    Product Model: Samsung ME21R7051SS Condition: Less than 3 years old, lightly used, well-maintained. I purchased the ME21R7051SS microwave expecting the same long-lasting reliability we’ve had with previous Samsung appliances. We’ve invested in nearly 20 new Samsung devices, and our prior microwaves easily lasted 11+ years, so we didn't see the need for an extended warranty. Unfortunately, we woke up to an unexpected beeping sound and a “SE” error message on the display. The microwave had been kept in pristine condition and was used very sparingly, so this issue was surprising and concerning.

    What made the situation worse was the support experience. After multiple chat transfers and even a disconnect, we finally reached someone—but the service felt disconnected and unsympathetic, especially considering our long-standing loyalty to the brand. We expected a bit more consideration given our purchase history and the fact that this microwave was well within a reasonable lifespan. We’re disappointed with both the device's durability and the level of support received.

    Poor quality and performance. I bought that microwave exactly in 7/23. It already has a problem. Even though it was barely used. I had to bring technician from Consumer energy insurance plan. The whole door needs replacement because of some control doesn't work. My plan with consumer doesn't cover the cost of part which I found out about $440. I contacted Samsung and stated the equipment out of warranty. This equipment is not used much. I stay in my house for six months and my wife and rarely uses it. I am disappointed in Samsung and the customer service. I am retired and on budget and I thought buying Samsung might be better quality. I would never recommend Samsung to anybody for poor quality and services. My recommendation to all is stay away from this name brand.

    Horrible service. The microwave broke within two weeks. It was like a $400 microwave and it’s taking me weeks to even have anybody to come out and service the microwave and they’re still not here. It’s been broke or longer than I’ve had it.

    DO NOT Buy Samsung. By mistake I bought a new Samsung Microwave from Lowe's on March 29th, 2025. As of today (June 5th, 2025), it has not worked for 6 of the 9 weeks I've owned it and all Samsung wants to do is send more technicians for more repairs. And Lowes takes not ownership to fix it either. Samsung sold us a bad microwave and doesn't stand by it and just replace. Horrible.

    We purchased a Samsung over the oven 1.1 version. Very poor designed. I’ve been hit in head by door several times. The fan comes on when you shut door. The turn on button is right where you put your hand to shut it. The front is very dark so buttons are hard to read. Poor poor designed. Don’t buy. This one needs a design overhaul completely. My husband won’t let me throw it out so I’m stuck with it unfortunately. Bummer.

    Samsung does not stand behind their products. They push the blame on the customer when there is an issue. Their warranty is terrible. They make you remove the over the range microwave in order for the repair company to investigate and then say the issue doesn't happen when it off the wall so it must be an installation issue.

    Our issue is that the unit periodically shorts and trips the breaker. They want us to reinstall for a third time and take more videos so they can come back out after the unit is once again removed from the wall which in itself has caused damage to the ductwork that I have had to repair. It's costing SAMSUNG more money to have a repair person come out to look at it than to replace the unit. The repair person called Samsung and had the phone on speaker and I over heard the Samsung rep indicate that the customer is to not be a part of the conversation. How else is Samsung supposed to get accurate information. MODEL # ME17R7021ES.

    Never mind wall clips so cheap they broke inside wall. Once I push 30 sec. heat & it goes to 89 minutes. Samsung says have to send video. How do you do that when problems are intermittent? Take food out, fan goes on like a wind tunnel. They say is normal. But fan won't come on while cooking. Another time, strange code not in book. Rona keeps asking them, come out & look. Finally they call me to tell me that they will call me, seriously, that's what they said. Never heard from them again. With all that is wrong, how can I know machine isn't cooking me as well as food?

    Any item created by Samsung is not very good, whether it's the microwaves or mobile phones. Avoid at all cost. Our apartment complex uses Samsung products, I recommended to them to discontinue purchasing for renters in the future.

    I purchased the 1.9 cu. ft. over the range Samsung microwave. After less than 2 years it completely broke. It looks and worked Ok while it lasted. I am very disappointed with the product quality. I will not even try to repair it. Instead I will purchase a more reliable brand.

    This is a horrible product, Only had it for 3 months and already having issues. No longer heats, Bought the matching range $2000. I want it to be replaced, Samsung said no, all they wanna do, Send out a repair person, Never again. Will I purchase anything Samsung? Do not waste your money

    We bought a package deal with Samsung appliances. That was less than 3 years ago. We have had multiple problems with our refrigerator and now the microwave has stopped working. We found out it would cost $175.00 just to have someone to come and check it out. It was an above-cabinet model so it could not be taken in. It was less expensive to trash it and buy a new one. Other brands that we have had lasted 8-10 YEARS. Don't buy appliances from Samsung.

    Bought the microwave in 2019, worked fine until last year 2023. I started noticing moisture on the control panel. Either from cooking or cleaning. After that, it stopped working. I wouldn't recommend this product. Unless you're willing to pay for technical.

    Model ME21M706BAS. Purchased through Home Depot 12/2/23 and delivered/installed 12/9/23. We called 11/22/24 to Samsung and did a phone and video to show the problems of the machine not working. It was less than 1 year, and was under full warranty. We were told we'd be contacted within 48 hours, ticket 4178851858. 11/26/24 I called and texted that we had no contact and were given the vendor's phone number for the repair. The vendor did not call and 11/27/24, I called and the repair was scheduled 12/3/24. The vendor claimed the microwave was repaired, but the microwave failed 12/4/24. We called the vendor and he was to come back out on 12/10 to fix the problem. He no-showed and no called 12/10.

    We called numerous times and he did not answer and did not return calls. We called Samsung again 12/12 and was issued ticket 5134878073 for an elevated assistance on the repair. The return phone message was lost due to "operator error" but I texted the number and got no response. I called again 12/16 as a follow up since I did not receive a call or text from the last contact. A ticket, 4179103570, was issued but the work order says the repair was out of warranty and they would be out 12/24/24.

    I called Samsung 12/16 and explained it was the same problem from 11/22 and was still under warranty. There was no update to the work order so I called Samsung 12/19 and was issued a new ticket, 5134907459 by manager Kaye, and she cancelled the work order. 12/21/24, the elevated group contacted me and told me a service provider will be with me in 1-2 business days. That would be 12/23 or 12/24. That means that the repair will not happen until after Christmas. That is the second holiday, I will not have a microwave. If the prior work order was not cancelled, I could have had the appliance for Christmas when the service provider would come out on 12/24/ 24. I cancelled other events to be available for the appointments and spent hours on the phone with the call center.

    Bought an over the stove stainless steel microwave $545 + tax and it died in just over a year. I have contacted customer service and was told to call one of their service stores. The closest one was over 2 hours away and wanted to charge a few hundred dollars just to come and look at it. I told them no way, that's ridiculous. They were to get back to me but I have never heard from them again and I am still without a microwave. No fair. I can't just go out and buy a new one after paying that much money for one that didn't last.

    Don't buy nothing from this brand. All the appliances are made to not last not even a month, and you request a replacement of the parts, and they just said, "It’s out of warranty." Please don’t waste your money. Samsung sucks!!!

    I replaced my Samsung microwave which quit heating in about 4&1/2 years. I wish I looked at the ratings before I bought another Samsung, they all seem to do that. I wanted it to match my other Samsung appliances that are all 4&1/2 years old. The new microwave is also much cheaper with less options as the same model, i.e. one stage fan, instead of three, a smaller inside, and a smaller tray, and the door is thinner, cheaper and flexes. That’s what you get for more $$$. When trying to register your purchase on their website, it’s designed so you can’t. That’s so you just buy another one when yours craps out! Their service also sucks as they have no Samsung service dealer where I live and that’s ridiculous as I live by a major city. After I bought the washer and dryer set, the washer didn’t work and I had Lowe's take them back and I bought another brand. No more Samsung, horrible company with garbage products!

    Bought a microwave. Took delivery early as store did not not to hold on to. Once renovations complete opened microwave to install not rotation ring. A plastic part. Samsung refused to send the part as it was after 48 hours of delivery date. Supervisor did nothing but quote same 48 hour policy. Unable to make a decision based on circumstances. Worst service I have ever experienced. Completely inadequate and no sense of keeping a relationship with long time customer.

    It cooks well but the numbers don't light up so it's hard to see especially if your elderly, the inside light is so dim you can't see anything inside while it's cooking so stuff boils over, at first I thought the light only worked when the door was open. I will never buy this brand again.

    Purchased a Samsung microwave and for some reason had to wait over 30 days for it to arrive. Upon arrive it looked good. Installed and the door was loose and no way to fix it. Contacted Samsung and they were of no assistance. Very cheaply made and terrible customer service. Recommend looking at another company for your next microwave purchase.

    Purchased Samsung appliances for our kitchen remodel, the over the range microwave, used sparingly, stopped heating with less than 2 years of use. Called Samsung and were told it was out of warranty, so we contacted Michalesons and after $400+ repair got the magnetron fixed/replaced on it. That was February, here we are April 1st, it worked for less than 2 months and it went back to the same demo mode as before and stopped heating. Now Michalesons wants another $130.00 service charge to tell once again that the magnetron is broke before they fix it. The entire ordeal has cost us more than if we were to have just bought another brand new high-end microwave. I do not recommend Samsung appliances. We had trouble with our Samsung gas range as well. So disappointed.

    Purchased an oven range microwave summer of 2023, heating element stopped working 7 months later...contacted Samsung due to warranty... after speaking to 13 people over several calls and weeks they WILL NOT REFUND our money as we no longer have the decals or the broken microwave. I have been extremely helpful with everything but will NEVER purchase or own even I'd given for free another Samsung product. Their customer service is crappy and they drag everything out just to ensure they DON'T have to supply a refund. Worst experience I've ever had with any company!.. Do not buy Samsung, they suck!!

    Had the first problem with the microwave 8 months in, it completely stopped heating. Samsung sent out Tech from Cone Appliance, they managed to dent the front of the microwave when trying to diagnose problem so new door panel and 2 new parts, finally got it running a week later. 90-day warranty cut to now still within the 90 days and it doesn’t work again but can’t get Samsung or Cone Appliance to get out here to fix it. Seems to be a recurring theme for both companies. Don’t buy this microwave, it has bad reviews and Samsung doesn’t stand by any product.

    I experienced a very dangerous issue with my Samsung PowerGrill Duo Countertop Microwave (Model # MC12J8035CT/AA), which I purchased February 07, 2021. August 30, 2023, I used the microwave to pop popcorn for 2 minutes. As I have hundreds of times, I walked away, waiting for the bell to let me know the timer was finished. As customary when using the appliance, remembering that I have something in it, happens only when I hear the bell. The next thing I noticed (about 10 minutes later) was that my kitchen was filled with smoke. I quickly unplugged the unit and investigated what happened. The unit was extremely hot to the touch, smoke was billowing from the back, and I found the popcorn bag seconds from bursting into flames.

    The timer is faulty. On its own, it increased rapidly until I unplugged it. It had run until it read over 85 hours and 32 minutes. I plugged it back in, which reset the timer to zero and set it to 2 minutes again. I stood there and watched it. After about 30 seconds, again the timer began to spin out of control, adding time at a high rate of speed, while the microwave was running. I repeated this process, and the same thing happened.

    Had I not seen and smelled the smoke when I did, it would most certainly have burst into flames, which would have started my kitchen cabinet on fire, and likely my entire house. This is an extremely dangerous hazard that must be addressed. Fortunately, this time no one was injured and there was no damage other than lingering smoke. However, I can never use this microwave again.

    I wrote Samsung President Han, Jong Hee and asked him for Samsung to thoroughly investigate and correct the issue with this model to prevent the inevitable loss of property and life of another user, and to either replace my microwave with a new one or reimburse me for this one. Although the manufacturer’s warranty expired January 31, 2022, because my issue is not one of a malfunction with its heating ability or efficacy, but a very real concern about it being an extreme fire hazard, Samsung sent a technician to look at the unit.

    Of course, the issue did not surface while the technician was at my home. And, as I fully expected, the technician (in consultation by cell with Samsung) made the excuse that I was at fault for the failure of the microwave timer. I didn’t, however, anticipate that the excuse would be that the unit did not having enough ventilation around the perimeter. That claim is absolutely ludicrous, since, as per the user manual, I had significantly more than the requisite 10cm spacing on all sides. At this point, I don’t want anything from Samsung. I will take the microwave to the dump (too dangerous to use), but I do want to alert all potential buyers about the danger associated with this unit. I will never buy a Samsung microwave again. I simply cannot risk it.

    I purchased a Samsung microwave from Lowe’s on Feb 10th 2023. Not even a month later the microwave was dead. Called support. They created a ticket and since then I have had 4 techs come out to try to fix this. Each visit it was it needs a new part. The last 2 times they replaced the same part again. The last tech that came out 2 days ago took the microwave to their shop. I didn’t hear anything and this morning reached out to Samsung care and found out that they closed the ticket 10 days ago. So a microwave that is 2 months old has had all these parts swapped still not working and we are without a microwave for over a month. This can’t be how Samsung treats a loyal customer? We have all high end Samsung appliances in our home.

    I have been very patient over the last month. I am done. I am requesting a refund or a replacement. It’s not fair that I have to deal with this lemon. I understand that there is no current recall but at this point it’s about doing the right thing. I can’t believe I have to go this route. I expect a resolution asap. I do not feel this product is safe after many different hands have been working on it.

    I purchased a new Samsung 1.7 cf over the range microwave 14 months ago at Lowe's. The microwave was professionally installed by Lowe's to specifications. Yesterday, the door did not latch properly and would not close. I called Samsung Customer Service and was basically told that it was out of warranty and it would probably be cheaper to just purchase another one! I keep my appliances well kept and do not abuse them. I am a retired 65 year old woman with no children and this appliance was not abused. They gave me no satisfaction whatsoever. I strongly warn others purchasing their appliances and have been told they are not reliable!

    My Samsung over the range microwave stopped heating food after two years of use. I contacted Samsung to get it repaired. They gave me a ticket number and sent me a text that included the option to get an e-coupon to buy a replacement. I opted for the coupon and was unable get it to open. I contacted Samsung and was eventually issued a new coupon and told to use it on a Samsung like to find and purchase a replacement microwave. I clicked on the link and searched though the over the range microwaves to find an equivalent microwave. Every one I clicked on said it wasn’t available in my area. I communicated this to Samsung and was advised to go to a Samsung dealer.

    I went to the Home Depot store where I bought the microwave I was trying to replace to see if they could help me get a replacement unit using the e-coupon. They couldn’t, so they helped me contact Samsung to see if there was another way to get the microwave I wanted paid for by Samsung. I was told by the Samsung representative I talked to that he had discussed this with the appropriate department and that they would contact me within 24-48 hrs with an answer. When I hadn’t heard back from Samsung after 5 days, I called and after being passed to several departments, talk to a representative in the Refund Department who checked into the matter and told me that I had used the first coupon issued for purchasing the microwave and couldn’t get any further resolution. I told her the first coupon link didn’t work and that was why the second coupon was issued.

    She didn’t accept that and said they had done all they were going to do. So, in summary the Samsung product I bought only worked right for two years, I tried to get it fixed, they offered me an e-coupon I could get instead to purchase a replacement, I tried using the coupon as instructed and couldn’t find a unit that was available in my area, I tried to get a replacement from Home Depot using the coupon but they had no way to let me use it, I contacted Samsung as was told they would issue me a check to use to by a replacement unit, when I didn’t hear from Samsung, I called and talked to a person in their Refund Department about it and was told I had used the first coupon, which I hadn’t used and they weren’t going to do any more. Thus, I got nothing for my over a month of working on this issue. Needless to say I will never buy any other Samsung product or recommend anyone else does.

    I have a 2 year old Microwave model ME18H704SFS. In January the magnetron had to be replaced. It is now October & it has stopped working again. A week later a service tech came out. Not more than pushed the start button and confirmed it was not working as I had told them. He said 3 things could be wron. He was ordering all 3 parts. Never opened it to test anything. Basically plan is change parts & hope for the best. Needless to say I will not be buying any Samsung appliances in the future.

    Bought Samsung microwave from Home Depot. It quit heating anything up after a couple of days. Called Samsung and they sent out a technician. He struggled to get unit out to be serviced and dropped the microwave on our brand new stove. Dented and scratching the top of it. Then when he tried to put the microwave back he dented the bottom of the microwave re-installing it. Brand new microwave and stove! When I contacted Samsung they said it wasn't their problem. I needed to contact service technician. After sending pictures of damage by email and text they offered us $50. Now we have a dented microwave and stove and the microwave still doesn't work right. And they were only offering $50. Said I wanted the microwave replaced and now they have to send out a technician to prove that it doesn't work and that it's dented. Never buy Samsung product!!!

    Bought my over the range microwave in 2018. It failed in April 2022! My last microwave was not a Samsung and lasted 15 years. Due to the cost of a new unit, I had it repaired by my reputable repair company. Authorized Samsung repair had two star ** ratings! The magnetron failed and had it replaced. I called Samsung and they said via email that the Magnetron is covered due to their 1 year warranty. I called again and they agreed but then needed all sorts of paperwork for $145 item. Finally, they agreed to pay the $145 but would not pay the sales tax. Can you believe it, you can't make this up? I'll never buy or recommend a Samsung product!
