I bought a Jenn-Air wall oven in 2022 - it was broken by 2024. They are absolute garbage, designed to break just past the 1 year warranty. Customer service said it would cost upwards of $1500 to fix. Not worth it, I can buy a new oven for that price. Avoid this brand!

I cannot understand why a four year old oven has required more than six service calls. There have been several control board issues, sensors, etc. I purchased a somewhat costly extended warranty program, which is the only thing that has kept this out of landfill. I’ve never owned an appliance which such poor reliability. Btw, it was their most expensive version of electric oven, and I expected better. Based on this experience, I would not purchase another JennAir appliance

It seems there should be a recall on the Jenn Air wall oven combo with so many people having the same issue. These appliances are not cheap and no customer service! I have had the same issue as many have written… The board burnt out and my microwave had error codes that said DO NOT USE. Took forever for the parts. This should definitely be investigated for a recall.

Ordered stove top gas, Microwave convection and electric convection wall oven and an exhaust fan. Received a free dishwasher with the purchase of 4 appliances. Back left corner gas burner never stopped ticking after several service calls. Still does it but you have to find a sweet spot. Have to blow on the right front burner to get it to start. The dishwasher was the bottom of the line and replaced because of quality, with a Bosch.
The oven is now giving me a control panel problem. Took it out and found cheap plastic mounting tabs to hold the display in place in place. Two of the tabs were subjected to high heat and actually melted two of the hold-down points. Cheaply made. Complete replacement part cost between $1400-$2000 depending on part number used on Jenn-Air's site. Was put on hold for a long time to verify correct part number for our model number. Had to replace the microwave dish rotation motor. The fan is a joke, always having to dismantle the smoke detector because the slightest smoke will set the detector off. Turn the fan up it is so loud. Just doesn't have the pull.

Bought the double wall oven, floor model, with an extended warranty. It has never completely worked. We just had the motherboard replaced because it wasn’t reaching or maintaining the correct temperature, even after two technicians came to try to fix it. The new motherboard only turns on the top oven. When you press the button for the bottom oven, you get the timer. When you touch the button for the upper oven light, you get the self clean menu. The button for the bottom oven light, does turn on the upper oven light. It was supposed to be a smart oven but with the new motherboard, you cannot connect it to the internet. Honestly, if had not cost so much money it would be comical how insanely bad it works! How can an appliance costing almost 10k work so poorly?!

Jenn Air double oven no longer usable due to F2 E1 stuck key error. I've had this oven for 3 years and this is the third time I got this code. Previously, going to the main electrical panel and switching it off and on worked to fix it. Now it is broken forever. The required part is no longer available. So Jenn Air admitted this and wants to know if I would take a replacement oven at a deeply discounted price. Quite Frankly, I do not want another Jenn Air oven, especially so since reading these reviews: 80% of customers gave it a 1-Star review. I'm afraid of getting another dud as a replacement oven. Not sure what to do about it now.

I too bought a Jenn-Air wall oven that was built into our unit about 2 years ago. It has broken down twice since then. This time I too experienced the F2 E1 stuck key error. I waited a month for a part to come in and I was just informed the part is "unavailable indefinitely". I agree, if this issue is so widespread why is Jenn Air not required to fix the problem? These are very expensive ovens. Something needs to be done to hold Jenn Air accountable. I am open to suggestions. Maybe a class action lawsuit? And why is Jenn-Air continuing to get high marks as a high-quality product? Something isn't adding up there either.

We installed our Jenn Air convection double oven 26+ years ago & it is still going strong - and we have never had a repairman come for any issue!!! I’m thinking the time may come to replace it and we would definitely consider another Jenn Air. We use it a lot! I cook everything from scratch, and we rarely eat out at a restaurant - family of four and we host all the holiday dinners. So we are a Jenn Air success story!

I bought a single wall oven in 2016. In 2018 it broke. The repairman replaced the computer board. It did not fix the problem. They did replace the oven under the warranty. Now 2024 the second oven has the stick key code Not working and no longer under warranty. So out to buy a new oven. Also both ovens dozens of times the oven lights would be on in the morning when I woke up. Called JennAir and asked about this. They had no answer.

A JennAir wall oven was built into our unit when we moved 2 years ago. Within 1 year, the oven started displaying an F2 E1 Stuck/Shorted Key error. I reported it past the labour's warranty but within the parts warranty. They told me I will have to pay for labour but they will cover the parts. The thing is many people in my condo building who have the same oven have the same issue now. It has been 6 months since the repair person came and checked and said he needs to order a part and will be back. The repair person told me that he was given the wrong error code by Jenn Air and that he wouldn't have had to come in if they had given him the right code and that would saved us the service call too. My issue is if this is a widespread issue why are they not fixing the problem for everyone free of charge? Why are we paying for something that they messed up on. I have only used the oven a few times but am now unable to. It is less than 3 years old now.

We purchased new General appliances for our kitchen 14 months ago. Five weeks ago when we went to the kitchen, there was an error code on the wall oven could not use. The error code indicated it was a problem with the electronic push button control panel. Jenn Air ordered a replacement, control panel which took four weeks to come in. The technician came to our house to install the new control panel and we discovered it was the wrong one. Had to order another one which is also on back order. We have now been without an oven for nearly 6 weeks that we paid $4000 for.

Stove was defective, several service calls made. Labour not under warranty but part WAS. When calling Jenn Air, component B/0. 3 years later, stove STILL NOT WORKING and radio silence from Jenn Air. Last communication from Jenn Air - Oct. 7, 2022. Again, 3 years w/o stove or microwave. Had to buy portable appliances as work around to feed our family. Issue seems to be electronic. Technician was sent to evaluate (for a cost) but the component was out of stock (apparently due to COVID...) and never replaced and Jenn Air has never followed up with us since. We could have another technician come to ''evaluate'' again and we would still have to pay for nothing.

I purchased this oven in 2018. An error code started in 2022. Where we were instructed to shut down power for 90 sec then wait for oven to function. This worked repeatedly! For about a year and now it doesn’t work any longer. The part is over $1100 not including labor and Jenn-Air has nothing they can do about it. Their claims that they’re high-end appliances should last 10 to 15 years is a bunch of bull. They don’t even have anyone to address the issues or pay for the ongoing repair visits to get to the bottom of what’s happening to the oven.
When you spend over $6,000 for an oven you don't expect it to break within 5 years. I’m just sorry I didn’t check Consumer Affairs before we purchased our Jenn-Air. It’s obvious to me now after reading other reviews and multiple Appliance blogs that Jenn-Air knows there’s a problem with the oven's control panel and is doing absolutely nothing about it. Shame on Jenn-Air. Absolutely Do Not not purchase a Jenn-Air if you have a choice.

Jenn-Air products are not worth the money or the headache! We have been through TWO Jenn-Air double ovens with convection in the last 5 years. They both came with self cleaning and was told by the service repair man that selling this feature is an oxymoron: Use it and it will fry your motherboard. I had no idea! With the first oven, I used once a year, that's what fried the motherboard. We went ahead and got another one and this time I followed the service repairman's advice: I didn't use the cleaning function at all (How much is this added feature to an oven AND YOU CANNOT USE?) and the motherboard burnt out again. Was it because I used the convection oven this time?
After our second one went out, we were told it would cost $2800 to repair, that we are better off buying something new and not Jenn-Air but before you do that, call them again and tell them this is your second oven in less than 5 years, they might do something for you. We called, and the woman who happened to be on the end of the call, didn't try to work with us, did try anything! We are SOL! AND ANOTHER $5000 OUT OF POCKET! AGAIN! DO NOT BE SOLD ON "HIGH LINE APPLIANCE". DO NOT BE SOLD ON LUXURY BRAND! DO NOT BE SOLD BEAUTY! THIS COMPANY SUCKS! AND THEY FRANKLY DON'T GIVE A DAMN, DARLING!

I bought this wall oven microwave combo in 2016, the control panel so some reason broke while the over wasn't even being used since we were away. Since April of 2023 I have been trying to get it fixed the part was on back order. They offered us 25% off a new $8000 dollar offer which we refused. Called them today to see if they would discount the replacement part and they totally refused. This is the worst customer service ever. Will never but a Jenn-Air appliance again.

Jenn-Air discontinued WHITE replacement control panels for their white ovens. Our entire kitchen is WHITE. But Jenn-Air has now decided to only offers BLACK control panels. How stupid is that! I will never buy another Jenn-Air product! As a side note, customer service is awful and trying to find a service company to fix a Jenn-Air is extremely difficult.

I had the Jenn-Air microwave and oven wall appliance. I got the F2-E1 error code. The parent company is Whirlpool. They sent technicians out six times to repair. They replaced all of the parts that could explain the error code. The issue was not repaired with the new parts. The technicians say the new parts may be defective, but they have not been able to diagnose the issue and now they deem the appliance to be unrepairable. I am on the hook for the cost of the new parts. The cost of the new parts is significant. A refund has been refused.
The 90-day warranty on the new parts is being refused, even though the parts may be defective so the warranty they offer is meaningless. This is an expensive appliance, and I would expect it to be more durable or repairable. It broke after only 4 years. The part that broke is essentially a computer. My takeaway is to buy a simpler appliance, and to never buy anything made by Jenn-air or the parent company (Whirlpool) ever again. There are better brands with better customer service.

We've lived in our brand-new house for five years (almost to the date) and several weeks ago the oven started with an error code and won't do anything, now the microwave is dead. Just had a repairman out and quoted $2000.00 to fix. The ice maker has been a constant headache, after multiple repairs, it's down more than it works. These products are clearly not meant to last more than 5 years. Wish I would have read more reviews before purchasing. Extremely disappointed especially considered that we paid a premium for these appliances.

We purchased the top of the line JennAir wall oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher 5 years ago. So far the only one we have NOT had problems with is the fridge. We had to replace the microwave, the dishwasher has had multiple service calls and parts replaced, and today the over broke down for the second time…same problem involving a “stuck/shorted key.” We will never buy another JennAir product.

Purchased all Jenn-Air appliances for our kitchen remodel upon the recommendation of our appliance store sales person. They were installed late December 2014. Last week a power outage took out the built in oven control panel. Service department advises us they no longer make the needed part. Law requires them to make parts for 7 years. They took law enforcement serious because 7 years and 7 months later we have to replace our oven because of a discontinued part.

Purchased Jenn-Air combination oven and convection microwave, model JMW3430DS00 six years ago. Already had the board replaced, kept getting error messages saying that the product can no longer be used last Thanksgiving. Contacted Jenn-Air with no response. After the holidays we contacted the warranty company, luckily I had purchased the extended warranty! They had a technician call, he knew what the problem was and wouldn’t come out until he had the part. He couldn’t give me an estimated time frame for the repair. Now it is June and still no idea when it will be repaired. Figured out that if we keep it in demo mode and run upstairs to reset the breaker, it will work for a while. I didn’t plan on this problem since it is a high end product. Certainly not for what I paid for it!

Where do I start? We bought a Jenn Air double wall oven because we thought it was “high end” and a “good” name. After three years the control panel failed Because the ovens were beyond their warranty period, we were prepared to pay for the repair. Turned out that a repair was not available first for a few weeks, then months and finally maybe never. After three months we were prepared to take a replacement for the price of a repair. No deal. We were offered a discount of 40% on the purchase of a new oven. But guess what? No new ovens available. We are left to buy a new set of ovens made by a different manufacturer at full price. In effect we paid full price for Jenn Air ovens that lasted only three years and couldn’t be repaired in a timely fashion. WE WILL NEVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL MADE APPLIANCE AGAIN.

Warranty is only for 1 or 2 years. It should have more warranty. My wall oven was barely used, one of the electronic boards is having a problem. Repair alone is about 1500.00 for replacing a board. Incredible awful experience.

Won’t reach/maintain temp. Used the manual calibration, maxed it out, now reaches temp but will not maintain. Drops 50 degrees then heats back up. Worst thing is that Jenn Air service people say that’s normal (for an oven to drop 50 degrees F while cooking). 10,000 dollars and I can’t even make cookies.

We built a new home and purchased upgraded appliance package the included Jenn-air wall mount microwave and oven combo. Only after 2 years we kept getting a message that the devices no longer work due to a short key error. We were told by repairman we paid $107 that there is no ETA on the part. We have been without use of the microwave and oven for 3 months with no further information or ETA on the part. Buyer Beware. After placing several calls to the company, I've received no further information.

I bought Jenn Air oven microwave and stovetop appliances. I thought they were a high-end reliable company. However I have found that they do not stand behind their appliances. I am having the identical software issue as many many other people with similar Jenn Air appliances. They will not back it if it’s out of the 2 yr warranty. BUYER BEWARE is that how long you expect a supposedly high-end appliance to work. I didn’t and now I will have to pay over 1,000 dollars for the new part plus labor. I can’t even get the part because it’s back ordered and now with the holidays I’m without an oven! Why is it back ordered because so many are having the same issue. Yet Jenn Air is blaming supply chain issues because of Covid! Do yourself a favor. Do not buy Jenn Air!

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Purchase the entire Jenn-Air package and have problems with the wall oven in particular from the start. Same Control Panel issue everyone has mentioned. Now the part is not even available and my repair guy said after 3 of them in 5 years; just buy a new wall oven. He mentioned this Jenn-Air is now available at a discount. Ha! The same board on the same panel 3x's but it's not a systemic problem according to the useless Jenn-Air customer service. Liars. I will use my grill before I purchase another Jenn-Air product. BUYER BEWARE and shame on appliance stores for selling the product so we won't be going back to A-1 Appliance either.

We purchased a JJW3430WS and it died after 6 years. Faulty control panel. Jenn-Air convinced us to purchase a JJW3430DS (replacement model) and that one died this past week (again, faulty control panel). There is clearly an issue (as so many reviewers on ConsumerAffairs have also attested to). Yet, they refuse to take any responsibility or admit any wrong doing. They simply offer us a discount to purchase yet another one (since, as they feel, we were simply unlucky on the past one). Do your homework: look at sites such as these. You will be reassured of one thing: if something happens, you will be on your own! The company will do nothing to help you out (other than try to sell you yet another one to soon end up in a landfill as well).
The control panel issues have existed for at least 10 years that we know of: yet the company continues to produce sub-quality control panels and push them onto unsuspecting customers. We all work hard for our money: buy anything other than Jenn-Air. Several others have talked about a class action: that should be top of mind for all of us. The overwhelming number of control panel issues are being ignored by Jenn-Air. Why would anyone trust doing business with a company that refuses to take any responsibility?

This was an expensive replacement for our existing wall oven and it has broken down 3 times in 4 years and currently the appliance repair company we have extended warranty will not fix the sensor (2nd time it went out). They tell us it is very expensive piece and the oven 4 years old.. They will give us a check for 2600 dollar (current depreciated value). I have asked other colleagues who have Jenn-Air products and their dissatisfaction was very much similar. I will never purchase Jenn-Air appliances ever again and I hope consumers who are looking for appliances do their homework.

Wall oven/microwave double unit stopped working in Aug '22. Contacted authorized repair who came 2 weeks later. Quoted me $200 for a replacement part on the touch pad which I paid for Sept 9 '22. Authorized repair called me back to say the wrong part was ordered and that the actual part was $1,400. Yes - you read that correctly. I was shocked so I called Jenn-Air and told them it was outrageous and that by the time I paid for the oven and this $1,400 part, I should have ordered, and may still, a Wolf oven. They dropped the price to $700. I suspect they think I should have felt amazing about that. I begrudgingly ordered the part for $700 on Oct 3rd which I was told was on backorder.
It's Nov 17th (3 months later) and I just called Jenn-Air to ask if the part came in. Customer service says the part is indeed in stock, but that there was a note on my file to close the order with a comment that the "customer wants to order Wolf instead" (I paid for the part though and told them to proceed with the order).... Does that sound like sabotage by a customer service rep? It sure does to me... Jenn-Air now says they've "escalated" the request for the part, but can't give me an ETA. Will call them back again in a week to find out how the part ordering is going. Bottom line - don't buy Jenn-Air.
