Heard the ad on Radio and called the number to check on year end sale numbers on a 20x 30 steel bldg. Talked to Justin ** and got the info I desired. He then looked up available units and found that He had a 20x32 but not the 20 x30. Made me a deal on it. I later found that our budget was below the cost quoted by about 1500.00 until after new year when new budget went into effect. He made it work and I am the owner of a new steel building within my budget. Good work and I look forward to doing business with General Steel in the Future. Will recommend to business associates.

I would strongly recommend General Steel to anyone looking to build a steel building. We are building a 40 by 50 foot storage barn. The staff at General Steel was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product and the process of ordering and building the structure. Ryan, Andy and Kasey just to name a few were a pleasure to work with and very helpful through the entire process. The building was also a great value and nearly 50% less than their competition.

We really appreciate the opportunity to work with someone who is professional and very knowledgeable of his job. He guided us through the process of getting a lot of things done with our new building. Brender constantly communicated with us by email or phone to keep informed about our Barndomium. My husband and I really enjoyed working with him.

I got a few quotes from other companies and then my father recommended general steel. Their quote was a lot more reasonable than the other companies. After requesting the quote they promptly contacted me and the experience has been great. Everyone I’ve dealt with has been friendly and helpful.

General Steel was awesome! Jonah ** as a Project Coordinator was great. He helped us with our purchase of 40x80x22 building, that we will turn into a barndominium. He was very knowledgeable and very easy to work with. He answered all of our questions and if he didn't know something he would find out and call us back within an hour. Our experience was easy and effortless and we would highly recommend working with him.

I highly recommend General Steel for steel building kits and planning. The staff was excellent; they were knowledgeable, attentive and provided a fast turn around for my building. I saw an advertisement on TV for General Steel. As soon as I called the # I was treated with courtesy and respect. Everyone was prompt and helpful. I was not familiar with some of the structures etc. The sales representatives helped me along the way in drawing and creating the building to be constructed. I would use them in the future and recommend them to other clients.

The sales rep. Answered all my questions right away and explained everything in detail. Laid all the cards out on the table, and got me a quote same day within 2 hours. Everyone else was almost a 2 day wait just for the quote. Their prices destroyed the competition while still have the knowledge and history to back their product up. I hands down will recommend this company to anyone and will be returning to them myself for our massive build project in 3 years.

Bought a building addition for a diesel shop. Called to get a quote and then the quote was the best so I bought from General Steel. Salesman referred me to the project manager which took it from there and discussed all aspects with me.

My Dad and I ordered a 60' x 100' steel building, and it was a very smooth transaction. Jon ** is easy to work with and is able to understand your need and provide the correct steel for your building needs at a good price. Lauren from the accounting department was good to work with as well. I would recommend to anyone looking for a well structured building.

I contacted General Steel regarding the need for a 1000 SF. building (20' X 50') due to the site topography and intended use. Alex contacted me after my initial inquiry for the client and we sorted out the details very accurately and quickly. The client was ready to move ASAP after delays on their end and let the professionals take over. Funding was in place and a standing contact was sorted out within a few days mainly waiting on other subcontractors. Alex was top notch as well as Steve who set up the contract. Once we provided the deposit, I was contacted by the project coordinator Ryan, and we are off to the races. I or the owner could not be more pleased with the process, promptness and professionalism. It was refreshing being a Civil/Structural Engineer myself and in this instance Construction Manager to have all of the right people doing what they need to be doing.

We've had a great experience ordering our 2nd General Steel building, which is a replacement for our 30x60 storage building and work area, which was severely damaged in a wildfire. Brendan was great to work with through all of our indecision, which was about a year or so. The ordering process continued to go smoothly with Billy, who assisted us with all of the details right up to building production. Looking forward to getting our building in a couple of months.

I called General steel to inquire about purchasing two 30x40' buildings...one for my barn and one for my house. Zach made sure he got me sale prices (which I was unaware of) and answered all of my questions. Even now that my project has moved on to a project coordinator Zach is still graciously answering my questions. Great experience.

I worked with Alex ** in sales. This guy is a super patient person! I called in and spoke with him for at-least 2 years before I decided to make a purchase. He always answered my questions and did his best to help as he could without me being an existing client. He even called the city planning and zoning for me to determine if I should move forward with a project. The city denied that particular project, but Alex still took my calls and worked with me after that. I was always very hesitant in moving forward, Alex at some point must have thought I wasn't serious...and still he continued to work with me patiently. I think I'm in good hands with Gen Steel!

General Steel has been helpful with my project, Conner got me started and the rest of the team have been getting us moving forward on getting my steel building ready for it to hit the production line and shipped out. When the building shows up all the fun starts as we opted to set it up ourselves, I’ll send pictures or videos of us setting it up so General Steel can have a actual video of their building being put up by customers.

Working with Canaan ** was a great experience, we learned the process of ordering a building from General Steel. We worked through what our needs were and what General Steel could provide us. We were on vacation when we first sent in the request for a building quote and Canaan was able to work with our schedule to keep the order on track and receive the sale price.

I worked with Josh ** initially when I called. I was just getting quotes in order for me to build storage units. Josh was excellent to work with. I called multiple times with several questions as I was going through the process figuring out everything with my business venture. I ordered 11,000 sq. ft. worth of building. Josh gave me a great price to sq. ft. for me to figure my numbers on to determine how much of a building I could buy with the funds I had available. His estimates were accurate for when it came time to purchase.

I've had a great experience designing and ordering several steel buildings. Ryan ** has been extremely responsive to my requests, and makes this happen. It's been particularly nice to have the full-service package supporting us from end to end throughout this process.

I found these people online and sent them my building requirements. They returned with fair pricing in a timely manner. I did need wind loads for my local engineer but I'm still waiting that information. It would be helpful if they did this quicker.

Chase was excellent. He was great with follow up and follow thru. He worked with us through the entire permitting process and really was diligent in every aspect. He was working with a great team and very accommodating. I have bought buildings from them in the past and would like to build more.

We ordered a building from them, every time we asked questions we heard "we will get back to you in 5 minutes". We ended up calling numerous times before we got answers. We asked for the building to be engineered after paying more money. We got an email asking us to waive our right to look at the plans, we declined, we wanted to see the plans. We then got an email stating we had to pay another 13,000 dollars and the building was going to production. We still have not seen any engineered plans. We refused to pay more money, we were told the price was locked in when we signed the original agreement. But now we are told that due to the price of steel they were charging more. We asked for our money back at this point.

He made the entire transaction really smooth and went out of his way to make sure I was happy about how things turned out. I chose General Steel for my project based on their reputation and competitive pricing. Ken ** has been my main contact at General Steel and my experience with him has been excellent. Ken has always been assiduous and responsive to the various aspects of developing my steel building order.

Over the last 5 years, I have purchased 4 buildings from General Steel for my RV storage facility. They included a 420' x 45' garage unit with 28 garages with electric garage doors, a 408' x 30' canopy unit, a 285' building with 13-15' x 45' plus 6-15' x 49' garages and a 290' x 40' canopy unit, the latter of which is just now being erected. In every case, General Steel has been competitive, easy to work with and timely with their plans and shipping schedules. I would readily recommend their operation as well as their products.

Jacob was extremely responsive to questions and very good with follow-up, as were all GS staff. I have to admit I was surprised by the aggressiveness of all GS personnel in following up with this deal to make sure we got everything done quickly, although I did not regard this aggressiveness as inappropriate. I would have appreciated some deeper discounts for a returning customer, as the building price was close to being undercut by the competition in Phoenix (Southwest Buildings). However, your referral for an affordable setup crew was the selling point. The crew obtained seems to know how to do this pretty well, and presented themselves for unloading very promptly and with the correct equipment. Thanks again for a good experience with GS buildings (they're putting up the building as we speak, so I'm assuming it won't fall over and prompt a less-than-happy review)!

Conor has gone above reg. customer service to help me with this project. To me it feels like he is invested in my project and determined to get me what I want. I know I am hard to work with (retired salesperson) but he takes it in stride and gets us back on project. I think that Conor ** is a great asset to your company and should be recognized as one. Everyone I have talked to from your company has been great to work with.

This will be the first metal building I have ever bought so my wife and I have a ton of questions on purchasing one. We have been shopping and looking for the best possible deal and also the strongest and most reliable buildings. We have 4 youngins and don’t won’t to settle for the what ifs but the I knows. We live in south Louisiana and have just experienced a cat 3 hurricane. I also work off shore and I don’t want to leave my family in a what if building.

I worked with Collin M, he was professional and very knowledgeable of the product and able to answer many (first time buyer questions) regarding these type of structures and able to give pros and cons of the competitors. My project experienced numerous delays due to the rain. The building the site was not ready. The timing was critical a minimum wait time unloader was needed at another job the same day. Thanks to Megan's hard work the truck arrived right on time and saved me a lot of money.

After much discussion with Bruce and his input we finally agreed on a 30’/48’. The building was delivered promptly some months ago. Due to our local county permit section we are still waiting for our permit. We hope to receive within next week. Upon completion I will send photos of the project along with classic cars inside.

When I started researching steel buildings for expanding my business, my experience was not a positive one until I spoke with Joanie at General Steel. Joanie was pleasant and helpful with all my questions and it quickly became clear she wasn't just trying to push a surplus building on me. I'm the kind of person who wants to understand all the details. She was patient and informative with all her answers. I could sense she was genuinely interested in my building needs and technical details. Through her professionalism and friendly attitude, I determined General Steel was the organization I wanted to work with. When I received the quote, I was very pleased to find it was also the best price. That, together with studying the structural details of General Steel buildings caused me to call the next day and order another building for a second location.

I bought a 30X50 steel building from General Steel this past spring. The initial planning stages were very helpful in deciding what I wanted in a building. Communication from the time I committed to purchase was great. Delivery on time. Any questions I had - and they were numerous - were answered promptly by the contact I had with the company. While I've never put up a building like this, the erection plans that accompanied the building were clear - even for an ol' cowboy like me. The building is a great addition to our operation.

After considering all our options, we (the White Plains Rural Cemetery) chose General Steel to provide the building we are trying to have built here on our grounds. Despite almost 5 years of legal battles, we have yet to be given the permit from the city to build. But, Bruce ** and his associates have been so patient sending us what they could in the way of plans, even though we haven’t even been able to follow through with the order — yet! They are always available and quick with responses to my questions. I couldn’t be happier with our choice, and now we are finally in the home stretch and looking forward to building before the end of the summer!

While there still may be issues with rust on some steel components, with the help of Bruce ** and his team, I will be reimbursed for out of pocket expenses regarding the replaced trim products.

I still believe communication can always improve in dealing with customers and Bruce has done a good job in making sure we are satisfied customers.

The sales process was excellent. Andy ** was our salesperson and he was a pleasure to work with. Andy was always willing to adjust and adapt the building to try to accommodate our budget while clearly communicating the implications of our changes. We have not completed the building design yet so we can't comment on the full cycle of the construction process, but based on the sales experience we are very pleased so far.

We initially started researching several Metal Building suppliers and narrowed it down fairly quickly after Andy ** reached back to us to lend a helping hand in our research. Andy was prompt and professional in his communication with us. We eventually set up a conference call organized by Andy that sold us on utilizing General Steel for our small project. General Steel has changed their mind and come to a resolution agreement with me and will be reimbursing me the $800 for temporary fencing and bolts that I had to buy myself in order for the job site to be protected and the storage units to be constructed. I am now satisfied with General Steel’s business practice. The storage units are good quality and my tenants are thrilled.

Our choice of General Steel because on Brad ability to explain to us and convince us on how general steel is better. Brad was able to explain to us how general steel fit what we are looking for. Brad was had a good understanding of our concern, and he help clarify our question and concerns.

General Steel sells you a building package, then encourages you to review the experience before anything significant can go wrong. Note the timing of many reviews on its page. I ordered windows and insulation only to find that the windows were not suitable for my purpose and that one can buy superior windows at much cheaper prices. GS would not cancel the order notwithstanding that there was nothing in the contract about not cancelling extras. It was far too early in the process for the windows to have already been taken out of stock, or probably even manufactured.

Everyone I have spoke with was very nice and knowledgeable with what was needed. They were very helpful in getting everything just the way I needed it. I would recommend them to anyone and will be glad to work with them again in the future. Carl, Ron and Megan have done a great job and gave me a great experience in getting the metal building that I will call home soon.

Initially everything was moving very slow regarding this project due to delays on our side as well as the companies we were dealing with. The sale person Jon was knowledgeable and convincing. I don't have the building yet, still early in the process. At this time, I am happy. After the main sale, several options were offered to increase the cost of the building.

The process of building a large building is more than difficult for a non-contractor, but the efforts of the salesman and project coordinator have made the project much more doable and so far into the project all issues have been handled simply, and professionally.

All of the people I have worked with at General Steel have been great, and I have made them work for it. They have answered my questions and worked with me to design exactly what I wanted. Even after I had put down a deposit they have worked with me to resolve my concerns and make a few changes.

I had a good experience with Ronald ** who is our building coordinator on current project. I had difficulty with the Alaska Fire Marshall on our last building placement and Ron went above and beyond getting me some fire rated industry material that I can use when getting our newest permit. I am a commercial fisherman and not knowledgeable in the building trade so he did well guiding my partner and I through the ordering process. I would recommend General Steel and Ron to anyone looking for a steel building.

First let me say I am in no way related to my salesman Derek ** - it was just the luck of the draw! Our non-profit soccer organization had been shopping for a metal building and had reached out to approximately 4 different metal structure companies. Derek was THE only one to make contact with me by phone. Personalized service! He spent at least an hour on the phone with me going over our needs and then finding the right structure for our club at the price point we wanted to stay within. Well having spoken with someome in charge of reviews, they worked with me to try and resolve the issues and make things right. In the end I can't say that things went perfectly smooth but I am happy to say they care enough about the customers to really try and make things better. Perhaps what sounded like fake reviews were just resolved reviews. Either way, I am impressed they found a frustrated customer and worked to correct the scenario.

The process of choosing the building size then adding the component options was a good flow. During the initial sale of the building, it would have been helpful to know a general average cost of these components upfront, though.

We are currently launching a Capital Campaign to build a Church facility and Andy's expertise was the critical deciding factor that persuaded our Board to go with a metal building as opposed to regular construction. His answers to our questions were thorough, complete, and satisfactory. GS is currently doing the preliminary drawings and we are 110% sure they will build our new facility!! Well I am writing to set the record straight, a representative from General Steel called me about my bad experience in getting my building loaded at the Nevada depot in June of 2017. He was genuine in his concerns and was understanding of my frustration with the less than stellar service that I received. He definitely had pride for his company which was good to see, and also offered to pay the penalty of 175.00 I was charged by the transfer company for the lengthy loading time. All I really wanted was to be understood and have someone go to Nevada and reduce the employees' coffee cup size so they don't drag their feet for the next guy. But the cash was nice too. Thanks Bruce.

Bruce has exhibited excellent customer service. I've had lots of questions about various parts of the project and he treated them all as important. Every response has been timely and well researched. This has really helped clarify some of the more difficult planning decisions I've needed to make.

I have had only great service from all the people at General Steel. Derrick, German, and Billy have all been great to work with. My requirements have been first priority in all cases. Great communication at every stage of the process.

I searched for a steel building on the internet and selected GSC. When the original sales rep returned my call but could not answer my questions, I was referred to Mr. Lee **. I sent him a list of questions which we covered individually. We had several person-to-person calls with question and answer periods. I was pleasantly surprised with his ability to answer all my questions without having to go look up the answers. He even offered me his personal phone number in case I had a question when the office was closed. This is great customer service.

Very informative, any questions that he did not have an answer for, he would find out and immediately get back to me with it. You do not know how many times I get the wrong information from a company because the reps decide to guess instead of working a little harder to get the right answer. Great Job!!!

After relying on a training barn about a 1 hr away it was clear our own would be better. After figuring out how & where put it we contacted General Steel and found it was within budget. We use the barn daily for dog training.

I built this shop myself no contractors (except the concrete). It wasn't as hard to put together as I had anticipated, instructions were fairly easy to follow. I only put the smallest amount of insulation they offered maybe should have went with more but even with the small amount even when it was zero outside it only got down to around 33 inside. It is easy to heat and I love it.

I was planning a second garage for my property. While still comparing companies and quotes I stumbled upon General Steel and worked with Ryan. He was able to find a building that fit my needs and budget. And it was actually bigger than I was originally planning on. The Fire Department needed a building to house its new Ladder Truck; after searching reviews on many companies online we contacted General Steel and two other companies. I have never bought a steel building before and was a little nervous dealing with a company across the country; however they have made the process very easy. When I quoted the building with them I asked at least twice them for a contractor contact because I want to find out the "cost to build". They wouldn't give me a contact number and told me that Steve works with contractors and will tell me if it's in my budget, he gave me a ballpark price to build $25k, they told me that the way process works that they will give me a contractor contact after I give them a deposit and its normal process. So after I gave them deposit they did give me the contractor contact number, but the quote I got from contractor to build was $74,700 + site work and + permits, so that it about $100k.

I recently dealt with both Lisa and Lauren. I found both helpful and friendly. Could not ask for a better experience in dealing with a business. Thank You.
