Prestige Home Guard offers three plans: Basic, Standard and Ultimate:

• The Basic plan is the most affordable option. It covers major systems like air conditioning, heating, electrical and plumbing.
• The Standard plan covers both systems and household appliances, like dishwashers and refrigerators.
• The Ultimate plan is comprehensive and covers everything in the Standard plan, but includes other items like roof leak repairs, HVAC tune-ups and unlimited AC refrigerant.

Prestige Home Guard offers optional coverage for the following items for an additional fee:

• Pool and/or spa equipment
• Well pump
• Sump pump
• Central vacuum
• Roof leak
• Standalone freezer or secondary refrigerator
• Septic tank pumping
• Septic system
• Sprinkler system
• Standalone ice maker

Prestige Home Guard offers three different plans at affordable prices. Monthly fees range from $29.99 per month for the basic plan to $69.99 per month for the ultimate. The company offers a discount (one month free) when you pay for a full year upfront.

Prestige Home Guard also charges a $100 service call fee, which falls within the typical industry range of $75 to $150.

Coverage terms and exclusions are outlined in Prestige Home Guard’s User Agreement, which can be accessed online. As part of that agreement, the company does not cover costs for the following:

• Malfunctions due to known or unknown preexisting conditions that occurred before the effective date stated on the agreement
• Failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect or improper installation
• Failures arising from a lack of routine maintenance
• Costs related to upgrades, modifications or additional components required due to incompatibility with existing systems
• Items under the manufacturer’s warranty or items subject to recalls
• Repairs or replacements needed to meet current building codes, correct code violations or obtain necessary permits
• Electronic or computerized energy management systems, lighting systems, solar systems and similar technologies
• Additional fees charged by the Service Provider for the disposal of covered items or components

You can submit a claim online or by calling the company. Prestige Home Guard promises quick claims processing and will send a licensed service provider to evaluate the issue within four hours of your initial contact. All service calls are subject to a $100 fee as stated in the User Agreement. After the service provider diagnoses the issue, Prestige Home Guard decides if the item is covered under your plan.

Coverage Limits

Coverage limits are the same for all three service plans. In general, Prestige Home Guard caps coverage at $5,000 per covered item over a 12-month period. This includes access, diagnosis, repair and replacement costs. If multiple items are listed under a single section in the user agreement, the limit applies collectively and not per item.

It’s important to note that coverage is capped at $500 for select items, including:

• Well pumps
• Roof
• Septic system (with septic tank pumping capped at $250)
• Sprinkler system
• Standalone ice maker
• Trash compactor
