Many years ago my husband was painting the kitchen of our first house. My son was barely over a year old and I left him with my Mom so I could help. I got to our new house and took a paint brush and some paint (not Benjamin Moore). I started piling on the paint when my husband took the brush away and told me to "go shopping. You're good at that".
Years later I was looking for the perfect color for our bathroom. Benjamin Moore had little sample bottles of paint and I painted stripes of different colors all over the bathroom. I finally picked the right color and when I applied it I discovered the color was perfect and it took only 1 coat to completely cover all the stripes. The paint I used was beige and it completely covered even the darkest blues and reds. I was sold. Nothing other than Benjamin Moore for me. Cost comparison showed me that one coat of the more expensive brand was actually less expensive than doing 2 coats and a primer of the less expensive brand.

Benjamin Moore is the most reliable paint for me. Every color I have ordered always shows up so beautifully. They have been around for my entire life. Generations, going back decades, in my family have always used Benjamin Moore. One time, I remember my mother went with a different paint because it was cheaper and she was regretful. When it comes time to repaint or change my colors, I will only go with them because I was never disappointed.

My wife and I have been living in Dade County located in Miami for close to 40 years in the same house we purchased when we moved here. For close to 40 years or so I have painted our home at least once between 5-7 years depending on the color scheme my wife decides to go with, I can honestly say that even though we have tried different brands of paint the most durable and color fast has always proven to be Benjamin Moore products. I am now 74 years of age and thinking about repainting due to installation of hurricane windows and soon a new hurricane front door. Those making a need to repaint. I will say that I have interviewed a few contractors and each has their preference of product to suggest for one reason or other but my preference will be the contractor that suggests I use Benjamin Moore products.

Benjamin Moore has been my choice for decades. From exterior to bath to cabinets, the quality is amazing. When SW cut their color palette to a tiny portion of BM choices, I knew I made the right choice. I recently covered SW paint, and the Original color had changed, looked brown and dirty. The BM paint, I am sure will be bright and clean for a good while. I've used the proline for cabinets, and it transformed an old oak kitchen into clean, scrub able white.

What a huge difference between buying at a big box paint department to a paint store. @ Benjamin Moore the paint specialist walks you thru the whole project so you get it right the first time; I asked them about the paint & primer in one and he explained how there's a primer for every need/problem and the primer in the same can only refers to the ability to cover over another color which all good paint has. Once we started painting it went on the walls uniformly and with ease not a lot of spatter on the floors. I'm a Benjamin Moore fan for life.

I always used BM when painting the interior because it covered the best from others I had experience with. When painting my fence over the past 15 years, I refused to pay a bit more to use bm. Every time we pressure washed or a winter had passed, I found myself always doing touchups. It’s been 4 years and still nice and white. Easy to clean! I appreciate the subtlety of Moore's colors. The super-saturated pigmentation makes the darker colors a satisfyingly cover even with just one coat, and light colors are visually deep and rich. Benjamin Moore Aura costs a bit more than average paint, but once you understand how to apply Aura its quality of color and velvet sheen of the flat matte is superior to every other premium paint on the market today. Another element I love is how well the finish holds up over time as it ages, it does not fade like others. If you need a repair, even years later it blends in seamlessly as both the sheen and the colorfastness are a big benefit. Yes, it may cost an extra $20 plus per gallon, but when you are providing the labor for free, use the best, a little bit more is worth it.

The Benjamin Moore store suggested using Regal Select on the exterior of some decorative panels on our home. The product was called High Build Soft gloss Black F403-80. After applying it the first time on a primered surface this paint came out of the can so thick you can almost apply it with a spatula. The next day the paint had dried and all the streaks showed, it looked horrible. Went back to the distributor only so they can tell me add some water and dilute it, went back, sanded everything and reapplied a diluted version of the paint. Next day same lousy finish. The only thing I can tell Benjamin Moore, is that you should try the products you sell before you put them on the shelf, this paint is garbage in BLACK, your R&D staff were sleeping when they developed this product. I will have to sand it down again and use something that will work for another provider.

Painted front door with two coats of Aura exterior semi-gloss three years ago. It is all oxidized. Wiping with a wet cloth produces paint on the cloth. It is like the paint has aged 10-15 years. Something is wrong with this paint or formulation. My assessment - the paint is no good.

I repainted our home here in Colorado Springs fall of 2018 with a vinyl safe paint your company manufactures and sells, as of early this spring our vinyl has been warping. Now Benjamin Moore wants to replace on one side of the house not the same color and will not match our color and will not do anything about the color difference. We painted a house, garage, car port, and fencing the same color. If I had to do it all over again I would not choose the company paint again. They do not stand by their products after being told the color would not warp our house and window trim. Plus seeing that our house has 4 sides so what they want us to call them back every year the paint starts warping our vinyl house and they only fix the warps not to match the color we choose to paint our house.
I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR A PSYCHEDELIC HOUSE. 2 different Representatives...Nick and another named Matt. Nick was let go for reasons unknown while we were not notified of his departure and Matt has taken over. He has turned in a request for X amount of dollars to fix the siding...but not all of it? We are still waiting on closure!

We paid several thousand $ more for Ben Moore Regal Select interior paint vs the Sherwin Williams product that our contractor had chosen. We made the decision to spend more based upon the general perception that Ben Moore paints do a better job of matching the original color and sheen. This was important because we knew, with white interior paint we’d be touching up often. Six months into our new custom home and the original paint left by the contractor has clumped so badly it cannot be used. We ordered a gallon of touch up paint, the store owner told us he hardly sells any Regal Select and advised that the grade below Regal would match color and sheen, just not have some of the properties of the Regal. Like mold resistance I’m assuming.
I purchased the gallon of touch up paint based upon the store manager's recommendation, spent 2 hours touching up. The sheen did not match after fully dry. We picked out simply white in eggshell. The eggshell we were sold had a much higher luster than our original, only six month old paint job. I took the paint back to the store, the store manager DENIED HE HAD TOLD ME the SPEC line in same color selection and same sheen would match. He blamed the error on one of his employees. DWS building supply in Las Cruces, NM is the store. He did provide a gallon of the Regal, same color, eggshell, I did touch up once again... Same problem. Not even close to a match in luster (sheen).
This store manager wasn’t helpful and had already stated his unwillingness to help me match the original paint so I phoned BENJAMIN Moore. The initial contact, lady named Norah was extremely kind and helpful. She had the rep phone... That’s when things started downhill. This rep was too busy blaming rather than trying to help find a solution to my problem. He blamed the weather, humidity, my paint subcontractor, the application process... No mention of hey, you’re the customer, what can I do to help you out!! I suggested he supply a gallon of my color paint but not in eggshell but in matte.
He agreed that he would do just that and I also wanted him to view the original paint job and the touch up that doesn’t match. He advised he didn’t really have my area on his schedule and of course, the three hour drive is too much an inconvenience on someone like this for him to even consider. I’ve emailed and texted this rep with BENJAMIN Moore, based out of Albuquerque, NM for assistance in receiving the paint he’d promised.
The rep has refused to return my email and text messages. I now have contacted Norah and requested the name of the rep's boss or the national sales manager. I’ve yet to hear back. Companies that do not respond to problems with the ultimate end user should not be considered reliable and they seem to have a very low level of integrity. The product does not perform because it clumps badly after such a short time and the colors combined with the sheen do not match. The people have been awful to deal with. Go elsewhere for your paint needs. I promise you it’s a better move than Moore.

Here we are a year later and all of the doors and trim turned YELLOW.... We would appreciate it if a Benjamin Moore representative can come and inspect the problem and see how it can be corrected and why it happened. We await a reply.... Have always used BM paint. Not sure I will be using them anymore. This paint was so bad and this was recommended for my desk. This left a satin finish, certainly not high gloss. Now I have to paint it again, and that is after priming it and three coats of paint. The paint is chipping. This is horrendous. I got all of the products together with the assistance of a BM paint shop owner. So disappointed!

I selected this brand because it was recommended to me. The brand delivers on what it says its product will do for my home. The paint is awesome and leaves your home looking like new. It is perfect for my home. It has awesome variety of colors that makes your home feel welcoming and the texture of the paint is perfect, neither too thick or light. I have been using this brand for over 5 years and never had a issue with their paint. They are the best one out there.
You do not need to give it more than two coats to get the right color on your walls. I use to use another brand and I always had to paint my walls like four or five times till it got the color right on my wall. Sometimes you don't even need to put the primer on your walls before painting with Benjamin Moore. That's how good the brand's paint is for your home. I paint the inside of my home like every year because I get bored easily of the colors or just want a color to match my new furniture.
They have perfect colors for the children's room as well. The paint does not stink up your house and dries within minutes of painting. Does not leave splotches on your wall neither. You will not regret buying this brand of paint. I highly recommend this brand to anyone that wants to repaint the inside of their home. Their prices are very fair and you will want to come back for more. To even paint the outside of your house. So go out and buy this brand. You will love it for all your painting needs.

Great quality paint. It was fresh and not watery. I also liked the way the paint glided on to the way from the brush so smoothly. This is all the signs of a good paint. It was awesome. But the price I paid was too high. I wish I had comparison shopped. Benjamin Moore needs to be more competitive and more consumer friendly in today's competitive market. Overall, I had a very good experience with my paint. It still looks great in my dining room and in my living room. It is still very clean. When there are marks on the wall, it cleans off very well.

I like how Benjamin Moore categorizes its paints in to different classes. For example, Traditional, transitional, etc. I also love how the website allows you to see the paint on the walls of your living room on its interactive website. The paint is made of high quality materials and covers the walls very well. It covers the walls well with one coat, but two coats is key. But being of highest quality, the cost per gallon of Benjamin Moore paint is high. If the price was lower, it would allow others to consider the product for their paint needs.

I went searching for a white, modern looking paint at my local department store and Benjamin Moore seemed to be the best one they had. I initially selected this brand because it was the easiest thing I could find and it has no lead. So far, I have not regretted it. It functions well, looks nice, nothing wrong. Although this may not be the paint's fault, it is constantly cracking which is annoying. My upstairs neighbor is constantly having construction, which is the reason for these cracks appearing so I suppose this means it could be a little more durable. However, it works just as I intended it to and is long lasting.

I painted the whole room quickly. The price was also great and I saved a lot of money using this brand over others. I was also not worried when I spilled some. It was easy to clean up with soap and water. Also, the hardware store was never out of stock when I ordered more and the clerks matched it very easily at my request. My friends and family decided to repaint rooms in their house because of my choice. But I would like an easier opening top going on with one coat. Would of been much easier rather than 2 coats. The smell was also stronger as it dried. I hope that can be improved.

A very good paint is Pittsburgh Paint, it doesn't spatter and goes on with one coat. Buy it from Menard's, if you got trouble, bring it back for a new amount, or your money back
