We never thought we'd own a home so being able to actually own a brand new house that nobody has lived in before was what drew us to going with a new build. We had a realtor, Tim, and he showed us a listing. When he showed us our current house, we loved it and so we went in. Once we saw it in person, we fell in love with it again. Our home consultant was Larry and he was a good guy. He definitely knew his information at LGI. He sold us on the community, the amenities and the service on the growth potential for that area. So, he was real pleasant and educational. He took us to about eight or nine different homes, the only way to do it so he was very helpful.

So far, I really like the quality of the house. There was an issue with some paint and there was a leak somewhere in the roof but they were taken care of right away. Also, the house is in a nice neighborhood, and it was one of the things we were looking for when we decided to move. We haven’t had a lot of opportunities to meet our neighbors, and one thing I'm hoping for is that a lot of families move in that have kids so that our kids will have other kids to play with. We're happy, waking up every morning knowing that we own a home and not paying rent anymore. Plus it's helping us teach our kids about taking pride in our property, that it's something that we own and that we need to take care of it because it's going to be ours forever. We've been talking to our family, and I have one who's looking for a house and we've been talking to her and trying to get her out here at LGI with us.

I tried to find a good area that's safe for my kids and with a good school. All the personnel at the LGI office were good. My consultant Jack is a good man. But the house is missing some things and they were supposed to give more stuff. I went for the garage door to open if you have to get off the car and go inside to open the garage, but it's not supposed to be like that. The bathroom and shower door were supposed to be done as well. Everything else is fine and I'm satisfied.

I was looking for a place to rent online on the internet and we were in a rush to get out of our place since it was being sold from underneath us. I saw LGI Homes on the internet and I passed it up a couple of times but then, I realized it would be just like renting so I contacted LGI Homes. They set me up with Mike and everything fell in place. Mike was always there if I needed anything and Jeff, the construction guy, explained everything. All the office people were very knowledgeable and answered every question I had. So, they've done an excellent job. LGI Homes was very helpful and got everything done quickly which was a big help. They took care of everything and knew what needed to be done. They had everything set up in place well, everything flowed easily and they had a great process in place of how everything goes which made it very easy. Everything went smoothly and the experience was good.

The build was good and there were some little flaws here and there but nothing that cannot be corrected. It wasn’t as soundproof as I thought because when I came in before, there was no noise so you can’t hear anything but I’ve been hearing more noises. The front door could be sealed better to keep some of the noise out. Other than that, the layout is nice and spacious. I like the way the inside is and the landscaping outside. I'm not good with plants but they look very nice. Before we moved in, Jeff came right by and said the front looks too plain so, he asked about changing the landscaping and we agreed. They changed the landscaping and it looks a lot better now so that was a nice change.

I like LGI Homes' warranty and the confidence in knowing that my new home will be backed by a builder. LGI Homes was the first we contacted and we like the closing cost so we've worked with them from the beginning. The home consultant was sincere, he went through all the steps and everything about what the company was built on, where their main focus is, and showed the area of the house we were thinking of buying. He went through the whole process and whatever we needed. I felt comfortable working with him from the beginning. If I have any question, he responded back quickly. And everything was taken care of before we signed any paperwork.

The quality of the build was good although there were small texture defects here and there, but everything else has been decent. It's been two weeks, but they still have to put some things that were missing from outside. The construction manager said that if it went through at orientation, I shouldn't have to worry about it, so I'm waiting. However, our community has no amenities. I just wish the entrance was a bit better. For how nice the homes are in here, I feel there should be a better entrance. The entrance doesn't do any of the houses justice. Nonetheless, our home is wonderful. The neighborhood is really quiet that you can hear a pin drop. I already recommended them to a couple of my friends.

I was hoping to get a better efficiency with a new home and wanted to break in the home ourselves. We saw LGI Homes when we first came about a couple of years ago, and we inquired back then. We were looking at another house in the same road, Starlight Homes, and then drove up further. That’s when we saw LGI and they had already built homes. I dealt with two people and they were good, helpful and knowledgeable. They explained everything very clearly and I was very comfortable working with them. They’re the ones that convinced me not to go with Starlight. When I noticed something that asked if I still wanted to consider and found out what that meant, I said no and that I wanted a 30-year fixed rate with no adjustment. The reps also got back to me very quickly when I had questions.

However, we just found out certain things that we wish we had more time to look over, like the toiletry rack, the towel rack and the doorbell. I kept wondering why everybody was knocking on the door instead of ringing the bell. Then we realized there was no doorbell. Also, the community was going good until last night, when we saw a cop pull over somebody’s house and speak to someone. I was hoping nothing’s getting crazy up here. But other than that, it’s fine and we like the home.

I'm a realtor and I have two accounts with LGI. One closed recently and it's a newly built house in a good looking neighborhood that seemed to be a good fit for my client. I have another one that's closing on the 31st. LGI has good customer service and working with them has been pretty smooth. Teana was my consultant and she was spot on. LGI made it easy for me and for the buyer to get into so everybody was happy. They had incentives because it was a new construction. My client was able to get in with very little money down and out of pocket. She's a single mother and was a first time homebuyer. LGI was helpful in guiding her and she went to a couple of THDA classes and that helped out as well. They were overall very knowledgeable and a great one-stop-shopping turnkey. The quality of the house was pretty good too although there could be some improvements here and there but I'm picky. And those would probably be considered upgrades.

I’m getting older and I hope to retire in about five years. So, from my point of view, I should have very little trouble with a new home through my retirement. I’ve owned three homes, but none of them have ever been new. So, it’s nice to have a bright, shiny, new home. I did look at a lot of other builders online and I just decided to go with LGI Homes, a location I wanted, very close to work for me. Although it’s in an older part of town, it’s a new subdivision. Their rep, Cynthia, was great. She was very nice, very friendly, and very helpful. And Bernadette, the lady who handled the loan for me was great too. I was real impressed with the home. The gentleman that I went through it with the day before closing did a very, very good job. He was thorough and nice guy to get along with.

So far, the quality of the build seems fine. Time will tell. There are some things that irk me, but I can live with them. One is the closet door in the master bedroom opens inwards, which is crazy, because to get to everything, you have to go in and practically shut the door. I’m planning to have a carpenter come out and rehang it so that it opens outwards. And then the placement of the air conditioner seems a little odd because it’s upstairs. It’s not right next to the master bedroom. The hallway is in between the master bedroom and the air conditioner. They should have put that downstairs or out in the garage, because it’s pretty loud. And then when it gets going, it settles down. I thought that wasn’t too brilliant. It doesn’t bother me, but I know someone personally who I have come over occasionally who would not be able to handle that at all.

For now, there’s not a lot of people living in that community. It’s funny though. One person across the street and down a bit, diagonal to me, did holler over to me about the first day or two I was there. He just yelled out, “Howdy neighbor?” And I thought that was really nice, friendly. Overall, I’d recommend them. They’ve got some spaces blocked off for retail space which is really cool if they get that going.

I did some shopping around and what drew me to LGI was the zero down payment. The rep was awesome and it’s because of her that we bought the house. We’re from Puerto Rico and my wife has a little bit of trouble understanding English even though she speaks it, but the rep broke it down to her and explained everything to us very well. I love the house, and the community, as well as the amenities, are very good. I’ve just been living at LGI Homes for a week, and everything’s been great so far.

A new build house allows membership in HOA and the location is available in the Albuquerque area. I needed somewhere that's gonna be remotely easy and accessible to get to work to and fro. I purchased from LGI Homes after knowing about them from Zillow and my choices were slim pickings. There were only two options, the houses or a townhouse, and my agent and I decided to go with a townhouse. It had everything I was looking for so I moved forward and used my VA home loan. The home consultant helped me secure the one that I wanted because they have a first come first served policy. There were 3 available for the one I wanted and I particularly want the one on the corner which other people were competing for. He told me to expedite and give my $500 deposit down or the earnest money or the 500 down.

However, we're supposed to register the serial numbers and model numbers of the kitchen products which includes the fridge and dishwasher, and I'm having a hard time. The website is not working, so we can't register online. And when I tried to call their two numbers, no one answers. I had to use the chat feature on the website and the young lady I spoke with said that they're having problems with the website so I gotta email my closing papers in. So, it's not as easy as the instructions on the brochure had stated, but it's not LGI's fault.

When they said I'm meeting with the builder, I thought he was the one who built the property or building. But I talked to a builder who was lower on the payroll. He was a proxy builder. He came in, gave me some insight, and he was very nice, intelligent enough to tell me about the garage door and all of the components with the AC.

Nonetheless, I'm very impressed with the quality of the build of the home and it's very quiet. The number one concern for me even considering a townhome was the wall. I wanted to make sure I had enough distance between my neighbors and myself because sound is probably the biggest issue. I've had a bad experience in apartments but the LGI townhomes are quite built differently. They had to go over that with me as far as the distance and cinch installation, the gap, the 2x6, and that was important to me. The security of the way the walls were built was my concern. Then, I also have high ceilings and granite counter top. I was taken by the very exceptionally well done kitchen. So, I'm satisfied overall.

The mortgage was right within my sweet spot in what I was looking for. Also, the HOA wasn't really that high yet and the PID tax appears to be already included into the overall cost. So that was the big issue as well. Contrasting between buying a home and townhome in the way LGI had it set up, one might say that the PID is on top when they gave the figure for the house. In one of the houses I lived before, it was 1,400 a year and I paid yearly or monthly but they put that on top of the regular mortgage payment monthly.

I called CenturyLink to hook up my Internet on Saturday last week and they came out on Tuesday and they told me that they were not able to hook it up because apparently, there was a set up on the lines of the telephone and the cables. The technician communicated with some of the agents and the reps in the LGI office and they didn't really have an answer. So I talked to one gentleman there who was really close with the builders and he had said that the gentleman who built these had been building them over 20 years and so there shouldn't be a problem. I had to reschedule with Comcast. And then the next day, I unloaded some of my property back and I noticed that CenturyLink was hooking up on another condo or another townhouse there so I didn't really know what the problem was or if this has anything to do with LGI. Still, it was a big upset.

As far as the community is concerned, there's not a lot of people living in the area now and it is one of the least lowest crime rate areas in Albuquerque. It's sort of the more upper side as far as the east side of Albuquerque and that's pretty much what I'm gonna benefit from. All in all, I'm very satisfied but I'm also very intuitive and critical especially if we were gonna spend this amount of money on a property. I wanna make sure everything goes smoothly. There are some things that could have been better but overall, everybody seemed to be nice and really friendly. They really wanted me to feel comfortable and have the right information, and they provided that.

An LGI home is affordable and the home consultant is awesome. Except that she was moved to a different location before the close and so she brought another closing assistant just to help her around. The first day they drove us by the park and told us the hours people can hang out there. But we’ve also had a few issues. I’ve had to put in some requests through the LGI site but there’s a lot of homes in the area. The technician gets other requests for things so it's usually between five to seven days that we get a callback to figure out how to solve the issue.

Some of them are very minor. We've had issues with the door, the bolt not lining up with the receiver but then we’ve got some settling dirt in the backyard where we can see underneath the concrete of the front porch. So it’s starting to cause a gap in between the driveway and the lawn and I don’t want it to ruin the structure of the house. The tech said he had some other homes in the area that were gonna have some dirt coming in backfill, but it should have been figured out before. I hope that these are the only issues. And once they are fixed never have to be addressed again.

It seems once they started the house they didn’t finish it before they moved down to the next one because we had already closed on the 30th and we still have yet to have that little accent pieces attached to our garage door. We had a guy come out last Friday to look at the garage door. The handles on the outside of the garage door are only bolted on the top but bolts aren’t bolted in the bottom. And there’s no nut on the back so they’re just loose handles.

There’s supposed to be accent pieces on the side to make it look like a barn door and they’re not on. There’s also a little bit of paint on the door of the cupboard in the bathroom that should have been wiped off. The final walkthrough could have been a little smoother. When you’re spending that amount of money, you expect it to be done and complete. It just doesn’t seem to be move-in ready and we had already closed.

I came from Michigan where the pipes are really bad throughout the entire city. I had to give up my home because of that. I didn’t wanna take the chance of having anything wrong with a house before I was able to enjoy it and when I get an older home, I don’t really get a warranty. It’s as is and I’m not in the position to do as is so, I felt building one would be the best way to go. Also, a friend of mine bought a home and dealt with Chrissy, a loan officer. And that was also a reason why we did it. Working with LGI Homes has made things a whole lot easier. LGI was the only place that was building in my area. Chrissy was really good and a guy named Jason was really patient. The entire experience was long but it was cool. I ain’t had a home built for me, so that was pretty special.

However, it's important that LGI should have a little more openness on the process of the loan about what's going on because I was in limbo for a bit, while Jason was trying to work some things out so he could get me approved. Also, the homes have the same amount of value, but I didn't get the same amount of amenities. I didn’t want my house to be exactly like the person's across the street but I couldn't pick the kind of flooring when building and my house is the only one in the area that does not have a patio or any kind of back porch.

Other than that, the quality of the build is really nice and the community seems safe. I have left my door open two times and everything that I left in it was still in it the way I left it. I was happy with that. And I feel better that this house is mine and that I live in a community where other people feel the same way about their property. I don’t have to worry about coming home and seeing a tractor in front of the house next door or a car graveyard. It’s a wonderful feeling.

We were looking for houses on the Kyle area and we wanted a new build because of the warranty thing. Also, when you get a house, you'll have it for at least a 30-year period. And if you get an older home that's 20 years old already, by the time you pay it off in 15 years, it's gonna be a 45-year-old house. When LGI Homes popped up on Facebook, we saw that they were in the Kyle area so we decided to check them out. The home consultant who assisted us was really good and helpful. The steps they took were a little modernized but she was always there to help out and she assisted us on many things that we needed as well as on any questions we had.

We just moved to our LGI community we haven't had time to explore it yet. But so far, it's great and they got a lot of stuff going on. To me, there are some other stuff that could have been added to the house for the price we got it for like a garage door opener and ceiling fans. And they could have put blinds on all the windows but they only put three. But other than that, the quality is good and I would recommend LGI to a friend or a family.

We had previously purchased a town home and we went through the process of maintenance and repairs, and we figured that when we bought our first single family home, we would want to use a new construction. The service at LGI was incredible. I liked the fact that you could go ahead and go through the financing process and loan process at the builder's site, which made it very convenient for us instead of having to go through a different financing company, meet with them and go back and forth with our papers at a different location. It was a smooth process to meet with your sales representative and come back, fill the paper work, meet with your loan agent right there on site and finalize the closing right on site.

I have nothing but great things to say about Morita, our sales representative. Shannon, the construction builder, was outstanding. And Paul, the sales manager, has been instrumental with taking care of my family. When we did our walk through, there were a couple of issues but nothing extreme. There was a light fixture that needed to be repaired, some painting that had to be touched up and I had a door handle that needed to be replaced. But they were able to be wrapped up very quickly for us.

The whole process was geared in creating an overall great customer experience. From the moment we asked a question to the moment that we were sitting down and closing, there was never a drop in communication along the way, and that's something that goes a long way when you're buying a home. There was never a moment that I didn't know what was going on, and if there was an issue, there wasn't any moment that I wasn't reassured that they were gonna take care of something.

There’s stuff in the kitchen, but the bathrooms have nowhere to hang towels. They are literally just cabinets. I’ve only been here for about two weeks and there were few holes that the builders left. For the standards of the homes now which are in my price range, a new build has three or four bedrooms while some of the older homes that I would have looked at only had two-bedrooms. So, I decided to buy a new build since it fits my new lifestyle. I went on the internet on Trulia to look at homes in the area where I wanted to live in and I came across seven builders. LGI was one of them and their houses were similar. But when I looked at this particular house for the first time, it fit all the things that I was looking for. It was on a corner lot, had a garage in the back versus the front, and fit all the boxes for me.

Then, I went to the LGI's office to ask questions and Dave was the guy who told me everything upfront. He was an awesome dude and he told me what was included, what was not included, what they do and don't do, and about the area. I ended up dealing with him and he wasn't pushy at all. All in all, their process was pretty easy and really step-by-step.

So far, there were a couple of things that needed to be addressed on the house and the last thing was done this morning. The quality seems to be equal to a lot of the houses that I looked at over the last year and two months and the community has a very nice layout. The exact area where I'm at is right across the street from a park and the closest neighbor to me is offset into the rear. So, the whole subdivision seems to be spaced nicely. Plus, the location is right in my fishing area and I can be in the water in 10 minutes. The amenities are also fine and they don't offer upgrades in this location but that's something that I can live without and I can just improve the house as I go.

They were very patient and answered all our questions. I liked a new build better than older homes because a lot of older homes come with issues. Sometimes, the seller doesn't really tell you about those issues.

The LGI Home I got was new and I'm the first one in the house. The quality of the build has been fine and I like the community so far. The houses are very spaced out from each other which brings a lot of privacy. Although the houses are still filling in, it's quiet so far and the neighbors are okay. However, there is one neighbor who keeps having his four-wheeler up and down the road, which is illegal. Other than that, it's been perfect and we love it.

But recently, I decided on a new build ‘cause I didn’t want to give in to something that was older that I might have to work on or fix up as time went on. I saw a flyer for LGI Homes and checked other ones like KB Homes, Fulton and some of the other ones that are here in Phoenix. LGI was a lot cheaper and seemed to be the best one around as I liked the style of their houses. Their consultants were really good, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They called and texted me a lot, answered a lot of my questions and seemed to know what they were doing. I felt comfortable purchasing a home from them. I picked the model that I liked the most and they just completed mine not too long ago so I haven’t quite moved in yet. But as for the quality, I'm satisfied with it. I'd recommend LGI Homes.

He knew quite a bit, but he's been doing it for a while in this certain area. Any question that I had, he had answers for, which I really appreciated. Some people just talk the talk but he actually went through. Being able to park at the back sold me on the house and I understand that the house is a four-bedroom with two and a half bath, but the amenities that went with it made it seem as if I didn't get what I paid for. It has no gutters, ceiling fans, countertops, or top flooring. But I can always do the upgrades on my own.

It feels good to settle in my new home. I've been in and out of addresses for a year and now, I finally have an address. The only thing is, there are no swings in the park and they told me that the sprinkler system would hit us in May 1st, but it's not yet finished. Other than that, this is a nice and diverse neighborhood and I would recommend LGI Homes.

A downstairs neighbor in the apartment that I used to stay in recommended LGI Homes to me. Then, when we came out to the area, we liked it so, we went ahead with it. Bryan, the home consultant, was very knowledgeable and he helped me out a lot. Also, we love the quality of the built and we enjoy the amenities in the community. We went out and spent time in the park and out at the little dock where they have with the fishing dock. It's a lovely place to live.

My real estate agent recommended me over to LGI Homes and I got to know that they are the builder. It's better to have a new home. It's a new build and everything is new. And the price is the reason why I like it. So, I just bought a house from LGI and their people are real nice, friendly and very helpful, especially my loan officer is Katie. Everything is great in the buying process and the quality of the build of the house is great. But there are minor things that need fixing. There's a crack on the concrete on the floor inside the garage, but LGI already set up for a guy to be in our house on May 25th to take a look. Then there's an issue with our water pressure that they didn't do right. Also, the shower has kept leaking and dripping for four days. I put in the work order to LGI already and they said that someone will contact me regarding the water pressure and the shower head.

We liked the warranty on a new build so we got one from LGI Homes. My wife and I liked the area where it was at and they were the only ones building in that area at that time. Shane, our home consultant, was good at what he did. He knew very much what he was doing and was very educated on the whole community. But for the most part, when he responded back information that we required from him, he was not quick with it. But eventually, he got to it. Then Eddie took over our account and sometimes we went three days without hearing something from them. So, I was comfortable working with their team but they should improve in their communication. As for the home, we had some small issues when we moved in, but the building manager is taking care of that right now. I also like the community. I have two little ones and the park and community is pretty good.

Horton but I didn’t like the locations where they were building at. I had a friend who got a house from LGI so we decided to go with them. Their rep was great. He was very upfront with everything. I like the warranty on everything for a new build house. I went to LGI Homes on a Sunday and looked at two houses. And within a half hour, I signed papers to buy the house. There weren't a lot of interactions but I probably talked to the loan department more than I did with the LGI rep. The guy in the loan department said there was some stupid thing on my credit and that was a pain in the butt. I had to go back and forth to the loan company. And then now, I'm a little ticked off because I've had a few things I wanted to take care of and I'm about to call them up to ask. The quality of the build is great but a little bit cheap on the fixtures. I'm still trying to figure out why I don't have towel bars in a brand new house. Nonetheless, I tell friends who ask about LGI where I'm looking at. And when it comes to buying a house, all about location and price have to be told.

I am a first time homebuyer and new to the area. I looked at some builders then I got a flyer in the mail about LGi Homes at my PO Box. It was a matter of timing and I decided to go with them. I wanted to be the first person that moved into the house and I ended up buying a new build. The home consultant I worked with was very knowledgeable in the real estate market and he had the answer for every question I asked.

When I was getting ready to close on the house and I moved in, it still wasn’t ready and there were still stuff that were not fixed yet like the dishwasher and the garbage disposal that were wired the wrong way. I've been calling them up trying to get them to get the electrician over to fix that wiring. Then there's a piece where I can't attach my washer and dryer because they have this piece they left on it that they still haven't taken off and you can't just take it off with a regular tool. There's also damage to the gutter outside and it looks like somebody stepped on it. And it looks like when they painted the house, they got swatches of the paints on the driveway and on the back porch as well. They even got paint inside the peephole when they were painting the door. So, the construction company did a sloppy job.

I've been trying to get in touch with their maintenance guy for about two weeks now but I couldn't get him on the phone. He'd catch me back periodically sometimes and he would say that he was trying to chase people down right now. I texted him today and he said again he's gonna try to get the electrician in contact with me to fix the dishwasher situation.

I feel like they're not really up to fix the stuff since I already closed on the house. Another thing is, their guy came to set up the sodding pump yesterday and he told me that they never install the actual controls for it. So, he couldn't set it up and they couldn't plant the grass yet. I asked him how long did he think it would take and he said there was no telling. He also said that there's somebody who has the same issue which has been going on for over a week now and they still haven't installed his sodding pump. Then, I had the AC guys come over today because the AC stopped working. It was on the warranty, so they came over and they said that the wiring wasn’t connected properly and the AC needed more Freon. Then they fixed it and I was surprised it went down so fast.

Other than those issues, it's a good house. The structure changed pretty good and I like the color of the paint as well as the design. I like the crawlspace, too, as far as that goes. As for the community, I know there's a playground in the area but they are still doing a lot of construction out there. All in all, I was very dissatisfied with my experience and I wouldn’t want anyone to end up with the construction issues that I have.

LGI Homes pay closing costs which would minimize my cost so I went with them. The home consultant was nice and very comfortable to talk to. However, we felt we got tricked because we’re still here in Florida and we still have to pay the rent where we are at right now. And we also have another $2,000 we have to pay to break our lease. So, we felt like if they had told us the truth we would have settled for a Tuesday move versus Monday. If they had just waited one day, they would have been able to spare us a payment. Nonetheless, we were treated with utmost respect and they were very nice to us.

We like the build of our house. We haven’t spent much time in it but we’d usually drive there on weekends and so far, so good. It would’ve been nice though if we had a club house already, because they have LGI Homes in Florida and they have club house, gyms, a community pool there. But this one only has a playground and a place to cook outside. But other than that, we like our community because it’s quiet and we’re happy with our house. I would still recommend them because their prices are cheaper in Georgia versus Florida.

We ended up buying what looked like a spec home, which our real estate agent gave to us in an open listing. The LGI rep was there to let us in ‘cause they didn’t have a lockbox on the door. I didn’t like the vibe with him. This is the fifth home I've purchased through my life. It had granite countertops, but it still had the cheapest lights you can get. And there were no screens on the windows so we had to ask him to do that stuff. And he was like, “I've got somebody coming in here in an hour and he's gonna look at this.” I felt like he was really pressuring us to buy the house and I didn’t like that.

When we went to the officer and we met with the manager, I had a much more positive feeling. If we hadn’t also met with the manager, I'm not sure we would have bought the home. Also, the young man who was over the walkthrough really made sure everything was done right. When we looked at the house, the smoke detectors were not on the walls and there was just the wiring, and he said he'd fix that. And everything that he said that he would fix, he did. He turned a negative situation into a positive one. The home itself is very well-made and we haven't had any problems with any of the products.

I also felt like LGI was pushing us to use their lender when we already had our lender and our financing lined up. Mine was a relocation, so my company was paying for all of my closing costs. The salespeople were a little pushy saying, “The only way we'll pay the closing cost is if you use our finance company.” And to me, it wasn’t a big deal because I already had it lined up through my company. Overall the quality of the product is so high, but LGI's sales team could definitely benefit from some additional training.

Also, I saw the billboard that said zero down and that really struck my interest so I wanted to go see what that was about. And I liked the whole experience when I went. It was very educational so I decided to go with LGI and didn't even check any other builders out. Molly was my home consultant and she was very friendly and personable. She took the time to get to know what we were looking for in a home and a little bit about me. It appeared like if she knew everything that we were asking and if she didn’t explain something before we even had to question, she was able to give us the answer once we asked.

The home so far seems pretty good. There were a few minor things that needed to be fixed like I had a few dents on my garage door which I'm still waiting for them to fix. They just finished building a park down the street which seems really nice. The only thing that I would say I would improve or ask for differently would be a little more space between the homes. They're really close together, but they look beautiful and the landscaping is nice. I love my new home. It’s just so nice to have a place that you could call your own, so I'm much happier.

My daughter wanted to stay in Medina Valley District so before doing everything else she went on the internet and looked at different houses in the area. She did all the consulting. She looked at the LGI Homes website and set up the appointment. I didn’t even know she had set up the appointment until they called. So, we went in, I was kind of livid, and the consultant was like, “Okay. You ready?” And I said, “Nope. Talk to my daughter.” She went ahead and said the choices of houses they wanted and what would be in our budget range. Then I just gave my financial information and the consultant came back and he was like, “Okay. Let’s go look at houses.” This was in January, but I was still kinda adamant. And then he called back in February and that’s when everything started.

The build is good. It’s just like any house. There are little outs and ins here and there that they missed that I know we have a year to file on under the construction. It’s bigger space. We like having our own adventures and our own spaces. For the price and everything, they’re smaller homes, but it’s decent. We’ve just been to our house and my son is looking forward to going to the pond. That seems like fun.

But in January the consultant said, “This is your rate.” And then he called in February, “The rates went down.” But it was the same rate. The rates didn’t go down. He was like, “No, no.” And I was like, “Those are the exact same numbers.” That was not cool. Also, I was in the apartment with 30-day letter and they said they would help but they didn't. The consultant said he can write it for me, and then he sent me a template last week but I was already out. He forgot. And then I said, “Okay.” And then he said he faxed it and never came through. And then he said he faxed it again and he’s like, “Let me just send it to you. That’s just a template. You fill it out.” That was one of my things that I was adamant about because I didn’t wanna break my lease. And he’s like, “No. We can handle it.” I’m like, “Okay. It wasn’t handled.” So, I have to do that and I’m gonna have to pay an extra month of rent. But it’s okay because I know they’re busy.

We went together through all the process smoothly. I bought the second house I chose because I lost the first one. The thing with LGI Homes was whenever we'd take a look around and choose a house, they would give us a sold sign that we'd bury in front of the house then take a picture of us. In that moment, we'd get excited. But with the first home, I had detail with my paperwork and they released the house without notifying me in advance so it wasn't available anymore for us.

The quality of the house we purchased, along with the quality of the locks, is very good, though. All the paperwork was very supportive for that quality and the conditions as well. But, I have some details that I already reported to the area mining's guy before we closed, and I haven't seen they have closed these open points. The new community where we are is excellent too. My consultant James was the best. I was impressed by his knowledge and his communication. He broke down everything in regards to financing and my options with the floor plans and everything LGI was to offer. What really set LGI apart from the other builders that I worked with was that they knew the financing part and not only the sales part about buying a home. And they kept me very informed. I was able to understand what I could and could not afford and the benefits about buying a home through LGI. Also, James was communicating with me more than I was communicating with him. He checked on me every single week. He always made me feel comfortable and I always felt like I could trust what he was telling me. It didn’t feel like a sales pitch. It felt like he cared about the purchase that I was making. He did above and beyond everything I've asked.

I love my home. I love everything about it. It has definitely made life easier and it makes me wanna come home and be off of work. Whenever I'm not at work, I'm always at home. It's relaxing to be able to have something that's actually yours. I have the Barton, a three-bedroom with a very open floor plan. That was why I picked it over the Camaro. The kitchen basically has a double island 'cause the sink is an island in itself. It has tile floor floors through every room except the bedroom so all the common areas. I also have a covered patio and it's completely brick around. The Camaro has like a wood post and mine is like the insert of a house so it's covered. It's like nothing can break it down because it's brick. I also love the fact that the laundry room has a built-in cabinetry with the granite on top and the shelving at the top.

My master bedroom is huge and my bathroom is amazing. My closet is huge and it doesn’t have a door. That's my favorite thing about the bathroom because it looks like a spa setting in there. It's really pretty. My little sister's room also has a very nice size, and our guest bedroom and bathroom are nice. A lot of times you'd see homes where the guest bedroom could make the master bedroom look larger but I don't have a problem with space at all. My living room is massive and my dining room area is really big too. I have a big table in there and there's still a lot of room around. I like the community too. I live across the park area and I can tell that they're gonna probably be developing more.

LGI Homes would be very good for first home buyers. Even if it isn't your first home, it's just a really nice home. My parents and everyone who has come and visited me loves it. They love all the things like the floor plan, the insulation, the pest control routine and the sprinkler system. It's definitely worth everything. The price is very reasonable with what they give you.

When I saw this new residence coming up, I thought, "Hey,why don't we fill out and look at this," and my husband agreed. Emily was the first person who I spoke with and she was absolutely terrific. She actually sold us the house which we liked the floor plan and it was in our budget. Also, once we we found out more things about the warranty that the house came with, we thought this was a great option. The location was in the area that we wanted to live in too. We're just really happy and excited that within a month, we were able to look at the house with Emily, closed, and moved in. Our baby is due soon too, and it's just been so right that we're stuck.

But what I liked most about the process was that Emily made it such an easy one. She did a fabulous job throughout the entirety of it. There was no question left unanswered. She gave me her cellphone number and told me to text or call her any time that we have questions or we wanted to come by and see the house. It was nice having that almost like a friendship with someone as you're buying the house through the process. She's sweet as she can be. Even today she still sends text messages to check on us and make sure that we're doing okay and enjoying our house. And so far, we don't have any complaints. The quality of the build is good and we're overall very happy with our choice and being residents in this location. I've also told several friends about LGI who were interested. I sent Emily a text message saying I've told them to text her and she didn't mind.

I work in Texas City and there was an ad for LGI homes for a community called The Seacrest. We started looking at those floor plans and found out there was another community near 288 called Sterling Lakes. Our LGI consultant, Angela was very friendly and helped us along the way. We realized as we were talking with our consultant and hearing other consultants in the building that she was very personable and was definitely a notch above all the other people we heard. She had a great attitude. If we couldn't understand what we were asking over the phone or email, Angela would welcome us to come to the office. She would tell us that we could come look at the house again. She would say that she could explain in person until we understood.

So far, we loved the quality of the build. We have brought family members over as well and they have loved it. My wife and I are going to have a new baby. We also have another kid who's a year and a half and she's loving our home. She has a lot more room to run around and she's more comfortable. I also love that the LGI community has a lot of facilities and really beautiful landscaping. There's a lake that I can see from my backyard. It's a big community and I love that.

Travis, the LGI Homes rep, was very personable. Any questions that Travis didn't have the answers to, LGI found 'em. We went with a new build since my husband is not a handyman, and I like the quality. You get good quality home for your price. I also liked the location. It's quiet, and I love it because we're in a cul-de-sac and my kids love going outside now. I used to have to drag them outside.

Updated on 02/10/2019: I now lived at my home I bought 2018. All my tickets I put in for work to completed has never been completed at all by LGI. They didn't even fix the issue that was reported on my walk thru. I found a hole in the wall behind the stove since then. Don't clean your walls because the paint wipes right. There a lot of issue with their homes. I will never tell anyone to buy from LGI unless you know that the work is correctly. Know what you are looking at because this company will never complete anything they said they would do or be. I feel like I was lied to from the very beginning. Horrible built home is all I can see. Cheaply made.

Original Review: I bought a house with LGI on January 26, 2018 but after buying I wish I would of reviewed the company more. I bought the house 3/2 and I am very disappointed in the house. I have put service warranty tickets 3 weeks after moving in. I have nothing completed but when you contact the salesperson and got no help. They use cheap appliances and fixtures that don't hold up or work very well. I have been here going on 3 months and have only person contact me about warranty tickets but he never showed up at my house as he stated he would.

I typed LGI Homes up on Facebook and they popped up. I liked their house, which was comfortable, so I went with them. The home consultant, Elena, who helped me out in getting a home was really good and I was very comfortable working with her. I was impressed with how knowledgeable she was about the houses. LGI did a pretty good job. They called me back and they were on time, and they were fast with everything. The quality of the build of the house that I got from them is amazing and I like it a lot. Also, I love the community. It’s quiet all the time and I like that. I’m satisfied with the amenities that LGI offered with the community. We’ve only been living there for about a week now and I’m closer to my work, so that’s a plus. Our experience with LGI Homes was all right and I’d recommend them to a friend. They've got beautiful homes.

I stopped by LGI Homes, asked a question and ended up purchasing the home. The rep, Vanessa, was very convincing. We were renting for a while and she just said that she could get us into our home. We looked at some homes and fell in love with one, and then we went from there. She was really nice and well knowledged. They were well informed and very pleasant to deal with. Even some of the other sales reps that we talked to, they're all, as soon as you walk in, "Would you like a drink? Would you like some snacks?" They're great with their customer service.

I like the way our home is set up. We were in a rental and when we went out our yard, the neighbor was right behind us. But here, we looked over the lawn to the neighbors' yard. Also, there are walking trails between us and the houses. The actual lot that they're built on is bigger. We have a local swimming pool right in the area. The community is expanding themselves so I'm sure they're going to get some other things going with it. They should slow down the build a bit, but I understand that everything has to be done in a timely manner. Try LGI Homes first. Their service and representation is "A+".

I was on the internet trying to figure out where I need to be and why because I've been renting out. I'm first time home buyer and was frustrated. When I got on the website the advertisement popped up for LGI and I was like, "Okay, maybe one more try." So I just filled out the form and the guy had called me over the phone. I was excited of when to go in and it all ended up within a full thirty days. I was closing with my house so it was amazing. The people that I met during the home buying process at LGI Homes were wonderful. They saw me as a human being, listened to me and they did everything they could for me so that I could purchase my home.

I told the consultant everything I went through. I was just gonna give it up. I was done trying to buy houses. Everybody's telling me I can't do this, I can't do that and he was like, "Just give us a try. It won't hurt you to just come in, look around, feel you way about and then we'll see what you got and then we'll go from there." And from that point it was simply out of my hands.

I had a few minor stuffs, like plumbing issues, a small roof leak and then the cable wire was completely on the wrong side of the house. That was the only thing that kind of made me feel like, "Okay. Who was the quality control person to make sure and check that everything was accurate?" I didn't wanna put cable as far as in the walls and stuff like that. So they came out and didn’t run the wire for the cable to even be hooked up in the house. I was very grateful and I just took it for what it was. This was my first time and I thank God for what I have. It did not have the wireless cable so they had to make another hole and run another line so I can get that wireless access at least. But the wire that I was really supposed to have, it was not even in the wall.

I love the community. It's too quiet. I can actually lie on my bed and feel like I'm home and I belong. LGI has improved my life a lot. Everything worked out for me. Even if you think you can't and somebody told you you won't be able to buy, I'd still say give them a chance, an opportunity to see what they can do for you because I know they're gonna go out of their way for you. I had referred LGI to a couple of friends, trying to get them to believe in themselves and believe that they can actually do it.

The home consultant who worked with me was accurate. He was straightforward with me and let me know everything upfront. I had a good experience with LGI. But then, I found something in my house that made me think that someone else had lived there and I didn’t like that at all. I asked the guy if anyone had lived there and he told me no, so I just took his word for it. But I've got stuff in my bathroom, such as blonde hair that I don’t have, which shouldn’t have been in there. If someone had lived in the house before, they could have honestly told me. I'd tell friends to check their bathroom first before they buy from LGI. Nevertheless, the quality and build of the home that I got from LGI are okay. In addition, I like the community, which is really nice, and I’m satisfied with the amenities offered there.

I talked to the people from LGI and then they asked me to come talk to them. That was when things started happening and in a positive way. Everything looked fine to me, like all the mortgage terms, the monthly MIs and the size of the home. We came inside the home and looked at the home. Although these homes look little or they're not that spacious as I expected, they are new homes with a big lawn so finally it was okay for us to go for our home.

Initially, we had some roadblocks like we wanted to change from one location to another and the consultant didn’t think that's a good thing. There were things there we were not agreeing but then finally we were okay. We just went in one direction. If they could have asked me about four-bedroom home rather than three-bedroom, then I could have gone for that because I still think the houses are not spacious. If they could have offered me the four-bedroom or bigger ones. I think they could have also told me, "Okay. There are future plans." Because I like the homes, which are now getting built and they have a very beautiful view in front, although my home also has. And I really wanted to wait. I could have waited and gotten a bigger home than this with a better view. But then that thing was never asked and that information never came to me. We could have gone for a better version of what we just have.

But the community is very calm and quiet. I'm happy and relaxed since I have a new home. Basically, the check and downpayment enabled us to in fact even think of getting a new home. Otherwise, we could have waited and then have a plan for the down payment. But then these downpayment plans they just didn’t help us. They will help a lot more people who have dreamed of dream homes so this is a kind of dream home for us. I'm pretty relaxed. At least we have our own property and this will not just help us it will help many others.

My wife and I listened to everything, did what he told us and he set up an appointment with us for us to go back. Working with him was wonderful. Then, we heard some good news from LGI.

Furthermore, the quality of the build was wonderful. It's the most space for me and my family and my wife and I both love it. Also, our community is wonderful. There are different families but as we walked around the neighborhood, it's pretty decent and clean. There are kids playing with other kids. We are also closer to our jobs now so that's an A-plus. We're closer to the kids' daycare as well. It's also better for our children as there is a good school within our area. I'll recommend LGI to our friends because they're really helpful.

I contacted LGI Homes through their website, and they called me the next day about setting up a time to look at some properties. We went over the basics of what I had in mind and the agent said he had some properties that would be a good fit for us. I knew my husband and I wouldn't pre-qualify for a mortgage because of our student loans and the fact that we are just starting our careers and don't have the job history needed, so I didn't get pre-qualification before going to the appointment. When we got there everyone was really nice, they offered us something to drink and got us set up in a little conference room to talk with one of the agents. The agent was really friendly and listened to all of the things that were important to us in a home and once again said that there were some properties he thought we would like.

Then he asked about pre-qualification and I told him we were just starting the process and hadn't been pre-qualified yet. I mentioned that we would most likely need a cosigner and that we had 2 family members willing to cosign for us, but he urged us to go ahead and see if we could pre-qualify on our own or if we would need the cosigners. I knew qualifying on our own would be a long shot, but the agent said we should at least try it before viewing the houses so we could look at the properties and not be worried about the money because we would already know whether we qualified alone or if we would need a cosigner. That seemed reasonable enough, so we agreed to it.

As expected, we didn't qualify alone, but we knew we had cosigners willing to sign with us so we weren't that concerned. At that point we thought we were going to see the houses he mentioned since he said we'd do that once we knew whether or not we needed a cosigner. Instead, we had to sit there for at least 30 minutes while the agent went over our credit reports with us. Of course we already knew what was on there which is why we had 2 cosigners lined up. Going over the credit reports felt like being sent to the principal's office, and it was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing. Once we finally finished going over our reports he gave us some options and told us how much our cosigner(s) would need to make each month for it to work out. At this point we were becoming more and more discouraged, but we knew that if we used both cosigners their combined income would be enough.

Once we settled on using both cosigners, we thought we would finally get to look at the properties, but again that didn't happen. While we were going over everything, we told him that one of our cosigners lived 8 hours away and the other would have to fly in because they lived over 26 hours away, so obviously we wanted to look at the properties and make sure we actually liked them before we had our cosigners travel for that long. Instead, he told us to talk to our cosigners and then gave us his card on our way out so we could get back to him if we were still interested.

After spending 2 hours in the office and not being able to see any houses, we decided we would not be back. I understand that people who qualify are their main priority, but they could have at least let us see the model we were most interested in if they wanted us to come back with our cosigners. I'm not going to ask someone to travel that long to cosign for a house we may not even like because weren't allowed to look at it.

We really like the look of the LGI homes and the opportunity for zero down. We went there on a Saturday and we scheduled an appointment to come in the following week. We met with Sunny and she walked us through everything from looking at different homes to our prices range. We had to bring our kids that day and she was great with them. Also, she gave us updates on how everything was going. She really got to know us and what we were looking for not just trying to push a sale. She seemed very knowledgeable and she answered all the questions we had.

The house was in the price range we were looking for and it was just nicer to get a new home with all the space we needed for myself, my wife, and our kids. The quality of the build is good and we are enjoying the house a lot. The community is nice, though it’s just starting out and there’s still construction going on next door to us. Also, Sunny had mentioned that they were gonna be building some kind of rec center and some pool and my children are excited about that. We’re around the corner from a park they put in with a splash pad and my kids have gone and enjoyed that.

The area is a little out there but it’s a lot calmer. My kids can go out and play and not worry somebody is speeding by and they can go out in the backyard if they want to. It’s a big stress reliever. Also, all of my three kids now have their own room and I don’t have to worry about them being too loud. And it’s a lot more comfortable. LGI Homes has some nice builds, good quality and I have recommended them to my mother-in-law.

In a new build house, there's not much that is needed to do to it for quite a while rather than finding a house that one doesn't really know what they're gonna get themselves into or what problems they're gonna have. And also, it gave me more opportunity for me to buy a home. I tried going with banks before but they gave me a hard time.

Somebody at work had told me about LGI Homes, then I logged in and I requested some information. I liked what they were offering and I didn't look at any other builders, so I went with the process with them. And I actually went to two of their locations. I made an appointment first to one location and then I found another location and I made another appointment with that location. I signed up with the first location then I got a phone call the next day from my other appointment. I told them that I had already gone and had already picked out a lot and they asked me where. I told them that they don't have a lot but they told me about a different location, so I said that I didn't know they had more than one location. So I spoke to them and I went over to them, which is where I am now.

I liked the upgrade that the second location is having so I switched over. I already had my mind set on what I wanted and I already had all my paperwork from the previous LGI location, so it was a really quick process. My home consultant was Chris and he understood because we have spoken before and he was very nice. We walked in there, he showed us some prints, some numbers, and we liked what we saw.

The first location didn't have any house to show except pictures and lots. But Chris showed me two homes and I picked from them. He explained the community and what they offered and I loved it. Actually walking into an empty display home was very helpful because it's hard when you're only looking through pictures. Plus, Chris had a very positive attitude. He was very straightforward and didn't give me any runarounds. I told him that I'd rather see the houses that I'm qualified for and he showed me all the houses that I'm qualified. He explained to me what it had and what it didn't have. He also answered my questions. Then I was asked which day I was available to come in for the loan process and I kept in contact with the loan officer from there on. That went smoothly. Everybody was very helpful and they're still very open for me to go and talk to them or ask questions if I have any even after I'm done with the process.

I like the house's overall quality of the build so far. It looks great and I can't wait to see LGI finish building. I love the home and it's the way I saw it the first time. Also, the amenities offered in the community are great. It takes time to get used to it and I'm still exploring around there to see where everything's at and finding new routes. I really enjoy it and it's a great opportunity. It's a great experience knowing I'm paying for something that is mine. I've been renting for so so long so it's a good feeling to know that I'm not throwing my money away. In addition, I would recommend LGI Homes. Some people at work asked me who I went with and I told them they should check out LGI Homes.

The consultant walked in, introduced himself and let us know the short history of LGI Homes and the neighborhood. I stayed in contact with him and felt comfortable working with him.

So then by next time we were supposed to meet I was confused because Tabatha called me to set up another appointment and Robert emailed me and they were both talking about two different things.

So anyways me and Tabatha made plans to meet. I left work early to meet her and she wasn’t there! The secretary said I can wait for someone else to talk to while she tried getting ahold of Tabatha. I said I would just go and reschedule. So like I said Robert had emailed me to set up an appointment. He said we could meet Saturday at 3 pm. I said, "I would have to clear my schedule." He said, "Ok I’ll call you back Wednesday or Thursday to confirm."

I cleared my schedule. I never heard back from him. I was embarrassed to just show up without the meeting being confirmed. So I later emailed him back since I never heard back from either one. He had told me he pulled my credit score and stuff. So I told him (through email) if me and my fiancé weren’t qualified it would be nice to at least know. That’s fine. We’ll just keep working on our credit and give it another try later. He assured me we were fine. We can come pick a house yada yada. It’s sad they gave me the runaround, I was so excited and they just shut me down. I had told all my family and friends about LGI Homes and how great they were, how they work with you and now I’m just so embarrassed.

Our realtor knew of the new builds in the area and we learned about LGI Homes through him. We were really impressed by the house and our realtor who also does home inspections said the quality was really good. The look and feel of it seemed like it was a quality home. The rep was very reachable via email and phone when we had any questions come up and was very flexible with her schedule for us.

However, after closing, we had a lot of issues with our garage door and trying to get that serviced. Our home is under warranty and the garage door repair company keeps telling us to go to the builder. But then we went to the builder and they told us to go through the garage door company. It’s been really difficult and maybe LGI Homes can make that easier, wherein if any warranty issue comes up, we can have them accessed more readily. Other than that, we felt very comfortable working with the LGI team. The rep's level of knowledge could not have been better and apart from some minor things, the quality of the build is very good. My new home is wonderful and is everything I thought it’d be.

LGI Homes was fantastic. They had excellent service, were very expedient, and did a great job getting me a loan. It was not an easy loan but they were very professional and the process went fine. However, the home was nice but I’ve seen a lot of areas in it during the couple of days that I’ve been in there that appeared to be very rushed.

The caulk around the sink in the bathroom was not even and was half an inch away from the sink, the mirror in the master bathroom was all scratched to pieces and there were holes in the trim that weren’t repaired in the closet. I’ve ran into some issues but haven’t turned them in yet because my wife and I just moved in and are leaving for Kenya soon and we haven’t really had the chance. I probably would’ve held off on the closing and made sure they fixed those but everything was done very quickly and part of that’s our fault as we were in a hurry when we did the walk through. Hopefully, they’ll fix it when I get back.

I was familiar with KB Homes and my parents bought houses from them and other places. Then I drove by some of LGI Homes' signs on the side of the highway and I checked them out. I was more going towards an older home, but my wife didn’t want to do all the renovating so we went with a new build. The consultant we talked to was great. He was very informative, very helpful, took his time with us, and saw that it was our first time.

When we bought the home, we were so excited so we didn’t really check it fully. Later, we notice that there were little things that needed to be addressed. For instance, somebody dropped one of the cabinets in the kitchen and the whole bottom piece was broken off. It was bad and was placed as if they were hoping nobody would notice it because you had to duck your head underneath one of the cabinets to see it. But they're taking care of that and everything else is great. I was surprised how quiet the community was and I was very satisfied with the amenities. Living in our new home make sour lives a lot better. It gives us more privacy and makes us more comfortable.

For warranty purposes, I opted for a newly built home. Nobody else was there and everything was brand new. LGI offered a free down payment and the community, Bridgewater, is nice. Morida was my consultant and she was nice and very helpful. She was good and she walked me through everything. We're still not totally in, we're still processing moving in. I've been painting and I'm here in Bridgewater trying to get a few things cleaned up.

But I'm not too happy with a lot of stuff. With regard to the landscaping, LGI said that was going to be replaced because of some coldness that came through but it still has not been replaced. There was a hole outside and I told LGI somebody was going to get hurt and that they needed to fill it in with dirt and put the grass. But I found out there was a pipe there and when I turned on the sprinkler system, Mount Rushmore water came flying out of the ground. I called LGI and told them that. Nobody put a sprinkler head there and water was pouring out. They told me to turn it off which I did. They came by and they put some dirt there and stuck it up. But they still have not cast it and they still have not put a sprinkler head on it. I just called them and it has been another week and I can't use my sprinkler system. They're also supposed to fix my door but they haven't yet.

If they come here and fixed everything today, that's fine. But when it takes a week to fix stuff, that's kind of long. I paid for the house and LGI is not doing what they are supposed to be doing. Given my experience, other people should be careful and they should make sure everything is done to their liking. I think LGI rushed a little bit and they did not take their time building for the amount of money that I paid.

When we first got to LGI, we talked to a gentleman who explained the program and everything to us. We were then passed off to a young lady who took us out through the facility to look at the community and the different homes. Our consultant was Christine and we were very comfortable with her. She was very polite and very concerned about what we wanted. She didn’t use any high-pressure tactics. It was an overall a wonderful experience and it was very quick. We enjoyed working with the people, the consultants. The loan application and all was very smooth.

We liked that the house was a new home so there was less maintenance to start with. The zero down and zero closing costs were important too. I've been in the maintenance and construction for 40 years and just looking at the structure, it was very good. But I have a few little problems with the fencing that I need to have addressed. Other than that, we like our LGI community a lot. It's very well laid out, clean, cozy and very quiet. We were generally very happy and we'd recommend LGI highly.

We live in the area of LGI homes and the community is nice. But they really don’t offer any amenities in the community. All they have there is a playground and my kids are older. Nonetheless, we took a shot in the dark and purchased a newly built home from LGI. Brett was our consultant and he was awesome. He explained everything very well and he was very personable. We liked his honesty. I'm not very easy to trust people but eventually, I was very comfortable working with him.

The quality of the house is okay but we've had issues and we've only been in there three weeks. Some of them still haven't been fixed. Other than that, it's a lot more peaceful and quiet in our new home. I've recommended people to LGI. They were very upfront about everything and they worked well with us and tried to get us what we needed. And they didn’t try to upsell for something bigger than we needed.

We bought an LGI home and it was closer to work for both of us. We looked at an older home that was a little more expensive than the home we bought and we decided that if we could pay the same amount of money for a newer home, that would be a lot better. Manny was our LGI consultant and he was great. Whenever we had questions or we'd call him, he was very prompt in answering.

LGI homes are affordable. We are very happy and excited and feel very accomplished to have been able to buy a home and we're very grateful that we are in that position to do so. Hopefully, we'll be in here for a few years. Now, we have more peace of mind. It's our first home and it's really nice. It would have been nice too to have grass in the back of the house. So far, the community is good and it's quiet. We've met some of the neighbors and they seem very nice. I know LGI is still building homes and they're still selling homes so a lot of built homes on our side have not been filled yet.

Overall, everything was great. The timeliness was perfect. But my wife and I were a little disappointment on the closing date. I understood we signed a contract but we assumed that we would be closing sometime in March and our first payment would have been in May. But they had our closing date set for February 27th. We really loved the house and we wanted it. But we had difficulty with work scheduling and it was hard for us to do the closing on February 27th. But only two days later, we were both off. We didn’t have to take off for work or switch our schedule around and worry about how we were going to get our son. We were asking if LGI could move the closing two days later but they said no.

At some point it was like, "If you don’t want to close on that day, then we’ll just stop the deal and we'll move on." It didn’t make sense to me that they were willing to cut the deal and take our family out of a home just so they could sell it to someone else whenever they felt like it and then redo the whole 30-day process. If we were to ask for five days or ten days, then that would have been grounds to be told they didn't do that. But for two days, it would have been nothing especially if it was a scheduling conflict. In the end, my wife had to actually take off from work. Other than that, everything else was great.

The LGI reps were on point, very friendly and down to earth. they were willing to help and were very energetic. They were enthusiastic and they made the whole journey wonderful. I was very comfortable with them. Every question that I had, they walked me through it. They told me exactly what they could do and what they would try to help me with. They got back to me quickly on anything. Our consultant was Joe. He and my husband have a rivalry going on. I'm a sports-minded person and so is my husband so that made a comfortable conversation. We talked about the area and it was wonderful to at least have someone that was people-oriented.

The home is well-built. I've not had to turn my heat any higher than 68 and we've even had a wintry storm. The house is just insulated well so I'm happy. Our new home has been nothing but blessings. And in the LGI community, they have a good program in place with the Homeowners' Association so that it will not depreciate the properties. They will always make sure that it's going to be appreciated. LGI would be a place that I would go.

The LGI consultant ignored anything I asked him and they never responded back correspondence-wise. They just kept me in the dark most of the time through the whole process. They changed transition teams and there were totally different people. Also, the house is substandard. I’ve owned five other homes and this is not one of the better ones. I just had the internet people come out as it was supposed to have been pre-wired. It didn’t work through the walls, so they ended up drilling more holes. It’s supposed to have been inside the house and LGI put it in the garage. Even the fencing is not pre-coated and the wood wasn't treated.

LGI left so much trash in the yard that it’s crazy. They just covered it up with grass. LGI also said they were gonna replace the sidewalk. It’s been a month and they still haven’t responded back. There’s also been a couple of light fixtures that aren’t working and they haven't gotten anybody out here. The neighborhood’s fine and it was the only reason I got the house. But it's so far out of a lot of services that there’s a monopoly on the internet.

I didn't trust it at first and I disregarded the second mail. Then one day, I started looking into other companies and decided to try LGI Homes too. The sales consultant that worked with me was a great guy. He helped me a lot and he was very informative. He gave me updates every Friday with what was going on, which was great so I didn't have to worry. He also walked me through the buildings and showed me the plans. He was above everything.

But the sales consultants could be trained in giving some guidance to customers. For example, I needed to cancel early on my apartment and I asked for advice, but my sales consultant couldn't find much information for me. This was my first time buying a home and I came back with huge fines. They could have told me that they don't know anything about it, instead of telling me that they were going to consult with their manager. They took my copy of agreement twice but there were no results. Other than that, they were great.

Everybody in LGI Homes was very helpful. I applied to different companies before but with no luck and kept turning us down. But LGI was just exceptional in walking us through and they were not pushy to sell but they were guiding us to get in. I like the part that they coached me in how I can be a home owner. We are living in the house now and it has a nice back yard. I like the community but it's a very big area and there is only one park at one side of the street but I don't see any park on the other side. Other than that, everything looks good. The kids are having fun and it's been great. I recommend LGI Homes.

A good friend of mine is a construction manager with LGI and he was like, “Hey. This is the way to go. I wouldn’t lie to you.” I know him like a brother and I went to see what he had to offer. We went in on a weekend and spoke to Gabe. He was our sales consultant and he shared everything about the house and the location. They showed me everything about the foundation, the warranty that comes with it and the roofing. It was a learning experience for me of things I didn’t think of or realize before. And it would have brought things to my attention. And I was like, “Wow. Like I didn’t know that.”

And then we did like a pre-qualification or whatnot and filled out some paperwork. He run some numbers, “Hey. This is where you’re going to be." And then everything checked out. And then the next thing I know I was working with Marlyn trying to get a paperwork for the loan documents. Everybody was on the best to their business. If Marlyn couldn’t take the call we’ve always stayed in contact via email.

I now live in a pretty quiet neighborhood and that’s what we were looking for. And we're right next to the park for the kids. I just started getting back to work. I just moved in so I’m still in transition and trying to get things moved but for the most part I enjoy the community. The drive isn’t that bad at all. I love my house. Just maybe one day I’ll upgrade. I would recommend LGI Homes and talk about how these people help me out with my loan. They were the best. I’ve never had a problem and the neighborhood is awesome.

So I was kind of frustrated and I didn’t want to go through a process and I was skeptical, and that’s when my realtor told me about Ana Maria, that she's good and will tell me step by step. So, once I started with her, everything is kind of magical. She's excellent and tells me everything and everything works. She helped me.

Since it was going to be my first house, I wanted something new. I’m not familiar with the whole buying process. LGI Homes is genuine like they care about the person wanting to have their first home. I’m doing my in and out of the house and everything looks fine. I love the community so far. It’s just the place where it is, the distance from my work. It’s just kind of like apart from the hassle in Orlando. And I haven’t settled yet. I’m in and out and just today I put the power, and the water. So I’m still processing.

I told him to be forward about the pricing, what I would actually have to go through and the process, and that’s what he did. He was straightforward about everything and he didn’t try to candy coat anything. He told me, “This is what you’re looking at for monthly payments if you want this model. This is what’s going to happen if you get this model.” So, that’s the kind of person I need.

Finalizing everything took less than a month ‘cause we started the paperwork in beginning of February and it was closed the second to the last week of February. I saw some of LGI's properties online and I clicked a button that said I was interested in getting more information. Elder, the rep, reached out to me and he was awesome. He was the biggest help. He invited us to come in and he set us an appointment. We went to talk to him one Sunday and he let us know how possible it was to fulfill our dream of owning a home. We went in with the idea that credit is everything, but he let us know that that was not the case. As long as we qualified according to their guidelines, he said he was going to put us in a home and that's exactly what he did. He literally held our hands through the whole process even when we were freaking out. He was absolutely amazing. He was the best rep and I'd recommend anyone to him.

I love the home, but it became a little stressful when we were moving in because of the layout. With the stairs, when you enter immediately to your right when you first come in, we have a lot of king-sized furniture so that was a toughie. We also got a few nicks and dings in our brand new home which we didn’t want, but it's okay because it's ours. LGI Homes fulfilled our dreams. This was the first time me and my husband ever tried to purchase a home and it worked for us.

When I put up my ceiling fan the box was hanging out of the ceiling so I can see them rushing to turn that house over. Also the biggest thing that I'm upset about is the dining room area. The vent for the HVAC is in the location where the lights should be. So now I can't really get my table. The light and the vent should've been swapped. The light and the vent looks bad. It's just driving me crazy that I can't do anything about it.

But they made me really feel comfortable about the decision I was making. Fik of LGI Homes impressed me with his knowledge of the business and his willingness to work with the situation that I was in. But Fik was on top of it. My mother-in-law had an appointment with LGI Homes and she invited us to tag along. We went in on a Saturday about 4 o' clock. We met with our salesman, Fred, for the first time and he walked us through the entire neighborhood, showed us all the different houses and the different floor plans, and gave us brief pricing on each one. Then he sat us down, ran my father-in-law's credit and my husband's credit to figure out, more or less, which price range we would fit in. Then he started narrowing down the floor plans that we would be more than likely qualified for and he told us about how much we would have to put down. He was very knowledgeable. We would ask really random questions and he somehow knew the answers. And if he didn't know the answer, he would ask for a minute and find out the answer.

We liked everything that he was saying. We liked the homes, the area and the fact that they were new build. We went back in the following day, to sign all the paperwork, and we made a check deposit of $1,000. Then we got the checklist of what we needed to bring in when we met with David, from the loan department. We had an appointment four days later but I called that evening to see if we could get in the following day and they were very accommodating. We did everything within three days.

David was a great man. He held our hand and kept us in constant communication about what was going on with the loan and what would be the process. Then he would call if he needed any more paperwork and he was with us every step of the way. We really enjoyed that connection that he had with us. Since I got here, the quality of the home and the community have been great. We love where we're right now. It's great. Now, we have more space for the kids to run around and for the dogs in the backyard. It's cozy and the home makes us so much happier now. I would recommend people to go to the information center and get as much information as possible.

We showed up at LGI Homes and everybody there was nice, friendly and informative. They went over the process and explained everything, and then we filled out some paperwork. Then we went and looked at the houses, and we decided on which one we wanted. The one we went with was a new house, but they had it already built and they were selling it brand new. They have a good process at LGI. Our home consultant, Gabe, walked us through everything well and informed us of how to process our home purchase. Also, the lady rep, Marlene, was awesome and she helped us a lot through the whole process of doing the loan.

LGI made the process easy and it took four weeks from when we started working with them up to the time that we moved into our home. The quality of the build seems really good. The construction man walked us through the house and informed us of everything about it on our closing day. The new community home that we live in is really nice and I like it a lot. In addition, the amenities that LGI offers are great and I’m satisfied. Living in our new home makes our daily life a lot better. I’d tell people to go with LGI. They have good homes and they help you out a whole lot.

I liked the homes that LGI was building and I've heard really good information about them. One of my good friends bought a house from LGI and I'm at his house every Sunday so I've gotten a feel for it. The way he told me about the process, they made it so easy and everybody was so nice and courteous. There's also the warranty and the fact that the home is new and I don’t have to worry about certain things for a few years.

We walked into LGI not expecting anything, and we had Anthony and Cherry Anne who both did a great job. They walk you through and in doing the process, they'll call you and make sure that you're okay. Everything was perfect because it's my first time buying a home and they made the experience really good. LGI Homes has some good people working for them. I talked with a couple of my buddies at work who can't get a home, and I told them to be positive and go over to LGI, who will let them know whatever it is that they can do to help them through the process.

The quality of the build was done good. And the house is in a nice community. But there's grass in the backyard so I need to start clipping some grass in the backyard

My parents met with the LGI consultant that we worked with first and we stayed with him throughout the entire process. His name is Mark and he was very helpful with everything. He didn’t try to smooth talk anything. He just gave us the opportunity to browse and do what we wanted to do when it came to looking at the houses. And he gave us the information that we needed when we asked for it. We needed a little more communication to see where we were at on things to keep us updated, but he was great.

We just moved in this weekend, so there are some things that I am still waiting to have fixed. I have not received or have been contacted by anybody yet to set up times about when those things are going to be taken care of. There were some construction issues that we had some problems with at the very beginning. There is a large incline on the left side of the house and for whatever reason, whoever built the house decided that they were going to put the gate on that side. It’s a very steep incline and with all the new sod in there, of course it’s very unsteady. It’s very easy to slip down, roll an ankle or break a foot trying to get to the gate. Whereas opposed to the side of the building, we wanted to see if they could put the gate on that side because it’s a lot more even for safety purposes of children and if my older parents decide to come over.

There was also a hairline crack, which we talked to Mark about, on the driveway and they said that if it gets any larger, they’ll deal with it. Plus there were some issues with the sod that they put down. They don’t seem to even the ground out underneath it and that proves that the lawn is going to be very lumpy ones the grass goes in. And so it’s going to take a lot of work to even everything out then level out the whole yard. It’s just a matter of tilling the dirt a little bit underneath before the sod gets thrown on top of it, and no one has taken care of that.

There's also the issue of the electrical box being outside the house as opposed to maybe inside the garage, and we were told that there was a code for it. You physically have to go outside of your house, lock the door and then proceed to go out to your electrical box to change out any breakers or to flip any breakers in the event there’s something happening, and then walk all the way back around towards the front of the house and unlock the door to get back inside. So if it’s raining or snowing, I don’t know if I’m allowed to get into that box or not, or if I just wait it out until it slows down. It's just a matter of them building that electrical box inside the garage instead.

Living here at LGI has been good so far. It’s not a whole lot different than what I felt like it would, other than it being in a different location. I would tell others to look into LGI Homes and if it’s something that they want to really dig into, then they have to provide all the proper information and documentation. If they’re willing to go through that then go through the process, go ahead and do it.

We purchased with LGI and the experience was not bad but not so great. The sales rep was very uninformative. At one point we asked for the sq ft for each room and she told us they are hand built so they can change from house to house. Seeing as though each house is hand built we asked her to check but never got an answer. This was pretty much how the whole home purchase process went. Our sales rep never really kept us informed or had any answers. Each Thursday we were suppose to get an update on the house progress which pretty much only happened if we drove out and inquired ourselves or spoke to her boss. Then the call would be made usually at 8 pm at night.

The idea that they can build a 2 story home in 30-45 days as we were told seemed unreasonable. When we questioned this we were assured each time that it was the correct time frame. Yet our closing was pushed back 2 times and we finally closed 90 days from our initial date of beginning escrow. This date seemed much more reasonable and had this time frame been given we would of had a lot less "why isn't this done and when will it be done" questions. The home overall is wonderful you get your money's worth in value. We have had a few warranty repairs that needed to be finished from the initial build or issues that arose after we moved in but they are quickly addressed and taken care of. This we appreciate.

The only real downfall of our purchase that we til this day are very unhappy with as well as many of our neighbors is they given you DEAD GRASS. We were told many times is that due to the hurricane which occurred during our building process that their normal vendor was under water and therefore this was all they were able to get, but to rest assure it would turn green and be fine. We later found that all homes were given this DEAD GRASS long before the hurricane. The grass has turned green and from a distance it appears to be acceptable but once up close it's very sparse with just dirt locations.

I had a good experience with LGI and I'm enjoying my home right now. I was looking for a home back in December. I saw some free manual homes, so I called my real estate agent to follow me down there so we could check out some homes and that was when we saw there was a new construction that was really going on there. We decided to stop at the LGI office and then I talked to them.

The first guy that I dealt with was Archie, and he talked about the home, the area, the highway and all the businesses that were around, how close we were to the freeway, the proximity from here to the town and the shopping malls. He really gave us a detailed description about the whole area. When they told me what they were going to do, I expected them to do that because I hate disappointment. And they did good from the time the house was in construction and then they took me there. I chose the unit that I wanted based on what I was qualified for financially so I have to go with them to double check the house. We looked at it and the floor plan was good for me and it was exactly what I wanted.

They walked me through and the decided to close with me. But there was a little delay and that was on my part because my loan was having a lot of issues because I have changed jobs. I have multiple jobs that I do so they had to pull up the combinations of the jobs to make the income to their satisfaction. It was not even two years that I started the other job so it kind of pulled up a little bit behind for when I tried to pull out the paper works there. They were able to get everything straightened out eventually, but I lost the first home because there was a delay and they had to sell it to somebody else. I was a little bit disappointed but that was not their fault. It took them about 10 days to close me from the time they completed everything, which was a very good timing for me. I really appreciated it. They did a good job, especially the loan officer. And my realtor made sure that she was on top of everything, so it was a blessing.

The only issue that I had was that they don't have a doorbell, which really threw me off this morning because I wanted the alarm system that have the doorbell camera. So I had to get somebody who can do all that. LGI also said that they don’t do the garage opener. But I saw some homes where they came through the garage opener and with the remote. So I had to install those alarms by myself too. I also didn't like the appliances that they used and I actually just sold the fridge. It's too low quality, and if you have a beautiful house, you don't want to put that kind of appliances.

LGI didn't give us an option to choose whether we wanted a wood floor or a rough carpet. I told them that I wanted my house to have wood flooring but they said they only have the carpet. So I had to spend another $4,400 to change the floor to wood. I can't even put my furniture in the house right now and everything is still in the garage because I don’t want to set up everything until they call me back to take all the carpet. Other than that, I have a roof over my head and that's the most important. I'm trying to settle in right now because I moved in this weekend. But I love the home and the area. I will recommend it.

Ricki was the lady at the office and I was comfortable enough working with her. Travis was with the loan depot and he did the job. They had an answer for every question, so that was good. It was quick too. They would respond within the day. I just moved in and they have a park in the community. But there were some little things that I didn't like about the build of the house. The framing wasn't that straight. As soon as we started painting, I could see that some of the corners were crooked and then I may see some pieces of baseboard. Even one of the drywallers didn't do his job right. I could see big lines there in the texture and the work was a little sloppy. But the house is okay overall.

And by 30 days, we were moving in. Josh, the sales rep, was a great young man. He took care of all of our questions. He was very courteous, cordial and just very good all around. Stella also handled all the paperwork for applying for the loans and all else there. It's been a very pleasant experience overall.

It's a very new community. There's a little over a hundred houses sold at this point. So far, the amenities that they offer are good. But I'd like to see a clubhouse. The quality of the home is good too and everything seems to be functioning well. However, we've got a couple of minor things that need to be fixed that they've got to get the builder back out for. We've got some couple of window trim, the rubber part that seals that window and the glass, sticking out. They're supposed to have somebody over here to fix that and I'm sure they will.

Also, they had to really push for me on some items that I was left in the loop with them. They gave me some feedback which they could have done some specific items better, but it hasn't impacted me yet. If there's gonna be anything with a new build it's gonna be remaining. Charlotte was the saleslady that showed us the house. She treated me like one of her kids and she wasn’t pushy. When I was at my apartment I received a flyer that listed the housing and then after we got to LGI Homes we found that it wasn’t exactly what the flyer said. But it was still around the price range we’re already paying so it was okay. Even though the home consultants have to be professional they put on the persona that they kind of care. They figured it was our first time and they kept us guided through the process.

I know the manager over there. One individual we worked with was knowledgeable and every time we called about questions or issues they always at least attempted to try to give us the answers. During the process everything was great. They were always continuously in contact especially with the lender. But the issue kind of came afterwards. When I did the walkthrough with the builder, instead of allowing us time to actually inspect the home he kind of pushed us through it.

The house is beautiful and it's growing on me a little bit more now because I kind of expected more of a single separate home rather a townhome. But after moving in this weekend we started noticing issues. The upstairs is extremely warm where the downstairs is freezing. And we found out that they didn’t install the drafts that go into the door which stops the air from coming around the door. We found out that on the first night we moved in that it wasn’t there. So that’s what kind of caused a lot of the cold air rushing to the house. And we found cracks in our bathtub where I don’t know if one of the builders may have dropped something on there. They only give one free correction and so that's the issue. I now find ways to fix things myself without trying to use this warranty claim. And there were things that basically were right there but we didn’t really have time to fully inspect it during the process.

My wife continues to complain about the toilets that they installed and then the faucets and we have an extremely lower water pressure than what we’re used to from any of our houses growing up to. So I don’t know if it was just lower quality or anything like that. But as far as the other appliances like the microwave and stove and stuff like that, they were nice. And they already took care of my handrail. That’s what they pointed out during the walkthrough, kind of that we just have to paint that. And then there were some dents or certain portions that kind of like little scratches in the roof or wall in certain sections that we kind of just already went and got the touch of paint for. But it’s all been kind of minor stuff so it’s still okay.

Then on top of that the issue that I run into was the insurance company is continuously sending me letters that they didn’t receive the payment for the insurance. And we’re kind of just little worried about that, just wondering like, “Do we need to pay this insurance or if they actually paid it within the closing?” But I spoke with the lender and they just told us that they did pay it.

They’re still building. The location is so brand-new that is not on Google Maps and also GPS doesn’t take you straight to the location so you can’t have things delivered. It was rather a challenge to try to get actual physical directions to get to the location. But as far as the other residence we have talked to some of our neighbors and they seemed to be nice people. I know they really enjoyed their home. I’m already having ideas for modifications. And nobody is used to this HOA and don’t really know how that’s going to work right now. But I believe that it’s fine so far.

The people at LGI Homes were extremely nice especially like offering the drinks and different things like that. And the ability of streamlining the buying experience is way better. We always have the good credit that was waiting. And we always run into the housings that were under contracts so that bring us the issue why we haven’t bought before now. We’re just down to hoping that everything is fine with the house and are hoping that there’s no other unexpected surprises that we run into. We recommend LGI Homes.

The whole crew in LGI were very friendly and the home consultant was wonderful. I like them. But the built could have been a little better because there’s a bunch of mistakes. The quality of workers was not very professional. I’m a contractor and I know how to pour concrete and the way they finished the concrete, from 1 to 10, is like a 5 for me. But I understand. There are different contractors. The other thing I don’t like is my wife and I noticed that they planted a dead tree. It looked like it was lying on the floor for a long time and they planted it in my house. Also, there were not many blinds, no ceiling fans, and no gutters.

We have a five-bedroom house, two-car garage. We’re one of 12 of our floor plan in our entire community. It is absolutely amazing, and the neighborhood is great. The house is bigger than what we needed. We’re a family of four, so definitely we didn’t need it, but we’re going to use one room as an office and the other as a craft room. My dad and I were just looking along and LGI seems to be more affordable. They were able to help pay for the closing cost unlike other builders like Lena where you have to come up with your own money. Nick was really kind. He was willing to listen, very helpful, very detailed, gave us the information that we needed and he just made the sales a lot easier. I let him know exactly what I was looking for, specification and stuff that we really wanted. They have Amelia, Bokeelia, Estero and the Captiva and we went with the Bokeelia because it has the specification and stuff that we wanted. I did my research on what I wanted, so it was very easy for him to help us.

We purchased a new home in a new community and we closed about a month ago. The quality is nice. We had all the information that we needed and to successfully closing our home and we had a good experience. The only thing that we didn't like compared to Lena was that we had to put in our own blinds. I just thought it should have that already instead of having the home naked. Only one room has it - the den. It was kind of an inconvenience because if we have to move in, we had to go find blinds and the blinds are very expensive. If you spend so much money in a home, it should have come in and make the move in easy than having to put some more money to put blinds in. That should be the builder's duty. But the community is quiet and peaceful. And if we meet someone and say, “Hello”, we interact.

I like moving into a new home rather than having to move into a foreclosed home with someone already staying two or three owners. We just got it as us and it was built for us. We were the first owners so, I like that. And we're satisfied with the amenities. We have a pool, a park, a walk area, a doggie trail and they’re going to get more stuff they said. As the community continues to build, the customers’ satisfaction will continue to arise. But for right now, they have enough. Our new home will help to ease the burden instead of having to think of rent and stuff like that from an apartment, where it's all congested and your neighbor’s right next to you. You’re living at peace and comfort and quiet. It eases the burden of you coming home and having to hear noise upstairs. It's going to make my living a lot easier and happier.

Buying from these crooks was one of the biggest mistakes we've ever made. They reeled us in by being absolutely awesome during the buying process. They bent over backwards to help us get what we needed. However, things fell apart when it came to closing. Our paperwork got messed up (not LGI's fault) and our closing date got pushed back three weeks. It's good this happened because our house wasn't finished being built (like it didn't have carpet or internal doors)!! They were still doing last minute final touches while we were doing our pre-closing walkthrough! We also pointed out various issues during this walkthrough that took us months to get corrected.

They do everything they possibly can to weasel out of correcting warranty issues. Our vinyl floors kept bubbling and we were told it was normal. I submitted claims various times before someone finally came out to look at it. The flooring people stood me up twice before finally showing up. They took the floor up to find there was an AC vent that had been covered! They also told us our furnace warranty is now void because we put a smart thermostat on the wall. But they didn't tell us until the HVAC guy was writing us a bill for looking at the furnace. Really nice. Our most recent issue is dripping exhaust vents. They said it's normal for water to drip from the roof when there is snow sitting on the roof. We're still fighting with them on this one.

They also used the cheapest materials possible when building. Our drywall is already cracking, bathtub fixtures are leaking, and the porch is falling apart. We haven't even lived here a year yet. I wouldn't even give them one star if I had the option. LGI is a bunch of crooked thieves who builds crappy, cheap houses and charges through the nose for them. They need to be put out of business.

Otherwise, LGI Homes was good and they helped us. We like the house and we're satisfied with the quality. The community is good too. The location of LGI Homes' neighborhood and, for a busy family, the convenience of it being a one-stop shop led me to go with them. I purchased a pre-build new home a couple of weeks ago, and the rep we dealt with was friendly and good. If you go there, they will walk you through the process and show the home. The appraisal, the inspection, the financing, and the closing all happen right there. So far, the qaulity of the buld is good. They also have in the neighborhood a swimming pool, kids' playground, and a sidewalk. Over all, it is very efficient and easy.

I don't like the community either and although I like the house, they need to do more in their houses. With the price I paid, there is still too much that needs to be done in the house and I spend mornings for making it more beautiful.

I used to contract some work and found out about LGI Homes from there. They're the most affordable home builder for what you get and I purchased from them four weeks ago. Their sales rep was very nice and helpful. If I had any questions, I could always text him, any time of the night. He's a very good guy and he answered every question I asked.

I did a walkthrough. The house was pretty much built when I looked at it. And then once I decided I wanted it, it was a fit, I put a down payment on it to hold the house and get it off the market. I lived back in Georgia and this is down in Florida. I pretty much did the purchasing process online or over the phone until I actually had to come down to do the close.

Some things could have been done better with the house. LGI built it probably in 45 days. Even so, it looks nice and it has good quality. For the price it's a good home, definitely a good starter home. It's my first house. It's nice to actually put money into an investment an asset rather than trying to make rent. Moreover, the community looks nice. It's clean and brand new. The amenities offered are perfect.

I've talked with people and the LGI sales rep was not the greatest, but he was good and the buying process was quick. We got approved on the same day but it took longer to approve the loan, about three weeks. We made the purchase a month ago and it took us a week to get into the house. It was already built, but it was completely new and the quality of the build is at 90%. There were still a few things that they fixed after we moved in the house, like the cracked tiles. Those things aside, the house is amazing and everything is good.

I saw an LGI Home ad on Craigslist and I contacted their sales rep, Donne, and we made an appointment that following Sunday, which was the 7th of January. She told us that it's a lot cheaper to invest and buy and showed us the numbers if we continue renting and it made more sense. You just need the $1000 down and we could just remodel the home after we were approved. She showed us the three models and we ended up getting the maple, which is the one we're in now. It was almost finished when we purchased it. Throughout the process, we just talked to her once a week and she just gave us updates on where we're at with our loan application.

The application process went really smooth. We wanted to close as fast as possible so we made sure to get the documents that week. They emailed me every couple of days needing new documentation, but it really wasn't that much. They were really fast. So far, our street's filling up. There are so much chaos and construction going on right now. It's more convenient to own the house because you can do whatever you want with it. If we want to paint or put new floors in, we can. Everything right now is still under warranty and I had a few warranty claims, and the rep responded within 10 minutes. I've been trying to talk my sister-in-law into considering LGI Home because it's more affordable. Rent is so expensive nowadays, so buying is a better option.

LGI sent me a mailer at my apartment. At first, I didn't want to live in DeLand, but now I'm happy I'm there. However, I wasn't really happy with my interaction with their rep. She wanted me to put this house down and buy the house without even looking at a model home. She was not pushy, but there was not a whole lot of information either. She didn't want to drive over there with me which was just 10 minutes away. So, I went there by myself and looked at one unit that was almost finished.

That experience wasn't up to what I think it should be. They should go over there with you, take a walk through the whole house and talk to you for a while if they want you to buy a $167,000 house. I then got a new built house and it's very nice. I love the home and I love the area. The communication could be a bit better though during the process because getting a hold of somebody was tough. I would go back and forth by myself and take a look at the house as it was getting built. Otherwise, the house was built very well.

It was a little stressful at first because the bank is just asking for different items and such but overall, it was a great experience for me and my family. I'm still a little shocked but everything went smooth. The bank was in contact with me and my sales rep, Brett, was also in contact with me every step of the way and explained everything to me in detail. They made me feel comfortable and every time I was feeling down, they were just right there by my side.

It was a newly built home and we made the purchase about two weeks ago. The quality is good and the community is awesome. It's somewhere I’m happy to raise my family. I've been working on this for a while now, so I was going crazy and stressing out but now, it kind of calmed me down to know that my kids got a home that they can call theirs. I transferred out here for a job and we were kind of in a hurry to pick out a home. LGI Homes was the closest to my work and it was new construction. We had a short amount of time to come out here and fix something out so we did a lot of our communicating with their sales reps over e-mail and phone. We had to get all my finances set up and the house I purchased out here was contingent on the house I sold out in Georgia so once all that got together, everything fell into place. The loan department was really nice, straightforward, and had us going. Everything went smoothly once we got our house sold in Georgia and we were in and out and closing pretty quickly.

There are a few things that I think they shorted on with the build. There’s no doorbell and there are a few Sheetrock issues. You could just tell it was built rather fast. But other than that, I think it’s a well-built home. And I like the community right now. Where we’re at on our street, there’s a lot of new buildings so it’s kind of a busy area right there but I think once all those houses get built, it will be nice. If I had had more time, I probably would have picked somewhere else, but I had to do what I had to do.

The house my husband and I bought in Tavares from LGI Homes was already built. Many were sold already so we didn't have many choices when it came to customizing the house. It's a pretty house that was in our budget but I don’t like the cabinets. We may have to do some renovations to make it more homely, but I like it and I'm excited because we worked for so long for so many years and we always wanted to have our own house. We just came from Puerto Rico and in less than four months, we had an amazing opportunity to have a house so fast. It's been a great experience because we never had that opportunity in the island. Here, it was bliss.

Their sales representative was bilingual and could speak Spanish which helped us to communicate our questions in the whole program. He helped us purchase the house using Chenoa program, so we didn’t have to give a huge down payment, which saved us a lot of money. He was very approachable and very informed about the whole program as well. The LGI people gave us a tour the day we did the closing. They were really honest and professional. When it comes to location, it's perfect for us because we do on calls and it's pretty near to the hospital. And for the price, the house looks really good.

I was looking for something to rent. I wasn’t planning on buying a house because I had moved out of state to Washington. I saw an ad that said “Rent to own,” which got me to LGI Homes. Their reps were really good. When I was about to back out after the first house didn’t go through, I was thinking in my head that I was done with all the process. I didn’t want to pay any more money to my credit and didn't want to deal with all of that stuff. But David, my sales rep, encouraged me to go through with it, and I’m glad he did. I got into my house very recently. I was dealing with all the sales reps by the end of the term because I’ve been there so long trying to make this happen. David was the one that closed my house. Jermaine, David, and the sales manager, Zack, were all fantastic. LGI have such a great staff.

LGI got my credit score from a 540 all the way to a 696 in a month and a half of time. It wasn’t because the houses were not standing up to my standard, because the location was bad, or because I wanted to change my sales rep. It was literally because I had to get my stuff right, and LGI took their time to tell me what steps I needed to do in order to get there. At first, I got angry and then I called them back the next day and I thought I should let them know why I’m angry. They were fixing my credit for free. All I got to do is pay the payment. The steps that LGI took to build my credit were really great. And no other agents would have done that through other companies. The best experience was all my debts are paid off and in the end, I got a house out of it.

My new home is beautiful. It’s probably not my dream house, but it’s definitely my dream location because it’s secluded and quiet. I’ve only spent one week in there so far but it’s really nice. The house is done properly. Kevin, the builder, was awesome as well. He went through everything with me and let me know exactly how the house is. So the property is ideal for me. I like it a lot and my family is happy. If I would buy another house five years from now, I’d go back to LGI.

I would definitely recommend anybody who's buying a house, especially for the first time, to go with LGI. They take their time to do the steps to get the first-time home buyer in there. I was making the purchase while I was living in Colorado so I felt really sketchy about LGI at first. And then I went to the ConsumerAffairs website and I’ve seen how many reviews LGI had that were 5 stars. It was amazing and it gave me the comfort zone.

He did a great job in explaining the right things and provided advice on what would be the best way to close the house, by the credit, by the steps that you need to follow, the time that it will take and then visiting the homes. I was also able to ask any question that I wanted and he was able to answer all of them, and he followed up with me. I like my home and the quality-price relation is great. Moreover, the community is nicely developed. I love the neighborhood.

It’s my first time to buy a house so it’s been great for me. The space, having and building my own environment, being part of it, it’s been great. And compared to a lot of other people I spoke to, the process, which took about a month, was fast. I closed on my prebuilt home last week. And I love the quality of its build. I’m getting situated and getting familiar with what I want to do and to customize it. I’m still at the surreal point and trying to believe that I’m in it. I’m in an LGI Home Community and I like it. The only thing I don’t like is the subdivision next to it. LGI Homes has a great plan for first-time buyers. The whole process took only a month and it was quick and easy. There was a lot of information but they held our hands the whole process as far as getting the loan, making sure that we could do it financially and reassuring us that it would be okay. And even after buying, they're still there for us.

But in the beginning of the whole transaction, they made me feel like I wasn’t going to come back because the sales manager wanted to put a thousand down to hold the house. I can’t just be walking around places and give a thousand dollars that day and be 100%. He was like, “The house might not be here.” Which I understood, but I wanted time to think about it and talk about it with my girlfriend before going and giving that money right then and there. It kind of made feel like he cannot take my word for it and it pushed me away at the beginning but the opportunity was great for us. I didn’t like the sales manager and we kind of stayed away from each other and there were some of the realtors.

But Derek is amazing. He was there for me the whole way and so was Pam. And then the guy from loanDepot has been well and he helped us out getting the loan. That was all good. Also, the build is good and it feels reliable. The house feels like it will last for years. And there’s a pond as one of the amenities and I like fishing. So that’s been a good plan for me. Miscommunication happens to people but overall, I’m very satisfied and we’ve recommended a family friend already and they're trying to apply. We really wanted to get out of where we were staying. I was referred to a lady who happened to work with LGI Homes and she did all the paperwork. We went through other people before and they just dragged their feet at the realtors and at the loan people. But that lady got me approved immediately. Our sales rep was also good, just polite. We made our purchase the beginning of January and it was a prebuilt home. The buying process included having all the paperwork, like the basic loan papers, to get the loan approved. The process took three weeks.

I spent $400,000 in this home and we've been having problems. LGI was not really responsive and we had to call them out three times already to fix a couple of things. One of the windows was cracked and it took them a couple of weeks to get out there. I was kind of angry at how they were going about it. My wife is a stay-at-home mom with a two-year-old so they have things they have to do. We were told that the repair people were going to be there at a certain time but they never called nor showed up. We had to text them numerous times over the three-week period to come and fix the things that needed to be fixed.

They kept saying they would be there at a certain time but they never did. When they finally showed up, it wasn’t at the time they said they were going to be there. There are some things still wrong with the house and we are still waiting for LGI to come and fix them. Also, we went to see how the things were put together and who the people were that put them together. I got to watch them at work because I'm a construction worker myself and I take pride in what I do. I didn’t see the workers take pride in what they did. I saw them just throwing things together. They were the same people that built my house so that left me thinking about what kind of shortcut they took and how badly they threw things together at my house. We've seen a lot of things wrong with our house and there might be things that I can fix myself. But if I have to do it, that’s time and money out of my pocket.

LGI Home was out in Brookshire and I was going to head out in that direction. I ended up purchasing a home from them about a week ago and they were all very nice. But they didn’t have much power over changing something in the home before I bought it and I almost didn’t buy from them because it felt like they were not working with me and were just trying to sell a house. Their overall purchasing process was very simple, though. I walked in and talked to them in the office. Then they told me about the company, took me to see the model home, and started working on my loan immediately. The whole process took three weeks.

This is my first home and it's a very nice little house. There aren't very many people in the community yet, but I've met three of my neighbors and they're all pretty nice people. I intend to build up my house and sell it in a matter of 10 years. A lot of it is good quality, but the appliances, light fixtures, as well as tub and bath, are all really raw. It has bare-minimum stuff which is pretty much like buying a shell and you got to do with it what you want. So I would recommend LGI but it would depend on how much money you have to spend on the home.

Other than that, LGI should put grass in the backyards because there's just dirt there and no sod. Also, every now and then, the plumbers are working in other houses and they're tearing up my front yard while they're doing it. It's all fresh grass there and so far, two people have rolled over my front yard and made four-inch ditches with their tires. In the main drain, they’ve dug up three times and there's a pile of mud in front of my house. The yard is pretty much a catastrophe but there's nothing I can do, so I've just been relaxed about it.

I chose LGI Homes mainly because I couldn’t take my time and I found this fairly fast. But I stuck with them because of the customer service of Nikki, the new home specialist. When I came here to see the house for the first time, she let me take my time, even showed me another model because I was having second thoughts. Any e-mail was answered in a timely manner and she was very open to texting. Any concern I had and any report I gave to her, she forwarded it to the responsible person such as the builder or the constructor the product manage. She was just fantastic all the way, very responsive, and helpful. I just had to put a deposit down and I brought in my own HVAC inspector. They gave them the keys and let them go. And whatever the reports said needs taken care of, they took care of it.

The worst part of the process was that their preferred lenders were not the best. The first one wouldn’t return e-mails so they got me a second one. The second one, after working with me for 16 days, said they were not gonna be able to close my loan until I complete my work physical. They acted like people that they got so much business from LGI that customer service wasn't their priority and they wanted to make sure they took zero risk. They wouldn't come through for me. I'm moving across two states. I want to have the home now so I can get in, get my washer and dryer, all those things. It’s not like I’m doing a physical for the Olympic swim team. It’s just a hospital. So, I got another lender that was going to close faster based on all the information they had and was willing to take a half percent risk that I was gonna pass this physical and just become an employee. But other than that, it’s a quality home at a fair price and it's a beautiful community.

I closed on my pre-built LGI home on the 22nd of January. The loan officer went through everything and explained how it was done and what I needed to do. Their sales rep was fine as well. I wanted to include some vents in the house, a ceiling fan and some grass in the back. But he explained to me that if all of those things were included, it would increase the total cost of the building which made of a lot sense. What LGI did was put most of the necessary stuff that I would need. And if I need anything extra, it would be up to me. The sales rep also made me aware that the house is not just an expense but an investment. He educated me a lot into buying a house.

The neighborhood is impressive too. It's quiet and peaceful when I come back from work. They’ve also invested a lot of money creating a neighborhood park which is highly beneficial. I've spoken to a few neighbors and they all like it. Overall, LGI Homes gave me all the best I could get out of the price. I've been telling good things about LGI Homes but hopefully, they'd see it from my own perspective.

LGI Homes was easy to work with. I tried so many other places before, but they always wanted a lot of credits and all that stuff. They were horrible. I went through LGI and it was easy to get in. I got the house that I wanted. I had to go to their office because my phone wouldn’t work pretty good here, and the reps were nice. There were some other rules they had to do before I got the house, but I understood. So far, we’re doing good. I can recommend them to some of my friends.

We purchased a brand new home seven days ago from LGI Homes. We are the first residents, but it was already pre-built. The sales representative Anthony was awesome and he was like my friend. The process was simple and easy. We went down there to have the interview for two hours, which was just like talking to them and filling out an application, and they asked about my work experience. Then we left to look at some houses, liked the one that we saw and we went ahead and put money down on the house right then. It was about three and a half hours from when we got there and left. We were already locked in and we were good to go. We closed 30 days later with no problems at all. They explained everything and it was all pretty simple to understand.

The quality looks good. I don't see any corners or anything that they cut. I do know that our turnover house is really fast, which makes me and other people nervous as far as them breaking ground and then they installed them in three months. It seemed quick because you don't know what kind of errors there might be, but, so far, from what I've come across, what I've seen and head from other neighbors with LGI Home, they don't have anything to complain about. Living here feels great because we were in a hotel from the storm for the last four months, so this was like a big stepping stone.

We have three small kids so it was good for them as well. We noticed a big change in them too right away as far as them even wanting to get up and go to school. We have three bedrooms and two baths. It has carpet and some linoleum kind of wooden floors. It also has two car garage, a decent lot and nice plants and new appliances. It is all black and it looks good. Friends love the house. They can't believe we got a good deal like we did. I'd refer anybody there and I've done that several times already. We referred a friend of the family and she is already in a house herself too. We are all ecstatic about it.

LGI Homes is a good home builder. I was interested in buying a home in a certain subdivision, and they happened to be the builder. Their sales representative was very friendly and helpful, and his follow-up was quick. They prequalified me on day one. We came back and filled out a credit app and brought all four documents about a week later. Then we closed on a prebuilt new home three weeks after that. We bought all of our previous homes from other homeowners. So, we liked the idea of buying a new home. We're in the process of making some alterations as far as paint colors, so we have not moved in yet. The community is a nice and clean subdivision.

One of my friends who lives in the area told me about LGI. I liked the area the dealer is located because I want to be near some people I knew from back home. The community is very friendly and community living was one of the main selling points. When I went in, the LGI reps were always pleasant, really helpful, and very knowledgeable about their product. I ended up getting a prebuilt new home and the buying process was a pretty much seamless thing, it wasn’t too drawn out. I sent all the paperwork that they requested and the process wasn’t really hard.

I moved into the house and although I'm used to a little bit of a different standard because I came from out of state, the quality of the house is fine based on Georgia standard. The only thing was they have garages but they don’t offer a garage opener. I've never seen that before. I had to do everything and had to have it installed. Other than that, I'm actually happier with my home now than my other home. This neighborhood is a lot more active than the other neighborhood that I was in so I enjoy it a lot better. And I would tell other people about LGI because of their staff who go above and beyond.

LGI Homes gave us a deal that we couldn’t find anywhere else. We also like the location of their homes. We met with their salesperson, Adam, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience from him. He was very helpful and was a perfect fit for me and my wife. We don’t like to be pushed, and he wasn’t pushy. He was very informative and he cared more about doing what was right for us than what was right for him.

LGI has a model home set up in the community where they run their business. We went in and they let us look at several different models that they had built. And then after that, we looked at the different options from the different models that we looked at, the prices that they would be, and figured out what would work with our budget and which one we liked. Before we agreed to close there, we went to the local credit union to see if they could beat the rate because we'd be damned not to shop around for the best rate. The credit union was not able to match what they were offering with their in-house financing.

We bought a prebuilt new home and it was in the process of being built when we chose it. Then we closed on it when it was fixed. The build seemed adequate overall. It's exactly what I expected. They're putting these houses up so quickly so I don’t expect it to be like a custom-built home. But I am pleased with it. We're in the process of moving in and from what we've seen so far, the community seems great. It's diverse and safe.

A friend of mine introduced me to LGI Homes. Communicating with the sales rep at LGI was perfect. I am most impressed by the way he explained everything and went about the whole thing. It was right on point, precise. He answered all the questions I had. At a point it was too much information at a time but when I let him know he kind of slowed down and toned everything down. I closed the deal on the 31st. So far, it's a quiet community and the environment is friendly. I want to believe it's safe too. It’s close to the proximity to school, amenities, and a lot of those stuff. We have a walk path straight into a school that’s right beside the community, the playground. Also, the proximity from my home now to where I work is 10 minutes. It used to be 25 minutes.
