancelled. I spent almost $140 for 2 min of service on just my front yard. Based on their response to my concerns I can conclude it is either a scam or a failure in customer service. The evidence leads me to think is a scam.

    I have had Trugreen lawn service for several years. This is ridiculous. They were to treat both front and back. The last 2 years of service have been absolutely horrible and to get a straight answer out of them is like pulling teeth! When I pay for weed service I expect weeds to be gone! But supposedly after 3 full and spot treatments I have more weeds than neighbors who don't even treat lawns! I have called and called and was told I would not be charged 70$ then they send bill and expect payment and then have the nerve to say, "Have you been watering???" Take your service and your payment and shove it!!!! I will never recommend your services to anyone!

    I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with TruGreen has compelled me to share my frustrations. Firstly, despite their promises, the treatments did not improve my lawn. Instead, the services mostly resulted in killing my grass, while the weeds continued to thrive. The lack of effective service left me disappointed. During my interactions, the representatives acknowledged their shortcomings, displaced blame and apologized for not adequately addressing my lawn's needs in the timely manner. However, instead of resolving the issue, they insisted on upselling me double the service. What led to this bad review, and the final straw was the customer service provided by their call center, which is abysmal. I contacted them to cancel my services and end my contract, yet I still received a bill for a service a few days after I tried to cancel services.

    To make matters worse, when I called back, when I tried to resolve the bill for the very service I had requested to cancel in the first place, I was met with rudeness. When I inquired about the cancellation, the representative claimed there was no record of my request and no previous call documented. After further insistence, I finally received a cancellation confirmation number this time to make sure my services are truly cancelled. However, after she cancelled me, she stated now that I am no longer a customer, there was nothing she can do to assist me any further and was rude through the whole interaction and seemed to get pleasure in my annoyance. Overall, my experience has been frustrating and unprofessional from start to finish. I cannot recommend TruGreen based on my current situation.

    Absolutely terrible. Just stopped showing up. Despite calling 4-5 times per week to sell me more services. Signed up for a one time pest control service and they of course turned it into a monthly service. All they care about is selling you more services and not about the condition of your lawn.     DO NOT USE TRUGREEN. The tech left digital notes indicating that he left messages for me at my home regarding my yard, however, he didn't. My yard has more weeds in it than when they started. The previous owner, Alan, told me to contact Chris **. The problem is that no one answers the direct lines to the local franchise so it all goes to the service center and they don't know Chris **. This is a terrible company. I was told that Chris would call me in 48 hours, but it hasn't happened. I will be canceling my service and writing a bad review wherever I can.

    I have been customer of TruGreen for several years. If all you want is a guy running around your lawn spraying for 5 minutes without even looking at the lawn, this is the company for you. I had a massive grub and cinch bug problem that started 6 weeks ago. Two treatments since for unrelated issues and three service people came out and all they did was try to upsell me. It's fungus, poor drainage, etc. They never even touched the lawn. Dug some small hole this week and hundreds of grubs and insects scattered about. Sent them photos. Offered me a free treatment two weeks ago and they still have not shown up. Good luck trying to cancel. More upselling and fees. Honestly, I write very few reviews. Anyone else would be better than this. Cost me $1,500 and entire lawn need to be tilled not just aerated, it's that bad. Had they diagnosed this on a timely basis, this could have all been avoided. Please Stay clear!!

    Unhappy overall with the annual service. We had a service plan laid out for the year, which they didn't follow. The $415 aeration was scheduled for October 2024, and they decided to do it in the month of August. I left my account representative Isaiah a voice mail to call me back to talk about my service, and of course, he never called me back.

    Overall, my yard still has a lot of weeds and crabgrass remaining. I called to let them know, and they said they would come and reapply the treatment at no charge. That was a lie. Both times, they came out to reapply the treatment, and they charged me for the reapplication treatments. I added screenshots of the TruGreen representative stating I would not be charged to reapply the treatment, but yet I was. Save your money and find a trustworthy company.

    I have been completely disappointed with TruGreen’s lawn care services. For one thing, I don’t find them to be trustworthy. My first interaction with a sales representative was informative. As a result, I signed up. My experience has been downhill since. The service technician on the first visit got out of his truck, stuck a ‘I serviced your yard’ sign in the front yard and left…. He did nothing. I reported it. I should have canceled right then. But, I didn’t. Since I began with them almost 2 months ago there’s been an overgrowth of weeds in the yard and the grass has not gotten greener. Vines were taking over my shrubs. I don’t believe I’m getting the lawn care or the shrub care I signed up for. I’m DONE!!

    I have dealt with lawn maintenance companies for many years, but TruGreen in Wilkes-Barre, PA, is not reputable in my opinion. I agreed to an aeration service with them and when I tried to contact them with questions I had afterwards, I was unable to speak with the person who charged my credit card for the service after 3 phone call attempts. I finally got to speak to an "agent" for TruGreen and realized the local company was using an answering service. I found out that the only way I "might" be able to speak to the "owner" was to drive down to the Wilkes-Barre store 40 minutes from my home! I don't recommend this company at all.

    10/14/2023 I signed up with TruGreen over the phone, paid over the phone, for a monthly lawn care to make my lawn thicker and greener. The payment was $538.86 annually. July 2024 I received a bill from TruGreen for $59.24 for potash treatment. I called TruGreen questioning the bill. They told me that I had a one year agreement for TruGreen but I had to pay monthly for treatments. TruGreen did not ask me if I wanted those treatments. They did it and sent me the bill. Also I reviewed my outdoor cameras and did not see their worker servicing my lawn. I told them that and they said he went to the wrong address so they sent him again. This time on camera he used his spreader on the front lawn but in the backyard he only posted a TruGreen sign. Again, I have renamed Tru-Green “LieGreen” and “CheatGreen” because they Lie and cheat their customers.

    If I could give zero stars that is what this service is... WORTHLESS! From the initial quote 02/19/2024 thru to the last lawn treatment 08/21/2024, TruGreen was the absolute worst. Every treatment the technician had to be reminded to actually treat the small section of grass in back yard & side tree lawn. For the record, I prepaid for all services. Every time they promised to make a notation to make sure that the back yard & side yard tree lawn would be treated and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME they failed to treat the areas unless I reminded them to. When I was not home during the treatment time they FAILED to treat the back & side yard lawn.

    The last time the technician stated that his supervisor told him specifically "only treat the front yard & front tree lawn, do not treat the back yard or side tree lawn." When the customer service rep calls, they thank you for your feedback and do absolutely NOTHING to help or correct their failure to provide services that you pay for. DO NOT TRUST TruGreen to do what you pay for or to do what they say they will do, HORRIBLE SERVICE!

    Trugreen applied a chemical that severely burned our lawn. When I called them, they would not send out a supervisor. They do not want to deal with it and they have denied responsibility for their work. It appears that we will have to reseed or resod our entire lawn. The photos show a portion of the damage that they did to our lawn.

    I hired Trugreen because my new lawn was having an issue in one small location. I prepaid for 10 treatments 2 my lawn. During the treatments, twice on separate occasions I was told that the tech came and treated my home and not signing the sign they leave on the grass I reviewed my camera footage and neither time from morning to evening did one tech step in my yard so I called the office and had to have another visit within the next couple days. Meanwhile as the months go by keep seeing the initial issue I hired them for and had address with previous technicians get larger and larger. One technician said I’m watering too much to cut back. The next tech said I’m not watering enough. Meanwhile as of last week half of my new lawn is completely dead.

    I had two treatments left and called to cancel and at least receive some type of small return for those treatments and instead I was offered that a manager can come out (never never received received this offer after several calls to complain about the issue). And I also never received my refund for the last two because The customer service agent says that I had my 10 prepaid but the next two that I had scheduled apparently we’re supposed to be out of pocket which that’s not what I signed up for so suddenly I’m paying out-of-pocket for those but meanwhile, I paid for 10 and I received 8 and they just said, "Sorry and thank you for Choosing trugreen." Now I have to resod half My yard then nothing from trugreen for allowing my yard to die and telling me, "Treatments take time. Just wait." This company is the worse. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!     We have had issues with TruGreen Lawn Service since the day we signed up for service. I don't know if the individuals we are dealing with don't want to work or what it is, but we have to call every time they come to our property. They "finish" their service, whether it be weeds, etc. within 3-8 minutes, start to finish, at our property. We have a pretty large lawn and that seems too quick to me. We have called numerous times and have not ever received a call from a higher up, we only speak with customer service, and they say they are putting notes on our account. We have had the aeration service cancelled twice, once due to faulty equipment, the kid was going back to the shop to get another aeration machine and would be back, he never came back.

    2nd time he showed up, same individual, and put a marker on our lawn showing the service was complete, then sent an email that he didn't finish the aeration due to a pet in the yard! We don't have a pet that goes outdoors!!! And today, service was scheduled, my husband stayed home all day and NO ONE SHOWED UP FROM TRUGREEN!!! No call, no email, no nothing! Customer service once again said they'll put notes on our account. EXTREMELY disappointed, dissatisfied customer. I would not recommend TruGreen to my worst enemy. We work very hard for every penny we make, and we were trying to get our lawn repaired. We heard good things from a neighbor and his lawn is beautiful. We paid a lot of money for horrible service.

    The lawn and Tree & Shrub services were not good at all. After 3 months with them the lawn is terrible, it is in the worst condition since we bought the house 10 years ago. We tried to let them know about it and they didn't respond until I said I will cancel the service then the first response was to discount the price, which is not what I needed - I needed my lawn in good condition. Second the Tree & Shrub service was to come and say that we need to cut the trees that were in bad condition - no really a solution. Finally the mosquito service is the only one that worked partially after many applications.

    My elderly Mother prepaid for service. No one has showed despite phone calls telling her they would be here. Customer service is non existent. I have tried by phone and holding, asking for a call back by phone, emailed requesting an email back. It is useless. You cannot talk to a person. AND when they have come in the past, they do a very sloppy job. The "techs" that come cannot answer even the most simple question. If you can... Run fast the other way.

    Signed up with TruGreen last spring. At first my lawn started to improve. My soil is sandy, so was expecting no miracles but an injury prevented me from doing my own lawn care this year so decided to get help. After two "shrub/tree" treatments the few shrubs I have are now dying rapidly and my lilac leaves have curled up and have fallen off. Am very worried about my other large trees as the leaves are looking questionable. It is too early for them to start to fall. Cancelled the remainder of my plan due to damage. Trying to get someone from TruGreen to come to my yard to see the damage but no response. Someone called me back and left a message and phone number knowing that it was impossible to return call.

    Tru Green came out 3 time to treat my lawn for Nutsedge. It's really hard to get rid of. They tried but no luck. That's why I hired them and told Tru Green that why I hired them. I called TG customer service to cancel. Their representative kept me on the phone for 20 minutes saying he couldn’t cancel my service until he read me his reasons I should kept my service. He said he would lose his job and couldn’t cancel my service until he read me why I should kept their service. Terrible, and they record the calls so fire your rep and stop the harassment when someone wants to cancel their tru green service. I had tru green at my house in Michigan. I caught their tech only treating half my backyard.

    Horrible lawn care service. They come every month as expected (that’s a plus). However, the results they produce are garbage! I’ve attached photos of my yard, after they've been “caring” for it for 5+ years. Bare spots everywhere, weeds everywhere. And they have the nerve to come to the door wanting to care for my shrubs! You can’t take care of a lawn, and you want me to give you more money for the shrubs???? Are you kidding me? Don’t use them.

    My lawn was overtreated and burned up. I have a sprinkler system set to go on 4 days a week and the lawn is 90% dead. No hope of restoration without thatching and reseeding. Trying to get contact with the local manager and haven't heard back for 3 days. The problem needs to be addressed within the week and I am losing hope that the company will stand behind its 100% satisfaction guarantee.

    Questionable if some services were even completed, when we did see a 'tech' they couldn't answer simple questions about what they were doing, offering products over the phone for things that we don't have (called to say the 'tech' recommends ground mite and grub treatment because they noticed damage on our trees...spoiler alert, we don't have trees), aerated our lawn and took out our cable line, non-user friendly app for getting any answers, and brutal customer service when calling. Canceling the service was a 30-minute ordeal... They kept asking if we would finish the year for a 10% discount, then 20%... It was like an auctioneer. Oh ya, and months after starting the weeds are still present. And let's talk about the service reports...I received one in August which was a clear copy/paste talking about 'your spring lawn is still greening up...". Come on...

    Can I give a ZERO star rating. Agreed to their service August 12 (San Antonio Office handles my area). They finally did service today, August 21, but it was the wrong service even though I confirmed with them 5x that I wanted grub/chinch bug service done first. After 5 phone calls, lots of wait time, 3 different "Customer Service" representatives who each claimed they had to speak with a supervisor... I never got a clear answer when they would provide the service they agreed to, and the promised "supervisor will call" telephone call never occurred.

    Finally, I requested cancellation and the representative kept trying to tell me that they could provide the service - but this was only after I said, "Cancel". She refused to honor my cancellation until I finally had to say "Cancel" 20x and also state, "I never want to do any service in the future with TruGreen". Finally, she got it. Actually that customer service representative was really good - but she can only do what the TruGreen script allows - and that is terrible, absolutely terrible. Finally I got a cancellation number and promise of refund. Now, I'll just have to see how hard that will be to actually receive the refund. Awful. Awful. Awful!!!

    I'm extremely dissatisfied with the services provided. We have a tree and shrub service package, and this morning, one of their technicians came out to treat our trees. He clearly wasn't expecting anyone to be home. He rang the doorbell at 8:08 AM and was finished by 8:12 AM. We have many trees in our backyard that he never treated, which we know because we have cameras around our house. This isn’t the first time they've failed to provide the services we pay for. Be aware and keep an eye on them, as they don’t deliver on their promises. Yet, they are always quick to send a bill for services that were never completed.

    This is my second year with TruGreen. My lawn has never looked worse. I cancelled the service last year at the end of the summer because weeds and fungus took over my yard. I decided to try one more year, but unfortunately with the same results. I’ve gone over two months with no fertilizer application and only got weed and insect control reapplied because I called. I requested a supervisor to come out which did not happen. A technician did come out and applied fertilizer a week control 3 weeks later. He told me the more I complain the better the service. I did not hire TruGreen for me to manage. That’s what I paid them to do. I will not contract services with them again. Talking to the local company is impossible and they send the innocent technician out to deal with the complaints. Customer service stinks!

    Worst company ever. I am so disappointed with them. When I signed up this year I explained and even sent photos of where I have peppermint growing that I use regularly. They verified with me that that area would not be sprayed with the tick control. First, I was suppose to be notified via phone call the day before and text the day of and that never happened.

    After two prior treatments I hear a leaf blower in my yard and go look out the window and I see the gentleman spraying my peppermint plants directly. I go out and told him he was not suppose to spray that area and only got a "Sorry, Sorry" as I do not believe he spoke much English. He then proceeded to spray the rest of the yard and I have a raised garden on my back porch and he proceeds to spray underneath the garden. That chemical is not suppose to be sprayed within so many feet of any fruits and vegetables. These are things that I have been consuming that should never have been sprayed. Next, I called Trugreen to complain and cancel my service and they tried to keep me as a client and I said "no." They offered to pay the price of the peppermint I had to cut down.

    My concern is the consumption of peppermint that was sprayed. I was told I would not be charged and I was. Just called up and the woman said she would not reimburse the payment as I cancelled the service. I cancelled the service because there is a lack of communication in the company and a lack of knowledge of what should be sprayed and what shouldn't. I will not even get into how my lawn has become overgrown with crabgrass. Never again will they go near my lawn.

    TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE! I pre-paid back in January for the season. My lawn had looked great for years, but once I started with TruGreen, it went downhill! It now looks disgusting. I was told, when I signed up they would come out and test my soil and look at my lawn and go from there. That never happened. They kept telling me a supervisor would call and come out. That also never happened. I called and got a scheduled appointment and they were coming between 1pm-6pm. Was getting text messages from them to track his status.     I really hate doing this. I hate reading bad reviews, I hate the feedback that comes back from them, but my God have I been tested this morning. After spending hundreds of dollars with TruGreen on their regular scheduled offerings, we have spent more on extra treatments as the lawn took a while to respond. However, I must say the dandelions did go which we were pleased with, but once they died off, they left enormous holes in the lawn area. So.... Same old, same old .... We paid for yet another treatment to aerate and over-seed the lawn today. They did not tell me they'd arrived but did ring my doorbell when they had finished and were just about bolting off. I went out to have a look and I can't see any seeds on the bare patches at all. So.... I call up to talk to someone who told me that I can't see the seeds because they are dropped down the holes that the aerator leaves behind???? He suggested I purchase a bag of seed to put on the bare patches.

    I signed up for their complete care package - lawn and tree care - prepaid.
    Tree service was great - could immediately tell they had actually come out and done the job.
    The lawn care is an absolute nightmare.
    Scheduling is horrible - not sure what system they use but either they have A LOT of user error or they should change systems.
    First visit for lawn care was on 7-18 - was supposed to be weed killer and fertilizer - I honestly don't think they applied anything.
    Second visit for lawn care was on 8-5 - talked to the young man about my very healthy weeds that have doubled since the first visit on 7-18. Was told to call and schedule a free reapplication of weed killer. Called schedule for them to come out for weed killer on 8-7 and seeding on 8-19.
    Third visit for lawn care was on 8-7 - the applied fertilizer instead of weed killer - 2nd application in less than a month. Called again - scheduled for weed killer application on 8-9 and seeding on 8-21.

    Fourth visit for lawn care was on 8-9 - you guessed it they applied fertilizer AGAIN for the 3rd application in less than a month. Called to cancel the plan. Apparently seeding was still scheduled to happen on 8-19.

    See before and after pics- this damage occurred within 5 weeks of hiring TruGreen to maintain my well established lawn as I am no longer physically capable to do it on my own. Clearly they destroyed my lawn, I went from a plush thick green lawn to weeds, brown spots and dead grass. Their “specialist” that finally came after 2 weeks of calling for them wrote on his evaluation that my lawn had mower tracks and needs water. I water religiously in the morning aside from the rain we had. You can see in the photos the difference between what my lawn looked like under my care vs. Trugreen's treatments. I am completely disappointed- the only thing I was offered was a refund - no attempt to fix the damage they caused. Lastly I rarely write reviews- for me to take the time to do so is a 1000% accurate account of my experience with Trugreen and hope you won’t hire them!

    TERRIBLE is an understatement! Left chemicals all over cement. Left PITS IN THE CEMENT from chemicals- I have photo to prove from the date with the chemicals pits were created. Product did NOT kill one weed or crabgrass. Communication is TERRIBLE. Stay away! They promise to blow cement, they promise to use liquid chemicals- every person just tells you a different story! Chemicals can be on cement if it's dry and blown off- but cement was wet and chemicals were left to melt and create pits. Derek is very rude and arrogant- oh his chemicals are "physically impossible to do that"- fine we will go to court to prove that wrong! A little common sense that the cement holes match all your chemicals- some people need to be able to THINK and be KIND. Communication is key and they do not listen and have attitudes!

    That's fine, we can take this to the next step of common sense. They promised to blow cement- but NEVER EVER do that! They promise to spray trees/ shrubs- well they did 10 percent of them! It's all a SCAM! Just do what you promise- that's all we are asking and also first do no harm. To be continued..... They could of worked this out honestly and kindly- but with lies and being arrogant- things will and do escalate! Sometimes open honest kind conversation can solve things vs creating such a mess. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! Or you will play the price.

    As a prepaid, yearly customer, I am extremely disappointed with the condition of my lawn. It is now riddled with dead patches, overrun with crabgrass, and marred by splotches of fertilizer from careless applications.     I am absolutely disgusted with TruGreen. Our lawn has never looked worse. Our 2 fig trees, which were previously very healthy, are dying. I have been disconnected 2 out of 4 phone calls that I've made. I was told untrue statements by a customer service specialist which led to me having to contact them again. I am getting a refund for less than I was told. It has been a truly disappointing experience from beginning to end.

    I am writing this review about Trugreen because my service in the Lewes, Delaware area is horrendous. I have waited over 3 weeks for a callback service because the weeks in my yard are terrible. Trugreen has cancelled both services on me with a Text. Message. No one will tell me why the service is cancelled. But I get a text saying your guy will be there today to perform service on your lawn. Then at 5pm both times they cancel. I want a full refund. They have gave me partial but that’s not good enough. Poor customer service. And when you get the text stating your service is on his way. You can see the truck is less than a mile from your home and it sits in the same spot for 3 hours. I was told a manager would call. None has called.

    I contracted with a TruGreen so my lawn would look better and honestly I am going to cancel services. My lawn has so many dead areas and I have more weeds than I’ve ever had. I wish I would have seen these reviews before signing up. I would have found someone else. I will be ending the contract tomorrow and alerting my credit card. This is so concerning to see almost 6000 reviews at a one star. The company should be shut down. I can say that most of the reviews I’ve read are in alignments with what has happened with my yard, weeds and the fact that the guy is there for five minutes or less. I thought I just wasn’t doing enough. But I can see that something is going on.

    TruGreen is not but a scam. They don't give full information when selling their services. They offered discount for a year and then all of a sudden new charges are showing up. I told them I don't want automatic start of the service. The work is also not that great. I would rather get it done with someone else.

    Started service with TruGreen in April 2024. They said they would aerate the lawn and treat it asap with a type of weed and feed and overseer. They said they would leave flags in the corner of the lawn once they've treated (no flags ever left). My Ring camera shows them arriving twice despite their own statement of suggesting they have been there 5 times in 4 months of service. The last time they arrived, they got out of the truck with a spreader and did one 30 second "U" shaped walk in the front lawn and got back in their truck and left.

    I attached a picture of what our lawn looks like after 4 months of supposed treatment from TruGreen. There are more weeds than grass. I called Customer Service today and they placed me on hold for 2 hours. I finally hung up and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau. Our HOA is fining us $10 each day for excessive weeds and we thought all along they were being treated until we reviewed video. Highly disappointed. These guys should not be in business and I should take them to court for False advertising, not fulfilling their own contract, and for the fines that our HOA is assessing us for weeds.

    If there is option to select negative star I would have selected that for TruGreen. This is worst ever company I came across. I don't know about many but any of their service (Lawn and Tree/Shrub treatment) really worked for us. Every time I talk to technician they always talk about something that doesn't make sense. Finally I got it all canceled. Even after I canceled it they continue sending technician to service and sent bill for that. When I called Customer service they were not at all cooperative. They did same earlier when I canceled Lawn service and they keep on sending bills. Finally gave up and paid for one service which I never requested for. This time I have email proof that I have canceled all the service and bill and service that was done after the cancellation. Please don't use TruGreen service. They are horrible.

    I wish I could say worth it. This is our 3rd year and our lawn looks the worst it's ever. It's been an uphill battle the last 2 years. Truegreen would notify me they completed my lawn service, meanwhile they would never show up. Tracks in the yard show they don't cover the entire yard. I was quoted one price, it wasn't honored and was told because they need employee raises. I wish I could put a photo in here to show the magnitude of weeds. What are they treating? My neighbor across the way has lawn doctor. Definitely can see the difference. Embarrassing I pay so much with little to no results. I gave them a shot.

    I have been using Tru Green for years. I just added a 3rd property to my account. Every spring I pay in full for my properties. This year I have had nothing but hassle with the call center, the scheduling and now they’re billing me for something I didn’t ask for. Apparently they went out to the newest property and sprayed for mosquitoes twice and are telling me that I’m past due and now they’re sending it to collection. I didn’t ask them to go out there and spray for mosquitoes. So now the relentless phone calls for money past due is consuming my summer.

    Two out of the three properties is just out of control with weeds. You can’t talk to an actual employee with a brain. They won’t let you get through past call-center, which is just people uneducated in the field, some very stressed and rude. I don’t know what happened to this company this year, but I will assure them that I will never use them again after all these years. This has been the most stressful situation of the season is dealing with Tru green, their nonstop collection phone calls and me having to call them every month to ask if they are ever coming back for fertilization, weeds, and grubs. Never ever will I be using them again

    Original Review: I can’t speak to their actual product because I was so dissatisfied with the company I would refuse to use them. I inquired about a quote for lawn service and within 24 hours I received calls from 4 different individuals, texts from them, and someone even stopped by my house unsolicited. When I did speak with someone to get a quote they were rude and condescending. I did not accept the quote at that time because I was comparing multiple companies. However, I was harassed by repeated calls from the company. I informed them I would not be working with them and asked them not to call me again. After that I continued to receive multiple calls from different people despite repeatedly requesting that they not contact me again. The calls were from all different people and numbers that it felt like a scam. They clearly have no personal touch or respect for customers. I am one more call away from a report to the BBB.

    Signed up for 1 year service in August 2023, and then only the worst experience ever, nightmare and the worst customer service:
    1. They made a mistake in square footage of my lawn, I spent 6 months to fix it with their customer service. Every time they come I had to ask them to service my back yard, not just front yard, because I paid for full area, however it took them 6 months to fix it in the system.

    2. Every time they come they just spray a little bit here and there, as a result lawn stays full of weed and I had to call them back to come to reapply, however square footage was incorrect in their system, so they underservice it again and again.

    3. I was told that I paid for the service until August 2024, but they started charging me as of June. Took me 3 hours on the phone to waive it, telling them that I didn't sign up for additional services outside of my prepaid.
    4. They always want to mislead you and make you sign up for the things. Look at the website, it says "You have 4 services remaining for 2024", however it doesn't say whether it is within prepaid plan or you will have to pay for it on top. Website made the way that it is impossible to reconcile how much is left on your prepaid.

    5. The worst customer service. Thousands of customer service representatives with heavy accent who hang up on you when you they don't want to deal with your issues.

    15 years ago we decided to have TruGreen spray our Spuce and Blue Spruce trees that we planted from seedlings 30 years ago as suggested by this company to prevent various diseases and insects from possibly damaging the trees that were doing well at that point. Several seasons later, we started to notice some dieback and excessive needle cast and limited new growth. We elected not to have a Spruce tree in our backyard sprayed because of our dogs. Therefore we decided to cancel TruGreen services since the untreated tree was doing great. From that time to today, the trees treated by TruGreen have continued to decline while the untreated tree and a couple that were difficult to access are looking great. Our conclusion is that just like human vaccines, chemicals on plants can have detrimental side effects.

    Sorry folks... Tried TruGreen for a year... Worst my lawn looked in 14 years here in the South.. Have no idea what they were putting down for 12 months but I ended up with nothing but crabgrass and weeds.. Took over my own lawn care this spring and in 2 months it's beautiful...
