We purchased a water heater (with installation) from Peterman Brothers. We also purchased a 10 year warranty which we pay for every month. Two days ago the water heater malfunctioned and I do not have hot water. I called Peterman brothers and they came out 2 days after my initial call. They told me they were not going to warranty my water heater because I did not purchase an expander when they installed the water heater I purchased from them and they installed. So now I purchased a water heater and an extended warranty which they will not uphold and the water heater is malfunctioning.

I don't know anything about their plumbing and HVAC. I had used their electrical service in May of 2027. The goal was simple: remove the overhead line feeding the house 100A 220VAC residential service with a buried line (via conduit) to the pole. Entrance to the house is a straight shot through the back yard to the pole at the property line with my neighbor, about 110 ft. Estimate was extraordinarily high compared to competitors, but was assured by reviews and the original estimator (who came in $5K less than what it actually cost) that Peterman would stand by their work. I'm in the trades, but retired, so I know what's right and what's wrong. The purely electrical part of it is fine, but the execution of the upgrade was an unmitigated disaster.
Nothing is square, nothing is plumb, conduits are off plumb and not properly tied to the house. I spent hundreds replacing or repairing damaged ties straps, fencing, pavers, etc. The original estimator assured me they could push the conduit through under the pavers and fencing. That was their first lie. They ended up bringing in a mini backhoe with a 30" (!!!) wide bucket to dig for a 4" pipe. They obliterated my back yard, digging a massive pit, laying the pipe crooked, twisted and stressed in the bottom after weeks and weeks of delays.
When they finally filled in the pit weeks later, it had already begun to collapse on both sides, twisting the conduit even further. When the "field manager" FINALLY showed up on the job, it was weeks after the fact, all the work except the backfill was done, and then they even managed to botch that. I agreed not to publish his name, but after all this, I don't think he deserves any protection. Austin ** with Peterman Bros. Indianapolis PROMISED me that this fall they would send in a grading company to smooth and reseed the lawn. It is so rough and chaotic now that I've been unable to mow it and now it has 3' tall weeds that I'm sure the health department will be issuing me a clean-up order soon.
I contacted Peterman this morning to find out when this grading would be done and they informed me that it was not contracted and there would be an additional fee to do that. In other words, Austin ** LIED to me. I would never ask these people back to my home ever again because they'd screw up the house and property even more and then claim that "catastrophic damage" to the property wasn't covered under the contract and it would be an addition $250,000 for that repair. Idiots. NEVER use these greedy crooks. For plumbing, I recommended Williams Comfort Air. With HVAC, Love (a small local company) is excellent. If you want to get raw action in the butt by scum, call Peterman. You may reach out to me and I'll give you an earful of how corrupt these rotten people are.

Get several quotes from other places, this place will waste your time and money! Their communication is terrible, their customer service is over the phone is fine but in person the technicians don’t do the full job. They left their mess. They had to come back to fix what they screwed up 2 times; after that they are not welcome back to our home. Do your research.

Joshua did a great job installing a new garbage disposal and answered all our questions. He installed new valves since the 3 old ones were leaking and after he was finished cleaned up the mess and took all the old equipment.

It has been three months now since Peterman came to fix a leak on the second floor of my house. A hole had to be cut in my kitchen ceiling to make the repair and part of the estimate was the repair of the ceiling. I've paid for the repair, but to date I still have the hole in the ceiling. I've called and emailed, being told that the "customer experience team" would contact me. No such luck!
