This product totally sucks. Yeah the price is fair. But it don't even last a full year. I bought one January 19th and it broke today. It started by shutting off in the middle of using it. Then the fan quit working until about 2 to 5 seconds left. Hopefully can get a refund.

Had the same defect as other consumers where corrosion or rust and a defective turntable wheel.

We received this micro as a Christmas gift from our Son and DIL. The interior wall started bubbling up and peeling something awful.

Had this Hamilton Beach microwave for less than a year. It always seems to hold moisture between the door panels, and around the turntable. Now it is completely rusted under the glass. There is a popping and cracking sound when. I will never purchase another Hamilton Beach microwave.

Seems to work fine. Does what needs done so far, but why the heck would you put that sticker on the front glass? It is stupid. I’ve bought two different removers, after trying every cleaner I have at home, with scubbers and razors and That gunk is still there. Now day two it looks like crap, and dirty. Stupid when they make stickers that come off without residue. Three stars now may be one if I still cannot remove.

Replaces a 15 year old Oster. Operates as expected.. I am 84 years old and sight impaired, AMD, I use buttons to feel to feel the choices. Can hardly see the screen at all. Had to make a photo and enlarge enough to place my buttons. White button is to start, red buttons sit on number 5 and 0. Little white button on top is CLOCK set. All in all, worked for me. Purchased at Walmart, $90.

I purchased this microwave because the one I had prior wore out. I had already heard this is a great brand. I always clean my microwave and follow instructions and there are no kids in my home to just throw things in the microwave. It is used around 3 times a week. The issues is all the paint inside is peeling off like rusting and now can’t even wipe it down because it keeps peeling!!! Would Not purchase again!!

Upon opening the box, the brand new microwave had instruction stickers all over it (including a huge one on the front) that left sticky adhesive residue everywhere. It was impossible to remove and had me considering just returning it and finding something different if it wasn’t Christmas Eve. All of the information on the stickers was stuff that could’ve easily just been in the paper instructions on the inside. Manufacturers should know better than to put super annoying crap like that all over their appliances. Do better.

I have always followed protocol for a clean microwave and condensation. This microwaves started paint bubbling in the corners and under turntable even though I cover all food so there is usually no issues with food. I wiped condensation and leave the door open but after the first year. Definitely not a proper paint job.

I've had 4 Hamilton Beach 700W microwaves in the last 10 years. All, after a year or less, the coating on the inside started bubbling and chipping. I wipe and dry know them out after each use but it doesn't help. I just noticed on the last one that there is a hole now in the back where the coating has bubbled and chipped off. Scared to use now and can't afford a new one. Don't know if it's just the 700 watts that do this or if it's just Hamilton Beach, period. I'm not happy about this at all but grateful that I noticed the hole and it didn't explode!

We have only had the microwave since September 2025, it is now November.. Today I was cooking a frozen dinner. For 3 minutes it shut off. No power. Unplugged it. The top was very hot to the touch. When it cooled off I plugged it back in and it turned on. I finished cooking the dinner for my husband. We have it unplugged.. I'm worried about leaving it plugged in.

My 3 yr old Hamilton Beach countertop Microwave started peeling on the interior roof. It looks like the elements on the top is burned. I still use it but am so afraid it will catch on fire that I don’t leave the kitchen while it is in use. I see this is a common problem with this model and wonder why there is not a recall or a replacement. I have always kept it clean inside and only use it to warm up coffee, etc. not for cooking. This is caused by arcing and burning.

They don't last but maybe a year if you're lucky. Low quality. Bought 2 and both went out after not more than a year. Better off getting another brand. May cost a little more but in the long run it is worth it. But Hamilton Beach is economical but you get what you pay for

I bought it in 2023, Sparking and smelling of burnt plastic. I opened it and found the Thermal Fuse KSD201 180° Temperature Control Thermostat burnt. I contacted Hamilton Beach for the part. They don't have it. No help. Told their Customer Service I will not buy their product again.

I have a 900 watt Hamilton Beach microwave. When I first got it, I would have easily given it 5 stars. It is very attractive, affordable, heated well and easy to use. However, I have had it 22 months now and the circuit board is going. I did buy the 3 year warranty and got my purchase price back. I would have preferred an exchange, which the company did not do.

A locking door on a microwave has got to be one of the dumbest ideas yet. Wow. Makes me wanna throw it away and go get another one. For the price you pay and for the wattage you want, the locking door is a complete joke.

Second HB microwave in two years with peeling paint inside. This is a health hazard and with metal showing, a safety hazard. Perhaps a lawsuit of some sort is in order to cover any future sickness that myself, my family, my pets, and others may incur from this paint issue. I don’t know, but will never buy another one again.

If I could leave no stars I would. Now I know why me and my family also my dogs have become extremely sick. We are all going to have cancer screenings. I'm contacting everyone legally to hold Hamilton Beach responsible for this. Well I can't upload the video but just wait. 100 percent FACTS. JUST WAIT AND SEE.

I have bought my last Hamilton Beach microwave. This is at least my third one and something has gone wrong with each one of them in a short period of time. Smelling like it’s burning, smoking, holding moisture between door panels, and the turntable not turning properly and rusting under glass. Save your money and buy a better quality product.

I ordered direct from Hamilton Beach and they sent me used/opened box products. The company does not have a usable customer service line and they ignored me until I filed a BBB complaint. Their offer to resolve was I send it back and eventually their engineers would look at the items and then if they agreed the dented, smudged, scratched up products were indeed used, they would issue a refund. I said that was not acceptable and they and the BBB pretty much replied with a gfyt. Maybe I will pack it up next trip out east and deliver it in person to them at their corporate office. Or maybe file small claims court and make them spend $$$$ on their atty filing a response for $100 worth of items.

Christmas gift in 2024. First use of it, I said it is LOUD for a microwave. Less than 1 month later, the light inside the microwave doesn't work and there are no "troubleshooting suggestions" in the owner manual. The website for Hamilton Beach doesn't even list microwaves as being buyable from them so I really wonder what company made the microwave I have. Thank God I kept the original box and it is less than 90 days since purchased.

My husband and I purchased our Hamilton Beach microwave two years ago. Today, I went to use it and I had it on high for five minutes. After about three minutes, it stopped completely and it completely shut off. It was all blank, no time or anything was showing. It smelled like something was burning on the inside and outside. My glasses fogged up, like smoke got to them. I almost called the fire department because I thought the plug caught on fire. My husband is going to buy a new one. But, that really scared me.

My microwave was purchased in 2021 after my less than one year old Panasonic died. The inside paint has bubbled and peeled. Manufacturers need to do better than engineer for end-of-life occurring so quickly.

Purchased my Hamilton Beach microwave about 4 years. A small area at the seam came apart in the inside back right corner. It appears to be rust behind the spot but hard to tell. It put out an odd smell when turned on. Product unplugged and will be out of permanent commission.

Microwaves are not produced by Hamilton Beach. They do not support this product!! Will never buy another product with their name on it. Emailed them. Response: contact store where you bought it. Hahaha.

I have a 1100 Hamilton Beach & haven't had it but a couple of years. I have the same complaint as everyone else in the reviews. The thing is peeling very badly. I was looking for a recall on it but didn't find one. I have concerns about it being a health hazard. I keep it clean but it still look unsightly because of the peeling. I'm very disappointed. I will not buy one of this brand again. I can't afford to buy something that's not going to last more than 2 years or so! I bought it from Walmart.

In less than a year of purchasing my microwave, rust started to appear and just kept getting worse. 2-1/2 years later, had a rusted out hole in the path of the wheels for the microwave plate. Filled it with high temp JB Weld, but microwave looking decades old at this point. Also, sometimes door doesn't close properly, even though it's latched, and the microwave appears to be running. Tested it, it doesn't produce any microwaves during this issue, but is annoying. Cannot recommend the purchase of this product. I didn't know why, on a product that sees high temperature and humidity, plus cleaning chemicals, while they thought powder coating this without zinc plated sheet metal was a great idea? I need to buy a new microwave now, I will never buy anything from this company or any brands from its parent. Rusted holes in the microwave interior pose a health threat from the microwaves escaping.

I bought 2 Hamilton Beach microwaves and the recent one was only 3 months ago, and both of them have the paint peeling from the inside, I would like some compensation for the damaged product. Very dissatisfied customer.

I have purchased three Hamilton Beach microwaves in the last several years and all three have had the interior paint start peeling after so long. I tried to contact their support to find out what is going on and they want me to pay to talk to a tech. I need to get a new microwave again as the one I have is really peeling bad under the glass tray. I will NOT buy any more Hamilton Beach products and would not recommend their microwave to anyone. Poor quality and poor support. I will buy a different brand this time. I like their microwave but the quality is so poor and the support stinks. Don't buy Hamilton Beach microwaves...

Bought HB microwave from Walmart not even 2 years ago and the inside is rusting and paint is peeling off! I've been buying HB to fill my kitchen for years. This is extremely disappointing. Was this a bad batch?

I bought my Hamilton Beach 1100w microwave about 1-1/2 years ago from Walmart because my old one finally quit. I had no choice because they were out of stock on the one I wanted but this one had a rattle starting off and the bottom has rusted at the back and the paint is peeling. Very disappointing and I keep a clean kitchen.

I bought my Hamilton Beach 4 days ago at Walmart, I was heating something up in it today and it just shut down and won't come back on. I unplugged it and plugged something else into the outlet to see if that was the problem but it wasn't. This microwave will be going back to Walmart tomorrow and I'll never buy another Hamilton Beach.

My Hamilton Beach microwave is peeling on the bottom and it peeled on the bottom of the front. I thought this was a good product to buy but it sucks. You can actually pull up the paint and it'll come off. They didn't do a good job with this microwave. I will never buy a Hamilton Beach microwave ever again.

I had a Hamilton Beach microwave years prior to the one I got about 3years ago and the same thing happened to this as the first one. The problem is that when the door is closed it is against a seam inside the white lining of the microwave. Over a period of time moisture gets in there and rust out and eventually will cause sparks like you have put metal in the microwave. NOT SO GOOD. I really think this is a design flaw. Hamilton beach please correct this issue.

After using for less than 5 months and it's clean as a whistle. It decided to start sparking. No metal, no foil, just warming up cup of coffee. I'm ANGRY!! I certainly thought Hamilton Beach made better products, I'm really disappointed. I would appreciate it if they'd do the right thing and replace it.

Microwave 15 months old, severely rusting. No longer under 1 year warranty. No help from CS. Tried to post review and picture and it never appeared. Shoppers need to be forewarned. Other site wanted credit card number.

I just bought it. Had it delivered from Walmart today. I took it out of the box, plugged it up and started running with the light on in the microwave. Sounded like a loud fan running. It came on by itself. The keypads would not turn it off. I tried. Tried resetting. Unplugged it for about an hour then plugged it up. It came back on by itself. I tried calling customer service. You just get a message. I emailed them. They had me email some other dept. They also gave me a number. I called. It rings then goes busy. I paid for garbage.

I will not buy a Hamilton Beach microwave again. It don't hold up. We had ours around a year and it started to rust and peel. After about a month the microwave door started to rust. I told my old lady not to buy nothing from y'all again after what happened to the first microwave. It dang near blew up in my face.

I purchased a red microwave from Walmart, which by the way I spent a long time doing because I wanted the right one. Went to clean in and was shocked to see the paint actually coming off the bottom. It kinda freaks me out now, I don’t know if I should use it or not. I’ve just never seen anything like it!

Surface rust started just before the 1 yr Walmart warranty was up where the wheels go. I am meticulous about cleaning. A clean microwave is no exception. At least before the rust started to rip my cloth. It was always cleaned and wiped out. Never in a million years did I think it would completely rust out in 3 years. I have had microwaves for 20 years before. This one is garbage. It still works which is more than can be said for some of the reviews here. Does anyone know how to fix a HOLE in the bottom. I know you can get microwave paint but what about microwave filler?
