I made my first claim for an A/C issue and I am surprising very pleased. I've not had good home warranty relationships in the past. The technician was professional and thorough and didn't give me the usual spiel of having to contact the warranty company to authorize what he said needed to be done; he just came back into my home and let me know the work had been done...no drama. Very appreciative of the way my claim was handled.

When I took Choice Home Warranty, I specifically asked about coverage for the water heater. I was told it was covered. Nobody told me that the tank was not covered. At no time was I told there were exclusions in the coverage. I had just moved into a new house and bought all new appliances so they weren’t important for coverage. My concern was the heater, A/C, and the water heater. They were the questions I asked. I feel I was lied to. I am reporting this to the BBB.

Technician was prompt and kept us apprised of his arrival. His work was professional and he diagnosed the problem quickly. The repair was done quickly as well. I would welcome him again if any problems arise in the future.

Without even knowing what model my Hunter fans are, Choice Home Warranty concluded that my fans are under warranty and that I need to contact Hunter Fan in order to get them replaced. If I would have thought it was going to take this much work on my part, taking time off from work to do Choice Home Warranty's job by contacting the fan manufacturer, then I never would have spent all the money I did to get the warranty to begin with. They make it such a hassle that you eventually just give up. That's perfect for Choice Home Warranty because then they don't have to pay anything for the appliance to get replaced. What a scam! They don't know this, but I'm also going to tell all three thousand friends about it on Facebook and Instagram.

You want feedback, call me. I truly regret leaving my last warranty company. I never expected the first interaction with Choice to be horrific. Your reviewer obviously didn’t read the tech report and just blindly denied the service, call, parts required to fix my A/C and then Choice accused me of having a preexisting condition! Are you people really that smart that you can never examine my unit and then from your ivory tower in New Jersey tell me something blatantly false about my unit while keeping a poor tech you called out on the hook at 5 pm with a horrible decision! I paid it all out of my pocket and thank you Choice, my unit works great after a 75 dollar part was installed and NO there was no preexisting condition!

I have currently been with a/c for 8 days in 100 degree weather. The first vendor they assigned didn't even have a working telephone. That took 3 days of waiting to find out. Then they couldn't find another vendor (unbelievable) so they tasked me to find someone. That was easy until they diagnosed the issue. The cost to repair is $2030 and they want to give me $1300. All I do is call, get the runaround. No one knows anything but basic information which isn't helpful when you have a specific question. They tell you they will call back and they don't.
I've made more than 20 calls and spent countless hours on the phone holding trying to get answers. As a matter of fact, I am on hold now. 10 minutes and 33 seconds already. I will gladly update my comments if they help. Otherwise, this is a joke. They will find any reason not to cover your issue and then ignore your plea for help. Look me up (if that's possible). Ask me about my experience before you choose this company.

The agent was very helpful. He gave me a detailed description of the warranty and answered all my questions completely. He also did what he could on the pricing for me. I felt like he was working for me as a service.

Chin said he needed to replace a part. Then he said it has to be replaced and gave me a Lowe's gift card, I will go to Lowe's and pick out another dryer when I receive the gift card. They were very helpful.

I am a fan of the plan and the customer service, however, your salesman (Andre) was pushy and was not understanding of what a first time homebuyer goes through. When a customer asks for a quote for to put a call on hold, your salesman should not push to continue the call just to get the sale. While he did make the sale this time, there might be another time where he loses the sale due to his pushy mentality.

Claim was put in on June 17, 2021 for refrigerator not working. Was assigned 2 times to a company that won't work with them. This caused a lot of needless waiting time. I've already waited almost 2 months, and now waiting a month for an egift card for Lowe's to replace. I have to wonder if I will receive this egift card as I've lost faith in this company. Could be 3 months, or longer, if I never receive this egift card. Very disappointed because this whole thing is a nightmare. They advertise "peace of mind", but that isn't what I have received.

I was not happy when I called with a plumbing emergency to find that the faucet on the outside wall of my house which comes from a pipe in my house wasn’t covered. Why have a home warranty. I would not recommend this company.

Choice Home didn't find me a technician. It wasn't until I found my own technician and had them call Choice that Choice worked things out with my technician that my service call was complex within the next 2 hours. I paid the service call fee and my AC was up and running.

Justin was amazing. He arrived early, diagnosed the problem right away and had us up and running shortly. He also found a couple of other issues that he was able to fix. He also explained the challenges with living in Tennessee with the heat and humidity so we could understand how our system works.

Malfunctioning of Air Conditioner. 3 days of 92 degree heat and high humidity is just too long to wait for service here in Florida. Therefore I cancelled service and call a local repair company which came out in the 2 hour service window. I love your programs but you have to find service contractors locally who can meet the needs sooner.

Technician arrived earlier than expected and was very professional. He fixed the problem quickly too. The a/c needed a new fan motor which he installed within 20 minutes and our unit was back in service. I highly recommend this warranty service and this subcontractor.

The plumber was pleasant. He came in described what needed to be done, left and did not return. I called the company and they informed me it would take several days for the materials to arrive. This upset me because I had a high water bill 9 months earlier. The supervisor assured me that a letter would be given to give the water company to cover the increase in the use of water.

Technician repaired bathroom issue quickly and professionally. The technician was able to answer questions and was very prompt. I would recommend him to a friend for services. I submitted a claim previously and it took forever for the company to respond to me. However, this time, the experience was totally different. I think the company must have improved their protocol. I've been trying to reach someone not in a call center to talk with about a claim they have denied. No one will answer my emails or calls. The repair should have been covered according to my policy. This is the second pump repair they have refused to pay. The first incident was pre-covid. Now this recent pump repair was previously repaired by the same plumber, too. So, there are a few issues which need to be addressed. I was without water for two days. Their customer service is non-existent in reference to this particular claim.

The technician from J&N was very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue with our Fisher & Paykel dishwasher immediately and was also able to address the issue with our range. We took his card and will use him in the future even for non-warranty issues.

I discovered my AC was not working on Friday night. I left an email message to CHW on Saturday. I received an email reply on Monday morning and repair was completed by noon on Monday. Since the unit is just 2 years old, I also called the installing company. They have yet to call me.

The people I've dealt with are courteous but it's been 30 days and we have not reached an agreement. It's been 2 wks since I last heard from my rep and that was just a response to my question of did she receive the last picture she requested of my oven panel. Apparently there was a question about my oven having a convection option. It would be nice to know if they have reached a decision or still reviewing...

Their motto of if we can’t fix it we will Replace it is not true. My AC unit went. It was deemed not fixable and they refused to replace it. Save your money!!! Then you appeal the claim By email and they still say no. My claim was denied because my compressor was only 14 years old and not 15 years old. You're probably going huh?? Because that makes no sense but seeking an attorney because I know I am not the only one this has happened to!!!!

The technician was thorough, focused and answered our questions patiently. For the most part, tech was neat and conscious about getting the job done without incidents! He was not unable to answer any of our multiple questions. The tech called to let us know that he was on his way and he was at the house in a timely way. He did not protest when asked to mask.

Chase called us before visiting the home. He arrived on time. On arrival, he quickly diagnosed the issue. He went up to Lowe’s to get replacement parts and fixed the issue. We are happy the fans are working fine. Chase has a cheerful personality. He was friendly and professional. I’d highly recommend Chase for any electrical work.

The technician showed up on time, courteous, and efficient. He made the repair and checked the system is working properly, and left. A few weeks before we called for service to the A/C, and some guy showed up, didn't inspect anything, and just said that the outside unit needed to be cleaned. And that was going to cost $250 extra, not covered by the warranty. Pure rip off. He collected the $75 fee and left without doing anything.. We weren't happy with that service at all. And I don't believe we should have paid the second $75 fee yesterday. But we paid it to the technician because we were happy with his work.

Unable to speak with Supervisor, was hung up on twice, promised to call me back twice. No return calls received. I paid 5 years in advance and almost 2 years left. First in 2018 dishwasher was to be replaced and I only received $179. It cost me approx $500 for exact same dishwasher and another $125 installation, not willing to negotiate. Now air conditioner wasn’t working on a day that a heat advisory had been issued, they were unable to find a technician to send out and asked me to find my own which I did on a Saturday when I had to be at work at 1pm, technician was able to come out a fix before I had to leave for work and I paid now I can’t get a reimbursement. I tried to cancel my policy but again was disconnected. I’m now waiting for a return call from a supervisor. I’m so frustrated with the way this company treats me and will be sharing with everyone I know how I’m being ignored and no one seems to care.

I would like to give a very positive review, but it is too soon to give an accurate review. The claim was recognized very quickly within minutes of my online claim. I was sent notices of when and which repairman would be coming. I was contacted by the repairman to give me notice of his approximate arrival. He arrived within a reasonable amount of time. Amazing response to my claim and in sending a repairman. One question is when an online claim is filed by claimant, I was unsure what my claim included. Unfortunately, when the repairman came, he did not have the full claim I had placed. So now I am unsure if I filled in the claim correctly. This is the reason I cannot give a positive review.

Very easy to submit a ticket. Service person arrived within stated time frame. Tried fixing the issue before determining a part needed to be ordered. Explained it would probably be about a week before the part came in and I would be contacted once that happens.

Best Customer Service received from Big Hoss, The Cool Guy! He was on time, called ahead, and temporarily resolved the dishwasher until he receives the pump, for replacement. I was very pleasantly surprised that a technician was scheduled to come repair our a/c unit within 24 hours. I entered my claim on Sunday night, and the technician arrived Monday morning. He was able to repair it the same day. The technician was professional, knowledgeable and efficient.

We filed a claim on a Sunday night for a refrigerator repair and the service man was there by 11am the next morning! Excellent response time. Last warranty company we used two days to have a service company arrive for an air conditioning problem.

Joe the technician was excellent. He was on time and was very knowledgeable about the problem. However we are not happy with Choice Home. We had to pay total cost of our air conditioner, they only paid part of the microwave cost. And they only paid part of the clothes washer. Joe was the technician for the garage door. He did a great job.

Usually this time of year it is hard to get help quickly because of the heat. Add on the limited number of people working during COVID. This was a quick and effective response by the vendor solved the problem for our tenant.

Tech was very courteous and professional. He helped get my air conditioner motor replaced and back up running very quickly. Afterwards he made sure that the unit was cooling inside properly then explained that it might take a while to get everything cooled down. He was very helpful and polite.

I am aware that there may be a shortage of help, but I was used to being called and informed of who would contact me about an issue as well as receive follow-up emails. Now I just get an email and oftentimes I do not see the messages until it is almost too late and I have had to re-arrange my schedule to make certain I didn't miss the pre-arranged service call.

My AC unit went out and I put a online service request in at 11pm at night and received at call by 2pm the next day and a technician by 8am the following day. Unit was fixed and the service tech was professional and explained all the repairs he completed. Thanks again for the great service!

Though repair technician arrived 2 hours later than was set up by his company, the company let me know why he would be late. He got to work immediately and explained as he worked what needed to be done. He finished quickly and bagged up the waste and took it to the trash. I was happy.

It took several weeks to get an appointment. My previous warranty company had a better turnaround time. No issues to report with the technician as we ended up cancelling. Not super excited about rescheduling knowing it will take weeks to get another appointment, but it wasn't avoidable.

The technician was very nice, knowledgeable and professional. My problem was with the customer service department at CHW. I felt like they were not trying to fix my problem. I eventually had to ask for a supervisor. I was told that it would take up to 24 hours. The resolution person was helpful. Thank you Lorna for making my day end well.

I'm very pleased with both the expediting my claim and the response of the technician. Once he determined what the issue was, which turned out to be thermostat, instead of putting the replacement off until the next day, he came back and replaced and fixed our problem. My family is very grateful that we were sent a caring person. I had surgery that day and to return home and the air conditioner was working was a Blessing. Worst warranty company on earth! 9 month long claim never handled. Found out the last call they made for my claim was 7 months ago. I had to find someone myself and got someone to my house the next day and fixed 2 days later. Then CHW found every possible reason they could not to cover the repair or any portion. DO NOT AND WILL NEVER RECOMMEND CHW TO ANYONE. And I will definitely spread the word of my awful experience.

HVAC is Not cooling in the downstairs. Hvac may have a bad fan motor. It is not turning. It is Hot in the house. Looks like it will be Thursday before we get it serviced. 4 day to get services that is a little long. I could have got serviced today with a local repairman.

It's been 3 days since I placed a claim. You gave me the option to get my own technician because you couldn't secure one yourself. I did so and the technician came out to diagnose and provide a response to CHWclaims.com. They did so and you're now asking for more information from them. I subscribed and paid for a 5 yr. home warranty w/ CHW. I operate my own business; I understand customer service. My expectations are reasonable, and CHW falls way short based on my experience. The schedule to have a technician respond was a week away . . This doesn’t work when your refrigerator is not working. I lost $300 - $400 in food due to the amount of time my claim was scheduled with a technician (thank goodness the problem was not my AC). I was told by a “claim’s rep” that I would get a phone call from a claim’s manager or supervisor . . NO CALL ever came my way. They just don’t seem to care!

When I called company to ask where part was man was rude and hung on me. Said he could not track part and didn’t know when it would be in. After buying 2 warranties one for myself one for my mom then I’ve gotten Several phone calls saying they can lower My service fee to $60 and lower my price if I buy another year… Not sure if the calls were real and why now lower my price… We live in Wisconsin. Updated on 08/12/2021: On Sunday (8/8) my dryer went out in terms of not creating heat to dry the clothes. I called Choice Warranty the following day and made a claim. At first, Choice Warranty was having difficulty finding a technician in my area (South Suburb of Chicago) to come out to do the repair. However, the following day I got an email from Choice Warranty advising that they found a technician and he would be out on Wednesday (8/11) between 7:00 -11:00 am. Joe from Zion Heating and Cooling arrived at about 9:00 am after first calling to notify me he was on his way. He was able to make the repair within 30 minutes. Very pleasant and helpful repairman and spoke to me about what caused the problem. I only had to pay the regular service fee. I was quite happy with this overall experience.
Original Review: So far all I have done is reported the claim. I am interested in how this claim turns out with my dryer because I was not at all pleased with how my claim turned out with my washer a few years ago. Yet I still signed on with Choice Warranty for another 4 years so I have been with Choice Warranty for about 7-8 years total. Like I said it will be interesting to see how they treat a "loyal customer" this time.

CHW quickly responded to my issue. I contacted them on a Wednesday and an appointment was scheduled with a service technician to come out the following Monday. I like the idea that CHW gives you ALL the information about the technician; name, date, time and their phone number. This allows you the flexibility to contact the technician if the time does not suit your schedule.

Our ac unit freon line developed holes from normal wear and tear over the span of 10 years which caused the compressor to go out. Choice HomeWarranty has poor decision making as always & decided it was from NOT normal wear and tear! We will be changing our warranty company once our term is up.

Choice is no longer a good choice. Now they are denying claims based on criteria in which you’d want a home warranty (e.g. things break under normal wear and tear - not covered); even when you have a maintenance plan in place (e.g. HVAC). Buyer beware. They must have a limit on claims' lifetime they’ll cover for a customer and then start denying claims. They took our renewal $$ paid up front for 6 more years then Choice started denying claims. The last claim denied the plumber/provider said they have never seen Choice deny that service. Something fishy going on. Filing a complaint with the BBB.

Reported issues with our AC Units in July. Had a vendor assigned, who apparently notified Choice that they could not service our units. That is not good customer service at all from your company till I got a call from Britney. She was great to explain everything to me. This is more about Pioneer than Choice. They were called out twice in a 26 day period. The workman Ryan was GREAT but the owner, Ron **, whom I had to deal with on the phone, along with Edith (working under Ron ** instructions) was awful. I mentioned that it was not fixed right the first time and it had only been 21 days and that I shouldn't have to pay the service charge again. Edith and Ron both fought me even though I called Choice and Rodrigo helped me by sending them an email confirming it. I had to call and reschedule until they got the email. I got it but they said they didn't.

I was very satisfied with Rich, the service technician's work, who came to assess the noise coming from the upstairs air conditioning unit. Once he replaced the old fan motor with a new one, it has been running noise free which is especially important during the hot summer months. I was pleased with Choice Home Warranty who quickly approved the replacement work to be done after Rich consulted with them leaving me to pay the expected $75 service fee.

I had a 3 hour A/C outage on 08/03/21. I called Choice Home Warranty and got a mechanized voice that asked me to give my claim info. I called Choice the next day. They said my tentative appt was 08/06 7am-11am & have me the name of the vendor AB & E heating and cooling. I called them and left a message. No one ever called back on 08/04 or 08/05. I called on 08/06 and spoke to a man who never apologized for no call back, but a technician would be at my house by 11am and would call before he got here. The technician called at he was here at about 11am. He was professional, looked at my unit, said he could find nothing wrong. I had asked a friend interim because the temp was over a hundred every day this week. He told me to turn the system and leave it off for at least a half hour, I did that and the system must have somehow “rebooted” itself because it came back on! I asked the technician Rich to look at it anyway, just in case. He was here about an hour and 15 minutes. I gave him the service fee and he was gone.

Since I have been waiting almost 4 months for the original contractor to replace the failed recirc pump, the only thing I am happy about, no relieved, at this point is that Shauntel, my case manager for this claim, and Jose, agreed to reassign my claim to new contractor. In any case, they were both apologetic and understanding once this matter was brought to their attention.
I would have given 5 stars instead of 4 had it not been for the protracted delays and untruths by the original contractor, which was no fault of either Shauntel or Jose's, and the apparent lack of concern by two other CHW employees - a male and a female employee whose names I do not recall - whom I separately discussed this issue with about a week or so apart who, incredibly, both told me, after all the delays I had already experienced, that I had to not only submit a new claim, but would also have to pay another copay because my original claim was closed out after 30 days because no one told them of the delays.
All along I thought that the contractor was responsible for advising CHW of any delays they encountered since the contractor was hired by CHW, and I could not find anything in the contract that indicated I, rather than the contractor, was responsible for notifying CHW of contractor delays. Thank you Shauntel and Jose for reassigning my almost 4 month old claim to another contractor and for all your excellent assistance.

The tech who came out was great and diagnosed the problem. However Choice Home Warranty chose to replace the refrigerator rather than repair it. This sounds good however they gave me only a fraction of what it will take to replace it and in the form of a Lowe’s voucher. (Which I have not received yet and I have been without a refrigerator for over six weeks now) I would prefer to have choices of where to purchase my appliances as a better price may be available elsewhere and since they covered only a fraction of the replacement cost price is essential for me and my limited income.

This has been the worse experience. My original claim was placed 8/4/21. It took the technician two days to come out. He did a complete examination and determined the unit was dead. I was later told another technician would have to come out for a second option, but not until next Monday 8/9/21. So no hot water with kids in the house for close to a week and I still have a few more days until the new technician get approval. This has been a horrible experience.

Did not expect my garage door to stop opening, but who does. This was my 1st claim since I purchased CHW. After entering in my information I got an immediate response for an appointment in 2 days. Worked for me. Technician called and arrived within the time window. He evaluated the issue (broken spring) and called CHW to get the job approved. That only took about 10mins. They would cover $300 for a job estimated at $335. Not sure why they didn’t cover it all but I was happy. Took him about 1 1/2 hrs to complete and door was fixed. So, for $100 (35 + 65 trip charge) job well done. Technician was very nice, professional and cleaned up after. Always a nice touch. :)

The front door would not remain closed which made the clothes washer useless. I filed the claim Thursday evening around 9:30 pm. I received an email Friday morning informing me a repairman would arrive in the afternoon. The repairman arrived on time and began his evaluation. He repaired the door but found other problems and reported them to Choice. Choice determined it would be best to replace the washer. We decided to select the Lowe’s e-gift card. We are now waiting for the card.

Pay a certain amount of money a month and when it's time to use service they give you minimum amount for something that cost more. Then after you speak to the people you have to wait another three weeks to get the money. You need to purchase the new item so what am I really paying for the service for. Need the washing machine to wash clothes. That is several more weeks added on have to go to laundry. Not fair.

The technician from KJ Mechanical HVAC was very professional, pleasant, and friendly. Very knowledgeable about HVAC. I would recommend this company to other people. But I would not recommend CHOICE Home Warranty to anyone else. It appears to me you all not cover a lot of what you are saying and what the contract list. But the company was a nice company.

The Choice Warranty has sent many technicians and has completed the process of replacement. CHW will send a Lowe’s Gift card for $736.00 in order to buy a replacement Fridge. Send this gift card now please so I can apply it to the purchase. The store manager at the local Lowe’s says the process can’t be acceptable but he’ll credit my account if the Gift Card is processed and sent to me immediately.
We purchased a new fridge and expect delivery Sunday August 15 2021. Our old refrigerator went bad a few days before August 19 2021and I notified your company. Now your company requires me to wait another 2 to 4 weeks for the $736.00 Gift Card. This is unacceptable. My wife requires a high caloric diet to combat her medical diagnosis of Metastatic Breast Cancer. And requires a proper refrigerator to keep foods edible. I would appreciate this concern be addressed promptly and the Gift Card of $736.00 sent out. I talked to the store manager and appliance sales at Lowe’s and they Will honor the Gift Card and credit my American Express credit card but there’s a time limit. Please respond to this request. Submitted request online and technician was assigned. Job was completed quickly. All was very easy to do online and getting approval for troubled part to get replaced took less than an hour. After approved the technician sent an email and scheduled the next visit to complete the job.

Choice Home Warranty is not reliable. One might expect that if an appliance fails a suitable repair or replacement could be expected. I submitted a claim for a dishwasher that no longer works. After the repair person said a part would need to be ordered I received word from Choice Home Warranty that they had determined it would be more cost efficient to replace it vs repair. They have now offered me a $256 gift card to Lowe’s to replace a high end Jenn-Air dishwasher. They supposedly replace your appliance with a similar product and features. I cannot find a dishwasher that is similar to mine for less than $1100. If you are considering a home warranty company I would look elsewhere.

We had a plumbing stoppage in our kitchen and when it became apparent that we could not repair it ourselves we filed a claim. I filed the claim around 8 PM and received an immediate response with my claim number and a message to say it was being worked. First thing in the morning (7 AM) Laszlos Plumbing was assigned. They called shortly after and the issue was fixed by 10:30 AM! They did a great job! I can't believe how quickly the issue was resolved! I am so happy with Choice Home Warranty and very pleased at who they choose for repair. I am so glad that I have chosen to have home warranty insurance and will never, ever consider another home warranty company!!

I have swimming pool coverage. The four filters are encased in this filter housing. This component is part of the coverage. The only thing that can happen to it over time is cracking. The claim was denied. I am really not sure at this point why Choice would include the housing in the coverage. 'Cause nothing else can happen to it.

Connecting with Choice was easy and painless through the automated system. Called and had an appointment set for a few days later. Work was completed quickly but unfortunately we had to have him out again as the microwave stopped working again. It was explained that it's a process to find the cause of the problem which can take time and possibly multiple visits.

Overall, good experience. I didn’t know there was a 30 day window to accept the claim, but that was probably my fault. That was a bit confusing, so I had to have the technician come to my house. When I got the option to receive a gift card it was 1/2 the amount that was originally offered. The team fixed it, but that seemed a bit unusual.

I originally selected CHW for its thorough coverages and pricing. Garbage disposal was first issue to occur. CHW responded within a couple hours with a call from their recommendation shortly after. Repair appointment was scheduled within 24 hours of claim. Technician was prompt, friendly, professional and diagnosed the problem immediately. He gave me an education on the issue and how to resolve it. He fixed/reset the disposal and left within 15 minutes of arrival. Wonderful experience with CHW and with plumber recommendation & its technician.

Our first experience was not acknowledged. Our dishwasher quit. It was reported around July 15th along with our AC unit. Someone came out about the AC unit after we called a heating and AC company. The Technician was polite, he did the bare minimum exam of the AC. Put Freon in it. Said it may not last...It has a leak and left. On 08-02 our WH went out...still nothing on the DW from 07-15. Finally spoke with a person at CHW, DW will be reviewed on Mon 08-09. However, great results with WH. Claim approved, same day for new unit. Just waiting for new WH to be installed. WH technician was fantastic. Did his report and emailed to claims before leaving our house. Restoring my faith in CHW.

When I signed up with CHW I was under the impression that you took care of repairs in the home. But with your little fine print at the bottom of your contract, you get out of a lot of these repairs. Now in your surveys you ask if I would recommend your company to others. I have to hesitate on that decision. You don't cover everything inside the home. And that is my beef with your company. I had an electrical problem and you wouldn't cover it. Your advertising is **.

I have made a couple of claims on my Choice warranty. One was not too satisfactory. I had an older model dishwasher, and Choice kept sending repair people out without success. They finally paid me $400, after several months without a dishwasher. This was far less than what it would have cost to replace my better quality Jenn-Air model. The most recent experience was much better. Last week, my old garage door opener quit working, and Choice replaced it quickly with a reasonably good unit. While the first case could have, and should have, been handled much better, the second claim was done in a satisfactory manner.

Small repairs are paid/approved most of the time. However, for example - a/c repairs are hit or miss, even if the based requirements are met by the client. Also, when a unit, like a fridge, needs to be replaced, they offer small amount. If a client challenge the claim, they assigned a person to process the claim. This person never tells you that you have X amount of days, the client plays phone tag and at the end the case is closed claiming that the client never answered calls. PS, at the end they never pay anything for the replacement. That’s their goal, collect premiums and after find anything so they don’t have to pay for claims. As I mentioned, for small claims they are ok, large ones be prepared to pay in full.

My experience so far with your company is really bad. I will be giving it one more shot and if one more thing comes up that it doesn't cover. Then I will be going elsewhere. I appealed my washer because they say it's not wear and tear but no information about how it's damaged and it would have gotten damaged. Maybe more clarity and helpful people as to what is covered and what is not. Customer service had been really bad. People don't know how to answer my questions. Overall very unhappy with this warranty program.

The staff with your company were great but the repair tech leaves a little bit of bad taste. He was here yesterday looked at ac unit. Said it needed Freon. Said it had a leak. He needed to get approval from Choice before he added Freon. He was here at 9 and at 4:30 he hadn’t called in for approval and I called choice this morning and he still hasn’t called in for approval. I left two messages for him to call me and he hasn’t returned my call. I hope he has a reasonable explanation why I was left hanging in 90plus weather with no air.

It took 46 DAYS from the time I filed a claim and two techs who were assigned but refused to do the job because they weren't being paid by Choice warranty enough. Till a tech was found who did the job 54 days after I filed the original claim... Clear Reflection Pools and Spas did a great job... Just saying 54 days from the first work order till the repair was done...is that considered a reasonable amount of time?

My experience with Choice has been horrible, even worse than American Home Shield. I just got their service in April. I called them out for a dishwasher diagnosis/repair in July. I thought I was going to get a repair, but they said they would payoff the dishwasher rather than repair it. But the amount was a fraction of the cost of a comparable unit. So I asked for a case manager to discuss it. I set up appointment times via their website to speak to this assigned person. Twice this person did not call. I tried emails and phone calls with no success.
Finally, without any warning, a call came one day marked “Telemarketing” on my cell phone. Who would answer that? I later saw an voicemail that it was from the case manager! How was I to know! I called back immediately but got nothing. I am so frustrated with Choice that I went back to my original email from them with the buyout offer to accept it. I am tired of dealing with them. I clicked the offer but have yet to receive my email Lowe’s card! So now I will have to call them again. I am canceling my contract with them in September.

The customer service with setting up and appointment was awful. I had to call back three time to get my service set up. I think having this cover is useless because the font cover nothing. I had to replacement stove and dishwasher because the stop working was old. I ask what do you all give for replacement? He said you had to have someone to come out. IT'S not worth having. Greetings. Have had a good experience with Choice Home Warranty. I have been a customer for the last 2 years I believe and have always had good prompt service. This has been the third time I have had an issue with my water heater. Fortunately it is still under manufacturer warranty. I feel the previous technician should have done more and pursued the warranty route and replaced the unit.

Technician was polite, professional, and efficient. I would have given a higher rating, but CHW made us wait without air conditioning. Once the technician arrived, he quickly ascertained that the problem was not the filter or anything inside. He quickly diagnosed a problem with the capacitor and replaced it, fixing our AC.

I called And submitted a work order claim for my air conditioner which had stopped working. The repair technician came on Tuesday and problem was identified and repaired. It was a very hot night without air on Sunday and Monday nights. Thanks for the prompt response of this problem. I don't have any more to say about this issue.
