It does what I need it to do. It’s easy to clean and replace filters and without a mess when dumping the canister. It’s lightweight and it stores neatly and the cord is long enough to reach in every direction in the same room without replugging. Nice product. I’d recommend it.

I do like my Bissell vacuum, I know other more expensive vacs have more suction, but I do like mine and satisfied by the results. What I would give a five star would be the, bissell steam carpet shampooed. I have two dogs, and this shampooed is the best.

Bissell is a wonderful product. Has lasted me a long time. I own both an electric broom and the rug shampooer. They have served me well. They are trustworthy and dependable. Never had a problem with either of they. Each time I use one of them I can’t help but think how happy I am that I selected the products when I did. I recommended them to a friend who owns a cleaning business. She was skeptical, so I purchased one so she could try it first hand. They happened to be on sale and she liked it so well, that she purchased several so she could give one to each of her employees and to her mother and sister.

I absolutely LOVE my Bissell cordless stick 14.4 V vacuum. It has great pickup and makes vacuuming much quicker than having to use a cord. Battery charge lasts 20-30 minutes and takes about 4 hours to recharge. My main complaint is that the battery will eventually quit taking the charge, so I have to buy a new one. However, it is so good, I am on my 5th one and will probably purchase another when I need another stick vacuum.

Bissell (Healthy Home 15 in wide). ++++. Suction is good. Washable is good. Rolls freely. Attractive. Bulky. I little too heavy for an elder. Easy to disassemble the parts to clean. Look at the HOSE on the back lower right side which also curves under the vacuum. It needs a protective hard cover for support. When it lost its balance, it fell backwards onto the floor which caused the hard flexible hose to crack. I put a bunch of white duct tape on it and it’s working, bit it doesn’t look pretty. It looks injured and the tape is starting to fall off. I hope this helps. I don’t have a carpet in any of my rooms…just wood and a little linoleum.

This machine is very easy to operation and not very heavy; therefore, good for women and child to do all the jobs. I have been this machine for few years after my old one was broken. I choose this one because this one was on sale at Fred Meyer and the brand was good so I pick it. Is stronger enough for my daily using, easy to change the bag, not very noise, except the extend pipe was not long enough because I am not a tall woman.

This vacuum is surprisingly lightweight with all plastic structure. Not nearly as loud as other vacuums I’ve had. Hardly even scares my cat. Works great on level 1 for hardwood, laminate, and tile floor and at these levels, the head was low enough to get under most of my cabinets and vacuums right up to the wall/corner. This vacuum is very easy to carry up and downstairs and can you can carry with one hand. I like the fact that I can tell it is cleaning and do not have to double check the canister is filling or that the beater brush/nozzle is turning. Suction overall seems very good. The head is very low profile and easily gets under our sofa and recliners.
The attachments are all secured to the machine, which is desirable because you are more likely to use them if you don’t have to search for them. It did a terrific job picking up cat hair. I like the little hand-held brush for getting pet hair off the couch. The hose for using the attachments is limited but seems to work well for stairs. You need to bring the machine with you every few steps as the hose is not long enough and you have to be mindful that the vacuum doesn’t tip over. Detaching the canister to empty was a snap. A one-button press to release it from the machine and and then you push another release and it empties the canister into the trash. FANTASTIC! Overall, it seems like a wonderful machine.

I have taken a wet paper towel and wiped the floor after I used my Bissell machine, and the paper towel comes up completely clean! I love this machine! I purchased the Bissell ICON Pet recently due to my current Dyson Vaccum broke. After much researching I liked what this machine state it would do. After I got it home and tried it I was disappointed in the size of the canister. While it vacuumed very well, I have a 3000 sq ft house with a very hairy dog and so I found I had to empty the canister 2-3 times to complete vacuuming. I contacted Bissell to return item and followed instructions to the letter. This is when the issues began.
First I got email stating they received the returned items and I would get another email when funds were returned. I got a 2nd email telling me refund was processed and would take 2-5 business days to get money back. On day 6 I hadn't received anything so I contacted Bissell directly. They looked up my information and told me that everything was processed but I would have to wait another 5-7 business days before my credit on my card would be posted. I asked why the original email stated 2-5 business days for refund and they said that it takes about 2 weeks (business days only) to complete return. Very disappointed as had I known it would take this long to return something I would have never ordered from Bissell. I would have gone directly to a store that sold this product. No where did I see on their site that returns would take this long. Also they only reimburse you for the machine not the shipping.

After reviewing one of Bissell’s flashy ads for the Pro Heat Revolution Pet Pro carpet cleaner that offered extra incentives to order it directly from Bissell instead of from Amazon or any of the big box stores, I sent them an order. I received an immediate confirmation and they took my money immediately. Then they sent me a 10% coupon for my first purchase from Bissell. That’s where the urgency ended.
First off, the 10% off coupon wasn’t valid for the carpet cleaner that I wanted to purchase, even though it was my first purchase from Bissell and will be my last!!! Then I received a tracking notice that my cleaner had shipped and I would receive it on January 23, 2021. On January 25, 2021 I had not received the cleaner so I checked the tracking number and it showed that the cleaner had never left Bissell, so I called Bissell. I was put on hold and then dumped. I called back and got a different so called customer support person that stated that I would be receiving a shipping and tracking notice once the cleaner shipped.
I advised him that I already received a bogus tracking number and the product never left Bissell. He ignored me and stated that I would receive a tracking notice once the cleaner shipped and wished me a happy day and asked if there was anything else he could do for me today. Terrible customer support and now I see that they have an overall satisfaction rating of 1 star out of 5 stars rating on this site!!! I’ll never buy from Bissell again!

We have kept Siberian Husky dogs for over 35 years and as some of you doubtless know, Huskies are 'high maintenance' dogs. With regard to the Northern Breed dogs' unique 'dual-layer' fur (a trait they share with their wolfish ancestors and relatives: long outer 'guard' hairs and fluffy shorter inner layer insulating hairs), they shed copiously almost 360 days a year. And you can count on having to get used to husky hair in, around and on every single thing you own: most of all on your floors and carpets (that 'little black party dress' you are so fond of quickly becomes a 'little furry-gray husky dress', LoL). It is, however, just one of those wonderfully characteristics of Husky dogs that you either love or hate (most husky owners accept this as a small price to pay for the marvelous companionship the breed provides; some even have sweaters woven from their collected husky hair and it does make fantastic sweaters!).
At any rate, 'Love huskies, love dog hair!' is the requisite mantra... up to a point, but when the hair level reaches absurd levels in one's home, having a sturdy, CAPABLE vacuum cleaner is absolutely mandatory for any committed husky owner's home! To that end, we did considerable research, some years back, on the various pet vacuums available for his sort of heavy-duty work.
Finally, after relying on CONSUMER REPORTS' recommendations (in one of their special issues featuring available pet-hair specific vacuum products), we accepted their findings (that rated the Bissell 'Pet-Hair Eraser' model as superior) and purchased one, thinking that vacuuming up the copious quantities of husky hair would no longer be as great a burden as it had been. All the advertising material grandly touted the Bissell 'Pet-Hair Eraser' model as being on par with the Abrahms M1A2 Main Battle Tank, with regard to its pet-hair capabilities and this opinion was also strongly reflected in CONSUMER REPORTS' reviews. What was not to love about it?
Today, after coping with this absolutely abysmal excuse for a pet-hair vacuum for several yearas, our experience had made it more than abundantly clear that CONSUMER REPORTS is no longer to be relied upon for absolutely exhaustive, comprehensive and factual assessments of any kind... lest of all for something like pet-hair specific, 'super-duty' vacuums.
The machine was a problem from the onset, with one of its chief and 'endearing' little quirks being a pronounced tendency to make neat little 'hair-balls' out of husky hair that not only clog the floor roller mechanism but also overheat the motor, causing it to get extremely hot (once it reaches a certain temp, it simply dies until the reset switch kicks in again... A most frustrating nuance that comes with no advance warning: we thought it had simply expired terminally, the first time we experienced this cute trick and took it into an appliance repair, where they actually sniggered knowingly at our perplexed state of frustration!). Over time, we have also had to replace the floor roller's rubber belt numerous times, too, due to snarls and wear caused by the constant hair-balling quirk.
On top of all that, the vacuum has a very limited capacity to contain the hair it does manage to pick up and you're lucky (with huskies, at least) if you can clean a single room before making a mandatory trip out to the dust-bin to empty it. Further, once the holding container is full, hair tends to get wrapped up in the upper-most part of the container, near the rotor, which turns a simple 'emptying' maneuver into a time-consuming exercise in taking the rotor out, as well, for cleaning.
Bottom line? This highly-rated pet-hair specific 'super duty' vacuum is an abysmal failure, from blue-print to retail floor product and we shall never try another Bissell appliance. But more importantly, at that point we determined that the former reliability of CONSUMER REPORTS recommendations was suspect beyond all acceptable credibility and we no longer turn to it for valid, reliable and objective reviews of ANYTHING.
As proof of the miserable nature of the machine, one of our alpha-huskies actually lifted his leg on our Bissell and took a whiz on it, once! Tell me Siberian Huskies aren't extremely smart pups, eh? I suspect they feel that this 'Pet-Hair Eraser' machine was designed by sadistic (short-haired) cats (and so do we!). [But who knows, it may still work well enough for Hairless Basenjis, American hairless Terriers, Chinese Crested Dogs, Aztec Xoloitzcuintlis, Argentinian Pila Dogs or short-hair Chihuahuas!] :) Caveat emptor!

I said, "How is that," and so she says, "We are still within our days." Updated on 10/01/2020: As I write this, it is now Oct 01, 2020. I meant to update my review from April this year... Sorry. 4th Bissell never arrived! I was telling this to a friend and she asked me where I purchased this vacuum. I told her on the Bissell site. She then asked "On your Credit Card?", I said, "No through PayPal." She said, "Good, go on to PP site and the Resolution Center and tell them all you told me, you will at least get part of your money back, maybe more."
Well I did all that and told PP Resolution Center I could back up Everything I said with emails from myself to Bissell and their responses. And I provided my receipt and order number from PP. You then have to tell PP how much you are willing to accept back if Bissell refuses to give it all back. The vacuum cost almost $178 so I said $150. (I know, I should have said $165-$170). Well, about 2 weeks later PP refunded me the $150! I know I lost $28, but at least I got back more than 3 quarters back. They found Bissell in the wrong. So, my advice, pay through PayPal, and if there is a problem, just do what I did, and go, through PP's resolution center. KEEP all emails and receipts from the disputed company so you have back up. And... NEVER BUY FROM BISSELL. THEY ARE A RIP OFF!!
Original Review: This is the third machine and all have been crap! I now have had THREE Bissell Vacuum Cleaners (Multi Reach) and ALL THREE HAVE NOT WORKED and Bissell refuses to give me a refund!! Read my experience below. By recommendation from a friend, I bought a Bissell Vacuum. I researched the "Multi Reach Vacuum," on Bissell's own website and purchased it from their own site on Dec. 26, 2019. The Multi Reach, from description, was what I was looking for. Its dual function where it could be a regular vacuum and a hand held along with accessories, plus it was chargeable which I really liked, not wanting to be tied to a cord and plug while cleaning my hardwood floors.
The FIRST vacuum arrived roughly 5-7 days later. According to instructions, it was supposed to be ready out of the box for about 30 - 45 minutes of usage before needing to be fully charged.... It wasn't. No big deal, so I charged it for around 5 hrs until all 4 lines showing it was fully charged on the machine. I unplugged it from the charger, pushed the power button and... Nothing. Did it again, several times, no power. The 4 lines were showing that it was fully charged. I called Bissell the next day, the customer rep apologized and said another vacuum would be sent (same model), they also said to keep the vacuum that did not work. (?)
So another 5-7 days go by and the SECOND vacuum arrived. Also did not work straight out of box. I charged it and like the first, the power button did not work.... Once! A few days later I went to use it again and no power and it showed 3 bars of power. I charged it 4 bars, just in case. Still power button did not work.
Again I called Bissell, again apologies. I told the Rep this was ridiculous that two machines had the same problem and apparently it is the power switch. This time they emailed a Return Label and told me to send it back by Fed Ex. They wanted to send to their repair dept, to see the problem and once received they would email me within 10 days upon receiving the return. Then Rep said in the mean time they would send a THIRD machine. I said I just want my money back. When he said to give the 3rd machine a chance, I stupidly agreed.... I just wanted to clean my home.
I tracked the Fed Ex return and Bissell received the Second machine within 5 days. I never received an email telling me what the repair dept found. I called them and basically said all this and where was my Third machine? The rep, again apologized and said he was sending the THIRD machine out and said these EXACT words: "I promise you (my name) you will never have that problem again with this machine."
The THIRD Multi Reach Vac arrived 7 days later. This time the battery would not charge. So again never worked! The battery was bad. So both the switch and battery were bad. I then emailed Customer Service, said no more vacuums, I wanted a refund ASAP! After much back and forth Emails telling me the 30 day refund was expired and even said the warranty was expired. I responded it was on a Two Year warranty and that this was the THIRD machine in 3 months that did not work and I haven't even been able to use any of these machines. And, that most of the "30 days" for the refund had been taken up with my have to send back vacuums and waiting to receive replacements.
About 2 days later after last email with Customer Service, a woman called me from "Corporate" and said they had reviewed my case and they were "willing" to give me another machine (which would now be a FOURTH Multi Reach) or give me 30% off another product, but again NO refund because I was beyond the 30 refund policy. I called again today, and saying send me the FOURTH machine. They requested I send back the Third machine. I did today.
So now I am waiting on a FOURTH MACHINE. I realize you are wondering why would I allow another machine? Because I can't get a refund (which makes me incredibly Angry) and I need a vacuum. When the FOURTH Multi Reach Vacuum arrives, I will update this review. (And try not to make it a novel) ;-). But, I will NEVER recommend Bissell, No One should have to go through the hassle as I have. And a company that acknowledges that the machines are bad but still refuse to refund the purchase is as far as I am concerned CHEATS!

This product cost nearly $300, and I had high expectations for a great wet/dry vacuum, which I bought it as a Christmas present for my mother - we both wanted it. The wet function is terrible - it leaves streaks and puddles everywhere. The "cleans itself" function is a joke - it just spins in the little tray and makes a bigger mess everywhere - you definitely have to take it apart every time to clean it, or the smell is horrendous. That wouldn't be a problem if the whole thing worked, but it doesn't.
As for suction, it is really weak. On a wood or tile floor, it just blows debris into another direction before you can even try to vacuum it up. If you try to use it even a very low pile rug, it barely suctions - even after multiple passes. When I called customer service to send it back, they said no, because I was 4 days out of the 30 day money back guarantee. And that was because I bought it before Christmas, and we didn't even open it until after. We used it three times and gave up. Complete waste of money.

I have contacted Bissell about my issues and they told me to take unit apart and clean it...? It didn't help one iota. If I use the machine as intended as an upright vacuum it blows all of the debris away from the unit. Basically, I am chasing the dirt and fur across the floor. The fur and dust and dirt goes airborne and disburses across the room.
To clean my floors I have to use the hose pipe. I detach it from the machine head and crawl on my hands and knees (3,200 sq ft home) making sure the machine head is facing away from what I need to pick up or it blows it away. The hose pipe is about 3 ft long so I drag the machine behind me as I go (it is constantly falling over!). The hose pipe comes detached from the whole unit about every 10 feet and I have to reattach it! I am 57 yrs old and I have permanent damage 30% in both hands from an accident. This machine has been a nightmare! The vacuum head started blowing the dirt away about 6 months after purchase. There is no way to repair it. Bissell has no interest in making it right. It's bad enough when an appliance breaks at 6 months but it's even worse when you get the runaround from the company about the warranty. I purchased this vacuum last March because of the reviews. It worked well until the red foot pedal that turns it on and off fell off last week. It's a plastic part and because we hate waste, tried to superglue the cracked piece together. It didn't hold so my husband called Bissell and we were directed to take the vacuum to a repair shop located about 15 miles away. Good thing he decided to call ahead of time to see if they had the part. He was informed that the shop no longer services Bissell. Somehow, Bissell didn't know that.
He was referred to another repair store but this one was over an hour away and only open Monday - Friday 8-5. They didn't carry the part, either, and said he'd have to bring it, leave it and then they'd order it and we'd get it back when they received the part. Seriously?! Husband called Bissell back asking that they just send us the part. After being put on hold the rep said we'd get an email with information on how they'd send us a new vacuum. We really didn't want a new vacuum but figured they'd just fix it and resell as used. Nope, the grammatically challenged email said we needed to cut off the cord, send it in an envelope they're going to mail us and when they receive the cord they'd send a replacement vacuum.
So, for a part that probably costs a buck (or maybe $2 with the tariffs) they want us to destroy a working machine to place in the trash. Plus we have to wait for them to get around to sending us another vacuum. I'm not confident a new one will last much longer than the first one. Am debating whether to follow their directions or just buy from a different company who is more environmentally conscientious.

I had another vacuum(not Bissell) I used, but wanted another as a backup, because the regular vac was on its last leg. I used the Bissell here and there. My regular vac recently died so the Bissell is it now. The selling points for me were the no reach in dust cup and no tangle roller. I've had to reach into the dust cup every time I've emptied it and now I have debris wrapped around the brush roll. It sucks ok on hard floors but have had better jobs with other vacs in the past. The tools that fit the wand aren't designed for the best cleaning. The advantages of the vacuum have nothing to do with the suction or the tools. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Nothing was caught in it neither no hair or carpet. Bissell used to be a good company, they would not even warranty it. All I got was a no English speaking person from India on the phone. I will not buy another Bissell product ever.

I've used Bissell for years. It works as well as the more expensive brands, in my opinion. Have two for homes with pets, one for my living room rug and one for bare floors. The amount of dirt and hair picked up by both is what I need. The bare floor vacuum literally pulls the dirt out of the floor seams. I have COPD and the ease of using these vacuums allows me to do my own housework. Lightweight, easy to use and dependable. The only thing I would improve on is the cleaning process and the filters.

My household required a new model. My choice was between the newest Bissell or the Shark. But after using the Bissell a few times, I can honestly say, I wish I had chosen the Shark. The Bissell works well enough. While the non-brush brush does not get clogged with the dog hair, the collection vessel does not have a good capacity. The filters are secured in the basket and are a pain to keep clean. If one does not keep stopping and clean, the motor shuts down. The Dyson is another let down, one pays for the name. To pay over $400 for an inferior product is nonsensical. The Shark vacuum is true to its hype. It never loses suction and is much easier to clean. The newest model has changed the front roller from the standard brush to a static fling roller so there no more getting on the floor to pull unwanted dust & pet hair out from it, and the canister can be released from the base to tackle the stairs or other jobs out of reach.

The main design benefit is that along with the usual features like bagless, easy to clean internal parts, quick change filters, etc etc. The outlet blower is on the side of the machine not at the front like the useless Dyson we had so it does not blow all the dust and dog hairs under the furniture where you cannot retrieve it but away from the walls so it is easy to pick up on the next pass. I bought a Bissell vacuum 9 months ago and it has lost suction four times already, we have completely taken apart and cleaned out the vacuum many times and fixed it on our own. However this time, we were unable to fix it and get it to suction properly. This already is concerning as this was a heavy duty vacuum meant for pet hair and cost me almost $200, yet it isn’t very durable at all. I bought a 2 year protection plan from Walmart so I called them first, they told me that Walmart didn’t inform me correctly, I have a 1 year warranty through Bissell themselves and then Walmart warranty covers the two years after that. That being said, they transferred me to Bissell.
After explaining to the manufacturer how unhappy I was, they told me the only thing they can offer me is to send me over an hour away to their closest repair shop and see if it can be fixed. I told them I wouldn’t be able to make it anytime soon, in fact it could take me 1,2 or even 3 months to make it over to the shop because of my current situation. They did not care. I asked if there was any other options for me and they said No. That was it, they left me with a broken vacuum and offered no help. I called Walmart back and told them Bissell refused to give me a reasonable option and Walmart took it upon themselves to fully refund my vacuum and fix Bissell a mistake. Walmart did not have to do that and wasn’t the ones responsible but handled my situation with great care. I will never buy Bissell again!

I have had an upright Clearview Bissell vacuum for 9 years since 2010 and I have had no complaints. I decided I was way overdue with replacing the filters. Ordering the replacement parts has been one of the worst experiences I have had with online ordering. First the order would not take my 15% off coupon code - so that necessitated a phone to the order desk to ask the advice of customer service. She was totally uninformed. I had to tell the girl how to do the order for me! Almost 20 minutes later to order 4 parts! The girl was a total nightmare! It appears they have a script for everyone that calls and they just fill in the blank with your name.
Last week the order arrived with only 2 replacement parts - ** No mention of parts to follow at a later date. So here I am again on the phone with customer service. Another person who has a script to read over the phone with every phone call and a guy who doesn't know a heck of a lot either. I am pretty sure these people whom I am talking to, are not from anywhere in North America.
I have been told by this same guy on two separate occasions, that my parcel is in transit. Today I demanded a refund and I was told refunds take 4 to 6 weeks!! Give me a break. I told him I will never be buying a Bissell again. I hung up on him without a further word. I was just too angry to continue. It wasn’t the best vacuum I’ve had. It didn’t fully pick up until a few go overs, but I’m not that picky. However recently, at around the 11 month of use, it started making this high pitch noise along with excess air blowing at the bottom. Which then proceeded not to do its job anymore. 11 months and this vacuum has basically failed. I’ve had other vacuums for longer doing the job and honestly I’m very disappointed. I sent in a replacement card in case anything happens. So we will see how well they take care of this matter. Hoping they will send a better vacuum and take this one back. I bought this Bissell Little Green ProHeat during the end of August '18. It is now November '18. This machine is HORRIBLE. I do not understand how people are giving good reviews. First, the machine is great for the first use, after that it quickly goes downhill. The machine is impossible to clean, I have tried everything but there is no way to clean out the dirty water tank without the dirt building up all over the tank. I have two young children, so the floors are never that bad to begin with. Right after cleaning the floors I pour in hot water and rinse it out the best I can. It does not matter. Now when I turn on the machine it smells horrid. The hose (the connector piece that is sucks/sprays water) is easily clogged. It collects piece on the side of it and that as well does not come out easily.
Now the machine barely sprays or sucks the water up. I was really excited for this machine and was really hoping it would have lasted us a few years. But Bissell does NOT care. They will only offer to look at it or offer a coupon to buy a new one. The problem is the machine though, so even if they "fix it" these problems will reoccur over and over again. All I wanted was for the company to support their customers and stand behind their products and offer an exchange, which they would get this disgrace of a carpet cleaner back. There is a THIRTY day return policy so make sure as soon as you see a problem, RETURN it! Save your sanity. Bissell does not care.

The filtering part of the vacuum is a real joke. I have to take the canister which holds the dirt out, empty the dirt and set it aside. Next, I have to remove the bottom canister which holds the filter if that's what you want to call it. The advertised "top quality" filter consists of an accordion mesh held together by plastic pieces and a cheap sponge like filter that I have to clean under a tap. The filth that comes out of it is sickening. My apartment is only 600 square feet. It is not all carpeted. It was the same where I used to live as well.

The Bissell is a very inexpensive vacuum but you pay for what you get. The earlier version worked very well but the latest ones have been subpar. You shouldn't have to spend a lot of money to get a decent vacuum cleaner. The fancy BIG Name ones cost a lot and really don't function as well as they say.

My Bissell cleanview multi cyclone picks up the most dog hair of any vac I ever owned. It also removes dirt that no other vac has removed. My carpeting is cleaner than ever.

The model I have was top of the line when purchased, has removable lift off module that works great, has great suction, cleans up easily and provided great value for the price.

It's a small but very powerful vacuum cleaner, very nicely designed and built! The attachments enable hard floor surface cleaning as well as reaching cracks and crevices - it just sucks it all effortlessly! The bagless construction lets one avoid the need for bag searching. In short - I LOVE IT!
