My experience with the General Steel staff has been excellent so far, they have accommodated me in a timely manner and have made feel very comfortable with the building process. I am looking forward to completion of my build. It has been a goal of mine for years.

I wanted to say thanks to Andy ** for helping me work through the preliminary steps of planning a building that I've been thinking about building for some time. Andy made the process work smoothly and was there when I needed help. We are making progress and it's all because of how this process began. Thanks again Andy!

Collin ** was very thorough in helping us to get this order defined and placed. We had a situation where there were buildings on 2 sides that had to have access left to 2 doors. He helped in solving that problem. He was also timely with all of the correspondence and questions asked of him.

Pricing was easy to get over email and internet. Changes were easily made and pricing was received by email promptly. Information was provided as requested. We had to change several items on the plans. Questions were answered and corrected to include pricing either way.

Kasey's prompt, professional attention to detail in coordinating my order was superior to what I am used to experiencing. She answered every question clearly and obtained details from other departments with amazing speed and clarity. She is both business like and cheerful.

Working with General Steel has been a pleasant experience. My first contact was with Zach and he showed patience and guidance over multiple weeks as I navigated the permitting process, answering my many questions before handing me over to the project manager and starting the next stage. I would recommend General Steel to others.

Andy was great to work with, and he was very knowledgeable about the buildings and the process. He had answers to most of my questions and was quick to respond to anything he wasn't quite sure about firsthand. We were in a hurry on our end with this project, and Andy was able to get things moving and finalized quickly.

Updated on 08/13/2025: It is very unprofessional to issue a response after receiving a call from Bruce Graham, and was told that I would receive a follow up call—which never took place as promised. To state that this ministry, Outreach Victory Church did not have the funds to pay for the steel is an insulting lie. Our records indicate EVERY payment issued, and after speaking with the legal team in SC on a conference call with General Steel in 2023, I find the response of this company disconcerting.

Ben and the supporting team have done a great job so far in the process. I am hopeful this will continue through the entire project. I will need to receive the build and ship date, also the foundation plans are needed asap. Please keep me up to date as the other contractors are planning the work schedule.

This company is great. I spoke with Collin in February to get the ball rolling on a 60x60 building I had been wanting for quite some time. Unfortunately, I experienced some life changing events that put things on hold for a while. Three months later, after only sending one email, Collin called me the very next day to pick up right where we left off. The whole team was there to answer any questions and explain the step-by-step process. They were always available and kept me updated throughout each step. I couldn't imagine another company making this process any easier than General Steel has for me. Thanks so much, Guys! Keep up the great work!

We appreciated how smoothly the purchase experience went & how quickly material was delivered. Now that our shop is complete we couldn’t be happier with the final product. It is large enough to meet all our needs & still provides additional space. We will definitely come back if we have any future need to do so.

I have been in contact with Jeremy Ebersbach PROJECT CONSULTANT // GENERAL STEEL CORPORATION trying to figure out my project. I had asked via email about me using a retaining wall in conjunction with the building. I received a response addressing Alex (my name is Andrew) as well as a building size different than what I inquired about. I emailed back seeing if there was some sort of mixup but failed to get a response. I also called and left a message. I eventually called the corporate office to see if I can speak with someone. I was in contact with Steve ** National Sales Manager // GENERAL STEEL CORPORATION.

This is a 30x40 steel structure to use as a barn, roof, and insulation. We are having to get 2 end garage doors, and front walkway door. Color we want, and windows on part of structure. We are also doing 4 over hanger on both sides.

The first person I talked with, Andy, addressed my questions in a very professional and personable manner. Even though General Steel deals with requests for buildings that are 100x200 or larger, Andy made me feel that my 24x30 building was very important to him. He got back to me within a half hour, with an amazing quote. I am now a happy General Steel customer.

We just ordered our Barndominium and it has been a really great experience so far. Easy to work with people, Zach and Lauren were terrific. We are pleased with all of the choices that we have, and the help they are giving us with getting the building put up when we get our foundation in!

Hi To whom it may concern, I have been in the process of looking to build a barn and concluded that the best way to way would be a metal structure. It's moderate size. 40 x 62. And I wanted it open in the center to divide it the way I wanted to. When I started looking around the buildings I was getting quotes on where galvanized steel consequently I knew that wouldn't support what I was trying to do. General Steel came back and gave me Red steel structure meeting and exceeding my expectations. I'm very pleased with everyone I've been in contact with at General Steel.

General Steel has been amazing to work with. From the beginning I had all of my questions answered and appreciated their help and input on some areas that I didn't have any experience with. I'm excited to be installing 32 storage units for the residents of my community and hope this leads to more projects of this type.

They contracted the concrete contractor at my request and I have talked to him about the details of my project. Ron got my order to fabrication and Kasey took my details information. Our company recently decided to replace an older modular office building. A valued tenant was in with a larger 30' by 50' building. We selected General Steel over its competition based on its website information and reviews we looked at. Choosing a steel building from General Steel allowed us to add on many appearance and energy efficiency features we would have had to otherwise say no to.

Bruce, Billy, Jonah is very helping and knowledgeable guys. They respond fast whenever I need assistance. They also help me in choosing better building designs. They also guide me how to choose as per my needs so that metal structured will having long time durability.

I have had a great experience working Brendan at General Steel to design my 46X30 garage. It's difficult to find who you should use but I would definitely recommend this company for quality steel buildings. The insulation is going to make this building easy to climate control. Can't wait for it to be delivered and erected.

I've asked and received several quotes on red iron buildings for my 40x60x18 shop. Without a doubt, General Steel was the most professional, responsive, and willing to work with me than any of the others. Andy ** was committed to working with me and providing me with all the information and pricing I needed prior to making a decision! My house is next. We have existing 32'x32' containment area with concrete floor and 4ft concrete wall adjoin existing bldg. that we are trying to repurpose into maintenance shop. We tried few local contractors, but didn't get very far with it. I heard the General Steel on radio and decided to give them a call. Ben **, our project consultant, called back and asked few questions. After Ben reviewed the pictures I sent him, he was able to guide me thru the process and turn my idea into a real project with budgetary number including preliminary design and locating a contractor in my area to install the bldg.

I had the experience of working with Josh and Ronald figuring out the building I needed. They both were very helpful and nice to work with. I recommend talking to them if there is any interest at all in purchasing a metal building, plus you get a quality structure from General Steel.

Talking with the representative Bill & Zac has been an amazing experience. Everyone has been very helpful. I feel comfortable if I need to contact them via phone or email. I worked with Chase to complete sale of 40X60 building. He was easy to work with. Lots of extras and options to consider, I need time to consider all options and he was patient and helped explain details. Overall a good experience with this purchase.

Updated on 01/07/2023: This is an important follow up to my initial review. General Steel has identified, owned and corrected an internal GenSteel error in my building order. I am very impressed with the extent of their concern as led by Bruce **, Building Manager, to insure every detail of my building order meets my specifications without any further fees. My initial frustration and concerns have now been fully resolved. I recommend General Steel to prospective customers. Once I receive the building, I will provide a final review.

I had a great experience dealing with Cameron on the ordering of our new Building, he made it simple and explained all aspects of the ordering process. When the order was done Ryan has taken over the layout and has been very helpful and made the process seamless. Very happy with the sales department and the design folks.

We have spoken with several vendors in this process to build a new office building and replace the trailer we currently use. Josh ** and Bill ** have been very accommodating, friendly and punctual in our process. It doesn't feel like we are speaking to a salesperson. It's like they have a interest in our goals here.
