Outstanding moving company! The team arrived on time, handled all my belongings with great care, and worked efficiently throughout the move. They were professional, friendly, and made a potentially stressful day completely hassle-free. Everything arrived safely and on schedule. I highly recommend their services to anyone planning a move.

I want to share my experience with Safebound Moving & Storage so that other consumers can make an informed decision. I hired Safebound to pack and move my household belongings across the country. Based on the quote I received, my employer approved the relocation expense. However, when the movers arrived, I was informed that the original quote was only an estimate and that the actual cost would be thousands of dollars higher than what I had been quoted. It’s important to note that I was misquoted following a video call that took place for the Safebound team to see my place and provide me with that original estimate. In addition to the unexpected increase in cost, several serious issues occurred during my move:

      • My e-bike was lost during transit and was not located or returned to me for several months.

      • Three televisions that were packed and transported by the moving company arrived with significant damage. All three screens were cracked in multiple places and were unusable.

      • My bed frame, ottoman, wine rack, brand new mini fridge, standing gold floor lamp, and coffee table were damaged during the move. When I filed claims, I was informed that the company would not take responsibility because the items were not made of solid wood and, according to their position, should have been moved disassembled (you can read the details in the claims document I’ve attached).

What was most disappointing was the resolution process. Rather than fully addressing the loss and damage to my belongings, I was offered $500 in exchange for signing an agreement that would prevent me, my family, and my friends from discussing or sharing our experience publicly. I declined that offer. Moving across the country is stressful enough without unexpected charges, lost property, damaged belongings, and a difficult claims process. I encourage anyone considering this company to thoroughly review all contract terms, ask detailed questions about pricing, valuation coverage, claims procedures, and dispute resolution before committing. I’ve attached the “offer” they provided me and also some photos of the damages as a result of this company packing and moving my items. This review reflects my personal experience and is shared to help other consumers make an informed decision.

DO NOT BOOK. They lied to us. They will scam you on the day of your move!! We video called and got an estimate for $6200. Today is our moving day, and they’re trying to charge us $18,000. Jovanni, our sales rep, guaranteed that they are not brokers and that they have their own trucks and movers. They sent us another moving company today. So they are brokers!! We even paid extra to get the exact moving date, and they came a day early. So stressful that this is all happening on our moving day! Please save yourselves the trouble and don’t book your moving day with this company. Jovanni is a liar. I have receipts to prove everything.

I felt like I was being pushed for a sale right from the beginning. I received several calls from the salesperson to try to get my business. I asked if the company serviced the area I lived in and where my items would be stored for the next day delivery. The company serviced my area but didn’t have a warehouse in the area I lived in. From what I understand, the company drove my items all the way to the parent company in West Palm Beach. I would have used someone local had I known this. I was told my items would be delivered the next day by the salesman and this was not true. Also, tried to deliver my items 2 days later with a late arrival.

The customer service and sales team need work. The actual movers were amazing. I had a few broken items but they worked so hard it didn’t matter to me. I recommend the movers but do your research before hiring this company. I was not happy with the sales team and customer service team at all. I feel the movers are overworked. I later found out I was charged a fee I thought was company surcharge and it was gas surcharge. Misrepresented. I spent a lot of money to move 200 miles away. I don’t like to give bad reviews but do your research before hiring this company and read everything.

My initial contact with the Safebound employees was courteous and professional. I received a reasonable estimate based on my description and photos of the household goods. I then paid a 1/3 deposit via credit card. The moving crew arrived and the estimate was adjusted upward slightly. The crew was professional and did a great job wrapping up everything. I paid another 1/3 via Venmo. Not my choice for payment but the sub-contractor would not accept a credit card. Everything went south when it came time to deliver. A week later I was contacted by the delivery driver who planned to deliver the next day between 1-5 pm. He finally arrived at 8:30 pm. The apartment building would not allow the delivery at that late hour. The driver informed me that returning the next day would cost an additional $500.

The driver arrived at 9 am the next morning and demanded an additional $500, above the already agreed upon $500, for an "extended carry fee". Basically, he was demanded more money to unload the truck and "carry" the goods inside. I refused to pay any more than the agreed amount. The driver did not accept Venmo or credit cards but instead insisted on cash, Zelle, or cash app. He did unload and was polite and courteous. I initially contracted with what I thought was a professional moving company but was left to deal independently with 2nd party sub-contractors who tried aggressively to inflate the final cost. The multiple payment methods required was a ridiculous complication. The aggressive cost inflation attempts were very uncomfortable. It was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend or use this company again. There are better options.

After a positive interaction with Safebound Moving & Storage, Allan increased their star rating on April 8, 2026.

      Updated review: April 8, 2026

SafeBound reached out and made it right.

      Original Review: April 7, 2026

I wrote a review when they picked up my stuff, the guy said if I gave him a 5 star he wouldn’t charge me extra to wrap my stuff. Little did I know. I wrote the review, bought their lunches, drinks, snacks, made sure they were good the entire time. They took all day, ok, but there were 4 of them granted only 2 of them actually loaded anything up, “the boss” was in the truck the entire time. Came out once to grab food, and then at the very end when he had me sign everything. All the paperwork was was completely disorganized, not legible at all, but, there were a lot of good reviews, so what’s the worst that could happen…

1 week later they delivered my stuff, and one by one things started coming off the truck smashed, scratched, broken, or not even on the truck. 72” Broyhill electric fireplace with TV stand smashed to bits, they took off the base and stood it on its side, and it folded like an accordion, artwork scratched, crystal wine glasses broken, every leg on all my end tables were broken, the rocker part of my kids' rocking chair, they tried taking it apart maybe, broken where it connects. Bend the legs off the bottom of my son’s dresser, the bolts were bent and the wood was all marred.

The list goes on and on, a total of 60 plus items damaged. That is not including the items that are just missing, I submitted the claim, and they came back with a refund of 93 dollars… I don’t care what you do, use them, don’t use them, they may be good next time. Idk, but this place is not a place I will ever use again, nor will l let any of my friends or family use them. The fact that they offered me 93 dollars after all that is a joke. It If I could rate less than 1 I would.

Don't be fooled by the nice customer service representatives. I paid for Safebound to move me and without telling me they sent another moving company. The Forman of that company was trying to upsell me throughout the entire moving day making it way more stressful than it needed ro be. He kept telling me there may not be enough room in the truck over and over. I moved from Colorado to Florida.

After the movers left and a week of not hearing from anyone I called safebound and they said it would be another 7-10 days and gave me a bs story of moving my stuff onto another truck. The next day the moving company they hired called and said he would be here the following day on Easter Sunday. He said they dont observe holidays. When i was thinking about storage, safebound told me last minute that my things would not be in their storage facility like they said before I paid my deposit. It would be in someone else's facility. Do they do any of their own moving and storage or are they just middlemen salespeople? I had high hopes for safebound. They really know how to sell. Don't be fooled. You have no idea who will show up to move you. That's not good when you pay over $16k! Services

We contracted Safebound Moving and Storage for a 524 mile move. We were **told** everything should be there in 1-5 days but it **could** take up to 10. When I was emailed the "Bill of Lading" I was pressured to sign it quickly as the person was waiting on the phone and was "leaving" shortly. I should have read the "fine" print where it says they have up to 30 "Business" days to deliver the goods, and their promises mean nothing. It turns out from the pickup, which happened with a company called Knights Moving and Storage, all the items were taken to an "undisclosed" warehouse, where they sat. Attempts to get an estimated delivery date over the next few weeks were answered with "we don't have an update" to "we don't have any drivers" to "everything should be there early next week" which then did not happen.

Everything was picked up on Jan 30th, and was not delivered until Feb 26th. When it WAS delivered, there were a number of "broken" tubs and containers as they had been stacked inappropriately. One was so smashed they had tossed all the items into a cardboard box. After I went to social media with some negative reviews, I received a call offering $250 for the "poor experience" that did not represent their normal service. Then they sent over an agreement - to get the $250, I had to agree to basically remove ALL negative posts and not put up any more. I said forget it - it was an entire page that said they could sue us if we posted ANY negative information about the company. I said forget it - they can keep the $250 and I'm here to warn anyone, Do NOT use this company.

I almost signed the contract and paid the deposit but 2 things bothered me. AJ asked me to send the deposit via Zelle rather than a company portal. And the Safebound estimate came via a Gmail account. Grateful we missed this bullet.
