My 2 test old range has marks on the glass surface that can't be cleaned. It looks terrible and the Lg customer service is very poor, even worse than their product quality. These marks make the stove look filthy and seem to be coming from under the glass. Customer service said to clean it but it's not possible. Every use seems to make it worse. Not covered under warranty or the extended warranty. They don't stand behind their products. I will never buy another LG product again!

I am having a house built. It was just completed - except for the range. Because of delays in getting appliances I ordered my entire appliance package in September 2022. It included an LG range. The appliances were delivered in November 2022. Since my house wasn't ready to have appliances installed the appliances were delivered to my builder's warehouse - a fairly standard practice for new construction. The home was ready for appliances in late January. My builder brought the appliances to my home to install them. Upon opening the LG range box (the box was in perfect shape) we noticed a very large dent in the side of the range. After pulling some of the cardboard corner protectors off we saw more damage behind them. Since the box was in perfect condition it was obvious that LG packaged a damaged range to send out as new, undamaged.
I called Home Depot to let them know. Home Depot told me I had 48 hours after to report any damage so they wouldn't do anything. Next, I called LG. I was on the phone with them for about 2 hours, taking multiple pictures of the box, the damage, the model/serial number, etc, and texting them to LG's information line. LG said that they'd get back to me within 72 hours. The next day I get a text message from LG stating that they don't warranty shipping damage. But, based on the perfect condition box, it was obvious that a large dent in the side of the range, as well as other damage, was not from shipping. And proof of that (pictures of the box) was sent to LG.
I called LG again (even more time talking to LG). They told me to have Home Depot call the LG Dealer Representative. The manager at the Home Depot where I bought the range was nice enough to call LG. LG said that they'd repair the damage, but won't replace the range. TWO AND ONE HALF MONTHS have gone by and an LG tech has been out to repair the range SIX times. The range is still not repaired. Every time the tech came out, the parts from LG to repair the range were damaged. LG ships damaged ranges and damaged repair parts. I have been without a range for 2 1/2 months and LG simply doesn't care.
Today I was on the phone with multiple people at LG for two hours, total. LG keeps saying that they are "escalating" my case but they never do anything about it. It's looking like LG's job is to wear people out until they quit trying. LG still refuses to replace the range or give me a refund after 2 1/2 MONTHS of trying to repair it. It's starting to look like I will have to throw my new LG range away, be out the money that I paid for the range, and buy a different brand from a reputable company, NOT FROM LG.

I had purchased an LG range a few years back and made formal complaint to LG about my kitchen catching fire due to the knobs which are beyond dangerous. If anyone walks by and happens to even lightly glides on it the element immediately turns on. A paper towel roll was In close range an and been sitting on the edge of the burner when it lit and spread quick! I acted fast, but so grateful I was I the next room to see it happen. We had some serious fire and smoke damage ensue. Since then, and not getting a response, I have just remove the knobs entirely as I’ve lived petrified to have it happen again. This product is absolute garbage! Do yourself a favour and avoid LG altogether as the other front burner from has not worked for us and at all, and given mostly that no one has even bothered to respond to my concerns. Bad bad company.

I had a Kitchenaid glass-topped range for 16 years and never had this problem. I've had my LG range for four years and while recently cleaning off burnt liquid from the glass top cracked it cracked. I was shocked. I am not THAT strong. I believe that this is a safety issue and reported this to the BBB (without success). I would like to know how many glass top ranges have cracked due to cleaning. And I strongly believe that there should be some governmental safety considerations made.

My LG air fryer range is less than 1 yr old. All of the numbering on the face of the range is wearing off. I no longer know what settings and which burner (large med small) I am turning on. This is not covered under the LG warranty. Even though it is an entire part that needs to be replaced to fix the poor quality of the face. I take pride in the appearance of my home. My range now looks terrible and is a safety issue. LG warranty manager Ismayla, refuses to cover this issue. He wants me to pay $279.00 to have this entire part replaced, as he insists it is a cosmetic issue and not the company's problem. The stove cost me $1479.00 which included a warranty. That they will not honour. I will never buy LG products again.

We bought a suite of LG appliances from Costco in 2016. The compressor went out on the refrigerator and just out of warranty and LG refused to cover our food loss when it was a known issue/recall. The electric range (LRE4213ST) is even more disappointing and has malfunctioned twice. Just out of warranty at 3 years of ownership, we had to replace the oven heating element. Now, 6 years in, the burners stopped working. We have invested hundreds of dollars in repair fees to keep this range running. What a complete disappointment. I do not recommend LG appliances.

I bought my LG Electric range just over a year ago. We knew the front knobs were very sensitive but didn't realize how bad until it my husband was cleaning the kitchen, set the Ninja on the stovetop while cleaning the island. Seems he leaned against the knobs and 2 turned on. He went out to empty the trash and by the time he got back in, we had fire. Both Ninja and Range were burned beyond repair. Our new backsplash will have to be repaired. We'll need to repaint some. But no one was hurt. No pets hurt. I immediately, naively wrote to the "President" of LG. Nothing. Tried again a couple days later. I did receive a phone call from a Sheena Turner in Alabama with the title of President Liaison/Voice of Customer. She said she could send someone out but needed the serial #. There's NO SERIAL NUMBER on the range. Isn't that convenient?
Both my husband and I have gone over the range several times. I've taken pictures and sent to her to prove there's no serial number. That's when she stopped communicating. So, oh well. She can't help. So like the rest of their customers with this problem, I'm just screwed and they don't care. Then I visited Consumer Affairs to see if we were the only ones with this problem. Apparently allot of us have the same problem. So I sat down, copied and pasted to Word every review that pertained to the knobs, back 4 years, 52 bad/frustrated reviews. I've printed out and will write a letter to Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy and The Consumer Product Safety Commission with copies of the 16 pages of reviews I have. This will be sent USPS certified mail to each with return receipt to make sure each received.
I want to be sure each of the retail stores know they are selling dangerous products and the CPSC surely needs to take a look at this. Maybe nothing will come of it, but these stores need to be put on notice and when something bad does finally happen and sadly it will. contact me. I'll have proof they were notified. For me, I'm tossing the range. I won't have it in my house and it's damaged anyway. My last email to Ms. Sheena (she hasn't returned an email since I told her I can't find a serial number on my range). "How are you going to feel when someone dies in a fire caused by an LG range. You work for this company. Are you going to be able to look yourself in the mirror?" No response. Here are pictures of my Ninja and Range after the fire.

I just bought my Double Electric Convection Oven range in late December 2021. The flat-top keeps on getting damaged after I use it. I had it replaced once and when it happened with the second top, I called LG and they said all they can do is replace the flat top again. I have had a flat top for many years and know what to do as far as pans, and not sliding the cookware, etc. The customer service representative kept on stating it was my fault and it was scratched. It wasn't scratched because I didn't do anything wrong with the pans. They told me at customer service all they could do was replace it again. I think that there is a defect with the flat tops because my old flat top didn't do what these flat tops are doing. I am upset with the product because I thought I finally got a convection oven that would cook right and it doesn't.

Purchased a Flat top Range and received it TODAY. Oven works, no instructions for menu settings, cooktop doesn't work, called appliance store and they instructed me to call LG. LG says 2 1/2 weeks for a technician to come out. Have to wait 2 weeks for them to tell me my new $2000 stove is junk and I got to get it swapped out. Then I'll have to wait a week for that one and around we go. Should have stuck with my gut and went with a reputable appliance manufacturer not a ** cell phone maker. I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range for my new home that I moved in to in 2019. Close to 5000$. Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturer's defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, "Nope it's out of warranty." Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. I was so proud at how all three units looked in my kitchen and people were impressed with the look of them. Shame on you LG for selling expensive crap!! And then refusing to take care of your customers.

I purchased a LG 6.3 cu. ft. slide-In ELECTRIC Range with ProBake Convection and EasyClean from Costco in 2018 for around $1300. I don't use the range a lot (maybe 8-10 times a month). During the warranty period, 2 burners were not heating properly and the oven was always between 50-75 degrees under where is was set. Under the warranty the 2 burners were replaced, but the technician was not able to figure out why the oven was not heating properly. We tried adjusting the temperate settings using the oven's setting feature with no real results.
The month following the end extended warranty, I used the self-cleaning function on the oven which blew the thermal fuse. This was a $300 repair for parts and service call. Last night, the oven just quit working 10 minutes in to cooking a $170 prime rib roast for Christmas dinner after the temperature was turned up to 475 degrees. I might guess it is the thermal fuse again. Yes, the oven is now 4 years old, but it has never functioned properly since the day I purchased it, and it has gotten very little use. I would expect so much more from an $1800 appliance!

Purchased a new LG Wall Oven (Model #LWS3063ST) from Lowe's a few years ago, which had received very little use when it stopped working entirely. Called LG, but they said because it was over 1 year old, they wouldn't do anything. However, the repairman discovered a burned electrical wire in the unit's factor control panel, a clear indication of a manufacturing fault that could have started a fire and burned our house down! I wrote the president's office of LG and sent pictures of the burned connection. They promised to reimburse our repair cost. Then, inexplicably, the lady says she no longer works in that office and now LG had not only refused to reimbursed us, they will not respond to us. Terrible, terrible service, and very questionable safety issues in their products. I would NEVER buy or recommend LG to anyone.

It worked great for approximately 3 years & then the heating would not work properly, I have to set the heating at 425 to reach 350 temperature. Of course at this point it is out of warranty. I’ve had a LG service repair man out to fix & he could not figure out what it could be. I paid for his service & it actually worked properly for about 2 weeks then back to low heat. My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package in April 2016 after I did careful research on the products that were available at the time. We got a fridge, microwave and gas range. The first problem that we had was our fridge. The compressor went out about three years in which LG fixed. Next up, about a year ago, our ice maker just stopped working. Around that same time, I heard a very loud pop in our microwave and that stopped working.
I had a tech come out to take a look and it was the entire control panel which was nearly the same amount the microwave cost in order to fix it which we ended doing. I didn't want to get another brand because this microwave has a special vent that goes above my range. The tech also looked at the refrigerator ice maker and mentioned that we may need to replace the door which is a common problem apparently. Unfortunately that is too pricey for the time being so now I have no icemaker.
Until yesterday, I've been happy with my LG Gas Range... I started getting an F9 error which means the oven isn't heating correctly. Tonight I was making dinner and the oven turned on as usual and said it was preheated. I started cooking and opened the oven to check my food. Low and behold, the oven is barely hot. I check the oven temp and it's 205 even though the temp says 400. Sounds like another problem that is going to cost me hundreds of dollars to repair.
I've only had this appliance package for 5 years. It is so disappointing to have a problem with everything I've purchased from LG. I've been making sure to tell all of my friends and family to avoid LG because of all the problems I've had. The only appliance I have in my kitchen that hasn't had any issues is my dishwasher but that's a Bosch. I'm glad I didn't get one from LG. Although the LG appliance look beautiful, please avoid them because right now I'm trying to plan meals without the use of my oven until I can get it fixed. What a disappointment.

We bought the LDE4413ST and it was installed late December 2020. Since then, we’ve had 2 fires on the cooktop. The knobs on the front are way too sensitive and turn to high with just brushing against them. A pizza box that was sitting on the stove burned up when a knob was inadvertently touched and today a microwave cover was burned up when it was placed on the stove after retrieving food from the microwave and a knob was brushed as we opened the microwave. I am removing the knobs and have told everyone not to place anything on the stove. One of the burners is now ruined from the melted plastic.

I purchased this as part of a set in 2017. It's a black stainless steel gas convection range. My initial thoughts were that the control panel is extremely hard to push. They failed to put glass behind this so I have to push hard to get it to register. This is very annoying however it does work. Lately though, it has developed a new problem. The oven beeps saying it reached temp I put my food in. When I pull it out after the timer goes off, the food is cold! The oven fails to maintain temp. A 4 year old oven that is lightly used should not be having this issue! I have owned cheaper ranges and have never had issues like this, not even after 10 years or more. I am very disappointed with LG line of products.

First time buyer - Purchased brand new suite of Lg appliances. Front burner dials on stovetop are a huge fire hazard. Our dog apparently was trying to get to something that was on the stovetop and was able to turn a burner on. Our whole house was filled with thick smoke and soot and almost went up in flames. Luckily we arrived home when we did - to save the dog and before it took the whole house up. Brand new stove top cracked and ruined and a whole house of ash to scrub - including all my brand new white cabinets from my kitchen remodel. Then, as I was leaning over the stove to wipe off the under cabinets my hip turned a burner on. These burners dials are a major fire hazard.

2. Extremely difficult to keep it clean. It does not clean up well even though people say it does. Even after wiping the surface clean it still has marks or rings on it.
3. When we cook food in the oven it does not cook evenly. When we make a pizza it looks done. When we take it out and begin eating it I discover parts of the pizza that are still cold. It's very odd. The edges can look crispy but parts are still uncooked.
4. Sometimes NEW does not mean better. The old style gas ranges are so much better than these new style appliances.
5. Numbers on the dials are very difficult to read. Depending on the light in your kitchen you may have trouble even reading whether you have your dial set on 3 or 8, etc. The light gray print on the knobs is not contrasting enough to be easy to see. Again, an old fashioned white dial with black letters is a win win in my book.
Advice - DO NOT BUY THIS or any LG appliance - we have the microwave and the refrigerator too and don't like those either.

Loved the look of this range but told salesman I wanted self clean. He said "look it has Easy Clean". Not the same I found out 2 months later. Also my service book states I get grill pan for top of stove and small cleaning kit which I found out months later and was told not for my model... But the worst is my oven is chipping enamel - golf ball size chip. Also told not under warranty. This is a defect not warranty problem. So now it’s my problem to replace this part on bottom of oven. Is about $180.00 and grill pan is about 60.00 plus cleaning kit about $10.00 so I need to spend about 250.00 to get my range back to new. Remember this range is only 18 months old... My husband wanted a GE but I like how this looked. Wished I listened but won’t have this range long at this rate because it’s hard to get parts from overseas and customer service sucks and so does the company. Be WARNED!!!!!

Words can not describe the joy I have when I use and even more appropriately when I clean up after my husband cooks. I never liked or would even consider electric cooking before, but this is an absolute dream. A pot boils over? No problem. Use a rag and wipe it up even when the pot is still cooking, it lowers the heat the minute you turn down the temperature and if you pick up the pan and walk away, the burner shuts itself off. I have considered an electric oven before but with the convection and induction features, I feel like I have died and gone to the great kitchen in the sky. I know that sounds a little extreme but after dealing with a messy stove top & an oven that I have to get down on my hands & knees to clean, this is really a God-send.
I also got a great deal on my appliance from eBay. Even had a manufacture's warranty. LG has been our go to brand for T.V.'s, fridge and now my kitchen. The only draw back is trying to find pans that don't cost a fortune and are of good quality, also someone that can tell me why my cast iron griddle cracked in half when I tried to heat it up to cook a steak. Not a major problem. Just would like some answers.

This range has performed usually well. However, the burners on the stove don't really heat up to fit the pot that one would cook with. Meaning, that when you turn the burner on to fit a small pot, it still heats way above the pot's diameter. The range stove top glass cracked early on. The other problem is that the stove had to be serviced to adjust the oven temperature and to have a new seal put on the oven door. It looks great and does the job, but I can't understand how the glass on the stove top cracked.

This stove has so many different and extra things it can do that it is a great product. It being a flat top, it is easy to clean and keep clean. The burners have very fast heating elements that heat very quickly and there is even a warming burner. They cool off relatively quick also. The oven has several different functions as far as not being just a regular oven, has auto conversion and proof and several other settings besides just bake. The light turns off when you open or close the door which is great because it is never left on by accident. The oven is so very easy to keep clean, the dripped food cleans off extremely easy.

We purchased all new LG appliances for our kitchen 3 years ago. The stove is terrible to say the least. You can brush up against the knobs and turn the burners on. My 6 year old daughter has walked by and bumped the knob with her shoulder and turned the gas on and it was on for I don’t know how long. This is extremely dangerous. Also, I can’t even use the bottom oven because flames shoot out the back and burns my food. I bought this double oven because I bake a lot and it has made baking so much more difficult. I can not believe these stoves have not been recalled due to fire danger.

LG smooth cooktop is kind of hard to keep clean looking. The mist self clean oven doesn't really work as it should. You aren't supposed to use harsh chemicals in the oven. Just just with water and turn in the oven clean mode. It doesn't do anything much to remove baked on food. Other than that, the quick boil mode is great and it heats pretty evenly.

I have purchased several LG kitchen appliances. The overall quality is good, lots of convenience features and pleasant appearance. When they are working they are great. However if you ever need LG repair service have patience. They are the worst for scheduling your service and even worst still to actually get a technician to your appliance. This means that you are without the use of your appliance for up to 90 days or longer. Also the appliances are expensive and the warranty is only 1 year, which is standard and really burns me. When you spend nearly $2000 for an electric stove and the manufacturer only puts a 1 year warranty on it, that says something about how it was made and the level of confidence the manufacturer has in their product. I prefer American made products but sadly there aren’t many major appliances that are American made anymore.

Updated on 5/17/2021: My previous review (Feb 2021) stated 3 repairs within 3 years. My gas oven (LRG 3193ST) will not maintain temperature. Taking 90-100 minutes to cook a pie (45 mins). We had a new oven replaced by Best Buy within 1 month of purchase (August purchase, November install 2017) because the display would not work when installed. We have had the ignitor replaced 2 times in the last 2 years (July 2020, Feb 2021) at our expense because they stated our warranty was expired when contacted first time.
I received a call after my previous review (2/2021). The gentleman stated he would work with us either on replace or money back. But when I stated it was currently working due to repair the previous week, I was told he was unable to help us. The oven no longer maintains heat AGAIN only 3 months after repair. I tried to contact LG via phone and a recording state they were overwhelmed with calls to try again at another time. I tried a private message with no response. I AM A FRUSTRATED AND UNHAPPY CUSTOMER.
Original review: We purchased a complete LG kitchen package August 2017. They were installed in November 2017 when kitchen was finished being remodeled. When turning on the oven the burners would work, but oven would not turn on. They stated it was the circuit board and a brand new oven was brought in and installed. In July 2020 the oven would not maintain temperature, at times not even turning on. Since it was not covered under warranty, we called a repair company to come in.
They replaced the igniter. Starting in January we had the issue again. The oven would get up to heat then turn off leaving food completely uncooked. It would occasionally heat up and maintain the temperature but became so unreliable we rarely used it. Yesterday, February 2, I tried to cook dinner, the oven went up to temperature and then cooled down immediately. I turned off and tried again, the oven refused to heat at all. We now have another repair service call. It is getting expensive and the oven is so unreliable that I would not recommend an LG gas stove/oven.

I purchased my LG oven range combo when I remodeled my kitchen in 2017. I chose this product because it had the convection as well as standard oven option and flat glass top burners. I need all the prep space I can find in a tiny floor plan - so the flat top was essential. I would say the burners all work equally well and the quick boil feature is something I use often. The warming center might be the only feature I really don't use. As for the oven, I have had convection in the past & was excited to have that option in this. This oven tends to run a little high in temperature in both the convection and the standard. 3 years later I am still tweaking my recipes and cook times to ensure the right balance of time and temperature. The features are great to have but the calibration seems a little off. That's why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5.

We have a 5 year old LG oven that began experiencing issues with the cooktop 1-2 months ago. The burners will work, but only rarely. They will turn on and heat for maybe 5 seconds and then turn off. Sometimes they will work for a few minutes, and then turn off. Never on long enough to cook a meal, or if you are in the middle of cooking it will power down to barely on and you are stuck. The front larger burners work way less than the rear burners, and the left burners are way more problematic than the right. There is a heat vent to release excess heat from the oven and glass cooktop located under the control panel on the left hand side that is frying the computer components in the control panel causing malfunction. This is a known design and engineering issue.
I have tried calling LG, and they tell me there is nothing they can do. I tried communicating with them on Facebook and they tell me there is nothing they can do. There are many people documenting the same issue on places like Youtube and even here. Everyone one of them, right around the five year mark this starts happening to them. There are many replies from people saying LG did the right thing and fixed this for them. New computers. New control panels. The entire back replaced. Nothing for me. Super disappointed that our $900+ oven only lasted 5 years before it's going to need a repair call and expense for me.
We replaced our entire kitchen with Consumer Reports top-rated LG appliances five years ago. The dishwasher is already gone; too expensive to repair that compared to the cost of a new model. Still have microwave, and refrigerator. Oven is failing as mentioned. We also have two 65" LG TVs and an LG washer in our house. Doesn't matter how long we have been a customer, LG is making this difficult.

I am writing to complain about the product quality of our appliances. We have had all of our appliances for less than 2 years (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave) and in those 2 years we have had 3 significant issues. The dishwasher was repaired a few months ago because of a major mechanical problem causing the buttons to glitch. Our oven reeks like gasoline every time it is turned on (service request entered to be told it is out of warranty. Cannot be fixed without a $125 fee) And most recently - our brand new microwave just STOPPED working today out of nowhere. It won’t power on even though there is power to the outlet. I was told we had to pay for a service request with no guarantee on product replacement and out of pocket cost. We can’t do that again, and will be forced to buy a new microwave (not LG).
The quality of our appliances is completely unacceptable. We bought new appliances and were excited to have them as part of our first home, and their quality and function have been extremely disappointing and unreliable. There is absolutely zero reason why an appliance that costs thousands of dollars should fail like these have. To add, the warranty is outdated and a sham. To give people a year warranty on crappy devices is unfair and not right. They break right outside of the warranty, forcing customers to spend hundreds on parts and labor to repairmen. I will never ever buy another LG product and will make sure I tell my friends and family the same.

I bought this LG Gas range in 2018 as part of an appliance package. We already had problems with the oven control knob breaking off. The main issue is that the gas oven temperature control has failed - it overheats by more than 100 degrees of the setting. The thermostat sensor has been replaced - did not fix the issue. Next is to replace the main control board for the range - however the one fitted to the range is ‘Obsolete’ and ‘Not Available’ according to LG. There is another board listed for this model of range - but the connectors are entirely different and it does not fit. I have called and mailed LG support and their parts supplier multiple times and have got no help in resolving this - very frustrated and would certainly not buy another LG appliance based upon my experience so far.

I received delivery from Home Depot of my LSG4513ST range on December 16, 2020. I immediately began smelling gas when the range was on, but was told that this was normal and that the oven had to run for a while and it would dissipate. The gas smell did not dissipate and was and is detectable by my gas meter. Home Depot was not able to get anyone out to my home to check on the range until 12/31. On 12/31, the plumber/gas fitter came to my home, inspected the range, and said that it was defective and would need to be replaced. I was told that I had to contact LG myself which I did.
It took LG until 1/4 to send their representative who is ASAP solutions. ASAP solutions inspected the range and said that it needed a new igniter and manifold. Evidently, there was what they call a “bulletin” on this new $2200 range. In other words, it had defective parts that were known to be defective when I purchased the range which I waited multiple weeks for as it was on back order. In fact, the range wasn’t even manufactured until October of 2020 and was shipped from Korea. Instead of replacing the range, the LG representative from ASAP solutions said they were going to replace the igniter and manifold. I was told that it would be at most a week to order the parts and repair the range. That week has now come and gone and The LG subcontractor is not even answering my emails as to when this will be resolved.
I would just like to add that I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and that it is not business as usual. I have had to have numerous people come to my home at the expense of my own family’s health to go through this process to still not have a working range. I have not had a working range since December 16, 2020 prior to the delivery of this very expensive range that has never worked, and by the way, I purchased an extended warranty. If I may, I would also like to add that my family has had to go without a range during the holidays and there seems to be no resolution in sight.

After three months of no oven and reordering of numerous parts replaced including, fuses, transformer and main motherboard and display panel the oven worked for light duty. I was advised to never you self cleaning mode again. We’re talking brand new oven, 1700.00 as this is typical for LG ovens. I was told the next time my oven would be replaced. Again I was told to never use the self cleaning mode.
Fast forward to Jan 1st 2021. I go to turn on one and it won’t heat up. F19 error code. Main part is out again. Mind you, I have not used self cleaning mode since the last time and my LG warranty just went off and I’ve switched onto SquareTrade. They want to send parts again after I was guaranteed a replacement this time for this lemon oven. Apparently the service provider heaped all my visits into only two incidents and LG did not mark my account that oven would be replaced. You see they can’t tell me why the part keeps failing. LG just keeps sending parts for their warranty no matter what instead of replacing.
I will not buy LG again. They should back their products. They just replace parts instead of unit until it’s past warranty and you're still stuck with a pile of crap but you’ve now exhausted your warranty and the same defective part that they haven’t fixed or self cleaning mode that burns oven up goes away and you're left with a lemon appliance that you now need to buy a new oven. My last oven was 20 years old. I used self cleaning all the time. Never had one problem or service call on it. LG is junk.

We bought a house with built-in LG double wall ovens. They were inspected prior to our purchase and worked fine. We decided to use the self-clean mode on the upper unit that is built in to the appliance and what a huge mistake that was! The electronic touch screen went blank, the door locked shut, and the oven heated up to some insane temperature that had us concerned the unit would catch the wood enclosure the ovens were built into on fire. The self-clean took over 5 hours to complete and the upper oven has not worked since. I went online to see if I could figure out what happened and saw that this is a very common complaint about LG ovens.
So, I contacted LG to file a claim and they refused to acknowledge the issue and said they would not warranty the appliance because our purchase contract didn't specifically call out the serial and model numbers of the BUILT IN UNIT. They had no concern about the fire hazard created by using the self-clean feature on the unit and no offer to inspect or correct the damage (that seems to be a regular occurrence) caused by using their appliance's self-clean feature. LG offers both a shoddy appliance and a shoddy customer service experience. I will not be purchasing another LG product.

They had scheduled an in-home visit to see the issue but never showed up. We have still not received a satisfactory response. The latest response was to keep the children out of the kitchen. The children are the only ones that haven't accidentally turned it on.

On Dec. 10, 2020 I had been waiting 8 days for someone from the LG Executive team to contact me as our brand new LG gas range (i.e. which leaked gas), resulted in us having to shut it down and evacuate our home. Two independent companies came out and identified the problem coming from somewhere inside the stove / oven, (i.e. and not anything to do with the installation hook-up etc.). I finally called LG back, (and spoke to someone in Panama), and they said that they couldn't find an LG repair person that was available in the next 3 plus weeks (i.e. over the upcoming Christmas Holidays), meanwhile we had no useable stove to cook with.
I asked for a replacement stove and was told that a BC Representative was the only one that could authorize that and that they would call me back in another 3 - 5 more days. Well if this happens within this time frame. Unfortunately Home Depot, where we purchased the product, could only refer us back to LG Customer Service. A minor issue we could handle, but a gas leak and no stove to cook with is something else. This does not bode well for my overall experience so far with LG's customer service, so I at this time, cannot recommend LG products. Perhaps if and when things are sorted out I can add positively or negatively to this review. Ron B. on Vancouver island.

I purchased glass top electric range, French door refrigerator, dishwasher, & microwave about 7 years ago. I’ve already had all 3 major appliance serviced. Dishwasher 6mos after purchase, frig 3 yrs, range 6 mod ago flashed F9 no heat in oven. Now 2 LG elements on stove, sometimes heat up, sometimes not. Usually if I put them on high the will go on, but can’t regulate them. I’ve always owned GE appliances and never replaced bc they no longer worked. They’d been out dated. This will be my 2nd repair for a couple hundred $$ within 6mos on a 7yr old stove. Also NO ONE wants to service LG. At least in my area. Appliances look great but not dependable.

Our new LG model 6323S electric range needed gating used to. Something to consider, LG designers didn't think of the 220 connection at the rear of the range. Unlike my old range, the back cover did not go all the way to the floor, leaving twelve inches clear and unobstructed access to the underside from the rear of the range, this allowed plenty of room for the electrical connection and allowed the heavy wiring to slide under the rear of the appliance and further allowing the range to go all the way back flush against the wall.
With this new range, the full rear back cover completely prevent access to the void under the range, there is no room allowing clearance for the connection and storage for the excess heavy wiring, causing the range to stick out from the wall over three inches looking out of place and giving room for items to fall behind the stove. I'm strongly contemplating getting rid of this LG range. When purchasing a new range, who would think of such an issue? Won't do the same mistake again.

I recently purchases a "Model # LSE4611ST" slide in glass top range. I was very happy with it in the beginning. This past summer I was canning, the process was done, I laid a cloth on the unused side of the range and put my jars on it from the canner. I went out for 20 minutes, came in and found the front burner on and the cloth burned to the stove top. What I discovered was that when you leaned forward into the stove, the controls on the front of the stove are extremely flexible and it takes nothing at all to turn on the burner.
I had a similar experience this afternoon and apparently touched a dial with my body and it turn it on while I was cleaning another section of the glass top. I almost set my hand on it and realized in time that the burner was on. I still like the range, just do NOT like that the control knobs are so easily manipulated. Thank goodness we don't have children in the house, it would be dangerous.
My experience with LG has not led to a resolution. My issue that the knobs on the front of the range were very susceptible to touch and that it was easy to turn the burners on without being aware of it. I had a fire on my stove that burned thru a mat and damaged my burner. When the repairman came out he told me that was the way it was, there was no way to make the knobs more resistant to light touch. That this was the way it was. It makes bothers me that something so easy to fix to prevent accidents is deemed not viable by the company.

Bought LG slide in smoothtop electric range (LSE4613ST) from Best Buy in Nov 2017 when my 12 year old Frigidaire professional gave up. First one was a lemon, so many issues within the first month. Best buy gave us a new one in exchange. The second one, has heating issues. Burners heat up way too high even in low setting leaving burnt food most days. The 12-inch burner never came up to heat any of my pans to the level as the 9-inch heated (faulty sensor??).
Reported issue to LG, after so much back and forth discussions they arranged a repair with Greenwire appliance. They came in twice, once to diagnose and other time to change a thermostat/sensor. It's been a year since they fixed it. Problem never went off. Same overheating issue in all the burners and underheating in 12-inch burner. Called LG again, they said they can't help anymore. I'm now left with a big garbage in my kitchen and forced to shop again for another stove. I can definitely say this model has a big issue, LG must do a recall. Do yourself a favor, never buy anything LG.

I bought this LG gas range last November at Home Depot. (And they knew nothing at all about the flaws in the range.) To begin, there was a problem with the gas not turning on quickly enough, causing some gas to leak out, and a repairman came and fixed it. It required a part that had to be ordered, and I couldn’t use the range for a few days. But there are two other big problems I have had. First, the easy clean feature. It doesn’t work. At all. And it is a pain to use anyway—filling the indented compartment in the bottom of the oven! Doesn’t do anything, and then you have to extract the water by hand from the oven floor. They say not to use oven cleaners, etc. as it can ruin the oven walls. Which leaves no real choices. A man who came to put in a new dishwasher told me I could use something like Soft Scrub. I haven’t tried it yet. I am 73 years old, and I am too old to have to get on my hands and knees and clean an oven.
Second problem: when the oven is on, air blows out from the oven, but instead of coming out the front, it comes out the back. The air flow is directed toward the burners and usually blows them out. If you don’t stay right with it, you have a major gas leak problem. I have had to put up barriers in front of the air flow vents to keep this from happening. I would never walk away from the stove if I use the oven and cook on the burners at the same time. This might be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I would never ever buy another lg appliance. The leaking gas is a major safety concern. The company had to know the easy clean feature doesn’t work. And when I told the repairman this, he said maybe I should have done better research before I purchased it. Wonderful customer service. I would like to give no stars...

The title says it all. I had the unfortunate incident of cracking the stove top glass of my LG stove top when I was holding my one year old boy and I accidentally dropped a drinking glass about 1 foot from the glass. I went to the LG website and the price quoted was $844 + tax. I called 3 appliance repair guys and they all said, that nobody should ever by LG stove foe this very reason. THAT THE PARTS ARE OUTRAGIOUSLY PRICED!!!! Why didn't the LOWES appliance sales guy tell me that when I bought asked for advice on whether or not I should be local or LG? I spent almost $20,000 on all new LG appliances a few years ago. Never again! I will now buy locally manufactured goods because parts are readily available and significantly less costly. Expensive lesson learned.
LG builds obsolescence into their products by outrageously charging exorbitant prices on parts! LG should be ashamed of themselves. A little mistake would now cost me and my family about $1000 to replace a glass top that is almost as expensive as a brand new stove. I will be throwing the LG stove out the window and will be buying a new locally manufactured stove. Will never ever buy LG again.

Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric range. This range has not worked correctly since the first month or two after we bought it! The temperature is NEVER at the correct temperature, the fan never stops blowing even though it’s in regular bake so that every baked good comes out too dark, and the cleaning feature has NEVER worked correctly. I have contacted LG and after them blowing me off the first time, I came here to warn people away from this garbage LG range. LG finally, after contacting me because of my first review, had two different repair companies come to my house.
The first company had made seven appointments to attempt to see what was wrong. Four different repairmen came and each one gave us a different story and ordered the wrong parts, resulting in them having to order something else and come at a later date. The second company sent one repairman and he replaced some parts also and it seemed ok, but it’s still all over the place temperature wise and the fan never goes off, still!
I do not use the convection setting, the fan should not be burning the tops of my food. This supposed attempt at LG repairing their defective appliance has been going on (this time) since November 2020. As soon as I can afford it, I’m buying a new range and rolling this one down the driveway for the garbage man. People, stay away from LG’s electric ranges, especially this model.
Original Review: My LG electric range is only about 18 months old and I really think I wasted my money. I’ve cleaned it a few times a year and all it does is blow all of the dirty stuff onto the door and I always have a layer of black burnt on mess that I have to soak off. The gasket around the door is severely stained from the black gunk that just gets baked on as the oven cleans. I called LG about a year ago and they argued with me and told me to clean the gasket myself when the owner’s manual states not to. When I told the person which page to go to in the manual, they put me on hold forever. When they came back they said they would send out a new gasket that I could install myself. The gasket has yet to arrive, and the promised call-back from a supervisor never happened.
Today, I cleaned my oven again and, yep, I’m soaking of the black layer with baking soda and water, the gasket is even more stained now. The oven fan seems to run non-stop, as if it is on convection not regular bake. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed that I proudly announced that I had just bought an LG range in the beginning. How can companies keep their business with such an inadequate level of customer service and defective products? I guess I’ll just be one of the crowd that I didn’t know existed until I searched for possible answers to this defective range’s issues. Never, never, never, again, LG! Keep your junk. My $1000 Whirlpool Gold could run laps around this piece of garbage, I wish I’d never replaced it.

BUT we choose items based on being aesthetically pleasing. I bought all 6 LG appliances - but after this frustrating 6 month long attempts I will never purchase any of their products again. I will start by saying that I own approximately $10,000 worth of LG appliances and electronics in my home. I have tried multiple times to get through to LG to discuss the issues I am having with my oven only to be hung up on or never followed up with. I take very good care of all of my appliances and electronics and up to this point have always had a good experience with LG.
My oven is a little over two years old and is no longer functional. I called LG to explain the issues I am having and simply asked them if there is something that they could do to help facilitate me getting this fixed or simply back their product, especially for a loyal customer who has spent a large sum of money on their products. I was told that my product has a one year warranty and basically told I was out of luck. After not being satisfied with this answer I asked to speak to someone who could help me. My information was taken down and I was told I would be contacted within 24-48 hours, no response. I then wrote a letter supposedly to "the president" of the company explaining my frustration, again no response.
I am very disappointed in the unwillingness of LG to at least help resolve my situation. I have been a loyal customer for a long time and I am frankly appalled by the lack of customer service. I will give you a good example of customer service: I have been a customer of Bose for years. Every time one of my pair of headphones begins to fail, despite being out of warranty, they have me send them back and they send me the new model at COST! I will say I will never purchase another LG product again and this simply could have been avoided by a courtesy phone call to make the customer feel like they matter.

After all, isn’t that what 99% of consumers want from an oven? Good luck. Whoever designed this oven was more focused on the cute noises it makes, not its basic functionality. And the instructions are even worse. Plainly, whoever wrote the instructions never actually used this oven. Seven years of higher education, plus a year as a short-order cook in a commercial kitchen, and it still took me a half hour just to turn the damn thing on. Calling the company led me to a voicemail. "I am not happy with LG". My wife and I purchased the LG combination package refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, & range. They were delivered to our home on December 19, 2016. We always had problems with our LG Range model LSE4613. The convection never seemed to bake evenly (or was it our imagination). Yesterday my wife set the over to self clean and the power just died! The panel is dead and although it indicates the burner is on, the top burners don't heat. I've checked circuit breakers and have unplugged to hopefully get a reset, to no avail. We paid $1,600 for the range and use it perhaps three times a week. Don't you think it would last at least four years? I called the service number and guess what I was told but the unsympathetic representative? "You're out of warranty and basically out-of-luck. Good luck Mr. **." Will never buy LG again (unless LG owns up to their defunct product)!

We are senior citizens who downsized from our house to a co-op. For our co-op we purchased all new appliances. Among the appliances is an LG electric induction range. We moved into our co-op on September 22nd. The range has not operated correctly with one of the cooktops not operating at all and the oven door constantly looking and requiring reprograming. The range was purchased from Lowe's and it was recommended that we purchase the extended warranty which I am glad we did.
According to the serial number the range was manufactured April 2020. Upon contacting LG it was arranged for a technician to come to our co-op and check out the range. The technician concluded that the cooktop is defective and requires replacement. The lockout required reprograming. The technician was unable to tell us when the cooktop would be available for replacement. We will give LG a week and if not resolved will consider returning the range. Should this not be available for us to return the range if necessary we will institute legal proceedings. It would be to LG's advantage to better checking out their products before releasing them for sale. We are completely discussed and would not recommend LG. We also purchased an LG refrigerator and dishwasher and pray that we have no problems with them.

Original Review: We replaced all of our GE appliances that we had well over ten years with LG because of the design and salesman "said" it's a good product. The gas range model# LRG3193BD, side by side refrigerator model #LSXS26386D, dishwasher model #805KWYPOP434 and the front load washer and dryer spending a good $8000 less than 2yrs ago. The stove looks like it's 10yrs old (easy clean is a whole joke, food seared on pretty blue oven which I now have to clean myself). We have discoloration on the door handle, knobs, grates and burners all within a couple months of use.. Now the main board has gone out and to top that off we find out it has since been discontinued.
Called LG customer service (nightmare). They refused to sell us the part saying only license repair Co can order. Had to pay repair Co $116 come to tell us they cannot get the part. Called LG again (nightmare) and all of a sudden they can send us the part for $106 but it's on backordered. The refrigerator is discoloring in areas we don't even touch and the ice-maker starts and stops when it wants to. The dishwasher doesn't clean or dry well and the slightest touch turns it on. Where you put the detergents has rusted and it's hard to clean and we have to leave the washer open after use or it smells to high heaven, dryer is ok. Remember these products are no more than "2yrs old." I will never buy LG products "again" nor will I recommend to anyone!

The day that they were supposed to come we get a call from the company that was supposed to come out to fix it that they are not coming because they do not service our area and that I need to call the Home Depot protection plan back. I called them the same day and told them what I was told and they told me they would look into it and let me know once they find someone that can service my area. When they didn’t call me I decided to call, Almost two weeks went by nothing so I called again and they had the nerve to tell me that it’s showing that I canceled the job, which was a lie. I was not happy but I kept my cool and they finally found someone to service my area and told me that they would be there on August 25th, 2020 between 9am/5:pm.
Once the technician arrived he looked at it and told me he had to order the part and I will get a call when they will come to replace the part. Two or three days after the technician came both of my oven stopped working so I called them and told them that and asked them if they were going to send someone out to look at it since it is a different issue, they told me no and that the parts that the technician is going to replace should fix the problem. Mind you they didn’t even know what the issue was, anyway On September 11, 2020 the technician came to replace the part, I told him, "Well the oven is not working and I was told that the part you are about to replace should fix that issue."
He replied, "I am not quite sure if it will because I don’t know what the issue is but I will take a look at it after I install this part." Guess what? It did not fix the oven part of it so now he had to order another part. On September 18,2020 the technician came to replace the part for the oven, once he replaced it the oven was still not working, the technician told me the oven cannot be fix and that there is no parts to replace that he will go to his truck, call the office and let them know that so they can move on to the next step and he will let me know what they said. I waited inside my house and the technician never came back in. I noticed he left without letting me know what was said.
I immediately called the company and they told me they will submit the report to home depot protection plan and let them know. I decided right after I got off the phone with them to call me Home Depot protection plan and let them know what I was told and they told me, "Ok we will wait for them to submit it" and it should take 24 to 72 hours for them to make a decision and get back to me. On September 22, 2020 I called Home Depot protection plan to find out the status. I explained the situation and I was transferred to a supervisor and I waited an hour on the phone before I finally reached a supervisor. I also explained the situation and he told me he would contact LG to escalate this for a buy out review and told me to look out for an email tomorrow.
About two hours later I get a call telling us that a technician will be coming on September 23rd, 2020 to fix the oven. I was confused so I called Home Depot protection plan again to ask them what was going on and why were they sending the same company to fix something that they already deemed could not be fixed, they transferred me to a supervisor again and I waited another hour for a supervisor to come on the phone. The supervisor tells me that there was never a report sent to them stating that they could not fix the oven and that LG is sending a technician out to service my oven.
It is going on almost two months going back and forth with Home Depot protection plan and LG and I am still with an oven that is not working and they have been bouncing me back and forth and I am been told something different every time I call. I operate a business from home that requires me to use my stove top and oven on the regular and not having a working oven has affected my business and my ability to cook for my 6 children and husband. This has been one of the worst experience, the range is only 4 years old. It was very expensive and it is a shame that it had gone bad in such a short time.
Home Depot protection plan and LG are the absolute worst to deal with. It is unfair and very unprofessional what they are doing because when I purchase the protection plan I was told if they could not fix the product after they attempt to fix the problem they would replace the product or provide me with the money that I purchased it for to get another one. Now they are playing game and going around the bushes. I am very disappointed, unsatisfied and frustrated with both Home Depot protection plan and LG.

Tried using baking soda and water. No luck. Salesman said, "Just use the easy clean cycle and you’re good to go!" Boy do I feel stupid! $1000.00 not well spent. Spent over $5500.00 for all new LG Appliances. Makes me question my purchases.

Purchased an LG microwave, refrigerator and range 2 years ago. In the first 24 hours the condenser went out on refrigerator, had to wait 4 months for replacement due to back orders. Then 3 months ago the range start button decided to die (which controls clock and oven). Paid 100.00 for a repairman to tell me I would need a new motherboard for one button, which would cost over 450.00. Of course, I called customer service and went back and forth for 1 month to be told, sorry it is 2 years old. Well, I guess they only make appliances to last a minimal amount of time. Last week, I opened the microwave and the ???? vent fell off in my hands. Run to American made, these are junk!!!

Horrible experience! Bought Range less than eight months ago. The oven stopped working after three months of having the Electric Range. The tech was very professional, but he had to come three more times and change the motherboard. I was finally done with this range since the oven stopped working every three months. After the third visit, I requested a refund, and the company wanted an original receipt and was just horrible customer service, and I was told that process could take 14 days. I was told without a receipt I wouldn't get a refund for their defective item. I am glad I had a receipt, but the customer service was so horrible went it came down to the refund process. Never will I buy another item from LG, considering how unreasonable they are with the whole process. Also, I have never purchased a range that needed repairs 3 times in the first eight months of purchased. NOT IMPRESSED....

Have this stove for less than 5 years. From one day to the next the oven just stopped working. Error code F9 displayed on oven control panel and when I checked manual it states the regulator valve is closed. How can this shut off without it being touched? We unplugged the stove for an hour and still the oven doesn’t heat. Also, the burner control knobs just turn on their own by the slightest bump. Few times smelled gas and it was because the knobs had turn unknowingly. This is very dangerous. The grates are even changing colors. It seems the warranty is no longer in effect. Now what?

We purchased an LG Gas Range for our new house in 2017. It was fine for a while with the exception that the last knob on the highest burner would go on with the slight touch or just rubbing by it slowly. This we had to be very careful of. The oven never seemed to be able to be adjusted to the proper temperature and I always had to add time to cooking. Then it decided to throw me F9's. We did everything we could to fix this problem but it would run right for one time and then be back to a F9 after heating to 110. I have stopped using the oven and after reading all the reviews I know I have a dud. No sense in having people to come out and try to fix it with this virus going on. No sense in putting good money into bad. I will never buy an LG product again.

We have had an F3 error code issue for months, it threw the error for the first time 2 years to the month from date of manufacture. We have had the range for 26 months and the error for the last six months of that. After numerous calls with LG they would tell us to unplug the unit and at first that would clear the error only for it to return a few days to a week later, then when those calls resulted in the error never clearing they suggested that we have a tech out to fix it at our own expense since it was beyond warranty.
After numerous visits from a LG referred appliance repair company, having LG first suggest we spend $200 on a part to replace the buttons, then when that didnt work asked to spend another $160 on the actual control panel part for the electronic system LG shipped a part for this stove which does not fit in the actual model we have. They apparently have "discontinued" the original part that is needed, at this point there is no part that fits our range which was manufactured 2 years ago in March 2018, we received the stove in June 2018 and have had issues with the F3 error "button in a continuous shortage" stage since about March 2020.
This was not a cheap gas range. It cost ~$2,000 and to have spent $360 on parts + another $200 on labor at this point we are so frustrated. that is $560 that we could have put towards a stove that would not be a continuous pain the the side to have repaired, for an issue that should not be coming up so close to the manufacture date on an appliance of this cost only to find that they dont make the part we need any longer. I would not recommend purchasing a LG range to anyone I know.

Updated 09/04/2020: Every single review here on this website, there is a response from LG promising to look into the problem, it's been two weeks since I sent them my information that they asked for and have heard nothing. Since then I've had my electric range repaired. On my credit card statement they charged me $135 just for the diagnostic and $150.50 for the replacement of a Rotary Switch. It took the repair technician 45 minutes to take my stove apart and test each component. He couldn't determine what was wrong with the stove at this point. Then he went to the visitor parking lot where his truck was parked and brought in the box of parts, why didn't he bring them in when he came in, (the clock is ticking at $65 for 15 minutes)? He opened the box and took out a rotary switch, that's the plug on the knob that turns your stove on and off. He replaced it and that was what the problem was, problem solved. The time that it took him replacing the very first part that he tested without taking the range apart was like two minutes. He should have done that to begin with. Summary: it took the Technician 50 minutes to take the whole stove apart and test everything without a diagnosis and less than 5 minutes to replace the first part that he tested without having to take the whole stove apart. I was charged an additional $150.50 for that on top of the $135 for the diagnostic fee. I disputed this charge with a supervisor after calling them and haven't heard anything since 8/27/20 for their review of my complaint.
Original review: I purchased the $1,100 electric range 2 years ago. I use it three, four times a month maximum and already after 2 years the front right burner doesn't work. I called customer service to inquire about it and they informed me the warranty had expired after a year. I said I was very disappointed after having a stove for only 2 years that already I need to have a burner replaced. I was told that the supervisor could review the matter and that I would hear back 3 to 5 days. I heard back after about eight days with a denial and that I have to pay for the repair. I'm stunned that I paid $1,100 for the stove and already and it needs to be repaired???

I am so disappointed in the very poor quality and even more so when I called up and got the runaround. The LG representative told me that I needed to have the store call them to have somebody come out. Meanwhile the store is the one who told me to call LG.I have no faith in this product at all and I don't see how a representative coming out is going to be able to repair these grates because it's just going to happen again. I am currently awaiting the 4th product that I purchased which is on backorder, a dishwasher which I will not be accepting. I will never buy another LG product again.

I was also told that it is hard to find parts as LG Discontinues them frequently. Got it fixed in December of 2019 and here we are again. The convection oven stopped working and was shooting out flames. I researched and found out this always fails on this range. Totally disappointed. Couldn't find anyone to repair it in my area and I tried to order the part for it and spent an additional 80.00. Still can not get it to work. Now I am at the point of buying a different range and definitely won't be an LG. I am so upset. I wasted my money. I purchased 4 LG appliances with a home remodeling project. We moved into our house in late April. Last week, we cooked a pizza in the top oven. As with pizza sometimes, the cheese melted over the edge of the pizza stone onto the bottom of the oven. No biggie - it has a self-clean feature. When the pizza was done, I immediately set it to self-clean since it was already heated. It took 3 hours and heated my house to 80 degrees (note to self, do not self-clean an oven when it's 95 degrees outside). The next morning I opened the oven to put my racks back in and to my surprise, all the self-cleaning feature had done was to BAKE the melted cheese even harder onto the surface. I had to take out (unscrew) the bottom tray and clean it with oven cleaner and 409. It's still not perfect. Very disappointed.

We have had it in our home for one week and we've accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really don't want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

I tried to get my issues addressed while the appliance was still under warranty but LG is horrible to deal with. They requested a copy of my receipt which I provided but unfortunately they dont have people smart enough their to read the receipt where my range is clearly listed. I have given up dealing with them and will end up just replacing this hunk of junk and will never buy another LG and recommend everyone else avoids them too!

I’ve owned this stove for approx 1 1/2 years and in this time my roommate and I have nearly burned the house down TWICE. The knobs are SO easy to accidentally bump and turn on. The first time I had a bag on top of the stove and luckily noticed before it started flaming, but my roommate started an actual full on fire last night with a basket of laundry. I’ve since taken the knobs off, but have read other reviews of people who have done the same, but that bumping the stems actually turns the burners on easier than if the knobs were in place???♀️ Ordered some child proofing so we’ll see how that works. No issues with cooking, but it’s NOT worth the risk!

In a private message we would need your address, model and serial number so that we can schedule a repair. Please let us know if you are interested.

I have had my LG range for a year now. The oven consistently burns food in the back while the front is not even cooked. The convection feature does not seem to work correctly and only burns food quicker. While the oven takes a long time to preheat, it will cook foods about 5 minutes faster than the recipe calls for so you have to pay attention. I thought the easy clean feature was self cleaning, it is not! My oven is stained on the bottom despite wholehearted efforts to clean multiple times. One major safety concern is that while the oven is on, the metal front of the stove becomes extremely hot and can burn you if you lean against it while cooking on the stove top and the oven is on. The stove burners all cook differently at the same temperature.
The left front never brings water to a boil and it takes forever for any of the other burners to bring water to a rolling boil. The top is also difficult to clean and not like my old glass top. And lastly, and irritating quirk is that the range's timer requires only minutes but the LG range top microwave requires minutes and seconds. I have reversed this and burnt several things. I want my old Whirlpool range back! It was consistent and it worked. I will not buy an LG stove again.

I bought an LG gas stove a year ago and a microwave as well. What a piece of junk the stove is! It does not heat up fast. It takes 20 min to come to 350 and it does not even heat up right. I am always burning food which never happened unless it was my fault. It has 2 temps burnt or raw! I do use it a lot but that is no excuse. The blue interior has a haze on it I can't get rid of, I have tried everything under the sun. If there was a way to get my money back or fixed the interior I would but Google is no help.
Now the microwave, it went out 6 months ago I called them it took another 3 months for them to get someone to come out and we live in Northern VA not a rural area then another 3 months to get someone out to fix it. We hardly ever use it (the microwave) and to have the control board go out at 6 months is crazy. I got the extended and it's acting up again! I dont think I can ever buy an LG product again. If I had the money I would junk the stove and get something else. But I don't. I somehow doubt LG even cares. Neither one was cheap.
