    Reviewed June 21, 2016

The sales rep from Safe Step Walk-in Tubs was fine but their installers were horrible. They were very unprofessional. They were completely unable to complete the job the first time they came out because they couldn’t find the water shut-off since it was buried. Then the installer said that he only had a couple of hours work left to do. He had to come back on a weekday to get it completed. It's because they had to get people from the city out to show them where the water shut-off was. The city people had to come dig it up. In the meantime, the installers tore up my yard and left a big hole in my front yard in the process of looking for the water shut-off. They never took care of that.

When the guy came back that Monday, he said he had a couple of hours work left to do. This is a work night for me and he took 10 hours to do the work. He did not leave my house until 3 o’clock in the morning. This is despite having told me that it was only going to be two hours to get the installation done. That was a major hardship for me because I was supposed to be at work the next day but I had to stay awake and wait for that guy to get out of my house. After he finally got the whole thing installed, he went to test it. He didn’t seal the door and he flooded my entire house. That did major damage to my hardwood floor since the water seeped in under the floor and caused the floor to lift.

The company wouldn’t stand behind it because they claimed it was a previous damage. Although there were some previous damages to the floor, the flood that the guy caused created additional damages. The installer did come and he did some kind of repairs, but they were in no way suitable. I wanted him out of there at that point. So the floor is all messed up and I had to put a rug down over the damage to cover it up. I will not recommend Safe Step because of the installation. But that experience aside, I really love the tub and it works like it's supposed to.

Everyone from Safe Step was polite. They came right away and I didn't bother to shop too much because the other one said free installation and I knew right away there's no such thing so they're going to jack the price up. Safe Step looked good and it was recommended on one of the channels on the computer. Someone looked at our area, measured everything and we went over the price and I fainted. I was a little surprised that the price was that high but I decided to buy. They installers were excellent and did a great job considering the tight area. They did broke one of my tiles and I haven't replaced it yet.

I bought the tub for my wife, but it's a little hard for her. The way the door is, the knee gets in the way when we try to close the door. However, little by little she'll get used to it. The jets are nice and the lights are all right. The only thing I'm having trouble finding now are those little marbles in the tube for micro-therapy. The rep gave me one little tube that's Eucalyptus but I haven't been able to find anyone else that sells them. I use it myself and I like it. The tub does take a lot of water to fill up, but it is very nice and I'd recommend it.

Before the Safe Step guys ever put in my shower, we checked them out with the Better Business Bureau and they had an A+ rating. My granddaughter called them, then the salesperson contacted me and set up an appointment to come out. I'm glad they did because we had checked with other companies and I wasn't pleased with the way they wanted to do the thing, but with Safe Step, they were Johnny on the spot.

The sales rep was an awesome person. He was very thorough in explaining things to us, how the tub was going to work and the cost of it, the whole nine yards, where other companies would say, "This is what we're doing and this is the price," and that was the extent of it. He was really good. The installation team were great too. They were very respectful and I can't speak highly enough of them.

My favorite thing with the tub is the chair. It's wonderful. My husband and I both have back problems and severe problems with our knees. In fact, my husband is getting ready to have surgery. The best part about the shower is the chair. It is great for him because he doesn't have to stand during the whole shower. Overall, we're very pleased with our experience with Safe Step.

I really like my Safe Step walk-in tub. It had a heated seat and the slip things my husband didn't hear from the other tubs. I’m a diabetic and my feet and legs hardly work. I’ve only got in it once and the next day I felt much better. Its foot massage function is my favorite. It's very easy to get in and out of it. Also, the installation team did a really good job. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite.

Safe Step was the first one that came to us and I liked it. I was a little shocked at the price but I figured I would probably be shocked at the other prices too. The sales rep was very informative and not pushy but I didn't like that he tried to talk me into something because it kind of turned me off a little bit. The installation team did their job, didn't disrupt anything and also cleaned up after themselves. I even asked them if they wanted to take a break or something to drink but they said that they had brought their lunch. They worked continuously until they finished.

We got the the tub for my sister and it's a lot safer for her. She has no trouble getting in and out of it. She enjoys it and the heated seat is the best feature for her because she's cold most of the time. The tub uses a lot of water compared to my showers but it's worth it in the long run. The first time she used it, she said she was really tired after it and she went to sleep. But the second time, she was back to normal. The sitting and waiting for the tub to fill up is a little bit frustrating but there's no other way to do it. But she's satisfied with the tub and she doesn't complain to me. I'm also very satisfied. We showed several people the tub and we told them where we got it from.

I just brought a brand-new 40-gallon tub and it's adequate but it runs out of hot water at the end of the bath. Other than that, it works fine. When you use it for a while, you feel pretty good, it relaxes you. The sales reps and the installation guys were fine, we've had some problems and they showed right up to fix them.

Safe Step Walk-in tubs seem to have a good reputation for the things that I saw online. But I'm a big guy and I had a hard time buying something that neither my wife or I had actually seen in the store or been in. Luckily for my wife and me, they were installing one in another house in our town not too far away a day later. The rep then organized that we could go there and actually get into it and see that we would fit in that thing. And once we had done that, we’re ready to go ahead and buy one. The rep went a little bit out of his way to try to make that happen and he also seemed to know his product pretty well.

The installation team was also helpful. I was worried because our house is a somewhat older and our doorways were too narrow to bring this tub in. But we had a very big picture window where our old tub was and they were able to take the picture window down, bring the new tub in, and then put it back up and organized around it from the inside. It looks very nice.

What I like about our Safe Step tub to start off was that we could walk into it or my wife can walk into it rather than climb over the sides. It was smarter to have a door that opens to the inside rather than the outside. Another thing that I like about it is the jets that blow around because we both have issues with joints. We also use it like a shower right now but we had them put our own shower head on there because we had one that adjusts to different kinds of sprays.

However, I had a problem the first time I tried the tub - I filled it up and the water poured out the door. Then it took a few days for the rep to come back and try to figure out. He couldn’t adjust it to make it work. He thought maybe we had to have another door, so we ordered another and that took a week to come. Then by the time it came, my wife’s mother was dying in Colorado, so we didn’t have a chance to put it back. It’s been almost a month that we have never really been able to use the tub because of leaking doors and not seem to be able to get the door to work.

We’re hoping that if they put this new door on and it fixes the problem that I was assured when we bought it, it would never happen. The reps of Safe Step were not particularly bad and I know making another door takes time. But then again it’s always, “Well, we will be in your neighborhood next Thursday installing another one. Maybe we’ll be able to come out there after that.” It was never like, “Oh, yeah. Let’s make sure we get this one working.”

Another thing was when one day I pulled off on that shower knob and it came right off in my hand. Whether it wasn’t screwed on quite right, I don’t know but I managed to screw it back down and it seemed to work again, but I’m not overly confident at this point. So we’ve never really been able to fill it up and turn on the jets and enjoy ourselves with the tub.

My husband is disabled and cannot stand long sustained baths so we were in desperate need of a tub that could be walked in. I saw Safe Step in an ad, we checked it out and was surprised at the price. It said $1,500 off but it's not the $3,000 kind of tub we expected. The sales rep's manner was exceptional. He didn't push. The installation team was very nice and did an excellent job. We just had to clean up in the 1st floor bathroom under the bathroom where the tub was installed because some of the stuff went down into there. As per the tub, we use the jets in the back and on the legs and enjoy it although it wears my husband out too much because he had lung and breathing problems. The only problem is the grout splits about 10 inches on one place in a just a couple of days. Other than that, the tub is working great.

I like Safe Step although I'm still getting used to it. I was expecting just the tub, but it has a shower and I can't fill it up and take a bath because if I use soap it makes too many bubbles. The tub uses an awful lot of water. Then, when we sat on the heated seat, I was expecting the water would be neck-high. It barely comes up midway of the chest and I have to scoot down to get wet. However, I thought that it's going to be good. The sales representative was very helpful and the installation team were excellent, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves.

When we called Safe Step to come to our house and talk to us, the man was very nice, informative and good to help us get everything set up. The sales team helped us get a loan for it, secured and with the payments the way we wanted. My husband said that the people who came were very nice, did a very professional job and cleaned everything up. Anybody I’ve had any interactions with over the phone seemed very nice and informative. My mother likes that the tub is easy to get in and out of. I don’t like that we haven’t shut the door good a couple of times and my ceiling flooded. One time, she hit the latch accidentally and it opened up. We didn’t realize it and it flooded my ceiling. Maybe the latch should be on top or on the front.

The installation crew was outstanding. They cleaned up. Not only did they take the old tub, they took the old toilet too. They're very polite and professional. Probably one of the most professional crews. Was here on time. Got done on time. I've been constantly thinking about Safe Step and decided to give them a call. One rep, Mike, told me the story of how the person who invented the Safe Step walk-in tub had his grandmother in mind because she had fallen and wouldn't take a bath. I wanted a walk-in tub because I've fallen a couple of times in trying to get out of my traditional tub, and I got tired of just taking showers all the time. Another thing I was thinking about was that my mother will be 95 on July 1, and she's always wanted a bath because they used to give my grandmother a bath. I thought the walk-in tub would be nice for her. I could help her when she comes out and let her take a bath instead of just washing up all the time.

Safe Step was more informative than any other company that I have called and asked questions from. The young salesperson was very knowledgeable and gave me all kinds of information. I asked them questions about other brands and they showed me the comparison. I like things that are made here in the United States, but the other brand is not. The sales rep was very friendly. I always asked him to know who's coming and what kind of credentials I'd be looking for, and he provided all of them. His little van had a Safe Step tub in it. I got in that little van he was driving and in the inside, he showed me what the tub would actually look like. He took his time for the measurements as well as answering all the questions that I had. He explained everything right down to a tee.

The installers were helpful and kind of comical because one was doing the installation and the other one had to go and check on the electricity and the water. So, when water was coming in, one tech was howling to the other one, "Carl, turn the water off," and apparently Carl couldn't hear him because my garage is a little ways away, and so it was like we were doing a relay. It was funny. Then they walked me through everything. They were really nice. Later on, another fellow came in, introduced himself, and checked to see if the work was completed.

I've started recommending Safe Step to friends. I sit in the tub for so long in winter time and take a little nap. I am totally relaxed when I've finished bathing and I sleep so much better. I like the micro jets because they are comfortable and I can feel my skin is much softer when I finish taking a bath.

The salesman from Safe Step who came here was great. He showed me the specs from every other company so I didn’t need to go shopping. The installation was perfect too. The installers set up tubs all over the Rocky Mountain region. They were very knowledgeable and very professional. One of them went downstairs to look at the water heater in the basement so that he knew how many gallons it was and how many gallons it took to fill the tub. They were in and out of here in less than six hours. They were great about cleaning up too.

I used the walk-in tub for the first time two nights ago. The reason for that is because I had to re-tile my great big tub and I didn’t want to use it for fear it might leak. I enjoy the lumbar jet feature of my walk-in tub the most but I'm not able to fully utilize the other jets untiI I figure out how to get the water level above the top jet. When I got the Safe Step walk-in tub, I was assured that my water heater capacity would be sufficient for it. I would not have that problem, but I did. I timed it, filled it and before it was full enough for me to turn on the lumbar jets, I had to shut the water off because it got cold. It was annoying. Other than that, it’s been a good experience and I would definitely recommend Safe Step Walk-in Tubs.

My wife really wanted a Safe Step walk-in tub. She's got physical problems and probably needs therapy. She said that it would be nice if she did not have to go out of the house. If the tub was therapeutic and good for her health, she would be able to use it at home, at her leisure. I thought the tub would probably be good too because it's got the jets that are soothing and I understand that it can clean your skin from the pores. We also felt that the tub was a good thing for us since the tub would complete our bathroom. It was rather costly however since my wife not only had the bath tub installed, she also had the people complete a closed closet. The Safe Step installers did a really good job on it though. Nevertheless, I don't think my wife could have gotten anything different than what she bargained for since the gentleman did the best he could.

My wife used the tub once and was happy with it. I think she's gonna have to use more to know if it's gonna work out, but we moved out of that house so we haven't used the tub again. There was a lady that looked at our tub and she liked the installation and the bath tub itself but didn't know it was that pricey. Still, I would recommend Safe Step to a friend because their representatives were honest, professional, kept in touch with me, and bent over backwards to try to accommodate us.

We had Safe Step come in to talk and I had others to come in, too. I liked Safe Step better than the others I’ve seen and they gave a better deal. I had no trouble with any of their sales representatives and they seemed to know what they were talking about. They showed us different pictures of the works of the tub. Then I had a lot of fun with the installation team. They were very nice kids and they can take jokes which was okay with me because sometimes they would say something and I would bat them right back so we got along fine.

I like the shower part of the tub and that I can sit and take a shower. If I don’t want to fill the whole tub up and get water in it, I can take my shower and do it quick and get out. I have no trouble getting in and out of it. The only thing I didn’t like about it is the perfume thing that goes in. I have allergies and I can’t have that. They told me to take it out of the thing and set it out there and leave it so it won’t bother. I would recommend Safe Step to anybody. As a matter of fact, I got a son and his wife who was here and one of these days if they can decide to get one, I’ll tell them to get this kind. It has so many different things that I like that I didn’t see in the other tubs. I enjoy it, I like it and that’s all that matters because it’s mine.

The Safe Step salesman worked with us and helped us financially. He’s very knowledgeable and a good salesman. The installation team got the tub done a little after lunch and did a fantastic job. I’ve only used it 5 times and it's wonderful. I like the whirlpool. I get to enjoy my bath three times a week and it’s a lot more comfortable and easier to get in because before, my son had to lift my legs over the tub so I could take a shower. My son used to take the shower but he told me the other night that he took a bath and he liked the little bubbles. I told him, “I know. I got to enjoy it a few times.”

I called three or four bathtub companies already and when I called Safe Step, they said it would be a week or two before they could get to me. But I told them I needed it ASAP because my wife had a broken hip. They called around, changed their schedule and said, "We can be there and show you what we got tomorrow and see if we can get it done in a couple of days." They showed up the next day like they said and had a van that had a tub in the back of it. They took me out, showed and explained it all to me and I took it. It was an easy sell. I think it was way too much money but I'm not going to argue that point, I didn't have to sign a contract if I didn't want to pay it.

The people that installed it were even better than the salesmen. They came out, measured the bathroom where I want it in and got the tub in there but they couldn't get it turned around to install it. They took it back to the warehouse, got another one and came back and installed it in a different bathroom for me. They took the door out facing the hall leading into the bathroom, took two walls down in the bathroom and installed it. I thought it would take them a day or two but they did it in about four and a half hours. They were top notch and real nice gentlemen.

They also went out of their way to be courteous and kind. They even cleaned up after themselves and it was a good experience to have that particular crew to come and put everything in for me. I've told people that's asked me about them what I thought about them. I don't know if they ever get any business out of it but at least I recommended them to other people.

Everything looked fine and the tub works perfectly. I like that I can just sit there and relax. I also like the lights coming on and off, which doesn't have anything to do with how it operates, and those jets at the bottom with those microscopic bubbles coming in. It does a good job massaging my feet. There are bath beads in ours too, I don't know how to work them yet but I know they're there. Also, it's easier to get inside and outside of the tub on a smaller person and I'm a little on the fat side. But I know if I scoot up in one of the corners of the tub and I can open and close it all right, it's not that big of an inconvenience.

Safe Step had a presentation and I'm satisfied with it. The installers were fantastic, very nice and did a very neat job. They also showed up on time, worked diligently for about three-quarters of the day and were all done. The tub is working like it's supposed to. My wife is using it because of a medical situation but I've used it only for a shower. The only thing with the shower is that you got to have a good flow of water when you pull up the instrument to switch from a faucet to the shower, the one doing with the small screen. The spring on that device is a little bit too tight and I don't think it has to be that way. But I can live with it for a while. However, my kids were a little upset that I paid too much money for it.

I was watching an ad on television for a walk-in tub and I didn’t get the number. I had a magazine on my lap, and when I went to get up, a Safe Step flyer fell out of the book. And I thought, well, I must have been meant to find out about this. So, I called the number. I really enjoyed the day talking to the reps of Safe Step and how they explained everything. I had two different installers come because they had to come back. They had to come from Ohio, which was really around four hours to make the trip to do the work. Everyone that works for the company’s great and terrific. I really like the tub and the lights. I have bad legs, and the tub made a big difference with my legs. It’s also very easy to get in and out of and it wipes down nice. I use white vinegar to clean it and it’s just sparkling and looks brand new. My family’s been home and they’re gonna love it.

A Safe Step sales representative came out to our house and he was real nice and very knowledgeable. I have almost fallen in my old bathtub and I wanted to have a walk-in tub for safety. Two men came out to bring the tub and install. They were very nice and we really enjoyed having them. We had to build a new bathroom and they put the tub in there. They said they would be back when the builder is finished with everything and then tell us how to use the tub because we still needed to know a lot about it.

I think I am going to enjoy the bubbles and just sitting in there relaxing. This week, I've sat in the tub just to see how it would be, but no water. I have a window right beside it looking out on my backyard, and I enjoyed just sitting there. I'll probably have a lot of questions when I actually do get to use the tub. I've told all my friends about my Safe Step even though I've not used it.

However, the doctors won’t let me get in the tub yet. I have sores on my legs and I sit on the throne. I only stare at this $14,000 tub. My wife and I had already talked about getting a walk-in tub. We're trying to get set up where we can do more stuff for ourselves without having somebody come stay with us to help out. I saw Safe Step and it looked like it had more stuff on it and they also mentioned the heated seat and bubbles. All of the sales representative were courteous and answered every question we had. I was also really impressed how the installers tried to keep everything as clean as they can from the time they set foot in the house. They tore the old tub out and put in the new one, and they cleaned up afterwards. We couldn't even tell the old tub had been here.

The installer had to come back and level the tub because it wasn't level and we couldn't keep the door open on it. I was afraid the pressure might do damage to the seal on the door. But everything's working good on it. We're really liking our walk-in tub. However, it takes so long for it to fill up that my wife and I sometimes have to take our baths far enough apart because it takes at least two hours before we can have enough hot water again. But we learned to do it and we make our schedule.

I've been sleeping better because of this tub. I always take my bath just before I go to bed. The jets on the back are good. My wife had back surgery and she enjoys the back jets. I enjoy the lower ones but I wish the tub had another jet or two. It has one jet right behind my knee and I wish it had one in front or on the side where I could get more circulation or stimulation on the knee. Hopefully, the jet is going to help the stimulation on the knee where I can get my movement quicker.

In addition, their sales rep was excellent. The two guys that installed it did a good job and explained everything before they left. Also, they put a cloth down to walk on and they had to walk there through my living room. That’s better for the people that are doing the job because they can wash them. A friend gave me a good review about Safe Step Walk-In Tubs and I have one at my house. But the one that’s recently been installed is at Rocky Point at my daughter’s house. I wanted a Safe Step tub at my daughter's house because when I get sick, I'm unable to stay by myself so I will be down at her house. I enjoy mine at the house but I haven’t had time to get into the one down at my daughter’s house yet. Even so, I’m very satisfied with all of it. I use the shower a lot and I really like it. I like everything about the tub.

The Safe Step sales representatives for both my purchases were wonderful. The installation team was also wonderful. They had the installation done in about a little over half a day at my daughter’s house but they took a bit longer at my house because they didn’t have as many people working as they did at my daughter’s. Since the installation, it’s very relaxing for me to get in the tub and sit and read a book or whatever. I would recommend the tub to a friend if they could afford it since it’s expensive but it's worth the money.

My husband just died. I live by myself and my doctor didn't like me getting in the shower by myself because I have real bad vertigo and I fall down a lot. I've probably had 30 bad falls. I got three leaflets about safe tubs which I read and decided I liked Safe Step the best, so I called right away. However, on the paper, it said there was a $1500 discount but they never mentioned that to me and I got another one yesterday and they're still giving the $1,500 discount. I paid cash and ended up paying $10,000 plus for my Safe Step and then had to pay $2,789 for the 75-gallon tub. The man who sold the tub to me said he thought the 40-gallon would be okay, but it wasn't. He also sold me the very best one they had and the installers that came here said I could have done with a much smaller one because I'm not that big. It was expensive and that washed me out. But the tub is wonderful and looks good.

I love my Safe Step, but they didn't give me very good instructions about what all the buttons are for. They gave me such a quick summary because they didn't finish till midnight. I was going to bed then and the next day, I couldn't remember what they told me. I don't know which button to hit for making the jets work and I'm afraid to hit the wrong one even when I've read the directions over and over. When I tried to call, I kept getting a recording and I asked them to call me back, but they didn't. One day somebody did, but it took a while and I almost had to beg them to call me back.

But I’ve taken three baths and I love it when the colors come on. I got flyers on two other kinds of tubs and I read about them and they don’t have what I got. Another thing about me is I can't sit down and get up because my knees don't bend, and I noticed my knees are all better. I've let my daughter use the tub the other night because she was tired and she loved it too. My neighbors are all asking if they could come over and take a bath. I’m happy with my tub except I wish they would've given me a set of directions. I got a folder but it just tells me what they’re for and it isn’t as explicit as it should be.

I would definitely recommend Safe Step. In fact, my son says he’s going to get the same one that I have. My son is on his third time of his cancer recurring and his chemo makes him deathly sick and hurt all over. I’m going to try to get him in the tub and I think it’ll make him feel better.

I read an article in a magazine about Safe Step. I gave it to my wife and let her read it and see what she thought about it. She said, “Can we have a guy come over and take a look at it?” I said, “Yeah, we can do that.” And it's surprising because we were looking at the Standard tubs. Kevin came over and explained it to us. We’ve seen the video and everything else. I liked the idea of the cut out door where we sit down and close the door. I also liked the way the maintenance program was. Once you buy it, you don't pay maintenance, they’ll take care of it. For the Standard club, we had to pay for every different little thing. It says full maintenance but we get to research it a little bit, “Oh, no. We don’t pay for that.” So when Kevin showed up, I already made up my mind we wouldn’t have bought at Standard, so we had to find something else.

Kevin was very knowledgeable of his product. Every question I asked, he had answers for it. Not only that, he had demonstration to back it up. He knew what he did. He didn’t over pushed it, he just explained it. We looked at it, looked at some of the brochures and stuff he gave us. And the questions I asked, I was satisfied with. When the tub was put in, I come home, and it was all there looking very beautiful and nice. My wife couldn’t wait to get in until the next day because we’re supposed to wait 24 hours before we get in there. She already had her towels and everything up there. She’s got arthritis really bad and the tub helps her out especially with the bubbles inside. She said she feels like a new person. And my old grandma who had a stroke said she can’t wait to get back here.

My grandma likes the lights and the jets. My wife likes everything. She likes the really fine bubbles and everything that come out. She’s doing a good job on all that and she’s well satisfied. As a matter of fact, it was yesterday when I came home she said, “Buddy, I really love that tub.” I said, “Well, good. At least I did something right.” My wife was really particular about what's good and what’s bad so her judgment and her comments were nothing but excellent.

I love the tub but I'm having a little bit of a problem - water’s been leaking out of it. They had put in a subfloor but it gets my whole bathroom wet. Part of the water leak is because they didn’t put the rod all the way around the tub. They forgot the extension.

Also, one of the magnets came off. I don’t know how that happened but I saw something on the floor in the bathroom that looked like it was part of it and I picked it up and then I took the door off of it. I had called and talked to one of the representatives and she had sent me the information out. I looked at it and I decided, “Well, not now.” And then around February I’d tried to get it. I had a Jacuzzi tub and I was having problems getting in it. Then when I tried to get in the shower one day, my hand just slipped and I said, “This is it.” When I talked to the sales rep two years ago, she stayed in contact with me because during that time I had to leave town. I had some medical emergency. She kept in touch with me and emailed me. Then when I decided to buy the tub, the guy came out and he explained everything to me. He had a demonstration in his truck. He had a van and he showed me how it worked.

I was sold basically before he ever came out. He was very informative and he called and checked on me, made sure everything’s okay. On the other hand, the installation team was the best guys in the world. They came in and they talked to me. They were very efficient, cleaned up behind themselves and showed me how everything worked. It was good. I like walking in the tub. Also being able to sit down and clean myself and being when I saw all the grime and stuff that was coming off in the water and seeing I can even take a shower basically because I do the handle and just wash myself, rinse myself off and I don’t have the fear of falling. I feel more comfortable getting in there and doing what I have to do and coming on out. I’ve recommended it to my sister and to the lady I know in Atlanta. It was a wonderful experience.

However, I must have been out of the room when the salesperson Mike mentioned that they do not turn on the water jets until the water is at a certain height. So the first time I turned it on, I blew out the bathroom, got a really clean bathroom, because I didn’t have the water high enough. The second time I used it, I didn’t lock the door, so I got my bathroom floor really clean. The third time I’ve used it, all of a sudden about halfway through the bath, the pressure seemed to go down on the air that blows, making it into a whirlpool. I haven’t tried it again since then. So I don’t know if it cycles through heavy waves or I can choose a lower strength of the water. But, I like the tub's back massage. By the time I get out, I can barely keep my eyes open. I love it.

I have restless legs syndrome but since using it, my legs don't bother me as much. After a few more times in the tub, I hope I don't have to take my medication when I go back to see the doctor. My son-in-law has a bad back and he said that it really helps his back as well and that he enjoys using it. The only disadvantage about it is having to wait for it to fill up. However, after I learned that I had to fill it up to get the back jets on, I didn't wet the whole bathroom anymore. It was great.

Safe Step's sales rep was very outgoing, friendly and gave us all the information that we needed. The installers did a good job, however, they didn't clean up very well after they were finished. They left the bathroom with stains on the floor and we had several places on the bathroom door that were fingerprints with whatever it was they used. Also, they left what they put down in the hallway, the runner. They folded it up but I had some stuff at the end of my bed and they left it on top of that. But, I’m enjoying the tub itself. I like most are the little bubbles and the jets where they pulsate the air out. They work really good with my arthritis in my neck. The changing colors is a bonus. It was a good experience all in all.

I’ve been looking for several years for something safe to get in and out of my tub because I’ve had both hips replaced. I saw Safe Step advertised on television and I talked to a lady who, with her husband, had to get a walk-in tub and that convinced me that I needed something. I went with Safe Step because they only have five inches of step up into and that it would look good in my bathroom because I have a small bathroom. It was a convenience that would help me. Their sales reps, mostly, were very nice gentlemen. However, I had some guy come here and do some other work for me and he wasn't pleasant at all. But the others were courteous, clean and cleaned up after themselves. But those last men didn’t do that at all.

In terms of the tub's features, I like the ability for me to get in and out and be able to clean it when I'm done. It makes bathing a pleasure. Since having it installed, I bathe more frequently. I have a lady friend and I almost have her talked into getting one but she’s still thinking about it. She’s on the edge but she needs one. She doesn’t get around well either. She just depends on someone else. I want her to come over and look at mine and see what it’s like. I think that makes a big impression if she actually sees what it’s like. I’m very satisfied with Safe Step. Service-wise and then the bathtub-wise, couldn’t ask for anything better.

Safe Step's sales rep came in and he was kind, took measurements and told me some things about Safe Step and what I would want with my tub. He wanted to make sure that I was happy. Moreover, the installation team who came to my home was great. They came in that morning and sized up everything that they needed. They wanted to make sure they had everything. They told me what they were gonna do. There were some work that I wanted done, but we couldn’t get it done because it would have left a hole in my floor. So they gave me the option of whether to continue it or change my mind, so I decided to change my mind. She told me to call Safe Step and let them know that I changed my mind about them widening my doors. They were very kind. They came in and got to work. They didn’t play around. I stayed out of their way.

When they finished they cleaned up everything and afterwards they showed me how my tub works and all that good stuff. I like the lights and the bidet. I love my tub because now I’m able to take baths, whereas I couldn’t in my old bathtub because I have osteoarthritis in both of my knees. And that was my deciding factor too for getting the Safe Step tub because sometimes I don’t want to take a shower. I just want to take a bath. The tub allows me to take a bath and enjoy the jets, the air bubbles and the lights. It’s relaxing. It was a great experience.

The rep came to the hospital 'cause I had a stroke and we signed the contract there instead of going through Premier and the other company. But I was disappointed that the tub didn't have more jets to it and that the price was a little higher than what I thought and more than what my budget was going to save. It's going to take me a long time to pay it off but I'm very pleased with the tub. Neither my husband or myself can use a tub. We could not lift our legs. However, the Safe Step walk-in tub worked out perfectly. Our salesman wasn't forceful. We just got our tub and it's wonderful. I love everything about it. I'd go in there, sit down, let the water in, and the bubbles come. I told my husband, "We haven't had a bath in seven years. All we do is shower." It's really a pleasure to go in there.

The installers were very good too. But, they scared the hell out of us. They told us that the tub isn't working and it wasn't measured right. They said they we're gonna have to take the tub back. I said, "You gotta be kidding me!" He saw that I took it seriously and he says, "It's April Fools' Day." That's when it was installed. They were really funny but they worked hard. They came at 8:00 in the morning and they finished at 4:30 in the afternoon. They did a very nice job. I would recommend Safe Step to anyone.

I have had my Safe Step Tub since Dec 2012. I had it installed for my husband but he never used it because he passed away shortly after. I use it occasionally, about every 3 to 4 months and usually just to soak my feet and shower off when I do but have filled it on occasion. I prefer to shower and it does use a lot of water. I also am constantly banging my knee on the handle. I decided to use it today only to find that the water pump is not working. It just hums. I contacted the company that took over for the original company that sold it to me. The installer that I had back then was great. We will see what happens when the tech calls me back. Of course they tried to sell other things when I called. I am pretty upset that this pump is out already and has barely been used. I had a large hot tub in my previous home and only replaced a pump once in 25 years.

Since I already have 14k in this tub, it will be interesting to see what kind of quote I get. I would have been happier with air jets only and a handle on the outside with a door that swings out. The cost would have been less and I wouldn't have to use extra water to clean out the water jets that get moldy if you don't. I also get cold while the tub is filling. I usually have to turn the water flow valve way down because I am small and not comfortable filling it above all the jets. If I don't turn it down, it sprays all over the wall.

I became interested in the tub after seeing and hearing about it. The installers were real sweet and explained to me what to do and what not to do. One of them told me how to get a massage in the tub. But I told him that if I try it and the water starts hitting my back, I'll be laughing since I am ticklish.

I’m getting used to my walk-in tub. It’s so nice sitting in it and enjoying it, bathing, letting the water run out and then stepping out. I have less aches and pains because I am not climbing in and out. I feel more relaxed. I love it and I’m very satisfied. I have told some of my friends, people from my church and family members about it. I’ve let them go in my bathroom and look at my tub. One of my daughters fell in love with it.

We had a walk-in bathtub and would not have replaced it except the door handle apparatus stopped locking and we couldn’t fill the tub with water. Therefore, it became a very expensive shower. I tried for like six months to replace the bolt on the door handle so that it would work, and that was like mission impossible. When my husband found the Safe Step information, we went forward with that.

A salesman came to our house and sold us on the product. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. Their installation guys were very fast and efficient. They knew what they were doing and did a great job cleaning up after. The biggest mess was when they took the old bathtub out and there was water from the bathroom to the door. But they had clothes with them and they mopped it up immediately. They wanted to mop my whole floor when they were finished, but I told them that was not necessary. They went above and beyond. They were wonderful.

We're also quite impressed with the tub and all the features like the jets and the micro beads that come out. Our grandchildren, who are 5-year-old twins, are impressed with the colors that can be changed. In fact, our grandson went to preschool and when it was his turn for show and tell, he was describing our new bathtub. All of the teachers, staff and kids learned about it. The only thing that concerns me is I had not gotten a bill yet.

I looked over all walk-in tubs over the internet. Safe Step seemed to have what I've wanted more than anything else and had all the best guarantee. Their sales representatives were very polite, informative, and answered my questions. They told me they would come look at my bathroom and give me a recommendation. The installation part was a bit of a problem. A guy had explained the contract and I signed it. That guy was very nice and said everything would be fine. They sent the first installation team in and when they came out from looking at the bathroom, they said the tub they had won't fit. The team went to confer with somebody then they left. That was the part that bothered me - not what they said but the fact that they wouldn't even discuss it.

I called the main office but the guy from before was not in. He called me back though and said that they were going to send out someone else to take care of it. The other guy came and removed the phasing off the living room door which was catty-cornered from the bathroom - the reason why the first installers said the tub can't get in. He was able to install the tub and replace the phasing within one day, then everything was okay. This second guy was very competent, quick, and rectified the mistake of the first installers. Due to this, I'd still recommend Safe Step.

I like the way everything in the tub is arranged. I have the ability to reach everything while sitting in the tub. The tub also has a shower head that can be lifted up. I just had shoulder surgery and I can't get it inverse, but I can rinse with the shower head. This is my favorite thing about the tub - the convenience of being able to sit, take a bath, then in the end, shower off.

He even raves about it and goes down to his sister's house to tell her all about it.

But one Sunday night when I was downstairs attending my animals, I found a whole lot of water on top of a little storage table that I had and discovered a leak from the re-installation of the sink or the toilet bowl. It had been accidentally leaking for quite a while because I had a pile of newspapers in that room and they were wet. It was also starting to smell kind of nasty and funky. I always check under the tub and there was no leak there. The workmanship in the bathroom was great, but I have never checked the far side of the room on the outer wall until I turned on that light and it started to smell kind of musty down there. So I was going to call them. Anybody can make a mistake and open up something. You can't foretell a leak. So they still did an excellent and beautiful job. Installation was within a week or two. The installers cut into my doorway to take the old tub out and put the new tub in. They spent about seven hours putting it in and didn't do a very good job because there are gouges and holes in the wall beside the tub in one area. My doorway looks terrible now. There's a big gap where they tried to put my doorway back together. The door sticks and makes all kinds of racket. I didn't expect them to be finish carpenters, but I expected it to be the best it could be done in a rough way. My floor is always wet too. I use the tub every day as a shower and that's when it happens.

There's a lot of things that I'm not happy with. I mainly got the tub for my wife because she's paralyzed on her right side and she hasn't been able to take a bath in it because she can't sit on the seat that long. I can't also get it filled for her as it takes too long. When I researched about the water leaking over and soaking the floor, I stumbled upon the fact that there are different prices and I paid on the highest end. I'm very unhappy with that because it's a real financial burden. If I were happy with everything, I would at least feel that it's worth it. However, the fact that we're not able to use it and they overcharged me by $6,000, I feel like I've been taken advantage of.

The potential is there. The product is a decent one, but I feel like we've been overcharged and no one cares whether we use it or not. There is a manager at Tennessee who didn't seem concerned, trying to tell me that I can find any kind of price I want online. The fact is, it was all Safe Step that I was looking at. I wasn't looking at anyone else's. The sales rep gave me the $19,000 and they kept taking it down. I did not realize that it's basically whatever I can negotiate and it's not a set price.

Their sales rep and the team that did the install were fantastic! The installation team was very courteous and efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. A thing about it is that you should remember to lock the door down. My wife almost drowned when the door was not sealed and it went all over the floor. The tub from Safe Step works fine though I'm the only one who is using it. My wife is very big and I'm not sure if she'll fit in. She's very intimidated by the fit. I enjoy the tub, but the problem is I tend to fill it higher than it's supposed to be. There's no line saying "Do not fill beyond this point." Then I find out it's squirting all over the place. Another problem we have is with the outside. One of the covers keeps falling off. It seems to be missing a magnet in one of the holes there, or that the magnet wasn't glued in properly. But if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't spend this kind of money on a tub.

Installation was sort of shoddy when they had to take it out to get the tub in and when they put it back, it wasn't back right so it leaked. Also, they told us that a 40-gallon water heater was enough but it's not. The information that was given about the type of tank we have was not true and that was misrepresentation.

I've had my Safe Step tub a little over a month and I like it. I also like the lights and I enjoy the jacuzzi which I only use several times a month. The lady sales rep and the installers have been very nice. I'm getting used to the brochure I have and I have to get in the tub to really understand what to do. Also, they said I could do two or three levels in this tub and I didn't have to fill it up full which I didn't understand why. I'll get back in my guidebook and figure it out.

On the other hand, there was some wall issue with the sheetrock where it's very evident that it split. The installers did some patching but they didn't patch it up level with the sheetrock so it's messy-looking. They told me that one of the gentlemen would come back to fix it but I hadn't heard back from them yet. If we were going to repaint the bathroom, we could fix those places but we didn't have any intentions of painting the bathroom anytime soon. We've been busy with baseball games and one of the guys is coming back on a Saturday. I assumed I'd contact them if they didn't contact me.

I love the tub. I get in it, take my shower, wash my hair and do everything all at the same time. The tub is beautiful and helps me a lot. I don’t have to climb over it. I like the shower head more than anything else. Wherever I put the hose, it goes on me. It's wonderful. I never considered Safe Step until I saw it from the NARFE magazine and thought, "Wow, that looks really cool." That's why I selected it. I love my tub and it makes me feel very good. I like the fact that it has the jets that I can put on my feet when my feet are hurting. The jets get my lower back too, and it feels good and makes me relax more. But the seat's a little hot so I have to turn it off, and the beads that they gave me don't give much of a fragrance at all. When I called, they said to take the beads out and soak them in some water and lavender oil to work better, but that didn't work. I think the beads are just old, and the girl at Safe Step said they had a package in the office that they were gonna send me. Plus the jets are high enough that if you lean forward, it squirts all over the bathroom.

Their installers were very knowledgeable and courteous, and the sales rep was a very nice man. The only thing that I thought was weird was when I called the company about the beads not working, the rep said, "Well, you can buy a whole bottle of them at Bed, Bath & Beyond cheaper than you can buy the other ones." But those are liquid gels and you're not really supposed to use them in a step-in tub. And I almost went that route because of what he told me. I thought well, that gel's gonna leak down inside, so that doesn't make sense to me because the other beads are completely dry.

So then I called again and the other rep told me not to use those, that I had to get special gel beads. So I thought that was kind of strange because I could've ruined the tub. A man told me that I can go to Bed, Bath & Beyond, since they carried them, and Walmart carried them, too. But Bed, Bath & Beyond doesn't have the dry gel beads that you need to put in there with the little puffs of the little mesh bags when there's no gel in there. They're called gel beads but you can't really use the ones with the gel because that would ruin the tub with that leaking down inside. But overall, I've been very pleased with Safe Step. I couldn't have been able to get the tub before but I'm glad I got it now.

They had to bust up the concrete bathtub, but they were like, "I'm trying to be quiet." And I said, "It's okay." They answered all our questions and worked with us as we did the purchase. The installers installed the tub all in one day, cleaned up, and didn’t leave a mess. Since I started using the walk-in tub, I noticed that a few aches and pains have become lesser. The tub is relaxing and something that I needed. I also love the hot seat. We probably need a bigger hot water tank because it doesn’t take very long and there’s no hot water. Overall, it has been an outstanding experience.

The sales rep did a good presentation on the Safe Step product, and he had the tub in a truck, so I went into it and liked how it felt. The installation team came and installed it. They did explain how it worked but, instead of being rushed, they could have taken a little more time and told me what to do, but they didn't. Although it's a good product, I regret buying it because it's very expensive. I recommend that consumers shop around. I didn't shop around enough and that was my fault.

Then I found Safe Step who’ll build the tub that would fit the space I have and their tub was made in Nashville, Tennessee. They don't require redoing my whole bathroom as well. I told them what I was interested in and they called me back immediately and sent somebody out here. They were very responsive. And the tub is easy to keep clean. I like that I couldn't get in and out without the tub entrance. I’ll probably have to fall out of the tub on the floor. I'm very glad.

I’m a satisfied customer of Safe Step. I was going to explore other tub companies, but their salesman was pretty strong on letting me know that Safe Step was one of the best tubs there was and that it was American-made. However, the price is going to be hard on me. It was more expensive than I ever imagined, but I signed the paperwork when the salesman came out and never actually got other quotes on tubs. I love the whole thing and all the features but I haven’t been able to use its aromatherapy yet. I’m not sure how that works or maybe I don’t have enough water in the tub for it to work. Their installers were real good, too. They worked as a team and got everything done, but there was a little bit of miscommunication when I had wanted my door widened and that wasn’t relayed to them, so the door didn’t end up being widened.

The installers, a carpenter and a plumber, did it in about half a day. They started around 8:00 and they were finished by about 1:30. They did an excellent job. We have a grandson who is a carpenter and when he looked at it, he said they did a good job installing the tub. I love our Safe Step walk-in tub, especially the jets. Their sales representatives were courteous and the installation team were great as well. I have used the tub a couple of times and the entry option is a good thing. I don’t need to step over it. It's a nice tub and they've done a good job. I can shower or sit there and soak and be massaged by all the jets. It's a little overpriced for what it does but I've made a deal and I'm sticking with it. The on and off button is in the wrong place as it is placed right by the door and every time I want to go in or open and close the door, my left hand hits that button and the tub is turned on. The presentation by the rep which he did on the television was a little boring and long, but he was very nice and knowledgeable and if we ask him a question he didn't have the answer to, he'd call somebody in his office and they have an answer to it. The installation team, on the other hand, was absolutely top notch. When they left, it looked like the tub had been there when the house was built- that's how beautiful the job they did. We were very happy with it. The walk-in tub is comforting, and I like the water jets. Additionally, my husband had spine surgery in September and he hasn't recuperated very well. The salesperson gave me a list of health conditions that a Safe Step tub could be of help with, but not cure, of course. I then asked him to send me a copy of that list, but I never got it. This is a pretty elaborate machine and it has a lifetime warranty. It's pretty amazing. I'm 85 and my wife is 88, and a lot of old people fall down, and a lot of those occur in or out of the bathtub. Having this tub at least precludes from falling down going in and out of it.

Another good feature is the seat makes it easier to get up from the tub. But what's wrong with this tub is that the walls are too high and the entrance is narrow, so a 250lbs person would have a hard time getting in the tub. Another negative feature is, in a regular tub, you can fill it up first then you come inside the tub. But with the Safe Step, you go inside and watch the water rise. For the money that these things cost (and they are expensive), they should have a pump to push more water in and to fill it up faster.

The tub's going to be worth the price eventually, but I've got to use it more. So far I've used it about once a week, since I alternate using it with the shower downstairs.

The installers were great. They came in and got all the work done in one day like what was promised. They told me to let the tub dry for another day or so before I used it. They had a lot of trouble carrying the tub upstairs and caused some wreck on the walls. Overall, however, it's been pretty good so far with Safe Step. The water bill has been astronomical around here because of the tub, but it's nice when I get in there.

I had scheduled an appointment for Safe Step to come by and meet with us but with my wife’s illness, I had to reschedule a couple of times and I thought they might get discouraged. But finally, the gentlemen came about 5:30 one afternoon, spent about two hours explaining to us and showing us the videos, and we looked at where it was going to go and made the sale. They were more like friends or neighbors than they were just salesmen. I got in from work about the time that the installation team was finishing up. My wife said they were very friendly, cordial and professional in the way they installed the tub. They’ve done a good job, cleaned up after themselves, and interacted with her.

I got the tub for my wife because she had to have a knee replaced and couldn’t step over into a regular bathtub without the fear of falling. I also have a bad back and I use the tub every morning and I can definitely tell it improved. My favorite feature would be the microbubbles. I use them first for about 15 minutes and then I’ll use the water jets, so it’s a combination of the two. Everything has been wonderful and I have already recommended Safe Step to other people.

Interactions with the sales rep of Safe Step were very pleasant and mostly informative. However, they educated before the fact and not after. And that’s something that Safe Step needs to work with their sales rep a little bit better on. They need to educate them more on the way things have to be manipulated in order to do the installation. There’s turning and twisting that they have to do to get the tub in the home. So even though they’ve got this measurement that fits, they have to understand the measurement that is greatly larger where they have to turn the piece of equipment to get it in there. And this guy didn’t take that into consideration. But the installers seemed very nice and informative. They were very courteous about doing as minimal destruction and they explained everything that they were going to have to do.

I was wondering if there was a smaller tub we could have went with rather than the big one we’ve got but I love the whirlpool jets, the ones that get the back, the legs and neck. Because of the increased cost to use this thing, I’m not using it as much as I would like to - I only use it twice a week. And if I had a smaller unit I would probably be using it more. My father uses the shower part of it daily. And that has taken a lot of relief off of him and is better for his safety precautions for him getting in and out.

The control to turn on the back jets is far. It’s up towards the front of the tub and when I go to turn it on, it causes a lot of splashing ‘cause I have to lean forward and then I have to lean back. It would be a lot better if that control was easier and accessible from a relaxed sitting position. The other thing that I highly recommend is the position of the lights for the light therapy. It needs to be behind the legs rather than in front ‘cause when it goes to the bright white, it blinds me when I'm sitting there.

My husband saw Safe Step's ad, contacted them, and talked me into getting a walk-in tub. The salesman came out to explain it and he made a very convincing case. We got one and we've been very happy with it - it's what I wanted. I like the Jacuzzi and the bubbles it makes in the water as it's supposed to be good for your skin. The tickling from the Jacuzzi also helps out on my many aches and pains. Those are the two things I use pretty much, otherwise I just take a bath. It's been a very satisfactory experience and I'd recommend Safe Step.

The sales representative of Safe Step were awesome. The installation team were wonderful too. They told me every button and screw and what these do. The tub is my favorite. I love the herb bubbles. It’s helping my hives. I’d live in it if I could. I've had my friends come over and look at the tub and they said that it looks so nice.

I saw Safe Step in a magazine ad and they were the first and only one I saw so I chose to go with them. Their sales rep was friendly, courteous and explained the contract and the product to me. Then their installation team was here for a good while putting it in and were very friendly. We conversed and they told me all the things I needed to know about what to do and not to do with the tub and they cleaned up after themselves. They said the company wanted to take pictures of people, so they took a picture of me in the tub before they put it. I'm very happy with, but when the tub got put in, I felt I don't want the old bathroom. So I'm on hold now and haven't turned it on nor filled it up since I'm getting the rest of my bathroom done, but I'm excited. Overall, they were professional and they connected the right pipes and did a good job installing it.

Safe Step's installation team was nice. However, they didn't hook up my spray nozzle. Although my basement is full, I don't think it would be too much trouble to hook and fix it. I'm hoping I can get that fixed, but other than that, I love it. I like being able to get back in the tub and soaking my feet. I still need somebody to help me a little bit, but I can get the spray on towards my back and legs, all by myself. Also, I have arthritis in my shoulders, and can't raise my arms. I'm in a good deal of pain, and a hot bath always helps.

I like Safe Step Walk-in Tub especially the massaging feature. I have less aches and pains from the therapeutic effect of the tub and I'm more relaxed. I think it's a good investment and as I'm getting older, I find a greater need for it. The sales representative came out, visited and went through all the questions that I had and information that he had to give to me, so I know what I was doing. Then I watched what the installation team were doing and made sure they were doing it to my satisfaction. They cleaned up after themselves. So overall, it's a very good experience.

I called one of the Safe Step Walk-in Tubs representatives in Tennessee, and he knew what he was talking about and assured me that the product had a very good warranty on it. Within a few days, I was called by the salesman who is a gentleman from Denver and said he could come right down and talk to me about it, which he did. He did a very good job of convincing me that the installation of the tub could be done here on time and with all the guarantees and that they could be out in a week, which I didn’t believe at all but they were. He also said that the installation could be done in half a day, which was exactly what they did do. The installation guys did an excellent job and knew what they were doing. I could tell by watching their work. They were very efficient and gave me confidence that the thing would work right.

I needed the tub because my wife has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and I figured that the only way she could take a bath is to have one of these things that are too comfortable. I've turned the heater on, and I'm hoping the heater works because that’s what my wife does. It's also getting cold. I know one part of it does work, and I'm quite sure that if it doesn’t, somebody would come right out and make sure it does. There are a number of features in it that are good - the heater, foot massage, and the back massage. The installation guys have done the work completely. It was installed, and we left for four weeks on a business trip so I haven't used it yet, but as far as the sales process, the installation process, and call experience.

Being 75 years old and using a body soap in the shower, it gets slippery and I can't even wash my head with one hand. That’s when I said, “I could afford it. I'm going to go with it and see what happens with the walk-in tub.” I chose Safe Step for several reasons. One, the door squared the bottom. Two, I don’t have a hose hanging down. It goes into the unit for the showerhead. And three, the drain doesn’t go down to pull the plug. It's got a drain handle on it that’s more effective.

When the installers put the tub in, they cleaned up the place, tore out the old one, stabilized it, and put in the new one. They did it the way it was promised. They ran the water twice because when you turn off the water in a house where it hasn’t been turned off, it comes out really crappy for a couple of times. So they did clear it up. I love the tub and have recommended it. I've explained to people why I went with Safe Step instead of the others.

Safe Step Walk-in Tub is great. I've heard good things about them and so far, everything went well. Their sales rep was great and helped us out quite a bit. But I almost missed the installation because when I got to the house, they were already working on it and almost finished. But those guys were also great and really professional. They went through the instructions, the whole nine yards. It's my mother's tub, but I like all the new features that they have like the bubble and the massage feature. I'm crazy about all of it. As a matter of fact, I have recommended it to somebody. I'm also thinking about trying to get one in my house.

I'm 84 years old and I've been thinking about getting a walk-in tub for a long time. And when I looked it up on the computer, I decided on going for Safe Step. Their sales rep and the installers were very nice and they were all very helpful. I've had my Safe Step for over a month now but I still haven't figured out how to turn on the jets. And I was really looking forward to them. But one gentleman actually went through the routine to help work everything out. But for some reason, I didn't get that particular step and I've tried everything but I still can't turn them on.

But so far, the only feature I don't like, and I've learned how to deal with that, is that when I go in and I turn the water on, it's cold and takes a while. So now I'd usually run it in the bathroom sink until it's hot, then when I turn on the one in the tub, that's about the right temperature. Other than that, I really enjoy my tub. It's convenient and I'm glad I've got it. I figured the problem I have with the tub is mine, and when it gets resolved, I'm sure it'd be perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.

We moved from Atlanta up to where we are now at West End, North Carolina. The house had two bathtubs with showers; one was a remote shower, the other shower is in the tub. I'm 86 and my wife's 81, and because we can't reach and lift our feet up high enough to get in the regular tub, I decided to put in one of the walk-in tubs.

The Safe Step dealer who came by was a very happy individual. It was an easy sale for him because we'd already decided we would go put one in and we just decided to use Safe Step. They did a great job with their construction and completed the project. They were easy to work with and we were happy with the product and the workmanship of the two individuals who installed the walk-in tub. It looks great and you can't tell that it wasn't there originally. It's a great deal and I enjoy it tremendously.

I've only been able to be in my Safe Step tub once, which was a wonderful experience. Because my son-in-law was tiling the bathroom and he's not well, so it takes him a while. He's finished now so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get in there. But my first experience in there was like heaven. The bubbles were awesome because I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. I came out of there with no pain. Slept like a baby. I'm looking forward to being able to get in there more often as soon as he finishes the bathroom.

All of the people from Safe Step were awesome and I appreciate it. The installers need to be patted on the back. I'm a nuclear engineer and a very big-time perfectionist. Every bead they did with the caulk is perfect. I went with Safe Step because their salesman taught me that it would have been a little bit bigger of a jump for me to get into Premier's tub than in Safe Step's because I'm in a wheelchair. He said that Safe Step's tub is so low to the ground, I can step into it on my own. He's a good guy and made me feel comfortable like they weren't going to rip me off. People love to mess over handicapped people and I think I have stupid written on my forehead. He also showed me how much money I could make as an incentive.

Everybody's torso is different and with Safe Step, It's so easy to adjust the water level to my body. The jets still work even though not totally covered. They get to my left ankle and shoulder blades, and I don't even get my hair wet. I posted a review on my Facebook page, and I've got a girlfriend wanting to get one in her house.

The installation team was very good. However, nobody told me that the tub took more than 40 gallons of hot water. When the salesperson measured the space, he said that it was fine and if they'll have any difficulties, they'll shove it through the window. I agreed as long as they didn’t tear off my frame. Initially, Safe Step was going to put in a tub that was too big. I had three tubs before they finally got one in. By the third time, I had already decided that I just didn’t want it because it was beginning to be a hassle. So they sent me a baby tub so that I could pay them. They ordered this thing from someplace with the doors off just to make it fit. This tub is so small and it's the worst thing I've ever seen.

I wanted the Safe Step tub because I love my bath. I was excited because I want to make it work for my arthritic body. I thought it would be a place to relax, but every time I go in and look at it, I get so upset. I'm having a horrible time. I'm not a huge woman and I can't even bend down and wash my ankles or stand up and take a shower. We're already in the process of getting a larger hot water heater, but here it is and I can't even turn and wash the right side of me because I'm so close to the door that I can accidentally open it.

I have the customer service number and I get these folks who are going to call me back but never do. I wish I could go straight to the top of the company. I tried to save money for a long time to be able to purchase this. I am really hurt because I have to pay for something that is so small and nobody gave me an option. They just put it in and I can't get the full use out of it. I don’t even know of a compensation Safe Step could do but I doubt if they would do any. I am very dissatisfied.

My husband had fallen in my original tub, and that can't happen. I saw Safe Step in a magazine, so I thought I would inquire about it. I didn't particularly like the rep asking questions about our health, and him saying he needed the deposit before they could do anything. I gave the deposit, but I don't see a receipt for that deposit coming back to me. On the other hand, I like the tub. Although we haven't used it that much because my husband has been sick, the availability is what I like. Moreover, it has enhanced the appearance of the bathroom and we like that a lot.

Excellent experience with Safe Step. The salesman was very good and the price was better than the others. The person who installed the tub did a great job. It was a terrific installation. We've only had the tub for a short time and I haven’t used it, but my husband has used it several times and is really enjoying it. It's going to work out great for him and he seems to be satisfied. We’d certainly recommend Safe Step to anybody who wants to pay the amount of money. It's very expensive, but it's something that was needed for my husband because he has severe joint problems.
