I saw the Ronco knives on an infomercial, so on May13, 2014 I decided to order them for my husband and son's Birthdays, which were in June. They had a buy 1 get 1 free special. The birthdays came and gone and I never received the merchandise or any e-mail. Or call explaining why. On June 9th I spoke to a supervisor named Rhonda who said she would forward my info to the corporate office and request a credit in the amount of $30.15 or $40.15 for the inconvenience and also they charged my card too much. She promised me she would call me back on Monday.

Well, I never heard from her again, so I was mad to say the least and I called back and was on the phone for 33 minutes. I spoke to Colton on 6/20 and he verified all my information and checked the tracking number and said the package was in Covina but it had no delivery date. I live in Covina, so where is my package? He gave me the corporate office number and told me to call them directly. I spoke to Lynn at corporate and she lied to me because she said the reason I never got my package was because they had part of my address wrong. Not true because Colton and I went over all my information. I asked if they could just overnight me the knives since it was their mistake and this whole thing had been handled so poorly. She refused and said she would just refund my money. Please don't ever do business with this so called company.

I bought a boxed package of knives in a store in Canada (factory direct). I had seen the infomercial many times and thought I would give them a try. Not long after we began using them they were getting rust spots all over the blades. I called customer service and spoke to a very nice lady. She said it must be a defected batch and since I live in Canada it would be very expensive for me to return them to Ronco in California so she would just ship me a whole new set. To my surprise she shipped me the deluxe set with wooden storage block. The knife set is very stylish and attractive on my counter BUT the rust returned! You cannot leave dirty knives in the sink or put them in the dishwasher. I have found it is necessary to wash and dry the knives right after they are used. Not exactly what they are advertised to be.

The handle on my Ronko rocker knife cracked, # steak knives rusted and the block that holds the knife set cracked. I called Ronko customer service and spoke with a man named Dave. I advised him of the problems with the knife set and also told him the knife set is just shy of a year old. He advised me I would have to return the defective items at the cost of 3.00 per knife at my expense and then pay shipping for the new items to go out AFTER the return of the defective ones!! Horrible service and since I refused to pay the return fee or the shipping I will not be getting replacements. Shoddy company that does not stand behind their product or their supposed lifetime warranty!!!

I've had a set of Six Star knives for more than 30 years and apart from sharpening a few times, they have been as good as any knives I've had and far cheaper although I just today had a handle fall apart. So I assume the complaints about these knives must have come from the present owner of Ronco.

My husband does not order from TV ads, however, he was impressed with this ad and asked me to order them. I should have checked them out first. These sets of knives are the cheapest quality knives I have ever seen. We have Henckel knives which we bought over 50 years ago and they are still absolutely amazing, made of quality material. The Ronco knives by comparison are utter garbage. I cringe at the thought that we were conned into this purchase. Buyer Beware! I would like to know that all consumers could be warned about these terrible products. They are the quality of prizes given out at circus fairgrounds. They are not worth the wooden block that Ronco sells you to store them. At least I could use the wooden block for the campfire fuel..

I ordered the 30 piece knife set with the block on 2/2/2014. I got an email saying that it was "received" and would be shipping out soon! After that two weeks of no information at all..I called and waited a good 20 minutes on hold just to get an absolutely rude lady telling me that "We're very back logged it being before Valentines day and all.. and that it would be shipping out within the next couple days." After yet another week of waiting, I called back today looking for information and was told that basically that it's between 4-6 weeks of processing then I'll get an email back some point after that.

He gave me a really hard time cancelling my order (what's the point in ordering from the company when I can order from amazon and get them within 2 days!). After I got a tad bit angry with him, he finally was like "okay I can cancel it." What's the point in ordering from a company who is going to make you wait an extremely long amount of time when you can order from a second party and get it quicker, cheaper, and not get your email spammed with stupid "$100 off your next purchase at Walmart for ordering with ronco" emails.

Called to ask why my Ronco stainless steel knives were rusting? She said she didn't know why, was I washing them with soap and water? What the hell was I going to wash them with if not soap and water? That was a dumb (?) to ask me. I'm not **. Or maybe I am for buying them! She went on to offer me a new set, if, I return my set, at my cost, and then pay three bucks for each new knife she sends me back. Now that is their 100% promise on the knife set.

Hogwash, that would cost me way more than I paid for it to start with. Was she thinking that I'd buy her new Ronco plan she just offered me? Not a chance lady! I can take these to the metal recycle place and scrap them for cash! They like rusty things there. So if any of you don't want your junky Ronco knives, I know just the place for junk like them. Three months later (1st week of September 2013) after my credit card is charged), order still not received. Called Ronco and they had the order in their system but it never shipped out. Now 3 weeks later (September 25, 2013) order still not received. Called again. The order is out as of "yesterday". Still no email confirmation. Then come to find out, only one set shipped "supposedly". If I want the second set, I have to pay shipping as per Customer Service Supervisor, Rhonda. Really????...

What a Scam!! Make me pay for their Errors!!! I told them to cancel the order, stop the shipment, I am not interested in their products. Answer....We can't do that. Oh, and if I want my credit card credited back... I have to FIRST refuse the shipment and THEN I can get my credit card credited. Sorry...but not trusting them to stand up to crediting back since I can't even get what I ordered in the first place. Will be contacting Better Business Bureau tomorrow on this matter. On May 16th, a second full payment came out of my account. I called customer service on Friday, May 17th, and told them what happened. I was told to call back on Monday when there was a supervisor on duty. I called back on Monday, May 22nd and spoke to another CSR... He told me that someone would be in contact with me in the next 24-48 hours.

On Thursday, May 23rd, I still have not heard from anyone... I called them back again and spoke to another CSR... She told me that I had to go on their website and submit a complaint, and also had to prove, with a bank statement, that I was actually billed 2 different times for this order... I did that. On Friday, May 24th, I got an email saying that the problem has been resolved and my account would be re-credited with the money... I was told it would take 5 business days. Now, it’s June 7th, 10 business days and my account has still not been re-credited... I called their customer service again... I was told to give it another 3-5 business days... What a pile of what makes the grass grow green... Their customer service is the worst I’ve seen.

It took very little time for the knives to start going bad. The first thing I noticed was rust spots. Couldn't figure out where they were coming from because after all, the knives are supposed to be stainless steel. Was it my dishwasher? No. It turned out that the genius at Ronco put standard, non-stainless rivets inside the handle (to hold the cheap plastic handles on). So as water got into the handle, it rusted and then the rusty water dripped onto the rest of the knives (and everything else in your dishwasher).

Considered returning. But with a fee of $2.50 per knife processing fee (max $22.00 cap because they are so generous) coupled with the shipping cost to mail them back (non-refundable) of about $20.00, it means that I would have eventually paid $107.00 for my $49.00 knife set. This calculation includes the cost of the original purchase, plus shipping, plus the return fee, plus my shipping charges to send back (I rounded all numbers). So it seems Ronco has worked out a pretty good racket for themselves. It won't matter how crappy their product is because few people will be willing to send them back. My advice: Don't buy.

The knives are flimsy at best and not as sharp as they claimed they would be. After the first use, and washing them in soft water I might add, the blades are showing stains that looks like rust or something. I tried a couple more of them, and the same thing is happening. They look dirty all the time. I called and wanted to return them and was told because I was over my 30 days of taking delivery, I could not return them! When I asked for a supervisor, he said he was one of the supervisors. I took the 3-payment plan and I was told initially I had 30 days from when they last charge my credit card to make a return which would have been only 4 days after I called. They are not what they say they are. It is obviously a low-grade metal they use and they seem to be more interested in keeping my money than making the customer happy! Word of mouth goes a long way...buyer beware. I will never purchase another item from Ronco and I will tell everyone I can to not do business with this company!

Almost 7 weeks and 4 phone calls later, my replacements are still at the warehouse waiting to be shipped. Each time I call, I get a different excuse. I have even spoken to supervisors and their supervisors and still cannot get an ETA on when they will be shipped. What good is a lifetime warranty when you can't get your items replaced within a reasonable amount of time and when you need assistance, the customer support team is useless? Ronco is a new word for fraud! Ronco assured I had bought all I will ever need. As this very long sale call continued, I was sure I was being offered items that I had just seen in the infomercial as a part of my original order. I bought most of what I was offered. At the end, I asked if I had the complete set. I spent much more money than I ever expected. When they arrived, I let them sit unopened for a while as these are Christmas gifts. Well I opened them and I had extra labeled slots in my knife block. Also, I did not receive the steak knives that fill the block! All that extra money and I am short ordered! Ronco is a new word for fraud! I called and explained what I expected vs what I had received with my order.

What a shock I was in for I can buy the rocker knife for the labeled slot and Ronco will give me the additional steak knives needed for the second knife block - all for the bargain price of $50.00, plus the cost of shipping for each rocker knife. I was without words! So I asked about returning the entire order. I must pay for the return shipping and in total, I can be refunded $99.00. My additional costs are only considered shipping and handling. Short ordered! Competition will cost half of the orders refundable expense, plus additional shipping and handling! Ronco is a new word for fraud! I am stuck with my disappointment!

You can't cut straight with the cut and serving knives. The other knives are very dull - no use on sharping them. Plus when we got the set, we found out that the block was not included. We had to pay extra. There still was one spot empty which they called later and said if we wanted that knife too, that was another $21. We learned not to buy things advertised on TV. In short, Ronco Knives are and always have been junk of the purest Ray Serene. If you live in a big town, find something like our perpetual yard sale (all profits to local charities) and look there. I bought three Forschner (Victorinox: the Swiss knife maker) boning knives for $0.50 each. I gave two as gifts and kept one for myself. In short, leave all Ronco products alone. It is ridiculous that this company misrepresents itself and that the caller wouldn't even give me an amount owed. I want to send these 2 sets of knives back to Ronco and have the amount that was debited from my account returned to me. The transaction charge appeared on my MasterCard statement on October 30, 2008 for $98.34 US funds and was converted at 1.253368416 to a total of $123.25, which was posted on October 31, 2008 as a charge to my credit card. I waited the standard 4 to 6 weeks for the products to arrive and as mid-December approached, I contacted Ronco to inform their customer services department that I had been charged $123.25 Canadian for goods that I had not received and that I would like to have a credit applied to my MasterCard as it was going to be too late to send these items for Christmas gifts.

The Ronco agent replied that their records indicated that the items were shipped out several weeks ago to my home address and that I should have received them by now. I replied that I have a community post box service whereby if the products are too big to fit inside the locked postal box, then a note is left to pick up the goods at a specific Canada Post outlet. I did not receive any such notice nor did I receive any knife sets from Ronco. After discussing this with the Ronco agent, she said that someone would contact me shortly to confirm a credit refund. I waited until my next MC statement arrived in December 2008 and there was no Ronco refund as promised. There was no return phone call back to me as promised by the female rep. I have made more than a dozen attempts to contact Ronco's customer service line at 1-800-486-1806 and waited for several minutes, only to be cut off to a dead phone line.

Finally in May 2009, I was able to speak to a real person at Ronco at their customer service line and spoke to a man by the name of Jack **, who identified himself as Ronco's senior representative. I calmly explained my situation to him and he reassured me that he would take care of my refund, and that the full credit would appear on my next MC statement. Well another month went by and still no credit to my account. I tried several times to contact this senior Ronco rep, Jack **, but to no avail. I have given up and you are my last hope for me. Perhaps you or one of your representatives can contact Ronco's customer services on my behalf to get my hard earned money back. I would like to thank you in advance for taking on this matter for me.

Ordered a set of Ronco Knives(plus 1 free set) and 2 wood blocks for storing knives in mid Dec 2008. Package arrived only in late Jan 2009. Unfortunately both sets were white and not black as advertised. Call their customer service and was promised they will send mailing label for an exchange of the knives set. To date and after many calls to the customer service the situation has not changed. I am still stuck with the white knives set and no mailing labels. I have been called by their customer department last week and was informed that the mailing label will be sent to my email but untill today none has been recieved. I get empty promises call after calls to the customer department.

Placed order for 25 piece knife set in October. Waited until December 19th, After being assured over and over again that they were on their way. The first package was delivered to the wrong address, and Ronco assured me that they would send another package. NEVER RECEIVED ANYTHING. After canceling the order, they keep telling me my refund is on the way 5-7 days. Its been almost a month, no refund. All they do is give me the run around. I even spoke to a supervisor, who said that I would receive the refund within 72 hours. that was 2 weeks ago. I feel like I will never see that money again. I feel Robbed. Also, everytime I call I'm on hold for at least a half hour. The most HORRIBLE service I have ever seen. How are they still in business?!?????

I purchsed 2 sets of knives, the blocks and scissors for a total of approx. $213 in early November 2008. Nothing came and I called in early December to be told that they were on backorder and there was no guarantee I'd have them for Xmas. On 12/22, they charged my bank account with the full amount but no shipment ever came. I have written and called hundreds of times and get recordings or told the computers are down. I am submitting a dispute with my bank for this charge to my account.

I placed and order for the 2 knife sets plus butcher block holders. (about $171). A day later I decided it was too much money and attempted to cancel my order. No luck. During the following week I attempted at least 25 time to cancel the order and was rebuffed with every excuse in the book: the order doesn't show up on our screens yet; call back in a couple days; we have a new computer system; (many phone disconnects after being put on hold for 15 minutes); Could you give us you credit card number again so we can trace your order?; and finally after threatening legal action I was able to talk to a supervisor who gave me a fax number to the corporate office and instructing me to send them the bank info so they could process a refund.
This is what I did: I contacted the bank. I provided them with an afidavit describing my attempts to cancel the order. I also provided them with research from the web regarding compaints mirroring my own. The bank promptly issue me a credit. A few days later I received the order from Ronco. I contacted USPS. They said I should mark the unopened package CUSTOMER REFUSED SHIPMENT and they would send it back to Ronco. I would not be charged to ship it back. Ronco would have to pay on their end. Serves them right. Don't do business with this company. The internet is riddled with complaints about Ronco. Google RONCO COMPLAINTS.

I made a purchase on -line for some knives that wre priced at $39.99 and I noticed on my bank account the next day I was charged $183.04. I immediately called Ronco and wanted to cancel the order. They informed me that it was already shipped and in route. I intercepted the package when UPS was attempting to deliver it and informed the driver not to take it off the truck and return it to Ronco . Well unfortunately another package was sent the next day and I wasn't home to intercept it. I immediately called Ronco and asked for a return authorization form and they said they would send one out. I never recieved the form and called several times and I constantly got the same answer that it was on its way.

In the meantime I contacted my bank and the credited my account $183.04. I never recieved the return voucher and three months went by and I assumed that the problem was resolved , until I got an investigative report from my bank stating that they reversed the charge and debited my account $183.04. The bank sent me a copy of the UPS tracking reciept shoeing I recieved teh second package with no mention of me attemting to recieve a return voucher. To add insult to injury I again contacted Ronco and they informed me a return form was on tghe way. The Bank informed me the only other thing I could do is send the Item back myself and attemt to get my refund that way. So I did.

I had to spend $53.30 cents to send back there product which wasn't worth $5.00. This Item was two knife blocks and a free set of silverware. The product weighed over 30 lb's and I had a difficult time storing and taking the product to UPS. I had to spend my money, time and gas to get the product back to them plus I am handicapped. Also the mental stress and anguis I suffered with the constant lies. The product was delivered by UPS 7:36 AM on 8/1/08 and David signed for it. I called today 8/4/08 at 8:43 am and asked what the statis was on my refund and I got the same untrusting answer that it was being processed and I should recieve it soon. They deliberitly made me wait for the vouchers and store there product until I sent it back. This has been going on since March 31/2008 and I think this is totally unfair . Now they have my money and product too.

on October 22,2007 I ordered a set of knifes advertised on TV, which included a free flatware set. I got an email stating the flatware set was on backorder and if I wished to cancel to call the above number. I called and cancelled the order. I get another email that the flatware which was free was cancelled and the knife set was clearing. In the meantime my credit card was charged $71.59. I have over the months talked to their above telephone number and assured my account order number 6408579 would be credited. I would wait and that never happened. I never received anything from them, I never refused shipment of any item from them, in March I had a conversation and was told that their system was being updated and they could not credit credit card accounts and would be receiving a check in the mail in 7 to 10 days a month later nothing, I called again and asked why I hadn't received my check, this time they hung up on me. Wonder how many peoiple cancelled orders and got charged and didn't receive anything. Wonder if IRS would like to know how many people they have taken money from and nothing in return, Maybe California consumer fraud would like to know also.
