I love my Dirt Devil vacuum. My vacuum has never failed me. It picks up dirt, debris without issues. The attachments are great. I am able to suck out dirt in small tight spaces. My mother always bought Dirt Devils, so I have followed her lead.

There is very little suction. You almost have to hand feed the dirt to the Dirt Devil. Upholstery tool broke, the hose fell out of its housing. My 15 year old Hoover I got rid of had better suction. Do not trust a Dirt Devil.

I have put a number of vacuums to the test. I'm not your be gentle while vacuuming type. I bet in my 25 yrs of marriage I have had 50 or more vacuums. Dirt Devil has always been there for my family's mess!

Does not have the power that my past vacuum cleaners have had. Very cheap in construction too. Dirt Devil was always touted as a very powerful machine. The attachments are flimsy and the handling of the vacuum is not smooth.

Vacuum does a good job of picking up dirt, dust and almost anything you want. It is reasonably quiet and easy to move around. It is reasonably easy to clean and is small enough to stash out of the way.

My Dirt Devil vacuum is a great value for the money. The dirt bin is very easy to empty. The filters are very easy to clean. Replacement of the filters was very inexpensive at $8 delivered from Amazon. The hoses come off quickly enough for yearly cleaning. I have owned the machine for 3 years and use it every other day. And I'm still utilizing the original hoses with no leaks at the connectors. My only complaint he is with the attachable vacuum head. Shortly after purchasing the vacuum the attachable head began to make a squealing sound and the brush did not turn properly. Being a mechanic for 35 years I saw the problem. I opened it and put a pinch of bearing grease on the shaft ends to cure the problem. Of course not everybody can do that. Which is why I gave four stars on the attachments.

Bought the vacuum because it was a decent price and looked like the best quality for the price. It works fairly well, it's just heavy and I'm a small lady. I'd love a great vacuum cleaner that isn't 200 pounds and vacuums carpet and can also shampoo or clean hardwood floors.

I like my vacuum because it is lightweight. It is easy to take up and down stairs. It picks up dirt well. It's easy to turn on and off. Cleanup is easy to do. It is not super noisy. Finally, the attachments make vacuuming easier.

I've had a small portable Dirt Devil vacuum for 15 years. Obviously one of the pluses is its longevity. Another is its power, it picks up dirt like a magnet on paper clips. The downside to that is that it's noisy, no way you can vacuum with someone sleeping in the next room.

Purchased new at Target for quick pickups around the house. It actually does an OK job of vacuuming up small particles and dust. The instructions say to just release the dirt cup lid and let the debris drop out into the garbage can. There is actually a lot of dusty material left inside the cup assembly and on the pre-motor filter. This requires you to release the entire dirt cup assembly and remove the inner section and filter. At this point I realized I would need a new filter at some point and went online to order. Very few parts available for this machine. No filters (F109 pre-motor filter) available at their website or at any other sources. I contacted them about the availability and they said to keep checking and that they would have some eventually.
I did this for over 1 year with no success. At this point my filter is getting pretty dirty and I would like a new one. They said the machine had been discontinued and to cut the cord on the charger, peel the model number label off the motor, take pictures of everything and send it in to them for a newer model replacement. I asked if the new model would have a different filter and if so would replacement filters be available. They had no answer for that and just told me to cut the cord and send the pictures.
My lesson learned, regardless of what I buy to replace this machine, is to check on replacement parts for that machine. Dirt Devil's website has very few parts available for any of their machines. TTI, Tectronic Industries Limited, a Chinese company is the parent company and also bought out Hoover and Oreck. I imagine those brands have suffered as well. I would not buy another machine from this company.

I've been using the Dirt Devil Power Max Vacuum for quite a while now and I can't say enough about it! The vacuum is amazing on any flooring and we even use our Dirt Devil Power Max Vacuum on our vehicles. Yes you heard that right. On our vehicles. The features on it are outstanding with different attachment extenders and the brush attachment may be small but let me tell you it's mighty! I love the hose on this model because it makes cleaning so much easier and I'm all for that. I use the hose and brush attachment for cleaning vents in my home and even on the face of my air conditioner. It's size is perfect for chores like that. I clean homes for a living and my power max goes to every job I'm on because I don't have to wonder if the vacuum will show up and perform its job because this one very much does just that!
The suction is superb and I love how light it is to hold to clean blinds, spider webs, base boards, etc. The easy empty dirt/dust container is great because with a push of the button the button opens to release into the trash instead of having to worry about bags you can't see inside a lot of vacuum cleaners I've used in the past. You can see when vacuuming carpets what is suctioned up and you'd be surprised at the dust it grabs that you don't see. The kids even enjoy cleaning their rooms and vacuuming with the power max. That's definitely a bonus for me! These products are built to last and are a great value for sure. I'll continue to stay loyal to this company because I know their products will do what they were designed to do and more. I couldn't imagine life without my power max. It's just that good!

I bought the Dirt Devil Power Reach Canister vacuum. 2 months after purchasing the vacuum the powerhead screws stripped and would not stay together so I taped it and crazy glued screws because they kept coming out. I called dirt devil and they said return receipt and warranty where I purchased. I did so with warranty and receipt and they refused to honour it. Because I tried to repair it. So today I called and they no longer make the product so you're forced to buy a new vacuum.
When I told them they should review the past return they said, "How do we know you returned with warranty." I was floored!! Especially when have the original complaint call where they they had told to return it, (she read the notes on call) and notes saying I had a warranty and returned it back to me unrepaired. It would not have gone back without warranty. They are money hungry, greedy company, who obviously don't give damn about their customers. Don't bother with warranty... They don't honour them. And you're lucky if a year later you can get parts.

This vacuum cleaner is definitely a waste of money. I purchased this cleaner about a month ago and the floor adjustment does not work on it. I contacted them to see if I could fix it myself but they said they would replace the vacuum. I just got an email from them to tell me to cut the cord off the defective machine and send a picture of the cut cord and then they would send the replacement. So now I am going to be without a vacuum until they send the replacement. How long that will take, we do not know. My advice is do not buy these cheap vacuum cleaner. Save your money.

DIRT DEVIL DELETED MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. SO I'M REPOSTING HERE.. So let's talk Dirt Devil. I bought a power pet max and it's trash after 6 months. A super huge manufacturer's issue. A clip came off and the belt rubbed the plastic under it melting it. As I type this I have you know I am on the phone on hold now. Kelsey can not tell me and thing not sure why she's even answering the phone. I have asked twice now to speak to Denise in tier 2 who placed my replacement order. She is refusing to get on the phone or send me an email as well as telling me that there is no tracking for me. But the product has been picked up by FedEx. Finally after Denise being scared to get on the phone and Kelsey lying to me I got the supposedly highest in chain of command.
Now I'm speaking with Carol. Who says the vacuum has not been picked up by FedEx. So now I'm dealing with people lying to save their self. What a shame. So now I'm waiting on Carol to call back to see what is really going on. I can definitely say after this incident I will not be buying anything DIRT DEVIL HOOVER OR ORECK AS THEY ARE ALL THE SAME PEOPLE. And on top of it I disabled the vacuum like they told me to do cutting the whole cord off and was ignored after. I had to call in myself again. Spend more money on better products. In the end it saves you headache. I will be back with updates after MY RETURN PHONE CALL.

WE have had our Dirt Devil Bagless for Approximately 2 years. We have hard floors with Oriental rugs, so the vacuum is hardly overworked. Lately it has been shutting off, which I assume is an overheat protection. This is happening after 10 minutes of run time with empty bin and freshly cleaned filters. This is not a very good representation of a quality product for Dirt Devil. I will not purchase their brand again.

I purchased a Dirt Devil Power Max Rewind about 7 months ago for right around $220 at Target stores in Fond du Lac WI. Got it home, worked great for about 3 months. Then the cord stopped winding in all the way. The next thing I noticed was it began losing suction, I went and bought new filters for the entire vacuum! Believe me those are also not cheap! Seen almost no improvement. I took the vacuum hose and made sure it wasn't clogged, it was not. I then proceeded to try everything I could think of. I mean vacuum that only last for around a few months at the price I paid, very dissatisfied customer. I would recommend you purchase another brand if you are considering spending the money on a nice vacuum. Anyways this is my honest review of this product.

More than once I have had to spend an hour OR TWO trying to reassemble the dust cup and filter after cleaning it (which is mandatory!). No logic to this Chinese b.s. It is the luck of the draw if I can get it put back together after cleaning the cup and filter, so I dread cleaning it...because I know it may be next to impossible to get it back together. This vacuum cleaner cost about $100 maybe slightly more.

I bought this Dirt Devil Reach cordless vac because I wanted something cordless and easy. While it doesn't replace a "real" vacuum cleaner it's good in a pinch. It does a very adequate job on carpet and bare floors alike and is small to get into tight spaces. Battery life is good. Cleaning the canister is my biggest complaint. The dirt gets stuck in there and you have to wind up picking it out.

This vacuum is so cheap that the brush spindles burn out in less than five hours service. They are very expensive to replace because you have to pay for a quality spindle or you're wasting your time. When the spindle wears out, It melts, Causing a huge amount of torque on the belt, And breaks the belt, Repeatedly. It is so cheap, And made of such flimsy plastic. That you will be lucky to clean your floors before the spindle overheats and melts.

Still waiting on back ordered crevice tool since Sept. 2018. Yes, that date is correct and it is now July 8, 2019. During this time span, I have talked with customer service reps Michelle, Rhonda, Heather, Michael and lastly Nicole. I sent the proper documentation that was asked of me and I received a response to cut the cord on my perfectly working vacuum, take a picture of it and send it to them. They would then send another vacuum to me. Why would I do this when it has taken them 10 months to get to this point. I cannot be without a vacuum for any length of time. I can only imagine how long it would take for a replacement. My last email to TTI Floor Care was June 19 and so far absolutely no response. Calling directly only leaves me on permanent hold.
Getting a "bonus crevice tool" which was supposed to be included in the original vacuum box when purchased should not take this long. I even purchased the two year warranty plan and can't even use that. The vacuum works fine. I just can't get the bonus tool sent to me. Completely disgusted with TTI Floor Care's lack of satisfactory customer service. S.

The vacuum is heavy. Not easy to maneuver. Easy to unload the dirt from the container, but the suction power is not great at the roller on the bottom of the Vacuum, also hair and Lint get so twisted with string. Once happy with Dirt Devil but they are not as advertised. Bought the Dirt Devil vacuum even after seeing bad reviews in reference to the abundance and cheapness of the plastic utilized that inundates their products. Within a short time the Plastic latch that holds the canister broke. You do not use plastic on a latch that should be metal or another hard substance. Do not buy their products since cost is more relevant than a quality product. I wrote them but have decided I do not even want to deal with them and their products anymore. By the way, their vacuums should be sold in with the plastic toy aisle. It would be more appropriate while telling the customer its junk and not built to last. The first time I used it, it worked great. Then it never worked again! I read the manual thinking I must have put together wrong. I accidentally dumped the dirt and hair out of the top instead of the bottom and thought maybe I had done something to the filter, or put it back together wrong. Only to find out later that the hose was completely packed full of hair!
That was the reason I bought a vacuum supposedly made for pets, so that I could get all the pet hair up no problem. And it clogs after the first use? It can’t be too good on pet hair At all! I tried pulling out the clogged hair but because of the bristles, I can’t reach farther than an inch, maybe 2, up the hose nor fit anything up there to pull it out for me. If the hose comes off somehow, I can’t figure out how! Waste of money!!!

Their customer support agrees that it is defective and that it is under warranty, but they refuse to honor the warranty without the original receipt. They know that most of us don't hang on to receipts for the duration of the warranty period, so this is their out to not honoring their warranties.

I had this vacuum for 3 months then the power head broke off! It was made of plastic. I had a warranty for it but no receipt. After saving it for a while it was thrown out not being told to save it. The company said would only replace the part if the store where I bought it would try to retrieve the receipt. Can't imagine this part would be able to fit again anyway! The other solution was to give us a discount on a new vacuum ordering it online. Why would I trust another Dirt Devil also! What good is having a warranty! This vacuum is a piece of junk!! On my third complaint I was told I would have to purchase another vacuum. This one has also gone out and the service department told me that they would give me a discount on purchasing another vacuum. No matter what discount Dirt Devil would offer the vacuum is not worth anything. If you purchase this unit you're throwing your money away. My last phone call was recorded as **. I purchased the Dirt Devil Upright to vacuum area rugs as we had replaced all carpet with Laminate Flooring. Bought it around the 1st week of December but didn't use it until around Christmas. Immediately had trouble getting the on/off switch to stay on. To start with my Husband stated that he didn't think I was mashing it hard enough. He tried it & it stayed on so I vacuumed den rug & runners. Used it again in January, maybe 2 times in February & March--still having trouble with the on/off button.
Finally in April it would not stay on at all. I had purchased the extended warranty at Walmart & contacted them to be told that it was still under manufacturer's warranty & I would have to go thru them. I sent Dirt Devil a email as I have a hearing problem on phone. To start with Angela in Customer Service was telling me I needed to check for clogging in various places--that wasn't the problem - the vacuum would not stay on. I corresponded back & forth several times & was told I would have to take it to a Dirt Devil Authorized Repair Dealer & if it wasn't my fault it would be fixed. There were 2 within 35 miles of my town. My husband had to have an emergency heart cath in May, I sprained my ankle really bad in April & was in a cast for 30 days so I couldn't drive to take the vacuum in.
During this time I also contacted Walmart Corporate Office hoping they would simply tell me to bring it back & replace it but they refused to help me---I had to go thru Dirt Devil. Today I was finally able to drive well enough that I took it to High Point, N. C. House of Vacuums for repair. [30 miles one way from my house]. When we were through discussing it I ask if it would be ready to pick up next week when we go to the doctor in Winston-Salem--High Point is half-way. I was told that she had no clue when it would be ready for pickup. They would have to contact the company first & get the repair authorized & they would have to send them the needed repair parts. No idea at all. So I am at the mercy of Dirt Devil it appears. I am very upset--I need a vacuum cleaner. Then she started trying to sell me a used vacuum.
I will never ever buy another Dirt Devil product--I bought it because I thought they were reputable. By the time I make at least 1 more trip to the repair shop I will have almost as much in gas as the vacuum cost. Very disappointed in Walmart as well. They are the only store in my town other than Lowe's Home Improvement that sells vacuum cleaners.

I purchased a Dirt Devil Pet Max vacuum model number UD60167. I've had this taking less than a year. Maybe about 9 or 10 months. Since the day I bought the vacuum it constantly gets clogged up really easily and I'm having to take off the hose that goes to the handle and the lower hose underneath the vacuum and clean them out. Usually have to use a broom handle or a stick or something to loosen up the clog.
A few weeks ago the vacuum was packed solid inside the handle and both hoses. Managed to get it all cleaned out except for the lower hose that goes from underneath the vacuum behind the brush roller to the bottom of the canister. While trying to clean out that short clear flexible plastic hose I accidentally tore a hole in the hose with a coat hanger trying to loosen up the thermostat with stopped up inside.
I tried calling there several several times. Never could get through and just sat on hold. I was able to get through to customer service via email. Turns out that the lower hose is not available. I explained to them I thought their vacuum was a piece of crap. It did not do the job. Constantly had trouble since day one that's inside. Tore a hole in the hose trying to clean up what was clogged up inside. I'm willing to pay whatever the hose would be which I wouldn't think would be that much since the hose for the handles only around $15. I was informed that they make a replacement hose for the handle but the lower hose there is no replacement hose. The lower hose that is put on there when it is manufactured is the only time that hose is used at the manufacturer. Not for sale to the public and no Replacements available.
Dirt Devil sent me an email back stating that the lower hose is not available and they do not manufacture it so how do they make a new vacuum if they don't manufacture the lower hose. Told me if I was to call the customer service number and give him the reference number. They emailed me back. They would discount me 30% on the purchase of a new vacuum. Basically telling me just go buy a new vacuum whether you can afford to or not. Very unprofessional and very unsatisfied.

Overall I'm pleased with the Dirt Devil Featherlite Cyclonic. I like the reusable canister and filters. Plus the cord retracts completely within the vacuum. Great for vacuuming out a car or hard to reach areas, everything in a compact, lightweight, easy to use package. What could be improved are the 'wands'. The universal one that comes with it is terrible. Go to a vacuum store or Amazon and buy a couple of dedicated brushes, and they fit the extension tube perfectly, and work much better.
I've noticed the 'motor cuts off' complaint on the website. Mine did the same... but I chalked this up to "User Error". Get out the manual, and Clean the Filters! There is a gross debris filter, (hint: the big grey thing in the canister); a fine 'circular filter' (hint: inside the big grey thing); and finally, a trap door at the back with an exhaust filter. The Circular Filter was completely impacted, and clogged with dust, to the point that I had to 'dig' it out with a blunt instrument and wash it. The one in the back wasn't too bad. After DRYING COMPLETELY (Manual recommends 24 hours as water will ruin the motor), I put them back in, and the vacuum worked as new!
These small vacuum motors seem to run hot, and must be totally dependent on the air circulation from 'nozzle to exhaust' for their cooling. The clogged filters prevented the air circulation. When mine cut out it was most likely some sort of 'heat overload switch' to protect the motor. Clean the filters and try it again, you may be surprised at how well it works again.

I called Dirt Devil and she tells me there is a device in the machine that will make it shut off if it gets overheated. I said "ONE ROOM will overheat the machine." It happens every time it is used. She asked if I cleaned the filter. YES. She said I need to probably replace the filter. I bought this machine March 2015 so it isn't even a year old. I bought a new machine a few days ago, foolishly another Dirt Devil Dynamite II, she tells me the same issue will appear... Overheating if it is used "too much". One room is not too much. When I looked for the serial #, I saw it. "Made in China". There ya go.

Well vacuum has been looked at and been told the engine is gone. There has to be something that can be done. This vacuum I only used maybe 30 times. It's been just 1 yr. I mean maybe 10-15 days over 1 yrs and this is not right... I have tried to call numerous times and get only recording. I NEED ASSISTANCE **... I understand 1 yr warranty and I can see if it were 15 months and on but it has not been over a year by many days. If you pay for over 100 for a vacuum it should last many years as I have with HOOVER and others.

Bought at Home Depot since it was on sale $30. My last vacuum a bagless Bissel lasted me 10yrs. This one lasted me less than a year. It always overheated and took forever to reset. The filter was clean and vacuum was only days old. Very loud. The lever to the foot up down position broke after 1 week and the belt burnt out before 6 months. I replaced belt. It no longer sucks up. It's now worse in loudness and it shakes? Not worth my $! Seems like it only sucks up when I vacuum backwards. LOL. Don't buy this. Not worth it.

Dirt Devil Featherlite Cyclonic - I could hear a rattling sound inside my vacuum and when I took it apart I noticed the sound was chunks of plastic that had melted off the roller under the belt. Lucky it didn't catch fire. I think I've had it one year but unfortunately I no longer have the receipt so I'm out of luck getting any money back. I won't buy another Dirt Devil!

The very first time I used it (on and off about 8 times) the pedal power switch broke off. It's a tiny piece of plastic holding it on and this big pedal. This is so frustrating!!! I just want something that works!!! Really need to clean and the whole device is useless now because of 1 button! They should have designed the plastic thicker and more supportive. Don't they have an R & D department to test weight for a foot and multiple times and angles. I only weigh 135 lbs and pushed on the pedal with my foot where it is supposed to go. Will never buy again and now have to waste time to repair and pay more money to fix it. Very unhappy! Poor, part quality and engineering! Shame on you.

This product seems to be programmed to die after the warranty expires. After the first died, we ordered a second unit because we liked the convenience and size of the vacuum for spot vacuuming. This second unit also died within 4 years but after the warranty expired. According to the company (Royal of Glenwillow Ohio) the charger battery is the problem but this battery is not removable and cannot be replaced. Hence the unit must be replaced every few years. This is a convenient product but very inferior. Will not recommend a Royal product.

I bought this cleaner last Friday. Spent $170. Difficult to assemble and worrying because parts were flimsy plastic. Extension hose has no suction. It is not clogged because I only tried to use it today. I ran a rod through it three times. Cleaner overheats after cleaning one living room. A waste of money. No wonder Dirt Devil is the cheapest on the market. Save your money and go for a different brand. Customer service impossible to contact. I've been waiting hours for a call back. The grating voice on the recorded message should tell you what this company is like to deal with. Totally useless! Very angry. This senior has just wasted $170 of a low-income pension on a useless article. I was suckered in. Never again!

I was vacuum cleaning a hall rug, and there were things that needed to be picked up by the vacuum cleaner. The first time, the vacuum cleaner didn't pick the things up, and by the third time, I just decided to pick up the stuff off the floor myself, because the vacuum cleaner just doesn't pick up dust, or articles, or anything. I have begun to hate vacuum cleaning because the vacuum cleaners Never pick up the stuff. And this is in addition to having to assemble the vacuum cleaner; and having to put together the "vacuum cleaner" to "vacuum"; and having parts that fall off when you are going up the stairs or down the stairs.

I have had Dirt Devil for about 20 years, and about a month ago, I got a Dirt Devil Vigor Cyclonic Pet Vacuum. We have two dogs, and I really needed something for the dog hair. My complaint is the hose ALWAYS comes disconnected from the vacuum. I'll be vacuuming and think I'm finished, and look down and the hose isn't connected. So I'd have to go over the entire floor again. I am very disappointed with this model vacuum. I'm surprised at Dirt Devil and feel I'm paying for a defective vacuum.

Dirt Devil Breeze vacuum cleaner - Bought this vacuum cleaner at my local dollar store. My daughter put it together because she's the one that always puts together anything I purchase where assembly is required because she's very good at it. She had trouble putting this together though and an important piece broke off for no reason which was plastic and there's no way to use the vacuum cleaner without it. Instructions say don't take back to store so don't know what to do. It costs $60.00 so can't afford to just go buy another one. I'm trying to locate my ticket so I can try to get it returned by mail or find out if part can be replaced.

Upon my second usage the vacuum wouldn't start. I figured it was just very sensitive and cleaned the filter. I cleaned the filter after every usage and even spent 26 dollars on 2 new filters for alternates. After a month of twice weekly vacuuming in a small living space, it wouldn't start. I thought my electrical outlet may have had a problem but it was the vacuum. I put in a brand new filter and it wouldn't start. Good thing I still had the receipt for store credit.... a real lemon!

I bought this sweeper about six months ago for its easy installation. Great. First time using the vacuum, it worked perfectly. After initial use, I found this vacuum to be rather inefficient. The hose gets clogged easily almost every time I use the vacuum, it becomes clogged, and I have to take it apart to get the hose out and free of debris. I have a dog and a cat so pet hair is an issue. I need a vacuum that is good with pet hair which is primarily the reason why I purchased this product, that and the price wasn’t ridiculous. Who pays $500 for a vacuum?
I'm a consumer but I’m not wealthy beyond all belief. I’m practical and I spent about $80 on this Dirt Devil. And this is the worst vacuum I could have chosen. The belt breaks easily. It went through five belts in half of a year. The filter absorbs smells and then becomes saturated with a stinky smell that makes you not even want to turn it on. And I'm spending $25 every other week on a filter that doesn’t smell horrible. No thanks. The maintenance is ridiculous on this item every time it gets used. It needs to be taken apart to fix, clean and wash thoroughly. It's just a gigantic pain in the **. And after all that, it doesn’t even pick half the crap up on my floor. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have a decent sweeper, a decent sweeper that I paid good money for.
This vacuum is the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever seen or used. I'm totally not satisfied. I couldn’t keep it to myself anymore. For the longest time, I was just like, "Oh well, I picked a bad vacuum. My fault, whatever." But forget that. It's Dirt Devil's fault for selling crap, a lemon. I’m telling you I'll never buy a Dirt Devil again. I'll advise everyone I know to do the same. I’m utterly offended, and most of all disappointed in the company. If you’re going to sell your company name as quality, then I think you shouldn’t market piles of junk like this ever again.
And to make it even worse, I just found out that there’s a recall on this sweeper for a part called the power brush. Apparently, little pieces of plastic break off and shoot out of the attachment, and has caused more than 12 injuries to other consumers. This is just absolutely horrible. The power attachment is the whole reason why I even bought this vacuum, for cleaning up animal hair on furniture. And I can’t ever use it because it might break and shoot plastic at my eye. It probably would have already injured me if it even worked worth a **. The power brush is an even bigger piece of ** than the vacuum itself which is horrible.
As you can see, I'm super pissed off that I wasted money on the biggest piece of crap I could have bought. I trusted the name and I got burned. Hopefully, I can do everything in my power to make sure nobody else falls for the Dirt Devil trap. In conclusion, I’m completely unsatisfied with this product. And I think something should be done to change this.

This product is a fire hazard!!!!!!!! I was vacuming near my bed when the sparks began, I find it unbelievable that this was taken so lightly. I have called target to notify them of the issue. If my home had burned down would that have changed the level of service I received? I purchased a Dirt Devil Model # 086365 at Walmart Cedarbrook Mall, PA. I used it once. Then it wouldn't pick up the dirt on the second use. The belt broke. This is the 2nd Dirt Devil I bought where the belt broke soon after use. I was told by Royal, they will not refund my money, and that I had to buy a belt and put it on myself. I could not find the belt.
I drove to the Wal-Mart and they didn't have the belt. Then I was told to take it to their vacuum repair people only to be told I would be charged EXTRA for them to put on the belt and for services. I don't think it is right, that I buy a product and it breaks so soon after use and then I have to pay out of pocket again for its repair. My carpet is a low nap, why would the belt break so soon after 1 use? I want everyone to know about Red Devil's Disposable vacuums because that is what they are. They are not built to last or for any routine usage. I have paid at least $150 over the past year on vacuums. Where is my mother's old Electrolux? Now that was a good vacuum and lasted for years.
