We did an online research for customer service reviews and Safe Step had the highest good reviews so we decided to go with them. They were also recommended by one of the guys who helped build our house. I spoke to their sales rep on the phone and he was very courteous and nice. The rep also explained everything well to my husband. He had spent extra time with my husband because he had a bunch of questions and the rep went through everything.

We had a great experience with the installers. They kept us notified of any changes in the scheduling of the installation and they called us beforehand. They were very courteous too. They had to do some extra for us because of the size of our bathroom and the tub seems well-built, so they did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves as well. They left the literature for me and it’s point-blank on how to use the tub. My husband’s favorite feature is the bubble therapy. After his first use of it, he was very calm. So far, I was able to use the shower feature and I had no complaints about it. I would recommend Safe Step Walk-in Tubs.

One of the things that was bothering me, partly because of my foot that had surgery, was my back has been very difficult because of walking. I couldn’t get into the bathtub and get massages, and I had decided I needed a walk-in bathtub. I had looked in stores and I've been looking around, but I saw a picture of a woman in the ads with a look on her face of pure content and I couldn’t help but look Safe Step up. They called and I liked what they had to sell, and the sales reps and install team were great. I have that look of content on my face now.

I like that I can walk into the Safe Step tub. I have really dry skin and I couldn’t take a bath because I couldn’t get up and down from the tub. I really wanted to take a bath but the older I got, the worse it got. I finally did it, and I’m so happy I did. Now my back is feeling better, and I can’t wait until my foot heals and I can go back to the gym and, from that, in my walk-in bathtub, as it gets better. Overall, I’m so glad that I got a better quality of life now.

I love my Safe Step Walk-in Tub. Their commercial on the television hit me at the right time. Because the tub had everything we wanted and it sounded like a good deal, we decided to go with Safe Step. Also, we happen to have the money to pay for the tub. Their sales rep was very nice. He just talked to us rather than pushed a sale. He explained all of the details and covered everything. I had a few questions about the tub, the door and some other things which I just couldn’t understand. And the rep explained in detail how they work so that I wouldn’t have any problem with them.

Their installers came in here about 8:30. My daughter came up with the idea putting it in the front bathroom, so we don’t have to disturb our master bathroom. By 3:00, the installation team was gone and my tub was in there. They were fast and when they left, I had no dirt or anything. We had a little trouble with the lever that lets the water out, but the installers came back and fixed that.

The walk-in tub works well and it covers everything for me. I'm claustrophobic so showers were getting worst. I also have a back condition and I can't stand up long enough to take a shower. When I’m in the tub, I get a little more feeling of comfort. People always say that it takes so long to get the tub filled. But, you can still use it if you’re in a hurry. Once I had a doctor’s appointment and I knew I couldn’t enjoy an hour or two in the tub, so I just got in there, locked the door, sit, and had the waters up to about my knees and I was taking a bath. And then I showered off after I got through. I really enjoy the tub. I recommend this brand and in fact, I showed off the walk-in tub to a daughter-in-law.

My husband surprised me and told me he had someone come in to explain Safe Step to us because my knees wouldn't pick me up anymore. I was using this pout for the water to make myself steady getting up out of the tub and he was thinking Safe Step would help me to step in the tub. The rep showed us some other choices in other stores in that little video when he was here. We had the timeline when he came and we were very impressed with him. We’re writing him a letter to tell him that because he didn't push. He was here a couple of hours and explained it all so we knew what we were getting. He was excellent and thorough. Then two fellows came for the installation at the time they said they'd come and cleaned up everything totally. My husband said they were very efficient and all professional. We asked them to take a break so we got them a pizza and they were still done on time.

I use the tub everyday though I don't use the jets as often. I like to fill it up to the seat and I get all washed. I sit down in the water and it's up all over my shoulders. It maybe a tiny tub but I’m so cozy in there because the two handles are perfect and strategically placed. I just lower and pull myself up with them and it's my favorite way to use it. The bubbles on it if we put the lavender in and turn the hose on makes my skin soft. It's a quick easy bath. If I want to relax longer, I'd tilt the tub up which is the jets. I sleep with the lights just for fun and the heater seems nice. I remember that the rep said about cleaning with bleach once a month so I make sure I do it on a regular schedule. He told me to use the Blue Dawn. I wipe it off every time and dry it. I wonder if there is anything extra to do to make sure that stays nice. I always weigh how in the world can a tubing that holds the water last for years and years.

We're very happy with Safe Step. We told a lot of our friends that we have it and my son would have one too if it weren't so expensive. Our neighbor that saw it even thinks that’s an added value for the resale of our condo. We also have a friend who is 92 years old that has one for three years and he loves Safe Step. We told him that we got it too.

I saw Safe Step on TV and after that, I just had to try them. I was trying another provider but they put me off so I felt like they didn't want to deal with VA so I stopped pursuing them. The sales rep of Safe Step was knowledgeable. He explained everything they were going to do. However, we had one glitch. He got the measurements wrong. When they came to put the shower, they couldn't. There was a big gap. They came in July and they couldn't do it then so they came back August 15. I had to go back to the VA and explain it. But the second time they came, everything worked out well. They did what they had to do and they did a good job. I like the chair where you sit down. I also like keeping the jets when the water is really hot. Also, you can take the jets off and adjust however you want to. I will suggest Safe Step to anybody.

My grandmother has Safe Step tub and she referred my other grandmother to try to get a tub because it's hard to get her in and out of the regular tub when she's not using her legs and we try to lift her up. When the first guy that came to see if my grandmother was qualified came he said there would be some type of shelf that she could put her books on but there was no shelf. We’ve been trying to call and no one has called her back. Also my grandmother is having a problem because the tub leaks at the faucet. Once she shuts it off it still drips because of the shower head. But they did good. The installation team did everything perfectly.

I had a really nice shower, but the humidity from it affects my end-stage COPD. So I opted to get a walk-in tub and I chose to buy from Safe Step over another company because of their price. My interaction with their sales representative was good but they were a little slow in processing my order. I made it my initial deposit around the middle of July and the installation only started last August 18. While I figured that it was normal, I was still a little surprised because I thought it may have been done in a couple of weeks. I also have one complaint about the walk-in tub. I have to close its door before I sit down and there’s not enough room for my knees. It’s a little cramped on closing the door and hot water passes on me if I'm sitting there. Still, it’s great to deal with a company that does what it says it's going to do. Also, the lifetime parts warranty is amazing and something unheard of. I would recommend Safe Step to family and friends.

I searched out Safe Step on the internet and they were the number one selling walk-in tub company and sounded better to me than the other ones, so we got a tub from them. Everybody there has been wonderful. As I called in, the sales rep was on the spot in a few days. His presentation was good and everything worked out fine. I also got a couple of courtesy calls from his immediate manager in Nashville.

The young guys who installed the tub were good folk and they worked as a team. As they worked, one of them was doing one thing while the other one was doing another thing, and they never got in each other's way. Then they cleaned wonderfully afterwards. They said that they would finish the job at 5:00 PM, but lo and behold, they were through with it at 3:00 PM. Safe Step was supposed to bring another front down here, but they haven't done so yet. I use the tub occasionally and I like the micro bubble feature. I can already tell the difference in my wife's skin, which feels softer, since using the tub. When she gets out of the tub, she's very likely go to sleep. It's a good product and I'm completely satisfied with it.

I got coupons for $2,000 and $1,500 from two companies that made the Safe Step walk-in tub, but I used the $2,000 coupon to purchase the tub. The sales rep, Jennifer, was precious and the way she explained the product to me was really good. I had no idea that the tub was as expensive as it was but she kept giving me discounts, so she got the price down, but I still had to give a good bit for it. The installers were super nice and awesome people. They installed the tub on the day of the solar eclipse, and they went outside with us and we enjoyed the solar eclipse together. But the caulking cracked a little bit and I had to call Safe Step, and the very next day they sent somebody down from North Carolina that recaulked around the top of the tub.

I like the little micro-bubbles in the tub and I'm now learning how to use that feature. When you get to be 80 years old, you fall apart. I have arthritis and problems with my legs, knees and feet, and I like the jets that blow on the front part of my legs and the jets in the back blow the micro-bubbles out toward the back of my legs. On the whole, my experience with Safe Step was excellent and I've already recommended them to a friend.

I have a bad back and I got diabetes and it's eased my arthritis out a whole lot. I don't have the pain in my feet like I used to have. My tub couldn't be any better for me. Two other company reps came to our house and made a presentation but we ended up purchasing a Safe Step Walk-in Tub. It was expensive and it was more than we had planned on paying but the installation team was great. The two guys were gentlemanly, efficient, skilled and knew what they were doing. They took out the old stuff and put the tub in and did a good job. They were a pleasure to have and their work looked good when they finished. There’s a couple of little quirky things but we have the books so we're learning as we go along. It works fine but we have to sit and wait for it to fill up. We've only used the tub a couple of times and I like all the jets while my wife likes the bubble thing.

I saw a magazine that had American Standard and Safe Step in it. I didn't want the American Standard because I heard that they had a lot of foreign parts in it. I've had three contractors and Safe Step was the only one I have seen that was as good as they were. The installers were perfect and the best we've ever had out. They put the tub in and one guy did the caulking. The tub looked like it just grew in there. I'm 100% satisfied with the tub and I love taking a bath in it. My wife calls it a small swimming pool and it's easy to take care of. She has several medical conditions and has psoriasis so she needs a nice warm bath to relax in and having the tub helps. After she finishes, she takes the towel and everything off of it, wipes it off a bit and it's done. I would recommend Safe Step walk-in tubs.

I liked that Safe Steps Walk-in Tub has an aircraft steel shape to it. It's also really sturdy and has a lifetime warranty, so if anything floods, they should move and cover that problem. And if I ever move, I can take it out and move it into a new home. Then I can always plug in a different type of tub in the house that I am in now. The rep was a really nice gentleman. He talked about their competition, what they do and what they have to offer. Then showed everything this tub had to offer. He then measured the area and he was very thorough with the demo.

We were intrigued by the microbubbles that are supposed to help clean us up. He said we don't have to use soap because these bubbles can get into our pores and help strip and clean our skin really well. My wife and daughter have Muscular Dystrophy so it seemed to be the better option. We also like that it's a lower step with about four inches to step into the tub and that the door is much wider too. The rep thoroughly went over everything and talked through the steps and we enjoyed his presentation. He didn't pressure us into anything and took his time. The experience with him was very good.

The two gentlemen who came to install were really synchronized and talked me through what they were doing. At that time, I had already started tearing the door on my bathroom. It was 24 inches, so, it was smaller. I also had one closet in the bathroom torn out. They cut the area open wider to put the tub in. We talked and they were really good. Then instead of putting a 24-inch door back, I ended up going with the 30-inch door. They made sure the cutout was set for me so that I can place my 30-inch door once everything was done. They were very thorough and professional. They treated me with respect and if I had a question, they did not hesitate to answer. They were a really good crew.

The Safe Step tub has been a blessing for me. The previous tub was much higher and my wife can't get in and she struggles to step up, so I have to physically help her get in, but she can step into the Safe Step tub. She feels comfortable and enjoys the Safe Step tub when she's in it, and my daughter feels the same way. It has been a wonderful experience.

Other than that, the tub is nice. I can get a bath or a shower in it, and it's made in the USA. Also, when I used the bath, it took the dead skin off of my feet. Safe Step is good for your body.

I have health issues and have a hard time getting in and out of my own standard bathtub. The Safe Step tub seemed more streamlined, easier to get in and out and they're a lot smaller than the other companies. Their rep came out and explained all the features and what was available. He offered to help me get it financed but I was disappointed what it wound up being financed for based on what he said he was going to have it financed for as far as monthly payment. It's $20 higher than what I had actually thought it was going to be.

The installers were very thorough, explained to me the features and showed me how to work it. After they installed the tub, they cleaned up pretty well. On the other hand, I did not know that I had to leave the water in it for 24 hours, so I didn't. When I set it out, it leaked on the floor. That was on a Saturday. However, they did not send a rep out until the following Wednesday to take a look at it. So, that was disappointing but they came out and found out why it was leaking and corrected it.

Part of my physical challenge is to be able to bend over and wash and clean my feet but the jets on my feet do a pretty good job and just really soaking in it. Also, I feel safer bathing now. It’s easier getting in and out although I am a little on the overweight size. I did not know that that was going to be a factor so, that was another surprise. On the other hand, I still don't know who the finance company is and I still have not received any documentation. They're expecting the payment the 1st of October. Also, I'm $12,000 in debt which I really shouldn't be. I probably would have put it off and not have done it. This way, I would've gone with a more standard shower with a seat.

Also, Doug, the head and store owner, was great about all of us coming to a decision and getting a price that we felt like we could afford. So, everything went great and I was really happy. I was ready to jump in it and they said I’ve got to wait because the caulking has to dry. I love the heated seat, the lights that you can change when they come on, and the bubbles. I look forward to getting in the tub and relaxing because of all its functions. It’s almost like going to the spa and I sit in it, turn my jets on, lay back and relax. At the time of life when I'd feel like I'd need something for safety or maybe something that would aid me with arthritis, this would be a great purchase.

We watched their video and, even though they said that the exercise there was for people with arthritis, my brother can get in the tub and exercise his legs. We just put the seat across the tub before and he was not really in the water. But now, we put him in the tub and fill the tub up, and he can do his exercise and turn the jets on. He's able to bathe himself and he enjoys it more because he can get into the water. Back then, you couldn't get him to take a bath and now he's been in the tub every night taking a bath. I bought a tub from a company in Orlando. First things I had to do was get a bigger water heater, another $1000.00. Then it still didn't fill fast enough. I would sit there for at least 20 minutes (getting colder and colder), then in letting the water out I would have to sit longer as the drain is rather tiny. Cold again! The lights and aromas are rather useless unless you're in your twenties and it's a novelty that does nothing for an 80 year old. I have had it 10 years (I can't afford another one) and everyone has complained about it. So, now I have a leak. The door has a lifetime warranty, but the people in Orlando have gone out of business, and the central number they don't even want to talk to me. Last time I had a flood that went out into the living room. I think it is a very expensive novelty that the company does not stand behind.

We purchased tub late June 2017. Installed 7/27/17. Installers were courteous. In addition to installing tub they removed old double vanity and mirror and installed new vanity and mirror that we had out of the box and waiting for them per agreement with salesman. They arrived promptly at 7:30 and worked all day into the evening to finish the job. They cleaned up after themselves well.

Then we used the tub. First issue was that hot and cold water lines were switched, so that they were opposite of what installer demonstrated. Also the jet lever is backwards... What says foot jets is really back jets and vice versa. We can live with all that. Next issue was that tub would not fill because water just leaked down the drain... The stopper wasn't sealing. I called and was told to remove the stopper and adjust the screw in its underside until the drain stays shut. I did so and the tub could be filled. Thinking we were home free my husband tried the tub again. Now the problem is that you can't drain the tub without holding the lever open. When you switch the lever to drain, the stopper crashes down with a loud thunk. It is quite uncomfortable for my husband to lean forward and hold the lever in place to drain the tub.

I made calls on 8/3, 8/10, 8/16. Installer who lives 5 hours away has been back to the house twice and the problem is still not resolved. When he was here 8/16 the tub indeed filled and emptied as it should, but the very first time we used it after that we had the same issue of not draining unless lever is held. If this were an inexpensive item, I might be content to live with the inconvenience, but when you pay over $14,000 for a tub it is inexcusable that it does not work as it should. I distinctly remember the sales person making a big deal about how easy it was to drain the tub...how much better their system was than any competitor's tub. At this point, a simple stopper on a chain would be an improvement. So...again I will call today. The 4th time in the first month since installation. Not what we had hoped for or paid for.

The only negative that I see in the tub is the locking door handle. My wife was filling the tub and accidentally hit the locking handle with her leg & the door popped open and flooded the bathroom. The following day the same thing happen to me but I caught before flooding the bathroom. Looking at the locking handle it would be so easy to redesign it so it would actually have a mechanism that would lock it in the closed position. We both are going to be attentive to the handle to be sure it stays in the locked position.

This is the third time I have tried writing a negative review. Every time I go to post it wow the website goes down, so I will try again. I am in pain 24/7. I have had eight back surgeries so I thought this tub would give me some relaxation and good water therapy. Boy was I wrong. I had a walk in shower with a good shower stool did a wonderful job but I thought that walk in tub would be better (Safe Step walk-in tub). This is also what the sales person was trying to tell me. It's harder to get in the tub than my walk in shower was. I have to step up higher, I have to remember to go in and turn on the heater to the back and the seat at least 15 minutes prior to a bath, then I sit there for 17 minutes (yes I actually timed it) waiting for the water to fill the tub which only comes between my boobs and belly button.

I don't understand where people said it is relaxing if you turn on the air Jet bubbles. It is so loud it'll drive you insane 32 minutes before even being able to try and relax with even the waterjets. I could've been in and out of my walk in shower be all dried off and ready to go but no. I was told that this would be relaxing and be helpful to my bad back. What a lie. I am a semi large lady so I bought the biggest tub they had. I'm not as big as I've seen other people but it's hard to get in and out small door. I thought I would try to slide down where the water would come up higher on my body but the only way to do that was thoroughly slide my butt off the edge of the seat, it is not even comfortable to lean back.

They installed a shower pole for me to use. The shower popped off. I have been hit in the back and on the head now because it falls out of the holder. If there's any way that I can afford to replace it I would but the damn time cost a small fortune. I knew better than to listen to these friggin sales people. I hate the tub. I want my walk in shower back, 100% safer, I can get a lot cleaner again. I hate the tub. I hope this will let me post it this time. This is getting ridiculous.

Safe Step Walk-in Tubs offered what the other ones didn't. They had a certain price for the whole deal and theirs was a bare necessity and then I pay extra to add on. The salesman and the installers were great all. The only problem I had with them was we had it upstairs and then we have a finished basement underneath. The bathtub comes out into my laundry room and when they broke up the old bathtub they left all those particles under the ceiling. It's that ceiling we have in our garage where I can push up with the broom and certain squares come open.

When I do that I still get a lot of particles all around my washing machine and down in it if it happens to be open. They should have run a vacuum down in there to clean that out. I know that they couldn't get all of it but there's still a lot that comes out. Other than that, the mess was cleaned up good. They put a blanket sheet down when I went up there, trying to save all that but they should have cleaned that up a little more.

At first I hated the tub. I didn't like anything about it. I had to fill it all the way up. But now if I'm in a hurry, I'll just get in there and soap up and use the spray and it doesn't take as much of my time as I felt like I did at first because I wasn't thinking that I could do that. I've had the tub for about six months and I like it better now. I can get more relaxed in there. I have a lot of muscle and joint problems and once I sit in there for a while I feel it loosens them up. I can also move a little better. It's not a cure but it has helped.

However, we have a couple of tiny problems that I haven't called in about. There's a little flat silver thing on the side and when I turn on the micro bubble thing it spews out of there and I'm not sure if it's supposed to. Also, the thing to open and close the drain with wants to pop up and down sometimes. They're minor adjustments but I want to make sure they're corrected before other things get out of hand. Also, where the micro bubbles come out at the bottom, I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a cover on that thing instead of a hole.

The installation guys were good, very prompt and efficient and they were in and out. From start to finish, it took them 5 hours, which wasn’t bad at all. They took out a stand-up shower, put in the tub, and they a good job. Overall, I'm pleased at this point.

I needed something for my feet. Showers are wonderful but they don't massage your feet and I've been having foot problems like older people do. I have a callus under my foot and I got tired of dragging those buckets around and soak my feet in and that gets to be a real pain too. I keep getting Safe Step in the magazines and we thought we needed one of those. I also have a neighbor next door that's Japanese. She said they are very popular in Japan and I'm going to love it. We went to a Safe Step store and the salesman we had was so nice. He said that they have cheaper ones at Lowe's and Home Depot which we didn’t know. The installers came and did a very wonderful job. They also did not leave any dirt.

I love my Safe Step tub. I got the one with the heated seat and it's really nice. It has the lights that light up and make the water really pretty. It also has the jets that are really nice too and I like it on low because it splashes on the floor otherwise. They really thought of everything. I use the tub every week and now, I don't have any more trouble. I can trim my toenails a lot better because I'm soaking in hotter water. I also put a little bit of their "Sleeping Lavender" in the tub which makes my skin nice, soft and I'm about five years younger now. The only thing that it doesn't have is music and it's not self-cleaning. Other than that, I've had a wonderful experience with Safe Step.

It takes a lot of maneuvering to get the door shut. If the door closed outward, I could use it. But as it is now, I can’t. Other than that, the tub's a wonderful thing and I like the heater feature. I've seen Safe Step in the AARP magazine, and their name was supposedly better and they're made here so I got them. When I spoke to a sales representative, his product knowledge was good. He seemed to know his stuff pretty well. Also, the installers were courteous and did a good job. They cleaned up, and left it in pretty good shape. My tub doesn’t have an inline heater, but they replaced it with the micro burst feature. The tub has two settings. There's the one for the regular jets, and you’re supposed to use it for 10 to 15 minutes. And then use the micro-burst for 20 minutes to get the max effect out of it. It works pretty good, and I like it.

But I only get to use it about once a week as a bathtub because I work a lot. I had a massive leak the weekend before last, and it broke my ceiling downstairs. The ceiling was all stained and wet, and it was right below the tub. Any time I used the handheld shower, the leak was coming out all over at the back. We took the two panels off and let it dry out. And then the guy came out and I had my daughter there because I needed to go to work. From what she gathered, all he did was tighten up the braided hose that goes to the shower head up where it was connected behind the faucet and all up in that compartment. But if what she understood was right and it was just loose, it's odd because I’ve never seen a problem before. And the guy didn’t write anything about what he did on the repair order that he left me. But it’s not leaking anymore, and my ceiling is drying and getting better.

Also, I have a 50-gallon hot water heater and should have a 75 to 100-gallon to really use the tub without taking all the hot water and running out before I fill it. I’ve been playing with water temperatures. I turn the heater up way high and I’m trying that. But I might have to put a bigger hot water heater in. Safe Step should have been upfront about that. I don’t have a problem buying another hot water heater if I knew about it. But, otherwise, it seems to be performing fine. And if I had a friend who's gonna buy a walk in tub, I would recommend Safe Step.

Our neighbor down the road had us come to their house and showed us their Safe Step Walk-in Tub. If we hadn't seen it from them, we never would have gotten one. There were unlimited ads on TV, but it is really the neighbor. Also, the salesman in this area was good. He had a tub in his van. When he came here, he parked his van in the driveway and showed us the tub. He didn't have water in it but we could see it. That is vital because you're spending a lot of money and you don't do this easy.

Safe Step is very nice but there should be some laminated literature that you can keep by the tub. If they could give you a nice 10-page little book to put up with the tub with pictures to show you exactly what to do. But we have nothing like that. Before you buy the tub, they send you some information in an envelope, but it's not user-friendly. That would be a very good PR thing to do. Also, sometimes I don't think our seat is heating up perfectly, but the other day, it did. The tub has some nice attributes, although we had a challenge and we had to put it upstairs because we didn't have space in our downstairs bathroom and we sleep downstairs.

Plus, I'm a diabetic and it wouldn't be a bad option for me as well. The installation team was great. They were professional, polite and efficient. They did absolutely everything they said they were going to do. If I had a complaint about them, there would be something wrong with me. I don't know how they did everything in the time they did it. I told my wife, “There is no way they're going to get this done today.” And they proved me wrong. They came in and tore everything out and cleaned everything up and put that new tub in. I was a little bit amazed.

We’ve been using the tub since the day they installed it. It's nice to get in there and have the seat heated. I have one recommendation though. They should add an adjustable headrest at the back, like behind the car seat. That's the only thing lacking on that tub, as far as I can tell. My second favorite things are the foot massagers and the calf jets. Because I'm a diabetic, I do have some leg problems and these features work really well soothing my lower legs.

So, we went with them, but I've had some second thoughts because it costs too much. As for the tub’s features, the jets and circulating water were all very good. But I don't understand why with modern technology, Safe Step cannot make water valves to combine so that one doesn’t have to adjust hot and cold water separately. They need to work on that. It was also a little bit frustrating with the installation team because they did not complete the job as I had expected them to. I asked them and they gave us answers that didn't turn out the way that I expected. Also, they found us a shower without including a shower curtain. He left a bit of a mess in my basement when they had to go down there. The other day, when I sat in the tub and turned on the jets on my back, when I got out, the side panel was loose. I had it squirting on my back and the panel protruded out. I got to push it back in, but I suppose it'll happen the next time I use it. So, I'm not happy with it.

Also, I have to sit in there and let it fill up but it takes so long. And when I get through, I have to sit there and let it drain and my back gets cool. That's normal but I don't like to sit there so long. Also, when I want to drain it, the bar that holds up the outlet keeps falling back in place and so I have to sit there and hold it. One of the factors that we chose Safe Step was the fact that the frame is built into the tub so if the house shifts, it won't shift. However, the sales guy lied to us about several things. He said they would have the install done in a week but it didn't get done. We were trying to get it done before my father-in-law came home from rehab. He also recommended not putting the water regulator on. We got to check with the company and they said it should have been installed - that it was done automatically on all the tubs, no matter what.

But our install crew, a father and son, was wonderful. We couldn't ask for better. They went the extra step instead of just slapping the end cap plastic piece on. They built a wall and it's beautiful. It's nice and sturdy. If my father-in-law goes and loses balance, he'd grab that wall to keep him from falling. I love the fact that the tub has all the safety features, all the grab handles. Having the tub makes things a lot easier than having to get my father-in-law in and out the regular shower.

We've already recommended Safe Step to a bunch of people. I do have one recommendation for Safe Step though. They need to figure out a way to make sure the door can lock instead of being able to open it where there's still water in it for someone who's got Dementia or Alzheimer's and accidentally forgetting and opening it and having water flood. We've had an incident here. And then we've got a friend who's got one. She went to get her wash rag, opened the door, and the water flooded down into her basement. Luckily, they got it dried quick enough that it didn't hurt the hardwood floor.

I was told that they could save the tub I had but then when they got here, they told me they couldn't. But then the installation was very quick and professional. However, they had to take a large part of my door down and I thought they should have sanded it and put it back as it was but they didn't. They put it back but I could tell where they had taken it down.

Also, they told me that the installer was going to handle everything and that my tub would be leveled. But when they got here, they told me it wouldn't be level unless they put a piece under it. They also charged me for that piece which was just a part of a plywood and besides the check I had, I had to make a check out to him, which I didn't like. Moreover, I thought I would be using it more than I'm using it now but I did not take into consideration the time for it to fill up. It takes a while to fill it up and when I'm in a hurry, that's wasted time.

I had fallen in the shower in our bath tub and my husband went in and found me lying on the floor. Fortunately, I wasn't hurt and I didn't break anything but he worries about me falling. I'm 83 so that's one thing old people do, fall. So, my husband decided to have the Safe Step Walk-in Tubs. During installation, two men came in and they finished it in one day. The best thing about the tub is when I get the water in and I squat there into the bottom, I let the water run around my shoulder. The water is warm so that feels good.

But right now, I'm not very happy with my Safe Step Walk-in Tubs. I was sitting in the tub trying to clean it and some way I hit the handle and the next thing was water is running out everywhere. And later when we had the cleaning girls went they found a leak back up somewhere in the pump, right at the head of the tub. So we called about that and they said they couldn't come 'til two days. I can't use the tub and my husband needs to turn the water off for two days. But they came and fixed that. After that, it has been fine. However, I'm afraid now when I get in it and try to clear it because the water runs out. I don't want to leave it and drain it when I get out. Overall, I'm satisfied with the tub.

My father moved in with us. He's 91 and has Psoriasis. He bought a Safe Step tub and really likes the iridescent features and the stuff that makes his legs feel better. The sales representative was really attentive. The only thing is we don't think he explained well enough the getting in and out of the tub. The door doesn't give much room when one can't bend their knees. I called the rep and told him that it wasn't working out because my dad can't get in and shut the door because it's hard on his knees and we wanted to see about the bigger tub. He came out and he actually had one in his van and got it out. We tried it out and that one works better.

They were supposed to give us a bigger tub. I know it's going to take more hot water and would require construction, like cutting the doorway bigger but we haven't heard anything back from them. They said it would take some time to get it but I thought we would hear from them right now and it has been four weeks since we had that conversation. The installation guys were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves, but they didn’t mention that they had scraped some paint off the walls. So, I'm going to have to repaint but right now I'm just waiting until I get the new tub. Overall, I’m happy with my experience, I just wish that they would stay in touch a little better. I like things where people really care about their customer especially when they spend $15,000 on something.

The sales rep was very professional and the only problem I had was with the expensive price. The installer came in, covered up the carpet so he didn't get it dirty, was really professional, and knew what he's doing. He worked by himself and got it done in one day. It was great and I have no complaints. The Safe Step walk-in tub is a good product for somebody who has a tendency of falling and my mom has a tendency of falling and I know she's safe in there. Personally, I like the little bubbles because they open up my pores.

Safe Step’s price came a little lower than the other companies I looked at. The sales team was okay and the installation team did a professional job of making sure that it was drawn in on a spot. They made sure it looked well and I’m grateful for that. I use the tub to help relax me and help with my herniated disc in my back. I try to enjoy it with jets and the colorful changes in the water. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that the water level is not high enough for my body. On the television, the lady laying in it has it covering her body pretty much up towards the neck and mine don't get that far. It stops to the breast but it but doesn't cover my chest even if I sink down more uncomfortably like sliding down.

The water also spills out from the jets when I turn them on. So the seat needs to be a little lower than the jet. I've been in it several times and I'm getting a little better adjusting with the tub. But even though I heat the seat, by the time the water gets to the jet level, I'd run out of hot water. So I have to sit and wait to get more hot water in the tub. I would recommend it to someone but I would tell them my points of what I see that I don't like.

We had a good experience with Safe Step all the way through the sales person to the installation. We made an appointment with them, sat down, went over a video and discussed what the product was. I already knew I wanted a tub and it didn't take too much to twist my arm to buy one. I like the door entrance to the tub so we went with them.

We had removed a large garden tub and originally talked about putting it in the same way to reduce cost on the flooring. But when the tub got here, it was evident that the tub would be too big and too far out on the floor. So we had to make a decision with the installation folks on where to place the tub. They were professional and we enjoyed the interaction with them. They cleaned up their mess and gave me a good training session. Today, I've got the flooring people here putting a new flooring around it. My wife enjoys the tub and I like the jets and the therapy bubbles. Although getting the tub, having it installed and finishing up the finer details has been an experience, we've handled it and we look forward to many years enjoying the tub.

We were looking for something that would be a little safer for my husband because his mobility is limited. Safe Step did a beautiful job installing the tub. It's a nice tub and cleans up really nice. But we wish that we didn't had all of those bells and whistles because he hasn’t used them. They’re too challenging and intimidating for him. It’s too much for a person who has any kind of dementia because they’re afraid of it. If you’re going to recommend it to a person under those circumstances, it should be more simple. I would’ve just gotten the seat warmer and the MicroSoothe. And I would've purchased a more stripped down model for him because he’s only gonna shower in it. So far, he’s taken one bath and it was very scary for him.

Also, the hot and cold water aren’t marked on the tub for an older person to see it. And it's difficult making that adjustment with those handles that they have on the tub because you have to keep playing with it. There should be something simple for those handles. Also, in order to get out of the tub, you have to open up the door and it goes right in front of the grab bar and you can hardly get at it. So we have another grab bar on the wall which works. The tub works and functions great, but it’s not good for really old people.

The way that they found us and contacted us was an interesting marketing. I was searching the internet for walk-in tubs and I got a pop-up that said, “Check prices on walk-in tubs”. I entered my information in a form and all of a sudden I have a call from Safe Step Walk-In Tubs. They called within 30 seconds of me filling that out. The sales guy came out and he was pretty persuasive. I kidded him when he came in and told him if he brought a sample, and he did. He brought it out of the truck so we could sit in it and see if it was comfortable. He was very knowledgeable. He looked at what our system was for hot water.

Then the key to the tub was the installation. The guys that came on was a licensed electrician. We had two 40 gallon tanks that go together. One feeds into the other. But then we need a huge water tank in order to fill these tubs as it holds 110 gallons. They asked that so we have enough water. We bought the larger one which was a couple of inches wider. The installers had to change electrical then there were all kinds of things that went on installing these tubs. They had to take off molding and they were phenomenal. They did an outstanding job and cleaned up after themselves. It worked out very well.

I like the fact that I can walk in the tub. I also like the water therapy part of it and that the door swings to the inside. The installers had a hard time with where the door would’ve swung to the outside because of the existing configuration of the bathroom counter and the stool thing. I did some purple and some turquoise with the room and made it look spa-like. It looks better than I thought it would.

We’re hardly using it, and we’re not quite ready for it. We use it when we’re through riding our bikes. It was something that we looked at versus putting in a hot tub, which we absolutely did not want to do. We had a good space for it and we’re 70, and we hope to stay in this house at least another 10 years so it will be nice. The only thing that they can do is not put their logo on the tub so large. It’s in a crest, but it doesn't hurt anything. It's pricey, but it’s an investment one can make. I'm a satisfied customer and it was a good experience.

Also, the heater that's supposed to keep the water warm doesn't. My husband likes to have a really hot one, so he likes the 104. But it won't hold the 104, it goes down to 98. I don't like it real hot, so I start out at 100 and even with the heater going the whole time, I end up at 94. It doesn't maintain the water temp like we had hoped. They put in an extra grab bar for us that my mother wanted to have. They couldn't put it on the tub but they put it near the tub.

When one turns on the micro bubble things, it debrides the tissue and gets all that every bit. It gets the scum because it does its job. My mother said she didn’t know she was that dirty. It also drains quicken than one would think. Safe Step was much more receptive in terms of returning the call and setting up an appointment. Their sales rep was very nice, very cordial, and knowledgeable. His responses to our questions were on point and adequate as to what we were asking. He worked with us on pricing and he also followed through on everything that he said he would do. The installers were fine too and one of them explained what they were doing, called us in between steps as to what they were doing and how they were going to go about doing it, and they cleaned up as well.

So far, I've only gotten in the tub one time but my husband's been in it several times. He has issues with is back and that was one of the reasons why we went ahead with the walk-in one 'cause we had the garden tub. My husband likes the microbubbles and the jets and that massage-type therapy. He still takes showers, but he feels better sitting down and being able to get in and out of that tub. The tub has made a difference in terms of accessibility and being able to go into the tub without stepping the higher step. The heating seat is good too so we're satisfied.

I really wish, however, that I would have reset the tub a little further back as that would have given a little bit of more privacy when you enter the bathroom. This would have meant a wider shelf in the back or the side of the tub. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend Safe Step and I have spoken to a couple people. They asked me and I suggested to them to call when they feel they want to go that route.

He said he and his partner would be in and out in one day with old shower out and new tub in, that included removing a small wall, and they were... All done by 5:00. They left everything clean and as they had found it. Plus the big bonus is the tub itself. We ordered the larger of the two and it accommodates us perfectly. I was concerned about losing our shower but need not have been. They attached a holder for the handheld shower wand. We attached a track shower curtain rod. I now have a perfect shower whenever I want and it has plenty of room. By replacing a walk-in shower we actually opened the room up and it feels roomier. Not to forget that the whirlpool tub itself is glorious.

My husband had changed all the steps getting in and out of our house so that I could manage them. Now the steps were no more than seven inches. But it was even getting to the point where I couldn’t make that, so I knew I had to have a really low threshold. I then started researching walk-in tubs, reading and watching every ad. When I saw an ad for Safe Step, I liked the fact that their tub had such a low threshold, because some of what other companies offer are really high, and I knew that I would not be able to get into it any better than I could get in a regular bath tub. Safe Step's was the lowest one I could find. So I called their number, and the representative who came explained everything so thoroughly, answered every question we had, and really was super informative. We then decided to get the tub.

The installer was nice, too. He didn't mind me peeking around the corner every once in awhile to see what was going on and explained everything thoroughly as to how it worked. He answered any question we had. He also made sure I could reach the handrails and grab-holds like it was made for me. This is ideal because I have trouble with my balance.

My whole family’s in love with the tub and they’re all waiting for their chance to come in and use it. My youngest daughter who is really crafty likes to decorate things so my bathroom has become a spa. This is so handy because it's in the house, unlike the spa that we had before which was outside. I could get up in the middle of the night if I want to and get in it. Also, my husband would not get in the spa, but he's getting in the tub. It’s really nice and I really enjoy the time I spend in there.

My contractor had done a lot of the prep work for it but they were in and out in no time and did a great job. The tub has a heated seat and the jets are good.

I chose Safe Step as they sounded like they had a lot going on. The sales rep was professional and the tub delivered what they said it's going to deliver. However, I get tired waiting for it to fill. I had to install a new water heater because it took more hot water than a 40-gallon one so I went up to a 50-gallon one. That was the expense I wasn't expecting, but it's okay. I like the jets and heated seat of the tub and it feels better when I take a bath in it.

I was looking for something that would be suitable for my mother who is in her 80s. Safe Step was the first company that I contacted and I liked that they were in Nashville which is close to South Central Kentucky where we live. The people that I dealt with on the telephone and the people who came to our home were very nice and they explained everything very well. They did a really nice job and I was very pleased.

My mother has not moved in with me yet but the tub's now taking up the space where my old bathtub was so I'm also using it. I just had surgery and I have only now started being able to shower so my favorite feature right now is the fact that I can sit down easily and shower. I don't have to worry about standing up and feeling out of balance or feeling like I'm not secure inside my bathing cubicle. It's been real good so far.

I went with Safe Step because of the cost, but the biggest sales factor was when Ted, their sales rep, came to the house with a tub. Not many people bring tubs to people's house for them to sit in and look at and actually make a decision about. Ted was wonderful, very nice and very thorough in the explanation of it. I'm disabled. I have arthritis in just about every joint of my body and my entire spine. I initially wasn't going to buy the tub because our budget is rather tight. But I was convinced that I absolutely needed it and it was worth the investment.

The installation took longer than they thought because they had to find a way to get the wire up to the tub. But other than that, it went rather smooth. All three guys that were here were very courteous and polite and explained the tub features to me. My back hurts so much on some days and the warmth of the tub and the jets take away the pain for a while. I've enjoyed it and I hope to enjoy it for many years to come. I like that I can just walk in and don't have to climb in it like I did my hot tub. I can just stand up and take a shower. It's a very nice tub.

On other hand, the tub is a little bit smaller than I thought it was but it works good. Also, it uses so much water until you can't afford to take baths every night. So, I take my regular baths and then about once a week, I get in the big tub. Other than that, I'm totally satisfied and I had recommended it to my sister.

I've known about Safe Step for an awful long time. But I've had a lot of troubles with my back in recent months and that's when I sort of got interested in it. The installation team was great and I'm satisfied with the tub. It's beautiful, I enjoy it and it's made a lot of difference to me. Now I don't have to break my back taking a bath or shower. It's comfortable and when I have a bath there are less aches and pains. It didn't make the rest of them go away.

The only thing that bothered me about the whole thing afterwards was when I called and they didn't come to me. I came to them about the tub and they told me that they would quote me a price and it would be good for a year but that was only partially true. They did quote me a price which was pretty outrageous then they offered me all these discounts, but those discounts were not good like the original price was. And part of their sales pitch was "we don't put a lot of pressure on you to buy" but that's not true because there was a lot of pressure involved when they told me that there's about $6,000 worth of incentives that were only good if I bought it that same day. I had a little bit of nasty taste in my mouth because that reeks of deceptive advertisement.

I understand the business aspect of it and I didn't mind it provided they gave it to me upfront. It wouldn't have been a big deal and I would have still bought the tub anyhow if the price would have been good. It's just that I was making a $13,000 decision in one day and in a couple of hours, even less than that. Whereas I might have changed my mind on how I paid for it. I had the cash and I needed to do some figuring on where I was going to spend my money but rather than having the time to figure that out, I was sort of pressured into buying it that day so the easy way to do that was financing and I'm sorry I did.

Here nor there I still had 3 days to cancel my order which by the way was a fully stocked tub with all the bells and whistles for $11,400.00. I was going to finance a portion of the amount so he asked me for my social security number to get approved. The next thing I know (after I canceled within the time limit) not only did they try to cash the $1000.00 deposit check, they opened a credit card without my permission, with a credit limit of $1000.00 over the amount I was going to finance and an interest rate of 26.99%!

They charged the card for the amount I would have owed them, again without my knowledge. It wasn't till 2 weeks later the credit card arrived. I called the bank and they told me they were going to open a fraud investigation. It has been 3 weeks since I canceled my order and they never reversed any charges they put on this card. Not only do they sell tubs but they are Identity thieves too.

Safe Step is made in the USA and their corporate office is in Nashville that's why I bought from them. Our tub was installed the first part of December. In one day, the installers brought the tub in and installed it after they took my old Jacuzzi tub out. They had to reroute my plumbing to get it in the position that it needed to be for my husband because he had a stroke and his strong side is on his right so they had to reverse the plumbing. The installers were professional and cleaned up after themselves. They did a very neat job and I was happy with the installation.

Our tub is very attractive and different people who were here talked about how they were impressed with it because you don't see too many of those in homes. It was pricey, though, and I was surprised about that. But it had everything on it that we wanted and I was impressed. The only thing negative is if you have a door on it, you have to get in before you run the water and let the water run out before you come out. I'm used to running the water and then getting in it. But I bought the tub so it would be easier to get in and out of.

The only way we take a bath now is through the Safe Step tub. My husband can't take a bath any other way. The tub is perfect that we can take a bath or a shower whichever we need to. It's therapeutic too with the kind of jets. However, I used the shower wand on my husband and the first time after I used it and put back in the hole, it got tangled under around some pipes and wouldn't come out. I called Safe Step on Monday and someone came a few days after. The technician looked under, got it untangled and rerouted the hose so that it wouldn't get hung up again.

We had called a couple of other walk-in bathtub companies and didn’t get anywhere near the same response that we got from Safe Step. When we called, a person came over and went through everything with us. Their installation crew was stellar. When they were breaking apart the old tub, a big shard of that tub hit and destroyed the toilet that was there. They replaced it with no ifs or buts. They had to rip apart the door frame during installation but they put it back and I couldn't tell that it was ripped apart.

My wife, myself and her 91-year-old mother have been using the tub. It has been much less traumatic getting her mother into that tub and getting her cleaned than it is trying to get her into a shower especially during winter. The microbubbles have been our absolute favorite. Safe-Step has exceeded every expectation I could ever have.

It has what they call microbubbles which has negatively charged ions and when women put these creams on it's supposed to remove the outer layer of the skin with obviously a chemical process. I like the bubbles and so forth but they weren't as hard as I was hoping. I wish they were harder and the force from the jets are stronger. Since I used the tub, there's a little bit more spry in me. Nonetheless, I would be happy to help promote Safe Step.

I found it difficult to get in a tub after my back surgery. My husband researched the Safe Step Walk-in Tub on the computer and it seemed to be the best one on the market according to the ratings. It was a little pricey but it fit all the criteria for us and I didn't want to go with something inferior. It's there forever too. I called their toll-free number and the lady who came to see us was perfectly great. She did a super good job of explaining everything about the tub and we negotiated some on the price in making the final decision. I was pleased with the rep and we had a good visit.

The installers were great too and the installation went smoothly. I was also involved with most of what they were doing. They installed one of those switches for when the power was to get cut off for some reason and they let me choose where to put it. They went over everything after they did the installation and they cleaned up everything. When they left, my bathroom looked better than when they came, but I had to wait a day for everything to set up. Also, the first time I used the tub, I didn’t completely lock the door. My husband came in and he said there was water on the floor. He then reached over and locked the door.

My surgery was very severe and cut through a bunch of nerves in my back that are trying to regenerate. I also have something like neuropathy that people who have diabetes have and I have pain in my legs and burning feet. When I go to bed and everything gets quiet, I feel everything. But I was in the tub last night and I didn't have that feeling. It was wonderful. That was due to the jets, the massaging, and the warm water. It's a great experience.

The feature that I like is you have to sit in there for the water to come in and it's nice that as long as you sit there, the water stays warm, which I love. But if you fill up one of those other jet tubs, by the time you get that much water and you get in it, the water would start cooling off within five minutes. With my tub, you can lounge in there for half an hour. It wouldn't be very practical if you didn't do that. This uses a lot of water, though, and as a conservative person, this bugs me a little bit and I use it once a week. I have to pick and choose my time because it's a while that I get a sit there and enjoy as it fills up. I have to carve out about 45 minutes for a bath, which is okay for a retired lady like me. It's fitting me and my life. It's very relaxing as I listen to ebooks and tapes. But for someone who has less time, it might not be okay.

I wish, though, that I could put my husband in it when I get done. But that's not possible because you have to drain then open the door for another person to get in. The tub is big enough for the both of us and I teased my husband to get in with me the first night I got in there. But he told me that he would have to climb up on a stool to get in. I wish there was a way you could do that and let two people enjoy it. A kid might be able to climb up and get in but an adult male is not going to. It's a nice addition to our bathroom. It's attractive and it works well. I'm happy that we got it and I would recommend it.

He convinced me to buy one and I like that Safe Step is made in the United States. I also like that Safe Step has a lifetime warranty. The guys who installed the tub were excellent people and I even invited them to have lunch with me because they were very efficient and the job was done about 5:00 pm.

I needed the tub because my wife has Alzheimer’s and dementia and I have to take care of her and bathe her. She gets easily into the tub however, it would be better to have a tank of 74 gallons because if I have done for example washing my clothes before I get into the tub, the water is not hot enough. I figured out that I have to put the water heater on full to have enough hot water.

It's an excellent product and my most favorite feature is the foot massage. However, there are two minor changes I would suggest. First, my wife tried to open the tub from the inside. So I think it would be very important to have a second device on the outside to secure 50 gallons of water from going out of the tub. And second, I noticed when I'm sitting in the tub and I have to reach the soap, I have to get up. It would be nice to have a device where we have our hand soap so we can reach it easily. But I'm very happy and everything is working fine. It is an expensive investment, but I could have maybe installed a walk-in tub for $3,000 less but then it's made in China and I don’t have the warranties and nobody is responsible.

The installers who came out did a great job but since that time, both mom and dad have had buyers' remorse a little bit. They're not real happy with the function of the product but not the product itself. The fact that my dad can't stand there and take a shower like he used to downstairs is a little discomforting. And my mom actually hasn't even used it yet which is disconcerting to me.

I've let the rep know and he responded in a very timely fashion about what options are available, what we can do and how we can do it. So now I'm trying to get my parents to get the heated seat, the jets and spend their money on what they're happy with. And if there's a way to rig a shower curtain so that my dad can fit/stand while showering they should do it too. I know there's a fixed mount on the top of the tub that makes it very convenient to use while he's sitting but I don't know if they mounted a bracket so that he could technically stand up in the thing, leave the drain up and take a shower because it's what my dad would like to have done. So at this point, we're still in the process of moving forward with this.

My favorite feature is the warming seat. I am definitely more relaxed because previously, I was stumbling and falling in the tub/shower combination. My other tub was unusually high and I'm 72. I had a hard time getting out and I almost fell several times.

The installation team was wonderful and the sales rep was knowledgeable. The only thing is that on the first day, I had to leave it filled for 24 hours. I got in, took a bath, filled it up again and it worked fine. Now, there is trouble in the drain, it won't hold water. The rep said that he will contact me and come in to take pictures of it, and I'm patiently waiting.

I also use the jets and I have tried to use the handheld thing but I can't get it to work. It just goes back and forth constantly because that's the way it's made and I don't know why I can't get them to work with me and my brain. I'm kind of learning from the person who wants to teach me how to use a computer but anyhow, it's a matter of what I've learned and what I have done on my own. We had a very good experience with our Safe Step sales rep. He was very knowledgeable and addressed our concerns. He also was considerate about letting us discuss when we were making the decision whether or not to purchase the tub. We also spoke with a sales rep from another company and both of them exerted pressure on us to buy their product. But we actually got to see the Safe Step tub and ended up buying it. Also, the installation crew was great.

I like the microbubbles feature of the tub as well as the jets. And we really needed the walk-in feature. Right now, we're still in a learning curve and we're still having incidents. I flooded the bathroom yesterday. We feel like that it takes so much time to actually benefit from the jets that most of the time we don't feel like we have that time to spend. All in all, it's well done and it's very professional. However, I feel like their sales rep made a couple of statements after the tub was installed and we got the written information. One statement in the written information diametrically opposed what he said. I emailed him about it and got no response. I would have liked to receive a follow up from them sooner. I have a couple of issues that I need to address with someone and I'm not sure how to do that.

Safe Step Walk-in Tubs looked more appealing than other walk-in bathtub companies. Their sales rep was very informative and explained pricing and the use of the tub very well. The installers were excellent too. My wife has been able to use the tub and she seems to like it real well. She's probably more secure in it than she was in the shower. She has trouble with balance and walking and this is much better for her.

Elsie has problems getting on tubs to take a bath or shower. She couldn't step over so we liked the low step in of the Safe Step tub. She also can't stand the whole time and it's got a nice heated seat so it all worked out for her. The sales rep was friendly and the installation crew was good. However, they left a big hole under the walk-in tub that they didn't do anything with and we're disappointed about that. A friend of ours at church was the one that found it and animals could have come up in there. Elsie also caught the cold air coming in from that hole and it should have gotten plugged. We had the plywood to go under it to cover it up and if they have said something, we could have had it done right then. But other than that, things are all right. Rodger likes the whole works of the tub and we both feel great when we get in and get out of it.

The jets are very nice and looks wonderful. My wife has been having a lot of trouble with arthritis and tendonitis in her feet and she has seen a difference in that. Everything has been good. My husband has trouble walking and neither of us could take a bath because we couldn't lift our legs up high enough to get in the bathtub. I was looking at literature I got in the mail where they were talking about people that are aged and what they could get with the Safe Step. I had fallen before and at my age, I was afraid that I would break something and would have to go to the nursing home, which I did not want to do.

So I decided to buy a Safe Step Walk-in Tub. Everything went well with the sales and installation although we had to have them do another tub because with my husband's height, he couldn't get the door past his legs. Other than that, everything else went fine. Now, I'm able to step in it and sit down to take a bath, which I haven't been able to do in 5 years. I feel more comfortable now being able to take a bath rather than just a shower because I can sit down and let the water flow over me.

But we opted for Safe Step because we felt they had better quality and pricing. The sales representative was excellent and the installers who came out were very good. We have whatever they all offered as standard features of the bathtub. We like its utility and the safety it brings. It seems to serve its purpose and what it's advertised for. However, we use the shower often and we seem to have a little problem once in a while keeping the shower water inside. I find it difficult to understand how the water doesn't roll out on the floor inside but it appears like it's tapered a little bit. I can't feel it or anything and I'm worried about the shower hose coming from inside the tub and that some of the water's not going back in there. But I'm ready to recommend them anywhere and I already have.

A Safe Step salesman came in our house and explained their program. He showed us a video of how everything works, what we can do to the walk-in bathtub, and talked to us about aromatherapy and the different types of oils we can put in it. He was a great salesman and he really sold me. My wife and I were torn whether or not we wanted to get it because of the price, but he was able to work out some deals since I'm a disabled veteran. They also have a lifetime warranty on it and they're here in San Antonio so it's not a problem getting someone to come in and do some type of maintenance if needed. Then, one of the installation guys came in the morning while his partner came in at about mid-noon and it took them about six hours to complete the job. They cleaned up, showed me exactly how to work all the knobs and controls, and filled it up with water to make sure that it was tight and no leaks.

I used the tub within the next three days and my favorite features are the jets and the aromatherapy. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so the jets do good on my joints and my muscles. I like to soak. Once I used it when I was fairly tired, I slept good through the night. So if I get in the tub, I can't go anywhere the next morning because I'm so relaxed it's hard for me to get up. My wife also likes the little air bubbles that it produces. I'm in a new neighborhood, so I'll be recommending Safe Step as an option instead of a tub to some of my new neighbors who are moving in, especially to some older couples. The experience was great and seamless. The time frame was great and only took less than 3 weeks from the time the sales guy came out and showed me the product to the time that it was installed.

My cleaning woman knew I wanted to put a tub in, so she brought to me an advertisement of Safe Step Walk-in Tubs that came to her. The sales representative and the installation team were good. The one that sold me the tub said they'll wear their things on their shoes but they didn’t. They did put down the cloth but then they moved. Now I had a couple of snags in my throw rugs but I didn't say anything. I know it's a job. Also, there was a strip from where they put the tub in that the caulking came all loose, and it looked terrible. But I just had to have my neighbor do some caulking after as I didn’t see it when the installers left and maybe they didn’t either.

I like the jet for my back and it helps my legs. I may have surgery and I'm going to see the surgeon in November, so I'd use it. I wanted to use soap in the tub. I read the literature they gave me but it didn't say if I could. However, someone said I shouldn't use soap in it. I'll just try to find out a little more about it. Other than that they were nice and they did pretty good.

Our Safe Step Walk-in Tub had everything we were looking for. We were interested in it and got a very reasonable price. Mike helped us understand the different prices that different ones were going for. Then he had his tub with him in the vehicle, so we got to experience that. He wasn't pushy. The installation team put plastic down on my floor and cleaned up after themselves when they left. We love the tub's microbubbles and the jets. It also has aromatherapy and a handheld water sprayer for showering. It's great therapy.

There are two things about the tub that we're gonna have to deal with. One is with the 50-gallon tank, we don't get the tub full and have to sit in it and wait for 20 to 30 minutes before we can add more water. I have to put in an as needed hot water system because that’s what it will take to make the tub work correctly. The other thing is because we can’t fill the tub up, we can’t use the back jets and just use the bottom jets. If we turn the back jets, it just splatters water all over the bathroom. The two top jets can only be used if the tub is full of water and have to be under water. So, I wish that the top jets were just either not there or lower. But other than those two things, we would do it again. Those two factors would not keep us from getting the tub.

The guy that came to sell Safe Step was just as nice as he could be. He didn’t push us. In fact, he was surprised when I said, “Well, let’s sign it.” The installation team did everything wonderfully. It was raining and everything worked out great. We have a three-car garage that we opened up, they just backed up right to it and worked out in the rain. They went around even sealing the cracks that I didn’t want to take a bath to have it so clean. The only problem was finding somebody that wanted the bigger one with jets that they took out but eventually we did.

My daughter and I both talked to the sales rep. He was very pleasant and wasn't pushy, he just told us what we could expect with the tub and I was impressed.

The installation team was also fine. My son-in-law was the one who spent time with them, watched them put it in and I'm sure he was pleased with what work they did. The only thing is it takes so much water to fill the tub up. It also drains a whole lot faster than it fills up, and my water bill goes up some but I can live with that, I prefer the convenience and luxury of the tub than having a smaller water bill. I have monthly payments to make but I haven't gotten any of the paperwork yet to get started on that. I thought a Safe Step walk-in tub might be a safer alternative for me since I've been having a hard time getting in my previous tub and I have fallen in or out of it a few times. The sales rep was friendly and a nice guy, but the clean up after the tub was installed could’ve been better. They cleaned up the best they could, but there was still quite a mess on my carpet and the bathroom floor. There was sheet rock all over the place. They had to take my bathroom door down, remove a bunch of sheetrock, take the trim and a couple of stuff out to be able to fit the tub in there.

I've been enjoying the tub and I love being able to step up in it, the flexible shower head, and the heated seat. At first, I wasn’t able to fully enjoy it because I didn’t have enough hot water on my heater. It was about 40 gallons. What I'd usually do is take the flexible shower head and bathe, tap the stopper and fill it up with hot water, and then finish filling the tub with cold water. I had my gas company come out and put one of those on-demand hot water heating system in, which within a minute of turning it on, instantly gives us hot water. It's expensive but it heats the water quickly. But even before settling my hot water problem, having the tub has allowed me to bathe more frequently because I can jump in it and use the shower head, and get out quick.

The biggest design flaw is the locking magnet mechanism on the door. I weigh about 250 pounds, but because of my stroke, my left leg and arm are paralyzed. When I wash myself, my knee hits that locking mechanism and unlock it, and I let 10 gallons of water out on the floor. There needs to be a latch or something to prevent the lock handle itself from being unlocked. I'm an engineer and I have thought of things to do it, but I hate drilling holes in the door myself. Once I open the door, when I fold it back to get into it, it once tried to close and it tripped me up a few times which caused me to fall.

Also, it could stand to be a little bit there because I have a hard time getting in and out of it. The opening between the door and where the door closes makes it hard for me to get in because I have an orthotic that I have to wear to get in it. And then once I sit down, I take it off. But when I go to get up, I have to get out without it and my foot rose and it's very difficult for me to get out of it. I don’t see how a 300-pound plus man could get in and out of it. Also, half of my jets don't work. I called the sales guy that came out here about it, and he didn’t tell me what to do. I'm also gonna call the main installer back because they brought their own grab bars to install for the tub and my existing ones were gone. I don’t know what happened to them.

A friend in Kerrville, Texas bought a Safe Step walk-in tub and was so impressed and so I looked into it and the next thing I knew, I had one in my house. The sales rep was very, very knowledgeable. He convinced and told me about several things I hadn’t even thought about and I was impressed. The installation team was very professional. They put plastic over the carpet and were very careful so everything was good. I have no problem with it and I would recommend Safe Step to anybody. I love all of the tub. Even though I don’t use the tub daily, when I get extremely stressed, tired, or have a lot of back aches, I use it and it seems to make me feel a lot better and takes care of the stress.

I had already practically given in to the Jacuzzi salesman, but he told me things that turned out not to be true. He was telling me that Safe Step had an F rating in the Better Business Bureau and I looked this up while he was here and it came out to be an A plus. I got some extra things with Safe Step, like the tiling on the wall for the shower because with Jacuzzi, they didn't even go into that possibility but I would have just gotten the tub.

The sales rep from Safe Step was very easy to get along with and actually brought a sample of the tub along with him on his van that I could try. It was too small and he stepped up to the next size, which is just about right. However, I was told he would send a cushion for the seat because I have a bad hip joint, and it never arrived. But I got some things that I didn't expect in the deal that I wasn't charged extra for.

I feel safer with the tub, but I haven't gotten its full advantage until I get a water heater that's big enough for it, so I've been using it mainly as a shower and it has been convenient. The shower head is removable and can be used more conveniently. Because of the way that it was installed, I don't have to worry much about the water getting out on the floor, although I've been putting up a shower curtain. The only thing is the little cap on the grab bar on the wall above the tub comes loose every once in a while. It was an excellent experience overall.

The install team that came in were absolutely great. They worked so hard and cleaned up after themselves. I have no complaints whatsoever. I'm just very happy with my Safe Step Walk-in Tub. I'm 82 and my skin is very dry but now with Safe Step my skin feels better. I'm really in very good shape for my age and this was something that I did thinking more like down the road when I wasn't able to get in the shower. Will I still fit in the shower or will I be sitting in the tub maybe two days a week? I just love the tub. It's very relaxing. I've already recommended Safe Step to people. They build out on the plumbing and gave me a demonstration before they left. However, there's no published information on how to operate the various features of the tub so I had to rely on my memory as to what I saw to achieve what I expected. I haven't used all the features yet but the lower leg jets are very helpful and its use is beneficial. There's immediate relief following the use of the tub although it's not long lasting. I still have not been able to activate the Jacuzzi jets on the back and would like to know how to do so to maximize the benefits.

We're happy with the Safe Step walk in tub. My 90-yr-old mother has a little bit of problem getting into the shower and my wife is falling in the tub. If it wasn't walk-in, we wouldn't have gotten it and just stayed with what I had. Now, my mother can now take a bath again and my wife, having back problems, has been looking for this too. We have a sauna in the master bathroom, but she can't step over the tub like a spa. This is something that I wanted, and the sales rep sold me two, which I took back to one a couple of weeks, thinking about ripping out that whirlpool and back.

My wifehas the microbubbles she had on the tub that she loved back in Wisconsin which she's quite happy about. The grandkids absolutely love it, with some bubble bath and big whirlpool. The light therapy is also very pretty. The heater is nice, but I just wish it would heat up a little faster. When I first start filling the tub up, the water is cold on my feet then it warms up. It also takes a long time to fill the tub. Other than that, we're quite happy. We just need a new coat of paint.

The installers were one of the top ones but I was a little disappointed. When the sales rep came in, he said everything would be finished up nice. I had it pictured in my mind what it was going to look like. We discussed about having to remove the door frame to get the unit in, which is unfortunate, because when they put the door frame back in, it pulled up some tape and wasn't finished where I can actually live with it. I have to ask someone come in and repaint it. But they were quite pleasant. They arrived fairly early and stayed very late. They had to go to the store to get additional things that they needed, and said they were supposed to supply more of indent.

It took a long time from the time I ordered it to the time it was installed. It's not like we were going anywhere, and couldn't live without it for another few weeks but I was on the impression it was going to be a quicker job and that it wouldn't take as long to get it installed. Also there were some paperwork discrepancies so I called them and they gave me a discount. Generally, they did very well.

The sales representative seemed to know his business and sold all the features. The installation team did an excellent job. I got in the tub and soaked there for a while. My daughter who is a nurse helped me get out and I felt so much better. It made the cramps go away almost immediately. However, the hardest is getting in and out of the tub. My daughter said to put a little stool in the tub which I did but when I started to get out, I slipped and bumped my head on the end of the top part. If I had really bumped it really hard, I might have been a drowned goose. When I got out and got dressed, I sat on the chair, put the television on, and the first thing that came on was the Safe Step so I called them.

Kip, the sales person, was magnificent. He had one in the back of his truck that he showed to me. I like every bit of the tub - the lights that change the color of the water, the aesthetic part, and the jets. I feel more relaxed and love every bit of it. I'm not having cramps quite as much. I still have them once in a while, but not like I did that day, which was a horrible time. I never had them like that before and hope to never have them like that again. I’ve already recommended Safe Step. I got two other people that are interested and also mentioned them to my sister-in-law who bought one. Safe Step is absolutely glorious.

Also, the installation team did several things that were terrible and which I discovered after they left. They knocked a hole in my bathroom wall that I haven't had the chance to get fixed yet. They knocked some paint off from the edge of corner in my hallway, in an effort to get the tub into the bathroom. One of my bathroom towels was missing too and I don't know what they used that for. They didn't tell me about any of those things which obviously they knew I'd find out about. It made me feel very uncomfortable about them.

I wouldn't recommend the installation people to anybody but the installation of the tub seems to be fine. I like the bubble jets of the tub. It has a fine bubble thing that comes in on the left side and it’s supposed to be able to get into my pores, which seems good. But when I turn that on, the back bubble jets quit. I don't know if they can be operated at the same time and have to figure out how to make them work simultaneously.

The salesman from Safe Step was a very nice seller. I was also very pleased with the installation team. The tub gets me cleaned and I use all of its features. However, I had a few problems, the worst thing was it took so long to fill the tub up. The spigot of the faucet was the reason it takes so long to fill up, it does not let enough water in. The installation guy said 9 gallons a minute but it won't get 9 gallons a minute with both spigots on. Plus, one lady called me from Safe Step argued and said the problem was the water supply. I've got a half-inch pipe coming through it and Safe Step got the size restricted down, it's 21/64", and came so much into the cutoffs. That's when I changed the cutoffs, put a straight line and now the tub fills up in 12 minutes. But overall, the tub works very nice and I'm satisfied with it.

We went online looking to get a tub and we did some comparisons and set up appointments. When Safe Step's representative came out, he was very informative and was an awesome salesperson. He answered all of our questions and was straight to the point. Safe Step had great customer service throughout the whole experience. My father likes the walk-in feature as well as the jets and lights. He feels more relaxed and a lot safer when he gets out of the tub.

I chose to go with Safe Step Walk-in Tub going by the guarantees they offer. Their sales representative was very informative. The installers came in and out with ladders and equipment. I didn't notice any big messes after they left. The tub I have has the seat and the back heater plus the jets on the back, feet, and legs. I still haven't tried everything and I only got out the material last night on all that it does. I had no idea it required that much to keep the pipes cleaned, which is gonna be a problem for me because of my medical problems. My family did not want me to get it since they thought it was too much. Nevertheless, I'd recommend this tub.

I get in my Safe Step tub, turn the water on, and feel much better when I get out. I like the micro-bubbles because I like to go dancing and I like to keep my legs in good shape. The tub is beautiful. My daughter loves it, too. She uses it more than I do. She fractured her back and it's been a godsend. The tub helps her back when she gets in it. And her husband also takes a shower in it. I would recommend Safe Step. I've told people down at the center about them.

I love my tub. With Safe Step, you get what you pay for. I paid a lot of money for my tub, but it's worth it. The other tubs I saw weren't as nice as the one that I got. I have a bad back and had back surgery, and my walk-in tub surely helps me. The sales reps were nice. I have no complaints. The installation team were fine and good too.

We are not happy with this Safe Step tub. When we had it put in, the guy said that the 40-gallon of water heater is plenty big enough. However, the first time we sat down to use the tub, the hot water got to our knees and that was it. No more hot water. Also, we haven't even been able to use the jets and the shower. That's what we bought it for because we both have arthritis. All we can do is sit in there and take a bird bath. I'm very dissatisfied because the guy put this in all over the country so he should have known that the 40-gallon was not going to do it. Other than buying a new water tank, it's not going to get remedied and we can't afford to do that now.

We had a garden tub that required for us to really step up big to get over into it and another big step to come out of it. Since I’m 86 and my wife’s 84, so for our own health's sake, we needed to get something that was much easier to get in. Safe Step is very expensive, but the tub is very good. We really like the convenience of just stepping in and sitting down, and then we get a hydro spa massage from the movement. Then we had to spend more money to put in another water heater, but we're in a little condo and we can't put in a larger one so we just have to manage it and be very careful that we don't wash dishes or do laundry just before we use the tub or we run out of water.

The young man I talked to was the best salesman I've seen. He was very gentle, kind and knew how to emphasize the good parts of the products. He told us about the Micro-bubble and how it would help cleanse the skin, and my wife and I thought that it would be good. Then they had three men came out for the installation. They called ahead to make sure we were there and then showed up right on tim. They got into it and they knew exactly what they were doing. They put down a layer of plastic, so that when they walked in they were not touching our home at all. We had to wait a day because they wanted to make sure that the sealant had a chance to set up. They did a great job of putting it in. It's professional and looks really good.

I did some research and Safe Step seemed like a better product. I like the framework and the door. The ones from the other companies didn’t seem well built. The Safe Step rep was better than a lot. He did an extensive analysis of the product and gave me a video. Some of the places I investigated didn’t give me a video or an extensive analysis. The installation guys were absolutely amazing. They cleaned up. It was very efficient for two men to install it in one day. The tub was purchased for someone else, but I used it once, and I like the jets. They’re very effective for the patient.

I saw a Safe Step Walk-in Tubs ad that told me I'd have $2,000 benefit because I've gone to the AARP. I'm 85 years old, and the shower I was using every day was on the ground floor. I live in a three-floor house, so everyday I'd have to walk up about 14 steps when I'd take my shower. It was getting harder for me to do so I decided to get Safe Step and it cost me $14,000, which I thought was expensive. But I've been using it every day and I love it. Now, I can walk a little better, feel better, and I like it. There are a couple of things about the tub that I can't quite get to work the way they're supposed to. But otherwise, I know what to do. I had a very good interaction with the sales rep, though, and he was a good guy. There were no problems. Then the boys who came and installed the tub did a very good job. They got it all in in one day and everything worked fine.

My neighbor was happy with her Safe Step tub and we also got $2,000 from AARP that helped with our purchase. Their sales rep was very nice though I got confused then as I didn't know that we could get this or that feature included in the package or not. We ended getting one with all the bells and whistles. Besides that, the installers were very nice. One of them lives in Dandridge where I live which would be good as he'd be handy if we had any problems later.

I was surprised at how beautiful it looked. I was afraid I needed to get new tiles on the walls but everything that got torn out was covered up and it looked perfect in one day. I like it very much. The only thing is a plastic part broke or fell off and we didn't know if we could use the tub or not. I then called back and was told we could. The part was ordered a couple of weeks ago and we're still waiting on that item.

We were getting the tub more for my husband but it has the shower that I can use, too, which is nice. The jets help as well because we both have sore backs. The skin also softens if I soak in the tub. The product is certainly relaxing to use and it's nice to feel so clean unlike when I take a quick shower where I get in and out and maybe I don't get as clean. I enjoy the Safe Step tub very much.

Safe Step assured me that their workers worked for them only. They weren’t just scattered around, and I liked that so I purchased from them. The people from Safe Step were very nice. They got right to the job and didn’t stop until it was finished. With my Safe Step tub, I like that I can get clean. Also, it’s relaxing. I’m not a big fan of the lights, but I enjoy the bubbles and just relax. So far, I like it very well. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that the doors in front of the pipes that go under the house are not really tight, and it concerns me that little critters and bugs can get into the house too easily. There were a couple of times that I bumped into it, and they came off, so it seems that they’re not really secure. Other than that, everything else is working very well.

The Safe Step rep was wonderful and very knowledgeable and the installation team who came was very good. But the only thing that I don't like about it is when I get in and turn the hot water on, it's cold and splashes in there. Though it's warm right now, it's gonna be worse when it gets to winter. The seat doesn't get very hot at all, so having a little heater in there in the winter time probably will make it better.

I had a fantastic experience. My father enjoys the foot bubbles. It feels great and it helps him sleep and relax. It also helps his restless leg syndrome. It helps all the way around in many areas. The sales representative was really good. I called and they told me that the bathtub was real high-end. It seemed to be sturdy and would last. Also, I bought it for the little tiny bubble clouds because it really does make your skin feel good. The guy who installed it looked like he didn't feel well. He just came in, slammed it together and left. They were respectful enough, but he could've done a better job and interaction. But the young fellow with him was very good.

Their sales rep contacted us the day after I requested to speak to somebody and it went well. The installation team was very professional and they got the job done just like we were expecting them to. My dad is finally able to take a bath and he likes the tub.
