We were cleaning out our barn after multiple moves, so lots of boxes, old furniture, a couple mattresses and a few tires. We scheduled an appointment and were given an arrival window of 4:30pm-6:30pm the next day. The next day they never showed up. Never called. We called them @ around 7:00pm and they said they got backed up and couldn’t make it that day so we scheduled an appointment for the next day at 2:00pm-4:00pm. Again they never showed up. Didn’t call us. Called them at 4:10pm and the customer service representative couldn’t contact the store that was supposed to be providing the service. In conclusion. They didn’t show up to an appointment and didn’t call to notify two days in a row. Horrible service. No receipt because they never made it here to perform a service in the first place.

My experience with 1-800-JUNK was completely unacceptable. They failed to show up at the promised time, and instead of providing a clear solution, their Vancouver customer service response was essentially, “we’ll try to find another truck,” with no guarantee it would even arrive within a reasonable timeframe. That is not service—that’s disorganization.

Good overall, but even though I’ve had a good customer service experience with one 800 Junk I told them that I had three Bagsters filled, and they quoted me $500 and it ended up being $1000. Did not appreciate that. We thought they would be cheaper than having Bagster pick it up, but it ended up being MORE MONEY. They also charge extra for recycling boxes. Do NOT BELIEVE QUOTES!!! Will use Bagster pickup next time.

Didn't show up when they said they would. Finally called me and said they would arrive at a certain time. Which they did. However, the price was off the chart and I said no.

I made an appointment to pick up a mattress a couple of weeks ago. Never heard back. Then got a call first thing this morning that said they were 45 mins away. I explained I was at a doctor's appointment and the mattress was outside. The guy said, "No problem. Will pick it up and call me when you're done with dr's appt." They proceeded to call a dozen times during my doctor's appt which I couldn't answer. Got out of the doctor's and went home and lo and behold the mattress is dumped in my driveway never to be picked up. Horrible, Horrible customer service. Will find someone else to pick it up.

We hired them to come take away stuff from our father's apartment in Saratoga Springs NY. A guy came one day and gave a price of around $1800 and it would take 2 guys about an hour to remove everything. That quote was for everything in the apartment, furniture, mattresses, and bags of junk. Never put anything in writing. When 2 other guys came the next week to pick everything up, they had no idea on the quote we received. The 2 guys were great but it ended up costing over $2600. We had already gotten rid of all the furniture and other heavy items, so only 1/2 of the stuff was still there to be picked up. My sister has called them several times to discuss what was going on and no one bothered to get back to her. They say they donate and repurpose what they can. Yeah, they probably resell the stuff they pick up. Will never recommend them or use them again.

Ashton and Dylan were polite/respectful, very efficient in explaining the program, securing the sale and removing the chair. Ashton and Dylan, in my opinion, are excellent representatives of your company. I will definitely recommend your company.

They first tried charging $500 for a small move (ended up being $150 after telling them to leave my property), and proceeded to hover - refusing to leave - until I left a 5 star review. This is unheard of. This company is on the border of harassment - will never, ever be using their services again.

Larry and Tim came out to finish a job that had been left unfinished by previous Got Junk workers. Larry and Tim were extremely professional and friendly. They were focused and diligent in dealing with a challenging job. They kept me informed throughout the process and made sure I was happy with what they were doing. I would highly recommend Larry and Tim with Got Junk.

Had Got Junk to pick up a sofa and a chair. Shawn and Dom from Grand Rapids Michigan gave us a price and hauled them away, they did a wonder job on telling us all about Got Junk and their pricing so I give them a 5 star for a good job.

Got a price quote for $5800 to make two trips to remove a house that garbage that was trashed. Asked at the same time to have all the flooring removed once the initial junk was removed. Call them two days later to get the remaining junk removed and they wanted to charge an additional $1200. Beware. Get everything in writing.

Scheduled same-day pickup. Company called to reschedule for two days later "in the interest of time." Fine. Appointment day comes, appointment time comes and goes, no contact, no-show. They call an hour later, trying to reschedule for some time during the week "in the interest of time." Clearly, it's not in the interest of the consumer's time. Don't waste yours, and hire a local company instead. The locals know they have a reputation to protect.

I contacted 1-800-Got-Junk to help clean out some unwanted office furniture. I had already received a couple of quotes from other businesses. I was pleased when they seemed to really want my business. They reduced their original quote by more than $1,000 to align it with the other quotes I received. However, when I told them I only wanted a quote and wasn't ready to do the work, they seemed to be VERY PUSHY to get my business.

Robbed 100& for a full mattress after some 59$ discount. For 1 full size mattress and they were almost an hour late! I want my money back and I'm telling everyone not to use this company 100$ for just a full size mattress! Unethical thieves!!!

Guys we’re very good but their, the company itself, was not so good. Got my address wrong repeatedly and I was promised a promotion offer and never received it. So I’d watch out with their promotions. Supposedly was going to get $79 off and that never happened! The guys went straight off the price sheet. Now they are saying I received it. NO I didn’t!

Just had Bobby and Renee carefully remove a large piece of furniture for me. Very nice guys, removed the furniture and cleaned up a few spots on the tile from the wheels on the dolly. Anytime a guy cleans up after himself, I’m impressed!! Thanks guys I give them a 10 out of 10!!

Look elsewhere. I wish I had had more time to research other companies in my area, as I would have chosen them or gone with a smaller business. They gave a 2-hour (2:30-4:30 p.m.) window and did not arrive until 5:30 p.m. On top of that, the communication was slow and limited ans I would not have known they were planning on being so late if I hadn't texted to ask (they don't do calls, first red flag). On top of that, their prices are outrageous. For the removal of a couch, desk, chair and shelves, it was $800. It was a complete ripoff and the salespeople answered zero questions about why the pricing was so insane. If I could give zero stars, I would. You're better off with almost any other company.

This PLACE IS A SCAM. THEY will charge you 250$ off the jump to barely even move anything. Don’t not go to this place. They will leave more than half of your items to deal with. Terrible place. Terrible customer service. Auto bot is super corny. 0/10 This is a JOKE OF A BUSINESS.

I was so upset and felt taken advantage of. I had a large pick up of oak free limbs/branches. There were two drivers. One brought me over the price sheet when they arrived. The price was high but I said okay. They filled up one truck and then the driver said if they needed to use both trucks, it would cost me $1K per truck. I looked and the 2nd truck was full of old furniture. I said no. The result was one truck which cost me over $800 and they left half of the yard debris. The clincher was when the driver brought me to their website and asked me to give them the highest rating so their boss would see it. He watched over me to ensure I did it. I have never felt more used and taken advantage of. What a way to run a business!

On 1-9-26 I called to have a refrigerator removed from my basement. I specifically told the man it was made in 1950 and is heavy. No problem, he replied. Then when the actual movers called I told them "it is from 1950 and is heavy". Two guys showed up and tried to remove this without any equipment such as an appliance dolly. I couldn't believe it. Their only function is to remove (heavy) items that a homeowner can't- they don't sell anything, they don't repair...they only move and yet they show up without any way to move it. After struggling to get it near my steps, they couldn't even lift if to the first step. I ended up getting my dolly - which is not suited for refrigerators - and still the two couldn't get it past the first step...without my help.

I called yesterday to get a general price to have 2 dressers, full size mattress and box spring hauled away and they couldn't even give me a general ballpark figure. Super huge red flags. I definitely won't ever be using this company.

Had them come by today for an estimate! Teddy was so helpful and worked hard to find a price that worked for me! This service was so helpful and they were both so genuinely kind and made me feel like I was being heard. Will use them again!

What a scam! I asked to have an old 55 inch tv removed. They have no price chart on their site. They came over and then quoted me $292 to haul it away. It weighed 50 lbs, and was ten feet from their truck. I said "no way" and said I would haul it away myself. They walked away, say they were going to call their boss to see if they can do it cheaper. They came back with a $50 quote, which was what I was expecting and had voiced when I talked to them, because they quoted a $1 a pound on the phone.

Arrived 2 hours late out of window frame. Phone quote was $69 for full sized mattress and boxspring. Quote to remove those items when they arrived was $350. Was told the call center was in Canada. Reduced the price to $150.

While they were quick and professional, their pricing methodology is deceptive. The website and drivers explain that they price by volume - ie how much space do you take up on a whole truck. A whole truck is $799 and fits “8 refrigerators”. My stuff was “2 refrigerators worth” or 2/8ths (1/4 or 0.25) of the truck which would be $199.75. Instead I was charged $469 which equates to 0.58 of a truck or almost 5 refrigerators - more than double the amount of space my stuff took up in the truck. This is right out of a corporate marketing playbook but customer service chose to throw their service men who provided the estimate under the bus when I called to complain that the pricing made no sense.

Sterling and Kyle from 1-800-Got-Junk just pick up my treadmill. They were quick and efficient. I'm very happy with the service that I received. The price was good as well. Thanks so much guys for all your help.

I hired them to clean out the remaining items in my house for the sale to close. I spoke with customer service they confirmed they could take the garage chemicals (paints and bug sprays). They charged me 300 more than the general phone quote but assured me they would get it cleared out. They said they would donate what they could. There is still a bunch of stuff left and they even left the legs for the antique table they took the top to. I called customer service and still waiting on a return call from management.

This company is a rip-off! 1 dresser, 1 black stone grill, 2 flat boxes approx 4 feet, 5 empty small flower vases,1 vacuum cleaner- $696.05. A rip-off because many of the items are donated by 1-800 Got Junk (as told by the person who came to our home). As the well-known saying goes, One man’s junk is another man’s treasure. No mention is made of the outlandish cost in the commercial. They give you a quote, and price range, but you say, “Surely I don’t have enough items to cost almost $700.” It took 2 people, a young guy and young lady, less than an hour to place the items in the vehicle. And the truck was very small, already almost filled to capacity. Quite interesting! Will definitely schedule a well-known non-profit to come and pick up my items and receive a tax-deductible receipt. As more people share and investigate, the company will soon enough cease such deceptive marketing.

1800-JUNK is a little more expensive, but in my experience, it was absolutely worth it. Dorman and Dylan came to my house to provide an estimate and were professional, courteous, and very easy to work with. While they were there, they were able to take my dining table right away, which was a huge help. They worked efficiently, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process stress-free. I also have a large wall unit that needs to be emptied and removed, and I’ve already requested that Dorman and Dylan come back because I was so impressed with their service the first time. If you’re looking for reliable, professional service and don’t mind paying a bit more for quality and peace of mind, I highly recommend 1-800-GOT-JUNK — especially Dorman and Dylan.
