Safebound Moving really came through for me. Moving is stressful enough, but moving the kids back into their house after their mom died was next level. Safebound kept me updated as my move date approached. They showed on time, the 3 movers (Richard, Ray, Mynor) were friendly, professional, careful, fast, and there were no moving day charges that suddenly appeared. If I ever move again, Safebound is a no-brainer.
We're so sorry for your loss, and thank you for trusting us during such a difficult time. Richard, Ray and Mynor will be glad to know they helped make things a little easier. Our thoughts are with you and the kids, and we're here if you ever need anything.

Ariel and his crew did a great job. Not only unloading, but paying attention to detail...e.g. made sure that my floors and door jams were protected... Bravo.
Bravo right back at you, thank you! Protecting floors and door jams is the kind of detail that separates a good move from a great one, and Ariel's crew never skips it. Glad it showed!

Yep. Feel free to verify, but I never leave a one star review. It takes a serious about of disrespect and disservice to bring me to this level. BLUF: Get another company. Let's start with the setup. Everything over the phone went smooth, made sense, and we even "overestimated" the cost. So there it was, a huge chunk of money set aside to take this stuff not very far. But, that's fine because these guys are "professionals", right?
Then the day of the move... For an agency that is specifically stated as not being a broker, they hired someone else to move my stuff... And the other movers just did not care about any of my stuff. Yes it needed packing, but it was literally all in a climate controlled storage unit, organized. Brass units that I asked to be handled with care we're put under a tow hitch, not even separated, just tossed in there. Boxes marked "fragile" were haphazardly placed at the bottom of a stack and then they shoved a dolly under them to move the stack. I get it, things gotta move, but care about what you're moving.
Next, the schedule said it'd arrive within ten days. That was perfect because I was scheduled to fly internationally in 11 days. So I prepped the storage unit I needed it in. I spent the money. Then I waited... And waited... And flew out 11 days later with them telling me it was on its way. Then yesterday I get a call saying it will be here today... Go figure. They called after the banks were closed, before I could get a money order out and we're scheduled to show up even without me being able to confirm that I would have a representative available to receive the shipment...
And that leads me to the cost. We "overestimated" that cost, but everything just kept ballooning and increasing. It went from maybe a 6k quote to costing nearly 10k to go less than 600 miles. It didn't fill half of a 26 foot truck... Oh by the way, they didn't tell me their revised "estimate" until it was on the truck. If they had, I'd have told them to leave it in the storage unit. Bring some family down with a U-HAUL and pay each of them $1000 and it still would have been cheaper. They charged me an extra 100$ because they had to wait an hour for the banks to open... It's not my fault that you didn't give me a reasonable heads up or the exact dollar amount you needed for compensation until immediately prior to arrival.
What was the real cost? A broken grandfather clock with irreplaceable damage, boxes that I don't dare look in yet because they've been crushed and a one of a kind, hand-made wooden and wrought iron table that's been gouged so badly a woodworker said he'd have to epoxy fill it because he couldn't take it down that far without ruining the table... Priceless amounts of damage. When I return to the United States later this month, there will be repercussions when I can finally put my hands on everything and go through every box. I'm sorry that I ever hired this company and when someone else showed up, I should've fired them on the spot. I trusted Safe Bound, but they didn't even do the work.
Crossed one state line, I did half of the disassembly myself, and they charged me extra for it. They charged me because they took my stuff to Maryland. That wasn't in my contract. They charged me because they had to wait, that wasn't in my contract. They have me short notice for shipment (which, fun fact, says it'll arrive within 6-10 business days in the message, then they tried calling me that evening dating it'll be there tomorrow), that wasn't in the contract. The amount of stress and pain I've had to endure for this... Not in the contract.
If you want to see what terms they violated specifically, please send me a DM. I'll be happy to share all the pictures privately as this will be reviewed by the appropriate authorities. Unfortunately, they did have me sign a damage waiver before I left, so the materials damaged, yep, I get $0.60 per pound of what was damaged.

Would NOT recommend. They were definitely not the cheapest and we thought that meant we could have confidence in our belongings being taken care of. We were very wrong. They cut corners that ultimately damaged many of our belongings. They didn’t label the majority of boxes so unpacking was a nightmare. They lost several boxes. All of our kids' clothing is gone. We will never get to see our youngest in his brothers’ clothes. Those keepsakes are gone forever. They lost items from our first son who died. Family heirlooms that have made overseas trips were destroyed. It’s been months and we still have not received any funds for the insurance claim we submitted (and it will cost significantly more to replace items than what we will get if the money ever comes through).
Setting up the move went well. The packers made some odd choices but it seemed to go smoothly. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. It’s been such a heartbreaking experience to trust them with our belongings and spend so much money only to have them destroy and lose so many items without as much as an apology.

Was told two weeks from pick up date. I let it go to three with no communication whatsoever. When I finally called they said it's 30 days from pickup. They are also a broker. After they pick your belongings up they will change hands to different carriers several times. The picture attached is what they make you sign after they have your possessions before they will deliver a month later.

This company is a criminal enterprise. I cannot believe so many people including myself were scammed and ripped off and damaged by these people. We need to file a class action suit. There is more than enough evidence to file such a case. Our story is like a horror nightmare that you would never want to live again. These people will continue to operate if they're allowed to get away with it. They must be stopped! Class action suit is the way to do it and although it might take some time, it will cause a lot of issues for them. And they need to pay for what they did to all of us. We will be reaching out through legal channels. Please join in.
Deceitful business practices, price gouging the night before pick up is scheduled, putting your stuff in storage without authorization, lying about delivery dates, absolute lack of communication, damage to home at pickup and delivery, items damaged, and destroyed, and unloading 1:00 a.m., opening up boxes that smell like urine, wardrobe boxes flipped upside down, fragile statements totally disregarded, and items just stacked haphazardly wherever the movers decided they wanted to put them. And their subcontractor Rigos Delivery is another criminally operated organization. They may not even be operating legally. I can't even post all of the pictures, because there are too many, but yes this is what they left in my driveway after they decided they were done at 1:00 a.m.
These people are brokers. And they lie outright and say they are not. That's why the experience is such a nightmare. Like I said, they need to be stopped! I don't know how these people can sleep at night. Doing what they do to people. They need to be shut down for good! And the owners should be prosecuted for criminal behavior and activity. Their names are Mike ** and Felipe **. They need to take responsibility for the damage that they have caused to all of us.

Very disappointed with this moving company. I was promised affordable pricing, excellent service, and a 3 man crew for my move from Florida to Kentucky this past April. Instead, only 2 movers showed up, a job estimated at 3 hours took 7, and I was charged an additional $2,000 for items that were "not on the list". After providing my closing date well in advance, my belongings did not arrive until 14 days after I moved into my new home, leaving me living out of a suitcase and sleeping on an air mattress with my 2 dogs.
The delivery day was even more concerning. The company sent workers who were not employees, a fact that was never disclosed to me. One appeared unprofessional and smelled like alcohol. Several of my belongings arrived damaged, broken, or missing and I am still seeking compensation. Communication was poor throughout the entire process. Calls were rarely returned, and I was repeatedly told, "We will call you," without receiving updates. Safebound did not deliver on its promises and did not stand behind its guarantees. I would not recommend them.

I would 100% NOT recommend this moving company. Tl;dr they lost two (2) of my expensive framed art pieces; damaged multiple pieces of furniture; delivered someone's else's table top to me (and have not made any effort to retrieve it); charged me for a shuttle to deliver my items to NYC without ever using one; and have since GHOSTED me since bringing these issues to their attention. I used Safebound for my move from Florida to New York in April 2026. The pre-booking process was easy, the prices seemed competitive, and the sales team was communicative (albeit very pushy to get me to sign a contract, which in hindsight should've been a red flag).
Problems arose day of my move when the movers told me I had more stuff than estimated (even though I did a complete walk through with Safebound on Facetime) and that I would likely need to pay $500-1K more. Of course, I could have said no but it was the day of my move, what am I left to do??? Thankfully, after a lot of haggling and back and forth, I did not end up paying more. The biggest issues arose, however, when they delivered my items to me. I was missing TWO framed art pieces, worth over $600, and my large wall mirror and another furniture item was damaged and/or completely destroyed. They also delivered me someone else's glass table top. Lastly, I noticed that they the movers did not use a shuttle, despite Safebound charging me $400 (!!) for one because they claimed their normal trucks cannot fit in the NYC streets.
While I understand mistakes can happen in a move, it's how Safebound handled my issues (or, better yet, how they failed to address my issues) after the move. I brought the missing items, incorrect item, damaged/destroyed items, and the shuttle charge issues to their attention. I called them over 10 times to figure something out -- where is my stuff? Who's stuff do I have and what do I do with it?? Why was I charged for a shuttle?? They kept saying they would get back to me, that they would look into this for me, but then would never follow up. I had to re-explain my situation to a new person almost each time I called. At the time of writing this review, their customer service team has completely stopped answering my emails.
I rarely go out of my way to right reviews, let alone negative ones, but Safebound's complete lack of communication and unwillingness to assist me has left me no other option. I've also used movers for other long-distance moves in the past so I know this is not normal or acceptable behavior for a moving company. Do not be fooled and please one of the many other moving companies out there. While their rates may seem competitive, you will end up spending more, either because they lose or destroy your items, upcharge you the day of the move (leaving you with no other option), or even charge you for add-on services that they do not provide.

I'm a military service member with over 12 years of active duty, and I grew up in a military family before that. Between my childhood and career, I've been through at least 15 to 20 moves. This was, without question, the worst moving experience I have ever had — and the most expensive. We chose Safebound specifically because of their high reviews and their promises during the sales process. We were told they would not use subcontractors, that their crews were professionals, and that we would receive white-glove service including full disassembly and reassembly of furniture. We accepted their price, which was two to four times higher than other local quotes, because we believed we were paying for quality. That is not what we received.
On the day of the move, the team lead called to say they would be two hours late because they were coming from Atlanta. We had a tight timeline but had no choice. When they arrived, the team lead was immediately rude and unprofessional — not just to us, but to his own crew. Multiple workers actually apologized to me and my wife for his behavior. One worker left in the middle of the job because he refused to continue working with this individual. At one point, I found myself arguing with the team lead on my front lawn about how our belongings should be handled. He also argued directly with my wife, which was completely unacceptable. I called the operations manager to intervene. He apologized but nothing changed.
Additional workers showed up that we did not request or approve, and they were subcontractors — the very thing we were promised would not happen. None of the workers, including the team lead, wore any sort of company uniform. They were in street clothes. Some of the subcontractors smelled like **. These are strangers entering our home where our children live. The quality of work was terrible. Furniture that was reassembled was done improperly. Screws were stripped and lost on two of our children's beds, and we were not told about it. I had to drive to a hardware store that evening to buy replacement screws so my kids had safe beds to sleep in. They also refused to move items that had been previously discussed and included in our agreement. We were charged more than our original quote and billed for the additional subcontracted workers we never approved.
The job took hours longer than it should have and ran late into the evening. Despite not finishing all of the quoted work, the team lead began aggressively pressuring us for payment. They refused to accept a debit or credit card. Payment had to be made through Zelle or cash only. When the Zelle transfer failed — because the platform has standard limits on new connections and high-dollar transactions — the pressure intensified. I ended up having to go to an ATM after 10 PM to withdraw $1,000 in cash because they would not accept any other form of payment for a $4,000 job. Being forced into untraceable payment methods for a transaction this large is a serious red flag.
They did not finish the work. They told us we would need to pay for their hotel so they could return the next morning to complete the job. We refused. We should not be financially responsible for their inability to manage time and staffing. There is damage to our home and furniture from the move. Despite knowing the job was incomplete and despite two separate calls I made to complain about the team lead's behavior, neither the operations manager nor the salesperson has followed up. No one has reached out. If you value professionalism, completed work, honest pricing, proper handling of your belongings, and basic accountability, do not use this company. The promises made during the sales process were not honored in any meaningful way. This has been a nightmare from start to finish, and I could not regret this decision more.

I want to share my experience with Safebound Moving & Storage so that other consumers can make an informed decision. I hired Safebound to pack and move my household belongings across the country. Based on the quote I received, my employer approved the relocation expense. However, when the movers arrived, I was informed that the original quote was only an estimate and that the actual cost would be thousands of dollars higher than what I had been quoted. It’s important to note that I was misquoted following a video call that took place for the Safebound team to see my place and provide me with that original estimate. In addition to the unexpected increase in cost, several serious issues occurred during my move:
• My e-bike was lost during transit and was not located or returned to me for several months.
• Three televisions that were packed and transported by the moving company arrived with significant damage. All three screens were cracked in multiple places and were unusable.
• My bed frame, ottoman, wine rack, brand new mini fridge, standing gold floor lamp, and coffee table were damaged during the move. When I filed claims, I was informed that the company would not take responsibility because the items were not made of solid wood and, according to their position, should have been moved disassembled (you can read the details in the claims document I’ve attached).
What was most disappointing was the resolution process. Rather than fully addressing the loss and damage to my belongings, I was offered $500 in exchange for signing an agreement that would prevent me, my family, and my friends from discussing or sharing our experience publicly. I declined that offer. Moving across the country is stressful enough without unexpected charges, lost property, damaged belongings, and a difficult claims process. I encourage anyone considering this company to thoroughly review all contract terms, ask detailed questions about pricing, valuation coverage, claims procedures, and dispute resolution before committing. I’ve attached the “offer” they provided me and also some photos of the damages as a result of this company packing and moving my items. This review reflects my personal experience and is shared to help other consumers make an informed decision.

I felt like I was being pushed for a sale right from the beginning. I received several calls from the salesperson to try to get my business. I asked if the company serviced the area I lived in and where my items would be stored for the next day delivery. The company serviced my area but didn’t have a warehouse in the area I lived in. From what I understand, the company drove my items all the way to the parent company in West Palm Beach. I would have used someone local had I known this. I was told my items would be delivered the next day by the salesman and this was not true. Also, tried to deliver my items 2 days later with a late arrival.
The customer service and sales team need work. The actual movers were amazing. I had a few broken items but they worked so hard it didn’t matter to me. I recommend the movers but do your research before hiring this company. I was not happy with the sales team and customer service team at all. I feel the movers are overworked. I later found out I was charged a fee I thought was company surcharge and it was gas surcharge. Misrepresented. I spent a lot of money to move 200 miles away. I don’t like to give bad reviews but do your research before hiring this company and read everything.

My initial contact with the Safebound employees was courteous and professional. I received a reasonable estimate based on my description and photos of the household goods. I then paid a 1/3 deposit via credit card. The moving crew arrived and the estimate was adjusted upward slightly. The crew was professional and did a great job wrapping up everything. I paid another 1/3 via Venmo. Not my choice for payment but the sub-contractor would not accept a credit card. Everything went south when it came time to deliver. A week later I was contacted by the delivery driver who planned to deliver the next day between 1-5 pm. He finally arrived at 8:30 pm. The apartment building would not allow the delivery at that late hour. The driver informed me that returning the next day would cost an additional $500.
The driver arrived at 9 am the next morning and demanded an additional $500, above the already agreed upon $500, for an "extended carry fee". Basically, he was demanded more money to unload the truck and "carry" the goods inside. I refused to pay any more than the agreed amount. The driver did not accept Venmo or credit cards but instead insisted on cash, Zelle, or cash app. He did unload and was polite and courteous. I initially contracted with what I thought was a professional moving company but was left to deal independently with 2nd party sub-contractors who tried aggressively to inflate the final cost. The multiple payment methods required was a ridiculous complication. The aggressive cost inflation attempts were very uncomfortable. It was not a pleasant experience, and I would not recommend or use this company again. There are better options.

SafeBound reached out and made it right.
Original Review: April 7, 2026
I wrote a review when they picked up my stuff, the guy said if I gave him a 5 star he wouldn’t charge me extra to wrap my stuff. Little did I know. I wrote the review, bought their lunches, drinks, snacks, made sure they were good the entire time. They took all day, ok, but there were 4 of them granted only 2 of them actually loaded anything up, “the boss” was in the truck the entire time. Came out once to grab food, and then at the very end when he had me sign everything. All the paperwork was was completely disorganized, not legible at all, but, there were a lot of good reviews, so what’s the worst that could happen…
1 week later they delivered my stuff, and one by one things started coming off the truck smashed, scratched, broken, or not even on the truck. 72” Broyhill electric fireplace with TV stand smashed to bits, they took off the base and stood it on its side, and it folded like an accordion, artwork scratched, crystal wine glasses broken, every leg on all my end tables were broken, the rocker part of my kids' rocking chair, they tried taking it apart maybe, broken where it connects. Bend the legs off the bottom of my son’s dresser, the bolts were bent and the wood was all marred.
The list goes on and on, a total of 60 plus items damaged. That is not including the items that are just missing, I submitted the claim, and they came back with a refund of 93 dollars… I don’t care what you do, use them, don’t use them, they may be good next time. Idk, but this place is not a place I will ever use again, nor will l let any of my friends or family use them. The fact that they offered me 93 dollars after all that is a joke. It If I could rate less than 1 I would.

He kept telling me there may not be enough room in the truck over and over. I moved from Colorado to Florida.
After the movers left and a week of not hearing from anyone I called safebound and they said it would be another 7-10 days and gave me a bs story of moving my stuff onto another truck. The next day the moving company they hired called and said he would be here the following day on Easter Sunday. He said they dont observe holidays. When i was thinking about storage, safebound told me last minute that my things would not be in their storage facility like they said before I paid my deposit. It would be in someone else's facility. Do they do any of their own moving and storage or are they just middlemen salespeople? I had high hopes for safebound. They really know how to sell. Don't be fooled. We contracted Safebound Moving and Storage for a 524 mile move. We were **told** everything should be there in 1-5 days but it **could** take up to 10. When I was emailed the "Bill of Lading" I was pressured to sign it quickly as the person was waiting on the phone and was "leaving" shortly. I should have read the "fine" print where it says they have up to 30 "Business" days to deliver the goods, and their promises mean nothing. It turns out from the pickup, which happened with a company called Knights Moving and Storage, all the items were taken to an "undisclosed" warehouse, where they sat. Attempts to get an estimated delivery date over the next few weeks were answered with "we don't have an update" to "we don't have any drivers" to "everything should be there early next week" which then did not happen.
Everything was picked up on Jan 30th, and was not delivered until Feb 26th. When it WAS delivered, there were a number of "broken" tubs and containers as they had been stacked inappropriately. One was so smashed they had tossed all the items into a cardboard box. After I went to social media with some negative reviews, I received a call offering $250 for the "poor experience" that did not represent their normal service. Then they sent over an agreement - to get the $250, I had to agree to basically remove ALL negative posts and not put up any more. I said forget it - it was an entire page that said they could sue us if we posted ANY negative information about the company. I said forget it - they can keep the $250 and I'm here to warn anyone, Do NOT use this company.

I almost signed the contract and paid the deposit but 2 things bothered me. AJ asked me to send the deposit via Zelle rather than a company portal. And the Safebound estimate came via a Gmail account. Grateful we missed this bullet.

My movers were great and Kent at Safebound was excellent. They had great communication and showed up on time. It was a lot of stuff and they handled things with care. I would use them again if I need help moving.
Glad everything went smooth! Kent takes great care of his customers and the crews back it up on moving day. Thanks for the review!

A couple minor hiccups but all in all I had a great experience with Safebound. They were punctual, professional and courteous. If I did have an issue, customer service responded immediately and handled the situation. The guys who unloaded the truck were so fun to work with. You could tell they had a wonderful working relationship. Here’s a thumbs up to AJ, Patrick, Zac, Randy, and a special thanks to Richard, Steve and Mike. Thanks guys!
Thank you for this! No move is perfect, but responding fast and making things right when hiccups happen is what we care about most, so we're glad customer service came through. AJ, Patrick, Zac, Randy, Richard, Steve and Mike will love the shoutout. That crew chemistry is real and it makes every job better. Thanks for rolling with us!

Unfortunately I can’t rate this whatever u wanna call it a 0000 and never would I put a start behind them. THE BIGGEST SCAMMER I’ve ever felt with DONT FALL FOR THE FACETIME CRAP AJ the representative for my load MISSED half of my home on a hour FaceTime! I was charged for everything he so called didn’t see on our hour FaceTime. Please believe once they walk in before they touch anything they will add thousands of dollars worth of things.
I had to leave a desk they missed, a wall mounted fireplace and a 55 inch tv one stand with four draws because for those items they wanted a extra $2400 on top of the $2,689 I was charged. They will charger you for all of AJ mistake. My items was a day late after they literally gave me a date my items were picked up from Michigan January 30th didn’t get to Tx til February 18th. You do the math. The GM Zac ** is absolutely trash as aGM and I can understand from his behavior why this company sucks so bad… CHECK THE COMPLAINT, NOT REVIEWS FROM THIS COMPANY AND USE AT YOUR OWN RISK…

I am rating their customer service as a one. (I would rate the actual moving people as a 4). I was referred to them to move a grandfather clock locally. The 'estimator' CHRIS quoted $999 which included 3 hours of time for THREE people, PLUS charges for one hour of travel, a clock technician charge, and an 'operational charge.' When I asked if this was a flat rate, they said no, it was an hourly rate based on 3 hour minimum. I had no idea what was involved. I had to rely on their estimate that it would take THREE people. Clearly that was an upsell to inflate the price. But, of course I didn't know that. I was floored by the estimate so in order to be sure that it wouldn't end up costing more, I asked for a flat rate and was offered a flat $1000. The original contract had the specifics, but the document I signed only stated that a clock was being moved, without detail.
When the truck showed up, there were only TWO people. Had the original quote stated two people, the cost would have been about $240 less and had I negotiated a flat rate, it would have been based on that. I emailed the original estimator person who kicked it 'upstairs.' A person (ZACK, I think) called me and was extremely rude, would not let me explain why I thought the fee was unfair, but he continued to talk over me even while I asked him to stop and listen. He continually told me I signed a contract. I maintained that the estimate and the agreed amount was based on more workers than were sent by the company; but he wouldn't listen. Even the driver could hear this guy speaking loudly and not stopping when I asked him to listen.
This is poor customer service. Making a small consideration in the price would have been in order or a polite person who validated my concern. But, they had my clock on the truck and wouldn't bring it in until I paid the full amount. So, I did. I sent a follow up email and received even a ruder reply. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I feel sorry for their actual moving staff. They were polite, nice, and handled my clock carefully. However, although the person who was the clock tech handled the moving parts well and reinstalled them, I had to ask her to set the time and then after she left, it wasn't keeping time. I realized that she hadn't started the pendulum. Once that was done, it worked perfectly. Since there was a separate fee for a clock tech, wouldn't you think they would know to start the clock??
