37 years ago, when we first moved into our house, we got a water softener and drinking water system from Kinetico. We wore that system out and I had somebody come out and service it. We took a water test and the service guy opened up our two big tanks. He found that it was a horrendous mess and our system was past due to be changed. He showed me everything that was going on and explained to me that my main cleaning tank was all gone. He told me that I had to replace them and I couldn't opt for a repair.
7 months ago, we replaced it with a new one also from Kinetico. Their representative came out and we talked. I was really impressed with the new upgrade of Kinetico's product because there was a little ultraviolet light in there that helps clean the water. The water passes through the ultraviolet light which takes all the impurities, bacteria and all the bad stuff out. It was excellent for me. They even gave us a great trade-in on what we had. I had purchased a case of new filters from a company up in Newark for my old unit before I found out that I had to replace it. Kinetico bought those back from me as well. Since the installation of our new system, our water has tasted good.

We live in a bad area for water, the worst in the state. I bought two Kinetico water softeners -- one for my daughter's house and one for my son's pad. I got one of the biggest offers for my son's place because his water was so bad that his wife was having an allergic reaction. The salesman was cool but I spent more time with the installer, who was very helpful. He's a country guy and he was really nice. He explained everything to me and told me what I needed. I didn't like the way the old installer set up was, but I like the new installer setup now. It's a little more expensive than some of the other softeners, but the new super filter system will really make a big difference. All in all, it was a good experience.

I wanted higher quality water and did my research. Here in Indiana, Kinetico seemed to be the highlight of the rankings and when I put a new house in, that’s the system I put in. In this new home I’ve had them for about 12 years now. I have both their RO system and their regular water system. Every couple of years, I have them come in to check my system, look at my filters and change them out if necessary. But the RO system is something that I can maintain myself on a yearly basis. I get very good service from Kinetico and they’re conveniently located for me if I need to go into their stores. This company met my expectations.

We live in New Mexico and people really don’t understand how bad the water is here. When I moved here in '85, the local people would joke and say, "Drink the water, it makes your teeth hard." The water is rough and people don’t like to drink the water as it is tough to drink. Now, Kinetico Water Systems is the most prominent in Las Cruces and I've known of them for 30 some years. I know their sales rep Alfredo through networking and we've talked. His demonstration was a 10 and he convinced me. He is fantastic and he needs to be filmed with that demonstration. He went over it so well and I talked about chlorine, the water hardness, and the cleanliness of the water. He showed examples and why all of our fixtures were crusting over with whatever hardness that it was. There's so much difference and he did a very thorough job.
I got a deluxe water softener filtration system and it's the soft water and the clean water and all for the home. Tony came for the installation and they had to dig out an area in front of my house which is covered with rock. Then when it was done, it looked better than when they started. I was a Boy Scout and I was taught to leave the area better than when I found it, and there's nothing that the installation team did that I would have done differently. They did a great job.
However, I've got an issue and they came out today. I'm losing water pressure to my backyard sprinklers and we found what the problem is, which is not the system. Tony came out, looked at it, and did a fantastic job. He had a gauge and he tested my house and the neighbor's house. In the front, there's 58 pounds of pressure which is normal for both houses. But when my sprinkler is on, it's only five pounds so I wasn't getting enough pressure. Also, there's a small leak in the house, which I agreed upon. I asked him questions and he convinced me. They gave me a solution that made sense to where I can direct the water directly to the sprinklers and bypass. So, their solution is cost effective and that's what I'm going to do. And I'm 110% happy with their system.
Now, for the last three days, all I've done is drink water and I haven't had anything else but straight water. It is smooth, it tastes good, and one can taste the difference. My skin is not dry anymore and my hair looks beautiful. Kinetico is a good company and their system is worth it. They've also made it affordable and I've made my first payment already. All in all, I really think every house needs to have their system.

We had a Kinetico system before at a different house, and when we moved into another place, we bought the K5 system. The person that came out to look at what I needed was really good. He took care of the installation for us and did a really nice job. I was happy. Kinetico does a really nice job and I like the no electricity concept to it. I also really enjoyed the dual tank so we never run out of soft water.

I was at a point where I needed to replace my water softener. I liked the idea of the regeneration based on water usage rather than a pre-programmed timer. So, I purchased a water softener and filtration system from Kinetico. Since then, I’ve never had a problem with running out of soft water. There have been a couple of occasions that I had to call them about problems and they were very prompt in taking care of the situation.

We had well water that was terrible. I had three different people out to the house, telling me what they could offer. Kinetico had the only thing that they offered that would actually do what I needed to be done. They also gave me a demonstration and we went from there. They tested the water for free and did it at the house, and they also sent some stuff off and had to come back. The analysis was about the same, that the water was bad. I then purchased the one that pumped water from the well into the tank and purified and cleaned everything and then brought it back out. It is for a 6,000 square foot house.
The rep we dealt with was very highly knowledgeable. He knew what he was talking about and could explain everything. When the installation team came back it was like three days later, so it took them about half a day and they were done. Since having the system, the water has been better. The only issue that I had with it, since it had this tank system and it had its own pumping system to build up the pressure, is that if two people took a shower and I turned on our washing machine, we would run out of water until it goes back up. When it ran out water, it stops right in the middle of your shower. There is no warning system. So, you had to monitor what was going on before you decide to use a lot of water. Also, Kinetico is expensive as hell. It did what it was advertised to do, but I won't buy another one.

We've had a Kinetico since '08 when we built our home and we're happy with them. Moving parts break and Kinetico has no moving parts. Although the system is just 10 years old, we live in a high lime area so we replaced it. We set up an appointment with one quick call. The representative did water sampling and he tested the water. The system that we have was explained as well as the improvements in the new system, the cost, the terms and the installation. They were very professional. The installation team asked specifically how we wanted the pipes laid out on the wall and they did it exactly as requested. Since purchasing the entire new treatment system with the canisters in the garage, our water has been a little bit cleaner. Our experience was perfect.

I had a Kinetico water softener for about 15 years at a different location. We sold our house and we moved into an apartment for six months. Now, we're in a new home. During the six months that we were in the apartment, we did not have soft water and my wife was going crazy. We switched back a couple of weeks ago and had our new unit installed, and it's a world of difference. The water's pretty hard where we live in Las Cruces, so by having a water softener, you notice immediately. The biggest difference is the usage -- for example, when you shower, the bar soap and shampoo have so much more suds. Plus, you don't have to use near as much.

When we started building our house 27 years ago, we had a friend who had the Kinetico water system installed, so we went with Kinetico too. So, we already had the Kinetico water system and it was over 20 years old. But I didn’t want the drinking system and we've had some odor in our water. So, one weekend when I went over to buy filters for our old water system, I decided to have our water system upgraded. We got from Kinetico the K5 drinking water system and a whole new water softener, and we also got a separate tank that takes more of the odor out. We've had these Kinetico products since October and we now have water with better taste and flavor and which feels cleaner and softer. We're very pleased with Kinetico.

The tap water sucks and I got tired of buying a bunch of bottles of water so I got a Kinetico water system. My parents had it and then we were at one of these home show type of things. We got what we thought was a fair deal. The installation was just fantastic. And the water has been great since the install. Plus it's also cheaper.

We got Kinetico's water softener and its installation went smoothly and easily. We've had it for almost a year now and I feel cleaner. I notice it now when I go someplace else and they don’t have it. Also, my husband has really bad psoriasis and now it's pretty much gone.

Kinetico made a significant difference in our water quality and I would recommend it.

I paid $98 for Bill (The owner) to come out and give me an estimate to reinstall my unit after a kitchen remodel. After he left I looked down at my paperwork and there were no numbers or any of the things we discussed in writing. THE 98 DOLLARS IS FOR NOTHING. They come to your house to tell you how much it will cost to reinstall your unit. My unit will cost $450. All my basic plumbing is there. I bought this system 10 years ago. I have called and let them know I want an email for a written quote. I am not sure why I would pay $98 for a piece of yellow paper that vaguely says change unit. I want to know the cost and the details of everything and in writing.
I am seriously considering getting another brand name water filter. I was considering the water softener and updating my RO water filter. I called to request the written quote and Bill said he would email it to me. Fair enough. He may or may not. But who wants to chase around an estimate that you thought you paid $98 for. I expect an estimate in writing that includes numbers. After reading all the reviews on this page I am extremely wary of buying the 1300 unit with the trade in on my old unit. A huge part of me wants to do this BUT... I do not trust the company anymore.
Furthermore, I spoke to Ken a few months ago about upgrading the unit and he was extremely rude to me on the phone. I am a previous customer that spent nearly $1400 on my last unit and I am treated like trash. I really like Kinetico but this is the only place to get your unit serviced. It is very sad to treat people this way. I am very disappointed. They have been the only choice for our area and people have had to tolerate this treatment for many years. There are many bad reviews on Yelp and Google. Why is this the only option for Kinetico owners? We need competition. This is being run by a monopoly of unprofessional bullies. Thank you.

With the hard water I got at the house, I wanted to have a water softener ‘cause I've seen how one makes a difference. I got two small tanks and one big tank from Kinetico and the changes are good. I can tell when the salt is out of the water and it's completely different now. It's a good system where the water runs with the water flow and there's no electricity or gas. We’ve had it for five years now and it’s been working well. I recommend it.

Thanks for your recommendation, Inderpal!

We had hard water and Kinetico was recommended to us by someone we had contracted to do some work on our house. The reps were very knowledgeable and good at what they did. We told them that we wanted the system to get everything out of the water and they gave us that. We got a whole house filtration system plus the sink system at the kitchen, and the installation went perfect. The installers kept us updated as to what time they would be here and they were here when they said they were gonna be here. My water is a lot softer now and it doesn't leave lots of orange gunk all over everything or turn my hair green anymore. And with that, I would recommend Kinetico.

Otherwise, I’d still be with them. I now have a Culligan water softener.

I bought a house and nothing worked and the water smelled like sulfur. I had to have help with my water softener. I spent $3,000 there. Jonathan was the fellow who helped me. He came and tested my water, came back, got rid of some old stuff that I had. They did a good job and they were very accommodating and prompt. They came when they said they would. They did quick work and didn't make a mess. They were very courteous. They put on covers on their shoes when they came in the house. They made it work and that was it. It was very straightforward. They came back and checked the water after it was in and made sure I knew how to put the filters in. It was a very positive and wonderful experience. Somebody's done some good training. When we moved from Canal Winchester, we were in Fairfield Farms and we had a well and septic tank there. We had a problem there with iron, so we got a machine that took the iron out. But we left it when we sold it and moved here. There's a calcium problem here, so we got the water filtration system for the whole house from Kinetico Water Systems. I bought the Kinetico water systems for the whole house and for drinking, and the installation was very easy and quick. The installer was friendly and he seemed very knowledgeable. The area that we live in has really hard water and quite high chemical content, within health guidelines. But as far as we were concerned, from a county perspective, those aren't good enough for us. We've lived in our area now for almost four years and when we moved houses we decided we wanted to invest because we noticed that dishes were not getting cleaned because of the water quality. Our skin was dry on a regular basis and drinking water did not taste good. And so we decided we wanted to increase the quality of the water that was touching our bodies and dishes as well as prolong the life of appliances, from a sustainability standpoint.
I did some research on the internet to find out which providers were in my area. I even went out to the different water system websites by searching water services with my zip code and submitted the kind of contact-me type links on each website. A couple of the websites were harder to find in that area so it came down to who reached back out to me with the right kind of quotes. I knew a couple of companies I definitely didn’t want to use because of previous experiences. I talked to Kinetico on the phone and I told them I knew what I wanted. I didn’t want to hear a sales pitch so they came out, talked me through quickly what they had and then we moved forward from there.
Peacock Water Solutions' website submitted a quote to contact me because I didn’t know what kind of systems I needed and they're the expert in that. I had someone email me back saying that they have an agreement and a contact to get in touch with. So, I reached out to that contact and he offered to set up an appointment at our convenience. It was quick after that. He was in our house and talked us through everything we needed to know. We made our decision and went with the installation. So, from the time that I submitted "I want to contact a quote," from the website to having him at our house, it was a week or less. We purchased a drinking water filtration system from Kinetico Water Systems. It was their highest level of drinking filtration system and the basic lowest level water softener system.
The installation team was great. They sent two guys -- one to install the water filtration system for the drinking water and then the other focused on the water softener system. They had a bit of a challenge because of our unique situation with where our water supply was. But overall, it took them two hours or so through these systems and they kept me in the loop. They didn’t need my input on a lot of stuff. They just let me know if they hit any issues and what they were working on. They were very knowledgeable about the products and they would talk if I had questions. They got the job done. We've loved having the system.
My wife does her hair and it dries faster, and our dishes are cleaner as well as our drinking water. We drink way more water now and we've been very pleased with it. We feel better about what we're actually drinking too. The process was simple and straightforward, and it wasn’t a lot of salesman-type pressure at all. They supported me along the way. Even now, I send texts that I will have every now and then and will have questions that come up, and the rep responds almost immediately.

I’ve got a softener and the drinking water system from Kinetico. I've been using Kinetico for a long time and I've always been happy. Setting up an appointment with them was very easy. I've always had good luck. Their sales person was very professional and very knowledgeable. I ended up buying one unit and changing unit about two years into it. The one I have is the one that removes the chlorine from the water but I was curious why the guy didn't try to sell me the one with the better system first.
The new system is great though. The installation was fast and the installers were very professional. This was a new build home so I really never drink the water that's straight out of the tap. I always use the drinking system. I drink it every day and I cooked with it. Also, we've had a line run from the K5 to the ice maker. I've had it for 30 years and I've never had any problems with it. The drinking system was a bit more expensive than what you can buy commercially but I do like it. It's very easy to maintain and it works fine. The removal of the chlorine makes a big difference in the smell of the water. And it doesn't use electricity. So, that's what I tell people.

We're glad to read you're enjoying your water, Jeff. Thanks for sharing your experience with others.

I bought Kinetico's RO system by name recognition and I like the compactness of the system inside the house instead of having the filters exposed. But there were some glitches during the installation. Nobody checked to see that the line was hooked up to the refrigerator before they pressurized it so I had a cleanup. The installer broke or cracked the line that comes from the dishwasher to the disposal while he was trying to put things in there. I didn’t find out about that until I used the dishwasher a couple of days later with a leak all over the bottom of the brand new cabinets down there. I don’t think he knew that he busted it. I just went ahead and took care of it myself. Once I took out the air out of the system, it started working better than it did the first couple of days. I wasn’t quite sure if the water hammer that we experienced was going to be a permanent feature or not. That seemed to settle itself down after they pulled the air out.

Everything’s great with Kinetico and I love it. I heard about it from a salesman named Alfredo from El Paso from a Home & Garden Show in El Paso. I’ve always liked the idea of water softening and then he just explained in depth pretty much the benefits of it. I liked everything about what it’s able to do. It seemed like we had a lot of chlorine in the water higher than what the gentleman had seen. He just explained that we’re probably closer to one of those water towers.
The installation came in and got it done really fast and efficient. And I could tell like when we take showers it’s a lot better. We also got the Osmosis drinking water. I like telling the joke that I got the cleanest water in El Paso all the time. I’ve already recommended Kinetico to many people. I tell them what a great product they have. And some people came back and they were like, "Well, it's hard to wash your hands or get the soap off." And I’m like, “Well, you gotta really try it because it’s really not difficult."

My daughter felt that my water wasn’t healthy. She has a reverse osmosis and she wanted me to get it, too. I was visiting a friend in a senior living establishment and there were different groups of people sitting at different tables from different organizations. Kinetico was one of them and I talked to them. I received the card of the person and then I called and made an appointment later. The sales rep was good and everything went well with the installation. They put the reverse osmosis system under my kitchen sink. I had hoped it could go into my refrigerator but they said the refrigerator was too far. I've had the system for about five years now. The water tastes good and I use it for cooking or drinking. Kinetico comes about once a year and put new filter in it but they want to come too early to put the filter in and I could wait another several months.
Other than that I've told someone about Kinetico. She had gotten a new countertop and she was afraid that getting the reverse osmosis installed would mess up her new countertop when they make the hole for the water faucet. I said that they did a really good job with mine and they were very careful. I told her she could come and look at mine if she wanted.

We bought a brand new house. Our old house had terrible water stains because our hard water is very high. And we just wanted to do a pure water and water softener. So, I did research, found Kinetico online, and called them and made the appointment. And they came out and did their thing. We bought the whole-house water softener and the reverse osmosis from them. The reps were all very nice and very knowledgeable. I had questions as far as what my water quality actually was. And the rep tested that for us and showed us where we are as far as on the scale, what's considered really good and what's considered really bad.
The technician was very good as well. It was a chaotic day. We had him there on the very first day that we took possession of the house. So, we had a bunch of movers in and out. And he was in the basement and did his thing. And it went very smoothly. He was also very polite. We have the hardest water in Ohio and there's still hard water spots on the sinks, on the counters of the glass shower door. But it's easier to take a shower, the soap lathers up better. And we just had an overall good experience with Kinetico, so I'd highly recommend them.

I told Kinetico I needed a water softener and I was sold on this product. And one thing was he took the old one out and that was a great thing for me to have it removed. And the one that we have now is sufficient for the two of us and it's very adequate. It's also easier for me to put salt in it because it’s not as high as our larger one. The only problem I had just recently was I needed salt and I could buy salt from the company but I needed someone to take it down the basement. So, I went and purchased it myself, opened it, pulled it out in the garage and got my grandson to carry the salt down the basement.

We had a Kinetico water softener when I was growing up. I also used to work at Kinetico. We had an RO but a very old one, so we updated to the K5. And the experience was great. I live down the road from their retail store. I walked in the retail store, talked to a salesman for a little bit, they set up the appointment right then and called me with a reminder. The rep was very professional and answered all my questions. The installer came in, left it cleaner than it was before he got here, in and out, and suggested a change in plumbing for us. He was just very helpful and very professional.
The K5 is just great, it has much more pressure. We were having some minor difficulties with the other one. Kinetico might be a little more expensive, but sometimes you pay for what you get. And Kinetico is the prime example. You may pay a couple of dollars more, but you're definitely getting the better product, warranty, and the service behind it.

My mother had Kinetico installed years ago at their home. We were also at a home show and we liked that Kinetico recycled as what was needed rather than at a certain time every night. That was of interest to me as we have various people here or not here. So, that was what worked for us. We purchased the water softener and the drinking station from them. And the experience was all very positive, very helpful, and not overbearing by any means, but leading us really where we wanted to go which was to get a new system. And then when they came out everything was very professional and they were also very professional to me and included me in the directions, making sure that the spouse was made aware of things, not just my husband. I’ve been totally happy with Kinetico and it’s what I wanted it to be which was why I switched water softeners. And anytime we’ve needed any repairs, they’ve been Johnny-on-the-spot and did everything just right.

There's very hard water here in the area. Also, it’s a new house that we’re dealing with and the refrigerator that we got for the new house didn't have a drinking water circuit on it. And so, we decided we'd get one for the sink. Kinetico was one of those that had the best option on Consumer Reports. And then, when we brought the rep out, it went great. We had some issues with where things are located in the house, and they did a really great job taking care of that with as little impact as possible. We did a reverse osmosis, softener and also a drinking station under our circuit. The water's completely different now. The hard water’s gone and everything's working really well.

Every faucet, water handles and sinks were encrusted with mineral deposits, and the water just tasted funny. I was over at Home Depot and one of the gentlemen that was connected with Kinetico was there offering free water tests. I had gone through a few of the other systems and one of the things I liked about Kinetico was that it wasn’t powered. There's no electricity to it which means that I don’t have to worry about something going wrong if I get a power failure. So, I purchased it.
The Kinetico gentleman came in and we had a fun time trying to find where we could put the water system in and hit the whole house. For some reason, when the house was built, water comes in from the street in front and goes all the way through the basement to the back before it bridges out because that's where the cutoff valve is also. So, if I get a broken pipe, I can't shut it off close to the front of the house as possible. It's only at the back of the house. But he did a really good job in getting it all set up. The only thing that I found out afterwards was that I got one of the last of this particular model. It doesn’t have the pre-filter station attached to it. Other than that, the water system has worked fine for me as well as the reverse osmosis. I got both of them at the same time.
Since then, when I shower, the shampoo and the soaps and everything suds up very nicely. They didn’t before so that tells me that the heart of the garbage is coming out of it. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to put some filter on it because the soft water is doing what it's supposed to do but I still have some lime deposits. They've moved their office space from one side of town to the other but other than that, I can get my softener and filters from them. They haven't disappeared on me. I've had that problem before with other systems wherein you buy something, and two years later, they're not around anymore. So far, I have recommended Kinetico. The people that I've talked to were looking for something but they didn’t really want to have to go with much money. But I pointed out to them that some of the things that they've got, that they've decided to go with is going to cost them more in the long.

Hi Sidney,

We got the reverse osmosis and the water treatment system from Kinetico. I just moved out here to New Mexico and I had a house built. I wanted to know what’s best for the house because I have hypertension so I needed something that gets the salt out of the water, that's for the reverse osmosis. And with the caking up of the water, I don’t want that to happen as well in showers and the water treatment system was recommended to me by the builder. He said Kinetico is one of the best.
I called their rep and the service was great. He immediately set up a date. We met him at the house and I went to their site as well. We talked and I felt very comfortable with him. The installation team was excellent. They put the system exactly where I wanted them to put it. Since then, the shower has been great. We stay so soft and my wife likes it. The service is great. However, I had an issue one time of calling in and the guy came right out and we got the wrong water thing. I broke the sink so we had to get the sink replaced. Their rep came right out and said, “Here, it’s working right as it should be working.” I figured it out so now everything’s fine. I would definitely recommend them.

I was moving into a house that didn't have a water softening system and I really didn't like the taste of the water. I'm a city girl and I did not know anything about well water. I just called Kinetico and Jonathan came and did a whole water test first. He said the water wasn't hard at all and it was just acidic. In order to fix that we have to add the calcium which will then probably harden the water. He walked us through three different treatment options and we picked one.
We got a water softening system and a system that incorporated calcium into our water. But at that point, we hadn't even moved in to the house yet. Two weeks later, the installer came and hooked everything up. It's been great ever since. The smell in the water is gone. It almost smelled like pennies have been soaking in water, before we got it treated. And it tastes really good. I'm hoping that the whole treating the acidity in it is helping our pipes 'cause that was what scared me and that was why we decided to definitely treat it. The guy told us what would happen to that actual pipes if we left it.
The installer also told me all the directions for how to clean up filters. But I was not paying 100% attention. So Jonathan came out for me when my husband was home and walked him through how to clean it all out. One time, we ran out of salt and I thought that the local store was going to be open on a Sunday but they weren't. All I did was text Jonathan and he called me right back, even on a Sunday. He told me where to go in the neighborhood and what kind of salt to get in the meantime until they open on Monday. He's fantastic. He always responds back and he never acts like it's a bother. He is always available to come in and test the water or tell me what kind of product I should buy. We've been very happy and I highly recommend Kinetico. They take care a lot of the local water treatment and they were very on top of what they were doing.

For my second purchase with Kinetico, I just contacted Kevin who I used previously. He came out, tested my water and told me what I needed, which was the same setup at my old house. It was really easy and at that time, they were running a promotion where they had the free RO system and I got that along with the whole house system.
We were in the new home for four days before they came out and installed it, and the team was awesome. They came in, explained how they were going to lay it out and approximately how long it was going to take, and did a phenomenal job. They also labeled everything and then they gave me a little bit of step-by-step on what I would need to do if something happened and then some things to look out for. What I like about the Kinetico Water Systems over it being non-electric was it's basically a four-set system. It’s also nice for them to have always been really good. If ever I had any questions when I go in there and buy filters, any of them have been phenomenal.

Our Culligan system needed to be replaced and my husband's colleague who had just previously purchased the same system told us about Kinetico. The rep sold the product well. He said we should never have any troubles with our water again. Also, the installation team was great. They were there for quite a while and they were able to answer questions and very knowledgeable. They walked my husband through everything.
The Culligan we had was from the previous owners and it was over 25 years old. We were just upgrading to make it more efficient and it had nothing to do with water hardness or softness. When my husband heard about this reverse osmosis, he thought that was the way to go, but it was just disappointing that we're having so many troubles with it. It is quite disappointing because we haven't even paid the system off yet. I warrantied that and thankfully, they're still honoring because they know we've had so many problems with it, but it's not what we thought we were signing up for. Our water has been worse. It's soft, and then it becomes hard. There's a high iron content some of the times when it comes. But Keegan, the sales guy, has been trying to make it work, and Jimmy, the guy that comes in and checked the system, has been doing a wonderful job. They're doing everything they can.
Right now, we have three bottles of water waiting for Jimmy to come and test. Sometimes it tastes like salt, sometimes it tastes like blood. What he said was it changes with the seasons if you're having troubles so that’s why it could go a long period of time. It was fine in the summer, then it was worst this winter. He's been out to our house several times. They're not quite sure why. The one time he came, our iron level was off the chart so then he tried and did things, and then the water got better. He switched the head out two times. He's very knowledgeable, and he's been very helpful in trying to accommodate it to make it work, but it's just frustrating. Around Christmas time, we went on a 10-day span where our water was hard and our hair was nasty hard when taking a shower. You can't even put a brush through it because it was so hard to manage.

Hi Denise,

Hard water is known around our area and we had hard water in our previous house. When we built a house, we looked into a water softener system. We heard about Kinetico Water Systems from calling the local water company, Culligan. It was very good setting up our appointment with Kinetico and we just went through the local agents. The rep met with us and he went over and tested the water. He was good in telling us what system we needed and which one would work best for us, and I told him to go for it. We got a water softener from Kinetico and it was a signature series type of thing.
Then Kinetico scheduled the installation. I met with the installers briefly at the house. They just happened to show up when I was there for another installation at the same time and I pointed to where the system was going, and they went from there. The installers met with my contractor and they put the system in there. Since our home was a new construction, we've had the Kinetico system there since day one and I never drank the water nor did anything without the Kinetico system there. We had a Culligan that was 18 years old and it stopped working. We started doing research and comparison shopping with companies, pricing them out and looking at what kind of warranty they had on them. And I kind of left the ones that only had a two or three year warranty or a five year warranty. We heard good word of mouth about Kinetico. We have friends who have Kinetico. One of the church members has Kinetico too. When I called Kinetico, the representative came out the next day, in the morning. It was an excellent turnaround time. It was less than 24 hours. Then the installation guy was in and out. He was here at about 12:00 noon and was done removing the old system and installing the new system, right at about two hours.
Since having the Premier water softener from Kinetico, the water was good. When we had to turn off the old system, immediately, within a couple of days, my water was getting hard. So, the Kinetico got us backed up and running. I like the fact that it has the dual tanks on it, the regeneration so that you're never without soft water, because when one tank is regenerating, the other tank still has soft water in it. I like the system better too because it is non-electric. So, I'm also saving money by not having it plugged into electricity. That is a great plus for us. We just had it in a few weeks but, we'll be using less salt as well. We are very pleased with the service overall. I was a realtor for 18 years and I still keep in contact with a lot of my old clients even though I'm no longer selling real estate. For the time I do a lot of referral work. And I would definitely refer other clients, family members and friends about Kinetico.

I just moved into this place and the well wasn’t doing very well. A guy from Kinetico came here to sell me the product and he was okay. I had them install the system for the well and the kitchen sink. But the people that installed the system screwed it up. When you do the initial installation, you should have everything done but I had them down here twice. They didn't do a shut-off valve through the big one so I can change my filter and we had to get them to come back out and do that one. Then, they put the sink thing in the wrong spot. It was somewhat a nightmare.
Also, the guy who sold me the product told me that I was financed, everything was fine, and it will cost me $63 for both of the units per month. That's why I agreed to everything. But when I got the systems in and the bill came, they can't finance me. I have pay rent-to-own now and I told him to take back the sink one. I really needed that one but I told him to take it back. And then they charged me for installation fees and all these other fees so, I have a bill with them. Also, I had to go to the office and sign another contract, so I had to drive out of my way whenever I got the chance. And now I got to call them every time I make a payment. The system itself is fine but with the way they screwed up everything, I won't refer them to anybody.

We had to have the technicians come out here about four times because the system kept seeping and running, but they got it straightened out. We had calcium build-up in the pipes in our new house. Our neighbors next door bought Kinetico Water System so we got Kinetico water softener too. It was a referral. We just called them and their rep came out. However, I was upset because they came in with this bottled water and they basically sell you on the system for softening your water. But they are not really upfront that your water is not gonna taste like the bottled water unless you spend another $2,500 and put in the osmosis system. We ended up putting in the system and the water still tasted terrible. They said, “You can’t do anything about that unless you do this.” I won’t refer Kinetico to anybody because of that.
The product works but it needs recharging. They said that we would only have to change the salt four times a year. And then we ran into a problem but their service people were very prompt. They came and they addressed the issues. But the serviceman said, “You’re going to need to do the salt every six weeks based on the consumption that you’re looking at.” But nobody told us that. And as soon as the system gets low, then the mold, mildew, and calcium start up all over. So compared to our old system, this one is cumbersome and definitely not a bang for your buck.

I wanted a market leader and the key features that distinguished Kinetico Water Systems from the others was the technology behind it. I made a bit of research and I know a bit the way it works. I liked the idea that it was not powered by electricity and I wanted that. It was more expensive but I thought in the long run it would be better.
Nick came to our home and gave me an overview. Looking at the family side, he gave me an idea of what kind of system I would be interested in. He made an effort to explain everything but I had gone through some of the specs on my own and I was already convinced before getting in touch with him. I purchased the water softener and a purifier, and the installer was great. He came in and made a very quick and neat installation. It only took a couple of hours to do all of them.
Right now, the purifier sits in the basement. It’s not under the sink and if Kinetico could add a wireless notification that tells us whether we need to change cartridges of salt, that would be great. There’s a couple of companies that actually do that. It’s a very useful thing because I hate going to the basement every now and then to check. And it’s pretty unpredictable. I ran out of salt a couple of times just because of the hassle of going in the basement to check it out. Also, I knew there was a premium for Kinetico and I was willing to pay that. It’s still high quality. But it’s a big premium and I had some serious thoughts whether it was worth going with it or not. If they could lower the price just a bit, there will be no competition for me. It would be a no-brainer.
Still, I would definitely recommend Kinetico to a friend. I've noticed a big difference in the drinking water because of the purifier. I have a cartridge for adding some salts for taste and the water is great to drink. From the softener, I noticed the difference when I ran out of salt which happened a couple of times. In the dishwasher, there were some stains from hard water.

We just built a new house and we knew our water was hard. I had Kinetico products before so I got from them an RO and softener. It was a very good experience overall with Kinetico, from setting up appointments to the salesman that came to our house. Then the installation team was very courteous and kind. They cleaned up after themselves and did an excellent job. Since having Kinetico, we could feel the difference when we get out of the shower. We're very satisfied with them.

Hi Roger,
Thanks for making Kinetico your continued choice for water treatment.

I'm on a well and the water is horrible. I talked over things with a couple of my neighbors and went from there. I then bought a whole house reverse osmosis system from Kinetico, which is the company they recommended. The rep I dealt with lives close by and I ran into him two weeks ago. He has since switched territories with another member of the company and they are both very good. The filters need to be changed every six months, and I do it. It is incredibly easy for anyone -- you turn a switch, a quarter turn, and then you unscrew the filter housing, pull it out, clean it, and then put a new one in. It is a five-minute task and chore. Since using Kinetico, our water has been better than drinking Fiji Water.
Also, they offer other services outside of just the water system in my house. We even have this stuff for a shock in my well and they are kind enough to go over to my neighbors adjacent to me that really did not understand their water system. They explained it to them, and they also purchased some of the equipment. So, they went the extra step to take care of them. They do good work, and they are professional. They actually use the system here in my house as a model for other people that have gotten or requested the whole house RO because I designed out an area to build it out in where it looks like a small water treatment facility. Their salesman uses our house as a test case for others.

Kinetico has a great reputation and my company used to make parts for them, so I knew they were good. I also have a friend that has put many filtration systems in on Kelleys Island and he swears by them. John, the sales guy that came out, was great. He was very knowledgeable and he wasn’t real pushy. They also did a free water test. I got their topnotch unit, and the guy that came in and installed it was here for five or six hours. He went through how to change the filters and how to shut it down. He took all the old stuff too, so that was nice. Now the difference in our water is night and day. Everything went smooth and Kinetico was phenomenal to work with. They're a little pricey, but that’s what you get when you get a good system.

Our company got a Kinetico unit a long time ago so I decided to use their water treatment system based from my experience. Their reps and installers have been very responsive, helpful and friendly. They came out to my house when necessary. We have a well so I wanted to use the chlorine so we didn’t have to deal with shocking the well all the time and then the filtration just to get clean pure tap water from the sink. I just wanted to have clean water. So I got the unit that filters the water. I also got the one that maintains the filtration for the basement. It puts the water in a chlorine tank to sanitize the water. Since having them, our water has been really good.

We always had a water softener and our old one conked out. We had Kinetico when we lived out in Washington, so we went back to them for a water softener and reverse osmosis. It had been about a year since they came out and installed it and they were great. The young kid, who apparently was a licensed plumber, made it out here during a snow storm and had the products installed. I bought a bronze fixture, but it came with a chrome fixture. When I asked the installer if he would put the bronze fixture, he said no, so my husband put it in. Other than that, We got soft water again and I just loved the reverse osmosis. Also, their product saves salt and recycles it. I was a little grumpy about the installer, but we had always recommended Kinetico.

We have well water at our house and my husband knew I bought bottled water so he didn’t want me to have to. We needed to get our water cleaned and we knew what we were getting. The Kinetico representative just reiterated all the stuff about it. Before we had Kinetico, my hair always felt like straw. We had a softener before but it still didn’t do it for me. I could always tell when our water was going bad. My hair was bad although it wasn’t as bad as some well water does to people’s hair. But we like what we have in our house now and we would recommend Kinetico. We have both the Kinetico water softener and the drinking water systems. Somebody came back to check it to make sure that it passed all the tests of doing what it was supposed to. I also had somebody come back separately and do the mineral test.

My wife and I recently moved from Ohio to Florida. In Ohio we had a reverse osmosis system and preferred it to bottle water. So after tasting Florida water we noticed a not very pleasing after taste. So after speaking with another company we contacted Kinetico in Venice, Fl. The office staff were very nice and scheduled an appointment with Rick ** who came to the house and explained the Kinetico water system. He was very thorough with explaining the water system. He was able to schedule the installation on the following Sunday. Since the installation there is no more after taste and the water is very refreshing. Our skin is much softer. The office staff has even called and checked to see how everything has been since installation. The young man who installed the system was very pleasant and kept everything clean as he drilled through the granite countertop. My wife and I are very satisfied with the system and all the staff couldn't be any nicer.

Our well has terrible iron and we had red stains. We looked into Kinetico and Luminous Water and they had good reputations. So went ahead and got a whole house water softener unit. Our salesman was fantastic and he did a presentation and few water testing. It was also pretty simple to set up the appointment. They worked to our schedule when we'd be home for the most part. And it was pretty painless, other than just the cost. The installers were here for a few hours and it was pretty flawless. They showed us how to do everything and service it. It's been very nice. We've had Kinetico for two years now and it's kind of maintenance-free. We just monitor the salt levels and put some iron conditioner in the salt. It flushes itself and it has a resin tank. It takes care of itself. Overall, it's well worth the price, especially if you have water as bad as we did.

Four years ago ago, I purchased the water softener and the purified water through RO from Kinetico. My previous system was on its last leg and the way that Kinetico's system was no power was cool. It worked really well too. I liked the two-tank and I got four tanks so it's always making sure we have plenty of soft water. We went from really hard water to soft, plus the water is a lot softer now compared to when we had our other softener. My experience with Kinetico was all positive as well, especially with the RO people. They were very willing to help me do whatever I needed to do. The maintenance is easy too. All I do is put that chemical in it every six months. And the system is very cost-effective in the long run.

We got a drinking water system from Kinetico and the experience with them was great. We had moved in here a little over three years ago and the water was disgusting. A friend's uncle worked for Kinetico years ago and she told me that I need to get an RO System. I was like, “What’s that?” Then she was like, “Just call Kinetico Water” and that’s what we did. We called them and they were out here the next day checking our water. They tested it and they said it was bad. The representative had his little science kit and he set it up, then tested everything. He did a teabag test with us. He was very friendly and nice.
Before we got the water system we were buying gallons of water and bottled water for the first six months that we lived here. I wouldn’t even make coffee with the water here and it’s very expensive to purchase water. I’ve had a couple of people ask about Culligan and we tell them to go with Kinetico because they’re very friendly. And now a lot of people in our neighborhood keep putting on the neighborhood Facebook site about it and we’ve referred a couple of people and they’ve gotten a house system.

Wow Tracy! This is great to read! A neighborhood facebook page is wonderful idea. Be certain to stay informed on what is happening in the world of water and keeping your neighbors aware.

I didn’t purchase the house until everything was good so it was already done before I got in there and it quit on me within two weeks that I was in the house. The rep explained a little bit to me because whoever put them in actually put them in backwards and then it clogged up. So, he switched them and put a new one in for me and then said I had to change them every year and it’s been good so far.

Everything went smooth with the installation. They’ve continued to this day sending me emails if they have specials or sales. The staff was all friendly and I love the fact that they put on a little picnic barbecue there this year. It was a very great idea. And you could go in and win prices, so that was really awesome.
I live out in the country and the well-water wasn’t too bad here. But I figured it would be a good idea to at least get the K5 system. And I just bought the house a couple of years ago and the hot water tank was starting to rust out. I thought it would be a good incentive and it would be a good selling factor when I sell the home. I bought the water softener package with the K5 drinking station.
I like the fact that it was not electrical. And everything works on the timer-type basis. When I thought I was having trouble with it, I called them up. They came out, looked it over, tore it apart, and said, “No, everything seems fine.” I’m happy with their service and installation. And before I had the system, the water drinking system, every month and a half, the clean light of my coffeepot would come on, “Clean the coffeepot.” Now, since I have the K5 system, it never needs cleaned. I also have that set up for my icing water in my refrigerator. I noticed a big difference. It definitely makes a difference as far as like washing clothes. In having the water softener filtration system, I don't get rusts in the toilets anymore, limescale build-up, so it keeps pipes clean. The only drawback I personally saw was it was costly. But it does work and it is a good system.

He explained how to change the filters when they were due. Once we had the system installed, the clothes were cleaner. We had them back in though. My in-laws researched the Kinetico Water Systems and put one in their house. And they decided to buy us one for Christmas because our water softener was old and cheap. It worked but it wasn't nearly as good as the water softener from Kinetico. It works automatically and it's a passive system. We just have to check the salt and throw it in. There are no mechanical parts to it and it can't really break. It's easy to use.
With our water softener, my skin is much softer especially in the winter where I have very dry skin. I went to the pool last week and I noticed that the pool water was generally pretty soft but it was not nearly soft as our water. After getting out of the shower, my skin was really dry and I realized it was because of the water. The water I drink and cook with is through reverse osmosis that we in our kitchen. The cleaning is better with our water. I don't have to use quite as much soap in the laundry and my dishes come out nice.

Setting up an appointment with them was easy and their rep who came out was excellent. He was very smooth, very thorough, and he knew the business very well
The installers were also very good but there was only one slight problem. I had a two-inch water line and my agreement with the salesman was that I wanted to increase the size back to the correct water pipe size. But the installers installed the wrong pipe. So they eventually came back out within a month to correct it, which was very good. Since then, my water has been excellent. I now have the double tank system versus the single tank system. We purchased the Kinetico water softener and the drinking station. We had one in our old house 25 years ago or more and we liked it and I like the fact that it doesn’t use electric. So, we bought another one when we built a new house. Everything went well. Their installers came out, put the system in but they said they would come back and hook up the line to the icemaker in the refrigerator and our drinking station. So when they got it all done and everything was tiled and ready to go, the guy didn’t leave the fountainhead. They had some in their truck but they weren’t the color we wanted, so we thought, “Well, that’s fine.” He says, “We’ll just make an appointment. We’ll come and get that in.” I said, “All right.”
We waited and waited in here. On Kinetico's end, they were waiting until they had a service call in our area instead of just sending the guy up to do it. I had the hole drilled in the counter so when he got here, all he had to do is put it in. He wasn’t here fifteen minutes. We bought and paid for our system upfront and we had to wait until they had a service call in the area to come, which ticked us off. But then they came and put it in. And now everything is good and it works and we’re happy. Kinetico is good. I would recommend them.

My water tasted and smelled bad. It was gross and I cannot stand stinky water. We had a Culligan and it was awful. I felt that they lied about absolutely everything. It cost me four grand and lasted less than six months before the nasty stuff was back. Then my daughter bought us an Aquasana system and it lasted exactly a year then it quit. It worked really well with them, but I’m not sure they had the amount of rust and chemical crap we have out our way. I did a little research and Kinetico was the only company that I knew that had presence nationwide. Then, I heard Woody, one of the DJs, talk about it on the radio and how he gets Kinetico in every house he moves into. He seemed to care for it.
In my research, I also found out that Kinetico would actually come out, look at other systems and repair them if they could. Maybe that’s the way they get their foot in the door. So when I called them, it was actually more of a service call for that terrible Aquasana system. I had to start feeling that they're honest though. Somebody called me back and got us scheduled the next day. He went through the other system with me and he told me what it was doing and what he could do to probably take care of it. But I was so mad at the Aquasana system at that point. We would have to exchange tanks with some company that’s in California and the tanks were huge. They were not little things that you can just put in your car. It would take some doing to get them back and forth. I told the Kinetico person to forget it and asked what he could fix me up with.
They showed me something and I thought we would give it a shot. I also liked that there’s this fantastic warranty for 10 years and I have talked to people who have had them come out when their systems are old and take care of things, and I thought I have to do it and I have to try it. That little guy came in for the installation but he never said a word. I think I scared him a couple of times ‘cause I didn’t hear anything and I went to check on him to make sure he was breathing. But he was so fast, efficient and so darn polite. It was incredible. It was a good experience all around.
The only thing that was a bit confusing was when I initially called, I thought that I was calling our Canal Winchester area office but I ended up in Indiana but I don’t know how. Everything on the website said Canal Winchester. Then when I thought that I smelled that smell in the hot water again, I was freaking out and I called. Again, I thought I was calling the Canal Winchester office and I got Indiana. But the sales manager made an appointment the next day and I have his card and his cellphone number now so I know who I can call.
We have big black tanks and although I haven't had the system for a month yet, it has been wonderful. It has helped and I'm happy. I noticed that you get sudsy. You’re not stripped of all of the oils in your skin when you take a bath. Your hair’s not brittle and you’re not greasy. Your skin feels good and you're not all itchy when you get out of the water. I honestly believe that my clothes look better too. Before, everything in the house stunk. It smelled like nasty water and I don't feel that way anymore.
Also, when I clean my kitchen, the water doesn’t leave some residue or streak. So I've been very pleased with that. This morning, I got the water thing that you have in the sink. I noticed that the little popup thing on it was almost at the top. I couldn't believe I've used 500 gallons of water already. But it’s possible. Or my water could have just been stinking bad that it could be full. Still, I might have them come out to check that. Nonetheless, people need to go with the Kinetico system, especially for those who live out in my area and are having some issues.

I recently purchased this property that has two homes on it. I went with a water softener system that has been in my home. We were told right upfront that it didn't work and it will be exchanged. We live out in a country with a well, and definitely had to have help with that. I went with a local guy whose mother I had known and figured he could be a good deal. He's been working in this area for years and years, so I figured he knew what needed to be done and he would hook me up with a system.
It didn't work well, though. The system did not soften as frequently as needed to. It has some kind of computer system that was based on how many gallons were used. But the water here is so hard that whatever that conventional wisdom was wasn't right, and they could never get that adjusted. He did not suggest an iron filter though, and the iron count on here is so high that immediately, you could see it in the appliances. My bathroom stall went from being white to orange. As for my clothes, I don't have any whites left. Everything is cream. Some things had black splots on it, and sometimes there were red stains on white sheets. He couldn't seem to figure out what the problem was which just amazes me. He's been in the business out here for probably four years.
I became friends with a plumbing guy, and he said he very much recommended Kinetico, that they were about the only ones out here that ever seem to be able to get it right. I also talked to my brother and sister-in-law who lives south at Grove City, which also had well water. They also recommended Kinetico, and also that I probably need the iron filter, at which the water goes through before anything else. Because my kids were living in the other house here on the property and we're in the process of putting in a bathroom and kitchen and laundry for them, I went ahead and bought a system for each of them. I am now very much in debt, but at least I have decent water. I purchased a triple system: an iron filter, water softener, and RO.
The installation team was professional, polite, responsive, and appropriately dressed. They were respectful of our property and our time. The system had to be put in my home on a lower level. When we were having work done over there, we called and asked them to come back and move the equipment because they had partially installed part of it over a drain. It had to be adjusted and moved, and also because the space was so small, we needed a smaller self-receptacle than the standard just to make it fit. They came out and did it for us.
The only somewhat negative part of the experience was when I'm buying two systems, it was at $14000. It's kind of like buying a subcompact car. They said "We can get you on this thing with Home Depot. As long as you pay for it there's no interest." I was like "That's great," and so I did. But what I didn't quite understand is it's only for a certain amount of time. When I got the things from Home Depot as far as the payment, it wasn't going to pay it off in that amount of time. It was like a $140 for a payment but it's $14000 that I've got to pay off. My son pointed it out. I said I'm making the payment, and he said "That's not going to pay it off in two years. I'm pretty sure it has to be paid off in two years and then you start paying interest." The length of finance time wasn't explained as well as it should be and that could us a little work. I'm usually pretty astute, but I'm still in sticker shock.
But I have soft water now, especially with the iron filter. We've been using so much iron which is still hard on our stuff. It felt like we were in the Bates Motel where somebody was murdered in the shower, so we had to use iron out on it at least weekly to keep it from being that. Since we cleaned it up, we've had to clean the bathroom like a bathroom, not like a murder scene.
It was the same way like in the back of our toilet. The iron had collected to the side of the tank and it was black. When you flush the toilet, you would get black water. We'd have to put iron out in the back of that and clean that out, but that isn't happening anymore. I am sure this is much better on my pipes and appliances. The good thing is I have had them set up the water line that went to my ice maker. I had them put all of our system in to begin with and had that pipe to the icemaker. The RO system seem to be doing okay, too. Even that is better than what I had initially. The water tastes better and it's softening at the appropriate time.

Kinetico does a great job. My good friend is the manager of the Kinetico dealership here, so when I purchased my new home, I called him, and told him this is what I need and what I want, and he sent out a guy out and then they installed the system. As a consumer, I do like the idea that the product is not electric and it recycles on its own, on demand when it needs to be. So, even if my good friend wasn't the manager, I would still have purchased the reverse osmosis system and the water softener. It was a good experience and I'd recommend anyone to buy their products.

I got one of Kinetico's filtration systems. It's an auto-refresh on the water system. It's a low maintenance system with a very good return on your investment for the long term. They're way more expensive than others but I didn’t want a system that I had to do a lot of maintenance and repair on over the years. The house that I purchased had a Kinetico Water System on it and it was 33 years old so we decided to replace it with another one. It wasn’t filtering the water properly anymore. The tank needed recharge.
The sales rep of Kinetico, who was a neighbor of mine, was very friendly, very knowledgeable and prompt. He texted me back and forth so any concerns that I had, he answered. He set up all of the purchasing of it and then the company that installed it was there within a week to install it. He came for the free water test before changing the water system and it was informative. Plus the installation team were quick, quiet, in and out within an hour. Our water has been much better. There's no longer hard water issues with my shower. And the drinking water through the RO system is clear and really good so we like it. I would recommend it.

Hi Caleb,

Hard water concerns got me looking into water softeners and filtration systems. We're friends with people who had Kinetico Water Systems and we had Kinetico install a water treatment system for us too. Our system has got water softener and a filter system on for our whole house, so it's well set up. The installers were good and they explained stuff to me. I had the system put in the basement. Our water has been a lot nicer, softer, and better tasting since we had the system installed. It was a good deal that we had with Kinetico and I'd tell people to get the Kinetico water system.

I had dirt in my water. KInetico was referred by a friend of mine and I got the water softener and reverse osmosis from them. Setting up an appointment with them was pretty quick and I was happy with it. Their sales guy was awesome, very though with explaining about the water and its hardness, and did all the tests. Then, the installation team that came out did everything I needed them to do. In fact, they had to come back out and make a change to it, and they had no problem with that. Now we can actually use the water in the house and our appliances are loving it. Kinetico may not be the cheapest option, but their service so far has been great.

My previous water softener wasn't working anymore, and Kinetico was a local company. My friend also bought from them a month before I did. The reps at Kinetico explained all the different options and what would be best for me, in their opinion. They were able to get the product installed probably within a week after our meeting. There's definitely a difference compared to my old water softener. The one from Kinetico is providing a much softer water and doing a better job with the water.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Jeff. While there is no 'one size fits all' with Kinetico, there is a Kinetico for every home! Enjoy

We had a Kinetico whole house system installed then, and are as happy with it today as in the beginning. Kinetico’s technicians are as helpful as can be. Their response time to issues is exceptional. We built a house 11 and a half years ago and we needed a water softener because we had iron and we needed it to chlorinate the water lightly. We put in a water softener from Sears immediately and unfortunately it was put in backwards. We didn't realize it for six months. And then I contacted the Kinetico and they put in a proper softener. I have a good deal of confidence on their local people from Meadville. I bought a Kinetico water purifier that takes iron out of the water.
And then I was offered a chance to upgrade the quality of the softener. We had had it in for 10 years so we decided to do that and basically, upon the advice of the seller. I looked it up in the telephone book and that time I was looking at a number of companies. I'm usually fairly precise in my research. It includes having some degree of trust following the terrible experience I had with Sears. I had essentially actually interviewed people to find out what they know.
We had a young man at that time who's seemed to be a good engineer and not simply a laborer. Although I like the laborers there too. We also saw a Kinetico stand at a local fare, had a chance to talk to one there, too. I'm not a chemical engineer or a hydrologist so I really have to depend upon the good wisdom of people who work in that area and then if things didn't work or they're too expensive I'd go with somebody else.
We no longer have to use their chlorine pellets. We just use the salt and we have the ultraviolet lamp that purifies the water rather than using the pellets. I'm satisfied with the business. We're an elderly couple so we really rely on them more than we would before 20 years ago. I rely on them replacing the lamp and that kind of stuff and they're willing to do that. Their system is very pricey but I understand that we're out in the woods here and we have no connectability with the water system in the town so it's up to us to clean our own water.
I would recommend Kinetico. They seem to be particularly confident and flexible -- the system will work in a variety of conditions. We have a lot of Iron deposits in this area. We also have natural gas and probably oil underneath the soil here and that isn't particularly good for us. It's good for people who are going to dig out oil wells but not for our water. So we really need a system that's a little bit more versatile and we got it in Kinetico.

We've had our Kinetico system for under a year and we've had nothing but great experiences. I thought that the cost was a little bit high. However, in doing my research I found that Kinetico was considered the best brand. They have a great warranty. We plan on being in this house for many years, so I thought we should go ahead and go with the top brand.
Bonnie came in, did her presentation and we asked all the questions that we could think of. Then the installation crew came in a few days later to get the system set up. Everything was very professional, nice and quick. The installation guys were great and they talked Kinetico up a lot. The guy was like, “You know I’m not just talking them up a lot just because I’m an installer for them.” He was just saying that by reputation Kinetico Systems are the best. I work at a lot of different hospitals and I noticed that a lot of them have the industrial grade Kinetico System. I thought that was pretty cool. I’m happy with the product.
Once we got a chance to actually use the system and feel the difference we really could tell the way the water feels. We got a drinking system as well and I could tell the difference. We still sometimes buy bottled water and I’m trying to get out of that habit, but we’re loving the system and we have recommended it to four or five different people and at least two or three of them wound up getting it.
We tried to go with a different brand. It was a brand that they sold at Lowe’s and installation was included and the whole nine yards. It was funny because we went to Lowe’s, set an appointment, paid our deposit and they never called us to set the appointment. So, a month after we had gotten the Kinetico System they called us to set the appointment and my wife and I literally laughed at them because they were way too late.
I would tell friends to come over to the house so they could check the system out and see for themselves. One time we had a question come up then we had Bonnie come over to the house and then had our friend/neighbor come as well. They brought a bottle of their tap water with them so it could be tested. Also, there was a huge calcium build up on the heating elements in our hot water heater and we didn’t know what was going on. A plumber came out, did the repair and he was like, “You guys have hard water.” I took a picture of the calcium build up on the heating element and I show that to the people to say, “This is what hard water is doing to your major appliance. Not only will it degrade the life of your major appliance but think about the amount of calcium that you’re putting in your body and any other element."

My old water softener worked just fine and they talked me into this Kinetico. Kinetico came and worked on the old one because the old guy that had installed it died. So when they came and worked on it they reversed the lines and all the salt and rust came into the house. And I said, “Well, this is in worse shape than what the heck it was before we got it.”
Then when they came and put the Kinetico in and had my $7,000 one of them said, "Who hooked this up? It’s backwards. These lines are backwards.” I said, “You guys did. You guys came out and worked on it." I'm very dissatisfied with them. We have Kinetico's water clarifier and softener. We had trouble with our water all the time. It clutters up with rust and breaks all the plastic pieces and washers.
They set up an appointment and usually charge me a bundle. But the same problem always happens and I’ve had nothing but problems with it since I first got it. I had to buy a new head for it and it’s still the same thing. And I have no water pressure in my house. The systems don’t work right. And I tell people I wouldn’t get another one ever. I’m very dissatisfied with them. The other night we were out and this guy was talking to me that’s a plumber and stuff and he said, “Oh, yeah. I hate them.” He said, “I’ll come out and look at your water. I’m sure it’s that system.”

Hi Jackie,

We originally had a Kinetico system in our house but we were having issues with it. Then, the plumber came and said we needed a new water softener. Unfortunately, we went ahead and had them put one in. It was using a lot of salt, which was a ridiculous amount, so we knew that the other system worked better. Eventually, we went back to Kinetico and we now have their water system, the UV system, and the reverse osmosis system.
When we bought our Kinetico products, the rep we talked to was thorough and personable. He took care of our needs and expressed that we could call him if we had any concerns. He also gave us the names and numbers of anybody else that we might need to contact for any reason and we were very satisfied. Their installation team was also very good. The men were efficient, friendly, and cleaned up after they got the work done. Kinetico's water system is easier to use and the amount of salt we need to put in it is much less salt than the several bags that we had to put every month in our old system. However, while I was washing clothes today, I noticed that there was an odor with our water. We get our water from a a well and for some reason, every once in a while we get an odor through. So I need to check that out with Kinetico. Other than that, I would suggest to my friends to buy a Kinetico water system.

Hi Darlene,
Thanks for this feed back. Be certain when you check back with your rep regarding the odor that you note the faucets from which you notice the smell and if the odor is through the cold water, hot water or both.

I bought a water softener and reverse osmosis for drinking water. It was installed by a representative, a licensed plumber. Since then, the water's ten times better. It tastes better and a lot softer, so it suds up quite nicely. I would highly recommend Kinetico. It's a bit more expensive than most, but definitely worth the money.

We have Kinetico reverse osmosis water system and water softener. We had a heavy iron content and a sulfurous odor where we live. I put up with that water for many many years and we reached a point where I had lost my job and I had to use up my retirement money in order to get medical help. I decided to upgrade so we had put a roof on the house and we did many interior upgrades. And one of the things I decided to upgrade was the water system. I looked around online extensively before our purchase and I felt the Kinetico was the best option as far as salt consumption, electric use, which doesn't use any electricity, and the drinking water quality. And with all those things considered, it was worth the expense.
However, the reverse osmosis this water system uses is dedicated filters and the only source of those filters is through Kinetico. Almost everything else that we buy we can find cheaper options online, but not with those filters. Nonetheless, if I wish to buy bottled water instead of using that system, I would no doubt have spent as much or more. And I'm getting much better quality water than I would out of a bottle.
My interaction with their installation team was flawless. Everybody was very polite and they were in and out in a very quick and professional manner. We now have no odor and no flavor in our water. We pre-bottle from our Kinetico tap and we keep it in the fridge. The taste is so much better than the bottled water. Also, my salt consumption is really minimal. With just two people here using the system, that's all of our laundry, showers and everything, we only go through about three bags of salt a year, which is really good.

I talked to them and they were out the next day to install it. We recently purchased a water softening system from Kinetico. Plus, we have a reverse osmosis. I had an uncle of mine that just got a Kinetico system installed and his son got one installed, so I decided to give them a call.
We got the water softener and a RO system with a 20-inch pre-filter and Kinetico was a great company to work with. John was prompt and he came out around 6 or 7 o'clock at night to come close the system. I called them back the next day and got it set up for service and had it installed. Great install, zero issues, and it was all within a day or two. John is going to come out and retest the water for the system to make sure their system is working.
The drinking water is fantastic and I've noticed less Calcium build up on my shower heads and faucets. But the first time we did the water test with Kinetico, they just wanted to throw me a system. Also, the first salesman was very degrading towards women and my wife wouldn't want him back in my house. For a $7000-purchase, their people should be kissing her butt and not making her feel stupid.
I initially just had the water softener, the water filtration system. But that burned up and was no good because of the water supply. Come to find out they shouldn't have put that one on there. But the second round was great. Kinetico stood behind their product. They fixed and walked me through everything. They explained how to change out the filters and do all that fun stuff. They had to put in a complete chlorination system and they rebuilt the water softener system to fix the problem.
I went that route because Kinetico is supposed to be the top and they are a premium brand. Now our water is better than the city water. People should go with Kinetico. When we had our humidifier checked, it had calcium deposits in it and our guy recommended that we look into a softener. He also recommended Kinetico. I have used him for years upon years so I trust his judgment and I did not even look at other products. So we then got the whole house softener and dechlorinator from Kinetico. Setting up the appointment with them was fine. Chaz came by and talked to me about the system and then scheduled the installation. The tech took care of everything.
Then I spoke with the rep and ended up bumping the system up then to the next level after we had tried it for a couple of weeks. We only had it on the hot water, not on the cold water, so then we had them install the larger system. The installation team was wonderful. Since using the system, the water definitely feels softer, but I can't say I really like soft water. Also, when we turn our water like when we first turned it on, we get a lot of sudsing which I couldn't say that I really liked but I have a call-in to Chaz to see why that was happening. Nevertheless, if it keeps out toilet from breaking, our humidifier working, then I'm all for it. We've been very pleased with the customer service and I'm very happy with it.

Shawn's service was great and he was able to diagnose the issue and walk me through the steps to resolve it. Much appreciated. One suggestion though - at the end - perform a double check that everything is turned back on and operating. We have 4 lines running from the reverse osmosis tank and to diagnose the issue - we needed to shut 3 of them off. Those three weren't turned back on after the work was completed. Not a huge deal - I was able to see it right away once we noticed no water at those outlets. However, it may result in another return trip if the owner didn't know what to look for when their other valves didn't have water. More of a process improvement comment. Thanks again!

I scheduled an appointment and they came and explained everything to us. We had a free water test. The rep tested the water in front of us. It has a lot of chemical in the water from the sink. He showed us the difference between the water we have right and after we installed it. There was a big difference. The water feels very soft and tastes better too. It works really good. Quite a few years back, Kinetico came out and installed an R/O system in my kitchen so I could have purified water for drinking and cooking. What a great investment that turned out to be! I don't have to buy bottled water anymore and I can actually use the ice that comes out of my automatic ice maker in my freezer. My pets drink the R/O water as well instead of bottled water.
Not only does Kinetico have a great product, but their office staff and service technicians are polite, professional and always helpful. The last time that the R/O system needed some routine maintenance, I just couldn't help but noticing how efficient and courteous the young man that Kinetico sent out was! He even took off his shoes so he wouldn't track mud on my floors! The system is under the kitchen sink and he had to remove all my bottles of cleaning supplies to get to it. When he was done, he actually put everything back where he found it! How often do you see that? I would highly recommend the Kinetico R/O system to anyone who wishes they could ditch the bottled water and be able to actually drink a glass of ice water with ice from their freezer and water from their sink.

I had Kinetico when I was in the city. I moved in November 1st. And in the latter part of November or first part of December, I had the system installed in my current place. I have my own well. Before, there was no water softener here. I have outside faucets on both sides of the house. So when they hooked it up, they hooked it up so that if I wanted to run either one of the outside faucets, it's going to be soft water which I'm just working the system where it shouldn't be. What it should be is just going right from the pump right out to the outside.
Kinetico hooked the system up wrong. I had a plumber come in here to fix up a leak in the pipe. He looked at it and he said "Pardon me." He said "What was the guy thinking when he hooked this up?" He said "You're going to run soft water your outside outlet. You shouldn't do that." He said that what they normally do is they run soft water inside and the outside faucets are just plain right off of the pump. So if I wanted to water my grass for a couple of hours or so, it's going to be soft water. And then the thing is going to be running. So I have to change the filters or whatever I have going on. And there was another filter which was just left on there. So I'm filtering the water twice. And I have not contacted Kinetico about the problem. If I contact them, they might say if I want it corrected, I'm going to pay to have the plumber come out and fix it. I run into this before and I don't want to go through hassle and the crap that goes with it.

Hi Doug,
Most installations require considerable additional plumbing and labor to run hard water lines to the outside faucets. We are not on site, so don't know what your installation requires.
We would be happy to review your concerns with the installer if you would like. Feel free to reach out to us at customersupport@kinetico.com or 800.944.9283 if you would like to have that discussion opened.
Thanks!

He called me back within 10 minutes and for the first appointment, he said he would take care of everything and that I didn’t have to be at the cabin. I explained to him how to get in and where to look for things. Then, I had him come back out after he installed the systems to show me how to work them. We called for another service call. This time the brine tank was checked and found that we needed another part that was missed the first time. The technician also ran the system and the cold water until the tests he did showed we had soft water before he left. He was very thorough. Although the first technician was very nice, we would have to give him only 2 stars as he missed a part that needed to be replaced and did not test the water before he left leaving us with two more weeks of hard water. The second technician did an excellent and thorough job. I do like the fact that the technicians wear shoe covers when they come in the home.

We had a lot of rust, and we had a lot of iron and other minerals in the water here. I liked to get it cleaned up. There are a lot of different water softeners out on the market, but I thought Kinetico was more of a top of the line softener and also, they have a good history. Setting up an appointment with them was really simple. I told them that I was interested and Dave came out. He showed us what was available and he did one free water test right at the night that he was here for us to figure out what we were going to need. The water test kind of confirmed what I already knew. I used to be a wastewater operator in a small town, and had quite a bit to do with water, and seeing different applications, I knew a little bit about what was going on.
Once we figured out what would be best suited for our house, we set up a date for the installer to come out and put it in. We bought a water softener and a drinker water system and had them installed inside the house. One guy came out and he had everything that he needed and he did a good job. He came out within a couple of days and he showed me all the different options. I told him what I wanted and what my issues were. He looked around my property, I live on a farm, and he said I had all these possible contaminants. He did a water test and showed me what contaminants I had in the water. He then fixed some tea with water from my tap then he fixed tea again but with water from one of his systems. The comparison was amazing. When I agreed to do a whole water system throughout the house, they installed it within 10 days. It was fabulous how quickly they were able to put it in.
The system really changed my life so I very much like it. Kinetico has a really good product and they’ve done an excellent service. We didn’t think our water was soft enough. My wife was seeing spotting under our dishes and glasses, so we got a water softening system from Kinetico. Our friends spoke highly of it. I had researched Kinetico myself a little bit and even though they're quite spendy, it seemed like they're efficient in their use of salt in their back flashing process and they're probably the most efficient on the market. With them, it seems you're getting what you were buying. You were getting a good product.
It was easy to get an appointment to have them come out. And the rep that I talked to was very professional and very accommodating in setting it at the time we wanted and when we wanted. And the gentleman that called on us was really courteous. Salespeople are salespeople, but I didn’t think their sales rep was overly aggressive. I also like to call out on their office staff for following up very nicely. I had a couple of calls from a lady in the office to make sure after the installation that everything went well and we were satisfied with everything.
We had a lot of interaction with their installers because, initially, they didn’t want to install it the way we wanted to have it installed. Because we have a sprinkler system for our lawn and they wanted to install the system, so that it would include our sprinkler system as well. And we did not want that. And so, they actually had to call back to their boss in order to see if it was okay if they bypass that. But that eventually was cleared up and he did it very expeditiously and at no cost to us. From there the installation went really well and very cleanly after the initial problem with determining exactly how they were going to do it was cleared up. There was one guy initially that started the installation and he went about it in a very workmanlike manner and was moving along really well. And then, another gentleman showed up and helped him finish off the job. They did very good work.
Now our water is softer. It's working the way they said it would and the way it regenerates when it needs to. It doesn’t waste water by regenerating when it doesn’t have to. I like that option and I think my wife is really happy with her softer water and we're enjoying it. I would highly recommend Kinetico if they can get over the sticker shock of it because it's an expensive choice. I would not have bothered, but I think it's an effective process. And in the long term, it's very cost-effective.

We were building a new house and some people who I work with, as well as my sister, had Kinetico systems. It gave me great confidence in talking to people who actually had the systems. And I tried the drinking water and it was as good as any bottled water. We drink a ton of water and so we decided that it was an area that we wanted to spend the money in. We got a water filtration system and also a water softener from Kinetico.
Kinetico's sales person was able to come out within a few days, and he explained all the different options and we just built around what was most important and where we wanted the filtered water and it worked out great. They installed everything during the build and it's ready to go. The drinking water has been tremendous, and we use it all the time and don't have to buy bottled water anymore, so it's great.
One thing we have noticed is that around the sinks where the water splashes, there were white marks, which is an indication of the hard water. When I called and told them about the situation and my suspicion that maybe the water softener isn't doing what it's supposed to, they were able to give me a service call within a week and they came out to check it out. They could have done it on Friday, but we weren't available, so we just called two days ago. I was pleased with the response from and everybody I've dealt with has been great. I have a well and a water softener, and drinking the softened water isn't objectionable. However, I am in Door County where there's a high limestone quotient in our water. Although the water softener takes out most of it, when I would have a drink with some ice cubes in it and when I was done, I'd look in the bottom and there'd be some sediments. I remodeled my kitchen ten years ago and at that time, I bought one of Kinetico's RO systems. It lasted for six years and then stopped working. The good news was that my ex-wife was the only one who really used it much, so it wasn't high on my list of things to get done. However, my doctor suggested that I should start drinking some more water, and so I had to replace it. I called somebody at Aquarius, told them my story about how I was unhappy and asked what we could do. They said, "We'll fix you up. We'll reduce the price on our RO because we want you to be happy."
Setting up the appointment went very well once we decided to do it. However, I ended up having a number of things going on in my life, and the appointment got delayed because of me. When it was finally going to be done, I called and spoke with a lady named Marsha. This was on a Wednesday and she asked when I would like to have it done. I jokingly asked, "How about tomorrow?" And she said, "Can't do it tomorrow. How about Friday?" That was perfect, so she said, "The guy will be there right in the morning." And sure enough, he was.
The gentleman's name was Corry, and he and I got along very well. As he walked in the door and we ended up coming through the garage, the first thing he did was slip on booties over his shoes. The fact that they were concerned about my carpeting and keeping it clean and nice was a nice expression of their concern. The install would have taken half the time if I had just gone into the living room, sat with a book and left him alone. But he put up with me, talking to him and telling him stories. I've got the system mounted in a faucet and it provides a water fountain on my kitchen sink and my refrigerator ice maker. In the future, it may be expanded to a spigot outside on my deck. We got lucky that we were able to reuse a bunch of the plumbing that had already been done with the prior system.
My first one was a very good system, and I was very disappointed that it died after a half dozen years. The problem is that the valves in the holding tank go bad, and to replace the valves costs $600 to $800. That was one of the things that slowed me down. So, I started out with being happy with the system when it was installed, then very unhappy when that expensive system died. Aquarius tried to do a good job in saying they'd reduce the price a little bit trying to take care of my problems, but it still was a pile of money considering what I could do somewhere else. I'm happy with it now because I have clear water and ice cubes. I'm also drinking more water than I've had in the past, and my doctor is also happy with that.

We bought a cabin on a lake with very sludgy, dark water per our third-party inspector. We’re only 40 feet deep and we felt like we’re getting a lot of tap water. It smelled like sulfur but they said it wasn't. We joined forces with Kinetico to get a system to filter the water. Our inspector from Wisconsin area recommended them as somebody who fixes that water situation. We bought a water filtration that hits the entire house, all the pipes and appliances. Then we bought a secondary unit just for the sink.
The person in Minneapolis was professional and guided us along but the guy in the area is indicative of the culture in that area, too cabin-y. People work when the hunting and the fishing are not good and it was reflected in that. But I’m used to dealing with people like that. It was not a big deal. When they came, what they wanted to do didn’t make sense though. They wanted to take up my whole under the kitchen sink in a little cabin like that down while we put it over here. But he totally blocked in our water heater.
The next weekend, we had water heater and my husband brought that up. He couldn't get the water heater out. Then the water heater had problems with Kinetico in front so we put band-aid on the water heater. But when we have to replace the water heater, I’m not sure Kinetico is going to come out and move their entire unit. They’re independent and they didn’t want to partner in the whole thing. We spent $6,000 on the unit so I hope we weren’t taken for a ride. When they left, my husband and I bought these filters and the salt. We asked him what we have to do three times but we still don’t know. So in that part, they were really poor.
But the water is fantastic. During the inspection, the guy ran the hot water for 45 minutes and the place just reeked. The system took the smell out and everything is good. I can’t wait to drive up to Wisconsin and drink tons of water right out of that little spigot on the sink. It’s better than bottled, although I could have gotten a lot of bottled water cheaper. I paid a lot for that. That little unit is working hard though. They have a great product, but poor people.

We had some mineral buildup in some of our plumbing fixtures so we purchased Kinetico water softener based on the recommendation of the folks at Martin's. Their reps were very professional. They were on time, very thorough and very pleasant. I couldn’t ask for a better support. It wasn’t a hard sell. They did a water test when they were here. They took a water sample and put their chemicals in it, and they had the result. I had gotten quotes from other dealers with different brands and Kinetico did the job. It used less salt than the others, so we went that way. Their installer did a really good job. I was there when he was installing it and he was explaining as he goes and he cleaned up after. Since then, there has been a noticeable difference. We live up in a little rural area with well water and there's a different feel to the water. Kinetico is reliable and it works. I would recommend it.

My fiancé had Kinetico before and since I had iron in the water, I purchased a water system. Setting up the appointment went well and I took advantage of the free water test. The installer was great to work with. He answered questions that we had in a timely manner, and got everything taken care of and working properly. It's a great product and it definitely helps with the water.

Kinetico had the most stars in the ratings as I researched it and they had better reviews, too. Setting up an appointment with them was seamless, and they came within a week. Their sales representatives were timely and they followed up. And the installers were knowledgeable and they did their job. They also did a water test for free before and after the installation of our system to prove that it solved the problem. I got a Kinetico 4040 water softener installed and it cured our water problem.

We had a very poor quality of water and my friends got trustworthy experience with water softeners so we got some including a drinking water filter. We got it from Kinetico because of their customer testimony and I was satisfied with the way they set up the appointment. It went very well. They just tested the water and set up a date. Our water is not brown anymore. Our drinking water tastes good and I don't have to deal with the water softener. The water is clear. I'm happy. It's only quite unfortunate that it's 20 times the price of any big boss competitor and I don't think just anybody could afford it. But I would still recommend it.

I have friends that have had Kinetico Water Systems and they loved it. Two months ago, we got a filtration system for our home from them and we love it. I had rusty water and now I can drink the water. It was a good experience. I recommend you get one. It's wonderful.

I got a water softener and water treatment system from Kinetico as my old one went bad. I called the rep and they came out, told me about it and I bought it, then they installed it. They were good to deal with. I can drink the water now using their system.

I had a water system from Kinetico in my old house which I bought twenty years ago. The one I had wasn’t up to my standards so I reached out to them again and bought two systems. Setting an appointment with them was easier now than the last one. Their rep, Amy, did fine. She came out and did something with the water. And, the installation was good. We had a few minor difficulties though. With the first system, there was a water leak in the right tank, and the second one, there’s a water leak in the filter. But they were able to take care of them. Basically, I wanted soft water and we achieved the goal. I have already recommended them and I would tell my friends to buy one too.

Mike arrived at 9:55am for a scheduled 10:00am appointment, so he got off to a perfect start! He had a number of old pieces to take out and several new pieces to install but he was efficient and finished just about exactly the time he thought he would. He was very friendly and professional, explaining what he would be doing before he got started, and then what maintenance is required after he was done. He got a little help from another employee named Matt whose last name I didn't catch, who was also very pleasant and helpful. I couldn't be happier so far with our new filtration system or the Aquarius Home Services employees who put it in. Service with a smile!

We had a new construction home with well water and I wanted to make sure that we could prolong the use of all of our appliances. The Kinetico rep came, performed a lot of tests and explained the differences in the systems that they offered. He also showed the water quality. The installation team briefed me on where they were putting the water softener and what they needed. It's a great system and everyone was professional and knowledgeable.

There's a lot of farming around me and they use pesticides. I have a well so naturally, the well water has nitrates in it. Also, the water is hard, so I wanted to take care of that. I got a water filter for drinking water, a reverse osmosis filter, and then, a water softener from Kinetico. I got the water softener because it was cheaper if you get both of them. They sold me on that one, plus we also needed them both. Their reps were professional and they did their job like they should. I would recommend Kinetico to a friend. It's the best system you can get for your home.

I have the water softener and the drinking water system from Kinetico. I liked not having to have so much salt go through your system. And then it’s very low maintenance. That’s the part I really like. Kinetico also checks the air conditioning in the spring and then the heating system in the fall. I’ve been really happy with the service guys that come out.
Every spring I go to the Kinetico thing that they have. They have a luncheon and then they have a special on the salts, so I was getting my salt in the spring. Every spring, they come to my house and change out the water filters. I’ve been changing them myself, but they were squirting water all over the place. Kinetico drains my water heater for me every spring also.

Our old electric system kept not working any time we had power outages and then it needed to be reset so we were mostly interested in the non-electric system. We have very hard well water and we needed soft water. We purchased the Kinetico softener system and also the RO for the drinking water. Their representatives were courteous but there were some problems with the product and it took them a month to get it figured out. They were pretty good but the products were expensive and we were a little disappointed that it took over a month to get it resolved and yet we still got charged full price. We didn’t get anything off of it other than some free product that we were supposed to be getting for free anyway for the first year. We haven’t gotten any of the service that we were supposed to be getting after the sale yet either.

Hi Scot,
Thanks for taking the time to let us know of your experience and also for giving us the chance to improve our processes.

Where I live the water is really hard and horrible. The PSI was really high and I was having problem with the salt. I just bought the house about a year ago and I wasn't told anything. When everything just started falling apart, I called Kinetico. I called a couple of other people but Kinetico got the best estimate and then the people were great too. They have been really kind when I set up the appointment. The person that picks up the phone was fantastic. From the beginning, she was really kind and really tried to adjust to my schedule too.
I got a pretty good installer. His name is Gerry and he was fantastic too. He set up everything for me and showed me the products that they have. I got their water softener, water heater, and home water purifier. I did it one by one. It’s quite expensive at the same time, so step by step we started doing everything. Since having Kinetico, my water has been incredible. I didn’t believe it at the beginning because I was really a skeptic about it. I had other ones too and they were telling me that I was going to feel a big difference. I said, “No. I don’t think so. We’ll wait.” But when I finally got Kinetico, the difference is like day and night. Even when I take a shower, it's fantastic. I had a water pressure problem and I was getting 80 PSI of water pressure, and it was just eating up all the salt every time. Every time I put a bag in the water softener, it will just eat it up. So, they regulated the whole thing with me. They do a great job.
I’d totally recommend Kinetico. I had a problem with the heating system on Christmas Eve. It wasn’t turning on, and it was just turning on and off constantly. My house went down a minus. It was like 60 degrees at home. We were freezing to death. They came out without charging me anything. They cleaned up a few pieces, and then that’s it. I had a great experience Kinetico.
