Frigidaire Gallery 1.5 cu ft convection microwave was a part of the appliance package for my newly constructed home, delivered in 2019. I regret ever having these products. Here lately my circuit breaker has been tripping due to some type of malfunction with the microwave. It took nearly two weeks to get a service appointment, when the day arrived for them to show up – no one called or came. When I contacted customer service, they said dispatch did not have my appointment on the calendar, despite the confirmation email that I received. I then received an appointment 4 days later. Well, that date came and went with the technician never showing up. I was later told that he had called out sick. However, no one thought of contacting the customers he was scheduled to serve that day.

I now have another appointment 2 weeks out. In total (if I am lucky) it would have taken a total of 5 weeks for someone to just come and service my microwave. I am hopeful that they can fix it when they get here. This is unacceptable! Additionally, the exterior started to wear about 18 months in. The material on the handle is like aluminum foil, it will fold in your hands if you are not careful. The unit feels cheaply made—squeaky door hinges, flimsy turntable support, uneven cooking. I’ve owned far cheaper microwaves that outlasted this one without issue. Between the breakdown, endless wait for repairs, and shoddy construction, I can’t recommend this oven to anyone. Avoid Frigidaire at all costs.

I am giving this a one rating because I cannot give any negative ratings. I purchased Frigidaire over the range microwave. Model FFMV 1846. VB. When I received it, it had included the wrong charcoal filter. The charcoal filter that I received was 3 3/4 inches by 6 inches. The filter that should be is 10.3 inches by 2.2 inches. I contacted Frigidaire's chat line that's supposed to have a live person and it was worthless—stopping it and having to call Frigidaire. Got to talk to the live agent there and explain the situation. And she kept trying to tell me how to install this filter, and I tried to explain to her that it just will not fit, there's no place to stick it. Then she told me that because I bought it on Amazon, I'd have to contact the seller on Amazon that it was not their issue. I told her that the box was new. Frigidaire had packaged it and they did it incorrectly. I will never purchase a Frigidaire item again. I had to buy a new filter.

How do I find a way to give negative stars? I am aghast at the extreme incompetence and poor customer service of this company (Frigidaire/Electrolux). I have a 1-1/2 year old Frigidaire wall oven/microwave combo that has died. It is just outside of warranty, (ok I get it, I work for a major appliance manufacturer myself), and I've opted to have the unit repaired vs buying a new one. The online chat and phone customer service has been the worst experience of my entire life. Over a month has passed since my initial service tech visit (ticket ID **) where the technician took one look at the unit (without performing any actual work) and said "I know exactly what the problem is and you need to pay in advance for these parts and labor and we'll reschedule a service call when the parts arrive in about 7 business days".

Since that day I have attempted numerous times to get updates from the online chat service as well as via the phone. Each time I get no update and am told I will have a response within 24-48 hours (744 hours has passed as of this writing and yet to receive any follow up updates). Frigidaire/Electrolux clearly has no competence, no values and no guiding principles at the leadership level, and is apparently content with swindling customers out of their money for service repair work and replacement parts with no intentions of actually repairing their units. I will spend the rest of my life advocating against anyone purchasing from this fraudulent company, and I will never allow any of my rental property managers, family or friends consider buying an Electrolux product of any kind...ever.

Frigidaire subcontracted with Whitman to repair a brand new microwave. Technician spent 5 minutes in my house to tell me parts needed to be ordered for the repair. No communication happened after that. I reached back out to find out parts were back ordered and I was told I had to reach out to Frigidaire myself to check on the timing. I went back and forth with Frigidaire for WEEKS... Very unhelpful customer services reps, and the 'back office' was no help.

They finally sent me the part. I called Whitman and scheduled the repair. When the technician was finally able to meet me, he had the part already... So now I have an extra control panel for no reason! Then he was in my house for another 5 minutes and told me the part wasn't even needed. It was just a wire. A wire that he could've fixed the first time!!!! He told me they aren't allowed to open the panel until parts are ordered, which makes zero sense. A waste of my time and a waste of resources. Unbelievably frustrating, and I had no microwave for months.

I bought an entire kitchen set in March. 2 weeks later the microwave failed. After waiting days and spending time on multiple phone calls I was finally told there is no service repair in my area. They do not cover installation or delivery and I’m pretty sure my warranty means nothing. I was finally offered a buy back. They can't even tell me the amount or when I’m receiving it. It goes through a 10 day process.

In the meantime my tenant is out a microwave in which now I have to go purchase another microwave again, also install on my own dime. What happens to my original warranty? During this process I was hung up on twice and never assured anything. I’ve always thought the consumer was always respected and if you have done everything right to cover your equipment you were treated that way. Not with this place. I am not kidding…. NEVER BUY from here. I should have done better research. Buying cheaper is not always better. Don’t do it.

Worst customer service ever. They will not let you speak to a supervisor and will not correct warranty issues. Will send you a promotional warranty, tell you to wait for a new invitation and when that expires, they will double the price for 2 microwaves; one of which you don't have because it was returned for being defective. It's a rip off with their promotional warranties because they actually want you to purchase it at full price, not the promotion.

They also said it would have to be prorated for the credit. Come on. It’s not even 9 months old. Should be replaced with a new one.

I have always thought Frigidaire was a solid brand with reliable products at a good value. Well that has changed after we bought the Frigidaire Professional series microwave. We have experienced TWO outages in the first 18 months. The first outage we had repaired. It took a month to remedy the situation. There were five parts involved and of course a few of them were back ordered. Four months later the same problem seems to have occurred (symptoms are the same). Is it a service or bad product issue? It's a microwave. This is a very mature, commodity technology that should run until it dies in ten years like all the other microwaves I have owned. The Frigidaire microwave has served as a $1200 clock (product and install cost) for us rather than a quality microwave appliance. They should be ashamed of themselves for selling such a bad product. We will not be buying Frigidaire again.

Purchased a Frigidaire wall mount microwave/oven combo just over year ago. Had to have service come out within 2 months due to a loud noise coming from microwave and power going out intermittently. Now that I'm 2 months past their "One Year Warranty", they refuse to help. Even though I've already had problems in the past. They could care less about you once you're one minute past the warranty. Not their problem anymore...

Not only that, but customer service is terrible. I called twice about our issue. You only get people with heavy foreign accents that barely speak english. The first call, the agent put me on hold to "look into the warranty". I waited over 1/2 hour before I had to hang up. The second call was the same. Agent put me on hold for 1/2 hour again. He said he'd "Be right back". I called a third time and asked for a supervisor, but was told there are NO supervisors at Frigidaire and I'm only allowed to speak to the customer service agents. I finally gave up trying to get help from them and called a local appliance company to fix the issue. I will never buy a Frigidaire product again.

We had our home custom built in 2022, with our occupancy on January 5, 2023. I clean my microwave regularly with white vinegar and water. The other day, I noticed a rough surface at the top of my microwave. I took a picture and found a 4” strip where rust is forming. I checked my warranty, which states that rust on the exterior or interior is not covered. I don’t understand how a quality product can develop rust in such a short period of time. Obviously, since this provision is clear stated in the warrant, your company knows that your materials are cheap and will quickly degrade. In our previous home, we purchase a $99 Mainstay microwave from Walmart that lasted us for 8 years with no issues or rust until we sold our home. I will never buy a Frigidaire Electrolux microwave again.

We purchased a Frigidaire gallery microwave in October 2024. First one was defective, could not be installed and was returned. The second one was installed at the end of October and at the end of December the heating element stopped working. Today the repairmen are here replacing the magnetron. One would think that for the amount of money spent on this microwave, the first one would not arrive defective before it was even installed and the second one would have lasted longer than 2 months. It is still covered by the factory warranty, but in the future, we will think long and hard before purchasing another Frigidaire product.

The plastic frame of the door below the handle on my Frigidaire over the range microwave model FFMV1846VWA broke three weeks before the warranty expired. It cracked, split and pieces fell out. Frigidaire said it was not covered under warranty because the problem was "cosmetic." Apparently, only functional problems are covered. I can't use the handle as it will continue to crack the plastic and I would call that a functional issue. In my opinion, the plastic must be defective if it can't withstand the heat of the range.

The agent wanted me to purchase a new door from her which I did on 12/9/24. It was supposed to arrive in 7-10 days. It is 12/31/24 and I just called to see where my door was. It was just shipped according to the agent and she blamed it on UPS. During both my calls to customer service, they kept trying to get me to extend warranty coverage. So if my door ever arrives and after I have a service call, the repair will cost as much as if not more than the original microwave and I bought the most expensive white one they had.

The Frigidaire Wall Oven was delivered on November 15th, 2023, and installed after a week, which is precisely one year. The product (GCWM3067AF) control panel failed a few days after the warranty date. I called support, and Mr. J.F. said the extended warranty I have would take 60 days to activate, and either I can wait 2 months to get this fixed or call Tech and pay the expense from my pocket. I bought this product trusting it would last for a long time because it has a good reputation; after having this control panel failure and calling Warranty service and getting this type of response shunts me that they are no different than other crappy products. I would suggest getting a warranty and paying hefty prices or doing your research before you buy.

I bought a Frigidaire over the range microwave Model FMOS184LBF Serial KG41912372. My handyman was too busy, to get to me in timely manner, THANKFULLY. I plugged it in on the counter, elevated by wooden planks. From the first use, it did not heat the food the right way. After a few attempts, it stopped heating all together, and then just smelled of burned plastic.

I called Frigidaire and they wanted to schedule a repair. I said, "No, it was never installed, it is back in the box." I went back and forth about plugs. Then I was told to bring it back to Lowe's for a replacement, as it was on a list of models that indicated total replacement. I was left on hold, and the agent came back and said, "Actually, you will receive an authorization email, this model is now a total refund." OK, I have to deal with my local Lowe's for that. Honestly, had I fallen for the whole repair option, where would I be? I will NEVER buy a Frigidaire product again. At least my situation with them was resolved. My handyman's busyness saved me a bunch of headaches! I looked at the Lowe's website today. THEY ARE STILL SELLING THIS MODEL!

Buyer BEWARE! Do not buy Frigidaire! We bought a microwave oven combo for our investment property from Lowe's, it worked for 3 weeks and randomly stopped. I hired an electrician to come and verify that power was good and it was, I told him not to touch the appliance as it was brand new and under warranty. Contacted Frigidaire, verified warranty period, and at first they said they wouldn't come since I had someone come look at it. I said, "No, let me stop you right there, I had someone come look at the electricity, he did not touch the appliance. This is why I know it's the appliance and not power to the machine." Long story short is that I've owned a broken appliance longer than it worked.

Frigidaire subcontracts out the repair work with a company named Electrolux, I've had 5 - 6 different technicians install part after part to tell me that the machine is not repairable. It worked on August 7th, broke August 12th and today is October 15th, if this gives you any kind of timeline... The warranty process is a joke. The 800 number gets you to come customer service rep that has no authority or ability to do anything other than read from a script and regurgitate about the warranty policy. The techs don't come with all parts that might be needed to make the repair.

They have to install 1 at a time and order whatever is next on the "it might be this part" list until they run out of options. It takes 7 to 10 business days for the part to deliver and then 3 to 5 days for the tech to come and make the repair. Their customer service is a joke, you can't speak to any managers or anyone in charge. Their corporate office has no phone number, only an address to send a letter. Then to add injury to insult the customer service reps always end the call asking if I want to purchase an extended warranty and if I will do a customer service survey.

I told them, NO, I want my appliance fixed!! Now after reading others' reviews that are now at the point of "non-repairable" I'm worried I'll never have it fixed nor get a replacement. I wish I would've done better research on this company before buying this appliance. Please please do yourself a favor and stay away from FRIGIDAIRE! They do not care about their consumers. It’s just about 3 months that we moved in to our new house but the microwave was no longer heating. Everything works but not the heating. I tried every possible way on my end to fix using YouTube but to no avail until I contacted customer service. I was set up initially last week for 12-5 but because I was working, I was able to get to my phone by 4 and I called. But they cancelled my appointment. Then I rescheduled it this Friday since I don’t have work. But I was scheduled 8-5.

The technician showed up at past 3 and then told me that he needs to order the parts like the magnetron, capacitor and diode. He initially rescheduled me for the 15th but then later on that day, I received a notification that it is now 22nd. It has been almost three weeks that we do not have a microwave and can you imagine 21 days without the microwave. It’s just that we do not have a choice since it was the set of appliances that was provided by the builder for our house but the repair/technical service was bad. The technician could have reviewed our complaint that it’s not heating up such that he can order the parts in advance but he went to the house without the parts. So we have to wait for about 2 weeks again for the repair. Does not make sense at all.

I’m at a loss and maybe this post will get some attention because I don’t know what else to do other than go Legal with it. I have been without an oven since June 23rd, keep in mind this brand new oven/microwave combo has only been installed a little over 8 months at this point. The digital panel just quit working which controlled the whole unit, therefore I’m out a microwave and an oven.

The technician has come out many many times and he continues ordering parts that clearly don’t fix the issue. He has been out at least 5 times if not more. The last 14 parts that were ordered have been on back order for well over a month and neither Frigidaire or Sears will get on the same page to replace the whole unit. I’ve called both companies at least 10 times in the past month to see if they can find available parts at another warehouse with no luck so you would think they would agree to replace to unit for the customer's sake. Sears blames it on Frigidaire and vice versa.

Purchased a Frigidaire microwave 4 about months ago from Home Depot. When it died HD sent us to Frigidaire “helpline” handle it. Had to wait several days for a return call. When they finally called back they set up an appointment for a service call that was about a week out. The following week we got a confirmation that a tech would be arriving on the agreed-upon date. The problem was that they had scheduled the appointment for our primary address and not the property where the microwave was… about an hour away from the scheduled address.

Rather than dealing with customer service, we drove to our other house (55 miles away) brought the microwave back to our primary home and waited for the tech. He never showed up. We called Frigidaire and found they had cancelled the appointment…even after they sent several confirmation texts and a phone call the night before. My husband spent close to an hour calling them (not sure where their call desk is but it’s not somewhere that English is their primary language) and after begging them to send a tech that day the best they could offer was another appointment two days later.

When the tech finally showed up he looked at the microwave, checked his bag and then said “Uh I don’t have the right tool to unscrew the back of the microwave. Is there a hardware store close by?” He finally decided...without ever looking inside the microwave... that he needed to order some sort of part (one tiny little piece) and as soon as it was sent to us they could schedule a time to come back out. It did come about 5 days later and we called to let them know. They made an appointment a couple of days out… and we waited.

Yesterday we called to confirm and they said it was on the schedule, Not 30 minutes later we get a text that said the tech had cancelled the order because all the parts hadn’t arrived. One little part? And it was at our house! As you might imagine at this point we are about to throw in the towel and just let them think they won this game they’re playing. All this for a mid-priced microwave! It’s beyond frustrating. For sure we will never consider a Frigidaire product and will let someone who cares at Home Depot (is that an oxymoron?) our experience in dealing with something that they should have handled in the first place. Frigidaire obviously has a high problem with how they handle customer service problems and apparently at their company no one cares.
