I have been trying to add a smoke sensor detector to my system. Every time I tried to add it, I got a "sensor not found" reply. I read the installation instructions several times and tried all possibilities but nothing worked. I finally resorted to calling tech support. The tech provided me with instructions over the phone. Those instructions were not the same as the printed instructions, and his phone instructions were correct and got the sensor added to my system. I think LifeShield needs to have a knowledgeable tech look at the instruction sheets and verify accuracy, as incorrect literature creates a big headache for your customers.

Not only did I receive a notice (email) about a home alarm being set off, but when a Lifeshield representative couldn't get a hold of me right away (phone), the police were called. Afterward, I called a representative who informed me of everything that was happening. After arriving at my house, a second representative called me up and stayed on the phone with me until my entire house had been checked. What amazing customer service. I was nervous going into my house after the burglary alarm. I was very glad to have someone on the phone with me while I did a walk through who genuinely cared about my safety.

Please beware of the sneaky contract. You must cancel 3 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR CONTRACT ENDS OR YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY RENEWED. You rarely hear of flaw contracts like this in the United States. A shame.

I bought the system and before it arrived I decided on another alternative. Of course the exorbitant restocking fee was deducted but that was clearly written in the agreement. My problem with them is 3 months later they started automatically billing my credit card $34.99 a month, which I hadn't caught for 3 months. I tried to contact them, leaving messages because difficult to call during their hours. No attempt to return my call and in fact they again charged me again knowing the problem. So I made concerted effort to call a live person, and they apologized saying they would send a check. Month or 2 later no check. Call again... OK going out today. Another month... nothing. Call again... They say easier to refund to credit card. That was again about 2 months ago. They did stop charging me but this company is horrible.

I have had different issues with Lifeshield security from having problems with getting online to getting text messages when shouldn't to now false alarm going off and the cops coming to my home. This company customer service people are horrible. I get told one thing to the next. I am so upset with how they handle issues. They say a manager will get back to me within 24 hours but a month later still no one has called and the issues happen again, still getting the runaround. THIS SECURITY SYSTEM SUCKS!!!!

I have been with LifeShield over a year now, and the outdated equipment they send you is really ridiculous. From day one when I got the generic system they send and I talk to this fast talking representative (who is just trying get you to sign up more than making sure your home is secure), I just never felt secure with this company. Especially customer service is a joke. Now that my year is over and I'm on a month to month service, I'm going to drop LifeShield like a hot potato... Please be aware!!!!

As to your complaints, I would like to point out that in fact, LifeShield's patented technology is not the least bit generic, and among the most advanced on the market. We are the only company selling it because it is our own proprietary technology.
A generic system is what you get with competitors who are all reselling the same equipment under different company names. We encourage you to look into it, do the research, and compare.

They do NOT tell you upfront about everything. I had ordered it, installed it, and 12 days later had open heart surgery. After surgery and recovery, I knew the $80,000 cost for the operation left me with a hardship financially. I contacted them over a dozen times to cancel, with NO RESPONSE, even when asking for a manager. THIS COMPANY IS ANTI-CUSTOMER SERVICE ORIENTED!!!

I guess this complaint is more about the installation and set up of the LifeShield service. The cameras are decent. It's a nice concept to have wireless cameras but they still do need to be plugged in somewhere. So unless you're going to hire an electrician to run wires, you're going to end up plugging in the cameras closer to your power outlets. The installer we got was fairly useless. He didn't seem to know too much about the product. He didn't explain anything about the system. Do yourself a favor, spend the few extra dollars and get ADT.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with your LifeShield system, but would like to clarify your complaints about the cameras.
Although our cameras are on a wireless signal connecting them to your security system, they still need a power source. Shop around at ADT like you mentioned, and others, and you'll find the same thing -- the power source is plugged in.
Battery operated cameras use a lot of power to run and would require changing the battery often, so therefore are not nearly as reliable.
If you installer was unable to answer your questions about the various uses of the system, we encourage you to call our in house customer service team who are the experts on our products.

LifeShield has the worst customer satisfaction scheme and worst cancellation policies. They have this term to send them a WRITTEN letter within 10 months of purchase to cancel the policy. Imagine! On the top of it, they just don't let you know about important changes in your account such as renewal for another year. They say you should read 15 pages lengthy contract and you should be knowing what you are getting into. Don't buy these guys not for their cheap value because the way they generate customers are by tricking their current customers into staying with them through their stupid contracts.

First, we require a written cancellation as part of the process because otherwise any person could simply call in and cancel your service and you wouldn't know it.
Considering we are in the business of your personal safety, we need written documentation.
Much like a cell phone company, we automatically renew so there is no interruption in your service. If there is a need to cancel, we encourage you to call in and let one of our service reps know so they can start the process.
We are not trying to scam or trick any customer. Our protocol is right in line with industry standards for home security services.

I feel the company should re-evaluate their hiring process. I dread talking to their agents without any soft skills and unprofessional. If the customer's call for assistance with Billing/Order issue, I wouldn't get anything resolved. I spoke to an agent named (Shelika - the name given) and she didn't care one way or another so I cancel service. She was more than happy to cancel the account even before I asked her to. I spoke to Cedric (Tech Support Agent) but he should be a supervisor. He knows exactly how to diffuse a situation and make them feel valued and projects the Life Shield Core Values. Sharon (Sales) and Cedric (Tech Support) are examples of Great Assets to a Company.

After separating from my husband, I left the system for him to transfer to his name. I sent a letter asking to cancel my account, since I no longer needed their services. That request was denied. I then ordered a new ($$$) since I had no choice other than to pay off my 5 year contract @ $34.98/mo. The new system was never activated and I knew I had to pay for the system anyway. An auto draft was set up to pay the $34.98/mo which continued until it suddenly stopped June of this year. I received no voice mail or letters explaining anything. Well, today in my mail, I received a notice from a collection agency for $1733 and change. Stay away from this company.

This company is great! I cannot say enough about it, other than, the company and employees are SO WONDERFUL! I have had and continue to have the best, top-notch customer service from both my Account Advisor and the Technical Support Representative. The package I received was affordable and the system is reliable. Plus, it included so many extra security features and equipment, that other security providers just couldn't compare. I checked out MANY other well-known brands before settling with LifeShield and it, by far, surpassed the competition. Also, I received the equipment really fast and it was super easy to set-up on our own. We just followed the instructions on their website and pamphlet and had no issues. Lastly, I love the online site. I can monitor any doors, windows or sensors that are opened at any time. I can see crimes that are in my area and when I say in my area I saw one on my street and I can do many other things with this online application. It really is a valuable tool. I am so happy I went with LifeShield!

We were told that we have a 30 day risk free trial to try LifeShield and see if we like it. We were told this on the phone as well as being advertised on their website. We installed LifeShield and used it for about a week, but decided it just wasn't for us. To be honest, the equipment and everything was great. In fact, we were going to recommend the company to friends. The only reason we decided not to continue was that a security system just wasn't for us and the financial responsibility was something we just couldn't do right now.
We requested a cancellation and they said to box it up and send everything back and they would give us a full refund, minus a $50 restocking fee. That irritated me a little since this wasn't disclosed on the website or over the phone, and means that it isn't TRULY a risk free trial, but since it is written in the contract, I let it go. But then we got an email a week or two after we had sent everything back saying that we were being docked another $100 because it wasn't in resalable condition! WHAT? It was in perfect condition. Not a scratch on it. My husband even packaged it up perfectly just as it came. You better be darn sure you want to stick with this company because they are liars when they say it is a risk free trial. They will find a way to charge you, even if it means making something up. SO PLEASE DON'T COUNT ON THAT TRIAL PERIOD. IT IS FALSE ADVERTISEMENT.

I've had the system for about 2 months. Took a while for my permit to get approved but when it finally went active, my front door sensor stopped working. So after calling now we’re waiting on some spacers and tape. It's been a week and my front door sensor is not active. Then yesterday, my burglary detection went off and well I didn't even get a call from the monitoring place to inform me I had to call. Rush home and see what was going on myself. I get to home to a false alarm, thank God! Called the support center. Just for not even 30 minutes later after having left my home again, I get an actual call telling me if I wanted to send the police because my alarm went off AGAIN. Of course I’M FREAKING OUT at this point rushing with a toddler to get home AGAIN to another false alarm! Finally after being on hold for over 20 minutes, they were able to see my sensor had been going off every 2-3 min so it was not working correctly, as well as the front door.
Now I was told to arm my system as stay to avoid getting false alarms. I see this as an inconvenience since it won’t feel safe to leave my house arming it that way while the motion sensor, which I believe is the biggest asset to them having a system, is not working and neither is the front door! Now the whole reason why I even considered getting an alarm system was because we’re a navy family and my husband felt safer for us (me and his daughter) to have peace of mind while he's deployed and having all this faulty equipment and having to wait more than a week to get replacements via mail beats the purpose of getting an alarm system for protection with all the what if's I'm experiencing. I've contact the sales person who sold it to me to ask him if I was able to cancel since I'm so unhappy with it so far, but no response yet! VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Shortly after I wrote this review, I spoke with one of Lifeshield's managers and explained my situation and the fact that I was unaware of the 60 day policy. The manager was very professional and understanding and waived the automatic renewal.
I informed him of the incident with the monitoring company, and he apologized for their action and assured me that protocol, is the same as every other security company regarding passphrase. Since I didn't disable with the duress code, the operator made a decision to believe me when I stated that I would go online and change my passphrase to one I would remember. Even though it is against company policy.

I called to cancel my service with Lifeshield, only to find out about the hurdles and hoops I must go through to cancel what originally was a one year contract. Because I didn't formally write a letter to them 60 days prior to my policy anniversary and follow up a 30 day call, I am now locked into another one year contract; however, I can get out by paying an early termination fee of the entire contract.
Also I am not satisfied with the central monitoring station. My alarm has gone off without a call from them ensuring everything was alright. And the one time they did call, I couldn't remember my passphrase. They are REQUIRED to ask for it. "I couldn't remember it," I informed them; apparently no big deal. However, it is a BIG DEAL; it is a way of verifying duress, that I and my family may have intruders and by giving wrong passphrase would initiate police response. Think about that one for a minute.

I ordered the system. My salesperson was very nice and helpful. Got the system delivered quickly. Because of the type of doors I have, I knew I needed a professional install. I was called quickly (by a number that doesn't leave messages and when you call back it disconnects you. Reverse look up has scam warnings) and had an appointment set up for one week later (today). The lady said they had first appointment at 8am, 8am-9am arrival. I accepted.
This morning at 8:30am, I got a call and was told the installer was running "a little behind" and would be to my house at 3pm. "A little behind???" I said that was unacceptable. I was asked to hold. A man came on and said, "what?" That was it. I had to fill him in on the call and he said that's the soonest someone could be out. When I told him that was unacceptable he asked me to hold. When he came back, he said his supervisor said there was nothing they could do and I could call LifeShield. So I did.
I called my salesperson. He had someone from the national install team call me. He was explaining that the installers were behind but someone would be to my house between 11am-1pm. While we were on the phone my other line rang. It was 8:46am. It was an installer who said he was on his way, but it would take him 60-90 minutes to get to me.
At 11:30am (2 hours and 45 minutes later) I called the installer number that called me. He said he never called me and that I was still set up for 3pm. Never called me? I just guessed at your phone number right? So I called and left a message with my salesperson who then had the guy from the national install team call me back. He said he'd look into it.
As I waited, I got more and more ticked off. These installers are liars and crooks. They are incredibly unprofessional and discourteous. They should not be dealing with the public. Why the HELL would I want any of them in my house at this point? So I started making phone calls. I was once again called by the national install team who told me all my money would be refunded. I spoke with someone from the retention department who kept trying to convince me to set up another install.
Really? Because I took off time from work, lost over $200, was then called a liar and lied to multiple times. SURE, send them on over! Let me take more time off work! I don't think so. I asked for an RMA, was told I would receive one... *crickets chirping* It's been 40 minutes... I would like to get this box out of my house ASAP and be done with this company. If these are the "professionals" they work with they are not trustworthy enough to protect my home... ADT may be more expensive, but they do what they say they will...

I called to get new tape for my motion detectors. So far, two of the three have fallen off the wall. One fell off when I did not have the away system on. The other fell off when I was away and the police came and registered a false alarm. There is a $100 charge for this. They did not charge me for the first offense. BUT, the installers you sent to install my equipment were not very good. I was displeased with their work, but as I did not know how to do it, I had to accept their work. As a result, they did not install the motion detectors so that they would stay on the wall, or your tape is not satisfactory. Ben is supposed to be sending me new tape, but so far I have not received it. I took out the insurance to protect me from faulty equipment, but I'm not sure it was worth it.
There should be a better way to install those motion detectors so that one can be assured they will not fall off and cause a false alarm and prove no use to me if I were to be away. My key chain alarm does not always light up when I disarm, so I never know if I am walking in and setting the alarm off. I did not answer the 800 call to ask me if I was ok, as I was out with people and did not recognize the number and did not interrupt my meeting to answer. I would like to program a number into my phone saying it was "LifeShield" but I believe you call on different numbers and that would not do me any good - I may be wrong on that fact. I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY NEW TAPE.

The gentleman I spoke to last night was quite nice, but for last night, the problem was solved. However this morning the spot in my living room that set off my system is back. The tech told me that even on stay, the system now has a motion sensor. The tech told me he would turn off the sensor, so I can only assume someone turned it off this morning. I would appreciate it if someone could turn off the motion sensor on my system permanently.

I installed by broadband connection to my home on July 24 and on that day notified LifeShield of my desire to change from cellular to broadband on my security system. I was assured on that day that they would ship the new component by the next day and I should have it shortly. I gave it a few days and on the 28th I called to get at least the tracking info to see the progress of the package. At that point, I was informed by the rep on the phone that it was actually already delivered. This puzzled me until she told me the delivery address. The address was my old billing address in NY. The monitoring address is in Florida. I didn't understand why they would make such a mistake but I can understand it was a mistake so I gave them a chance to correct it.
I was assured the very next day they would overnight me the component to the correct address. I waited two days to contact LifeShield again and at that point nothing had been done. I got the runaround and was assured it would be shipped out. I gave it more time and I grew more frustrated. On August 2nd, spoke to the rep and explained again my situation and he (Ben) assured me that Monday morning it would be shipped out first thing in the morning, overnight. He explained to me that the warehouse was closed on the weekends.
I called back on that Monday and the same rep could not give me tracking information which was the reason for my call. He kept assuring me that I would receive the package by tomorrow (Tuesday). Tuesday afternoon, I called to get a tracking number and the rep (Cedric) seemed completely oblivious to what was going on. I was assured again that it would be shipped out the next day. In my frustration I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was assured and given a tracking number by email and told I would receive it by Wednesday the 7th. Well I finally did receive it, but it was sent to the wrong address completely. It was sent to my father-in-law's address which is 10 miles away from the monitoring address. What's even worst is that they got my father-in-law's address incorrect and actually sent it to his neighbor. Thankfully, his neighbor gave the package to him.
Throughout this whole ordeal I had repeatedly told the reps that it was to be shipped to the monitoring address. Extremely dissatisfied with the level of service from this company. Communication between departments seems non-existent and follow through also seems non-existent. I had to repeat myself over and over and explain the situation over and over. I was going to purchase more components but I do not wish to go through this again. I will not recommend this company to anyone until it gets its act together. Definitely a true shame being that I thought very highly of it in the beginning (I couldn't help and notice that the only reason I got access to this form was when I clicked on the "very satisfied" happy face in my email. Every time I clicked "very dissatisfied" I would get some type of troubleshooting site).

Master console message - The sound is not loud enough. NEED TO INCREASE/ADJUST VOLUME. Also I have a disabled (MR) child (26 years old) living in my home. I formerly had ADT and when a door was opened it would say "front door open" or whatever door was opened. This was Auchincloss more important than I realized. Could you add that to your next update or add to your list to consider?

I called in to address the tablet software. It has a terrible home screen and I actually hit the panic button on accident a day after receiving it. The cops were dispatched. I wanted to know if I could turn off the automatic dispatch feature. The rep informed me that it wasn't possible.

The Lifeshield dispatcher helped with my neighbor with my fire alarm sounding nonstop. The was able to get connected with people to help solve part of the problem. I am still unsure why the alarm detector supplied by Lifeshield did not relay the alarm to dispatch, need to look into problem.

I have just installed home security and monitoring system with LifeShield. I was worried about if I be able to install all these alarm sensors but I did. It is easy process. Doesn't matter if you have a traditional phone line. It's all wireless. With all these sensors installed which do not slow down my all other wireless devices like iPad, computers as such. I have email to see any alert or changes I made at any place or any time. I feel much safe and mind peace. I will need to learn more about how to use the camera to monitor inside and outside my house.

As soon as I hit Submit Order my phone rang. I was very surprised. Associate said that, that's because they want their customers to know they are appreciated and their company has a quick response time. That's great, but when I called back later to get a question answered, I hung up after being on hold for over 7 minutes. Way too long.

Yesterday my system was not sending me confirmations when I set the system to away and stay. Today, again, I was not receiving timely messages regarding an active stay. While I was typing this, I finally received a status update, but it took more than 30 minutes.

Positives... Easy to reach cuts svc, people are knowledgeable, equip easy to install, system easily configurable, alarm response is fast. Negatives... Beta tablet had to be returned, cameras somewhat unreliable and slow, sent message to customer svc to set up appt and never got a response, was told a permit was needed and it wasn't needed. Shipping is slow.

The system issued a Low Bat Key chain warning. I replaced the battery the next day and the warning continued. I checked the battery and found that it was good so I sent an e-mail to LifeShield support. Your response requested a phone call so you could troubleshoot the key chain. After some discussion and a reboot of my system, your representative decided to send me some new batteries. Whether this will resolve the issue remains to be seen after I install the new battery but your representative was very professional and helpful. I truly appreciated the time that he spent on my problem.

I received a notification after entering Lifeshield Security's Kindle Fire Instant Win Game (sponsor was Lifeshield) I was an instant winner of a Kindle Fire, I was asked to confirm my information so my prize could be sent, which I immediately did. However, to date I have never received this prize. I e-mailed Lifeshield@promosupport June 19th to inquiry when I might expect the prize would arrive, as the Official Rules did not specify. I was told between 6-8 weeks. On July 11th I e-mailed again and was advised my prize would arrive by the end of July, but it never came. I e-mailed Lifeshield@promosupport yet again yesterday that the prize never arrived and tried to obtain additional shipment information, i.e., who the shipper would be, the manner in which it will be shipped, if signature is required and, if so, will that be direct or indirect signature, and if they have a better idea of arrival date, as it is now the end of July and it still has not arrived and the end of July is when I was earlier told by promosupport it would have arrived by.
The e-mail I received back today only apologized for any confusion and said they would pass my inquiry on (do not know to whom that would be). I called Lifeshield myself and they deny having ever ran a sweeps that involved winning a Kindle Fire. Attached is a screen shot I took at the time I entered the Instant Win Game reflecting Congratulations! I had won a Kindle Fire, which clearly shows Lifeshield Security's name on the Internet tab. Additionally, one can easily Google Lifeshield Security Kindle Fire Instant Win Game to verify Lifeshield Security was indeed the sponsor of an Instant Win Game that involved Kindle Fires as prizes, as well as the grand prize being a year's worth of free security. So how is it Lifeshield only weeks ago ran an Instant Win Game, but the marketing department at Lifeshield denies this? Can you please guide me as to where I should further inquire? I have to say this is quite disappointing after having waited for weeks for this prize to arrive, receiving assures from Promosupport it will arrive, and yet it has not. Please note: This Instant Win Game had nothing to do with purchasing a security system.

My one thing I would suggest is making sure you have the broadband required before you purchase the system since it depends on the computer for everything. I made a mistake in thinking the cameras work like a surveillance monitor you see in the stores, whereas you have multiple cameras you can view at one time, it doesn't. That means I couldn't use my android phone either, but the attractive part of the deal is you get to keep the equipment when you move, and with the right broadband all the features will work, although one camera at a time. The company overall was very responsive to my needs.

I had your system for awhile. I just been laid off work cannot afford the monthly payments. Have to cut way back. When I tried to cancel my contract, was told I'd have to pay 2,100.00!!!!!! Your CS rep, Sarri **, was anything but helpful, very cold. NO WAY was I told the contract was till 2017. That's crazy. All I was given was an address for contract review. I need someone to show a little mercy and get my contract canceled.

I was transferred to this company because ADT doesn't provide security for apartment homes. I spoke with a representative that assured me on the phone that the price will never go up, but after getting off the phone and being emailed the contract agreement it stated in black and white differently. The one thing I can't tolerate is LYING. I called the very next day for the order to be canceled but interestingly office was closed. I wrote an email informing them I want to cancel my order due to I was deceived of the terms and conditions, and oddly I got a response even though the office was closed. I told them to cancel order. They said they already sent out, so I called UPS, informing them to don't deliver, send back to sender. I EVEN got an RMA number that was supplied. That was on May 28. They stated on June 26 they refunded my account. CAPITAL ONE, on July 9 called and ask why hasn't been a refund. The representative stated I should have refund by July 11. It's now July 24 and still no refund.

Sorry you did not have a good experience. Here's what I can tell from your account:
First there was shipping address change since you wanted it sent to your place of business. On the 27th, we got an email about cancelling your account. As a home security company, we do not cancel accounts via email since some may be fraudulent. Instead, the customer has to call in to verify who they are. So we sent an email requesting you call. Once you called, we cancelled the account immediately. LifeShield then tried to refund your credit card but it had expired.
Instead, a check request was processed on 7/10 and sent on 7/12/2013 in the proper amount. You should have received the check a few days after the 12th. It was sent to your address provided.
We are very straightforward with pricing with customers so I am not sure where the confusion began. Pricing depends on length of contract,services requested, and amount of equipment needed per home. Each home is different in size and customer need.

I have never had a home security system before. System works great. I do have one problem. The little glue sticker they give you to install the sensors don't work for long. Your sensors fall off. Also, I was told that when an alarm event happened, the monitoring company would call you and first ask for your password and make sure every thing is okay. I have accidentally sent the alarm off twice and they called and asked me if everything was okay. I said yes, but they did not ask for my password. I don't like this. It could have been anyone answering my phone and yes, I did disarm the system with my pin number which is why they say they did not ask for the password. But I did not think it was supposed to work this way.

I have been a customer of Lifeshield Security for about 30 days, and I'm very satisfied with their services. I give them five stars, and would highly recommend this business. I like the remote key chain, where you can arm and disarm your system without having to type your code into the console. Also, while your home is being monitored, in the event there was a break-in, the system will call your cellphone, informing you of a break-in.

When I found myself in an unfortunate circumstance, I had no choice but to protect myself and, more importantly, my children! The Crime Victims relocation program I had qualified for was an amazing help, if I were able to actually relocate my children. I had been turned down by landlord after landlord in several attempts to get them to fill out the financial forms in reimbursement. Perhaps it was a bit of a risk they weren't willing to take with a tenant in my situation; this would just be my assumption. I had called the state relocation program seeking advice or a referral, desperate for another option. They mentioned in some cases alarm systems, lock changes, etc. have been granted under special circumstances.
I must have called every alarm company out there. My biggest priority is the safety of my family. I was so worn in all the negative energy I had spent stressing if anyone could be in my home, or while we were sleeping... These thoughts weren't worth living through day to day. I had talked to Steve from LifeShield and explained my situation. The "baby monitoring, nanny cams" were all just incredible bonuses that would come from a system like this, and he was willing to work with me above and beyond by calling the program and helping me in my approval process.
Steve was also very patient and kind as I wasn't finished in my research and comparisons in other security system companies. I needed complete assurance in our safety! I had never heard of LifeShield before, neither had anyone else. With ADT and a few other companies, the only one well-known in our state I needed to get a few more quotes. After a lot of calls, and in talking to the leading on in our area, I had complete confidence I would have been foolish to go with anyone but LifeShield.
In a sales pitch I had explained some of the features that Steve had told me about, and asked if they had anything like this in comparison, also in monthly contract fees. The salesman had assured me that these "so-called" features were impossible at the price I was quoted. He was shocked and apprehensive as he had not even heard of Lifeshield. He asked me to hold, he was going to his supervisor's office to ask and google this system as well. After a ten-min. hold, he came back to the line and had asked me my number again in case we got disconnected. I received a text to give him a call personally. Blown away, I gave him a call. My curiosity was killing me. This kind sales rep had told me that in no way would I find a system with the security it offered, let alone the price. He did caution me that if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
I truly believe this rep from the other company had really been looking out for my best interest to take time and speak to me off the recorded call with a huge heart understanding my situation. I commend this company for hiring truly compassionate sales reps. =) However, he did put in his part that the amount I would pay for set up in Lifeshield, that his company would offer me the three free years of monitoring if I spent this allowance I had been awarded by purchasing their system. He said that was the only way his company could compensate the lack of features, in comparison to LifeShield.
I immediately called Steve back to begin the process, and the over the phone evaluation that he went over in products to assure me my mind be finally at ease! This system has been up and going for almost a year now. I come home and leave my home now fearless... To me, that is priceless! I have ranted and raved about this system to everyone I know. My guests are amazed in its features. I trust LifeShield to keep the most important things in life safe to me.... for years!

Some of the sensors are falling off of the windows due to the lack of good adhesive. I think this is a major flaw. I was told to go buy a certain type of putty at a local store. I think your company could provide a better adhesive. I am constantly receiving text/email regarding the loss of sensor detection, etc.

I have switched from ADT. I reviewed the top 10 companies, read reviews and worked with their sales team reviewing services, equipment and price. In today's economy, all those factors play a part. I found my sales person, Vince **, to be both credible and knowledgeable. The self-install kit was easy to follow and any questions I had were immediately answered by technical support! I really like the online application for the iPhone and iPad. I know it is early in the game but so far, I'm extremely happy with LifeShield.

I lost CGW on 4/3/13 and could not regain signal. Two previous calls to Tech Support with other reps could not correct the problem and I was told it was a cellular tower issue. Cedric listened to my explanation and agreed that it did not appear to be a tower issue. We performed different actions that included reactivating the CGW and deactivating and reactivating my security system. This corrected the problem.

I was having difficulty programming the sensors into the console. Thomas was extremely helpful and patient. He helped me to activate the 3 pre-programmed sensors (2 doors and window), plus he stayed with me on the phone while I practiced with two sensors on my own. So I called back and the customer service rep was polite and found the reason why I was called - it was to ensure that I had received all my items. I recently wrote a review describing a problem with a LifeShield Comm (handset) Unit not communicating with a GC that (I thought) caused a window sensor to trigger an alarm. I received a nice phone call from LifeShield that better explained the problem - that the two events are not related. The bottom line is that the sensor triggering an alarm had nothing to do with the Comm Unit losing communication with the GC. In fact, the Comm Unit apparently communicates to the base. I was offered a discount to order an additional console to replace the handset since it's not possible to place the handset closer to the base. I'm happy. The window sensor that set off the alarm was the first problem I've encountered in the past few years, which is a pretty good record. The only other problem I've encountered are low battery alerts, which are normal for a wireless system.

I've been having a problem with the handset losing communication. I've called a few times regarding this problem. Yesterday, this seemed to cause a secured window to appear "open" when it wasn't, resulting in a burglary alarm and a visit from the police (we were unavailable for a phone call). On advice of tech support, I ordered and changed the battery. Today the unit again lost communication again for a very short time (the system was armed away at the time). I now physically moved the unit in line of sight of a GX grid extender (about 20 feet away). If I lose communication again, then there is a problem that needs the attention of LifeShield.

Cedric is helpful to advise me on my setup. I believe the equipment is not reliable. After I setup correctly and it is ready to arm, but couple of hours later, it is not ready to arm due to something else. I even called the support center not to send the window sensor. I wonder if there is local LifeShield technician to make sure what I have done is correct.

This product was recommended by a neighbor. I installed the system myself which was fairly easy. I'm 80 years old and reasonably handy. The company helped me every step of the way with the installation and arming of the system. All the people I spoke with were friendly, knowledgeable and very patient. I got billed last month. When I called the phone number on the credit card form, it was the wrong phone number. So we filed a complaint and had our card cancelled. All because someone at LifeShield put in the wrong phone number. Problem is corrected now.

After a pro installed, I am having problems with my cameras - 2 working correctly. Three contacts with support has moved the ball forward, but not completely successful yet. Good contacts with techs. How much longer before I receive my touch screen to complete my package? Also ordered extra yard sign and not enough hardware. Nuts and bolts.

I ordered an extra remote with my order, but when the shipment arrived, it was missing. I called LifeShield and the representative had me go through the box, but it was not there. The representative said he would ship another remote promptly.

I've only had the security system for less than a month. However, the support team is very helpful, and Brianna was very knowledgeable about the products and services. The only downside that I have experienced when trying to reach support is the lengthy wait (possibly due to handling other calls). Otherwise, I'm happy with your product and would recommend it. One of your great features is enabling and disabling the system even when you’re away from home!

I was expecting a much better customer install service. You contract out the install and then of course when he is done on Sat. at 7pm pdt, your office is closed. Trying to get info on Mon. was very hard since I mailed my salesman (no response). I called the setup phone number (was on hold for a while) and mailed complaints 2 times before I tried and called again to get setup. I only waited 2 mins this time when a lady named Jennifer helped me. Thank Goodness. I still have not got my outside camera working and hope that gets working before I just send everything back.

I may have missed it but it was not apparent to me on how to set up the devices that were included in the initial kit. Otherwise, the installation process went well. LifeShield customer support was available with a phone call and immediately got me going.

My experience with LifeShield Security so far has been a very positive one. The system is very easy to use. It took about 4 hours to install and is well worth it. I had to call customer service when I tried the system the first time and it didn't work. The service technician saw the problem immediately and made a setting adjustment. I have peace of mind knowing that I am protected whether I am home or not. I would highly recommend this system to anyone looking for security and peace of mind.

Setting up our LifeShield system went smoothly, although it did take a bit longer than we had anticipated. Some of this was caused by the console being programmed when it arrived to function with the internet, and we just wanted it to function with 4G. We are still waiting for the tablet. The company has been very helpful in assisting us to re-program the console and in their follow-up phone calls. We will be glad when they have cameras that work with the 4G as they presently require the internet connection.

My husband opened the back door - the alarm went off. This was the first time this happened and we did not want to cause the police to come to our house for no reason. I called Lifeshield and was told that since I cancelled the alarm within 30 seconds, I did not receive a call from Lifeshield and the police were not coming. The rep told me how to stop the blue light from flashing on the console also. We have never had an alarm system before, so this is a learning process.

CGW was not connecting to the cell towers. I was advised to unplug it and remove the battery and place it in a new location. After a few attempts, the problem was solved.

My wife and I are new security system customers and after shopping around, we decided to go with LifeShield. Installation of the new system was fairly simple after I watched the video online. The instructions in the package were not exactly that clear to me. I am glad I decided not to pay for installation after seeing how simple it is to install the sensors! We have the wireless version and have had a couple outages/issues though during the initial practice period. Hopefully these will not be a problem in the future and possibly it is the coverage in my area or a tower problem. Eventually I will connect the system to the regular phone line for redundancy purposes.
Whenever I called tech support about these problems, the technician was always courteous and helpful. They did their best to find out what the problem was and explain it to me. Hopefully these kinds of issues will not occur on a regular basis in the future and I will have a trouble-free security system that is reliable and will provide years of trouble-free service. It is still too early to tell, but hopefully this will be the case.

I would've liked a little better in on how to set up, or even better, have someone else come out. And my certificate that I got did not have my address or mention that this was a 24-hour monitoring system. I needed it to do both of these to get my discount on the home insurance.

I exchanged the beeping smoke sensor. I appreciate the ease of the return package/label. The new item worked fine - problem solved. No issues. (I could use advice on frequency of replacing batteries in the different system components.)

As for the battery replacement question, please call the help desk to discuss your particular situation. Battery life can vary depending on how often the components are used, and also whether they are placed in a temperature controlled environment. All of our door/window sensors can be placed anywhere, inside or out, as temperature doesn't affect the actual LifeShield technology - but temperature does affect the battery by shortening the battery life.
So if you use any sensors in a cold garage, or to protect an outdoor structure like a barn or detached garage, please know the battery will need changing more frequently.

I purchased a static internet domain so as to get a surveillance system online and forgot to hook everything back up when I left town for a few days. So I was concerned that without internet, LifeShield would not report an alarm event. But the agent refreshed my memory that I have telephone backup. Enough said.

Camera was not working and technical support got it back on! I was on hold for about 20 minutes, but when someone finally came on, they did a wonderful job helping get the camera working. It was a little frustrating when on hold. I actually hung up and called back after 20 minutes and then it took another 5 minutes of being put on hold. I am happy that they were able to help me.

Web account setup - I live in Maries County. It was not offered as an option for my zip code of 65401. Some of Maries County is served by the Rolla 65401 post office. I would recommend that you change this in order to assure correct information in your database. If not, you may notice the incorrect fire/police service.

I had just received my permit number and called up to provide it so my alarm system could be monitored. The rep on the phone was professional when she took the number and evaluated that I would not need to use practice mode any longer. I also asked about putting this security system on hold for a while as the system is not installed yet. I did receive an e-mail as to where to make that request. I have not gotten that done yet. This is a rental house, and we have not had any one person or family in the home long enough to make it worthwhile to set the system up yet.

Sales staff was great. Professional installation, not so much. The guy arrived on time and while installing the kit, said the motion detector was missing. He had the box and said nothing was in it. It continued with the install and when completed told me to check and make sure LifeShield was sending the missing motion detector and that he informed them. After he left, without cleaning up the mess, I noticed another detector missing. Bracket had been installed but no sensor. After calling him five times (no joke 5), he called back and said that LifeShied didn't send it either.
I called LifeShield helpdesk and they were great and said they would ship both parts right away. Now, after paying for installation, I have to install and program the last two parts and figure out how the system works. I have previously had ADT and Protection 1 and both did complete installs and explained the system afterwards. I'm on my own now after paying $100 to have the system installed.

I was so pleased with the customer service at LifeShield. The representative was fully knowledgeable and helped me instantly. He answered all my question on how to program my car remote and how to add the sensors to my alarm. By the time I got off the phone with him, I was a pro.

I had not recognized the charge on my credit card and so I denied payment. I realized that it should have been covered, so I called to cover and give a new credit card number for future charges. Customer service was awesome. I will recommend and refer them to my friends. You need to get the correct info on your charge line. The number displaying is a floral shop and appears to be a bogus charge. LifeShield needs to be displayed on billing charge line.

I ordered my system after a break in. Joe was very helpful. He explained everything clearly to me and arranged for expedited shipping. After the system was received, I had to contact support to get everything installed correctly. Again, the person with whom I spoke was very helpful and patient with my issues.

I recently changed from ADT to Life Shield. Everyone has been very helpful from the representative who I called to set up the account to the reps who called to confirm appointment, to the installer, to the additional calls my husband made to confirm our new account. I'm very pleased and have recommended Life Shield to two of our friends who have been debating about home security.

I moved to this house in September. It took quite a while, after having difficulty getting service from ADT, for me to select, order, and finally install this product from Lifeshield. I have not been satisfied as the performance has been unreliable. However, after this last call, I feel hopeful that with the addition of another keypad, my system will work reliably. I do think that from the point of sales, buyers should be made aware of the limited scope of the router and keypads and that more devices may be needed in order for the system to work properly, even in a relatively moderate sized (2,000 sq feet - one floor) home. I am happy with the information and solutions provided in the last call, assuming, of course, that all works once I have these additional devices installed.

Every person I've dealt with has been wonderful. I've no complaints whatsoever. They take the time to explain everything about the system, and the system itself is effective and very easy to use. Normally, I do not write long evaluations of products but I used customer testimony as a data point in making my decision for a security system so here goes. We bought the LifeShield Security system for our beach home in Delaware and have been using it for about one month. The folks at LifeShield from the salesperson right down to customer support have been extremely helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. Installation was a bit challenging but the YouTube videos and technical support at LifeShield were very helpful. There is a bit of a learning curve to installation and it does get easier as you set up the equipment.
The features of the system are great such as instant weather, local crime in the area, instant event activity, and the Android app. The app makes using the security system a snap. The follow-up from LifeShield after the system was activated was unexpected but it goes to show how important customer satisfaction is to LifeShield. Finally, the operating cost is very competitive to other security systems (e.g., ADT). In fact, other companies could not provide all the features that LifeShield provides at a competitive cost.
So far, we have been extremely happy with LifeShield. This next statement is unsolicited. We would highly recommend LifeShield.

I am very happy with LifeShield. I have two accounts. One for my home in Illinois and one in Florida. When I had a situation when the alarm went off, LifeShield was very quick to respond.
