I was recently denied a claim regarding my spa leaking. The agent's denial was clearly due to lack of knowledge of my pool system. They are denying my claim based on a claim from a year ago about pool solar panels leaking which is a completely separate system that is no longer in service. I have been a long term customer of Choice and have a renewal due in Nov 2024 and will not renew due to this denial.

I got disconnected from the original associate who I was speaking with. I tried to call back several times and got the wrong person. I felt that he was getting frustrated that I was calling back. When I addressed him on it, he tried to clean it up. I am now a customer for a year. I hope your warranty service is better than your front-line service of associates.

I had 2 policies with Choice Home. I made a claim for a leaking water heater which needed replacing. Over a week and daily phone calls and I still had to pay over $900. When I signed up I was told everything would be covered but that was not the truth. When I cancelled my 2nd policy I was only refunded a third of what I was owed since a claim was filed. Choice Home Warranty is a deceitful company and I would never recommend them.

This was my first contacting you for service. Unfortunately, you could not find technician to help us. Very disappointed. Fortunately, the display panel began to work again and I cancelled our request. I hope this is not the case in all things. Otherwise, there is no reason to purchase your monthly service.

The tech was very helpful and he diagnosed the problem quickly. He told me what the next steps would be and I already have a follow-up appointment. The payment for the visit was easily sent since I did not have cash on hand. I would recommend this tech and company for dishwasher or other appliance issues.

Dan, the Tech from ADM Plumbing was great. The scheduling of the appointment was quick, he came on time, determined that the unit was bad and got authorization to replace it and did so. He was very helpful and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend him and will do so should any of my friends need a plumber.

I went online and requested repair with Choice Warranty. My Sears Dryer stopped heating. Choice emailed me a contractor who called me and set a date and time for the repair, Contractor came at the set time, had the part on his truck and the repair was made on time. Very happy with how easy this service was.

Choice Home Warranty technician determined that outside condenser for upstairs needs to be replaced & wrote the same to warranty company. He said they called him and asked for a quote for uncovered costs for both condenser & evaporator coil. He gave them the quote as $1830. But they approved him only for condenser. They sent me an email only approving for condenser with uncovered costs of $1830. Technician said that for condenser uncovered cost is only $800. Technician & I are both trying to reach them in vain to correct their mistake but no response even after 2 days. I feel it’s cheating because they took the quote of $1830 from technician for both condenser & evaporator coil but trying to give me only condenser. I have been calling customer service to have a case manager call me but I haven’t got a call even though they keep saying I will get a call.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Communication was great and timeliness was on target. We have already received a phone call back with his ETA to finalize the fix for our unit. He did a great job explaining the issues with our unit and cleaned up after himself. We highly recommend him to others.

Great job, and quick as well. The plumber also advised me on another job on my outside faucet. He was a very nice, polite person. I would have no problem making a recommendation. I'm sure if you joined Choice Warranty, your experience will be as successful as ours has been. This is the third home my wife and I have utilized Choice Warranty.

Professional, surveyed each repair before starting, did not rush, made sure everything was in topnotch shape before leaving, explained everything to me. Well-groomed, use shoe covering when entering home. The vehicle was sparkling clean including the rims on the tires. I could not have been more happy with the gentleman!!!! The Technician seemed a little irritated the freezer was full of food and I understand that but he seemed a lot happier once he had a diagnosis and basically said there was nothing he could do and I needed contact Whirlpool. I took that information as the truth full and acted accordingly.

Scheduled claim via phone. Only a small glitch. I would prefer to speak to someone directly but I’m now waiting for contact with a technician. Was not given a timeframe for the call or when a technician would call me back to schedule an appointment. Hopefully that will be resolved ASAP.

My experience with CHW has been awesome. I put a claim in on Saturday because my AC went out. The AC Technician showed up promptly on Monday and repaired my AC. Adam from Smart Choice Heating & Cooling was very professional and did a thorough job diagnosing and fixing the problem. I would highly recommend CHW for your home repairs and Smart Choice Heating & Cooling.

Andy ** with Advance Indoor Comfort was great, especially regarding the confusion with the claim. He would have willingly worked on the other claim and repaired the AC system that was not working at all, but was not permitted the requirement was for the previous tech to repair (recall). Both were recalls, so that made no sense to me. The technician who was to repair the nonworking unit the next day didn't show at all. They didn't even contact me to let me know they were not coming. I knew there would likely be a problem, as there has been an issue with them or Choice Warranty for a month, and my AC unit is STILL not working.
I am beyond frustrated - with the ridiculous process that prevents work from being done when on site, wastes gas and time of companies do the work, and wastes my time as I have to make multiple requests at work to be home for multiple visits - when the work could be done in one visit. The automated system for the repairman contacting Choice while on site is a reduction in service as well... Things have changed drastically since using Choice in the past, and not for the better. Again, it has been over a month - and I am still without air conditioning.

For the first few years I was very happy with the service. But instead of fixing my 7-temperature pedestal dryer they are offering $330. I looked up what new construction is putting in new homes but appeal person didn’t like that. He told me they price the amount of a no brand wholesale price. I asked to see it for myself but was told that it isn’t allowed for me to see the wholesale price. My thought is that I can’t see it because it doesn’t exist or exist if it does exist it’s a piece of garbage. So I’m not trusting Choice Home Warranty as I once did.

They live up to the contract. They call me right back and put the claim in no time, but it took a couple of days before the technician call. I guess due to the weekend, because it was on a Friday. Over all I was pleased with the service, no complaints. I recommend.

I had contacted the plumbing company to re-schedule but had not heard back. Fortunately, the technician came when I was home. To his credit he left voicemail. I don't make it a practice to answer unknown numbers. Text works fine. He rigged a method to keep the drain open but had to rely on coat hanger I provided. It is a Band-Aid at best.

No work has been done yet, so I cannot give a rating on how things turned out at this time. Work is supposed to take place on Saturday, June 1. As for the technician that came, I would give him a five on a rating of 1 to 5 because she was very knowledgeable on what needed to Correct my problem.

My AC quit On Friday evening before the Memorial holiday. When I contacted CHW I was given a service appointment for the following Thursday. I wasn't happy that I had to wait so long but I realized that because of the holiday and the sudden arrival of warm weather it was to be expected. However, this morning (Monday) I received a call from the AC serviceman asking if he could come out this morning. He just left and I'm very pleased with CHW, especially with the e-mails that were sent keeping me informed about my claim.

When the wash went down the technician came to see how to fix it. It took two months before I even got a washing machine and never got any responses back in two months Choice or Sears. The technician that came here. I was very disappointed in that point. I think you could do a lot better for your customers by giving them a phone call and letting them know what’s going on with their claim. To me that was very inconsiderate that you take the money but you don’t wanna respond back to your customers but otherwise I’m very happy with Choice Home Warranty.

Don’t sign up, save your money. I been with them maybe 15 years and I have to fight for every claim. They never want to pay. I now have a $5000 AC bill because they said they couldn’t find a part to repair my unit. I have paid them every month for 10 plus years and when my card number changed I called them and paid. Last month they denied a water heater claim because 2 year ago they sent lame plumber to my house 3 times and they still could only get the water warm. I purchased a used water heater because I got tired of leaving work to meet someone who didn’t know what he was doing. And for that reason my claim was denied. Take it from someone whom has be loyal. Save your money just in case, you in my situation in 10 years.

This is the worst company that you could go with for a home warranty. Save your money find another one. It takes them Days and days just find somebody to come out and look at it to see if they can diagnose the problem. If they can diagnose the problem, then it takes days and days to order then it takes a schedule for them to come back out and fix it to work. If it doesn’t then we start the process over and over all the whatever it is. You’re having to do my one was a hot water heater that was not going to work for me to go to three weeks without hot water heater and they literally did not care. They got in no hurry to try to find me to get on the phone and see if I could find somebody then why do I have you if I’m gonna do it myself and if I had the person come out, I had to pay for everything, They wouldn’t cover it but yet you’re telling me to Like it is and I will never give a recommendation for this company to anyone.

They are very inconsiderate, hard to get a hold of. They do not care for their customers. I have 2 water leaks in my home. I have a week trying to get them repaired and they have not been able to find me a company to assist. When I call to inform them they do not hear my concerns. All I get excuses. They work with incompetent companies. I have to wait another week for them to find someone to come out to my home!!!! Look elsewhere. This company is trash.

Fixed pipe in kitchen, bathroom (master). No hot water. Informed pipe needs replacing. Waiting on Choice Warranty authorization. Called to find out if pipe has came in yet and was told it’s been ordered and they will send me a message or email me when that happens. In the meantime still no hot water. The technician that took our case (FTM Construction) was excellent; however, Choice Home Warranty customer service SUCKS! They provide one phone number to call, and there is no other option than to leave your number so they can call you back at their convenience. If you try not leaving your number and staying on the line to reach a person, you are disconnected automatically. When I did leave my number, I only received a callback one out of six times, and only after I chose option one which is new sales. Even then, two out of three times the representative would simply cut me off mid sentence and send my call back to their “leave your number and will return your call“ line.
They advertise replacing your equipment with “like kind” if it cannot be repaired; however, they would only give us $500 for a washing machine that cost $1300 to replace. They never pay full price, and your only option is to accept their offer or get nothing. Let’s see if Choice Home Warranty even post this review, I’ve left the same review on other sites.

I was denied! I was made to feel that the issue I had claimed was my fault due to misuse of my 20 year old dishwasher. The first tech did not make the appointment. When I called after waiting 4 hours he stated that he had no intention of coming to my home because he felt that I would be denied anyway. This was a very disappointing experience since I was a loyal customer and promptly paid my premium when due. I have since cancelled.

My upstairs bonus room air conditioning stop working. It did not respond to the thermostat settings. The technician arrived on time. He was very professional and friendly. He quickly diagnose the problem and explained in simple terms what was causing my problem. He fixed the problem and waited until my room was responding properly to the different temp setting. Excellent technician.

We were advised that the washer could not be repaired so we were offered funds to buy a replacement but the amount was not enough. Also we are still waiting for the e certificate for Lowe’s to purchase the new washer. I will be calling in the next few days to find out when we can expect the funds to buy the washer.

LK Appliance Service was assigned to repair our refrigerator. The technician showed up on time and immediately assessed the problem. He told me a part had to be ordered and it might take a few days to receive it. He kept in touch and when the part arrived he came and repaired our refrigerator.

I have 5 stars to not affect the technician, no issue with him specifically. My issue is the fix was not done last visit, just took pictures of it. He was here previously and took pictures of it as well. They knew at that point what fix needed to be done, but instead took pictures again since it was under a new claim. This could have been repaired when he visited since they already knew what the situation looked like and what needed to be done.

He was very polite, and he explained the process well. Very careful in hauling out the old water, putting a tarp under it so it would not mess up my carpet. He should me how to turn up the water temperature and if I need to shut off the hot water how to do it.

I have a contract with this company to cover my appliances and plumbing services. The warranty states that it will cover the cost for all repairs of the appliances items and if unable to be repaired it will cover the costs for replacing the appliances. I am required to pay my deductible to the service repair company upon arrival for the current service call. The service repair company informed me of the cost for repairing my washer machine and informed me that the company would probably replace my washer machine due to the cost of repairing it would be cheaper to replace the washer machine.
I received an email from Choice Home Service Warranty Company informing me that they will pay me $547.00 dollars to replace my washer machine and if I had any disagreement with the settlement amount to respond back with my disagreement. I responded back and informed the company of the amount I was being offered would not pay for the replacement of my washer machine. After 36 hours not receiving a response back from my email I had sent back disagreeing with the settlement payment I called back to the customer service representative about not receiving a response to my complaint I was informed that my claim had been submitted to the senior case manager team and they informed me that Victoria ** was the person who had been assigned my claim and I was given her contact information.
I contacted Ms. ** and informed her that I had been to several locations to price how much it would cost me to replace my washer machine for the exact same one that I currently have and that the $547.00 is not enough to replace my washer machine. The conversation I had with Ms. ** and the other attempted conversations I have been trying to have has been unsatisfactory. I was told by Ms. ** she was the highest person to could talk with and when trying to talk with anyone else about this situation I would get a claim representative on the phone and I get placed on hold and then get disconnected and this happened five times. Finally I am disappointed with the outcome of my claim and the company has not honored the service in which my contract stated I am entitled to receive in the event that the appliance cannot be repaired and have to be replaced.

The technician (Billy) called to confirm a time for my appointment. He arrived within a couple of minutes of the time as he said that he would. He analyzed the problem, and within only a few moments my garage door was operating again as it did before the problem occurred. He was courteous, he was qualified, he was clean and he was fast. Yes, Yes, Yes I would recommend him to anyone with the same problem I had with my garage door/ opener. I am exceptionally pleased with his workmanship!!!

Very timely response from technical company after calling Choice Warranty with request for repair of no draining at bathroom sinks and bathtub. Technician came, found the troubles and said he has to send his findings to Choice Warranty for approval. It seemed there was a little miscommunication, but it looks like it is solved.

I requested service May 13th. On the day of service, the technician called in sick. Finally got a technician to come out on May 20th. When he finally figured out the problem and did not appear to be sure, a part needed to be ordered. I received a service update that they won't be back until 6/3 to fix the unit.

As a Service man deploying constantly with our US Navy, I got that warranty so I could have peace of mind. Until my AC gave up, and they decline to pay for the repairs stating that the damage was caused not by wear and tear. A 10 plus years equipment, they said it was damage caused by external entity. So when you are about to buy they say, "Thank you for your service," when you have to use it and you are in harm’s way in the other side of the world, they just say, "SORRY THAT IS NOT COVERED." So if you want a headache and money out of your pocket. Go ahead and get this “warranty.” Otherwise SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Most of the good reviews from this company are bought and fake!!!

So I tried very hard to take out a policy but nothing went through! Big surprise! Apparently I already have a policy but I don’t know my policy number and I went online and clicked the I forgot policy. It didn’t send, give or present the policy number. No the ball is in your court!!!! Disappointed.

CHW sent electrician who claimed he needed to order part on April 29. After reminding him twice, he said that takes time and he would call when he received it. Can’t seem to get job done. Paid service call. $75. I am still without vent over kitchen stove 5 weeks. My next move is to cancel with CHW.

HAVAC Air was not working to cool home. Easy online ticket of problem completed. Quick and fast response with service to correct the issue. We needed Freon. The service man was quick and professional. It was easy to address online and not have to talk to different people repeating yourself. Great service. So glad I signed up. Well worth it.

The reason I say so far is because I have only been a member for a little less than two months. When I filed my first claim, it was quite easy. The communication between Choice Home Warranty and myself and the company that was going to do the repair was excellent. I filed the claim one morning and the company servicing the claim promptly set up an arrival time to fix the unit. The appointment was for the following morning between 7 AM and 11 AM. The appointment was set up for the following morning, but they called and arrived that afternoon and are currently taking care of the broken unit.

I was told my system has a leak. Without the POINT MARK machine, the technician could not locate it and fix it. It was not approved by the Management of CHOICE. They used the Nitrogen to test (Twice). It showed a leak, but the technician said "It might be more than one and very small. Without using the The Point Marker machine I won't be able to identify where it is located." I am not happy with this! You say "You fix or replace". You did not fix the leak. I will be in touch, if the freon leaks out, again!.

Choice Warranty responded on the same day as I put in the claim for them to schedule a tech for garbage disposal repair or replace it. They scheduled repair tech next day for repair within 3 business days. I am very pleased with their response and scheduling of repair. I would recommend them!

I turned my thermostat to cool on the first hot day this spring. About a half hour later it did not feel any cooler. I went online to Choice Home Warranty website, punched in my username and policy number and explained what just happened. The next day I got an email from G&I HVAC letting me know what day and between what times the technician would arrive. The next day the technician texted me and let me knew he would be arriving in 20 minutes, he included a picture of himself so I knew exactly who'd be arriving at my home. He knew exactly what he was doing, and in no time he had my AC working fine.

At this point I’m not actually very satisfied with the service. I’m going to continue it for at least a year to see if I have anything else that comes up and maybe it will be improved but at this point, I am not impressed at all. I have had a problem with a technician, not showing up and doing the work but saying that he did the work and they also said they would replace my dishwasher but gave me $230 instead so I’m not very happy at this point.
I wish that I had understood that instead of replacing the dishwasher that was damaged that they were just give me less than the cost of even being able to buy a dishwasher and learning that is only the wholesale value that I would be given not the retail value. I’m not a retailer. I can’t buy a dishwasher for wholesale and so now I still have to come out of pocket with more than half the cost of the dishwasher that I have this similar dishwasher that I will have to replace so no I’m not really happy and after this year I will probably cancel.

I placed a claim with Choice Home Warranty on 5-1-24. Repair person came to my home on 5-23-24, a little over three weeks after I filed a claim. I was not able to use my bathroom sink during that time. This seems to be the norm rather than the exception with the claims I have had.

Still waiting for my thermostat issue to be resolved. The Sears tech was here for hours waiting for Choice to make a decision. Also, why would I get charged $250 for a Honeywell ProSeries thermostat when Amazon has it for $129.95. I would like to know when I can expect this issue to be resolved. Please respond.

Had glass oven bakeware exploded in my oven and glass and juices/grease went down in the oven. Was afraid if I turned oven on it would smoke up and called Choice to remedy my concerns. Choice sent Alpha Appliances and less than a 1/2 hour all was well with my oven. Great service and Thank you, CHOICE.

I am very pleased with very timely response to my claims and the fact I can easily talk to a representative on phone about my claims. I hope they keep up with good work. I had to use my own contractor for an emergency water leak and change of water heater and I need to submit the information for reimbursement. Hope that won't take a long time. Thank you for service.

There was lots of disappointment with the 1st plumber. He came and couldn't repair both toilets because he used the part that was for my master toilet at another customer. Then after many unanswered calls to him, I contacted Choice, and the same thing. No answering the phone. Then when he did come to repair, he did an incomplete job. The toilet still drained and lost water. He reported that the job was complete. Not!!! I had to file a new claim and another plumber came and changed the flapper, where the water was draining, and the problem was solved. I would not hire the first plumber again.

I had been looking into and comparing different Home Warranty companies to determine if it would make sense money wise to purchase it for our home. After comparing a number of different plans as to what was covered and how much it would cost me, I decided to contact Choice Home Warranty. I knew that as soon as you make contact with most companies, Their Salesmen won’t leave you alone, But I was pleasantly surprised. Christian ** contacted me and introduced me to the plan customized to our home. He was so knowledgeable about what they had to offer and how it could benefit us if we chose to do it. He was also able to save us money in areas that I wasn’t aware of. He was very pleasant to talk to and was never pushy. I’m really excited to have my home covered with this plan. The scheduling process was great. The repair technician was awesome. But I was disappointed with the resolution. I think the reimbursement for actual dishwasher was fair but there was no allowance for installation or removal. Plus I’d paid the $75 deposit. So the warranty actually didn’t help much at all. Called to see if I could get some partial allowance for installation and was denied. So I have mixed feelings. We had an igniter issue and Donny came out to repair. He informed me when he was headed our way and arrived within minutes of expected time. He was very polite and was extremely knowledgeable. He kept everything neat and put everything back, very organized! Would highly recommend and hopefully if we need another appliance repair, we will be lucky enough to have Donny!

Absolute Heating arrived within the allotted time slot. They even called thirty minutes prior to arrival. They went straight to work and diagnosed the problem. They had the part in their truck and fixed the problem quickly. He was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to work with. Would recommend them for future work.

The technician did good job. Just waiting on insurance to approve work taking too long. Two technicians have come out. Both had different ideas with what was wrong. I just need the work to be done so we can enjoy our spa again. The heater is not working like it did when new. The pool light still not working either. Hopefully the insurance will get this fixed soon.

The service technician took a long time to respond. He found out that the blower motor fan was broken and would require 5-6 days to get warranty company approval. I could not wait, as my tenants were very hot in the house, So I paid them $435 to replace the fan blades in the AC. I would appreciate it if you could reimburse me for the same.

The repairman was very professional and kind. However he could not repair the oven and recommended not using it until it gets fixed. He ordered the needed parts and said he’d call when it came in - maybe a week or a month. What choice do we have, especially since the problem was resolved once before. This is a serious disappointment, especially since we just renewed our contract with Choice. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

The machine could not be repaired; I understood from the policy I purchased in 2020 for 6 years I would receive a replacement. What I received was an e-card to Lowe's for $343.00, not nearly enough to purchase a new unit. The case manager, Ms. ** told me that is the estimated wholesale cost; however, being a consumer, I cannot buy at wholesale. She offered to have a check sent to me so I could shop anywhere, rather than just at Lowe's. I am very disappointed and quite honestly, angry. It will cost me at the very least another $200.00 to purchase a machine that is not an upgrade from what I had but one of equal value.

Even though the technician claimed the pipe crack was due to normal wear and tear, you are denying the claim stating it is not normal wear and tear. You are dismissing the expert opinion of the technician you sent and contradicting previous claims that are similar that you have approved.

The service is horrible, the company has changed drastically. Service representatives are rude and they don't care about customers retention. They don't pay contractors and they don't pay customers even if full replacement is offered. I got 246 as full replacement for a Bosch dishwasher when hinges replacements were required. The claim was assigned to Case Manager who said there are no managers other than her, which is hard to believe. I referred number of my friends to them and have 2 policies with them which I absolutely regret and want to cancel.

Choice has ordered our tray/basket and we are waiting for the installation. Choice replaced our upper tray about one year ago. We are anxious to have our new tray/basket replaced. It is nice to have Choice as our warranty company since there is a live person that answers the phone and they back up the phone call with texts from the technician who will make an appt. with the homeowner.

Just plain awful. Do not use. It takes forever to get a contractor to your house. If you call Choice and try to get a contractor the contractor needs to be on Choice's "approved list." Choice won't tell you the names of the contractors on their approved list thereby preventing you from calling the contractors directly yourself. Choice lies to you and says things will be done when in fact they aren't done. Notably, a contractor didn't contact me within a reasonable time (48 hours). I called and I was told that I was being a put on a "priority list". I called the next day and I was told that I wasn't on this priority list. The contractors Choice uses are shady/rude/fly by night operations and frequently do not know what they are doing.

I have had Choice for a year in May and I have had two claims. The first claim was handled very professionally and timely. The second one not so much it a month for us to get an appointment. Well actually I got email stating that someone would be on May 8, 2024 and no one showed up. When I called they said I didn't have an appointment and I had the email to prove it it. So they gave me another one which was yesterday 5/23/24 a guy from Sears. The air conditioner only worked two hours after he left and it sounds worse than before. He said there were some leaked and he fixed them and added that freeze stuff. It literally worked a couple of hours and died. I am hoping we will not have to pay another service fee for a job that was not handled like it should have been. I do love the company and will stay as a customer. Thanks. Mable

We schedule the appointment 2 days earlier to meet my schedule and I think my service person was phenomenal and fixed my dryer and had all the parts in no time. The D/W stopped cleaning properly. Choice sent a competent technician within a few days and he diagnosed the issue and said it could be repaired to clean "good as new". Choice decided not to repair, but to replace the D/W. However, Choice will only provide the amount they could purchase a new one at their wholesale cost, which is about half of the cost of a new D/W similar to ours.

The technician was courteous & professional. I give him 5 stars. However the denial of my claim is another story. My system worked the last time I used it, which was in the Winter. It didn't come on when I turned it on for air conditioning. I clearly didn't know it wouldn't work. That's the whole purpose for me putting in a claim! I'm upset because I wasted time & money. If this is a sign of things to come, I may have to consider terminating my relationship with your company. I was resistant to sign up in the first place based on info from acquaintances who have dealt with you before but I thought I'd give it a chance.

Best service ever! The original appointment was two days out but the company worked with me to move up the appointment since it was so hot. Technician immediately diagnosed the problem, had a replacement part, and I had A/C within 15 minutes. He also checked up in the attic to make sure everything was running up there. In an apparent effort to reduce labor costs, CHW has automated the entire claims process. Entering a claim is done with some sort of verbal avatar. Submission of subsequent information is by way of web pages. The entire process is cold. While it appears to get the job done, it does so in a very remote manner.

Caleb the technicial from Liberty Drains did an excellent job. He had all the parts needed and was quick to complete the job. He wore shoe protection and cleaned up everything after the repair. He arrived in a thunderstorm and made sure that no mess was brought into the house.

I am a first time Choice Home Warranty Total Plan owner and with acquiring this plan I feel quite a bit more comfortable knowing that my home is covered in case any of my systems have failures. My Manufacturer Warranties for appliances have expired and feel more secured. I know that I have received a 25% discount but do not know if they included a 1 month free as stated on the promotion which triggered my decision to react now and take advantage of the complete promotion. I was fully explained of deletions and or additions to the plan and am quite happy with what I have.

I attempted to give a model # for the Whirlpool dryer, to no avail. Now 7 household members have to wait nearly 2 weeks for a new switch. AHS took the money directly from a provided card or bank account. They also took the name & model, of the product to be repaired.

Leak on hot water heater repaired in less than a half of an hour, disappointed that surge tank not covered, instead of 65.00 fee, bill was $370.00. This hot water heater was just replaced less than 3 years ago. They added surge tank and billed me. My original hot water heater lasted 24 years with not a single repair.

He was fantastic. We had another technician come from another company and he wanted to make a $600 sale on us telling us all the things we need it. But with the Choice technician he got right to the point. Found the problem and fixed it. It was as simple as a hose crimp in the line that wouldn't let the water drain. Pilot light would come on, but oven would not flame on. Eddy from 5-Volt called set a time and then showed up. He had a new Igniter which he replaced in 15 min. The oven now works fine. In all he was here maybe 40 min. This is the first time we have used our home warranty from Choice and are very pleased. I filled out the form on the website that morning at 6 a.m. and the oven was fixed and working by around 1P.M.

Do not call Choice in a emergency situation! My water heater was pouring out water, I would have had to wait 24-48 hours for a plumber from Choice. Their plumber's price was $3,800. I had it replaced same day for $1,700 and Choice will not reimburse me. Don't depend on them in a emergency!

This company is impossible to work with and the service is lower than 1 star. We pay our premiums promptly but when we have a home appliance issue it is impossible to get a resolution. We have been waiting for 3 months for an appliance repair/replacement and after 2.5 months they sent the replacement check to a contractor who will not return our call and at this point feel they have taken the money and we are left high and dry. We are completely dissatisfied with this company and would never recommend them to anyone.

I recently opened a claim for my AC unit. The case manager told me that they will cover just the evaporator coil. But with that the condenser needs to be replaced as well and I need to pay for that and quoted ~ $3600. The whole reason I took the warranty is because the units are getting older. So if one replacement unit is not compatible with another existing unit, I would expect the warranty to cover that.
The other concern is - when I spoke to my own technician, he told me that if you don't replace the furnace, that can damage the new evaporator coil and the warranty won't cover that. Choice technician quoted a pretty high amount for the furnace. So I spoke to the case manager and told him that I will have my technician to replace everything for me and requested Choice home warranty to reimburse only the evaporator coil and associated labor cost (which is approved anyways). But he didn't agree and didn't give me any proper reason. Again, I am not able to understand why. Terrible customer experience.

It take longer than expected for a company to be scheduled to respond to our service request, however. Not sure what the hold up was. When we took the policy we were advised that LOCAL companies are used by CHOICE. This does not seem to be the case, though.

Plumber came out 2 months ago to fix toilet that handle had come off and couldn't flush. Then after 10 days of reporting a second claim the problem still exists. I have responded to denial of toilet being replaced. Jade my advocate was to reach out to plumber to get opinions on getting new toilet. Again after 2 days NO options have been reported to me. Jade never reached out to plumber so this could get resolved!

I am very dissatisfied more like pissed off of the fact that CHW gets their monthly payments from me and many other blue collars workers, to have a tech come out and not be able to do any of the 3 things I asked him to fix because, CHW did not cover any of them and also charged me $75 to do absolutely nothing at all! They did not cover the dispense motor that’s was out, they did not cover the door seal that was worn, and they do not cover any drawers nor dome lights that they did not mention me when I spoke to a Rep about purchasing the warranty.
They also say they have minimal coverage when it comes to roof, Believe them when they say that because, all they cover is shingle repairs at best! I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone who is looking for a good Home Warranty Coverage at all. I am dropping them like a bad habit and joining another home insurance that a friend of mine referred me to with better coverage on any home appliance, roofs and A/C.

We were not yet aware that there was a problem with our air-conditioning upstairs until we started smelling something that resembled a light burning too hot. We isolated it to the AC because of the slight smell coming from the vent, and immediately turned the unit off. We filed a claim late Sunday evening and someone with Robert & Sons AC & Heating was at our home by Monday early afternoon. Problem fixed and AC back running! Dallas was back to the 90s outside and our 17-year-old boys were just starting exams, so the fact that it was resolved so quickly was a blessing!

The technician who came to our house was friendly and knowledgeable. However my dissatisfaction is related to the service after that I have received. Instead of replacement value, I am being offered approximately 60% of the cost to replace. So now I have to decide if I need a washing machine or an oven more. I also still do not have this money. Why would it take 30 days to provide Lowe's gift cards. I chose this option because I thought it would be faster than waiting for a check. Now I am stuck without a stove or a washing machine for at minimum a month. You have certainly been prompt enough about taking my premiums, yet I have to go without for 30 days and that is if you actually do what you say, which at this point I am starting to doubt, as the replacement value has proven to be dishonest.

Tech was great. Resolved the problem right away. Only issue was the tech arrived later than you said. But he did contact us and tell us he would be later, and that was OK. He also reviewed the operational aspects of the controls with us. Good experience overall. Emails were informative and timely.

My septic system was overflowing on the ground and Choice couldn't help me. I had to find my own company to be reimbursed which can take up to 30 days. Just seems like Choice doesn't have companies that are willing to work with them as a quote from the company that I chose.

This is the second time I have contacted Choice for an issue. It wasn’t critical but I needed it done. The response was immediate and an appointment was scheduled for the following week, which wasn’t a problem. I was given an appointment window of 11 to 3PM. He was here at 11. Took care of the issue in about 25 minutes. Very pleased, as always.

Not extremely happy with the process of my coverage. Not happy, not happy. I paid for the warranty, I pay for the service and then I have to pay for the upgrade because the company can't repair the problem. Choice is double dipping.

We had an issue with a running toilet and the appt was scheduled in a timely manner and the technician arrived on time and efficiently fixed the problem. He also gave me a couple recommendations for making claims. He was also here several months ago and did a good job then too.

Rudy from Trinity Pro Services was great. On time, communicative, and clear. The company is also responsive. Choice? Well, I turned my a/c on for the first time in the season, and was fine for a couple of days. Then it quit cooling. Although the claim process was easy, it turns out I was mislead up on signing about using my own contractor (Strike one). I am happy with TPS, though. Choice, however, determined my a/c unit had a "pre-existing condition" and wasn't eligible. (Strike 2). I did sign a longer contract based upon being able to use my guys, but based on this I am not likely to renew. Hopefully, there won't be a Strike three, though.

Filing the claim was very easy. Choice Warranty sent Total Plumbing. The plumbers came with in a 24 hrs period. They were very professional and kind. They came in and got right to work. My clog was cleared in no time, then cleaned up after themselves. My dogs loved them. I would strongly recommend their services. This is my first claim with Choice Warranty. After having another Warranty company that took a week to get a professional to fix my refrigerator.

I paid a fee to have a faucet fixed only to have the repair declined by Choice. Now I still have the problem and I'm still out the $85 Dispatch fee. It will be cheaper to just drop Choice and pay for my repairs myself. I will not renew my plan with Choice home warranty because I have to pay out of pocket to have a technician come to my house only to get claims denied by Choice. That is math just doesn't add up. Now I have to get this faucet replaced myself. More out of pocket expence and more time off work.

So my Thermador oven isn’t working in my home. This unit also has a microwave above the oven. It is a one piece. So Choice sends me an email offering me $1012.00 to replace my oven? I told them, "That price is ridiculous. This unit sells for $7,600 and even a basic wall oven and microwave at Home Depot is over $2,600"? The woman tells me, "Is the microwave broken?" I said, "No but it’s one piece. It can’t be separated"? She then tells me they will only pay for the oven and that’s it? Now I can’t separate the oven from the microwave and there’s absolutely nothing you can buy for what they want to give?
So then she says they will only offer retail prices not what a store will offer? So I said, "Fine. You people buy me an oven for that price and install it?" Her next comment was, "We don’t shop for appliances?" That’s obvious considering what they are trying to pay. I also told her, "Are you aware Choice is in a class action suit for doing exactly what you’re trying to do to me right now?" she said she had no idea what I was talking about? Right!!! We are at a standstill as of right now and one thing is for sure, there is absolutely no way I could recommend Choice Home Warranty!!!

Excellent and timely service by Choice Home Warranty. When I create ticket the turnaround time is quick. The contractors from chw are very responsive and help to solve my issue within 2 to 3 days. I was able to file my claim online with no problem or human intervention which saved me time. I was scheduled for a repair he and was very knowledgeable. Fixed the issue in 10 mins. He also showed me how to fix it myself in the future. The software package somehow was not working. The technician told me to get on YOU TUBE to Learn how to program the unit.

On Friday, May 17, A/C at my rent house quit working. Choice Hone Warranty was notified; later that afternoon I received notice of when they would come on Monday. Repairman was there at noon Monday; the unit was repaired. I subsequently listed my property for rent. Very responsive to my need!

Never ever get in their trap, you will be sorry. They will reject your claim saying pre-existing condition was not met. They have excuses for everything. They never answer the support/claim calls, and ask you to leave your number, and sometime call after two hours, sometime next day when you are busy, and no follow up. The support representatives behave so rudely, even their managers are rude. They don't hesitate to yell at you, stop you in between, and refuse to escalate on face, saying, "I can not bring my manager/supervisor on phone."
A claim specialist was assigned to my claim, and asked to schedule a call. But she did not call me, and when I call back on that extension, somebody else answered on that extension, and forcing me to work with her. Their sales folks are so rude and raise voice at me saying, "We are number 1 company." Number 1 company my foot, you are scam. They collected two months of regular fees from me, and some additional fees to cancel. I read reviews on yelp and other websites, and thank god I cancelled my plan, horrible horrible reviews. When they get your number, and email, they call you like hell, and send 3 emails everyday to sign up. Think 100 times before signing up. Go for AHS, regretting to stop AHS plan, but I will get them again.

There was no reason to have a technician come out and pay $75 if no coverage. I am a new client of Choice who came highly recommended and so far, I'm pleased with the customer service and claims department.

I have made at least 20 calls, 20 or more texts and claims including my housemate who also has done that and let plumbers in at least 9 times and my simple Delta Shower Faucet is still not fixed. I really don't know why because they say all kinds of ridiculous things to me with many obvious lies!!! It ruined living here for my housemate and she demanded compensation and has moved. My new housemate is furious they haven't come to fix it for last 2 months. They talk about replacing it but Choice won't give the OK. This is the worst service I've had in my life!!!! Writing Choice over and over and even calling a rep is almost a useless waste of time!!!!

I placed a new claim last week. It took several days for the claim to get picked up by a local company, and they won’t come out to look at my dishwasher until tomorrow, which is 6 days from when I filed the claim. It doesn’t matter so much for a dishwasher, but it would really be a big deal for a clogged toilet or a broken refrigerator.

I am leaving a negative review for Choice Home Warranty based on a recent interaction. I sold my home and called to cancel my warranty. My monthly payment to them was pending and I was told that, as soon as the payment cleared, they would refund the current month's amount based on the fact that my home sold prior to the payment going through. I was given the direct number to the cancellation department and was told to call back after the payment cleared. I called them back today, having seen that the payment cleared yesterday, and was told that I would not get a refund for the current month. I gave her the name of the employee who made the promise about the refund and she proceeded to argue with me about the veracity of my 'story'. The manager I spoke with was belligerent and bullying in her demeaner. A nasty interaction.

The first impression was when the rep I originally contacted was rude and negative. My sister Tina ** told me that Choice Home Warranty was a good company for my home. So then when Elliot ** called me this morning he was pleasant to talk with even though he talked fast. When I ask him to slow down he made sure I understood what he was saying. I did end up purchasing a home warranty for 42 months. All because Elliot was kind.

We had outside GFCI outlet replaced 2021 and it's not working again. Choice Home Warranty responded very quick. Thank you for the peace of mind to have home warranty. They can not fix then they replaced. So far I am very pleased with CHOICE Home warranty. I do recommend to anyone who own the home.

The person, Patrick was efficient and professional and fixed the problem very quickly. My issue was the amount of time it took from the time I called to the time I heard from Choice. My understanding was, someone would reach out within 4 hours and it wasn’t until the next day. Yes, it was the weekend but for 24/7 service I thought that was a bit much. It wasn’t until the 3rd day before the repair took place. I would to see the much time in the future with AZ temps.

I have not received the phone call or an answer to my email. Your records should show that I bought this policy for 5 years and so far I don't think that anything has been fixed.... I am an 82 year old widow and I thought at the time that your company would be there/here for me. Do I have a choice here? The faucet is built in the kitchen sink and you say it isn't covered. Would you tell me what the next step should be?

My washing machine stopped working. Choice Home Warranty got a technician to my house in 8 days. They determined the part cost is not the best option so they offered a buyout of $343. I called stating I want it replaced or fixed not a buyout. They made me go online to request a case manager be assigned. I had to wait 4 days for a case manager to call me. She said they no longer replace the appliances when they determine the best long term is a buyout. Therefore, my only option is an gift card to Lowe's or a check in the mail. This was not my understanding when I purchased the warranty. I will be canceling and going with a different company. I have only been with them for 7 months and I bought it for 6 years. Their customer service is horrible and they will tell you lies so you go with them.

Choice Home Warranty has proven to be a good decision. They are responsive and provide quality service. The technicians they send for repairs are professional, kind and understanding. They sometimes have trouble securing the parts needed, but that seems to be universal. They always call just before they arrive and arrive as close to the scheduled time as can be expected.

Tyler (Sears Tech) is knowledgeable, professional, and willing to help with questions about the service, appliances, and process. I recommend Tyler to anyone and hope if we have any other problems that we get Tyler again. He's serviced us 3-4 times and has been a big help to us. When he has parts to put on the appliance, he orders them and picks them up so we don't have to.

Contractor arrived as scheduled and determined the problem quickly and repaired the issue efficiently and made sure that no mess was left behind. KWIK Heating and Air was very polite. I would definitely recommend this company as they were diligent and successful in repairing the cause of my HVAC malfunction.

The plumber came out during the window of time promised. He was quick to diagnose the original problem and found another problem more concerning with our pressure regulator. He called the warranty company and they advised replacing the anti-siphon valve in the basement isn't covered but if I called them about replacing the pressure regulator it would be covered. It was way too high at 120. He fixed both problems quickly and efficiently. I will call Plumb Rite for any future needs.

Albert was great and a pleasure to work with in activating the new service. The process was quick and he did a great job in explaining the service. He sent me a verification of my account. The cost was low compared to AHS and he spoke English and I could understand him. He was patient in answering all my questions. I like that have his number to call him if I have any questions. All Star Appliance fixed the dishwasher and put in a new water pump that the previous company lied about replacing and saying was fixed. Finally, an honest repair company. This took months before the dishwasher was finally fixed. Very disappointing service until All Star arrived on the scene. Had to pay for three different repairmen. Not the best for customer relations!

My claim was assigned on a timely manner. The contractor assigned was communicative and was able to complete the job in less than a week. (Water Heater replacement). The only down part is the non-covered cost (Labor and disposal), I was not aware of it but at least I was able to save money on the water heater.

I am very satisfied with our tech from LIFETIME APPLIANCE, Isaac is a very responsible, polite young man. I have yet to receive a check to replace my oven range of 38 yrs. I think I should have gotten about $50 more in accord with the contract. The replacement policy is not what Sal ** quote me over the phone; it isn't like our former plan with Sears Master Protection. I guess it will have to due for several more years. (LIFETIME APPLIANCE, however, gets 5 stars!)

Mr. ** (the technician) came over. He did something on the unit and he said that everything was fixed. I paid the required $85.00 co-pay, he gave me a receipt and handed me his business card. Before leaving, Mr. ** said that if I have any problem to call him, as the service has a 3-month warranty. It happen that the AC did exactly the same has been doing for the last 3 days. (Stopped cooling and blowing hot air). I called Mr. ** twice. No answer. I sent him two text messages. No answer. I send CHW a message explaining the situation and I have not received any response as yet. I have reached to the conclusion that my subscription to CHW does not worth. Please cancel my membership and refund my co-pay ASAP. THANK YOU.

My salt cell went out. After calling the CHW to report the problem, I was quickly contacted by Pure Pool and made an appointment. After the appointment, I was told I needed a new salt cell. Authorization was received and two days later the Pure Pool tech came out and installed the new salt cell. Overall a good experience.

I waited 2 days- but CHW was not able to assign a technician. I selected the reimbursement option and located my own technician. The technician opened the wall casing, removed the a/c unit, and uploaded the model number of the a/c unit to CHW. CHW denied my claim saying the a/c unit was considered a "window" unit even though the room has no windows. I got stuck with the entire repair bill.

I have to pay $65 irrespective of what the damage is and whether he can fix it or not, which is okay, but Choice is not providing the service. They just take my call and call a local vendor to come and fix it. Then, if I have a complaint against it, I call the vendor. If I had called that vendor, they may have done the work in $30 but Choice is charging me 65.
Also, as far as I understand it, I will pay $65 and the tech will come and try to fix it and if it is not fixable, Choice is responsible for getting the part, getting the material, and putting a new place in system. This last time, there was a problem with our sink faucet. The tube had broken. This guy came and he said that the manufacturer has a lifetime warranty of their pieces so I should call them and they would send the thing to me and he would come and fix it. That's not my responsibility. He should do it. But I called the manufacturer and they said that it would cost me for them to send it and because I wanted it urgently, they said that's another $25. I ended up paying something like $80 on it. They shipped it and then I called the tech. He came and fixed it. But I should not have paid that $80. It has left a taste in my mouth.
Then, the duration of a claim versus the delivery of the service is a big issue. Their advertising doesn't say that it will come within 48 hours. They give the impression it's readily available but it's not. I had a damaged garage door and the tech said he didn't think this was gonna get fixed and that it would give me problems so I have to get a new panel in. They ordered a new panel but he told me to pay for it. I'm not very happy.

I submitted a claim for my dishwasher and stove, but was told it would need to be treated as 2 separate $75 claims. This is contrary to the response I received from Jonen **, who sold me the contract, when I specifically asked if multiple appliance issues or plumbing issues could be submitted on 1 claim. Maybe the rep I spoke with is new and does not know the process. Or maybe it was Jonen. Not a great start with Choice.

I truly have appreciated the respect of the folks that came to our house to fix the dryer and to look at the attic fan. We had two claims both times we received a phone call in advance of the visit. Both companies were very respectful and the one for the attic did not park in front of the house. He put shoe covers on and was very nice. The dryer was just fixed this morning.
