Inquired about the credit card used for our automatic payments to see if the card needed to be updated because of a security breach (and subsequent change of credit card number). The customer service representative competently looked up my account information and handled everything to my satisfaction. Very good service.

If their design of the window sensors was a little better I would not have had to make a phone call to them. The lady on the phone did excellent and help me order the needed magnet so I can get my system back up and running.

Answered all my questions/concerns. I would make some recommendations, window door sensor should have glass break as a part of it. Most burglars or someone breaking in would break the window.

We decided to go w/ Lifeshield due to being told by the rep (as well as reading it in their literature:"You may cancel security-monitoring services if you are a member of a branch of the United States armed forces or reserves and get called for military duty away from your residence") that they had a military clause and we could cancel service when we we had to relocate. We sent in our PCS (moving) orders and they wouldn't discontinue our service, stating they would only discontinue due to deployment. We have been moving cross country and trying to find a place to live at our new duty station so we've been paying for service for the last 3 months even though we have not had a home to use it in. The worst of it is, we usually move every 2-3 years w/ the military and we are stuck with this ridiculously long 6 year contract basically because we were lied to. If I knew they wouldn't let us out of our contract when we had to move, I definitely wouldn't have gone with them. We are very disappointed with this company.

I contacted LifeShield looking for an home security system. I researched ratings and decided LifeShield would be my first choice to contact. After running Paul through the wringer with questions and what if's and maybes, I decided to go with LifeShield due to how much time, patience and information was provided. I am one that will question you almost to the point you wish I would purchase elsewhere just to get rid of me. PAUL - you are one patient Man! Kudos to YOU! I would refer LifeShield at this point, just in customer service.

False Fire Alarm and Unable to View Live streaming. It was a fire alarm incident, and was explained the causes to prevent them in the future, should they be false alarms, as was this one. Thank you very much. This morning, I was able to view live streaming. But the problem appears to be intermittent.

Only service offers below $40 monthly without landline. Called ADT, Protect America, all requires landline, not VOIP, not Digital Voice, then trying to sell me their cellular model for over $45 a month. No way.

Replaced Home Router - Base Station Failed to Connect. The engineer I spoke with was great... Very knowledgeable, and was able to resolve quickly. I work in the computer networking industry and he understood what I was saying, which doesn't happen often.

The tech knew just what to do to get my Keypad that wouldn't turn on, on. He also noticed that my firmware wasn't the newest so he updated that and noticed my fire alarm detector was outdate and sent out another. An amazing experience from the Tech!

I had to call twice for a co-worker's referral to become effective. The first time I called the rep did not ask who the person was and told me it would take a while to activate but couldn't tell me how long. I would never had known about the referral if my co-worker did not let me know after 4 months of his service with LifeShield.

Our broadband connection had been off and on periodically at which point the Blue Console Light kept flashing off and on. At the time I did not know the reason for this; so, I went to the LifeShield web for an answer. I found a letter from LifeShield Security stating that our system was no longer communicating with LifeShield. I then called customer service and spoke with a very friendly and knowledgeable rep call Paul. He checked our system and assured me that we were indeed connected. He then explained the reason for the flashing blue light. It is such a pleasure to have such a wonderful security system with such wonderful support. It gives the additional secured feeling.

I had a burglary attempt on my house on March 12, 2014. Nothing was taken because I have LifeShield system. The sound was so loud and time response was fast, the crocks didn't have time to take anything. I'm now putting in cameras.

I called for two issues. One was resolved very easily but the second re-emerged this morning. When I spoke with the tech I mentioned that I had two issues one of which was the communication lost for the fire alarm. After we rebooted the system it was working ok but at 5am it stopped working again. This is no fault to the technician but I am annoyed at having to call twice to get my problems resolved.

I received a replacement gateway from LifeShield. The installation instructions said to call Customer Service before installation. I did. The representative was very helpful and walked me through the installation. He was competent, polite, professional, and helpful.

This unit has malfunctioned since Oct 2013 and I still do not have a replacement. I asked for it to be ordered in OCT and just recently - yesterday 03/11/2014 - I got the official order.

I went to set my system Sat. evening to find it deactivated and not monitored. I am VERY upset that this happened. The agent was able to aid me in resetting the system, but I was only given the reason that "This sometimes happens with Verizon". THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I want further explanation and an understanding of what is being done to prevent it happening again.

My internet service had gone out during the night so my system was no longer being monitored. The next day, the internet was back up, but my system still wasn't monitored. I called LifeShield and the representative was able to talk me through deactivating my system and activating it again. That fixed everything.

I needed to provide another debit card number. Every attempt to do this online was futile because I could not remember my user name and password and I could not get that information emailed to me. So I was very dissatisfied with the online support. However, when I called, all issues were resolved quickly. The customer service representative was efficient and very helpful.

When I said I need an extra movement sensor and window and door sensors, I was mailed them quickly without extra cost. Life shield has more to offer, is less expensive and has better customer service than the other (ADT) I had to deal with. My experience with them was horrible.

The alarm system deactivated and left my home unprotected even though we had a cellular back up. VERY disappointed over the last couple of weeks with LifeShield problems. The service person was able to activate it easily but could not explain why it happened, or why we were not contacted of the problem. She said she would pass the info along to someone else.

The phone reps have been good sometimes great. The biggest issue is I don't know if I trust LifeShield to protect my home and family. I was affected by the Cellular gateway issue. It's working now however it has put a real bad taste in my mouth. When the system first went down, I was not notified that LifeShield had lost communication with my system??? I had to figure it out myself. I thought if LifeShield ever lost communication with my home, they were supposed throw up a red flag and call me to see what was wrong. I guess I was wrong about that.

The system had been disconnected from the network for a few days. I made the call to CS but all the reps were busy. I like the option of having someone call me back instead of have to hold on or call back later. The re-connection process was handled well by the rep and with no problems.

Although my home was burglarized and I lost my most valuable possessions, I believe the alarm company did what it was supposed to do. I received an email and a call immediately and the operator dispatched police. A bitter/sweet thank you.

Beeping sound from control box during a power failure - Turns out, this was a false assessment on my part! Sigh! The sound was coming from the battery unit attached to my television. Your technician was very patient and helpful in identifying the problem. (I did call AT&T... and found out how to stop the noise! ) Whew! Much thanks!

I had returned an outdoor camera for my system and told the agent that I wanted a credit for the camera applied towards the 13 sensors and 13 extra magnets. At that time I also told her not to send the touchpad tablet and use that credit towards the sensors. At that time I was told it was going to cost me $139 over the credits, which was fine. Two weeks went by and no sensors. I did receive the touchpad that I told her I didn't need though. I called in and no one told me why I had not got my sensors and magnets, or why I was sent the touchpad I didn't want. I was told they will send my sensors and magnets out to me with priority. Now it cost me an additional $242 for the sensors and magnets. I was even charged $20 for the shipping. Up to this point I had nothing but great things to say about LifeShield. I really hope my future interactions go better than my last two.

I called because I caused a false alarm by accident and I never received a call from monitoring to confirm the incident. I learned that by reacting to the alarm with the code under 30 seconds, it doesn't signal there's a break in. I just wanted to make sure my system was completely working properly. Your customer service and tech people were very helpful to explain this and verify my system is fully connected and working.

Yes, the wireless camera only means that the signal is sent wirelessly between the camera and the system. We don't use battery power for camera since they would use a lot of battery power, and would therefore be unreliable for home security.

On the 20th of February, we discovered that the alarm would sound if tripped, but we were not being monitored. Contacted Technical Assistance, and after about an hour of trying to get the CGW connected, the Technician decided that it, or the Console, was defective. In as much as we are leaving for a month the first of March, I indicated that we had to have it up and running before we left.
In three days, we received a new Console and a Base to connect to the internet (an item we did not previously have), but no new CGW. Again, contacted Technical Assistance, was assured that a new CGW would be shipped. We received it the next day. Again, contacted Technical Assistance. The new Console did not work. Retrieved the old Console and used it instead. Got the CGW connected, and then the Technician asked if I had the Base for internet connection.
This is the item that was inadvertently shipped previously. I do not know why it was not included when I first obtained LifeShield over a year ago. We were successful in connecting my monitoring system to the Internet, and I think I now have full functionality with the System....including receiving e-mails when the System is armed or disarmed -- A First! Note that I did make two other contacts with Technical Assistance to re-try connecting the CGW, as they it could actually take several hours.
All of the Technicians I worked with (except one female) were polite, patient and professional. The other helpful person was the female would phoned to discuss the incorrect item in the first shipment, and she is the person who expedited the delivery of yet another CGW.

I signed up with Direct TV and got offered Lifeshield security as part of the bundle, which I accepted on 1/27/14. I had many conversations with DTV and Lifeshield about installing on 3/1/14 because I needed to complete my month with Comcast. After multiple reassurance that I would not get billed until I was installed for DTV and alarm service, I returned the Lifeshield contract on 2/10/14 (see attachment). To my dismay, Lifeshield had already billed my credit card on 2/5 for the monthly service fee of $39.99. I have made countless calls to no avail, they are always going to get a manager and leaves me on hold and no one returns my calls. I am paying for a month of no service, my installation is on 3/1. I find this to be a company that is not very customer friendly, this is not the way to start with a new customer and I am very angry and frustrated.

My keypad was flashing no modem with a blinking blue light. Tried to follow procedures on website to correct with no progress so I called the customer service number and walked through the steps to correct the issue.

Matt was awesome. I had 3 issues to resolve. He was knowledgeable and patient while resolving all 3. Setting up the cameras took a long time to resolve, but he didn't give up and we eventually got them working wirelessly. Tech support is all you need.

I received an email yesterday saying my payment was past due. I knew there was no way this could be true being you pull it from my credit card monthly. I called the number given on the email, the person who I spoke to was very polite, etc. Somehow your database must have had a error in it, being the acct# had not changed. I had my system since June. I finally was able to get through to someone without a long wait and activated the system. That was the easiest part. The reason I didn't give a 10 for rating was the fact that I called to see if I would be able to get a discount of some sort for paying 8 months without using the system. And since I was told I have a 63 month contract of course they wouldn't do anything to make me less upset. But once my contract is up I do plan on moving to another company because I feel that part of the customer service was NOT very fair and/or satisfying.

Our system works great and installation was a breeze for me. The reason I contacted Customer service is because the netbook would not boot up. There seemed to be problem with the security code not working. Anyway they sent me a shipping label to send the unit back and are sending a new replacement. That is exactly what should have happened.

Had questions about my bill and I also needed to reconnect my cameras after replacing my Router. The Service Technician was great. The only problem I have now is that I had to call about my bonus for getting a coworker hooked with your service and I also missed another incentive bonus when I initially purchased the service. I feel that your company doesn't honor their bonus offers unless the customer brings it to their attention. I was raised to believe thats a honesty issue with your company.

I first called to find out why I had a "not monitored" message on my pad. The first person I talked with told me that the permit info wasn't entered and that I needed to get it. So I hung up and called the Alarm Monitoring Desk at the Gilbert Police Department. They gave me the number of my permit and said if there were questions, you (the company) could call him direct. I recalled LifeShield and got a new person, who gladly took the info and updated our account... and now we are monitored. Neither person wasted my time with sales ** or small talk. It was a fast, efficient call. I thank them both.

I had a false alarm created by myself due to the fact that I did not disarm the security system within the allotted amount of time on 2/17/14 and I never received a call from LifeShield's Call Center. My faith in the system's performance is somewhat uncertain at this time, but the customer service representative assured me that it's working properly now. Also, I was disappointed with the faint sound of the siren. Compared to the previous alarm system that I owned, this siren is faint and cannot be heard from outside of the home. I'm not sure if that's by design or not, but I would think that an audible siren from outside the home would provide another form of deterrent. All said, Lifeshield's Customer Service is very good, but in my opinion, the hardware does not compare to other big name security system providers. Hopefully the hardware will get better since I'm locked into an agreement for a considerable amount of time.

The system has functioned well, thwarted a couple of break-ins during that time. I had no trouble with the self-install at the time. I found the instructions clear. I do not have a service contract as I bought the system outright and installed it myself, so I cannot speak to how the company handles those. If you are tech savvy enough to use a computer, you can install the system. Based on how the m/o of my attempted break in and how some of them are being done in the city, I have ordered a few more sensors and a cellular gateway and going to tweak things a little.
The only complaint I had at all were the life span of the original sensor batteries. Some were dead when I got them. Rather than contact the company, I just went out and bought Energizer replacements for a few bucks and they seem to last 2 to 3 years. I also replaced the rechargeable batteries in the units. It's been nearly 4 years, and after that time, they were beginning to not hold a proper charge. I would recommend the system.

I have only a Verizon hotspot for internet at my home and rely upon the cellular gateway since Lifeshield cannot connect wirelessly yet. I am told they are working on it. I have been waiting over a month for the new CGW so I called tech support and talked to Karen. She was very helpful and even called me back with an update on the new CGW. Lifeshield has always provided excellent customer service which helps make up for some of their technical shortcomings.

Rotisserie chicken kept in oven overnight was forgotten and oven turned on, melted plastic and caused smoke to fill home and smoke alarm went off. Tried to disarm alarm but it came on again and could not find number to call alarm company to report the situation was under control. Later contacted LifeShield and discovered the monitoring company had wrong phone number to contact me at home before calling in alarm. The last four of phone number were transposed (6263 vs 6362). I was transferred to about 2 different customer service reps before getting number updated and two different customer Service Reps to confirm procedure for handling an alarm event. The fire dept did arrive at my home and the smoke alarm was off and house aired out. I was cleaning the oven when they arrived. I told them about the plastic melting and causing smoke to the smoke alarm and did not have a number to call alarm company (Life Alert). I apologized for the inconvenience to the fire dept. I now feel I know what to do in the event of an alarm event that would make me feel secure in my home.

I would recommend to the marketing department that the literature is redone, but we were able to work through it through the support department and get everything up and running.

I am Clarice **'s daughter, Sallie. I called to inform Life Shield that we could no longer have your service...my mother was in a rest home. Sadly she passed February 3, 2014. I know she had a contract, but things happened so quickly I wasn't able to get the information you needed. She was buried next to her husband February 8th. I was dismayed when my brand new alarm system's Cellular Gateway developed a periodic loss of cellular signal. Approximately every half an hour, the CGW would send out a warning that it had lost its cellular signal, and then about a half an hour after that, it would report that its signal had been restored. I moved it, reset it, and the problem persisted. After my second call to technical support, the unit was deemed defective, and LifeShield issued an RMA # and replaced it. Unfortunately, it will be a number of weeks before they have one to send me. All in all, I've been very impressed with LifeShield's quality, reliability and customer service. This was an unfortunate glitch, but understandable, and well handled. I would have preferred if they had been able to replace the unit in a more timely manner, but they are standing behind their equipment and their service. And that's important. I recommend this company because I see they are working on improving, and they have done well by me so far. Thank you, LifeShield.

My mother has your system in her home in CO. She received an email about a problem with one of the sensors and had asked me about it. I contacted your company and they explained what had happened and that it was probably temperature related. The sensor was working within a few hours and your customer service said that she might need to replace the battery. Since my mother is paying for the insurance, I requested that she be sent some. We (my mother, my brother and I) have been very satisfied with your company and service and have recommended Life Shield to others.

I have never work with a company that does not require you to do multiple calls to get whatever concern you might have taken care. I have called 3 times with either a question or a concern and they have immediately taken care of my matters. I have never had to repeat my calls. They truly do stand by their word. I'm very happy that I chose them and it's a plus because I am very happy with our security system. Thank you LifeShield.

It seems when the installer installed the system, he didn't leave any instructions with the employees on how to handle errors, etc. (Call customer service if this happens, etc.) I called customer service with a motion sensor error yesterday and the agent was helpful, but didn't seem too excited to be helping us. Other than that, our experience has been good.

I'm a bit disappointed in that I am unable to completely use my alarm. That being said, the customer service thus far has been great. The low score is more product driven based on a bad motion sensor. I'll update if need be upon receipt of the sensor

After having LifeShield for over 3 years, I started shopping around to see if other systems could save me money while providing equal quality in their product and top-notch customer service. It just isn't out there. I don't like having a sales rep having to come out to evaluate my home and then pressure me to buy their product. I've never had to worry about this with LifeShield.

I was very pleased with the assistance I received in getting system actively monitored (permit verification) and with getting assistance getting second keychain remote user installed. Constructively - I only needed to call because I had not received responses to three emails (one to permit email link, one to customer service email link, and one to the sales rep that sold me the service)... original email response sent back to permit department (email link on 1/22/14).

I am very satisfied with the response from the staff at tech support. They are prompt to answer professional and clear. My system is quite new and so far is performing as it should. My only concern is that the app is at times not performing. Giving me error message when it should not have to. Tech support does not have an explanation as to why part of the connection seems lost.

Jordan was amazing at putting us at ease after our recent break in. He walked us through getting a new security system and answered all of our questions. You were the cheapest option by a few dollars. But, even if you hadn't have been we probably still would have gone with your product just because of how comfortable he made us feel. We felt like Lifeshield cared about our well being and not just obtaining another client.

John was VERY helpful, answered ALL our questions, and if he didn't know he found out and got back to us. We never felt pressured by John. A matter a fact we did what he said, compared LifeShield to its competitors online, then called back within 1 hr to make a deal that worked for us. We very eager to get the system and start using it. Seems like a great up and coming company that has rated higher than those national brands we all know from TV.

I am happy with Lifeshield but I recently referred someone to your service and was given 150 in equipment. I just wish this 150 could be used to pay for my service. That is much more valuable and would show Lifeshield's appreciation much more than getting equipment I was not planning on using. Additionally, I only used 135 of the 150 but had to pay shipping. So not only did I not find enough stuff that I could get to cover the referral, none of it I really wanted anyway, but I ended up having to pay 10 dollars to use the referral. This is not motivating to refer anyone else at all.

Change credit card information from old charge card to new charge card. I pay my LifeShield account with automatic withdrawal each month. I change account so I needed to inform the company.

I received great customer service throughout from the salesman that reached me to the customer service representative that help me set up my information online. I was giving a few promotions that I was not expecting and how I could install the system on my own and save money. However, I was told I would get a 7" Tablet that I did not receive (or have yet to receive). The installation video(s) are out of date with the installation guides. Recommendation would be to get the video up to date with your latest systems. So far everything has been great!!!

I was excited purchasing the home security system. The sales rep was with me 100% in the getting this purchase complete. Very satisfied with the buying process. However, I've been dissatisfied since.
1) The sales rep informed me that I would be receiving extra window stickers and an extra yard sign with my shipment. I have not rec'd those items. I emailed the sales rep at least 3 times and called once and he never responded. Unprofessional to say the least. So, I never rec'd the extra window stickers or yard sign.
2) The free tablet that was sent with the purchase is one of the worst electronic devices I've ever owned. The tablet is a Coby Kyros Mid8048. Look up the reviews of the tablet online and you'll see what I'm talking about. It's pre-installed with your security system but you can't use it! It lags too much and never stays connected to wifi. God forbid, I needed to hit the panic button on the tablet and it wouldn't respond. It really is terrible.
3) I filled out a survey about a month ago and never heard back from LifeShield. You need to follow up with your customers. Word of mouth goes a long way.
4) Customer Service is informative but some of the people sound miserable. Maybe I'm catching some of the customer service reps on bad days but some of the people sound annoyed at questions I ask them.
I will say the last time I called with a fire alarm question, the service rep was both courteous and helpful and I'm thankful for that. LifeShield can earn my trust back. Start by being proactive and responding to this survey.

Excellent. The rep was helpful and felt that I needed a new sensor as water condensation had damaged my patio door sensor and informed me that a replacement was on the way. Company is very dependable and offer effective products with no hidden cost.

My system is awesome. Still learning. I've set it off a few times myself because a security system is new to me. In this day and age, everyone should have one. Makes me feel safe. And, the prices are lower than any other company!

I wasn't able to add my new keychains because the system said I already had keychains. The gal walked me through step by step how to add them.

I thought I was to have an included tablet (free with deal) but I was told it will ship separate after I set my system up. OK no problems.
