The Safe Step tub has been good so far. My husband had a bath in it, then I did, and we both came out alive. The salesman said he was gonna put aromatherapy in that one slot but he didn't, so we don't know now what to put in there and how much it would cost. Then the first time, it was very difficult for us to get anything out of it. I couldn't get the back jets on because I didn't know how. The tub is fine but the people that put them in needed to spend another minute with us to give good directions on how to use it. Also, my husband would like to know why we only got $1500 off when he saw an ad where they gave $2000 off. But we recommend Safe Step to everybody.

Safe Step has a lot of benefits and offered a lifetime warranty. They had extra things like the heated seat and the oxygen water. I wasn't quite familiar about the tub and I had to see the neighbor because I couldn't get the sprayer to work. To start with, Safe Step left me a manual for the old tub. I then called and they mailed me a manual for this updated tub. There are a lot of things that I've got to figure out and I've called them but they haven't called me back. But once I get a chance to read the manual and study, I'll just sit and play in there and get familiar with the tub.
I would recommend Safe Step. The sales reps had been really nice and the installers were very good. They did the installation quickly, cleaned up their mess, were very courteous, and showed me how to work the tub. They worked very efficiently and worked right through until they got it installed. I was very pleased with them.

My wife preferred Safe Step. When we got our tub, Dave who was our sales rep was very knowledgeable and courteous. The installation team was also very proficient and very good in everything. They did a super job. My wife is doing pretty good with the tub. She can get in and out of it and I don't have to hear her complain. We don’t have any problems and we’re very satisfied with Safe Step. It has been a very enjoyable experience with them and would recommend them to somebody else.

We are very pleased with the tub, my partner has a prosthetic leg and it was getting harder for him to get in and out of the tub, now he has no problem. Also for the customer from Tennessee that wrote in on April 26th, if you buy a cloth inner shower curtain it can be cut to a shorter length so your husband can use it for a shower. I cut mine about 8 inches down from the top of tub, it stays inside and we have no problems using the shower head. I hope you see this and it helps you out.

Safe Step's tub was 100% guaranteed and I liked its features. Since my son and I have arthritis, I thought it would help us a lot. My son's also got Down Syndrome and he really enjoys that bath. He does feel a lot better after using the tub, but he's still going to have a hip operation because he has a whole lot of difficulty walking with the right leg. The tub helps him a lot since he's able to open and close the bathtub and he is so happy. He enjoys sitting in it and looks forward to his bubble bath. He even raves about it and goes down to his sister's house to tell her all about it.
But one Sunday night when I was downstairs attending my animals, I found a whole lot of water on top of a little storage table that I had and discovered a leak from the re-installation of the sink or the toilet bowl. It had been accidentally leaking for quite a while because I had a pile of newspapers in that room and they were wet. It was also starting to smell kind of nasty and funky. I always check under the tub and there was no leak there. The workmanship in the bathroom was great, but I have never checked the far side of the room on the outer wall until I turned on that light and it started to smell kind of musty down there. So I was going to call them. Anybody can make a mistake and open up something. You can't foretell a leak. So they still did an excellent and beautiful job. We love our tub and it makes us feel so much better.

I needed a tub for my mom and Safe Step was the best one to get. It turned out it was the right decision made. Their sales rep was well-informed and personable. He did a very good job of explaining the benefits of the tub and wasn't pushy. The installation team was professional, very courteous and did a good job as well.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Safe Step tub and when I got a coupon for $2,000 off from the AARP magazine, I decided to do it. Their sales rep was very informative and I had a great experience with the installation guys. I was laying the floor in my spare bathroom while they were doing the tub, and they did their thing while I did mine. They were done when I finished and everything was perfect after the installation.
I love our Safe Step walk-in tub. When I’m getting ready to bathe, sometimes I don’t fill it all the way up, I just use the shower head and wash depending on how much time I have. The heated seats are great because we like our house cool at night. I then turn the heated seats on before I get in and it makes it a lot more comfortable. I’m still young, and I got the tub to anticipate when we might really need it more than we do now, but we are enjoying it as it is. My husband and I use it for our aches and pains, and it helps on that. It's also like having a hot tub inside instead of having to worry about that outside the house. We’ve recommended it to several people and showed it to those who come and visit and we are enjoying it.

There’s a lot of info available about Safe Step. I’m a disabled veteran and the VA offered to pay for part of it. Rochelle, the sales rep, was really informative. The installers were quick, efficient and quiet. They were in and out, and everything went really well. I have less aches and pains since I got the tub. I go through this pain every day but the tub helps relieve some of that. I love the jets.

My husband doesn't walk too well and we wanted a tub where he could walk in it, so we purchased a Safe Step Tub. Their sales representative was very nice, courteous and answered all of our questions. Then the installation team who came out was very good. However, the drain didn't work properly so I haven't used the tub since. It would not open for me until it finally went conk-conk and opened. It was something that had to fall into place before it worked properly. But aside from that, we've been very satisfied with our experience with Safe Step.

I heard a lot about Safe Step through different people and we thought we might as we’ll try it. We did and we like it. I have severe rheumatoid arthritis and I like to be in warm water so I enjoy it. I like to sit in it. Usually we’re very dry but right now we have a lot more moisture. My husband enjoys it very much, too. We love our walk-in tub. We’re really not sorry that we got it.

I had known about Safe Step Walk-in Tubs for a long time. When I found some advertisements for it, I called them in December to see how much it would cost. I kept putting them off until March because I had things going on and I couldn’t get to that, but the Safe Step sales reps kept calling me. They did not just leave me holding and waiting to hear from them, so that was good. The guys who came to install were really great. The tub costs too much, but I enjoy it. I like the micro bubbles which seem to really help my skin.

Our Safe Step walk-in tub is mostly for my father. He is a very large man and the way the tub's door is shaped makes it easier for him to get in and out. I’ve also used the tub once since I’ve gotten it and I like the heated seat. We haven’t been able to use the back jets yet because we got to get a new hot water tank, but overall, the tub is doing good for my dad's legs. The tub was a little expensive, but it was well worth it as far as I’m concerned.
The sales rep at Safe Step was very kind. He spent two hours with us going through everything. My mom was there during the installation and she said that the guys who came out were very nice gentlemen. In addition, I talked to the big guy at the factory. He called me a couple of different times. Everybody that we had any interaction with was very kind.

My wife wanted one of those walk-in tubs because she and I both need it. I'm on a walker. So we bought one of these $12,000 tubs from Safe Step and we've been in it one time each. It's a good-looking tub but that's a lot of money to go bathe in one time.

Safe Step was fantastic. The installation team had to take out an outside wall to put the tub in and they did their job in a day. I was very happy with it. They also cleaned up the whole nine yards. The heated seat is great. I can now sit down and take a shower.

I had called Premier but they never got back to me. When I saw the advertisement for Safe Step, I called them and it was good from there. The sales rep told us everything we needed to know and the people who did the installation were very nice and accommodating. They finished in no time. Afterwards, they showed me how it worked. I like the seat and the shower. I've enjoyed it and feel safer.

I called Safe Step because they were dependable and their product was good. My tub is convenient for me and I'm able to take a shower again. I had a few ups and downs with their reps, but their installation team was great.

The rep at Safe Step seemed to be knowledgeable and cordial. However, the price was never revealed until the end of the presentation. He also hit me with a $19,000 price tag then gave me all these big discounts and got it down to $16,000. I thought he was trying to sincerely give me a good price. I told him it was out of my price range but he assured me he could get me financed, so I ended up signing everything and taking the deal.
Installation was within a week or two. The installers cut into my doorway to take the old tub out and put the new tub in. They spent about seven hours putting it in and didn't do a very good job because there are gouges and holes in the wall beside the tub in one area. My doorway looks terrible now. There's a big gap where they tried to put my doorway back together. The door sticks and makes all kinds of racket. I didn't expect them to be finish carpenters, but I expected it to be the best it could be done in a rough way. My floor is always wet too. I use the tub every day as a shower and that's when it happens.
There's a lot of things that I'm not happy with. I mainly got the tub for my wife because she's paralyzed on her right side and she hasn't been able to take a bath in it because she can't sit on the seat that long. I can't also get it filled for her as it takes too long. When I researched about the water leaking over and soaking the floor, I stumbled upon the fact that there are different prices and I paid on the highest end. I'm very unhappy with that because it's a real financial burden. If I were happy with everything, I would at least feel that it's worth it. However, the fact that we're not able to use it and they overcharged me by $6,000, I feel like I've been taken advantage of.
The potential is there. The product is a decent one, but I feel like we've been overcharged and no one cares whether we use it or not. There is a manager at Tennessee who didn't seem concerned, trying to tell me that I can find any kind of price I want online. The fact is, it was all Safe Step that I was looking at. I wasn't looking at anyone else's. The sales rep gave me the $19,000 and they kept taking it down. I did not realize that it's basically whatever I can negotiate and it's not a set price.

I like the layout of the jets and the look of the display and Safe Step is close to home, so we opted to buy our walk-in tub from them. Their sales rep and the team that did the install were fantastic! The installation team was very courteous and efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. A thing about it is that you should remember to lock the door down. My wife almost drowned when the door was not sealed and it went all over the floor. But other than that, I like the electronic display on the front and the little dials, we also like the convenience of being able to walk into the tub.

The tub from Safe Step works fine though I'm the only one who is using it. My wife is very big and I'm not sure if she'll fit in. She's very intimidated by the fit. I enjoy the tub, but the problem is I tend to fill it higher than it's supposed to be. There's no line saying "Do not fill beyond this point." Then I find out it's squirting all over the place. Another problem we have is with the outside. One of the covers keeps falling off. It seems to be missing a magnet in one of the holes there, or that the magnet wasn't glued in properly. But if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't spend this kind of money on a tub.

We like our Safe Step tub. We love the feel of it when we sit in it for a long time and just soak and get the jets going. However, the commode then was leaking and they removed and replaced it. Installation was sort of shoddy when they had to take it out to get the tub in and when they put it back, it wasn't back right so it leaked. Also, they told us that a 40-gallon water heater was enough but it's not. The information that was given about the type of tank we have was not true and that was misrepresentation.

Safe Step's overall ratings, their safety features, and the overall company made me decide to buy our walk-in tub from them. Talking to the sales rep was a long but pleasant meeting. I felt no pressure. He showed us the product and how he worked with the VA. The installation guys came and did their job and left. I had a problem the next day and they came out, came back and they pushed the button on my outlet, and then they fixed it and left. It had nothing to do with the tub. I just had to reset it. I like that I can stretch my legs and back with it. I like all the tubs features especially the jets. The tub helps with my back pains.

I've had my Safe Step tub a little over a month and I like it. I also like the lights and I enjoy the jacuzzi which I only use several times a month. The lady sales rep and the installers have been very nice. I'm getting used to the brochure I have and I have to get in the tub to really understand what to do. Also, they said I could do two or three levels in this tub and I didn't have to fill it up full which I didn't understand why. I'll get back in my guidebook and figure it out.
On the other hand, there was some wall issue with the sheetrock where it's very evident that it split. The installers did some patching but they didn't patch it up level with the sheetrock so it's messy-looking. They told me that one of the gentlemen would come back to fix it but I hadn't heard back from them yet. If we were going to repaint the bathroom, we could fix those places but we didn't have any intentions of painting the bathroom anytime soon. We've been busy with baseball games and one of the guys is coming back on a Saturday. I assumed I'd contact them if they didn't contact me.

I fell twice in my own bathtub and my son said that I've got to get one of these walk-in tubs because it’s easy to just walk in and sit down. I don’t have to lift up or step over the tub. So when the guy from Safe Step came and explained everything about what the tub does and how it works, I thought it would be nice so I got it. The installation team did great and cleaned up after themselves.
I love the tub. I get in it, take my shower, wash my hair and do everything all at the same time. The tub is beautiful and helps me a lot. I don’t have to climb over it. I like the shower head more than anything else. Wherever I put the hose, it goes on me. It's wonderful. A lot of times if I only want to wash my hair, I lean over the tub, turn on the shower head and hang my head over the tub then wash my hair. It doesn't splatter all over. I would recommend Safe Step to anybody.

I read a review for Safe Step on the internet and decided to install their bathtub in my house. I also bought the tub because the sales rep was very good. He explained everything, including other bathtubs, comparisons, and price. The two people who installed it were perfect, too. When they put the tub in, they turned the water off to take care of my house. I work in the night and when I get off for two or three days, I use it and it’s really working well for my health. Now I have no back ache. Walk-in tubs are very safe for old people although the price is a bit high. If it would sell under $10,000, that would be very good.

The sales team was very good and everyday, I called them up asking when the tub's going to get here. The installation team showed me how to work the tub and told me really fast how to do it. But I can't learn so I thought I'd call Mike the person I bought the tub from. The tub takes about two hours to fill. It takes so long to sit there and wait. And when I wash my hair, the tub fills up with shampoo bubbles, with hair bar stuff, the body wash. But still I just need the tub and I love it. I don't fall in the shower any more and I feel great I have it. I wouldn't let it go, although it's a pain in the butt to clean.

I never considered Safe Step until I saw it from the NARFE magazine and thought, "Wow, that looks really cool." That's why I selected it. I love my tub and it makes me feel very good. I like the fact that it has the jets that I can put on my feet when my feet are hurting. The jets get my lower back too, and it feels good and makes me relax more. But the seat's a little hot so I have to turn it off, and the beads that they gave me don't give much of a fragrance at all. When I called, they said to take the beads out and soak them in some water and lavender oil to work better, but that didn't work. I think the beads are just old, and the girl at Safe Step said they had a package in the office that they were gonna send me. Plus the jets are high enough that if you lean forward, it squirts all over the bathroom.
Their installers were very knowledgeable and courteous, and the sales rep was a very nice man. The only thing that I thought was weird was when I called the company about the beads not working, the rep said, "Well, you can buy a whole bottle of them at Bed, Bath & Beyond cheaper than you can buy the other ones." But those are liquid gels and you're not really supposed to use them in a step-in tub. And I almost went that route because of what he told me. I thought well, that gel's gonna leak down inside, so that doesn't make sense to me because the other beads are completely dry.
So then I called again and the other rep told me not to use those, that I had to get special gel beads. So I thought that was kind of strange because I could've ruined the tub. A man told me that I can go to Bed, Bath & Beyond, since they carried them, and Walmart carried them, too. But Bed, Bath & Beyond doesn't have the dry gel beads that you need to put in there with the little puffs of the little mesh bags when there's no gel in there. They're called gel beads but you can't really use the ones with the gel because that would ruin the tub with that leaking down inside. But overall, I've been very pleased with Safe Step. I couldn't have been able to get the tub before but I'm glad I got it now.

The installers were very happy and cheerful. And even if I was in a bad mood, they were still happy and going at it. They had to bust up the concrete bathtub, but they were like, "I'm trying to be quiet." And I said, "It's okay." But here's one downfall to the bathtub that I really care about - I can turn off the jet on the seat, but I can't turn it all the way off so it's still pushing some water out. It feels a little awkward. Still, overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience, that's why we've already recommended it to the neighbors.

The installation people were here longer than I needed them to be here, but they were fine and took every scrap away after finishing work. The tub is too expensive, but it’s a fine piece of equipment. I’ve taken showers my whole life and I’ve never realized that I didn’t feel clean. Now, I feel clean. I thought that buying a Safe Step tub would be a lot easier for my husband because he has a hard time getting around. The rep told us we’d be able to take a shower in the tub. He was a good salesman and a nice person, but he started telling us all this stuff that the tub does. We were glad to see all that stuff that it does because my husband and I both got bad bodies, but we’re used to taking a shower. And I thought my husband could take a shower easier, but we haven’t been able to because we don’t have a curtain rod and we can’t seem to find one. So we’ve been very dissatisfied. For somebody that takes a bath all the time and never takes showers, this would be great for them. But if I had my time to go over, I wouldn’t have gotten it and I would have gotten a big shower. The deal’s $11,000 for something that was not what I thought it was going to be.

It still doesn't shut all the way, but that's okay because John, the guy that's supposed to have been in charge, is going to come out one day and replace that door.
I like the jets at the bottom that help my feet as my toes are numb from neuropathy. Those jets sure bring them back to life. But other than that, I don't see where it does much good. Now that I've got to use the tub a bit, I'm not particularly crazy about it. It takes so long to get enough water in it. If you have to get out for anything, you can't, unless, you let all the water out. Then, you have to fill it up again. So I'm not really pleased with it. It's not as good as I thought it would be, and to me, it turned out to be quite a disappointment.

Whenever possible, I try to keep the money flowing in the country. Safe Step also has a lifetime warranty for as long as I own this unit, which some of the others did not. Then I looked at the aesthetics and for some reason, I liked Safe Step better. I also hate hard sell, and their rep wasn't like that. The rep just went through the benefits of having a unit like this. I like the price, too.
The installation team was great and very professional. They removed my old tub and took it away without any additional fees. They did a wonderful job of making sure that it didn’t look like a Tom and Jerry type of finish. When they left, they picked up all the trash that was a result of the installation. The unit has been absolutely wonderful. We like it. I try to use it at least once a week, but my husband uses it more often. My favorite is the shower head. I can take a shower in it if I want to, as opposed to having to only take sit-down baths. It comes with a bidet which is great and I like the heated seat, too. My husband's favorites are the jets and the microbubbles. We have recommended Safe Step tub to our friends.

My granddaughter and my daughter purchased Safe-Step Walk-in tub so I wouldn't fall getting in the tub. I was just listening to the sales representative and he was pretty good. He explained everything. The installation team was wonderful, too. They'd done such a beautiful job putting it in. I couldn't believe they could take down my old shower as fast as they did, but they were through before dark. I love the looks of it and my daughter filled it up one time so I know what it can do. Since I fill the tub up, my water bill started jumping over $50 so I should quit doing that. It takes too much water at this time and I can't just fill the tub up just for me since I live here by myself. One time, I had it half full and it sprayed all over the bathroom but that was my fault. So I just take a shower in there which is my favorite feature. It just take me longer to take a shower.

My husband and I learned about Safe Step from the American Legion Club. We were concerned about the leakage around the tub and they swore that we'll never get a leakage. So, they vouched for it. Their sales rep was very respectful and accommodating on whatever questions we had. He answered them upfront. Their installation team was professional, too. When we had a little crack in the tub, we called up the company and they came out within 24 hours to repair it. We haven't used it long enough, but my 86-year-old husband has been using it more often than I do because he needs it. He likes everything about it. He's more relaxed and he said his skin is much clearer.

We bought a Safe Step walk-in tub since we like its features. The rep spent a lot of time showing us all the information and answering questions, and the installers were all professional, listened to what we had to say, and let us try it out before they finished up. My wife uses it as a shower and she sits on the heated tub. We're enjoying it. We like it and all the different features - the jets, the foam, the part that helps with psoriasis, and the bubbles. We're using everything. We've only used it a few times, and we're going to have to get a larger hot water heater. We've had an excellent experience.

My wife had some strokes last year and that’s the reason we got the Safe Step Walk-in Tub. The first time my wife used it, she didn’t get the door closed all the way and it took down our living room and dining room ceilings. It was about $10,000 worth of damage. It was really bad. She had to be really motivated to use it a lot. She’s a little bit afraid of it. Other than that, we like the tub's bubbles and the action that it has and the placement of the jets – those are all very good. We don’t like how long it takes to fill, though. I need to get in and take a bath and the filling takes quite a bit of time. In addition, the sales guys were very professional and helpful as far as talking about the tub and its installation. Their installers were very good, very thorough, and they did a nice, clean job.

We called Safe Step, a man came out and we liked their product. The sales rep was pleasant and informative. The couple who came to install it were very kind, nice people. I had only a standup shower before and my husband had huge tub in his bathroom, a Jacuzzi. I could get in but I couldn’t get out. I really wanted to be able to take a bath. I like the tub that I got from Safe Step and it was nice. My husband tried it out last night for the first time and he liked it too. One thing though, the caulking, in a couple of places, needs to be redone. Overall experience was very good and positive. We were very impressed with all the people that we talked to.

Since I started using the walk-in tub, I noticed that a few aches and pains have become lesser. The tub is relaxing and something that I needed. I also love the hot seat. I told them what I was interested in and they called me back immediately and sent somebody out here. They were very responsive. And the tub is easy to keep clean. I’m a satisfied customer of Safe Step. I was going to explore other tub companies, but their salesman was pretty strong on letting me know that Safe Step was one of the best tubs there was and that it was American-made. However, the price is going to be hard on me. It was more expensive than I ever imagined, but I signed the paperwork when the salesman came out and never actually got other quotes on tubs. I love the whole thing and all the features but I haven’t been able to use its aromatherapy yet. I’m not sure how that works or maybe I don’t have enough water in the tub for it to work. Their installers were real good, too. They worked as a team and got everything done, but there was a little bit of miscommunication when I had wanted my door widened and that wasn’t relayed to them, so the door didn’t end up being widened.

The important thing that interested me in Safe Step Walk-in Tubs company was that it's made in the country. Their sales representatives were courteous and the installation team were great as well. I have used the tub a couple of times and the entry option is a good thing. I don’t need to step over it. It's a nice tub and they've done a good job. I can shower or sit there and soak and be massaged by all the jets. It's a little overpriced for what it does but I've made a deal and I'm sticking with it. The on and off button is in the wrong place as it is placed right by the door and every time I want to go in or open and close the door, my left hand hits that button and the tub is turned on. We had two different companies that we contacted to buy a tub like this, and we thought that the Safe Step walk-in tub was the better product. The presentation by the rep which he did on the television was a little boring and long, but he was very nice and knowledgeable and if we ask him a question he didn't have the answer to, he'd call somebody in his office and they have an answer to it. The installation team, on the other hand, was absolutely top notch. When they left, it looked like the tub had been there when the house was built- that's how beautiful the job they did. We were very happy with it. The walk-in tub is comforting, and I like the water jets. Additionally, my husband had spine surgery in September and he hasn't recuperated very well. The salesperson gave me a list of health conditions that a Safe Step tub could be of help with, but not cure, of course. I then asked him to send me a copy of that list, but I never got it. This is a pretty elaborate machine and it has a lifetime warranty. It's pretty amazing. I'm 85 and my wife is 88, and a lot of old people fall down, and a lot of those occur in or out of the bathtub. Having this tub at least precludes from falling down going in and out of it.
Another good feature is the seat makes it easier to get up from the tub. But what's wrong with this tub is that the walls are too high and the entrance is narrow, so a 250lbs person would have a hard time getting in the tub. Another negative feature is, in a regular tub, you can fill it up first then you come inside the tub. But with the Safe Step, you go inside and watch the water rise. For the money that these things cost (and they are expensive), they should have a pump to push more water in and to fill it up faster.

The reps were talking about all the discounts, and I ended up paying $12,000 for the walk-in tub, and that started getting into my savings. They weren't cheap. The tub's going to be worth the price eventually, but I've got to use it more. So far I've used it about once a week, since I alternate using it with the shower downstairs.
The installers were great. They came in and got all the work done in one day like what was promised. They told me to let the tub dry for another day or so before I used it. They had a lot of trouble carrying the tub upstairs and caused some wreck on the walls. Overall, however, it's been pretty good so far with Safe Step. And that’s something that Safe Step needs to work with their sales rep a little bit better on. They need to educate them more on the way things have to be manipulated in order to do the installation. There’s turning and twisting that they have to do to get the tub in the home. So even though they’ve got this measurement that fits, they have to understand the measurement that is greatly larger where they have to turn the piece of equipment to get it in there. And this guy didn’t take that into consideration. But the installers seemed very nice and informative. They were very courteous about doing as minimal destruction and they explained everything that they were going to have to do.
I was wondering if there was a smaller tub we could have went with rather than the big one we’ve got but I love the whirlpool jets, the ones that get the back, the legs and neck. Because of the increased cost to use this thing, I’m not using it as much as I would like to - I only use it twice a week. And if I had a smaller unit I would probably be using it more. My father uses the shower part of it daily. And that has taken a lot of relief off of him and is better for his safety precautions for him getting in and out.
The control to turn on the back jets is far. It’s up towards the front of the tub and when I go to turn it on, it causes a lot of splashing ‘cause I have to lean forward and then I have to lean back. It would be a lot better if that control was easier and accessible from a relaxed sitting position. The other thing that I highly recommend is the position of the lights for the light therapy. It needs to be behind the legs rather than in front ‘cause when it goes to the bright white, it blinds me when I'm sitting there.

My husband saw Safe Step's ad, contacted them, and talked me into getting a walk-in tub. The salesman came out to explain it and he made a very convincing case. We got one and we've been very happy with it - it's what I wanted. I like the Jacuzzi and the bubbles it makes in the water as it's supposed to be good for your skin. The tickling from the Jacuzzi also helps out on my many aches and pains. Those are the two things I use pretty much, otherwise I just take a bath. It's been a very satisfactory experience and I'd recommend Safe Step.

Then their installation team was here for a good while putting it in and were very friendly. We conversed and they told me all the things I needed to know about what to do and not to do with the tub and they cleaned up after themselves. They said the company wanted to take pictures of people, so they took a picture of me in the tub before they put it. I'm very happy with, but when the tub got put in, I felt I don't want the old bathroom. So I'm on hold now and haven't turned it on nor filled it up since I'm getting the rest of my bathroom done, but I'm excited. Overall, they were professional and they connected the right pipes and did a good job installing it.

Safe Step's installation team was nice. However, they didn't hook up my spray nozzle. Although my basement is full, I don't think it would be too much trouble to hook and fix it. I'm hoping I can get that fixed, but other than that, I love it. I like being able to get back in the tub and soaking my feet. I still need somebody to help me a little bit, but I can get the spray on towards my back and legs, all by myself. Also, I have arthritis in my shoulders, and can't raise my arms. I called one of the Safe Step Walk-in Tubs representatives in Tennessee, and he knew what he was talking about and assured me that the product had a very good warranty on it. Within a few days, I was called by the salesman who is a gentleman from Denver and said he could come right down and talk to me about it, which he did. He did a very good job of convincing me that the installation of the tub could be done here on time and with all the guarantees and that they could be out in a week, which I didn’t believe at all but they were. He also said that the installation could be done in half a day, which was exactly what they did do. The installation guys did an excellent job and knew what they were doing. I could tell by watching their work. They were very efficient and gave me confidence that the thing would work right.
I needed the tub because my wife has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and I figured that the only way she could take a bath is to have one of these things that are too comfortable. I've turned the heater on, and I'm hoping the heater works because that’s what my wife does. It's also getting cold. I know one part of it does work, and I'm quite sure that if it doesn’t, somebody would come right out and make sure it does. There are a number of features in it that are good - the heater, foot massage, and the back massage. The installation guys have done the work completely. It was installed, and we left for four weeks on a business trip so I haven't used it yet, but as far as the sales process, the installation process, and call experience.

Being 75 years old and using a body soap in the shower, it gets slippery and I can't even wash my head with one hand. That’s when I said, “I could afford it. I'm going to go with it and see what happens with the walk-in tub.” I chose Safe Step for several reasons. One, the door squared the bottom. Two, I don’t have a hose hanging down. It goes into the unit for the showerhead. And three, the drain doesn’t go down to pull the plug. It's got a drain handle on it that’s more effective.
When the installers put the tub in, they cleaned up the place, tore out the old one, stabilized it, and put in the new one. They did it the way it was promised. They ran the water twice because when you turn off the water in a house where it hasn’t been turned off, it comes out really crappy for a couple of times. So they did clear it up. I love the tub and have recommended it. I've explained to people why I went with Safe Step instead of the others.

Their sales rep and the installers were very nice and they were all very helpful. I've had my Safe Step for over a month now but I still haven't figured out how to turn on the jets. And I was really looking forward to them. But one gentleman actually went through the routine to help work everything out. But for some reason, I didn't get that particular step and I've tried everything but I still can't turn them on.
But so far, the only feature I don't like, and I've learned how to deal with that, is that when I go in and I turn the water on, it's cold and takes a while. So now I'd usually run it in the bathroom sink until it's hot, then when I turn on the one in the tub, that's about the right temperature. Other than that, I really enjoy my tub. It's convenient and I'm glad I've got it. I figured the problem I have with the tub is mine, and when it gets resolved, I'm sure it'd be perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.

All of the people from Safe Step were awesome and I appreciate it. The installers need to be patted on the back. I'm a nuclear engineer and a very big-time perfectionist. Every bead they did with the caulk is perfect. I went with Safe Step because their salesman taught me that it would have been a little bit bigger of a jump for me to get into Premier's tub than in Safe Step's because I'm in a wheelchair. He said that Safe Step's tub is so low to the ground, I can step into it on my own. He's a good guy and made me feel comfortable like they weren't going to rip me off. People love to mess over handicapped people and I think I have stupid written on my forehead. He also showed me how much money I could make as an incentive.
Everybody's torso is different and with Safe Step, It's so easy to adjust the water level to my body. The jets still work even though not totally covered. The installation team was very good. However, nobody told me that the tub took more than 40 gallons of hot water. When the salesperson measured the space, he said that it was fine and if they'll have any difficulties, they'll shove it through the window. I agreed as long as they didn’t tear off my frame. Initially, Safe Step was going to put in a tub that was too big. I had three tubs before they finally got one in. By the third time, I had already decided that I just didn’t want it because it was beginning to be a hassle. So they sent me a baby tub so that I could pay them. They ordered this thing from someplace with the doors off just to make it fit. This tub is so small and it's the worst thing I've ever seen.
I wanted the Safe Step tub because I love my bath. I was excited because I want to make it work for my arthritic body. I thought it would be a place to relax, but every time I go in and look at it, I get so upset. I'm having a horrible time. I'm not a huge woman and I can't even bend down and wash my ankles or stand up and take a shower. We're already in the process of getting a larger hot water heater, but here it is and I can't even turn and wash the right side of me because I'm so close to the door that I can accidentally open it.
I have the customer service number and I get these folks who are going to call me back but never do. I wish I could go straight to the top of the company. I tried to save money for a long time to be able to purchase this. I am really hurt because I have to pay for something that is so small and nobody gave me an option. They just put it in and I can't get the full use out of it. I don’t even know of a compensation Safe Step could do but I doubt if they would do any. I am very dissatisfied.

I had seen the ad for the Safe Step Bathtubs and decided to get them because they have a lifetime warranty on their product. The sales representative I dealt with was lovely and he covered everything. However, there were a couple of things that I requested from him such as where the shower head should go and why. But the installation team have their own way of installing it, wherein the shower head faces the person sitting. So in their case, there was a lack of communication between one person and the other. I wanted the shower head to go in the back, so my shower head did not have to be moved. I told them about it and they said, "Oh, no. This is what we're supposed to do." After all the work was done, they then went back and verified it, then they told me that I was right.
I also didn't appreciate that they worked until 10 o'clock at night. I have an elderly mother who has dementia and I have all kinds of animals, and a home like that was a little difficult. There is a time to stop so that we could get our life together, go to dinner and try to have some normalcy while there's construction, dust, and crap everywhere. I wasn't completely thrilled about that. Then the electrician said, "I'll be there at 6 o'clock," and they never ask me what time is good for me. When he finally finished the job, I gave him the check, I signed the papers then he lost them. Two days later, he had found the paper but couldn't find the check so I had to pay for stop payment on it and that's caused me stress. We're talking about almost $10,000 check with my signature. I have to hope that somebody doesn't copy my signature if not found later. So I have to go through the process of closing the whole account and that wasn't fun.
But the work they've done was excellent and the tub itself is beautiful. Everybody in my family has enjoyed it and the bottom line is that I know my mom is safe. She's can get in comfortably even with her limited skills and she understands how to do everything well. But I'm still waiting for the user manual on it because they didn't have it on them. One of the jets has popped off and I haven't had the chance to call them because I'm dealing with so many things at once including health issues. My only commentary: make sure that you have a copy of your notes as to what you purchased so that when they kept telling you it's something else or that's not the way they do it, you have it in front of you instead of wasting days and time.

I haven't used our tub yet but I think it's a very nice and put-together piece of equipment. My mother-in-law thinks it's very comfortable and I think it's what she actually expected when she made the purchase. Overall, it's an excellent product.

I was convinced to buy the walk-in bathtub after talking to the Safe Step salesman. He was real nice. The installers took the old tub out and put the new one in. The whole experience was pleasant. I like the tub and the jets. I feel relaxed, and have recommended it to others.

We just had the Safe Step installed two weeks ago. The sales rep was very polite in his presentation and we were very pleased to have him. The installers were excellent in doing their work the day that they put the walk-in shower. I like the chair feature very much. I'm more relaxed and I feel confident in since having my Safe Step walk-in shower.

I have emphysema and I can't step over a regular tub so we purchased a walk-in tub from Safe Step. I have also recommended it to my friends. Everything was good from their sales rep to their installation team. I really haven't filled it up to where all the jets are but it feels good not to be stepping over into a tub and losing balance. I just walk in and sit down and close the door.

I got Safe Step because it's made in America and I like all its features, especially being able to sit down on the warm surface. The sales representative was great, knowledgeable and friendly, I couldn’t ask for anything better. The installation team were perfect. They knew exactly what they were doing and there were no messes. Overall it's a great product.

Safe Step was the best walk-in tub company among the companies I checked out. Their sales representative, Chad, was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. After he left, he told me to call him if I needed anything before the installer comes. So far, the only problem I have was not getting enough hot water. So, I called Chad and he said I probably needed a bigger hot water heater. He went and checked it out. I also had my plumber come out to check. Now, he's going to see if he can put in the regular one which would be about a 50, 10 gallons more than what I have. If not, he'll have to tear all that out. All this was not explained to me. My plumber will let me know. And if I have any problem, I'll call Chad. Other than that, I love it. It looks good and it felt good when I got in there a couple of times. Also, my installer was very nice. I have recommended them to others.

The Safe Step tub sales rep was very knowledgeable and friendly with me. I love the air bubbles. I had a bruised heel and using the tub makes it easier for me to walk.

Safe Step Walk-in Tub costs quite a bit. We’re on retirement income and I didn’t think my wife would go for it but after she decided that we would buy it, I told the salesman that I would have given him a snowball’s chance of making that sale. But he did! And I had a nice bath in it this morning. However, I had problems figuring all those switches out, but I think I might have it under control now. I also found out how to make them go a point down, that way they don’t go all over the ceiling. I like the water hot and I’ve ran out of hot water. We just built this house and our 50-gallon hot water tank is brand new. I don’t wanna buy another one. But there's this kind where it heats the water as it goes through the coils and the water is constantly heated that we need not have a tank to keep hot hour after hour. I wonder if that works on one of these things? I'm satisfied, but I’ll like it even better when I get everything figured out.
