When Kinetico got installed we were told we have to change the filter every three months. We are looking for a strong system which will protect all minerals in the water, reduce the hardness and give a good softness to the water. And on top of that, I want the filter system to be operational long time, not three months because we cannot change the filter every three months. The customer service needs to be improved because they need to come at least every six months to check the system and how it is working. That will be appreciated, but that is not happening. Nevertheless, I referred them to some of my friends and they already installed that one.

We had the best experience ever! I wish we would of done it sooner! It's very easy to take care of! The water taste so wonderful. Our showers are great! My laundry is cleaner, the water suds up. And best of all, no more rings from the iron in our water! The company that installed it was also wonderful, Martin's.

I like the Kinetico system. I especially like not having to use the bottled water. However, I don’t know how to maintain the system because I’m not calling Air & Water Supply back. In fact, I would tell others not to ever hire the people in Osage to do the installation because those guys know nothing about what they’re doing.
I hired Kinetico to change out my water heater and put in the water softener and the reverse osmosis for drinking. I guess Air & Water Supply is the licensed contractor here in the Osage Beach area for Kinetico. But they broke my water main off the inside of my wall and completely flooded out my condo. Plus they lied to me. They told me that I had a little leak and they cleaned it up with my mop. Thank goodness I had somebody down here to come look and they said the water was flooding out of my my kitchen door. The water came out so fast that it hit the wall and out to the side of the condo then went into my neighbor’s condo.
The plumbers told our HOA person that they would call this water mitigator, have them out there that day and get it cleaned up. But what they did in fact was go get a Rug Doctor and pull out whatever water they could get. Then they told me it was all dried up and it was fine. But the next day, the same person that I know came in to check it and the water had moved underneath the carpet and into the bedroom. I had to have water mitigators come in here and dry it all up. They had to strip out every single piece of flooring and cut off the bottom four inches of all of my dry wall. I also had to replace cabinets. It was a mess.
When I had called and asked Air & Water Supply to come back out here so the water mitigators could come and dry all of it up, they had the audacity to ask me who they were gonna bill for it. I had to pay another plumber to disconnect everything so it could be cleaned up then connect everything back up. Also, when I called them and asked them questions, they shut me out and told me that they’ll send it to their insurance and I had to deal with them. But when I called their insurance, they hadn’t sent it in yet. So I had to go through mine.
The only thing that Air & Water Supply contacted me for was to receive the balance of their payment. Whenever you do this, you pay half down and they continuously bother me about when they’re gonna get the other half. It's been four months and I’m 95% done fixing my condo. I don’t think I should have to pay them the rest of the payment. When they hooked up my Kinetico system under the sink, they even did it not to code. They had the water shut off valve in front of the electrical box. Based on the plumbers who put the system in, I'm very dissatisfied with Kinetico. I’m not a happy camper.

I had hard water, which I knew when I moved into the house. So, I went ahead and got the water softening system. The Kinetico people who came to my home were well-informed and they also did a good job advising and pointing out what was right and what was wrong. They came in and tested out the water. It was a quality experience.
There was a scheduling issue during the installation. They had given me a time that worked perfectly for my wife and I, and then, they had to change it. So there was a little difficulty trying to rearrange our schedule. But once they got here, everything was done in a timely fashion. They left everything the way they found it. They even advised me on how to properly operate everything, and where to get the salt or the filters. Since the system was installed, I don't have hard water stains, which is nice. And with the reverse osmosis water filter for the drinking water, the water is great. Clean drinking water tastes delicious.

We got Kinetico's water softener and the Reverse Osmosis for a new home that we built. The company's rep who helped us was very friendly and knowledgeable, and the installation team was excellent as well. The install wasn’t an easy job though. The team had a half day to get it all in and then they’ve come back just the other day and hooked it up into our own system, because the last time I didn’t have a kitchen sink or the refrigerator in place. Now, we haven’t moved in, but everything is going fine. It has been great working with Kinetico. It is a very good outfit and very professional.

The Kinetico water softener system that I have turns my stinky water into good water. I have to put hydrogen peroxide in it to make it work correctly, and it works pretty good. When the rep came out to show me how the system works, he talked to me about reverse osmosis water system. So we got those things too, and we had a good experience with the installation.

I had a good experience with Kinetico. I got a water softener and filter system from them. We bought a brand new house and the water here is really hard, it’s 20-plus grain water. We’ve had systems before and made the decision that when we bought this house, we would buy a water softener and a reverse osmosis purification system. I researched all the products that were available in the marketplace and chose Kinetico. Their system is a genius, the use of water pressure to run the whole thing. It also has fewer issues, maintenance-wise.
Interacting with Kinetico's rep was straightforward. The installation went smoothly and the mechanic did a good job on it. Kinetico's system is nice and it works well. Since having the water system installed, our water is a lot better. The installer also pointed something out underneath my house and it was pretty interesting. It was an air conditioning duct that wasn’t insulated properly and it was causing condensation. So, it was nice to get that little extra bonus and have the guy look in under there. That problem has been fixed since.

In the previous house we owned, we had hard water and we saw all the damages that it did. We knew that when we built this house we were gonna get a water softener so I started looking into it. Kinetico uses no electricity and has low salt consumption. Their rep was also very knowledgeable. We've had the water softener system since July 7th and I can tell the difference the water has on our skin. Also, we haven't noticed anything on our faucets. There isn't any build-up and any hard water on the glass doors. Kinetico is the only way to go.

I had extremely hard water with lots of mineral deposits around the faucets. We had just bought the house and saw that it was a problem. Kinetico was referred to us and the guy from Kinetico came out and gave me a little song and dance. Before he was even done, I was already sold on it because I liked the technology and the way it was set up, and the name was good. The system has no electricity and it was kinda neat. It also did not require yearly maintenance. Everything is self-enclosed and it requires very little to do, except the salt. It was particularly appealing to me. It is a very low-maintenance system.
The installation process was simple. The gentleman came out much sooner than I had probably would expect from anyone else. He was out within a couple of days when I decided to do it with Kinetico. Something wasn't set up exactly right to accommodate where we were putting the system and he had to tap off another pipe. Without too much difficulty, he was able to install it exactly where it made sense at, and it was his idea to put it there. The installation process didn't take terribly long and it wasn't an inconvenience.
I have noticed that there are no more mineral deposits and hard water stains. I'd only have to use a little soap. The system delivered everything that the soft water is supposed to deliver. Also, my glass shower doors don't get as filthy anymore. And since there's an extra filter on the system, the water tastes outstanding. I'm one of those believers in "you get what you pay for" and while the system might have been up a bit higher than the basic water softener from their competitors, it was well worth it. It is easy to maintain and doesn't require a lot, just remember to add the salt.
The only thing that would be wise somewhere along the way is to have a timing device to let you know when it is time to add salt. The only way to find out if you need to put salt is to go down into the basement and open the system up and take a look inside. If there was a device that would say, "Beep. Hey, it's time to change me," that would be helpful. There is probably an app that could do something like that. When I forgot to check the first time, there was no salt left and we don't want to get to that point again, so now, I'm a little more stolid about doing what I'm supposed to do. I've highly recommended Kinetico and if I am put on the phone with somebody, I'd sell it right to them.

I always thought that a water softener filtration system was a good idea. My brother-in-law put the system in his house and I liked it. I went to Kinetico online and their sales guy got back to me on the same day then they came out a couple of days later. The salesman did a great job and answered all my questions. I was happy. The installation went fine as well. It was straightforward. They've been doing it for a while so it went smoothly. I got the Premier Series which got the whole house system and the drinking water. Now, our coffee pots and stuff have less mineral deposits and we could taste the difference in the drinking water right away. I've been really happy with everything. I also recommend Kinetico to anybody who talks to me.

We had hard water and it was difficult to clean. I was looking into the water softeners and a gentleman kind of sold me on the reverse osmosis. We now have Kinetico's quad tank system and the reverse osmosis system. The salesman that I had was very hands-on, knowledgeable, and patient. He was willing to answer all my questions like my inquiry about the amount of salt that would be in the water.
But I wasn’t happy with the installation. We had a leak from the installation because there was a part of the unit that wasn’t correctly installed. I don’t know if it was an installation problem or if it was just a defective unit, but it was part of the water softener unit that wasn’t done correctly. We had to do an insurance claim with Kinetico to get the water damage fixed. Dealing with the plumbing and everything to completely finish the house was difficult.
I like the reverse osmosis and the drinking water part of it because I can tell a difference in our water there. But as far as the regular water used for the showering and stuff, I haven’t really noticed that it is easier to clean the hard water stains or that I can use less soap. If I had to do it over again, I would probably choose a different company. People interested in Kinetico should do their own research.

The water where we live was hard and I bought a saltwater filtration system from Kinetico. The sales rep was good and informative. The installers were fine as well but we are having some problems because the system stopped working. It shows it is in service but at the same time you could see that there’s no softening happening because you cannot see drops coming over there and you don’t feel any kind of salt in the water. The system worked fine for 20 days. It happened one time and then, we called them in again. It has happened four times already and the technician has come three times. The techs have been good and receptive but we are gonna call the company who did this for us one more time and find a permanent solution because we don't wanna keep on calling them all the time.
Since having the filtration system, the water has become soft and everything becomes slippery which is good. It was what we wanted too and you can see the difference now that it’s not working. Still, we have given a recommendation to a lot of our neighbors. At least four neighbors of ours have already gone with the same system right now.

I've had Kinetico for years and years and years now and I love them. We had a system put in in our first house and now that we have moved into a new house, we have another system put in. We have the drinking station and the whole house filter too. Our system got four tanks and is the one that dechlorinates. I'm on the county water, which is very heavily chlorinated, and it's like 26 grains of hardness. We drink a lot of water and we have pets and we feed them a lot of water too. Since the system was installed, the water that's coming out of our faucet is very nice. I'm digging the RO. I'm pretty happy at this point and I highly recommend Kinetico if people can afford it. They're pricey but if you're running all that hard water through your washing machine, dryer, and hot water heater, your appliances are taking a hit. I have told this to a neighbor and I may have talked him into it.

We've got quite a bit of chlorine in our county water and the water softener filtration system was one of the systems that I was told could help me filter that out. I got one from Kinetico and it's really efficient on salt. We also have their drinking water system and we love our drinking water. Also, our installer did a good job on making sure that our pressure was right for our home. We don't notice any pressure differences, either in the drinking water or in the regular tap on the showers or anything like that. I grew up on a water softener, so I'm familiar with the difference in the feel of the water and I feel like it was a really, really good decision. I would definitely suggest to friends to do it. From a health standpoint, it is important to keep an eye on your water. And Kinetico, at least, around here, are pretty much the top-of-the-line that you can find on both sides, the Kinetico drinking water and the water softener.

We had super hard water in the house, which we really needed to deal with. My parents live in Florida and almost every home down there has a home water softening system. They recommended Kinetico based on their own experience and I wanted to go with their suggestion. I filled out an online form requesting an in-home estimate from Kinetico and I received a really prompt call setting up a time for a technician to come out. The technician came as scheduled and was very informative and helpful. He then gave us a couple of days to think over our decision. Afterwards, the install was very seamless and took a couple of hours. It was really fast. Plus, my interactions with their installation team were great. We also took advantage of the free water test. It was great and it confirmed our suspicions that we had really hard water.
Before we had the water treated, I was having significant skin issues. I noticed the skin thing because when I would travel for work, I’d be gone for five days and my skin would look amazing. Then I’d come home and it would be a disaster again. I could not figure out what was going on. My mom said it might be my water and she was right. Also, when we washed the laundry and not put it through the dryer with the dryer sheet, it would be stiff as a board like it was starched because of all the minerals in the water. The feel of it to the touch is softer now. And we aren't getting a hot pink ring around our bathtub on a weekly basis. We’ve recommended Kinetico to friends in the area who are having similar issues with their water.

I'm on a well, and my well water has a lot of sulfur. The Kinetico product that I purchased was to take the sulfur out of the water. While the smell of the water got better, it did get worse eventually. I had them come out so they can work on it. The water got better, but again, it got worse. Once more, they had to come out and look at it. It got better and now, it's been bad for about two months. While I would call them again, it costs me every time they come out, and temporarily, we can get the sulfur smell better but not completely out.
The gentleman that comes out and works on it is very nice. He works hard and when he leaves, the product works for two months and then we get the sulfur smell again, and I have to call again. You turn the tap water on in the kitchen sink and it smells like rotten eggs. And when you wash clothes, it has that sulfur smell in all of the water which means you have it in your clothes. Other than that, they put in another piece of stuff that seemed to work very well, and that is for our drinking water. The water was so bad out of the tap that I called and asked if Kinetico has anything like the ice maker and the water for the refrigerator. And they put the special water thing at the sink, and those three things are fine. It's up on the wall and the water coming out is very good. Overall, the people I worked with at Kinetico have been very nice and worked very hard. The product hasn’t done what it's supposed to do though.

I would like to sell it back to the company for a reasonable price. It has totally ruined my new toilet. We get black stuff all the time, worse than before the softener, we have a sulfur smell since it has been installed and we get rust looking residue in bathroom shower and glasses. Have never had any of these problems anywhere else we have lived or with any other softener and we have at 2 or 3 different brands.

I have a water softener in my full-time house. In my condo, we're on a well and the water's just terrible. So, I started looking into water systems cause I was limited on space, and my neighbor said I should look at the system he got. I called different dealers and the first one wanted me to buy a 2055 model. I started looking around a little bit more and then I came home to Omaha and went to the Kinetico dealer there. It turned out, the owner lives a block from me. I talked to him and he told me to do a little more research because he thinks that I shouldn't deal with who I was dealing at that time.
So I looked around more and found Clean Water Solutions. They were very helpful and honest and did a great job of putting in the Kinetico system in my condo. So far, the 2040 model does a great job. It may be 800 bucks more, but it was in line with what I was told in Omaha. Although I am amazed at how much salt it uses, considering we weren't down there at the condo that much this year, but it gives me an idea. It uses quite a bit right out of the gate. But my wife does a lot of laundries and that's understandable. And the clothes are cleaner too. We don't have the issues with discoloration of water anymore. Overall, I've seen hands down improvement since I started using Kinetico. I recommend them.

A water quality test was done before the house was built and based on that test, we got a water treatment system from Kinetico. We got a quote from Bill at Water Quality Systems in Charlton, and he came out and gave me a price based on the test results. And then, they did another test, and he had to adjust the size because it had settled for a while. He put in the system, and we've been using it. We called Kinetico a couple of times because the tech had put the filter on too tight and we couldn't get it off. I didn't want to use a big old wrench and break it. But as far as the system working, it has been flawless. It's just something that we have to maintain from time to time, add salt and change the filter. The house that we currently live in has about eight grains of water hardness. We have the smallest Kinetico that they make and it has been serving its purpose flawlessly for 30 years. We love the softer water. About November last year, it was time that we rebuilt the thing. Kinetico came in, they took it, put a new bed in it, and rebuilt it completely from the ground up. Now, we’re back on a new fresh unit again. Then, in April, we bought a house on the other side of town which has 20 grains of water hardness. We needed something military grade to handle that kind of hardness and I would not even think about anything short of a Kinetico for that. They recommended the top-of-the-line unit and I wasn't even gonna question that recommendation and told them to put it in.
The unit we bought has the softening and the carbon polishing. It’s for the whole house. The installation team was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. They answered all my questions and when I had special requests, they were very congenial about doing it. They were great and I’d highly recommend them. I’m working with that company to install a whole house RO system in addition to the softener to supply my refrigerators, icemakers, and several water spigots around the house for RO water and supply tanks. They’ve been terrific in helping me out. I would never hesitate to buy another Kinetico. They were independent and they didn’t even require a lot of watching from me. They were quick and efficient.
My interactions with their reps have been excellent, too. I’ve changed the filter a couple of times and had some questions about how to do it. They were able to walk me through, which was nice. In addition, the water test that they did was great. They showed me what was going on with the water I had -- it had silica, and iron and a couple of other things. That led us to decide to do a full system that we have. Since the system was installed, the yellow staining in all of our sinks, toilets, and bathtubs have stopped. They removed a dechlorinator that wasn't working and Chuck ** (general manager) promised in writing that he will refund $900 for the dechlorinator that didn't work. 5 months later and all he does is lie, and lie. I still don't have my money. Kinetico corporate doesn't care, I have hired an attorney to get this thief to court and get my money back.

Salem had some major concerns with their water this year and my husband has renal failure. Also, I work with people with disabilities that are fragile and they stay at my house on weekends. So, I had to have a water treatment system. I called a lot of different companies and Kinetico happened to be in Salem or at least close to Salem. And they got back to me and answered all my questions. Then I had a ton more questions for them and they came back with answers for those. After that, they came out back with me. They tested the water as well and the rep who came out was really good. He went through everything and he seemed to do well. He was also very thorough and very knowledgeable.
The installers were really good, too. Not only did they do everything, but they put the stuff that goes under the sink back under it and everything was very nice. The product that I got from them is supposed to clean the water and add minerals back in. And so far, nobody is getting as sick as they were, and that’s long-term. All in all, Kinetico has been great and I would tell people about that.

I researched on water softener and filtration systems because of the water buildup on the hot water heater. I got a water softener and filter from Kinetico, which is local here in Mt. Since their products were installed, I've noticed tremendous differences and there has been no buildup.

We had a Kinetico product for 20 years then we moved to a different property. We didn’t wanna change what we were already used to that's why we got a new one. The product is mechanical and requires no electricity so it’s pretty self-contained and easy. The installation went well. The installers were able to do the job and I wasn’t needed on the property to supervise. We're happy with Kinetico. It's a quality and reliable product that's why we stuck with it.

Kinetico explained what they found in the water when they tested it and what system they recommended, and we went with that. I got a water softening system ‘cause I had hard water here in my house, and they got it installed pretty quick. However, we had some issues after it was installed. We had it break open and leak a couple times, and it was leaking all over the place. But the owner of the company got with me and got everything worked out. They sent their installer out to fix it, but the next day, it did the same thing. They sent someone else out to fix it, and we haven't had any problems since then.
The owner of the company brought out a different tank, and he didn’t charge us for that. It’s another expensive upgrade on the water system that we had, so we’re happy with the service. The smell on all the things that we were working to get rid of is gone. We have soft water now, which is not my favorite but it’s definitely better than the alternative. I’d definitely recommend Kinetico and I've referred them to other people.

It sounded like it worked for them so I hired the same company they had and that company picked the hardware for a whole house filtration system. They were good with the installation and I got the Kinetico PS 1354x model. It was an improvement over our previous system that was 25 years old and was dead.

I was at a home remodel show and the booth next to me was a water guy that did home water systems. He told me to bring in my water. I tested my water, and I couldn’t believe how much chlorine was in it. The water guy was using the Kinetico system. I did some research on it and it seemed like a really good system. I bought the reverse osmosis water system, and it works really well. We like it. It gets rid of all the chlorine and the other crap out of my water that I don’t like.
Kinetico helped me out a lot. The rep that I dealt with seemed very responsive, timely, and had great customer service. The installers did a good job too. They knew exactly how to install the system, make it work and function correctly. Once the installation was complete, it was all clean and they didn't leave anything. My body is more happy with water versus having chlorine in there. I work out a lot, and my muscles don’t ache as much because it pushes out the lactic acid a lot better. Kinetico makes really good products, and they have really good customer service here in Salem.

The system that I had before was old and wasn’t working. I had Kinetico come in and give me some idea for what can be done. I was leaving on a trip to Canada in a few weeks and I told them that I would like to have it done before then. They fit me in, came in, and installed the system so I was able to leave with the system operational and on. I had a full system installed and the tech did the job well. He checked the old system out and did the best he could. He then came back and installed the Kinetico system. He had some help from somebody else.
I’m on well water and it's hard. It also has a lot of rust on it. I was almost at the point where I was cleaning the toilets every other day because the water in the toilet bowl looked used. If I was gone for a week or two, the toilets would always have a ring on it. In fact, I have one toilet that is totally stained. There’s a big difference with the Kinetico. I’m very satisfied and pleased with the system. It works as it’s supposed to and needs almost no maintenance. I had a fantastic experience.

This is our second house that we put a Kinetico system in and I can't speak enough about the company that put the system in. About 18 years ago, our very first house had a well and what you could see everyday was literally gravel. This company is not even close to us. We had one in our town but we chose that company because they came to our house and sold us the same exact thing, and the person gave us the information and the pricing and told us to call him if we wanted. On the other hand, the others barely left our house without a check.
For the second house, we didn't even call anybody else. We had the same company and this is even a different owner now but Bill did the same. He was equally as nice and informative. We knew what we needed when we moved in and when Bill came in, it was a matter of being tested and also undersold. I wanted to be able to fill the tank, do the laundry and run the dishwasher at the same time. And he was like, "How many times do you do that?" But I wanted to. It's only my husband and I and one kid. But I have a large child, a son who likes to wear many outfits per day. Bill gave me many options, including a smaller version, and we went with a medium to higher approach. He was very pleasant and he gave me all the paperwork. Also, we knew the ballpark of what we spent in the last house and the ballpark where we thought we would be almost 20 years later was still comparable.
The installer was awesome as well. He even showed me the difference and how to work the machine. He was also the one who came out on a Saturday when there was a slight valve problem. He fixed it and although he could have never known, he couldn't have been more apologetic. In that respect, Bill has been nothing but helpful as well. Aside from sending the technician out, they gave us more peroxide. This stuff is not cheap and nobody ships it. I even drive out to Charlton for that. They're 45 minutes away and although I could buy my peroxide from someone closer, I don't since we're taken care of like that. We could not be happier. The girl who works in the office where I go and get my chlorine is fabulous too. I can't say enough about the three people that I have encountered.
When we bought this house, it was 12 years old and it had a filter but I'm almost positive that it was not a Kinetico. I couldn't fill my tub without it smelling and there's nothing worse than smelling like rotten eggs. The system wasn't large enough and it didn't filter that out enough. We got a dual-chamber product, which also softens the water. That has changed the showering and there is no more sulfur smell.

It seemed like a good quality product and I purchased a softening system for the whole house. It was only about a week before Shiloh was back out and executed the install. We've had a Kinetico system for about 25 years. It worked well and we didn't have any problems with it. The system measured out the water that was coming through and when it was time for it to flush back again. Then it quit working. It wore out. Since I thought it was a good product and I'm familiar with Shiloh Water Systems in Silverton, Oregon that put the system in, I called one of the guys that had been out here before to service the unit and he said that something's not working on it. And that we needed to rebuild it again. He replaced the head and then we basically put in a new system and upgraded it to a salt system. So far, I've been checking my pH, and the pH has been staying on where it should be. And everything in the system seems to be working okay.

The installation was done by the same company. The person they sent out told me when he was gonna be here. When he came out, he did the installation of the water softener and the arsenic filter system and reviewed everything with me. He also showed me the maintenance that was required on my part. I had a brand new house and the rust that I was getting in the water started to stain products in the house. Kinetico was the one in our area and I like doing business with local companies that is not dealing with Culligan. I had Culligan formally in Connecticut and I was not happy with them. They were too big. So, I chose to go with Kinetico and the local team that uses their product were the ones who installed my system. They also service me if I need it and things went very smoothly with them. I like them very much and the rep I worked with was fantastic. The owner of the company was also involved and I'd give a very high rating to the technician that he had down here installing it and completing the work. They were very good, very pleasant, and very informative.
So far, switching to the Kinetico system made a huge difference. It does water softening as well as conditioning. For maintenance, all I do is add salt. I buy 40-pound bags of Morton salt and keep it here at the house. Then I add it as needed and the other device will last at least at year. I enjoyed Kinetico's service and I look forward to continuing doing business with them. I have also recommended them.

Setting up the first appointment was really easy. There were so snafus. They quickly found the date that was mutually beneficial to us, and set it up.
Their reps were extremely friendly. Ryan who did the water testing was really knowledgeable, responsive and helpful. He walked us through the product, made us feel comfortable and had no problems answering our questions. Then, we had to figure out where our well was and the lines. I'd send him pictures and he took all of our calls. When the installers came out, they worked really hard and were communicative in explaining the process. I also liked how even the owner of the company came out cause we had to build the pump house for it because of the location where we wanted it. He survey everything to make sure everything was put there.
Everyone who came out were on time and communicated the process and their schedules to us. It was nice and I felt completely taken care of by their company. To find people in this day and age that don’t do a sloppy job is very uncommon, but the people from Kinetico did a professional job of installing both the sock filter and the salt filter. They knew what they were doing and they were clean. They showed up when they said they were gonna show up. I give them a call when I wanna order supplies, and they're no-nonsense. They are able to get the supplies out with no problem. Our water is a lot softer now and we use less soap. We used a water filtration system in Minnesota for the four years we were there. Then when I wanted to get a system installed again, the appointment with Kinetico was the quickest one I could get. The guy who came out here for the free water test was very good. If he wasn’t the one who was testing the water and telling me about it, I probably would not have bought a water softener and a filtration system from them. The installation took a while but the one guy that did it was fantastic. When I had an issue, I called him back and everything was fine.
Since having the system installed, our water has been extremely good compared to what we had. Our water is a bit softer and although our skin still gets dry, it doesn't get as dry as before. The tank we had in our old water system was bigger and I thought was a lot better or more efficient. The tank we have now from Kinetico is smaller and the softener is okay, but the system is pricey. I’m not too sure, however, if I would choose just the basic unit if I had to buy another system again. In general, the company can be a bit better.

I wanted something that didn’t run on electricity and has low maintenance so I decided to go with Kinetico again. The sales rep did a good job. He was very polite and thorough on testing the water and showed me what the results were. All I knew then was the water was four times hard that it starts staining things.
The system we ended up purchasing was a big unit and it's supposed to do up to 18 gallons a minute because we do irrigate. In fact, we host a car show to raise money for medical research so we have a lot of lawn to keep up throughout the summer. The person who installed the unit put in some extra valves for me that I wanted. In addition to that, we ran a bypass out back to the old pump house, and so I had access to that. And I went from thereon and buried some pipes across the driveway myself. But he did a neat installation and has done a good job. And since purchasing the system, we use less soap. As versions and things get updated, we learned more about our water system. He has been a great advisor and he's top-notch in this area.
The dealer set up our Kinetico for us and we came off a little longer, so it has just made it awesome. With our K5 Drinking Water Station, our water tastes like creek water again. My house is pretty old and it is on a well. There was a lot of iron in the water system, so it was turning the appliances orange and the water wasn't very drinkable. Plus I own a company where we have to use food products and I couldn't use that water for the food products at all because it was contaminated. So, I needed some sort of filtration system because I didn't wanna switch to city water. It doesn't taste that good and it's gonna cost me a lot of money.
I went to Home Depot to look at water filtration systems and they referred me to Kinetico. We set up an appointment and it was a very quick and easy process. They had a guy come out and do a free testing. He was very personable and very knowledgeable on the product. The fact that he had a lot of knowledge on it was really enticing. He also made me really feel good about what the product was gonna be doing. He was very professional as well, which I respected coming from another business person. At the time, I didn't have the exact money down that was gonna be needed to pay for it and they also had information on ways to go about it. I ended up getting a Home Depot credit card to pay for the filtration system that I bought from them and the system was pretty expensive. I have the mineral barrel and I have two stages of filtration.
When the system was installed, the guy who came out was a good worker, very knowledgeable, and very professional. I was watching him do the whole thing and he had given me insights on how to upkeep it, how it's working, and why they have to do this and that. So, it was really not the kind of situation where they just did their thing and left. He made sure that I was knowledgeable about the system. During the first few days that the system ran, there was almost a texture in the water that was kind of sulfuric. But after the filtration did its thing for the next couple of days, the water was very clear, very crisp, and very clean. It was very refreshing.
But the biggest difference was the bathing. Before I had Kinetico, I smelled the contamination in the water when I was taking showers. But after the filtration system cleaned it up, I felt a sense of relief and now I don't feel like I've taken a dirty shower anymore. I've also recommended Kinetico to a couple of people. Nowadays, a lot of companies are just trying to be in and out to do more jobs, but Kinetico was really prominent on making sure that I had a good and very knowledgeable experience. They showed concern for the reason why I wanted my water fixed. So, as long as they keep doing that, they're gonna be as good as they've ever been.

So we liked that mechanism with Kinetico and that’s the real reason that we went and decided to do it. We got a new system last year and it was easy to set up an appointment.

They explained everything to my wife on how it works and how to change the pre-filter on it. It was dumping too much water so they readjusted it and everything’s working great. We could definitely tell a difference with the taste. We also don’t have the hard water spots when we wash our cars and laundry.
The only thing that I wish they would do is make the filters available online. Joseph was very professional and businesslike. He did what needed to be done, and explained everything to my satisfaction. My one complaint is not with Joseph, but with the way in which the service contract is billed. The relevant service visit was free, and was not charged; however, I was setting up a new service contract. That contract is billed a year in advance, and that part not only was not explained, there was no indication on the bill that this was for a payment being made in advance. I hand wrote on the receipt on the line which simply says 'labor' that this was being paid for the coming year. This fuzzy way of handling the billing itemization of the annual service contract is pretty lame in my estimation, and not consistent with the otherwise quality service being provided.
One other thing, the test for whether or not the water softener was filtering out minerals was pretty Mickey Mouse if you ask me. When I ask that he perform a different test, those results were inconclusive because his testing powder was out-of-date and didn't appear as the proper color. I still am not confident that our water hardness is really '0', especially because up until now it has NEVER tested as '0' with the equipment currently being used.
Hi Mark,
Thanks for making Kinetico aware of your concerns. We will pass them on to the local dealer so that they can look into their processes and make corrections as necessary. We'll also ask them to call you to follow up.

There is a lot of calcium in the water where we live so we were trying to minimize what kind of damage that does to all the appliances over time. Our friend had his house remodeled and referred us to the guy who did his water filtration system in the next town over. We used the same guy and happened to do Kinetico. My wife did a lot of research and she said that Kinetico seemed to be the one that she wanted due to the reputation and people's reviews about them. The installation guy came and looked at it. He gave us a bid because we had a brand-new house built and there wasn’t anything in there yet for a water filtration system. We said okay and then when he came, he brought everything with him and did some of the revamping of the plumber that plumbed the water in the garage. He fixed that plumber's mistake while he was there.
The installer explained that if we needed to bypass the filtration, we could just open the valve and close a different valve, and it would be like there was no water filtration system. We've always had hard water. When you hop in the shower, it feels like you still got soap on you when you're done because the water is softer. You don't notice any calcium build-up on the edge of the faucets. Then, we've got an icemaker with water in our new fridge too. It has its own filter too, but that probably helps it because it doesn't have to spit out all that excess calcium and iron. I've told friends of mine about Kinetico because they said that they probably need to get one. Kinetico is the best value for their money.

I live in an area that is known for really hard water. It's not dangerous but it has a lot of minerals. So it can smell and be colored. I ended up going with Kinetico because it was the only under-the-sink system we could find that was powerful enough, with the added pump that we have, to also work with my refrigerator. They require a certain amount of pressure to actually work, like for making ice. I've tried other ones before and they didn't work. We had water but it couldn't power the refrigerator. Kinetico's under-the-sink reverse osmosis drinking water station base system is very expensive but the guy who came and installed it was awesome. He was a really nice guy. We've had it for a little over a year now and my refrigerator works.

Our water softener broke, and we had really hard water with lots of iron. My boss's mom used to work for Kinetico, and he got a system in right before we did. I went online and got the appointment set up which was super easy. The rep that came was pleasant. He did the test and went through the system and how it would benefit us. However, I felt bad for the installation guys. Our pressure tank busted on them, but that was an old tank so we ended up having to buy a new one. Everything went wrong for them, but they got it done in a day and it worked out. We had used a different brand and Kinetico is much better. With their system, I definitely don't have to clean my tub and shower as often. I also don't have to buy bottled water anymore, and my dishes aren't cloudy when I wash them. The only thing I didn't like was the price, but you get what you pay for. It's a good investment.

We've got our own well and it was really high in iron. It was turning everything orange, including the white showers, sinks, and toilets. Things were already getting stains, and we'd gotten some really good reviews from a couple of people that we knew about Kinetico, so that helped. We decided to go with the full Kinetico water softening system. It was about $4,000 and we were able to put it on a Home Depot credit card with 0% for two years, so that was a big selling point too.
Kinetico tested the water before setting up the system, and they've been great after that and during the installation. They were very clean and professional. I've called them two different times to stop by. They called one time to check on the filters, and they came out and had a guy do that. I tried to check it myself about a month later, and I couldn't get one loosened and they had a guy stop by and show me how to do it. There was something I wasn't releasing pressure on. They took care of us real well, and it's been a whole lot better than before we got the system.

All of the employees have been so nice. They are true professionals, starting with the salesman to scheduling personnel to the installation men. The installation men always wore shoe coverings so they did not bring in dirt and ask my opinion on everything they did. They left my house with nothing out of place. My experience was perfect and so is my water!

We were very unhappy with Culligan's system and service, and we could tell it was a night and day difference the second we got the Kinetico system. I had the under the sink RO system and then we did the WaterSoft home filter and softener system with Kinetico. I heard a commercial on the radio and what prompted me to check it out was the fact that it doesn't use electricity.
The reps at Kinetico were happy to set an appointment. They even sent us a thank-you letter just for contacting them. The free water test was nice. We had clear iron and tannins in our water. The rep got back to us because although there was arsenic present in our water, it barely registered on the test strip. It was a good learning experience with everything he did.
Everything went nice and clean during the installation. I was there with the gentleman the whole time and helped him out. He got it done quicker than he probably would have by himself, and it looks nice. It sits in the corner and it’s not in the doorway like the old system was. Our water had a scent to it before but since the installation our water doesn't stink anymore. Our water also tastes a lot better than bottled water almost or than it did with Culligan. It tastes good. I get out of the shower, I'm not slimy like I used to be. The different technologies Kinetico operates on versus what the traditional system is makes a world of difference.
We're happy with Kinetico. Another nice thing we like about the system is we financed it, but it's ours. The payment's going somewhere, and Culligan would not work with us on that. They wanted us to pay the same amount for what the Kinetico system cost for an eight-year-old used system so we had enough of them. We've been recommending Kinetico to other people already that are interested in changing. Everything works and I'm glad we did it.

I was told this would extend the life of the softener as well as filter odr and iron. I was hearing new noises from the filter and called for maintenance. Not only is the filter no longer functioning but the iron build up has ruined the softener. 10/22/2018. I am not sure I should purchase a newer upgraded filter and new softener for $6300. I thought the softeners were supposed to be able to be refurbished but am told that is not the case. Worked well for seven years but the price seems way too high to comparable systems.
Hi John,
Sorry to hear of your displeasure. In checking records, we do see high hardness and iron at your site. A softener will not remove sulfur, so additional equipment would be required whether at the time of original install or later.
In reading your notes, we wonder if something happened with the water that is resulting in the equipment requiring replacement.
We'll check in with your installing dealer and ask them to follow up with clarification.

A lot of the other places did one thing and if I wanted something else, I had to go somewhere else. With Kinetico, they were a full-service deal in terms of dealing with the problems that I had.
Kinetico was flexible and really full of confidence about what I needed to do. They told me that they would be positive and I found the whole experience with them to be very positive. Three people came out with one guy who was clearly in charge. He has a PhD, very informative and easy to work with. He wasn't like some people who are very short when they're working. He would stop and explain what was going on. He would make suggestions about what he thought should be done as opposed to going in another direction and explained why. Everything about the experience with both him and the next primary installer was very good. They didn't mind talking and answering questions.
My wife and I have noticed that the water is much softer now. The drinking water is also much better. There's a very big difference between before and after. The radon gas high for us at over 20,000 units. Based on what we were told should happen, the system that's responsible for pulling the gas out is running as it should. Kinetico was out last week to take samples and they made it clear that if the samples weren't what they should be, they would be back out to address the issues. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Then I had Kinetico scheduled, and their guy Brandon came out and he was awesome. He was willing to look at it, and he walked me through everything. I told him I'm a visual guy and I wanted see what I'd be buying. He said, “I'm going to the warehouse tomorrow. I moved into a new house which was on high manganese community water. So, bath water is brown and there is an odor to it. Somebody posted an ad about Kinetico in a networking group and I decided between them and Naturalogic. In the end, I went and bought a softener from Kinetico. Their sales rep was wonderful and very nice. The technicians were very nice as well. However, when they installed it, they drilled from the garage onto my crawlspace and cut an electrical wire. Then when they were tacking stuff up, they hit a ground line. Eventually, they made it right by sending an electrician out, but they installed on a Friday and I was without kitchen lights and exterior back lights to my house until Monday.
Also, it wasn’t until the next Saturday that the electrician came back for the outlet issue. It got fixed and all he did was pick electrical tapes to tape it up. Other than that, the electrician did not get alerted immediately about my issue on the outlet. After he left that Monday and I went to grind my coffee beans for the next morning and couldn’t, I texted him a picture of the outlet thing that was an issue. But he did not call me back until it was Thursday. But I sent the sales rep the same thing and followed up. And when I spoke to the electrician the next day, he said he just found out about it.
All in all, it took eight days to get everything fixed and the system itself cost me 4,500 which was what I paid Advanced Water. That was a hell of lot of money to go through. But after 4,500 flipping dollars, I have free salt for a year. And since I got Kinetico, the water quality is better. But the brown bath water is gonna be an issue for a while because of the hot water tank. The hot water tank is coated because it is the original one from 13 years ago. But that being said, my hair feels much better. It is no longer weird and corroded. It feels like hair again, so that is awesome.

Thinking it was our old unit, we tried different things.
We then got a new RO unit. The RO water was hard on certain parts on the hook spigot and our RO unit is 20 years old, so we replaced it thinking that that was the problem and it turned out maybe it wasn't. Now, we are waiting for new parts to put into the spigot but they've been a little late coming and I’m still waiting. I like the fittings on the new unit versus the old unit though. The old unit had these O-rings that leaked all the time and I would never close underneath my kitchen sink for a couple of days after a filter change because I knew the thing was gonna leak. Several times I had to call techs back out to replace the O-rings. The new one works differently and it's a better design. We've had Kinetico for a long time and overall, they've been fine.

I live next to a dump and I was drinking the water for a long time. I started thinking about the contaminants that were in there. I sought some reports from the trailer park, which is not that far away, how bad the water was and I realized I’m probably on that same well. So I purchased a K5 from Kinetico Water Systems. I just went online and called the County. They knew that the water in our area was not good, suggested I get a water system and gave me the numbers of Kinetico, Callaghan, and another company. I called up the three and had them all come out.
Callaghan wanted to mount the system where it was easier for them when I didn't want it there. On the flip side, Kinetico was willing to do the installation of their system. Also, I liked some of the features of K5 drinking system from Kinetico. Since the water quality so bad, I had those extra filters. I figured it would be the one we’d keep for a long time. The installation went just fine.
When I bought the system, they told me that it would come with two faucets and a hook-up to the refrigerator for free with the price that I'd pay. They came and hooked-up one faucet, but they couldn’t hook-up the second faucet because it ran through the drywall. I was gonna custom do it and then have them come back to put it in. However, since I was gonna sell the house and move to a new house, I just had that one faucet installed. They said they’d move the system for free one time after I purchased it. After I found a new house, they said I had to pay 150 bucks for the other faucet. I’m upset because it was in the paperwork that I would get two faucets installed. I feel I should still have the right to have that faucet even though they didn’t install it because I paid for it. I’d like to use that in my new house when they move the system.
The K5 is a good system but it’s much more expensive than others and I only bought it due to the water conditions that I have. If I had a friend that wanted a drinking water system for city water, I would tell them to go with one of the cheaper ones. However, if their water is heavily contaminated, then I would recommend the K5. I also recommend it for a big family that's going gonna be drinking a lot of water. This system definitely has its benefits with how it uses the water pressure to pump it and you don’t lose any pressure. You can have a party at your house and have fresh drinking water for the whole time.

The aforementioned list exposes my family to cancer, the Chlorate contaminate reportedly can be damaging to the thyroid. It was our intent to purchase this unit to address the increasing contaminates. The A200 Drinking System does not address the aforementioned contaminants based on Kinetico literature. We believe an exchange is necessary because we did not have the correct information based on our stated goals. It is important this matter will be addressed to our satisfaction.

My other water system from Kenmore went out and I got Kinetico's water softener and reverse osmosis. After doing research, Kinetico is the better product to get, and I'm happy with everything it's supposed to be doing. A sales representative named Brian came out from Chandler, Arizona and gave us a demo. Then, one of their guys came out, installed it and explained the system before leaving. Brian came out yesterday and made sure everything's working good. Now, the water's soft and everything's going along good for us.

We've had Kinetico for a long time. The last water softener we had, which was probably 23 years old, blew up inside so we had to replace it. Kinetico called me to set up an appointment and I told them what date was good for me. We set everything up with Jack and he’s very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. We got a whole new house unit and the installer did a very good job. I tried not to be around him too much or bug him because it was hot the day that he was doing it. Jack will then be coming out on Monday morning to try to look at it and make sure that everything is working good. Everybody was fine.

Since purchasing the Kinetico water system, my 3 daughters and I have been experience extreme loss of hair. I’ve had Kinetico come out twice and the representative told me that a lot of women complained about unruliness with her hair when using the Kinetico water system. Yes the water tastes great but not worth it!
Hi Sandra,
We are sorry to hear of your displeasure.
Water softeners are designed to remove calcium, magnesium and some dissolved iron from the water supply. They are tested and certified to meet NSF standards stating they do not impart any harmful materials into the water.
We cannot say what might be happening to your hair. Millions of people use these products with great satisfaction and having the hardness minerals removed to improve hair quality is often a selling point as there are no longer hardness minerals coating the hair.

We bought a water softener and a filtration system from Kinetico. We’ve always thought we needed a water softener. We just remodeled the house and while everything was new, we wanted to keep it that way. So, we became more seriously interested and then we called Kinetico because we heard they’re the best. Jack came and visited with us, and then called to come back. When we decided to do it again, he came back again just to make sure we got everything that we wanted correctly. A nice guy came and installed the system, and I like that he installed it with copper pipe and did a good job. Jack came back and checked on us again to make sure it was installed properly.
Our water feels better since we've had our system from Kinetico. We were concerned that it was gonna make us kinda slimy like the salt systems did, and it does not at all. Also, we’re kind of into coffee. We have an expensive coffeemaker and the filtration system has really helped with that because we get a lot of chlorine in our Tucson water. Overall, we paid for the best and we’re very happy with it. It’s well worth it.

We used to have a larger two-tank Kinetico system, which coursed through some 30-some years, built in our home back in Missouri in '87 and it is what I wanted here. However, we couldn't get it when we built the house. We were happy with the other system we got then, but when the old tank sprung a leak and ran out, Kinetico's full-house water softener was what we got. The sales rep we dealt with was a nice guy, and he did what he was supposed to do and he did it. They've made the system much more usable, and it is very small in comparison to what we had before. I was surprised at the little container for the salt pellets. It barely holds a whole bag of pellets, but it is nice. It is the best system available. We like it.

Kinetico came knocking on our door to test the water and then my wife and I said that we would get their system. We've had our first Kinetico water softener system for 20 years and when I called in to get a technician out, I spoke to the manager. He suggested that when they come out, we might want to consider the newer products they got now which use far less salt. He said that they would put a band-aid on it but if it rips off, then it's time. He was fantastic and so he definitely sold me on it when they came out.
The newer softener system went fluidly than the old one and the technician only had to make minor adjustments to the piping. About 2 months after the new system was installed, someone came out and tested it to make sure everything was going on right. He also spoke a little bit about the RO system, which I've been pushing my wife to get. She finally gave in and we got the RO system after that. We weren’t plumbed for any piping with the new RO and but the installation went smoothly too.
However, we had a little leak so I spoke to their repair department. The rep said that we had to wait 2 weeks for it to be fixed, which was unacceptable to me as that would mean shutting off my whole kitchen. So, we went back and forth and then I got a call from the technician named Joey. He was reaching out to me to make sure that everything was okay. I told him I got a leak in my RO system and he said that he was in the area so he would stop by. I also told him that I spoke to a rep who told me that a technician couldn't come out for two weeks and he said that he’d be the one to touch base with the rep.
In between that, the manager also called in and he okay-ed for Joey to come out. Joey wasn't the one who installed the RO, but he was the one that came out right away and made sure he was on top of everything. He was here for two minutes to fix the leak and he was fantastic. So except for the customer service I received at that time which I was upset with, Kinetico’s technicians are great.
Since using the new RO system, we don't buy bottled water anymore. We are already using the hydro flasks. I've noticed the difference as far as the taste. We also used to freeze up the water and when it starts thawing, it was first like a weird gooey instead of going straight back to the liquid. However, with the new water system, the water goes straight back to the water and better. The clarity is a lot clear and the ice cubes seem to come out a lot easier and faster from the automatic ice-dispenser.

My brother-in-law told me about Kinetico as he had used them previously. My water was hard and I called the Kinetico office in Phoenix and dealt with them. While the reps were good, we had some other issues. The person from Kinetico flooded my living room and he drilled the hole right smack in front of my house instead of using common sense and putting it over. I caught him at that. What's worse was that they didn't fix it. They just took pictures of it and I had to clean up the mess. Furthermore, I was upset that they don't take American Express. I'm paying close to five grand and that's the one card that I use for miles. They said it's on the website. I told them that I didn't go to their website and that I used the coupon that they put in the mail. Their sales guy never told me they didn't take American Express either. I was pretty ticked about that, because I would have gone to someone else. Still, after the system was installed, the water is almost too soft.
Hi Pamela,
We are sorry about your dissatisfaction with the American Express situation and the installation. We are confident that the dealer will want to make this hole situation right if they have not already.
As far as the softness level goes, there is no level of softness, only hardness. Once a softener has removed all the hardness minerals from the water, the softener is functioning as designed. Your dealer can assist with the installation of a blending valve if you would like some hardness added back in to the water.

At our old house in Gilbert, we had used the Eco Elite water system, so we already knew that we wanted a water system at our house here. Kinetico Water Systems was saying that if we'd use their water system, at no time will hard water go through our lines because of the regeneration that it does, and that sounded good. I was also reading about how people get clean drinking water, but they don't get clean water for their whole house. Then there was a paper that reported recently how chlorine gets into your skin every time you shower.
So, I got one of Kinetico's whole home systems which has double tanks and purifies the water throughout the house and I also got the reverse osmosis system. Setting up the appointment with them was easy. The rep, David, came over and went through the water test, even though I told him that he didn’t have to since I already knew that our water was crappy, but he said that we could find out how bad our water really was. So then we went all the way through the water test and we found out that the hardness level of our water was 12 or 13. The rep was really good and I had great interactions with him. He went above and beyond in doing his work, so I was very impressed with him.
We got the water system installed before we even moved in, but I already know that there's a difference in our water. The water that we had in Minnesota where we had lived for a year is softer and the water tastes good, while the water here in Arizona tastes like crap. When we first moved down here, we used Cal Seal soap in the shower, but we had used a bunch of this soap at that place, whereas here I just use a little dab and I'm good to go. I've already told people about Kinetico.

A couple of years ago, I had a guy from Kinetico come out and was not impressed by him. He went on this long presentation about the water softener and RO and I wasn’t at that time interested in a water softener. So, I purposely stopped all my correspondence with Kinetico at that point. And then I waited until last year to reopen my inquiry with all the water softener companies. I called Kinetico back and this time I was able to get a different sales person.
I bought a water softener and an RO system from Kinetico. I notice that the water is soft majority of the time which my previous water softener was doing. However, the way that it is cycled out before was a little bit different. I had it on our system a long time ago and I have been buying bottled water for the longest time. I still buy bottled water so I can give it to guests but it’s a lot easier to have an RO system. I’m trying to figure out the cost of the filters compared to the amount of money I’m spending in bottled water, but I think the actual filter is gonna end up being more expensive rather than me just buying cases of bottled water from Costco.
I’d tell others to shop around. I’m still trying to justify whether this extra money is worth it. My friend bought one for about a $1000 cheaper through a different company and I said “Okay, I’ll be the guinea pig and buy us the more expensive one and then let’s keep in touch and see how happy he is with his and how happy I am with mine and we’ll go from there.” He seems to be extremely happy with it. One thing that he has which Kinetico doesn’t is this little display that tells him how many gallons of reverse osmosis water he had left and also notifies him as to when he needs to put salt in there. Mine just tells me once it runs out, I change the filters. So, this seems a little old school to me.
As for the whole sales experience, the sales person was great. One thing that I felt a little uneasy about was I had received some solicitation in the past from home shows and maybe even something in the mail and something posted on the website that offered a discount. But when I inquired about the discount, they immediately dismissed it saying it was either I already applied to the proposal they gave me or was not valid and there wasn’t any disclaimers or anything on the discounts I received. So, it seemed very grey.

I purchased a water softener and a reverse osmosis system from Kinetico. I heard that Kinetico is a good company and I had a couple of recommendation. I just made the inquiries through the web page and I requested a quotation. I got the quotation, had a couple of discussions, and we fixed the price and then we set up the installation appointment. Since having the products from Kinetico installed, we have a good quality drinkable water and we feel a difference in our hair when we get a shower, wash dishes or glasses, and we have the option to cook our vegetables with good quality water.
Kinetico's products are not cheap but they're a good product. I was surprised when we had the appointment after everything was installed and the sales person told us that we do not have cold water in the kitchen sink through the system. And he gave us an explanation how the systems were installed so that nobody can really bypass the flow of the water coming into the house or to the kitchen. But, I didn’t get it completely and I was disappointed because that was mentioned only after everything was installed and not beforehand. So, it felt like they were skipping that information.

I had a softener where I lived before. I lived only 27 miles from where I live now in Florence, Arizona, and the water there is extremely hard. So, when I moved here to Casa Grande, I just assumed. I bought a new townhouse and I paid the extra 500 for them to put in the softener loop in my house so I can get a softener system. I was looking up softener systems and everybody was telling me about Kinetico. I bought the whole softener system from them and it does my whole unit.
Setting up the appointment was good. They told me they were gonna be out here on Thursday at 2, and they were here on Thursday at 2. They explained in great detail about the system and the different options, and that was good. My husband wasn’t home at the time and they wanted his driver’s license for the financing. So, I e-mailed them and for whatever reason, somebody forwarded us off to Mountain America, the financing people, but nobody at the Kinetico office got that information.
I like Kinetico's product. The only thing is there seemed to be a lot of confusion. I had first financed it and I paid that loan off. But, they kept wanting papers. I had the financing through Mountain America and they were good, too. I had a hard time paying them off but somebody got that organized. I didn’t know that they do share branching and that I could go to a credit union here and pay them off. I tried to pay off the financing online and it doesn’t do that. I owe them close to five grand and it wouldn’t take that amount of money. So, finally, when I went through and got customer service, and they told me where I could go to write a check. Other than the paperwork, the product itself is great. I don’t regret to have and got it.
Since I got the system, when I'm taking a shower, it feels like I’ve already put a body wash. My skin feels really slippery. The water is so soft. It already feels like there’s soap when I haven’t used soap. There is a difference. It’s a very good system. One of my neighbors in one of the older units got a softening loop, but they didn’t put an outlet by the softening loop, and at this time, nobody could put a softener in because there was no electricity there. But, I like that Kinetico doesn’t need that. I don’t use that outlet.

We bought this house a couple of years ago and it had a water system in it, but it wasn’t working. Having a water system was one of the things that we've been wanting to do. I wanted a better unit that didn’t take a lot of water and doesn’t take a lot of salt. We did some research on Kinetico and I bought the water softener and an RO system from them. I liked that their system didn’t have the timer and all the electric stuff on it.
The appointment with the people at Kinetico went very well. When the sales guy came out, he did a water test on the hardness of the water and then compared it to their drinking water. And then after the installation of their system, which went very well too, he came back two weeks later and retested the water. He made sure everything was working good. I was impressed with the whole process. It was quick as soon as he came out and did the demonstration, and we liked that. He scheduled for service which was supposed to be on a Friday but I told him that I work on Fridays, but Saturdays would work better for me. He then said that they'd have to see what they could do. They ended up making a Saturday appointment for me so I didn’t have to take time off of work for the installation. The technician that came out was great and he explained everything.
When we did our follow-up with the salesman, he re-explained everything. He came out and made sure the install was done properly and up to their standards. Since the purchase from Kinetico, the water feels a lot better and we can use less soap. We got rid of the water machine that we had, so we’re saving money with Kinetico's system. Also, we can drink water right out of the tap now. We have a little thing on the sink and they ran it to where it goes to the refrigerator, so we have good water in the refrigerator as well. If the power goes out, I have to worry about resetting the system since it winds off the water pressure. I put salt in it every couple of months and I'm good to go. Kinetico is great and their staff are very knowledgeable and we’ve talked to other people about them already. Also, I can buy the maintenance and it pays for the service calls when they have to come out and do anything. Once a year, I usually have to have that reverse osmosis filter changed. It’s about $100 so it’s not anything big, and it is just normal wear.
I’ve got the Kinetico system hooked up to my refrigerator and it makes ice, and I love the taste of the ice a whole lot better than it used to be. Also, I use the water that goes through the refrigerator. It’s cold and it tastes good. I definitely see a change in water quality that way. And with the water softener, I use less soap. The water is easier on my clothes and hair and it’s better for my skin. I was raised on a farm where we had nothing but hard well water and I thought well water was wonderful. But now that I’m on city water, I've got reverse osmosis filtered water to drink and I’m well pleased. I was married for 38 years and we had a unit all that time. Kinetico has been a good product and it has paid for its use.

We have a well that we get our water from and in our area, the water is very hard, so we needed a water softener. I asked the person that did the inspection before we bought the house what he’d recommend and he said that he loves his Kinetico. Kinetico’s rep came out and checked our water then made recommendations based on the testing. He was very professional, friendly, and wasn’t pushy at all. I’m very satisfied with Kinetico.

Since the water at three properties I have smelled funny, I've put in water filtration systems from Kinetico in. Their rep was excellent and I had a good experience setting up my appointments. I recommend this company.

I purchased a new home and the area inherently has hard water. I needed a water softener. I’ve known Kinetico for a number of years and it was so easy to set up an appointment with them. The rep who came out was very professional, courteous and great to deal with. The gentleman arrived promptly, knew his product line and knew how to administer the free water test. The installation was professionally done too. The installers arrived at the appointment as scheduled. Kinetico provides a good product as well as great service. I would definitely recommend Kinetico to a friend or family member.

The Kinetico office staff in Twin Falls is very nice and accommodating. If they're not available, they call back. When we've ordered things, they've come promptly. However, we wish they had a local office. They have to come down from Twin Falls, which is 165 miles away. And they come on a regular schedule every couple of weeks, so if we have a problem, we have to wait until they come.
We have the whole-house water softener and then we have a K5. The installers came at the appointed time, were in and out of the house pretty quickly and were efficient and pleasant. The hard water was damaging our bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and we were concerned about having good quality drinking water. Now our fixtures look better and the water tastes great. We have to exchange the water softener filter every six months or so, but everything's fine. We've been very happy with Kinetico. We're in the process of buying a new house, and we're gonna take everything with us.

The water in our area is 19 grains hard. We got a system from Kinetico and it softens the water up. Soft water tastes a little different than hard water. Overall, Kinetico water system is a good product.
