Customer service is horrible!! bought my machine not even a month ago and it’s already broken and they won’t do a thing about it except for order parts on a brand new machine so I have to sit here and wait for who knows how long.

We are in our 70s. 5 years ago we bought a Speed Queen top load washer. Last year we started having trouble with it, right after the warranty ran out, naturally. We’ve had the panel replaced and another problem fixed and now the motor has burned out. We’ve called the company and we’re basically told too bad. The service rep was not at all sympathetic and they obviously do not stand behind their product. Very disappointed.

I bought a Speed Queen washing machine a few weeks ago (TR5006WN) from a local store. It took weeks to come in, and when I received it I was excited. BUT the machine doesn't wash well. I've had to wash underwear 3 times to try to get it clean, and lint collects like crazy on my clothes. I called a repair guy who said the machine is working properly, but I don't agree. The local store won't take it back (they said they NEVER take appliances back), and when I called Speed Queen weeks ago, they also won't take it back, or exchange it. They told me I could sell it online, which I think is poor customer service. I heard that these machines can last for 20 years, but why would I want to keep a machine that doesn't work for 20 years?

After today I will never wash here. All because this super fake nice girl called Brittney? At least that’s the name she gave me. Given the fact that I wash and spend a lot of money doing so, I was putting my dry laundry in the dryer when she approached me telling me someone else were waiting for the large washers and basically told me to speed it up. Given the fact I had not even been there a few minutes and she tried to rush me out of them so some of her friends can use them didn't sit well with me at all.

Note they have quite a lot of close friends that they service and the rest of us just get the shoulder. You can hear lots personal conversation than actual work. Also I was supposed to get a free dry but of course this airhead totally forgot about that. I’m over people that rude and unappreciative. Do yourself favor and wash someone else. I actually just confronted her and she was incredibly rude. Beside the washers are always musty and don’t seem to be cleaned at all.

I reached out to Alliance (Speed Queen) in December of 2025. They had a company to contact me but, they never came to my property, always asking what it is doing, let me hear it thinks of that nature. They said they have to order parts. While waiting on the parts, other issues begin to happen. Called Speed Queen, they said call technician, tell them. I did, they still after December 2025 never came out. Months past now, it is March, still washer not fixed several issues after the others. Speed Queen referred me to another technician company. They came out twice, still washer is not fixed. Have to return again, it is now May 2026. This company started in March. I asked Alliance Speed Queen for another washer or my refund back.

I have never known such a mess in my life to have a warranty and not get it fixed in a reasonable time. This is most definitely a beware of with this company and no sympathy at all. I will not refer anyone to buy from them. A warranty does not mean a thing with them, you will suffer, the wait its not worth it. I need my refund or another washer. I need legal advice on this matter from someone, please.

New ownership of a Speed Queen washer, the machine is great, only have praise for it. However the company's customer service and warranty is the worst. I had to call in since two parts were missing upon the unboxing of the machine. The Representative was insulting, rude, and her mental abilities to even handle the call was seriously doubtful. End result I was refused any service, refused request to talk with a supervisor or manager, and told if I wanted the missing parts I would have to repurchase them. Customer service does not exist from this untrustworthy company. If you buy a machine you better hope that their promotions of a 7 year warranty and great customer service will not be tested, for me they fail beyond reason and it seems many other reviewers share the same belief that this company is criminal in their conduct when it comes to a paid for warranty that does not exist. I’m taking them to my local Small Claims court.

Both washer and dryer from Speed Queen have had to be serviced multiple times under warranty. The repair process is horrible. Takes weeks and weeks to get parts and someone put to fix it. I’m currently waiting indefinitely because parts are on back order and they can’t even provide an estimate of when the part will arrive. Going on week 3 without a washer. Do not buy speed queen.

Speed Queen is extremely disappointing overall. I need to have my machine serviced every year. It is poor quality and a huge inconvenience. Most noticeably, the electronic issues. We purchased ours expecting a washer that would live up to its reputation. It absolutely did not do that. I will never buy a Speed Queen, ever again. I have six children. Speed Queen will never be a name we hand down to our children. Terribly sad and unfortunate for Speed Queen.

Like many others I can’t recommend staying further away from Speed Queen. You’re paying for a premium product that simply doesn’t live up to the cost. We purchased the TR7 and DR7. The washer has had the lid lock replaced multiple times, and is still hit or miss if it actually wants to engage. The real issue has been the dryer that’s a literal safety issue and won’t shut off. Due to this issue, metal grates inside of the dryer literally melted (see picture below). Since then, we’ve professionally cleaned the vents, replaced thermostats, replaced the control board and we still have a dryer that won’t shut off. At this point, I wouldn’t put a free Speed Queen in my home.

I had a year remaining on my DR7000WE, however Speed Queen would not repair or replace it. I was given the option of buying the DC5004WE at half price. The dryer DC5004WE is a JOKE! There is NO count down timer. The clothes do not dry even when on the extend dry and fluff. Whoever designed this dryer, NEVER used a dryer!! My opinion of Speed Queen is very LOW! Speed Queen does NOT stand behind the warranty!! They sell lousy products “designed” by someone that knows nothing about dryers.

Fourteen months ago we purchased a TR7003WN washing machine from NFM. We chose this machine based off the positive Speed Queen reviews. Five weeks ago the machine stopped in the middle of a cycle with an error message L1. We submitted a repair request immediately as the machine is under warranty. As of today, we are still waiting for the part. This is completely unacceptable for a highly rated American made product. Communication with customer service has been disappointing. I regret buying this machine. We expected more from this company.

Purchased tc5 last December and nothing but problems. No hot water, soap backs up sometimes from the drain and was told to get a Plumber. Never had that happen before. I get nervous every time I have to use this machine. I had a washer for over 25 years and never had these problems and all I get is to hire a plumber.

We bought a Speed Queen washing machine and dryer mainly because of the warranty. We’ve had problems with both, and it’s always extremely difficult to get a repair person out to fix them. This time, we’ve been without our washing machine for 2 months (and counting). Thank goodness for our old Whirlpool. It’s the only thing getting us through. Customer service is a joke. They are not helpful and are EXTREMELY RUDE… and claim they don’t have Supervisors. If Zero was an option, that would be our rating.

Have purchased 10s of thousands of dollars from Alliance/Speed Queen in past 35+ years for multi family properties. SQ has always been the "gold standard" for me...But no more. Purchased a set of new "no coin" commercial machines for my new line. Two days after moving in, machine malfunctioned and flooded the 2nd floor and trashing out the 1st floor ceiling. Although insurance ultimately covered the loss, Alliance made zero...I mean A big 0 ...To take any accountability. Subrogation, since I told the insurance company I would receive nothing less than 100% of our loss, eventually yielded a result. When someone shows you who they are... Believe them.

Fast forward 1 year and washing machine failed. Warranty did come make repair in a couple days with a few calls. Now...Another year later...Dry heating element failed. Having owned many apartments, I know to keep venting clean so although it is possible....it's unlikely that's the issue but I would guess it will take another 2 hrs of calls to get someone to answer the phone. Called twice today and first time on hold 25 min and second time told 42 minutes....And asked to press 1 for a call back. No such luck so I get to call tomorrow.

Customer service is EVERYTHING and Alliance/Speed Queen has shown they are no longer a premium service company. I remain optimistic the machine will be a simple fix...But 2 washers and one dryer in 3 years sounds more like the 1 yr warranty brands you buy at a big box store...And not SQ. In 35 plus years never had such poor products and poor customer service from Speed Queen. Guessing it's the parent company...Alliance .. that's the problem.

We bought a Speed Queen Top Load Washer about two years ago and I couldn't be happier with it. It takes half the time of any other washer, clothes come out cleaner and almost dry. I will ALWAYS have a Speed Queen washer. Now I'm waiting for my dryer to go out so I can get a Speed Queen dryer also.

I purchased a Speed Queen in summer of 2022 based on a recommendation from a friend. I'm a single guy who does about one load of laundry per week so very light use. During the summer of 2025 I started hearing random beeping (at first very rare but slowly increasing over months). Eventually I realized that it was my Speed Queen washer beeping.

I purchased the TR3 model that comes with a 3 year warranty. Unfortunately, even though the washer had a faulty part (user interface control) and even though it had gone faulty within the warranty period they still refused to cover the cost of repair and parts because I didn't reach out inside the 3 year warranty window. I asked to speak with a superior by email and they have now ghosted me. I highly recommend never purchasing a Speed Queen product as they are overpriced and have horrible customer service. They do not stand behind their products and you are better off buy a cheaper model (which will probably last longer) from a different company. I paid over $1,200 for this washer (the most I have ever paid for a washer).

Our second DR5 dryer lasted just past the warranty period before it quit heating and drying. In the beginning, the dryer functioned great and we were impressed with our first Speed Queen dryer until it took a lightning surge. This one is on whole house surge and no storms lately. The local repair company is horrible, charging to come out and diagnose, them wait 2 weeks for parts and pay again, usually with very rude service people. We bought Speed Queen based on past experience and durability. Not paying $1500+ for a new dryer just to have it go out in 5 years. Will be buying another brand with same warranty, but 1/3 the price.

Our brand-new Speed Queen washer was broken upon delivery and wouldn’t complete even a single wash cycle. We couldn’t do one load of laundry. For a company that promotes commercial-grade durability and reliability, that is unacceptable. The unit is under warranty, and while a technician was sent out, it has now been weeks and we are still left with a faulty machine. Instead of replacing a brand-new defective washer, we were offered $80 for the inconvenience. That does not address the issue. We don’t want compensation — we want a new washer that works as it should.

When customers pay a premium price for Speed Queen, they do so because of the brand’s reputation for quality and long-term dependability. A machine that fails out of the box should be replaced promptly, not repeatedly serviced while the customer waits without resolution. At this point, we are simply asking for what we originally paid for: a functioning washer. Speed Queen needs to stand behind its product and resolve this properly.

Speed Queen is the worse product you could buy. Went up in smoke after 6 months. Bought brand new. It's been over a month of people coming out and every single time a new part. Customer service is worse I have ever experienced. Finally today after calling multiple times and leaving multiple customer forms they told me they won't replace it at all. My only option is to let them keep working on it, not a single I'm sorry for this horrible experience. Nothing. What on earth qualifies for a replacement if mine going up in smoke needing the gearbox, belt, drum, bearing, drive belt and seal kit replace at yet doesn't qualify? I have had this thing for 6 months and everything in it is destroyed. I even said, "You expect me to buy a new washing machine or go to laundromat for over a month until you're done replacing everything and nothing but a huff on the phone."

By far the biggest waste of money. A Samsung washer would've lasted me longer and saved me more than 1/2 the money that was paid for this junk. Basically only have the original shell. Had to even cut and replace the wiring and break through stuff that was fused on. Also only did laundry for 2 people me and husband and broke in 6 months. I don't know about you but if something goes up in smoke in your home you don't want everything replaced inside it, you just want the entire thing gone nowhere near your home.
