    I had called about my alarm system not working since maintenance upgrades were done several weeks ago.     I purchased on 6/30. System arrived 7/1 and was self-installed on 7/7. Wireless cameras were not working. Technical support could not figure out the problem. Not satisfied. On 7/8, talked to another tech support rep who offered a suggestion. Meanwhile, seven days had lapsed and I'm still in practice mode. A camera was sent for testing. Test done on 7/13. Success!     I ordered the LifeShield system several months ago. The installer was confusing and didn't explain the system well. I didn't use the system at all. Yesterday, I called and got a very helpful person on the phone. He talked me through the system and thus, I have armed it for the first time last night. I will try it based on his patient explanations. He is in PA. The system is too expensive. It makes a lot of noise to arm and disarm it. I wish I had not signed a contract for this. If you have any refunds or specials for loyalty - please let me know.

    I like the idea of a security system. I hope that I will grow to like it more than I do now. I had no idea that I would need to replace batteries. I would never have allowed the smoke detector to be put 16 feet in the air. Lower your price and get rid of the contracts - and it may work out to be a decent system. Also train your installation staff to better acquaint customers with all aspects during installation. I wouldn't put a battery up at the top of the ceiling, and I wouldn't put the base box in a bedroom. However, again - the person I talked to yesterday was great and did try his level best to make good out of this situation.

    From the first day of install until now, the company and their equipment have failed us. First, they have DirecTV installers who don't really understand the system and give false information or complete the install incorrectly. They used the magnets from our ADT system with the LifeShield sensors without telling us and which caused the system to fail later. Had to call customer service and send them a picture so they could see the problem. Promised to send a replacement and they never sent it. Also promised a credit and it never happened. Had to call again for a replacement, rep apologized and sent replacement and it took forever. Next the motion sensor fell off the wall, then the front door magnet fell off the door. Called customer service again and they think the magnet fell because the door is steel. Funny it wasn't a problem for the first 3 months. Rep promised to send more double sided tape and spacers for the sensors.

    I don't know why all of these issues aren't addressed upfront. The owner manual is missing a lot of information and there is an ongoing issue with the base showing as no power because their engineers did a poor job in development. The base has to be plugged into a wall socket in order for this glitch to be fixed. Well I don't know many people who want a cord hanging down their wall. It's unsightly. Tech support has been inconsistent in their help. I am very disappointed with this company and hated I signed up with them. I should have stayed with ADT. Now I'm in a 3-yr contract with a company I don't trust. They also sell you outside cameras that they don't install and don't explain clearly. You have to have an outside company install and then call them to have it synced up with your system. Terrible!

Anyway they directed me to customer service where I was helped right away and was able to get my pass code by answering a couple of simple security questions.     When I was told that the wireless system was self-install, I got concerned. I told the rep when I placed the initial order, I had my concerns. Told her that I was not that literate in this area. She said it was easy and that if I had concerns that I could call and get step by step guidance over the phone. Well, if I did not have Daniel's help, who assisted me via phone I never would get it done. We were not able to connect the windows due to the window frame was aluminum. How would I know this if I did not have help.

    I would guess to say it took at least 3 hours to do, even with his great help and patience. Kudos to Daniel. Secondly, it cause me to use over my 450 minute Sprint limit. I now have to pay $0.45 per minutes use of my cell. This cost will be charged until I get the phone equipment from you in the mail and get the service set up. So that is a concern and will cost me extra money. Other than that I am looking forward to joining your system. Thanks.

    The sensor located in the Master Bath is evidently located too far away from the modem and it has trouble picking it up. The Master Bath sensor has been disconnected and the security system seems to be working fine. I was told that LifeShield is working on a Repeater that will be available soon and they will contact all their customers that are having this issue so that it can be corrected. At this time our Home Security System is not a complete functioning system.

    Updated on 10/08/2015: Was directed by the tech on the steps to take to get the keypad communicating with the security system again. This is an ongoing issue that I have had to address several times. I have been told that our house needs a repeater but this will cost an additional $90.00. If you do not supply the equipment that is needed to secure my home you should have not taken the job. I will be looking for a new security system when this contract is up.

    We have been very happy with customer service the LifeShield has provided us since we have had our alarm system.     Last week there was a break-in at my home. I have the LifeShield Wireless Security system in place. While the alarm sounded within the home, I was neither alerted about the break-in by central command nor contacted by the police. When I contacted LifeShield to report this issue it took four days for a supervisor to call me back. The explanation from the "permit department" was that my system was on "practice mode". This despite the fact that I had received a permit with the city police and communicated the permit number orally with LifeShield when obtained back in August 2014 (also when I began the security service).

    Given that the alarm system failed miserably when I desperately needed it, and consequently must have been non-operational for the 10 months when I paid for the alarm, I thought at a minimum a refund was in order. LifeShield system - either faulty or customer service is incompetent to let a paying customer remain on "practice mode" for 10 months of service (why would anyone get an alarm in the first place?). While the LifeShield system appears nifty technologically as an alarm service, consumer be warned that my experience with an actual break-in event and the response afterward was reprehensible. I have discontinued the service and am contacting the Better Business Bureau.

    My alarm settings had gone crazy and I called the customer service phone number. I did not have to wait very long for a representative to answer. She proceeded to ask me how she could help and I explained my problem, she put me on hold and somehow the connection was lost. So I called again and the next representative was able to reset my system and everything was fine. When I hung up from that call I discovered that the first young woman had tried to call me back. Later in the evening my alarm started sending about a 5 note chime every 20 seconds or so. Finally after about 20 minutes I called in again and the young man who helped me was able to reset the alarm again and told me to reset the base using the red reset button. So far everything has been working fine again.

    I had multiple equipment issues with this company, which I attempted to resolve prior to a possible fine from the county due to false alarms. I then had further issues, partially due to LifeShield's poor technology, causing them to dispatch police officers over 5 times consecutively for ONE alarm event, which led to a slew of fines for me. When I contacted the company regarding the issue I was told to e-mail a manager and was provided with an e-mail address to do so. I did this and heard no response for over a week. I then called the company once again to find out that the e-mail had never even been opened. Then I was told it would be reviewed and a manager would respond to me within 48 hours. Another week went by and I called back and when I asked to speak with a manager I was told there were none available. Actually they say this every time I have asked to speak to a manager.

    I got the runaround every time I called and no one could tell me the status of the situation. After over a month of this I contacted the BBB and the company then suddenly had an expedient response which was blaming ME for them inappropriately dispatching police 6 times of a single alarm. They had no response to the poor customer service I received and the issue was never resolved satisfactorily. Lucky for them they lock customers into 5 year contracts that cost ridiculous amounts of money to get out of. I will NEVER do business with this company again. If you are considering an alarm company look elsewhere.

    I have had LifeShield for little over 2 months now. So far so good, however I have had a few technical issues. Some that cost me a visit from the local PD. 1. The sensor fail down and caused an event of which I didn't know if there was a break in or what, because the sensor fail down it caused the local PD to stop past to make sure all was well. Please LS have your tech not use the sticky tape as it does not hold, screw it to the wall. 2. All of the sensors went down, no chime, no nothing. I found out the router can't be on top of the base unit. This would have been great to know, luckily I was home. 3. The camera doesn't show in color all the time... what's up with that? So for the most part out of the gate a few problems but satisfied thus far.

    LifeShield's equipment requires a technician to come in to install it and while they are offering free installation I find it very inconvenient to book an appointment and then having to wait around for the technician to show up between a specific time slot. Now I'm thinking of going with a diy kit like Armorax's Blackbox. They are almost as reasonable as LifeShield but their equipment is very easy to install. It'll save me a lot of time and hassle. They also offer free lifetime replacement warranty and overnight shipping.

    Called because camera is not recording or working properly. Tech support didn't seem to know what they were doing. It was obvious to me that the camera never was working properly so they escalated my case to another department. After talking to customer service they wanted to credit my account for 1 month when it was obvious that the camera was never working properly. When I told them to cancel the camera from my account they transferred me to a retention specialist, which in my view made me want to cancel my account all together. Which I'm still thinking about doing once I decide on whether TWC can give me what I want.

    Just got our new system about 3 weeks ago and noticed today that the siren showed an error. I called LifeShield customer service, a very friendly woman picked up right away and had me remove the battery from the fire sensor then re-install the battery, the error was cleared. So although we are fairly new to this system, so far so good. Anytime you can get a CS agent to pick up on the second ring - that's good. We are also DirecTV customers since 1999.

    Besides replacing my security notepad, I like to thank the technician who help me to resolve my technical issues. He was very patient and listened to my problems. One of my door sensor had an intermittent problem. After trying couple of things, the technician figured out that the solution was to move my base unit closer to the center of my home, which resolved all my sensor problems.

    I am very happy with Lifeshield. Since you finally got the software for the touch pad straightened out, my system is working flawlessly. When I have had a problem the technical staff has been able to fix it right away. All except for the time that your servers failed and no one informed the poor service techs that were desperately trying to fix my system for 4 hours on the phone. That was not their fault though. Why you did not tell them is a mystery. Why was it so secret?
