    Been right at a week with no A/C or Heat. Y’all has Copland Air come out. Coil had a hole in it. He called me & said it y’all wasn’t covering it. Witch I totally disagree with.     I've had only one positive experience with Choice HW. That was a simple circuit board replacement for my Jenn-Aire Oven. My Samsung refrigerator ice maker is still not fixed after several technicians were dispatched. The parts for the repair were never ordered! I've had to verify and reverify that my COVERED appliances were not under warranty. I would not recommend CHW to anyone! Seriously, I'm surprised that they are still in business! Now they want to give me only $547 for my Samsung washer. I'm done! They got their money and I got very little in return.

    My last service request for my thermostat. The first company, I am not sure of your process, however, the last few times I submitted for HVAC, this company always seem to get the bid. This last visit the technician was late the first day, rescheduled to the following day and still showed up late and was aggressively rude.     We have used the warranty twice and terrible each time. 1) First time was for an AC unit - they will not cover anything so don't bother. Wait times were horrible (They say 24hr service but that is also a lie! They let you put in a claim online 24/7 but that is the extent of it).. Pricing by their vendors was through the roof and 3x more than someone out of network for the same unit. 2) Our water Heater started leaking.. They say coverage is up to $3000, but what they don't tell you is they don't pay for the new installation AKA 'modifications to make sure the new unit is installed correctly' in a brand new house. Save your time and go with someone else.

    It took me several days from filing a claim online which is terrible service to finally talk to a human being to find out what is going on. It has been almost 2 weeks that I have been without a refrigerator and a technician only came out yesterday. He told me not to count on hearing anything for at least another 7 to 10 days and I am so upset. I don’t know what to do. A supervisor promise to call me and let me know what was going on step-by-step. That was last Tuesday. It has now been one week and I still have not heard anything from Choice. Now my standby refrigerator seems like it is going out the temperature in it. This morning is 42° so I guess I’ll file another claim today and see what happens with it. I have been in the real estate business over 50 years. We always use Choice Warranty for our customers. Never had any problem. I don’t know what’s going on now but I’ve had nothing but problems.

    I’ve been with Choice since April 2022. This is the first time I’ve had to file a claim, so far I’ve only filed the claim and the experience e was pleasant. The customer service rep was very helpful and nice. So far so good, but until the work is done I cannot say how w overall experience is going to be. I do have to call and add my washing machine to the claim. Since the dryer was not working I had not washed any clothes until these past 2 days. I see water on the floor underneath the washing machine. I did recommend a new homeowner to Choice a couple months ago and they did join. No one ever want to make that call, but it’s also the purpose of the program and services offered as well as we pay monthly premiums. In case we do need to take advantage of the services I hope any future experiences go well.

    I am not happy with Choice Home Warranty. The Repair Tech from Sears was great but, found out that the Washer needed to be replaced. Choice Home Warranty approved a low ball amount E-voucher to Lowe's. The amount doesn't even pay for a new washer!! I had to purchase on my own because, warranty didn't cover full replacement and dirty clothes were piling up. Also, I still haven't received an email E-voucher payment.     This is the worst company to be in a partnership with as a contractor. They have a policy for the contractors to buy the parts and get reimbursed. After the contractor has rendered services, they refuse to pay or change your approved amount to a much lower cost. We have lost thousands of dollars in parts and labor dealing with CHW. They also refuse to talk with you over the phone. You can only contact them via messages in their back office.     When I submitted my claim I was VERY pleased at the promptness of the scheduled visit (the very next day!) from the technician/company to assess my claim on the refrigerator that simply quit. Unfortunately, the technician never showed up, never called; the telephone number that Choice gave me didn't work. When I tried find a number for the company in my local phone book, the company wasn't listed. I checked the internet and no such company pulled up. When I contacted Choice Home Warranty, the best response I could get was 7 days later. I asked Choice Home to give me a way to contact the delinquent technician and was told that all they could give me was the phone number I already had.

    The second guy showed up on time (7 days later) but Choice Home said they couldn't find the part I needed and gave me a "buyout" offer. The offer was very reasonable, and I am waiting for delivery of a new refrigerator. This was all very frustrating, as I was out of town for 7 days, and my wife had to unload (and throw away) most of the stuff in the old fridge...the "next day" technician would have shortened my wait time by at least a week.

    I've been with Choice Home Warranty now for years and in my experience I have found that when it comes to major repairs like a AC/Heating unit or, in my more recent claim, my water heater, they finagle their way out of taking responsibility for any coverage. In this case, my water heater's tank was leaking and the unit was deemed unrepairable by the serviceman (who I actually have high praise for). Even though the water heater is listed as one of the appliances that the warranty company covers, they pointed me towards the 'fine print' which states that the "storage tank" is excluded. This, in itself is ridiculous since the storage tank IS the water heater. Just yet another way to get out of having to pay for a costly replacement.     CHW needs to improve their procedure for replacing bad hot water heaters. The technician should be able to make the determination, and begin the process of obtaining a replacement the moment the unit is declared unserviceable. After all, CHW selects their technicians. Empower them, and let them expedite replacements so that customers don't wait extra days while communications go back and forth between the technician, CHW and the third party that provides the hot water heater and other required parts to complete the service. We have been approved for replacement and approved the $480 cost, but have not heard back about the scheduled time for replacement. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and it's looking like we may not have hot water until after the holiday. There are better ways to do things. I am NOT faulting the technician... but CHW's current procedures.

    I had a routine maintenance check done on my Furnace (heating for the winter). The normal company that I use for the maintenance sent a technician. The technician inspected the system and told me that the "Heat Exchanger" has burn marks and that it would be dangerous to continue to run the furnace and that he had to shut it down as it could be dangerous and may emit Carbon Monoxide, and he shut the system down. He told me that I may have to replace the system or the heat exchanger.

    On 11/4/2022, I submitted a claim regarding an issue with my ductwork. On 11/8/2022, I received a status update stating that no repairs were needed or recommended at this time. This is a outright lie. The technician told me that sections of the ceiling would have to be removed and the ductwork replaced.

    On 11/9/2022, I called your service department and reported that the previous status update was incorrect, and that repairs are needed. I was told that I would receive a new status update within 24 hours. I still have not received any new status update. On 11/15/2022, I submitted an online message to CHW. Didn’t get any response. On 11/16/2022, at 9:53 am, I called your service department again and selected the option for a call back. Never got a call back. On 11/18/2022, I called your service department again and waited for a representative. Scheduled a call from Case Manager for 11/22/2022 at 12:30 pm.

    On 11/22/2022, at 12:57 pm, because I never got a call, I called the Case Manager directly. Was immediately placed on hold. Case manager said I would need to contact the company to see if they do chemical duct cleaning. I told her that I am paying her to figure what needs to be done and get back to me. She called the technician, then told me he said sections of the ceiling would need to be removed and the ductwork replaced, but that CHW won’t cover it because it’s “maintenance”.

    Case Manager was very rude and refused to connect me with her supervisor. When I asked her to spell her name, she rattled it off so fast I couldn’t get it down. When I tried calling back to request a proper email status update, I was immediately placed on hold, and no one ever answered, over 30 minutes. I called again and got through, but the case manager refused to email me a proper status update. This issue remains unresolved. I will most likely be cancelling my contract with CHW, if you don't cover the needed repairs. Please make this right. Thank you.

    We had a dryer issue and submitted a claim. The process has been ok and the people I have dealt with are great. After the repair attempt, it has been determined that the dryer will need to be replaced. We received the amount which is about half of what the actual cost will be to replace, but I did expect that a little, and the amount was not unacceptable. The biggest issue I am having is the time this is all taking. It took about two weeks to get a service tech out, which I get is a problem everywhere. The claim appointment to come to an agreement on the amount took another few days. Now that we have an agreement, we are being told it takes two to three weeks to send out an e-gift card. It is over a month and still no dryer which is becoming an issue and making this process frustrating. This is definitely going to be a factor in the decision to renew the warranty policy in the future.

Problem was addressed and found and was offered a new door opener and purchased one from Winston. The old door was on its way out.     Choice Home Warranty failed to give the plumbing company an order for the water heater, so we have been without hot water for 5 days and will not have it until tomorrow. Choice had approved the replacement, and the plumber scheduled our installation, but the plumber never got an order for the heater from Choice until after they called Choice today. This is terrible business practice. We are extremely disappointed.

    After the technician examined the AC system extensively, he identified one problem and requested approval to proceed. We both got an email asking for more information from the policy holder, me. I answered the email promptly while the tech was still at my house, but he did not receive any further information from CHW. I received a second email from CHW asking for the same information again.     The technician/plumber was knowledgeable but he was sent out to the job site with a 50 foot snake when he needed a 100 foot snake to complete the job. I reported my problem on a Monday, the tech came out on a Wednesday but did not have an adequate snake so he had to make a return trip on Friday. We were without toilets, sinks, washer/dryer, and dishwasher for 5 days. My recommendation is that the plumbing trucks should carry 100 ft snakes to our area due to larger house and property lots.
