I bought. Freezer Frigidaire model FFUE2022AWO. From the get go it’s frosting especially on top two shelfs. Can’t reach their customer service but once in a blue moon and no help to them! So I called for a service man, locally, he said the door inside is bent near the seal. Nothing we did but many come that way. I hate Frigidaire and will never buy or recommend their products. Now it’s costing me 300 plus tax to get a new door. I will use GE from now on. I finally reached FRIGIDAIRE customer service today and he even suggested I buy the door from Amazon and it would be cheaper. There is nothing wrong with the seal. It’s the inside part of the door that is bent and allows air inside. Do not buy Frigidaire.

Tried for 3 years to get freezer fixed. Stopped running 2 yrs 5 months ago. Repair service has attempted to repair at least three times. Frigidaire cannot fix their own product. Had to buy competitor's product to get a working freezer. Frigidaire keeps telling me to get service repairmen to fix, but last one said it would never work. Contacted Frigidaire, they said to get serviceman to repair. They'll not honor their 3 yr extended warranty. And continue to give a run-a-round. Don't buy Frigidaire products they are no good.

Bought 3 stand up freezers (16 feet) early 2021, built in October 2020. Compressor in 1 broke down, cost of replacement almost as much as buying a new freezer. Unfortunately warranty is only 1 year (My mistake. Should have checked before as I would not have bought with such a flimsy warranty). Frigidaire takes the view (legally correct) that it is not their problem. My recommendation, stay away from products of this company, clearly they have no confidence in their products and will not stand by them.

About a year I go my family and I purchased the model. Above within one month it went into this automatic defrost and the temperature will not come back. Called repair guy. Got a new compressor. 1 month later once again it did the defrost, temperature does not come back. This time we got new coils and something else. It worked again for a two more months. Had another $2,000 worth of meat in it and it goes into defrost again and doesn't come back. They said it was a motherboard. Well here we are after one year and we are having a yet another defrost dilemma. It done it again and won't come back. The freezer is a lemon. Do not purchase. I repeat do not purchase. I will no longer purchase frigidaire Frigidaire products.

We purchased the column Freezer in 2021, and immediately had leaking issues, which was due to a cracked hose inside the insulation and could not be fixed so we were issued a replacement. 2 replacements has noticeable scratches on the front door when we received them and a 3rd replacement attempt was so bad that it never left their warehouse. We have been arguing with Frigidaire for nearly 18 months now, and were recently told that their policy has a maximum of 3 replacement attempts, and after that point, all they can do is issue a credit. So somehow the company has the inability to successfully deliver a functioning new condition freezer, but because of their ineptitude, the customer has to suffer on a product we paid for. We will never buy another product from Frigidaire.

We purchased this unit 11/18/2020. From the first day it was very noisy when it ran. Now for the last few days it runs continuously and will not shut down. We have been manually adjusting the temp ourselves. I called Frigidaire and they will not offer any help for a 2 year old unit. They did offer to call a repairman of their choosing but after questioning we found out we will have to pay for it. This unit was under $300 so repair seems like a waste of money on something so new. Seems from reading other reviews this company produce disposable products. We will never purchase another Frigidaire product again. Run from this company!

Bought this unit (20 CuFt upright freezer) and slowly filled it as confidence increased. Then suddenly it defrosted entirely over a couple days and lost well over $1200 in food. Have now tried for 3 days to reach the company but every attempt (up to 18 tries now) have resulted in "Sorry we cannot take your call at this time"! It was an expensive unit, was delivered on time but now I have a boat anchor with no way to have it repaired as the company is unresponsive and using an after market repair company does not make sense on a unit only a couple months old that probably will fail again!
Out thousands of $$$ by a shady fly-by-night outfit! Very ANGRY Home Depot sells this crap as I have now seen dozens of reviews and similar circumstances so this is apparently a know problem - the HD reviews were all positive at the time I made the purchase suggesting they edit reviews only to show positive ones to sell more of this JUNK. HD will not do anything - typical NO SERVICE AFTER THE SALE. Sell disposable junk so it has to be replaced - but after only a few months for expensive items use then failing causing further personal financial loss is unacceptable! I would strongly suggest no one ever buy any product made by this company as they apparently have become scam artists and offer no support for high priced crap!

We purchased a 20cf upright Frigidaire freezer, model number FFUE2022AW on 1/7/22 at an Electronics Express store. Freezer broke around May 6th 2022, it stopped cooling. Contacted the Electronic Express store where it was purchased. Since it was past 30 days, we were referred to Frigidaire warranty. We contacted them to set up a repair appt. They stated after 3 repair attempts, we could request a refund or replacement. Between May 16th to Sept 1st, we have had 10 scheduled repairs visits with 3 different repair companies. Each time the freezer would work for 3 days and stop getting cold. It lasted a month after the final repair until it broke again on Oct 3rd 2022.
We have contacted Frigidaire numerous times to resolve this by requesting a refund for the defective unit. We keep getting delayed and given the run around in an effort to run out our warranty. The freezer only worked 4 months and has been broken and unusable for the last 6 months. In our last call to Frigidaire, the representative lied and told us we were approved for a refund but emailed me paperwork for an exchange with the store (I have a recording of the rep blatantly lying to me). We contacted the store and were told they only offer store credit as a favor to Electrolux/Frigidaire. They will not honor their warranty and give us a refund.
There are numerous complaints online for their freezers and refrigerator having the same cooling problems and my model freezer is cited several times. These units should be recalled. We have lost hundreds in food and the last 6 months have been a nightmare. The common problems I keep seeing is the loss of coolant, leaks with their closed system cooling. The fact that many of these units don't last the first year is a red flag. They made dealing with their warranty department a huge hassle. This company is a scam and they are currently in a recall for their fridge models. There should be a class action against them for knowingly selling defective products. I'm beyond sick with dealing with them. All we want is a refund and to end our relationship with Frigidaire forever.

I purchased the 20cCF upright freezer in July 2020. It was on backorder and wasn't delivered due to COVID until 10/26/2020. I was remodeling by the time it was delivered and didn't even get to plug it in until December 2020. I found all my food thawed at the end of July 2021. I called an appliance repair company who came out early August and said the compressor was "dead". I called Frigidaire to see if it was under warranty, since the repair would be basically the cost of a new freezer. However, because the freezer was over 1 year old from date of purchase, it was no longer under warranty. I did not have the extended warranty. However, I was told they would provide a 'one-time courtesy' for the repair, to include parts and labor and Frigidaire sent out another local appliance repair company to my house (not the one I previously used).
The repair man confirmed the compressor was "dead". I assumed he was there to actually FIX the freezer. Instead, he said he had to go back to order the compressor. He called me later that day to tell me the compressor was no longer available and therefore the freezer could not be repaired. After much back and forth and months later, Frigidaire offered 40% off a new purchase. That doesn't help the fact I am out so much money; the cost ($1200) for the freezer, $100 for the repair man I called, now Frigidaire refuses to cover the cost of the repair man THEY sent to my house!
When I called, I was told the "one time courtesy" only included PARTS! I tried to deal with Customer Service (over 75mins), including the ONLY supervisor I was allowed to speak to, saying there was no one higher than herself... and hearing over and over again "Sorry, there is nothing we can do". How can a billion dollar company not stand behind their products and parts. Furthermore, the Frigidaire website would not allow me to post this exact review, stating the following: "Mention a competitor, Includes personally identifiable information,. Mentions shipping complaints (to me, it was a detail worth mentioning due to delay in shipping and COVID - nothing to do with Frigidaire or the freezer), Including inappropriate media, Contains a URL, Is vague or needs more detail, Includes profanity."

I had purchased a brand new freezer (Frigidaire) August 11th (one month ago). It was completely defrosted one day and we threw out EVERYTHING. A service rep informed me that the warranty only covers repairs and food loss is our loss. If you cannot provide food loss compensation to a 1 month old unit, what does that say about your products? Additionally, while attempting to argue my case a "supervisor" (which took me a good 20 min to finally be connected with) she said "goodbye" and hung up two min ago. Horrible service.

I'm a neck cancer survivor and because of radiation treatment to my neck I have no salivary glands. Also from the radiation (equal to about 26,000 X-rays) my sense of taste has changed. Water now tastes like saltwater and trying to drink it actually makes me sick. I have no trouble with ice so consequently I use a LOT of it. Our refrigerator ice maker stopped working last year so we bought an Igloo countertop ice maker thinking it made sense as Igloo is obviously well known for their coolers. It was okay although the filter kept clogging requiring taking it out and cleaning it once a week and mold would grow if it was off more than a few hours.
Anyway last month after only 9 months it quit working so after some research I bought a Frigidaire model EFIC117-SS countertop model from Walmart for $108. I'm astounded by how much better this is than the Igloo was even when it was new. It's faster, makes much better ice pellets and puts out much less heat than the one we replaced. Granted we have only had it for two weeks but I also bought a two year unlimited warranty for $18 additional. If anything happens I will update but thus far we are extremely happy with our purchase.

I purchased my Frigidaire freezer in 2021, it was bigger and more expensive than I wanted to spend but because of the pandemic they were limited options. When the freezer was delivered shut up I filled up with product and within 30 days it broke down. I contacted Frigidaire after 10 days somebody showed up replace the fan and I was told this is a common issue with these freezers and they knew it when they put them in production. Four months later the freezer went down again. When the repair company came out he said a common product was that the master boards go out and that’s the only fix that’s going to stop the problem are they going to do an auto defrost. They sent me the kit. They told me to install it myself or wait another three weeks for them to come back and do their job.
30 days ago the freezer went down again so three times I have lost hundreds of dollars of food and the only thing the company did was offer me a $200 visa card for my problem. I had to get an extended warranty on it and because I did that they forget all the repairs and all other problems. You start over 100% with this company, so the fact that it broke down and their rise this is the first time. The people that come and fix it don’t carry parts so I’m on my third week of waiting for the part to be shipped to me then I need to call the company to come out and fix it again while Frigidaire will do nothing. Then I’ll call themselves Electrolux. This company is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Their products are junk. The repairs are junk and all I know is I am out $1000 for a freezer and probably close to $1000 in food. Do not buy Frigidaire products.

We looked up the possibe cause, and fix, of the frost which has been developing on the ceiling and door in the top right corner. We were surprised to find that others were having the same problem but there is no real fix. The seal seems solid and everything looks OK. We bought the freezer as a scratch and dent. It ran fine for almost 2 months until this happened. Our old freezer lasted 30 year and was also an upright. Very glad we did not buy this one at full price. The others with the same problem were purchased new. Some reviews indicate they attempted to repair the problem, without success.

We bought a upright freezer from Home Depot in December of 2020. By February of 2021 it quit freezing. We had a hassle getting a warranty repair on it and took 2 months to get a repairman to look at it. Then it took another 10 months to get the parts to fix it. The original door was warped from the factory and when we got a new one it was dented from shipping. So for 10 months no working freezer and had to store our food in a old freezer from 1980, which is rusty and still working, I'm glad I saved it out behind the wood shed instead of taking it to the landfill. Now after 5 months of working the great Frigidaire doesn't freeze again. Home Depot won't reimburse us for selling a ** product and says it's Frigidaire product and they won't reimburse us either. I think everyone that has one of these Frigidaire freezers should make a class action lawsuit against Frigidaire and get reimbursed the full amount for buying a ** product that doesn't work!

I bought this freezer from HD last year on 12/22/20. Shortly after, the interior lights stopped working - this was the first service call. The technician came out and discovered a switch went bad and replaced it. The unit was running well for a few months but then during July we started to hear the unit beeping and the LED indicator light continuously flashed. I kept trying to close the door to make it stop beeping but that didn't work.
In August 2021, the door started to show signs of frost along the door seal, and the interior was thawing out. I called for support but Frigidaire couldn't get a technician out for over two weeks. By this time, we lost all of our food. Frigidaire would not pay for the food we lost even though it was several hundred dollars worth. The technician came out, made a repair to the door and said to keep an eye on it. This was repair #2, all within 8 months of purchasing the freezer. A week later, I had to call the technician back out, for repair #3. I was informed we have a bad door and need a new one. The lead-time is/was 18-20 weeks! They told us to turn off the unit and wait.
It's Oct. 2021, almost a year since purchasing this unit. We've had for the unit for less than one year and haven't been able to use it for more than a few months at a time before it breaks. Frigidaire won't send us a replacement unit but they constantly send emails to upgrade our factory warranty! Let me get this right-you won't stand by your products and want me to pay more money for a defective unit? On top of that, we're going on service call #4 and that won't guarantee it will be fixed.
They should honor their products and warranty and swapped out this lemon. Completely unacceptable for a $1,000 freezer. I tried to post a review on their website and of course they blocked it. What are they trying to hide with my review. Isn't that the point of reviews, getting consumers' feedback on actual issues and then going back to your product team and fixing your products?

I have read other people's reviews and see I am not the only one with the problem. The last time the repairman came out in August he just melted the ice around the fan and put the panel back on. Today the freezer has iced up again. In August I asked for a refund from customer service. Never heard back from them after being told they would send my request to the replacement review board. I called customer service today. They did not give me any info regarding my request from August. I bought the freezer and it was delivered in late February. It work fine until July 4th weekend. Then everything started to thaw from the top down. I was directed to a local appliance repair shop and they installed the repair kit as this has been a known problem of ice from the defrost cycle getting into the fan area and freezing the fan up. Lost most of my food that time. The fix appeared to work until the middle of September, fan must have frozen up and now it doesn’t work. Parts will have to be ordered for this repair. More food lost. The repair man said they have repaired over 700 of these. Frigidaire fix your design issues and do not sell more units until you do. Can I ever trust this freezer will work like it is suppose to?

Now I've complained to electrolux/frigidaire customer service about my freezer still not fix, they will hang up a phone in you and leave you to limbo what's their next approach gonna be. Plus you need to be in the phone line for an hour before you can get hold of these people, and still they don't have any answer on how to resolve my freezer issue. Do Not Buy. This Frigidaire upright freezer has been the worst I have ever had! Bought in June 2020 and in July 2020, it stopped working. I lost food and hours later after unplugging and plugging it in it started up again. Why, I have no idea? Happened again in November of 2020! Lost food again, had to distribute food throughout my neighbourhood to save what we could. Thank goodness for good neighbours! Repairman came out replaced motherboard and sensor. He said little can go wrong with these freezers. I beg to differ.
I have been more than patient! I finally called Costco and explained the situation and said I am tired of babysitting my freezer, losing food, finding storage for my freezer food and that this was unreasonable to expect me to keep doing this. It wasn't right that I would need to keep relocating my food until someone figured out again, what was wrong with it!!
Costco has been great. Said I should not have had to go through all of this and took it back! Unfortunately it was replaced with a newer model (even though this freezer is only a year old) of this one and I am really skeptical. However the first sign of a thaw again and it goes back and I am done with Frigidaire. I had to take this freezer in order to have one and get my food back from my neighbourhood. Like I said I am very leary and skeptical but at this point no choice. Do not purchase this freezer would be my opinion and suggestion.
I am reviewing this freezer on this forum because I wrote this on the Frigidaire reviews since they wanted my review and was told, and I quote from their email back to me, "Our staff has read your review and values your contribution even though it did not meet all our website guidelines. Thanks for sharing, and we hope to publish next time!" I said nothing in my review derogatory or inaccurate. This happened to me and it is what it is. I suppose they only want good reviews. That's not what reviews are about! Frigidaire is difficult to contact and worse for support!

We purchased the 20cu ft Frigidaire freezer because we bought a 1/2 of farm fed beef and pig to put in it. We received the freezer and turned it on with no issues. We left to go on vacation for 1 week came back and found all of our food was thawed and warm. We called the store where it was purchased and they sent a service person out and found that the freezer had started working again and even froze the water that was left in freezer as test. The service tech said the issue was the door was warped and needed to be replaced.
Since that point frigidaire was contacted and notified of our loss of 1500.00 in meat and their response was, "We can only give you 200.00." So 2 issues happened. The freezer quit working cause the meat to spoil and then refroze which if we hadn't caught it would have caused food poisoning. I would not recommend this product to anyone and we did not accept a replacement. The store we purchased the Freezer from Gladly returned our money. That was the only positive that came out of this.

I would not advise anyone to buy this Frigidaire freezer, or any of their products. The freezer was bought from Home Depot at the end of April and started having problems 1 week ago. Customer Service was called, they heard the bad noise it was making, became alarmed and said they would get right away. They could only get one 2 days away, on Friday morning. Thursday afternoon, I get a call that the repair person cannot come until the following Wed. When asked why, they said Frigidaire contracts repair companies and when they, Frigidaire, contacts the repair companies dispatch for the appt Frigidaire then does not get the paperwork to the repair company in an efficient, so the appt could be lost, which it was.
The freezer went out entirely Friday night. So, we were stuck over the weekend when Frigidaire is closed (not sure I know of any other large national company that cannot be reached over weekends). The specs on the freezer indicate if the freezer is full and you don't open the door, the food will stay frozen for 48 hours. Yesterday, Sunday morning, I had a feeling I should finally open the door and check. Some of the food was already starting to smell, so that aspect of the freezer is not accurate. The meat was still frozen, but everything else was not. Luckily, I opened it, so didn't lose the meat. I loaded as much food into our refrigerator freezer and refrigerator, but it does not fit all of it. The rest is in the freezer still with ice packs.
In calling Frigidaire this morning and they said there is nothing they can do to get someone out sooner, or compensate for lost food or hassles, because they are not responsible for the contractors they hire. That is classic "passing the buck". It is their product, and their policies, that cause their inefficiency and terrible customer service. That is why I say don't buy Frigidaire at all because it is not just the product, it's their entire customer service and processes that don't work. And, Home Depot takes no responsibility either for appliances after 48 hours. Their return policy is 90 days for just about everything else.

I purchased a Frigidaire upright freezer in Jan. 2021. In April the fan was making a lot of noise like it was hitting something. I called Frigidaire since it was still under warranty. Got a call back from Electrolux the parent company. I was told to troubleshoot it myself first then call them back. I could not get to the fan without taking off the back panel inside so I called back. A serviceperson came out a week later, took off the panel and said that ice had built up by the fan and behind the temp control knob. He needed to get parts to add to the area. He took the ice off and said it will probably happen again until he can fix it. He ordered the parts and they were on back order.
It took another 3 weeks to get the parts then several days to get an appt. for the guy to come back. He installed the parts and made the drain hole bigger. Now it's July 13 and it happened again. This time I took off the panel myself and there was once again ice. I removed it but it will happen again. This is a design flaw. I would not recommend buying this product.

Went to the orange big box mart knowing which model and price I wanted (a 25 ft3 chest that was on sale). Because of COVID, they were out of stock on the sale item but they did have a 27 ft3 chest that was a floor model they would sell me at a discounted price. The unit works well and is much more thrifty on electricity.

We had it for 4 years, but we had purchased an extended warranty on it when it was bought. The company that tried to fix it, couldn't so it was replaced under the warranty. This one is going on 7 years old and no problems. We keep it in the garage and it works just fine. It is a stand up one and it has plenty of room in it. As an appliance technician, I recommend the Chest Freezers, Frigidaire, they are the most reliable and the ones that I have repaired the least for their durability and quality. It is important to choose a freezer with these characteristics due to the importance of keeping frozen food in good condition and avoiding moments of panic when freezers have failures. Low consumption and silent operation.

As chest freezers go I'm not totally stoked at the quality, more like 3.5 stars. But the size was huge 24cf, the price is right, it's frost free & highly energy efficient so the annoyances are of the functional design. The door doesn't open all the way & doesn't stay open, the door won't close if you fill up the provided baskets even to the top of them. These would be easy changes during manufacturing.

Terrible Customer Support. I purchased this 20 cu ft freezer from Costco in October. In less than a month and a half, the freezer was no longer working and the temp inside was above 0. The temp control knob would not adjust and I was desperate to get help from Frigidaire to get a technician out before losing a 100 lbs of meat. Frigidaire could not be reached by phone nor could messages be left due to high volume of calls for several days. They did not respond to my email to this day. Not once was I able to speak to a representative. Thankfully it was below zero where I live and was able to keep food in coolers before it spoiled.
Ultimately I returned the freezer to Costco. I caution anyone buying this unit if anything goes wrong with it don’t expect any help from Frigidaire. Thankfully Costco was great to deal with and took it back without question. I just purchased the same type from Costco because it is a good price for the size I need but will get the extended warranty with Costco this time. I hope I won’t get burned by this decision.

It was ordered through Homedepot.com. Home Depot locally and Home Depot.com will not take responsibility for this miserable product. Frigidaire refers me to Electrolux and Electrolux does not respond. I've disputed the charge on my credit card. Electrolux has 30 days to respond to the dispute. Each time Electrolux has responded a few days before the 30 day deadline and I have to start the entire process over. Home Depot locally will charge a $200 restocking fee if I return the unit to them. I've had two repair companies look at this piece of junk and both have said it is defective and poorly manufactured.

Plugged it in, waited, filled with food. A week later it died. Called Home Depot, they gave me the run around (won't be shopping there again!). Finally got a repairman out. He "fixed" it, a week later same thing. Home Depot will not refund the money. So, I give them money for a freezer, it does not work, but they say it is not their responsibility. Well then they should not be in business, because businesses are responsible for products they sell. We need a class action lawsuit for these freezers and for Home Depot.

My advice: if offered a choice of a Frigidaire or some other brand, choose the other brand. We bought a brand new upright freezer on June 23 from a store that we have been doing business with for over 15 years. Had it delivered, and when plugged in, the freezer lights came on, you could hear the fan working, but it never got cold to temp of a refrigerator, much less to the freezing point.
Called the toll free number, got treated to a mentally challenged robot who was programmed to understand every language except English. Finally got put on hold for 32 minutes, only to be told by a young lady that this was not the number to call for the freezers, I needed to call the Electrolux toll free. I asked her if she was certain, and she got snotty with me. By the tone of her voice, I am guessing she marched a lot the past month with her BLM buddies. I surmise she doesn't like people of the ** persuasion. I called the number she gave me, which was the wrong number for the wrong product line. Big surprise there. Tried calling a second time and the robot put me on hold, then disconnected me. Tried three more times with the same result..
Went to the Frigidaire site and got on the live chat. Finally, getting somewhere! She arranged for a repairman to come to the house this morning (June 26). The guy calls and tell me that the unit has parts that are under recall, and most likely this is the problem. I asked if he was coming out to make CERTAIN that this was the issue, and he got rude with me, told me to shut up, that he had already ordered the parts and that he knew what he was talking about and I didn't. Asked him how long it would take for parts and he told me anywhere from two weeks to over a month, it depends on how far down the list his claim was.
I called the store we bought it from, and the manager called his warehouse to see if any recalls had been issued on this freezer model. None had been issued, According to the service person they hired to come out and repair the unit (who refused to come out and perform a diagnostic to ensure that this was indeed the problem), Frigidaire released this model for sale knowing it was defective, knowing that people would lose their groceries to spoilage when they put them in the freezer, and knowing that getting qualified customer service was going to be next to impossible.

***I wish I had read all of the negative reviews on Home Depot's website prior to purchasing this freezer. I believe them all to be true from what I have witnessed. In short: 1) Poor product 2) Terrible customer service. So here is what happened in my case. I purchased this freezer online from Home Depot. This unit failed within 3 days of receiving it. It stopped cooling. I contacted Home Depot, they directed me to contact Frigidaire support. Frigidaire sent out a technician; he said the control board is dead and it will take 3 to 10 business days to get the part.
I contacted Frigidaire again and asked them to swap the unit since it is brand new (3 days old). The customer service rep. told me that since it is repairable, they will not swap the unit. I asked if he could at least try to ship the necessary part overnight so my food won't all go bad. After checking, he determined that that part was too new and not available as a replacement part and would have to replace the freezer. Wow, that was what I had originally asked for; However, it will take two days for them to determine what to do -- hmm.
I asked if they could let me borrow a freezer until my new freezer is repaired or replaced so all of my food will not go bad. He said, "We do not warranty the food, only the freezer." So I'm out of luck. At that point I gave up. What really worries me is that they send a new freezer, I fill it up, and it breaks down leaving me with another chest full of spoiled food. I am also upset with Home Depot, they should back the products they sell, not pawn me off to the manufacturer. I tried to submit this review on the Home Depot website, but they rejected it. DO NOT BUY a Frigidaire, their customer service is terrible and this product is just junk!

About the middle of last year I started having a large amount of ice collect in the front top and on the top of the door and left side of door. THOSE ARE THE ONLY PLACES. They set me up with 2 of the service companies that handle their warranty and they were no shows/no confirmation of appt. AL Power did finally show up (3rd company) the first week of Dec, end of Dec, and beginning of January and serviceman was told by Electrolux tech that there was nothing else they could do cause "it was due to humidity and heat". HOW STRANGE THAT FOR 7 YRS I HAD NO PROBLEM AND IT'S NOT ICING UP IN THE ENTIRE FREEZER JUST THOSE 2 SPOTS.
The seasons have been the same in all those years. We have not moved from this location nor have we moved the freezer. They are sending out the 4th company to check it out next week and that is all they have working for them. But the supervisor basically told me "sorry nothing we can do. Live with it." It is now making a noise (not the compressor that sounds about normal) but it now has a noise that sounds like something is trying turn on... like pulsing on and off sound. I am so afraid it's going out that I have very little in my freezer and I NEED IT WORKING. I in good faith bought this product and have paid my warranty for 8 years. They can't even keep service people that are faithful. They need to be sure they are dependable. The only company that did show "Alabama Power” is not going to do their warranties after February. ABC is coming next week. I pray they will be able to help.
My question if anyone has a suggestion, is if they tell me "there is nothing we can do" do I have anything I can do to get them to make good this product. There is a lemon law but I don't know how to get them to accept it. I was told by company I bought it from to ask for replacement voucher but they said no. If someone can help me, and I have already told them this too, I will not renew my warranty (I CAN JUST ABOUT GUARANTEE THEY ARE TRYING TO WAIT FOR THIS WARRANTY TO EXPIRE) THEN what??? Keeps my food at right temp for freezing. Does not build up ice that has to be defrosted too fast. Storage space is big enough for monthly stock ups. Easy to retrieve anything I need to take out from it. Does not take up a lot of room, and does what it is intended for. If I had to replace it I would buy the same brand. Have recommended this brand to family and friends. They have looked into this brand and some have purchased the same brand and are happy with their purchase.

It’s great and it’s a brand that has been around for a while. It doesn't disappoint. This freezer is the perfect size and the upright size makes it great for organization. Space-saving upright freezer perfect for small spaces. Just the right amount of space for me. Easy to move and no fuss easy to use. It keeps the food frozen and I haven't noticed a change in our electric bill! I hope it last a long time. It works as advertise but maybe a thermometer inside so I can see the temp in it. But as long as it works it keeps me happy.

Excellent experience with this brand. I always had this brand and I like it a lot. It is very solid and I never had issues. That is high quality and it can live for years. Also, I like the capacity to do ice, crushed or in cubes. They have a good capacity too and I can organize as I want inside. But they could improve the design, I always find not enough options for what I like visually. Even if they can improve this, I prefer a solid fridge and not so pretty than a pretty that is death after 2 months. Otherwise I would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking a durable fridge.

Frigidaire FFFU14F2QW. We purchased this freezer late in 2016. It has begun leaking puddles of water all over the floor. We have to keep bath towels down to prevent the water from draining into and ruining the molding in our kitchen. The problem began gradually and is now an almost daily occurrence. There also seems to be some sort of problem during the frost free defrost cycle because we have noticed that the food inside seems to be warming up and then refreezing creating freezer burn. We have checked all controls and it is set according to Frigidaire's recommendations. We have checked the manual and this problem is not listed in troubleshooting. Called Frigidaire and were told, "Hmmm, I don't know there is nothing in the manual. Call a service man."

In Aug 2016 I purchased a Frigidaire upright freezer from Sears. I thought it would be a quality product and last for years and years. I stuck to a basic model without all the electronic gizmos, keep it simple and should be less trouble. Well in month 14 October 2017, I noticed some items were a little soft. I thought it may be defrosting. Next day I noticed the freezer never shut off. I could hear it keep humming. The sides were at room temperature, normally the side gets slightly warm when the freezer is cooling. I read the troubleshooting guides. Checked the thermostat, Working correctly. Checked for the evaporator to be frozen over, it was not. Verified it is not in defrost cycle and stuck, it was not. Reset the defrost to cooling, the compressor is getting voltage but not running, checked the capacitors, passed test.
I contacted Sears to ask about any warranty. Warranty is for 12 Months, No additional on the compressor. Just out of luck. A repairman can be scheduled to arrive in a week to troubleshoot and give an estimate of repair for a service fee of $89.00. Well, Ain't that great! 600+ dollar freezer shot + 800 dollars of beef about to spoil + asking for close to 100 dollars to be told it is not worth repairing. "Cannot give any type of estimate without a service tech looking at it." So I Researched compressor repairs, they typically cost between 280 to 350 dollars plus two to three weeks turn around. So I go to Lowe's, Purchase a new freezer and purchase the extended warranty Plus they have free delivery. I did cash and carry, was able to install the same day and save the 800 dollars of beef. DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE - Poor Quality and YOU ARE STUCK.

I purchased an upright Frigidaire freezer (model LFFH17F3QWC) from Lowe's the day after Black Friday. After getting the unit delivered and set up I let it run continuously for a week. When I went to fill the freezer I found that it never cooled (it was 70 degrees inside the freezer). After going through Frigidaire's customer service they sent out a repair technician. He assessed exactly what I advised on the phone... that the unit was plugged in and running, but not cooling. I was told they would have to come back to find the refrigerant leak and repair it.
A freezer with an unknown refrigerant leak is NOT acceptable as a brand new unit. I called Frigidaire customer service to request they replace the unit and was informed that it is their policy to repair the unit. So now I have to borrow a truck and a helping hand (because my pregnant wife is not best option for heavy lifting) to return the freezer before Christmas to get it returned within the Lowe's 30 day return policy. This is a poor policy by Frigidaire. Sending units leaking refrigerant into customer's homes and not replacing them is not a customer centered business position.

Freezer stopped freezing, we called Frigidaire and never received a callback. Called a repairman and he couldn't schedule us for another 2 days. Repairman came out and said the compressor was out, it was much too small for such a big freezer and the compressor was overworked. He said that's how they can call it energy efficient. The repair cost would be over the original cost of the freezer. So, 100.00 into the repairman, 700.00 for the freezer and about 900.00 worth of spoiled food. I made several more calls to Frigidaire & actually spoke with a real person, they said the manager would call back. Surprise, no callback. I am at my wits end. 3-month-old freezer went out and Im 5 weeks without a freezer and cant seem to get Frigidaire's attention. Their proposed repair is unacceptable. Installing an external coil onto a new freezer is unacceptable. My freezer is in a laundry room and those coils will get lint on them & require continual cleaning to function properly. And it certainly has no resemblance to the energy efficiency of the unit I spent $700 on. This company is irresponsible with their repairs and I consider blocking negative reviews unethical.
In this day & age when the consumer is supposed to be empowered with a voice I apparently have no recourse and no way of letting others know that this company is unethical. I am not exactly sure when the Frigidaire and Kenmore frost-free upright freezers started being manufactured by Electrolux but I bought one of the first models in a frost-free upright from Sears in 2001. I fully expected it to last as long as my first upright, purchased in 1979 which is still chugging along for my friend I sold it to. This freezer has broken down 3 times and is now just a piece of junk as the parts that might fix it are no longer made as it is more than 10 years old. The first 2 repairs were quick and easy, the defrost thermometer died. The second repair was done by a wonderful older man who said that it was a design flaw that they had fixed in later models.
More than a year ago (April 2015) it died again. The temperature alarm didn't go off at all. Luckily, I caught it before the food totally unfroze but a number of things, like berries, other fruit and veggies were toast. I put it on "quick freeze" until the guy from Sears turned up. The guy clearly knew nothing about freezers as he told me that I had packed it too full of food so that there was no air circulation. He said that "the shelves have bars in them that I should keep clear so the cold air could circulate". Even I know that the air circulates down the sides and along the back!!! So this breakdown was my fault and I pay for not just the service call but also for his helpful advice. It stopped again and I made it clear that I didn't want the last "serviceman" I had had. The next one replaced the defrost thermometer again but I lost everything in the freezer... over $1200 worth of food, when that repair didn't help.
After frantically calling the service centre in an attempt to not lose the food, I was told that the first available appointment was 3 weeks away. When I explained that it was an emergency, they said they could send someone out that night. Well, guess who was supposed to come? The knowledgeable first tech who refused to come because I had complained about him treating me like a "dumb blonde". He refused to come. I was then told that someone would be at my house the next morning at 8 am. I explained that I had a funeral to attend at 11 am, so it was very important that the repair guy arrived on time. I phoned 5 times between 8:30 and 10:30 am to try to get things worked out but they couldn't reach the guy.
I went to the funeral and found out, when I turned on my phone after the service that he had been at my house at 11 am. Since I wasn't there, I couldn't get another appointment for at least a couple of days as they didn't work on Sunday and they had a backlog. By this time, my patience is in the toilet, so I start emailing Electrolux about the 2 parts I think may be the problem. I want them to check their warehouse to see if they have these parts. Basically, they told me that they have nothing to do with the product after it is shipped to the seller. After 6 emails to get this information, I sent an email to several people in the upper echelons suggesting that they should have stuck with vacuum cleaners, as their appliances were pieces of fecal matter.
I have spent countless hours trying to find the necessary parts... the electronic assembly or the temperature controller as I have an independent repair guy in and he tells me that they are the only parts that could be malfunctioning. Sears Direct in the US has one and only one electronic assembly. After about 12 phone calls and about 15 or so emails, they finally agree to ship it to Canada. We agree that it will go to the Parts Depot here and that I will receive a call when it arrives. They said it would take about 10 days so on day 11, I call the Parts Depot to see if it has arrived and to give them my information again so they can call me when it comes in. I called several times in the next three weeks but still no part. Each time I provided 2 phone numbers at which I could be contacted.
In week 4, I am told that it was sent back to the US as no one had picked it up. A bit difficult to pick it up when you don't know it was there and especially when no one called. The person I spoke with got quite snippy when it appeared the part had arrived on the 11th day and that I was contacted to come to pick it up as marked on their paperwork. The freezer stopped working even on quick freeze a month or 2 later. The part I had ordered from Sears Direct had gone to someone else and all attempts to "jury-rig" a solution to the temperature control were unsuccessful. I am going to buy a freezer I have to defrost with no electronic parts. Hopefully, the place I buy it from will remove the eyesore from my basement at no extra charge as the lowest price I could find to remove it was $150.00 as there is a recycling fee. The depot is 13 blocks away.
I will never buy anything from Sears again. I had to buy a new fridge a couple of years ago. The delivery guys wouldn't give me 3 minutes to wipe the floor underneath the old fridge. They put a huge dent and a scratch on my 6 month old dishwasher (also from Sears). Although I fought with Sears respecting compensation or provision of a new door, all I got was a run-around. They wanted "before and after" pictures. They wanted to know why I hadn't written on their copy of the delivery bill that there was damage. It just went on and on. Whatever happened to customer service? I guess it has gone to the same place as appliances with a reasonable "shelf life". I no longer have the sales receipt, just the bills I paid for "service" but trust me, I was stupid enough to buy this piece of the stuff you scrape off your shoe after a misstep in a dog park.

We ordered a Frigidaire freezer and it came with a big dent that they tried to cover up with a piece of styrofoam. We sent it back and they called to see if we wanted another one. We said as long as it is not dented. Almost two months after we paid for it the other one came. It had a dent as well. Frustrated we kept it. Horrible customer service!!! They say people only complain about the bad and not the good so not true! Believe all the reviews. Do not purchase anything Electrolux. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Bought the model LFFH21F7HW on 11-7-2008 and the electronics component went out 11-26-2015. I cannot believe that a company would build a freezer that is so cheap it cannot last at least 15 years. It was a 21 cubic foot freezer so I lost a lot of food. Will never buy another Frigidaire no matter how well it is rated. If you want to use cheap electronics, feel free. Time to go back to the old age style appliances that my parents and grandparents still have that are older than I am. Purchased at Lowes.

I purchased a upright Frigidaire freezer on 7/1/15. On August 29th I heard a lot of noise at 1 a.m. It was my less than 2 months old freezer. Everything had thawed. I called Lowe's the next day to report it. A service repairman came out Sept. 2. Due to a part problem it was not fixed until Oct. 15th. No I didn't buy the extended warranty. I am out $500 worth of food. Lowe's or Frigidaire could care less. I will not buy another single thing from Lowe's or Frigidaire again.

I purchased a Frigidaire 9.0 cubic foot chest freezer in May of 2011. In March of 2015 the freezer stopped working, unknown to us. We ended up throwing out almost $300.00 worth of food. I had purchased the extended warranty and the unit was repaired - it required a switch which had failed. Fast-forward to October, 2015. This time an activator for the compressor failed. Once again we had the wonderful experience of throwing out almost $300.00 dollars worth of food.
Do not buy a chest freezer from anyone! Frigidaire makes the parts for all chest freezers, so they are all virtually the same. We received no benefits from owning our own freezer and, in fact, have lost almost $600 dollars in food. You are better off letting Walmart be your storage facility. I am out almost a thousand dollars total from buying this appliance and would have been far better off if I had never bought it. All you will get is a lot of sympathy and no compensation when, not if, your unit fails. - One wiser and sadder consumer.

I purchased a brand new stand alone freezer... Within the first 30 days the compressor broke which is the main part of the freezer. Frigidaire said they can't replace my freezer but repair it. Which means I will now stay with a refurbished unit when I've paid full price for the appliance. Frigidaire representative wasn't gonna move from their policy of servicing the unit and not replacing it. At this point we feel like they're using our house as a repair shop.
