I liked the design of their tub, which had a lower step and their warranty seemed appealing. My interaction with the Boca salesperson was very positive. He was personable and considerate of our needs, making the experience pleasant. The installation team was young but nice; I didn't experience any issues with them. The quality of the work they did was good.
The tub is primarily for my father, who has moved in with me. It makes me feel that he's safer now as he can be more independent while bathing. My favorite feature of the tub is the extra support it provides. It offers more substance for him to grab onto, which is reassuring in our small bathroom. Though he uses it mostly as a shower due to concerns about water usage, it still makes him feel secure because he can get in and out easily.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with Boca, and I would rate my overall experience with them a five out of five. As for Boca's website, it was easy to use. I would like it to have been cheaper, though. In terms of customer service, I'd rate it a four because the initial communication could have been more responsive.

I must say I was so nervous about this transaction. I contacted BOCA directly. My bathroom is from the 60s. Everything was done over the phone. But they came through with flying colors. Not only did I get a better walk-in tub, than what their competitors offered, it was $10,000 less.
Thank you very much, Gail. We hope you enjoy your new tub. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything.

I am VERY glad that we now have a way for my husband to have a bath. It was good that we could get the features we wanted, and at a better price than other companies had. He likes both the Micro and Water options. I do not like the noisy operation of the Micro option. Bob does not like the fact that, when he uses body wash and shampoo, the foam comes back toward him, no matter how much he pushes it away. I have used the tub only twice, but appreciate that I can do a fast hair wash in it. The spray is helpful not only for hair washing but to rinse out the tub after use.

This is my second tub I've purchased from them and am getting ready to purchase a third one. (Purchased due to moves but I wouldn't consider any other walk-in tub.) They even put on in my home in Las Vegas.

After months of reviewing walk in tubs I discovered Boca Tubs. This is a Georgia company that makes the custom tubs in Woodstock. Anna of Boca tubs came to my home and discussed all the aspects of walk in tubs. I was extremely impressed with the materials used and the custom size I wanted. Anna understood that I wanted a very deep soaking tub that was considerably longer and wider that others on the market. I am so happy with my Boca tub and I encourage everyone thinking of having one in their home to give Boca a call. The cost was far less that I expected and the quality is superior. What a great company filled with knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly people.

I have had the walk-in-tub for about a year and a half, and I am very pleased with it. After the original installation, they returned to address a door seal issue and water overflow from the flat surface behind the controls. Following the first return of the installers, I noticed that the surround wall material had come loose from the back wall. BOCA scheduled a visit twice. The first one had to be rescheduled, and the second one went as planned. Very professional and courteous and kept me informed at all times.

I got three estimates whenever we were in the market for a tub, and in those three estimates, I like the Boca best. I also like the salesman, the way they did things and the way the tub was produced. Boca is wonderful to work with and they have a quality product. They called to make sure that everything was gonna happen when it should. The company that manufactured it was going to drop it off. It comes in a big box and it wouldn't have been good for my family 'cause my daughter had broken her leg. We didn't have the room for them to put the tub in, even in our garage. I called the sales people and told them what the manufacturer said. They called them and got it squared away.
The day they came for the installation, there were three people. They worked all day till 6 o'clock that night. It was tough because we had one of those convex corner showers and it was a mess. They took that out then started rebuilding the wall there. They put in a short wall to sit the tub in perfectly so that it didn't have a lot of empty space. They made the bathroom look wonderful when they got done. They even put in the shower curtain for me and grab bars. We love the tub. It helps with our aches and pains a whole lot. It also promotes healing and shedding of skin. We got a heated seat and we love that as well. The tub has air and water bubbles, and that's perfect for us. It's 27 jets all together. We also got a shower with individually held shower spray. We had to get a new hot water heater though. We thought our old one would be fine, but it wasn't. We got a 55-gallon tank instead of a 40 and that works perfectly for us because it fills up the tub.

The tub is good, but when you turn the jets on, the water splashes outside the tub. I wish I had a splash guard. If I could find a way to keep the water from splashing outside the tub, that would be great. This is the only issue I had with the tub.

Everything about the tub is just great. Including the installation. There are also so many extras. I have a few but there are so many more to choose from. Also with the install you get two safety bars and a cushion for the seat and a pillow for your head. And it is all made in America with all parts from here also;

Our experience was “white glove/first class” from the moment we stopped by the showroom, to the in home consultation, to the email and voice mail communications to the under 5 hour install and the responsiveness in resolving a tiny configuration issue. There are so many great things about Boca Tubs. First you can go to the factory and see how the tub is made. Anna was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions. The in home visit was great. She came to our home and measured and discussed how the tub would be installed. The tub is beautiful. I especially like the Bluetooth speaker, aroma therapy and the micro features. The air and water massage jets are amazing. The installation went great. I got this tub because I saw how my elderly father struggled with daily hygiene and how a fear of falling in the shower made it a struggle, but this tub is so amazing. I use it more than I thought I ever would. It is truly a pleasure. BocaTubs should partner with new home builders and provide this as an upgrade option. It is totally worth it.

As a result of knee replacement surgery on both knees, I am unable to get in and out of a normal tub unassisted. I truly missed the opportunity to lean back and enjoy a nice hot soak in a tub, so I started considering a walk-in tub. I checked with several companies and much to my dismay, the only way I could get any answer about costs was by making an appointment for a salesperson to come to my home. I set an appointment, was given quotes in the double-digit thousands, and all would have to ship to be installed. I preferred a local company, one willing to quote charges over the phone, one that offered a reasonable price, and even more important-one that I could request only what I needed and could afford!
I was blessed to have found BOCA, located in Woodstock, Ga., and had the most wonderful representative that was willing to listen to my needs and work with me to only charge for the items I wanted included in my purchase. Anna ** is extremely knowledgeable about the products, what is involved in the construction, how to guide you to make good decisions, and is polite, respectful, friendly, and an absolute joy to deal with! Everyone that I have dealt with from the receptionist, sales representatives, installers, and service technician are all extremely reliable, friendly, and caring for you as a consumer. I can highly recommend this company and all its employees without a second's hesitation!

After having bids from the three most recognizable manufacturers I contacted Boca. I’m so glad I did. The tub has a lower entry. The installation was quick and great. And Anna the sales person was perfect. She made sure everything went smoothly. And the price was significantly lower ($thousands) than the others. We have had ours going on two years and my 76 year old wife still loves it. Exceptional product and exceptional people to work with. A perfect solution for seniors who have trouble standing or getting in and out of a tub safely. Couldn’t be more pleased.

First, the fact that they're a small, family-owned business here in the states is a huge plus. All my communications were with the same VERY helpful person. Boca was a fraction of the cost of the ones you see advertised in the papers - we got several quotes before we decided to take a chance with Boca. They had a local installer come out and he knocked the whole thing out in a day, including removing the old tub and shower doors, plumbing and installing the new tub, and ensuring there weren't any leaks. It works great, dad's been using it for well over a year now and we'd absolutely use Boca again if he ever moves.

When I called Boca, I talked with a sweet lady and she gave me a range while the other companies wouldn't give me the price. Boca's pricing was good, but she was the clinch. Everybody also seems to be helpful and they answer your questions. The installation was quick. It was done in a day. I was happy with the father and son team. They came back because I decided I wanted the shower. My husband loves it. He showers all the time. The only problem is the bathroom door won't stay open. We have to put a stopper.

Boca sent a person out and made a presentation. It was very professional. They explained all the pluses and they were able to identify where we could put it without any real problems. I got the walk-in tub and the installation took a little over three days. The shower worked exactly as described. Using it is a fairly simple operation. The installer was very explicit in how it could be done and we did our water heater so it could do a little hotter than what it was already preset to do. My first time in the tub was a very good experience and I use it probably twice a week. My favorites are both the air and the bubbles. The walk-in tub was a very good investment for what we wanted. The quality of the product and the presentation were excellent. The only negative I've run into is when I wanted to call to check on some issues, I didn't get a callback. We misplaced our bill and so I wanted it replaced and I've never gotten it replaced.

I had Boca come out and give me a quote. The sales rep was thorough. He explained what they were gonna do. The installation went well. The only thing is that I didn't get everything. I was missing the shower sliding bar. Two people came out and did the installation, and it took one day. As far as the actual tub, I got the air jets, and I have used them. It has the lighting and the aromatherapy. It's very nice. I like that I can just walk in. It's not high. I think that's the best feature. I feel safe in it. I can sit or stand. And even if I was to slip, I'm not gonna go very far. I'm gonna end up sitting. Overall, I like the product. It's very good.

I was very pleased with the rep's presentation and the information he provided to us. He and his son installed the tub and they did it all in one day. We were satisfied with everything they did and their clean-up. We had another company come out with a similar type of tub and by comparison, the Boca tub was a much better deal.

Boca's rep was more of a consultant than he was a salesperson. We liked the guy. He put together what we felt was a good deal. Boca was $4,000 less than Easy Step. The day the installer showed up, they were here the whole day and cleaned up after themselves. Other than the fact that our bathroom changed in appearance from the time they got there in the morning to the time they left at night, because of the tub being taken out and the Easy Step being put in, we didn't even know that they were here. If they were doing work other than that and I needed other work done in the house, I'd have them come and do that as well.
The tub has microbubbles. That's good from a cleansing standpoint. And it has the light therapy. I wish it was in a different spot than where it is because when I'm sitting in there, my knee covers up the light and I don't get a chance to see the light. And we have the shower head and like the idea that it has a thermostatically-controlled lever on it so that you don't get too hot of water in there. Also, it fills up and drains out quickly.
The heated seat could be better because it doesn't seem to put off that much heat even if we go in there 15 minutes before we would use it and turn it on. It's a good 20 minutes after we were out of it, would it turn itself on to blow the water out of the lines we would not have any water staining in the lines. The first time that I used it, it was like a slice of heaven. I enjoyed it. So it wasn't just for luxury, it was actually for us, especially for me. It was medically needed because I got to the point I couldn't stand in the shower anymore and I was not able to get into the bathtub.

I had talked to several companies and most of them started out at $32,000. I said, "I'm not paying that for a bathtub." So, I kept calling other people, and all of them went down some, but Boca went down the most. Also, they had extra features and they said it's a lifetime warranty, that if anything went wrong, all I do is call and somebody will fix it. I had a little bit of a complaint. It wasn't major but when you're paying $14,000 for a tub, there shouldn't be any bumps on it. There is one little place with some stuff chipped off. Boca was good about listening. But then, instead of somebody coming and fixing it, they sent some stuff for me to fix it. I paid $14,000 for the tub. I shouldn't have to fix jack. So, I wasn't happy about that.
I do enjoy the tub. It does help me. It's nice that I can sit there and I can wash my hair and soak my legs but I need to be able to lay down in there or at least part way. I can't get the water up high enough. If you do slump down, you're not comfortable, and then you got a hard time trying to sit back up. You really can't submerge your body down in there. I understand that the thing your tub is for you to be able to do that on and off or be able to sit in there safely, but I didn't think about that and I was just thinking that I could lay down in it. But in using it, I would want something that I could have the option of reclining in. Most of the water is up to your knees. The remaining water that you get doesn't come up very far. Other than that, it is safe. It is nice to be able to sit and relax in there and take my bath. I just truly miss not being able to submerse.
It's always nice on my legs and if I run the water as high as I can get it, it will do the lower part of my back, but I can't do that where my main issue is on my neck and across my shoulders. The only thing I could do is turn on the water from the little sprayer thing and run it on that, which is not the same. I can't have the jets. So, I was like, "Ugh. Why didn't I think of any of this when I was talking to the man?" What would be nice is if the seat sat down a little bit lower but not too low though because a lot of people have a hard time getting back up after they get older. But it would be good if it could sit down a little bit lower, and then it had some mechanism that it could recline so that you could get the lower part, your shoulders, and your neck while you're in that tub.
As far as the guys who came out to do the installation, they were quick and they did a good job. They were polite and efficient. I wish they called me in before they started because it's one thing in your head and on a picture to look at it. It's another thing when they get it in here and you haven't been in here to see. The first way they were gonna put it in would have taken up more of my bathroom. I have a large bathroom. I got windows so I wanted to be able to see outside. Then, it took up a whole lot of space turned the other way, but they had already started cutting on my tile. They already cut a space before they called me in here to look which should have been done before they cut because I would have said, "No," and, "Turn it around."
They did turn it around, but then I had a place on my tile and also on my wall, and I have wallpaper. So right now, what I did was put a picture there because I would have somebody professionally do it. I would still recommend Boca to people but I would also point out what happened with me. The tub is definitely a help. I'm in good condition for my age so I really would have liked the feature of the seat reclining because my main trouble is my neck and my shoulders more than anything else. I would want that feature in there and I would look for more of that.

The sales rep let us go to the plant where they manufacture the tubs and let my wife try it and get in one at the facility. They even had some other manufacturers that we could compare with. It helped us a lot as far as making a decision and then, we talked to one other salesperson from another walk-in tub. They were both informative but the Boca rep gave us the two-inch or less step up and at least a four-inch step up to get into the tub. So that was one of the things that influenced our decision. The installation team was great. They were very friendly and nice, and came when they said they would come.
The tub was leaking so we called the company where we bought the Boca tub from. The person we spoke with didn’t fully understand what exactly we were trying to explain to her but she took care of it and contacted people. The installation people looked and filled up the tub and did an analysis. They found out that either a washer or a bushing in the handle of the shower had a hole and it was defective. The installation was absolutely unbelievably good. It was the first repair people I ever had in my home that said that they would be here at a certain time and they would be done in a certain time. I was totally, totally, totally impressed with them. My wife liked the therapeutic part of the tub. I use it sometimes twice a day. I really like it because it's got that rain shower and then also had the adjustable hand. I had cataract surgery and I couldn't get any water in the eye for five days. So I was able to adjust the handheld sprayer to where it didn't spray on my face. It's easy to get in and out of the tub. You don't have to wait for the water to go out. It fills up and goes out quickly. When I had problems with one handle, I called Bob, whose name was given to me and he got right back with me and we got it resolved. At 87, I am much more comfortable with that than I could have ever been with a standard tub that's in the other bathroom. The price was high but I could afford it. Boca was not cheaper but they provided service. The other people that I talked to didn't wanna come out here to give me the service. Overall though, I have no complaints with the tub quality and the installation. Plus, my husband is benefiting from the micro bubbler.
Boca Walk-in Tubs is excellent, and if they ever needed it, I have no problem giving them an outstanding reference to anybody that needs it. I called Boca and they're in Atlanta, Georgia. They said it would take four to five weeks for the walk-in tub. I said I needed one right then. They had one in the warehouse. We went back and forth, picking out your colors and all that different stuff. They have a local installation guy and I had him do the work. I couldn't be happier. He came one day and was finished the next day. He got the whole tub here by himself. He removed the old tub and took that away. He then had to drill into cement. He had to transfer where the shower is from one side to the other side because you have the door on the tub. He did a little more work in those two days. He's used to dealing with the elderly. I was putting in a new toilet and I got a bidet. He did that too.
Always have Boca's installer. Even though they're all the way in Atlanta, they have installers throughout. My local contractor was gonna charge me $7,000 to install the tub. The Boca rep sent me the invoice and it said the installation was not being done. I said, “Oh, no, no. I want your guy.” That's all he does so he knows what he's doing. The installation then was only $2,500 versus $7,000. The only difference was the other would have had a whole team. That's a different type of contract, which would have been silly. It wouldn't have gotten done any faster. My bathroom is not that big.
Boca did great. I asked for a subway tile but I didn't get that when the tub was installed. It is just plain. Boca offered to send out the subway tile at their cost but I refused and told them to just give me a little compensation, which they did. I got a discount because of their boo-boo and it saved my pocket. I was happy with the boo-boo. I like the tub. It comes with a shower. I got the micro therapy, the heated seat, and the heated back. This tub is my spa now and it's very relaxing. The tub is self-cleaning and that scared me for a second. 20 minutes after you use the tub, it cleans itself. Nobody mentioned that. It sounds like there are 10 hissing cats in your bathroom. It blows out its jets too. It lasted maybe three minutes.

We dealt with Anna at Boca Walk-In Tubs when we bought our tub and she helped us with everything. We emailed her with questions and wanted some quotes, then she emailed everything back to us. And whenever we had questions and called she would answer the phone and give us the answers. The installation was pretty good, too. They shipped me the tub then I installed it. The instructions were self-explanatory and it was easy to work with their products once I got it figured out. It took me a few minutes to finish and even though I installed it myself, they still said it has a lifetime warranty.
So far, my wife loves the tub. She uses it all the time and when she gets out, she says, “Well, at least I'm warm and I'm not freezing.” Because she keeps it at 96 to 101 degrees temperature in the water. Boca's website was also good. It was simple and easy to use. When I had an installation question, I went to their website where they had one of those tutorials. It was a four-minute video and it helped me understand what they were talking about.

The customer service of Boca was really good. They answered all our questions. We had read on their website that they manufacture these things themselves. You also have an opportunity to buy the Boca Tub and then hire someone else to install it, or they have, in larger cities, people that they contract themselves to install it. It's been they have contractors who have installed many Boca tubs and are experienced at it. We chose to go that route. Not only did we buy our Boca tub through Boca, but we also bought the labor to install it through one of their contractors. We didn't need to go out and hire a separate contractor. That, for me, was a big plus.
Not only that, but the contractor came out in advance to tell us about it and what he was gonna do. He needed to connect electricity for the water jets to run and he was able to do that himself. Whereas if we hired our own contractor, we would have to hire an electrician as well as an installer. He was also quite familiar with the tub, told us a lot more about it and what he was gonna do before we bought it. It took a month before we got the tub. When we got it, we had it sent to the installer so we didn't have to keep this in our garage or somewhere on our property. The installer brought it with him and installed it in one day.

The salesman with Boca earned our trust. He was very detailed. We also like the timeliness of getting the tub and getting it in. They did a good job. The tub was a little pricier than I had anticipated but with discounts, it wasn't too bad. I bought it because my mother lives with us. She's 91 years old and got dementia. She also has two artificial hips which limit her mobility to lift a leg up over the seven-inch high tub that I had previously. It was a real struggle for her to get in and out of the tub. She couldn't sit in the tub too. I had a chair inside the tub for her to sit in. It was not the best situation in the world.
The Boca tub is a nice tub. It suits the purpose. The only issue I have right now is with trying to keep my mother from turning the dials. She has twice now turned the water on in the middle of the night in that tub. I came in and found the water running. The first time, I don't think it had been on very long. But this time, it must have been on a little longer because the room filled with steam, the whole mirror was cloudy, and the counter, the toilet seat and the floor was wet from steam, not from water. I called this morning to the manufacturers and see if they have a workaround for that. I bought it for safety, and that's gonna make it very unsafe if the floor gets soaking wet. She can reach in there and turn them on. I need to know if there's some adult-proof where I physically have to remove something in order to turn it on. It would be a very good feature to have on the tub.

Other than that, we've not had any problems with the tub, and we've already told people we love Boca. My husband loves the tub. Boca said someone could come out and kind of explain things to me and show me different things. The guy who came was very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions. When I was like, "I need you to explain this and everything." He was very good. It was simple. A kid could have understood. He used an iPad. So, all I had to do is connect him to my Wi-Fi because we have a big TV where we were. He was able to put the demonstration on the television, which was great for my mother. I was trying to huddle around him and look at his iPad. He was showing us the different things the tub can do. I was really impressed with that.
The installers were excellent. I've never in my life met people who were so professional, but personal. They were from Minnesota. I'm in Chicago. Evidently, it's like a family-owned business that install these tubs. They called like a couple of days before, the day before, and told me what time they would be here with the tub. They said even though the father and son were delivering it, the son and his wife were going to be installing it. They were there a little short of the time that they said they were going to be there, which was great. They cleaned up wonderfully behind themselves. They did an excellent job.
The tub was built based on what I said I wanted. They said it would probably be around six weeks. It may have been seven or eight because I called and checked if they hadn't heard me right. Everybody was like, "Let us call them because it has been six weeks." That was fine. I did have an issue with the tub, and the people that installed this said, "If you have any issues, this is our card. You can call us. We'll come." They explained to me that they’ll come to Chicago. They may have two installs and maybe a repair. They said, "We're not gonna tell you a week. Like it won't take us that long, but we may not be able to come that day or the next day because we may have something scheduled like somewhere else. And we can't get there.” I was like, "Okay. Fine." I called and let them know. They came not the next day, but the day after that and they fixed the problem.
Overall, the walk-in is wonderful. My mom and my sister love it. My sister said, "We're gonna need to schedule who's turn is it to get in the tub." The tub is beautiful. The one I got was what Boca kind of advertises. I looked them up afterwards and saw that they have the lowest step in. It's about an inch to step in my tub, which I love. That's great for my mom. If you trip, you're just super clumsy. I was extremely pleased.

They were nice people and they kept cleaning up as they did things.
I really like my walk-in bath. The only thing I don't like is the shower. It's such a reduced flow and there isn't enough water coming to the showerhead. I'm tempted to replace the showerhead. Also, they furnished seats for the unit but the seat covers didn't fit the seats. They stuck out about two inches in front so it did not feel secure for me. The headrest doesn't work because there isn't enough room on either side for the headrest to sit because the seat is narrow. You can't slide forward at all. That asidem Boca was really good at putting in the unit and I appreciated that.

So many of the other tubs had a four to five-inch step to get in but the Boca tub only had an inch and a half or two and I liked that. Also, I liked the options that it had, as far as jets and water, and that it drained quickly. The people that came out and installed the tub were absolutely amazing. They tore the old tub out and installed the new tub flawlessly. They did beautiful work and they were done in a couple hours. They were very cordial and hospitable. I was very impressed and the tub looks great.
The tub I got has the heated seat and the aroma therapy oil. It has a little thermostat installed inside where I can see what the water temperature is. There's only one downfall to the tub and it's the amount of time it takes to fill. We're looking at see if we can install something in our home that would increase the water flow because it takes probably about 20 minutes to fill the tub. Other than that, it's amazing and I love it. The safety for my elderly mother is very comforting and my whole family enjoys it. I flaunt it to everybody.
Boca's biggest claim to fame is our lowest-in-the-industry step threshold for all of our tubs. Our unique tub design integrates an internal frame into the tub instead of resting a tub on top of or inside an external frame built up from the floor. The internal frame minimizes the tub profile and maximizes internal tub space. Most importantly, the design allows Boca tubs to install directly onto the subfloor, keeping the effort and mobility needed to enter or exit the tub at an absolute minimum.

After I had done a little research, I was convinced that even though Boca Walk-in Tubs was in Georgia and there weren't any service departments around here, that they would be very responsive to any problems I might have. Since that time, when the tub was installed, I had a conversation with the installers and learned that they are very giving to the retired vet community. We are sorry to hear that you aren't having the experience you had hoped for. All Boca tubs come with an ADA-standard seat that is 18 inches in height. We realize that - depending on the model of tub you purchased - that may not provide for as deep a soak as you had hoped for. While we are unable to adjust the height of your seat, perhaps we can help with your overflow/splashing issue. We can install splash guards that will help deflect water back into your tub. Please contact us if you would like to hear more about the splash guards and we will expedite our service to help you.

They had an installation with a disabled veteran. December rolled around and they said they couldn't find my tub. Then, they said my tub was in Philadelphia. It’s not that it's huge. Then they had shipping problems and I understand that.
Then, when they went to install the tub, we were told they had to remove a portion of the doorway to get into the bathroom and it turned out they had to take the doorway down to the frame to get into the bathroom. They couldn't get into it easily. Also, they were told they didn't have to remove the toilet and they had to remove the toilet. We also had some wall damage to the hallway wall and Mike said the company would give us reimbursement for that. Our painter gave them an estimate of $375 to fix it. We had to keep reminding Mike about it and we finally got the check last week after we called him several times. It was aggravating. It was one thing after another. The only saving grace is that I like the tub. Also, I had no problem with the installer. He was a wonderful and hardworking kid.

It's very expensive here, but when I do it that way, it relaxes me. I have one issue though. When I get out of the tub, the tub is empty, but the bubble or the water comes on on its own. I have to try and turn it off, but sometimes I can't get it off, so I have to go around and hit the reset. It was weird, and it's happened several times since I've had it. Apart from that, I like all of the features of our Boca tub and we have been telling people about it. We have not had a bad experience with our tub, and we're very pleased.

When my Boca tub was first installed, I had some problems. One of the fittings wasn't tight and it flooded underneath the house. The installers were good people. I was just really surprised that that one fitting came loose. It was a man and his wife. They work really hard while they were here and he actually put in a water heater for me as well. I paid him separately for it, but my water heater was not big enough for the tub, so he had to put a new water heater in for me.
As far as the tub, it's kind of small but I do like that I have so much control over the water volume. I can turn the shower up and down as I need to. That's a lot easier than using a regular shower. It's good quality. I make sure that I get it wiped down all the time to make sure it stays clean. The installers just had to take quite a bit of my floor out. So, I had to get under the floor and put some more posts to hold my floor up. It was an inconvenience, but I guess it was needed or he wouldn't have taken out that much of the flooring. I have an older house, so I had regular boards.
Also, the seat is square and if you want to lay down far enough to get your shoulders under the water in the tub, that thing hits you right in the middle of your back. They need to round that thing off some. I can get down and get my shoulders underwater so the bubbles will get to me, but it is hard on the center of my back and it would be a lot easier if it cut off a little of the front of that thing and round it off better.

The installer arrived on a Friday night about 7:00 and rather than waiting the next day because his schedule was so tight, he proceeded to install the walk-in tub. I had to help him carry it up the stairs. Afterwards, I found out that I had two torn tendons, which didn't happen then, but it was rather painful carrying it up the stairs. His wife weighed about 75 pounds soaking wet, so she wasn’t helping him carry it up the stairs. Then, we had to turn it around, flip it over to get it through narrow doorways and turns at the top of the stairs. I was texting Boca for a while into November but then I had surgery so I couldn't go back out to my kids' house for it to be installed. I haven't called up to schedule though I did a follow-up.
The tub can be used. It’s just the front panel that attaches. The screw holes were a little forced so, I wanted to make sure I was there when the next one gets installed rather than my kids. It's something that has to be planned and it was a big investment. They're very happy with the tub, but we still need that front panel replaced.

Bathing Safety works good and we like all of its features. My wife and I both used it so far, so it's what we expected. It offered certain things that the other companies didn't have. The rep we spoke with was a nice guy. The installers were great too and we had a couple of good laughs with them. They showed us how everything worked, but we had a major problem. One of the buttons for the heating of the seat didn't work so we had to call on it. They said they were gonna send me another one that I could have replaced myself. It was a good thing that that didn't happen because they said they were sending somebody else out when I called.
A guy came in with another guy. We thought it was just a button thing, and the guy went to change that but apparently, it wasn't. It was the mechanism that was attached to it. It was like a transformer that was underneath. They had to take the front panels apart again, take it out and replace it, put a new button in and rewire the whole thing and it was fine after that. It seems like even in itself that it hooks up to wasn't working. I guess maybe it was a manufacturer's defect or something.
The only thing I'm gonna have to question on is about the payment thing. They gave us five months of deferred payments. I calculated the five months and paid that in full. Then I did the same thing with the second payment I just made. So, by the time the five months are up, I figured if I make this payment the same five months all the way across the board, I'll have a good part of it paid off. I'll have to find out if they made changes on the payments because of the way I'm paying it. They say I can pay $100 and something, I figured by the time I pay that, it's gonna be the six months. Forget about it, I'll only be paying $500. I want to try to do it that way as I want to try to knock the payments down as fast as I can.
I also had a couple of ideas that might shorten up the time of installing and I made a suggestion to both crews that were here, but I don't know if they'll pass it on to anybody. There's gotta be easier ways to do things sometimes to save time and money. It's up to the company if they want to call me and I could explain it to them better. Overall, I would recommend Bathing Safety to others.

I have a 97-year-old mother and she can't get into our other tub. There were a couple of other tub companies that I talked to before I called Boca. When I did, I really like Anna, the rep whom I talked to. It was really a pleasure dealing with her. She seemed really down-to-earth while the others seemed like real salespeople. She was really helpful and so non-pushy. Also, if she said she was gonna call a certain time, she called at that time.
The installation team was a husband and wife combo. They were really cool and they seemed to do a very good job. They did everything they said they were going to do and cleaned up very well. My mom really loves the Bathing Safety tub. She can sit in there, relax, have a drink, read a book and not have to worry about getting everything wet. She gets excited to go in and get a bath.

I had done a lot of research and we dealt with a couple of walk-in bathtub companies but nobody was willing to talk to us on the phone without sending somebody to the house first and doing the whole slide presentation. I was scouring the internet and found Bathing Safety. Allen of Bathing Safety clearly knew a lot of what I was looking for by then. He sent me lots of information online and he was available to me 24/7. I called him at 9 o'clock at night and he got back to me because he understood time was of the essence with my dad.
He was just there and was helpful. He didn't try to sell me things that I didn't need and wasn't strong ramming me at all. It happened really fast and it was pleasant because with the other ones, they have to sit there with their little slide show, explain everything to me and say that if I buy today, it's this much off. If I buy in a week, it's this much off and if I buy in a month, it's this much off. With Allen, there was one price. He was really good and I loved working with him.
I liked that Bathing Safety has their own installers so if I had any problems, I would still just deal with one person. Mark of their installation team was wonderful and hardworking. He was very professional but also very engaging. He talked to Dad, which was always nice, because my dad is 95. He made him part of the process. He did the installation in a day and a half. He left the place looking better than when he got here because he had to take a part of the frame up to get in the door. After installation, I had to call him a couple of times because I had questions and he got right back to me and answered me any time.
I like the comfort and the safety that the walk-in tub gives to my dad. He has chronic back issues and I don't have to worry about him getting stuck in the tub. He also feels better because he has enjoyable bath and his back is re-energized when he gets out of it. The bubbles really help his back. I would highly recommend Bathing Safety.

I had looked at the walk-in tubs for quite a while and I was unable to find exactly what I wanted. Worse, I wanted a particular color and the companies that I had checked with wouldn't even ask the manufacturers if they would do it. It would be one thing if they asked and came back and said no, but not even that. However, TheraTub made the color and they matched it perfectly. All of the tubs have the same features, but TheraTub is made in the USA. The parts are not from China, while some of the other ones are actually made in China. Also their sales rep was excellent. When she didn't know an answer, she went to the installer and asked.
The installation team left some stuff in the garage for us to take to the dump, but other than that they cleaned up well. I love the tub and I can get in and out of it easily. However, make sure to look at one that is big enough. I wish I had gone with a standard size 60-inch bathtub, but I cut it down a little smaller, thinking I'm gonna fit in it. I could enjoy it much more if it was a little larger.

My husband has neuropathy and couldn't get around that much. He did some research on the computer and I had very extensive conversations with a lady. I realized that there was only a two-inch step-up in a particular Bathing Safety tub, which would be my husband's better choice compared to other tubs. We were also told that the building part of it is much stronger than the other tubs. Them being local and them building the tubs themselves makes a difference as well.
Everything looked wonderful with the installation. The tub was very nicely put together. They did their job very well and didn't them take that long. The tub is very convenient and we like having something that my husband could sit down in and just bathe himself. I was having to do most of that in the shower so it has worked out very well for me too. He wanted the feel of the water and he could wash himself in places that he hadn't been able to in some time. He chose the size of the tub but mentioned he wished it was just a bit wider. I told him that if he had it wider, he might have fallen so I think everything is perfect for him because he can get up and doesn't have any way to go in either way, so he's not gonna fall. We recommend Bathing Safety to anyone interested.

The guy who sold me my Bathing Safety tub, Allen, said that he works for Veterans and the price he offered it to me for was really good. He was also very knowledgeable and friendly to work with. He was very helpful. I got the bed and the installation team who came out was very good as well. They were here for three or four hours and showed us how to use it.
However, after they installed the tub, nobody told us about the shield that goes in the corners. I didn't find out about it until when I called and asked for a recommendation for what we could do when we are using the shower and the bath since sometimes if we sit and hold the shower handle, water might come out. Their reps said that they had shields that go on the corners of the tub to prevent that. I decided to purchase those but then I didn't know of them at the time they sold the tub to me. Their reps or installation team should bring that option up. My wife is handicapped. She hasn't been able to take a bath since 10 years ago. Instead, she has just been taking showers. Now, she doesn't have to step over the bathtub nor do I have to lift her up to get in it. Overall, the tub has been very good for her.

Alan with BathingSafety was honest with what was needed and what is not necessary. While he was willing to order the items other companies try to sell you for a big fee, he advised what was needed. He gave me a cost over the phone that was over $4000 cheaper than the nearest competition. The estimate Was The actual. The installation team was on time and started to work right away. The crew of 3 were efficient, and did the work in only 4.5 hours from arrival to completion. They went over how the bath works and ensured any questions I had, they answered. Super fast from ordering to fully installed in only 1 week. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Highly recommended!!

The people at Bathing Safety were wonderful. My wife and I both could not get in and out a regular bathtub so we decided to go with the walk-in tub. The sales representative explained the situation of the tub – what it was, how they put the jets and how it would help with arthritis. The installation team was also perfect. They were good workers. They did the job well and were honest and courteous. I have used that tub one time and I enjoyed it then. But my wife uses it most of the time and she loves it. Her leg had been broken and she couldn't lay down in a regular tub. To get up, she would need my arm to pull herself up. But now, she can get in and out, sit on that thing and take her own bath.
But she hasn't got quite enough room in it. She said she doesn't know how a fat person would even get in there. Our daughter can't even get in it. My wife would love the tub to be bigger and a little taller. She wants to lay down but she can't get her shoulders down in the water. The faucet was down too low as well. When she doesn't use all the tub and she just takes a regular shower, she would have her washcloth on the spigot and the water would bounce off the wall and the commode seat. It gets the floor wet and she has to mop all day. When she sets the jet on real high, that gets the floor wet as well. Despite that, she's happy with what we've got. The tub's awesome and she loves the jets.

My wife made an appointment for a Bathing Safety salesman to come out to explain everything to us. I was impressed with him and some of things that he told us when comparing Bathing Safety with other tubs. I had also done some research on the tubs but I didn't know about all of the warranties. There are also a lot cheaper things but I didn't know how well the tub works with everything on it. We were working with a limited space to a degree so there wasn't too much the salesman could offer but he seemed to be knowledgeable about the product and he did as well as he could.
Both my wife and I are up in age and especially with her, we have some problem getting in and out of the tub. So we decided to get that tub. The installation team seemed to know what they were doing. They came in and got it done within a day. With the walk-in tub, we've been able to take a bath more frequently. Getting in and out of it has been convenient and we don't have to step as high. I thought the water would drain out a little faster though, and I don't like the idea of having to sit in the tub until all of the water drained. It's like you're staying in dirty water and like you didn't take a bath. But we have learned to improvise and use the shower head. That aside, I like the mood light and the warmth for the seat. We like the after feeling from the bubble and air jets.

We had two or three other estimates for a walk-in tubs and we got practically everything that the other one offered for about 3000 less. The Bathing Safety rep was very cordial. The whole experience was wonderful. But I was dreading the mess. I’m a clean freak and I wanted to go away for the day so I wouldn’t be here to see anything in case something happened. They had to take the door off to get it in and cut into it. But I was here when they left and you would have never known that anybody was here. They absolutely left it immaculate.
We like everything about the tub. My husband and I are both older and we like the security of knowing that you can take a bath without having to crawl out of a tiny tub. Also, my husband can sit and take a shower, not necessarily stand. I definitely would recommend to anybody that could afford to put one of those things in that Bathing Safety Walk-in Bathtubs would be the way to go.

Bathing Safety's tubs by BOCA have the features that I look for at less cost. I also had a good experience talking to their sales reps. And although their installers were late getting here, they made up the time and they were through by the time they said they’d finish. They cleaned up behind themselves like they said they would as well. The best feature of our walk-in tub is the Jacuzzi effect, but my favorite about it is that the lights change colors. Since the installation, my husband's dry, scaly skin has really improved. It beats the scales off and he gets out smooth, feeling good. As for me, I have feet and leg problems and I get the force on them. I'd tell people to get a BOCA tub.

When I talked to the owner of the company and talked to Ana, I felt comfortable going with Bathing Safety. Bob did the installation of our tub, and it went excellently. But the problem we’ve had is it takes forever to fill. I have to sit there for 16 minutes while it fills before I can use it. And I’ve been working with two different companies. One company enlarged part of the line and that didn’t do any good and then they tried to give me a heck of a charge for it. And then, also the people I got my softener and my iron filter from came down and took those out because this device has up the flow. And since then, I fell and broke my leg so I haven’t had the chance to use it. Before that, I would start the water running and set my timer for 12 minutes, and then I go out and do things and then come back and take care of it. Other than that, so far, I have been really pleased with our walk-in tub.

I had a good experience with Bathing Safety. We did a remodel and instead of putting a jacuzzi in, because we're 60 years old, I decided to put a walk-in tub. We aren't big bath people but it was for the value of the resale of the house since the house will probably be sold to more of a retirement person and when they see that, they would want that versus a jacuzzi. I sat in a couple of times because it raises my blood pressure up when I sit in the tub. But otherwise, it looks good.
The owner talked to me. It was his business and that's had a lot. I didn't wanna spend months just checking people, asking them questions, if they want to sell it, they need to get back to me. Those operations are way too big. The owner and I emailed back and forth because I had specific questions and then he said instead of doing that, he just called me and then went through stuff with me. I was happy with the information that I wanted. And if I was hemming and hawing, he explained why he felt his was better and let me make my own decision. And then once we decided to purchase it, I had it shipped really quick. It went really smooth. Knowing that I was coming, he made sure that it got shipped. We were in Minnesota when it was shipped and I had to have it shipped to the contractors.
We installed it ourselves because it was a remodel job. The builders wanted to do it themselves versus having to worry about other people. We wanted it there so when they were remodeling, they had something to measure off. It didn't get installed for six months afterward but that's the way building is. I'm happy with it. I like that I got my own faucets and wand. I designed around it the way I wanted it. It fit into the spot that we scaled it out to and it was perfect. You would not go wrong going with Bathing Safety. It's everything I was looking for and I don't need to have the name holder on it. It satisfied what I was looking for and it's the customer service that I really appreciated.
We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with your purchase, thank you

We had Safe Step come and they sent me a high-pressure salesman who wasn’t leaving until he made the sale and to get him out of the house, I said yes and wrote him a check. And when he couldn’t show me the contract that I was just signing, I cancelled the check before he got down the street. He sent me the contract which said if you cancelled anywhere past two days from signing the contract, they got to keep 33%, which was the down payment, for re-stocking charges. And that led me to look elsewhere because their tub is 100% made in China, and the Boca Tub is made in Georgia. You can speak to the manufacturer whose name is Bob on the telephone and when I had some questions and installation issues, he spoke to me personally and we solved them and got it in and working.
Alan, the rep from Bathing Safety was fantastic and he answered all my questions and anything he didn’t know, he found out the answer to. I installed it myself with a builder that was helping me because we needed to put an addition. I spent only $6,000 on the tub but it turned into a $30,000 project. It's a very sturdy made fiberglass and it blows the jets dry. After you use it, you have to get out of the tub. There's a 20-minute delay on that blower cycle which is a nice feature. But the door closing mechanism could use a little more engineering and the bolts on the back side of the fiberglass could be reinforced with a metal plate to make them a little sturdier. There's a couple of bolts very close to each other through the fiberglass and the more holes you put close together tends to weaken it. But if it had a metal plate to back it up, it would be a little more secure.
Maybe even a little overbuilt, but it takes a lot of pressure when you close the mechanism which also needs to have a stop on the door. If you push the handle past top dead center, it can go past the door and get underneath it a little bit on the bottom one, which if somebody's in that tub that doesn’t have a lot of strength in their arm, they might not be able to get out of the tub without help. I've made a little stop to prevent that from happening and it shows up in, with our water pressure, 26 minutes and it drains in about 4 ½ to 5 minutes and since the installation, it's been fine.
It's a good, well-engineered product that's a lot more reasonably priced for the market that they’re trying to sell to who are mostly people over 60 because younger people aren't going to think twice about getting in the bathtub. It has the lowest threshold to the ground like the least step up and it's fantastic that way. But we raised it up two inches off the floor because the upside piece of fiberglass that came with the tub if we cut it to make it work, it would have been such a thin strip of fiberglass that if I ever needed to take it off, would probably break. I spoke with the company's installer and he said I could do that if I didn’t want to cut it and it worked out fine because it was in the corner of a room rather than going in where an old tub went. We built a little 100 sq. ft. room just for this tub that ended up being partly for the tub and partly for increasing the size of the master closet which now has 24 ft. of hanging space.
Bathing Safety is the only American made tub, which is a good reason to go with it and I would recommend them. It’s also going to be less expensive. The filler and the three-quarter valves were nice which you have to pay extra for with Safe Step. Safe Step and a couple of the other brands also try to sell you a fancy temperature equalizing valve for another $1,000, so you wouldn’t get scalded which is a waste. Our hot water heater has a constant flow, tank-less, and it could provide 120- degree water for 20 days straight which is what I would recommend to anybody who was thinking about getting one of these tubs. With the Boca Tub, you can fill the footwell in 10-minutes at a 3 ½ gallon flow rate and once you have the footwell filled, you can turn on only the jets in the footwell and get your feet being massaged while it fills up the rest of the well before you turn on the upper jets and the air which is a nice feature.

For about a year, my wife looked at different baths and she picked Bathing Safety because that one seemed to be best and for some medical reasons. My wife has IPF and she can’t do her bath because she descends and loses oxygen in the blood. She really likes the Bathing Safety tub because she can sit in there and she can go ahead and concentrate on breathing and keeping her oxygen level up and still take a bath. She has already used it three times.
Bathing Safety had a little bit of a transportation problem though during installation but that was because of the snow we had up on the East Coast. But the logistics part of it was great. The tub got stuck in Dallas so we had them get a truck and move it out and had them pick it up. It was a man and wife couple who came out for the installation and they worked good together. She knew what to get in next and they put the tub in in no time. And before they came, I signed on the picture of the thing and measured it for them and they made the temp to fit. I was really amazed because I’ve done construction before and I don’t think I could’ve found anybody locally that could put that tub in that quick. It was all ready in about five hours.

I spent five years researching bathtubs and we’ve been saving for over five years as well. We got Bathing Safety Walk-in Bathtubs with the air, the water jets and the bidet. And the tub of that size needs to have an exceedingly large hot water tank because the tub itself takes 90 to 110 gallons. It cost us $12,000 because it was $7000 for the tub with all the amenities that we picked and $3000 for the on-demand hot water and another $2000 for the installation. It’s the only American-made walk-in tub in our country from what it used to be.
Also Bathing Safety’s sales rep was very professional and provided us with the different options we had. He discussed the pros and con. A guy and his wife came to install the tub. They took everything out and even went to the local lumber store because we needed some more walling back. For the past four years I’ve been living off of sponge baths and occasional million-year-old bathtub that we have upstairs to soak because I couldn’t put our shower seat in the shower down here and there was no shower upstairs.
But now with Bathing Safety I can walk into the walk-in bathtub. It made it lovely for me. When we first brought it in I got severe and several different types of arthritis. Also my left knee and hip were so bad that I could barely stand up. I’ve been in the tub almost every day now and after my first bath I could stand up. But there’s a small chip that they’re supposed to come back and replace and we haven’t heard from them yet.

The people from Bathing Safety were really good. The tub had some issues which weren't their fault. They said they had tested the tub for two days, but it still leaked after we got it in. A lot of times, after you buy something from a company and they got your money, they don't want to talk to you. But, Bathing Safety is the opposite. They're very concerned if I’m having a problem. And they even paid me 300 bucks for my inconvenience which is almost unheard of. And the lady on the phone, Anna, was so technically on top of things. I worked in an experimental department for 40 years and retired. And dealing with her, I never could ask her a question regardless how technical it was that she couldn't answer. The product itself is good. And it is over 90% American content which, too, means something to me. I'm 75 years old and I like the feeling that some fellow Americans built the tub. And from the ground up, it's a good outfit.

The first tub I looked at was a little too pricey for me so I decided not to go with it. I inquired elsewhere so I did a Google search and found HCR which installs Bathing Safety tubs. I called them up and apparently, they have a representative here in Fredericksburg and I talked with him. It was a good price and they put the tub in about two weeks ago now. I was pleased that they knew what they were doing and it was a good experience so far. I love the tub. The quality of the tub was just as good as the very expensive one, which was a Kohler walk-in tub. That one was something around $18,000 versus $13,000.
Our sales rep Brian was good and he explained everything to me, and it was what I wanted. He knew what he was talking about and was very good. During installation, they were supposed to come in the morning but I was wrong. They didn’t come until the afternoon. They said they tried to call and left a message but I didn't remember getting the message so they got here around 2 o’clock but it only took them four hours to put it in. They were very efficient, did a good job, and cleaned everything up. You couldn’t ask for a better service.
The tub runs like a top and it’s really nice. But I have to be careful when I turn the water control on. If I have it up too far, I am going to get a really good bath and it really comes out forcefully. I like the foot soak or the foot massager with the water. It’s so good on my feet and my legs. That is really nice because I do a lot of walking so it helps relax me and soothes my legs. It’s a great experience with the tub and everybody should get either way. It’s well-made. When they put the fixtures in, they were all Moen faucets so you can’t go wrong with that name. They’re using top quality products to put into their baths and not using out cheaper products. I like it and I’m glad I have it.

I love the walk-in tub that I got from Bathing Safety. I bought it for my wife's father. I found them on the internet and when I talked to their sales rep on the phone, he seemed to be pretty knowledgeable. He gave me all the information and everything he told me turned out just fine. My wife's father has Alzheimer's and it's now a lot easier on me if I'm trying to get him to bathe. It also works better than the walk-in shower that we have. So far, we used it three times and it worked pretty good.
Thanks for the review and we are happy to hear that the walk in bathtub is working out well for your wifes father

The men who installed our tub were prompt, very quick and excellent. They were on the dot when they said they would come and they told me how everything worked. My shower was a low step-in but the tub is even better, and also has enough grab bars in it that I can handle. I love my tub. I’ve already recommended it to my nearest and dearest friend in Birmingham and told her not to look any further than Boca. Their price is better and the features are fabulous.

I am absolutely 100% happy with my experience with Bathing Safety. I was trying to compare their cost to make sure I was getting design as well as features that I had seen with other tubs that I had looked at on the internet. Their rep made two suggestions that I did not need but I went ahead and got it. But now that I have the tub, I realized he was right. He was trying to help me. It’s just that in order to compare apples to apples, I needed to know that I was getting the same features that I would have gotten in another tub.
One of the features he recommended was the heavy seat. I thought that I would need that because especially in the winter time. But I realized that the tub fills up quickly and I could have gotten by without that. I also bought a cushion for me to sit in the tub and I don’t use that at all. That was an expense I could have done and the sales rep told me I probably would not need that but I went ahead and got it. Extra features aside, I use the air jets a lot because I have MS and I also have fibromyalgia and arthritis.
Though I found that the water jets were just a little bit rough for my neck area. So, I use mainly the air jets in those top jets but I do use the water jets for my back, legs, and my ankles. The hydrotherapy is definitely what I use the most. Also, I use the lights for chromotherapy, but I do that just more for the effects than any benefit from it.
When the installation team came, they got here within 30 minutes of when I was expecting them. They were able to finish around 4:00 that afternoon. They took all of the stuff they used out of the house. I went through and did a good dusting but that was the only thing that was left behind. One of the installers, his name is Ron, showed me how to work all of the features.
So far, I love my tub. The only problem I’ve run into is that my drying system is not working well. The plumber said that I needed to have a vent installed. And the reason that it’s not drying well is that it’s not getting enough air to keep everything flowing through. Right now, I’m trying to make sure that the plumber is telling the truth because he will have to go in and break up the slab and that’s going to be a major expense. I have also talked to Bob, the owner of Bathing Safety, and he assured me that they’re going to do all they can to make sure they’re something that is not necessary. He's very nice and I'm counting that they’ll do what they can to help me out. Other than that, I’m not stable enough to track problem over the doors so I just sit there and try to entertain myself. Still, all good things come to an end and I feel that everything will work out somewhere along the way.

I interviewed one company that came to my house and I found that the presentation was bogus in terms of the numbers that they were putting out to me. So I started researching and found Boca from Bathing Safety online as of the companies I was looking at. They were quite upfront about everything when I spoke with them over the phone. I went to their website and they sent me quotes and showed me videos. I spoke to several people from Bathing Safety and they all have a very good customer relations. Their product was quite good at a price that was a lot better than the other company.
There were two gentlemen who came during installation and they installed the tub efficiently and quickly. They were quite good and it seemed like they have done a lot of them before. I was concerned when they took the frame off the door in the bathroom and tried to get the tub through the door, but they did it well and put it back without any issues. After the installation, I called about the aromatherapy feature on the tub because it seemed like the cap was leaking air or wasn't closing off. The aroma was supposed to come out through the air holes in the tub and I noticed the air was kind of seeping through this cap. So Bathing Safety sent me another cap. I tried tightening it really hard as best as I could during that time and it seemed to help a lot. Overall, I would recommend Bathing Safety.

My wife saw a Bathing Safety advertisement on TV and what they were saying about their tub was that it was the lowest one, close to the ground and that it's easy to get in and out of it. They had good installers who came and did what they had to do. They also put the tub in at a reasonable time. I like that the tub gives a massage. I also like that I can change the color of the lights as I set it to different massages.

It was Bathing Safety's representative and their cost that made me go with them. They were completely informative and came back and made sure everything was okay. The install guy did a marvelous job, too. It was difficult because they had to remove the door panel and they did such a nice, neat, professional job. It was perfect.
I'm happy with the tub and I enjoy it very much. I like the jets and the vibration of the water for my legs and my back. This time, though, I have to lie a little longer to take a shower and then bathe. It's long enough time to utilize the full 25 minutes because I run it full time and then full use of the jets. But it makes me feel better. It relieves my legs and back. It's not a cure, but that's relieving. I'm going to tell my doctor to get his wife one for Christmas. The only thing I would suggest is more jets on the back so that it comes up higher on the back. I see on television that some others seem to have more than what this tub has. Nevertheless, my Bathing Safety experience has been very satisfactory. It's been wonderful with them.

The finished product looks and operates fantastically, and my wife has enjoyed the ability to soak in a tub after years of not being able and having to take showers where she was always fearful of falling even though assisted. Remarkably, the installed step-in height is only 1 ½ inches, and my wife doesn’t have to make any special effort to get into or out of the tub because of the threshold height. Amazing!
Re-positioning of the shower’s existing grab bars was spot-on. So glad that we decided on the Syllent motor, micro bubbles and the deep soaker tub! The system is whisper quiet; absolutely no motor noise when running. I’ll be giving the tub a try myself soon! Also attached are pictures of the final installation. We had some final Corian and drywall detailing done afterwards to add that finishing touch. Most pleased with the total end result from everyone! This choice to select BOCA exceeds expectations! We look forward to years of enjoyment of this great tub that you have designed, and I thank you all for the solution you have given my wife. We will gladly recommend you to anyone that we come across that needs a walk-in tub!

I developed an interest with walk-in tubs because of my age and my arthritic condition. I called American Standard and they sent somebody over here but I didn’t like his presentation. He gave me a lot of information but he was too high pressured and didn’t make sense. I was going to put the units in but I wanted to do some of my homework and check out what's going on and what they were. I wound up calling four different places and when I talked to Bathing Safety, they seemed to be the most reasonable. The installers were very professional and quick as well. I was amazed that they put in two tubs in one day and that the job was excellent.
The upstairs unit's working but when I used the unit downstairs and pushed the lights, they don't go on. I tried it again and then it worked. But it's like there's something on to it though and it's not safe. Other than that, it's very good. In the downstairs unit, we bought a bigger motor and put in another jet to handle the arthritic condition in my arms which seems to work. Right now, I do not have any arthritic type of pain which I usually have at this time. There's a different feeling when I get out. It's a big help and I would highly recommend the Bathing Safety tub.

I saw the walk-in tubs on television. I decided that would be the only way I could get out a tub and my husband went online to look. All the people at Bathing Safety were wonderful. I love everything about my tub. Like today, I filled it up to have a whole tub. I stood in there and used the sprayer. I’m an old woman. I have had so many back surgeries that I have a bad back and I felt wonderful when I’m in the tub. I’m very uncomfortable standing in a shower so I felt very safe and secure in there. People ask me if it takes a long time to fill up or drain the tub and I told them it’s not. The tubs are expensive but they’re so much more practical. I’ve had Jacuzzi tubs, I’ve had everything in my lifetime and this is the best. I waited for it for so many years and now that I have it, I call it my spaceship. It’s beautiful. I’ve already recommended it to all my friends.

My decision for a walk-in tub began with a bathroom remodel and close quarters in our new home. This rustic log home was built for transitioning to retirement in many aspects. I did my research and made some inquiries that ended in pressure tactics. My call to BOCA was a delight. Bob, the owner, answered the phone. He quickly put me at ease and answered all my questions plus offered much more. His knowledge of his product is fantastic. The price was quoted and installation explained. I was elated! Everything would perfectly fit into our plans from size of the tub to timing the installation. They spoke with our contractor and electrician at my request as I am clueless in these areas. The tub was delivered in a timely manner and the installation crew of Bob and Terry ** provided professional services beyond our expectations.
Our electrician said, “This guy knows his business.” They had to remove 2 door frames and even made a repair we noticed later. They gave a very good orientation to the use of the tub. They definitely showed pride in the product and company they represent. We completed the room with this stunning backsplash. We live in Owensville, Missouri which is a rural/farming community. Our home is like living every day in a mountain resort with amazing amenities. The BOCA tub is fabulous!! For now it is a luxury to enjoy daily and in our future it may be the key to staying in our own home in the event of illness or injury. Anna has been wonderful with followup to assure we are totally satisfied. And we are! I fully recommend a BOCA walk-in tub!

My mother has two full-time caregivers and other part-time caregivers. One of the primary full-time caregivers did a lot of research as to what is the best option for walk-in tubs and she zeroed in on Bathing Safety. It seemed to make a lot of sense so we went with it. The installers were a father-and-son team and they were incredible. They had a problem with a previous installation so that threw them off on getting to us, but they worked late and were very professional and courteous. They also cleaned up incredibly well. We would certainly recommend them to others. My mother has gotten in the tub, but she has the same bath issues. She's only had one or two full uses of the bubble bath. But on the positive side, we've put the tub in a location where it's easy for her to use and other people besides her primary caregivers can help her utilize the tub in some capacity. And with the tub, we have the potential of her using it more.
We appreciate you taking the time to give us a review. We hope your mother can continue to use our walk in bathtub and that she enjoys it. Should you have any questions in the future please feel free to contact us.

We had two other people that gave us estimates and there were several thousand dollar price difference between them and Bathing Safety. The first estimate we had was $19,000, and the tub we have now was a little bit over $10,000. I was also able to go to the Boca Tub Factory, which is about 15 miles from my house. They were very helpful in showing me how they make the tubs. I was able to actually sit in the tub, and see what size we might want. They have a lifetime warranty, and made in the USA.
The installation was superb. They knew exactly what they were doing. I was impressed how fast everything went and how little dirt I had after that to clean up. I was very pleased. My husband loves the tub and he uses it three-four times a week. And it's much easier for him to get into the tub. Because we had a jacuzzi in the house, and he was just not able to get in and out easily. That's why we decided to use one of our extra bathrooms to convert it, and put a walk-in tub in there. It was a no-hassle experience. I highly recommend it.

The Bathing Safety walk-in bathtub is something that my husband really wanted. My husband and I are older and we both have bad knees. When he retired, he went online and researched on the tub thoroughly. We did a lot of homework on this, as this was not a small purchase, and we found out that Bathing Safety is superior to a lot of other bathtub companies. They also charge less because they don't have a huge overhead, as they don't have guides coming to your house to show you the product. In addition, they stand behind their product, unlike a lot of other companies that have reports of not cooperating with buyers after the sale, when the buyers have problems.
We did most of our inquiries over the phone and through email, and they sent me a brochure. We're in South Florida and we took a trip to their office in Tampa, met their president, and sat in the tub that they showed us. I liked the way that it's made and I was very pleased. The people at Bathing Safety were very accommodating and helpful. Anytime we had a question, they always answered it, and if they were not there to answer our questions, they called us right back.
We just had our bathroom redone and the first thing we did was put the tub put in. Bathing Safety took a day and a half to install the tub and they did all the plumbing too. They cleaned everything behind them and there wasn’t even a spot left. So far, we're very pleased with the tub. We got a good product. We got the tub for a specific purpose — to help with our circulation and take some of the pressure off our knees — and it does that. We both love how our legs feel. We just need 15 minutes in it as we don't really bathe in there, but it definitely helps with our arthritis. It feels great and it's relaxing. My husband walks out and feels like a million dollar after he sits in it.
We got pretty much the bare bones, just what we needed, but the tub has a lot of extra things that you can do with it, like you can have a bubble bath in it. It has a ledge and I light a candle and leave this on every once in a while. We’re big people, but it's easy to get in and out of the tub. I also feel safe with it, even if I'm not good on my feet. It has a little roughness which feels like a grip, so that I don't slide off my seat. The lock is secure too so I'm not worried. Furthermore, the tub drains quickly so when I step out, I'm not stepping out from an inch of water. Finally, there's a blower that I put on after I step out of the tub and it dries the whole tub in just a minute.
They've even tried to help us with the only problem that we've had with the tub. We needed a guard, like a plastic U, on the top of the tub to keep down the splashing. They ordered that for us and sent it to us. Then the same guys who put the tub in are going to come in and put that guard in for us, and there's no charge for that. The tub works really well and we've already recommended it.
Thank you for all the information, and we hope the splash guard works well for you. If you should have any further questions please feel free to contact us anytime!

The installers were on time and didn't take but a few hours for the installation, and they did a really good job. We just wanted the basic tub and I didn't want the jets, and I don't use that. I like being able to walk in the tub so I can bathe, and it's easy to get in and out. The Boca tub of Bathing Safety has been a good thing and we like it. It's more reasonably priced and I highly recommend it.

I’ve had polio twice when I was younger with scarlet fever in between and I’ve got all kinds of physical problems. I can’t use a regular Jacuzzi-type tub, which we have in the master bedroom because I can’t get in and out of it. Bathing Safety has all the features but I particularly liked the air jets and wanted it in the tub that I got. Also, I have a lot of faith in the Better Business Bureau rating and if they say a product is top-rated, then, it’s the one I’m going to go with.
The installer came out and installed the tub well but I have a problem with it. I understand that I have to fill the tub up over the jets but unfortunately, the way the tub is designed, the water goes over the edge of the tub on the back where your head is. I didn’t notice it the first time I used the tub but the second time, I did and I didn’t overfill the tub. I can have the jet real strong, which is what I need but then the water splashes and there’s nothing to stop it from going right on to the floor so I’m not real happy about that. It has a headrest that goes between where the tub has lip then the wall and if I push that down really hard, it will stop most of it, and I could always put a towel there. But I understand also that there’s a guard that I can put on there so I’m going to call the person I talked to originally where I got the tub from and see if I can get one of those to get this whole thing going.
Nevertheless, I’m thrilled with the air jets because that’s really a cleansing feature. It really does take the dry skin off. It got a blower system that blows all the water out of the lines 15 minutes after you turn the tub off and the tub has been drained, so the water lines are always clean. It runs for a couple of minutes and totally dries the pipes out so that there isn't any germs, molds or mildew in there at all. And the water that’s coming into our tub the next time we use it is good, clean water. I like the tub and I’m glad I got it.

We were able to get to the warehouse and look at the tub from Bathing Safety. Also, they answered all of our questions, spent a lot of time with us, let us get into the tub and they were very thorough. They did what they said they were gonna do. They called back when they said they were gonna call back. Customer service was great and they took time with us. They explained everything including the warranty and if we needed help, we could call. My brother had a lot of questions about everything and they answered them to a T. Then, the people that came out and installed the bathtub said they were gonna be finished in two hours and they did it. They also cleaned up and it was a perfect job. As far as sales reps or the people in the factory, walking through the factory and seeing how everything was made was very impressive.
I'm a little older and I have some health issues. I like that I'm able to walk-in to the tub, shut the door, sit down, relax and stay there for however long. It's really nice to get in there and sit there for 30 minutes and let the world go by. Everything was very convenient as far as all the equipment including the jets and the pillows. Also, the tub is set in the area where it was supposed to. They had to put extra shelves in to fill up the area where the pool was but they did that without any extra charge.
I would recommend them over the many ones that we had talked with where there was a lot of double-talk one side of their mouth and out to the other. Then, when you decided you were gonna go ahead and get it, it's a whole different story. I don't appreciate that. I've been in customer service all my life and you say one thing, you better abide by it. It was an excellent experience from the day that we called Bathing Safety to find out information to the day that they installed it and walked out of here. Everything was perfect.

We moved and we were waiting until our other place was sold. We had a hot tub in there by Premier but it was very expensive. We talked with Allen from Bathing Safety for about a year and went with them for the price. We had also spoken with other representatives and even had one come over but their price was almost twice as much. Allen was super-duper and Bob the installer was super nice and did a great job.
I love Bathing Safety walk-in tub's lights. They're so soothing and relaxing. But we noticed that we also had ordered the aroma and that doesn't seem to work very well. We bought some of the liquid that you pour a cap full in to get the aroma from a pool place called Allied Pools. We bought three different aromas which we used in lieu of Bathing Safety's. Allen is gonna reimburse us for that part. Also, one screw fell off which was very odd because we've only had it a few weeks. But I was able to tighten it with an Allen wrench so I didn't have to call anybody to come back. The installer is from Minnesota, so that would have been a long trip to put a screw in.
Then, Allen called me and asked if I would mind having a lady from Wisconsin who's considering the tub to come in. An elderly lady with her daughter came over and Allen was kind enough to offer a $100 for allowing them to come over. They were very impressed and I think they're gonna order if they haven't yet. Allen is the best public relations person I've ever met.

Boca came out on top of the ratings in the Better Business Bureau when I was checking out walk-in bathtubs. They gave me all the information on the phone when I called them, where everybody else insisted that they had to come in to give me a price. I had American Standard and Safe Step come in, and their prices were within $1,000 of each other. They sent their representative and they told me it's $20,000 and then I could buy it for $16,000. But Boca's representative gave me the price right then and there when I called. That's why I went with Bathing Safety and Boca, as well as them giving it to me at half the price. The representatives never came to my house, everything was done over the phone and email. But we got what we wanted.
My wife and my sister-in-law have Down Syndrome and are both handicapped. Now, they can get in and out of the tub on their own. I used to have to stand there, hold them, and help them balance into the tub. Then, put the big chair under their butts so they could sit and then they would have to use the handheld shower head to clean themselves off. They never could soak and the seat takes up the space to at least stand in and take a shower, I lost half the bathtub. So, now, with the walk-in tub, they get in, soak, turn on the water and air and get the massage. It is working well. I've ended up where I'm sitting and doing the massage than taking a shower. It’s nice but sometimes you still want a quick shower.
The installation team is very good. We've only had it for three weeks but it seems to be relaxing. If anybody is going to buy one, go with Bathing Safety and Boca instead of the other higher-priced ones. They did exactly what they said and put everything in. Plus, they did a little bit of extra for me because I had a situation with that old wall and they took care of it, made it fit and did everything fine. So, it worked out good.
Thank you for your review. We are so happy to hear that your wife and sister-in-law are now able to bathe on their own. We hope they continue to enjoy the walk in tub, and if we can provide any further assistance to you please feel free to contact us at anytime.

We are in our older years and we thought that a Bathing Safety tub could help our arthritis and all the other problems that we have. It's also pretty and the most economical but a good one. We bought it through a gentleman and his brother installed it. He was pleasant whenever we talked to him and he had someone else who was helping him for a while. The person that delivered it put in a couple of hours to help him, got it in and re-arranged the marble that was going to surround it. We're not yet in the house where the tub is installed but hopefully, the bubbles that cause vibration will bring healing and pleasure.

I had a stroke and a lot of things have changed in my life. One of the things that is benefitting me now is having a Bathing Safely tub. I spoke with their installation team and they were knowledgeable and courteous. Moreover, they were on time and cleaned up after themselves. Everything went smoothly. Since the tub was installed, I've been more relaxed. It helps with my aches and pains. I like that I can sit down and close my eyes. Get one and try it.

I had the Bathing Safety walk-in bathtub installed for my wife because she was not able to get in the bath as she was very ill. There was no problem with the installation. The bath is beautiful and perfect, and everything is terrific. It's a good product. As a matter of fact, I gave my sister-in-law a picture with the old bath in the bathroom and another picture once the installation was completed.
We are glad to hear you are happy with your new walk in tub. We wish the best for your wife and her health.

Installation was a little slow (arrived just before 10 AM) because one installer had a personal problem going on at home. He said he was sorry but was something he had to take care of and it left one individual to do most of the work. Around 4 PM they called for additional help and after he arrived installation was completed just after 6 PM. Was very pleased with the appearance of the installation and the wife was happy that all areas of the old installation were nicely covered. I was given complete instructions on the operation of the unit. Told to fill out warranty papers and mail them, and if I had any problems gave me a number to call.
All material removed was cleaned up and hauled away. The installation area was cleaned and the material laid down over the carpets to protect them was rolled up neatly and removed. Both my wife and I are very pleased with the unit and are looking forward to enjoy it to the maximum. I liked the idea of the sales personnel who asked me what I wanted and gave me the total cost of everything. They did not pressure me and said "talk it over and call us back". (One company came to my house, gave me an estimate for the same features for twice the price and demanded 50% down and sign the contract now. When I refused he got angry and I asked him to leave.) So far I am very pleased with everything.

After looking for walk-in tubs on the internet and calling a couple of companies, I went with Bathing Safety because their tub was lower to the ground than the others and the price was better. The salesman I had was a very, very nice guy who's very good to deal with and explained everything. All the Bathing Safety people were great to work with, excellent and very professional. They came and measured everything, took the old tub out and installed the new one in one day's time. They were very careful and neat about it, and had done a very good job. My wife uses the tub and she likes the air jets real well.

The rep from Bathing Safety was very good and not high-pressure. He was forthright and answered my questions while the others didn't seem to want to. He talked to me about the price on the phone while the other companies won't tell me. I found the cost on the internet which was upward to $18,000 and it is something I would never have been able to afford.
We went to Atlanta to pick the tub up and brought it home. The lady that was helping us in the factory was terrific. However, for someone who's going to install the bathtub themselves, the directions weren't detailed enough and there is no schematic that comes with it so we had to guess what parts go with what. Fortunately, I have somebody who's able to figure those things out but a lot of people might not get it.
I love the light but it's in the wrong place. My leg covers it up when I'm moving around and I can't see the light. It needs to be in the front where there's nothing there that would impede it. Then the water splashes with the jets going. It's a powerful motor and it feels good but unfortunately, the side effect is splashing. The water accumulates in the back and we had to seal it good to make sure it didn't get into the wall. It would be nice if it was tilted forward and there was a little lift so that the water could go down into the tub instead of accumulating by our wall. Also, the tub set, the drain and the overflow were right in between of a 12-food wide beam and my husband had to do some restructuring of plumbing to accommodate the bathtub.
Other than that, my husband and I love it. I would certainly recommend them to somebody especially if they are capable of installing it themselves. It will save a whole lot of money. A lot of folks can afford the bathtub and fortunately, my husband has been a licensed contractor for many years and he's perfectly capable of installing it himself.

We bought our home last year and then received a letter in the mail about going to a presentation at a local restaurant. And so we called and said we would come. We had been interested in Bathing Safety before but we just had never went down looking at them. So we had the meeting and they explained everything to us and then right afterwards they came to our home because we said we were interested in purchasing one. Then they came and explained a little bit more about it, and checked the measurements. And then we ordered it and it took a little while because they had a couple of issues with it. The installers were very cordial, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. They explained to us what they were doing and everything was fine.
After we purchased it, we decided later on we wanted to add a couple of things to it. We didn't have the colored light and the heated seat in it at first. And so they went ahead and did that. And when they did it, it didn't get relayed to whoever was doing it so it took a little bit longer. But there's no big deal. They got it taken care of. Every time we have to call them, they've been efficient. They got right back with us and answered all of our questions. They've been really good. I like sitting in the tub and enjoying the bubbles. But our water heater probably should have been bigger because I can't fill it full and have it super hot. That's the only real issue I have with it. If I wanted a hot tub, then I have to heat up the thing of water first to be able to pour into it which I really shouldn't have to but it's either that or we're gonna have to buy a new water heater and we're not ready to do that right now.
We are here to make sure you are 100% satisfied.

I scoot down and have it on my shoulders, my knees, and my neck where I've had problems before. It's very relaxing and feels like a home massage. I like the price, the lifetime warranty of Bathing Safety and the helpfulness of the salesperson from whom we bought it. We also had a very nice experience getting the tub installed. The sales rep came down to the house and indicated where would be a good place to put the tub and then we talked at length about the installation and use of it. We decided that he seemed to be a very helpful, reputable young man so we ordered the tub.
The installation team was wonderful. The first thing that they did was put the tarps down from our entry around to the bathroom to make sure that they wouldn’t get any dust on things. They moved a piece of our furniture out of the way and when they dismantled the tub, they were able to take the tub out without any damage at all. They were very neat and helpful in explaining to us the things they were doing and Mike, the installer, seems to be very knowledgeable about what he was doing so we felt very comfortable having him do the work.
However, we had a little problem. We had the tile changed in the bathroom because when they moved the tub, we had an empty space for the tile. And the people who put the tile in used the aqua that was connected with the tub that I didn’t tell them to use. In the process, they tripped the reset and the motor was running and I couldn’t press reset hard enough to make it stop, so I had about 15 minutes of panic until my husband came in and was able to stop it.
But my most favorite feature is when I put on the jets softly and put my head back and relax. I have arthritis in my hand, my knees and my feet and the motion of the water is very comforting and very helpful. My husband also has arthritis. He came in from golfing and he had strained his back so the first thing he did was go in the tub and he definitely felt a lot better.
Mike stopped by yesterday and checked the whole thing to make sure that there is no damage done and everything was fine and at no charge at all. He was so reassuring. And then we used the tub after he was gone and everything was fine so we are very happy with it and with the representative who sold it and with the installer, as well. The biggest thing that surprised me was that they could work so neatly and caused so little fuss and do the job so nicely. I'm completely satisfied.

I was interested that Bathing Safety products are made in the United States and that there was a local person who would do the maintenance on it. It also had a 30-year warranty that could be transferred to another buyer. The people that I dealt with were from California. The sales person was very knowledgeable and extremely low-key, there was no pressure at all. I like that about him. He came and did exactly what he said he was gonna do at the time he said he's gonna do it. That part was very important. Furthermore the guy that did the installation and the man that works with him worked really hard. It took longer than they told me it was gonna be but I think they were working hard all along.
I used to be a buyer so I was very careful making sure that I knew exactly when and by what time they were gonna finish installing the bath tub. They did make that deadline but not for my sister's case. However I haven't figured out how to use the bubbles that come with the air jets. It doesn't seem to be intuitive and there's no directions with it. They're either on full blast or otherwise. The water bubbles work just fine though, so I guess I just need some assistance on this matter.
I'm a person that has a great deal of problems health-wise and I like being able to get in and out of the tub safely. I also like a big tub because I can get further down into it. This tub from Bathing Safety though allows me to have that option between the two. I have had no trouble getting in and out of my previous tub except for when I have flare ups. During those times, I just wouldn't get in the tub. Now I can get in even when there are flare ups because there is no problem with getting into the walk-in tub. I'd recommend Bathing Safety since they were very nice people who did what they said they're gonna do.
Jo, thank you for your feedback. We will reach out to your dealer to have someone contact you regarding the air jets on your tub. We are happy to hear that you enjoy using your walk in tub!

I was able to reach a representative of the different brands of walk-in tubs to ask some questions. I had someone that I could talk to, rather than someone coming to my home. Among the questions I had were these -- Which is the best one among the walk-in tubs? Which tub has the lowest threshold and price, and the least issues concerning installation and retrofitting? Which is the best manufacturer brand whose product is made in the United States rather than in a foreign country?
Bathing Safety had a lot of information on their website and I had an excellent experience with them. Moreover, my conversations and communication with their sales representative were tremendous. It was very easy to talk to him, get information, and find out details, including information on payments for the tub. He made the details very simple and easy to understand, and I was able to gather the information to make a decision very quickly. It was terrific with Bathing Safety all the way through installation. Mark, the installer here in California, was able to do all of the retrofitting at the same time that my wife was being hospitalized for an infection of her leg. He was able to work around our issue here in my home and yet he completed the project within one and a half days.
The features of the Bathing Safety tub were all excellent. However, my favorite feature was the lowest threshold of two inches. The other tubs’ thresholds were higher than that. At first, I thought that the water would leak out but it didn't. Everything was fine. Meanwhile, from the time I had the tub installed until today, I've had the bathroom around the tub remodeled because I wanted it done before my wife came home. She's still in the post-hospitalization rehabilitation facility. So, I had all of the fixtures and safety features on the tub and around the tub also placed in the bathroom so that it was one complete, safe bathroom for her.

My wife just had surgery on her knees and hip, and we wanted to buy a walk-in tub. I researched on the internet and found out that Consumer Reports said Bathing Safety's tub was about the best, so that's what we went with. The people there were all very helpful and I couldn't ask for anything better. The sales reps were very friendly. The two guys who came to put in the tub drove all the way from Florida and installed the tub in about three hours, where it normally takes a day. But we had the bathroom stripped out, so we saved them a lot of time. The installers did an excellent job.
I like everything about our walk-in tub. I like its height, which is just a couple of inches. The jets are real good and very powerful. I've only used it once, but I loved it. My wife is going through therapy right now, three days a week, and the tub is helping her a lot. We found the best tub.

My experience with Bathing Safety has been great. Everything worked out fine. I found them online as I was doing some research. They came out and they ranked number one. Bathing Safety reps were straightforward, gave me the price and said they would install it, but if I wanted to get somebody else I could. I like the fact that they were willing to provide names of people who had installed the tub. They gave me people in Indiana, not far from where we live, I called them and checked on the references, and they were good. They came in and in four hours they had taken out the old tub which was big and what they call a garden tub. They tore that out, cleaned it up, hauled everything away, put in the new tub, tested it and showed us how to use everything.
My wife in a wheelchair is the one who use the tub but she’s not crazy about the air jets. I think they’re great, although I haven’t personally sat in it and used it. But it’s easy to operate and everything works fine. Before, we had to maneuver in and out of a shower stall and my wife felt uncomfortable with that. But this is much safer. She doesn’t have any aches and pains that some people have.
Bathing Safety was right on the mark as far as getting the work done, the price and they were good with their follow-up work. I’d call them and they fax or email information to me. They’re fairly expensive to put in and it was one of the things where I had to put a 50% down payment on it. This company doesn’t have local distributors and so, it made me a little bit leery, but everything that they said has held out and they fell through. They did the right job.

For years, I've been seeing pictures of Bathing Safety's tubs in the magazines thinking that they would be good. However, I was not paying much attention to it until I had some problems as I got older - I'm not very well-balanced and there are things that I have to be careful of. Using the regular bathtub in the recent months has become a real circus act, so I never knew when I was gonna go for a break or not. We know a person in our community who fell in his tub and broke his leg. That's the worst thing that can happen to older people since they don't know what it's gonna do to them if they fall and hurt themselves. It can do something minor but it can also make your life a really hard thing.
So, I got a tub from Bath Safety. Their sales and installation teams are very quick, competent, and have a good sense of humor. I love my tub, it's the only thing that really soothes my arthritic problems. There's plenty of hot water and it's easy to reach the controls. There are three buttons that one can push for various things and I know what the first two are. I still do not know what the third one is though because I can't find my paperwork. I'm afraid to press it because I don't know what might happen. Other than that, I also feel really secure getting in and out of the tub.
I would definitely recommend Bath Safety to a friend but I would have to throw in that the cost is really a burden. Most of us who need the tub are people who don't have any more income. But it seems to me, from what little I know of the mechanism, that somebody has done a really good job of designing something that if we can possibly pay for it, it's worth it. It costs a lot of money but I am getting a lot out of it.

I checked on a website for walk-in tubs and found that Bathing Safety's reviews seem very practical and told some things that resonated to me pretty well. I spoke to Ron and he seems very easy to approach and very patient with responding to any questions I asked. He gave a little more of detail why he thinks that something is useful or not. The lady in the office was good at responding via text messages very promptly and very helpful in coordinating the shipment. She wanted to make sure things were in the right order. Also, the installation guy is fantastic and has such a high standard of work ethic. He worked very hard and was very proud of his work. He was not rushed in getting things done and came back the next day just to touch up and finish the rest.
I called the other companies too, and it was hard to reach them or they had to have somebody come. They didn’t want to tell the price until they see the area which makes it more difficult for me. On the other hand, Bathing Safety is ready to let you know the price. There’s no hidden cost and they’re very frank. They say it’s going to cost maybe $70 more if I want to add another feature, so it’s very clear for me to make a choice. That's the best way of approaching, to be able to inform clearly and exactly what people are going to be getting.
I was happy for what they asked, even though the installation cost a little more because we have iron cast for the tub and it’s very hard to take them apart. Also they didn’t ask for more money. Once they say that it's $2000 for installation, they keep their word. The best feature of the Bathing Safety tub is the lower aspect for walking. Our tub is very low as I need it for my husband to walk in and my husband is using it all the time. Overall I had a very good experience and I was happy with my choices.

I was doing some research a couple of years ago and decided that the Bathing Safety tub was the one I liked the best. I was talking to a dealer in Michigan who told me that those were manufactured in Georgia. I looked up the walk-in tubs and had found they were manufactured close by where I lived. Then my wife and I looked at them at the factory and compare them. We talked about it and decided to put one in. The tub we purchased had a low step-in door and wider door entry.
It was an easy and very nice installation. They had to cut the old bathtub out and get it out of the way, and they did it in an efficient manner. The installers made a lot of noise which was expected in putting it in and placing it but they cleaned up really well as they left. The air and the water jets are some of the its nicest features for me, other than the low step-in. My wife, my mother-in-law and my grandson loves the tub. My mother-in-law feels more relaxed since having it and my grandson, who works long hours at night, really enjoys taking one in the tub and then going on to bed when he gets in from work in the morning.
The people at Walk-in Tubs were very professional in the way they handled business and were outstanding in giving information on how it was built, its structure, features, the options that came with it, and what we could get and not get if we didn't want to. I'd definitely recommend Bathing Safety.

Our only dislike is it takes about four minutes to fill it up to the level we use and then about four minutes also to empty it, so this takes a while and extends the time we're taking in the tub, but there's nothing that can be done about it. I would recommend the walk-in tub to someone in the market for a tub. It's a good, well-made piece of equipment.

After reading the comments of people that had already bought Boca Walk-in Tubs (I used other people’s comments and I depended on them) and when I called, I happened to get the owner (Bob), and talking to him, I decided to bring my business to them. He thought I had talked to a salesman first, which I didn’t. So the only salesman I talked to was him and then I had talked to him several times after that and I bugged him to death for the first weeks before I ordered it. He was very kind and still is. The installation team was my own contractor. I was having my bathroom gutted and in the process, he said, “I’ll just go ahead and install it.” I talked to Bob about it and he said, “Yeah, there was absolutely no reason why you couldn’t.” So he put it in. Nobody showed me how to work the bathtub, but I don’t think it takes brain surgery. There are three buttons and a faucet. I can pretty much handle that.
I have an enormous back problem and so does my husband, so we love the hydro jets feature of our tub. I’m on oxygen, so it’ll make a lot of difference physically. I had a hot tub at one time and we can’t find someplace to put one. So this is the next best thing. I didn’t have back or leg problems when we had that hot tub and that’s what I’m assuming this new tub will do, too.

We were looking around for walk-in tubs and we saw Boca over the internet. Their price was more reasonable and we liked some of their features. Then we had one of their competitors out that has been advertising on TV. This other company told us they had four and a half step-in and theirs was the smallest. We got to looked at Boca and found out that theirs was two and a half. And the other company said Boca was three inches thicker. Now, we didn’t just make up our mind one time. We checked some other stuff. We cancelled the other company and went with Boca.
The sales representative was very friendly and nice. We liked the fact that we didn’t have to talk and have anybody come to the house. He told us everything we needed to know over the phone and we purchased it over the phone, so we liked that feature. The day of delivery was what the rep said it was gonna be. The installation team did pretty good. A piece of tile came up when they took out the old tub, shower, and different things. That wasn’t put back perfectly but it's just little minute things and it wasn’t a big deal. The installation was great and perfect. They seemed to know what they’re doing.
I liked that the door faces inward versus facing outward. I thought that when you put the water in on the door facing inward, when it’s inside, the water pressure pushes against the door and helps seal it better. You have all the water in there and you’ve got that rubber seal. I also like having the automatic deal, the ozonator, and also the other things that’s built in where when you use the jets and stuff, that comes on after 20 minutes and cleans out the pipes. That’s really nice. The only problem we had was that we turned on the jets and we almost had suds outside the tub. So we figured out if someone wants to take a bath, we’ll take a bath last then do the whirlpool stuff first and then soap it down after turning it off. I’ve mostly taken stand up showers and I haven’t really used it the way I would feel more relaxed yet. I'm sure we’re gonna enjoy the tub, it’s just gonna take time. We would definitely recommend the Boca tub.
Thank you for your review! We hope you continue to enjoy your walk in tub!

I read online on every walk-in bathtub company I could find, called two other companies and talked to them. Their prices were higher and when you looked at their construction, it seemed cheesy so I went with TheraTub. The sales rep was very friendly, professional, and had a good sense of humor because I'm a little nutty sometimes but it was a pleasant experience dealing with her.
The installation team were super and real nice. They got there early and did it in four and a half hours. The timeline was fantastic. They also cleaned up after themselves. I was real happy. My wife got to use the tub yesterday for the first time and she's madly in love with it. She said it's like having an indoor hot tub and bathtub all combined in one. She was a lot more relaxed and she's extremely happy with it.

I have arthritis really bad in my legs and back. It's something you just learn to live with but it's getting worse. So I'm looking for things other than surgery to help me tolerate it. I also had two or three times where I slipped a little bit while getting in and out of the tub and that made me want to do something that made more sense. I haven't had the Boca Walk-in tub long enough to know for sure but so far, I can see it's going to benefit my situation and that it'll work. It's an adjustment and anything different takes me a long time.
We heard that the strength was in avoiding foreign made tubs and we had information to figure it out so we chose to purchase from them. It was a lot of money and we don't have that much to spare to make a payment. But I have to find a way to stay out of the hospital and I knew that I couldn't depend on myself to last much longer without having some kind of a problem with trying to get into the tub when nothing is working that it's supposed to with my body. Also, we live in a community with a lot of older people so it seems to me that it will be something that's a plus rather than a detriment to selling our house, if we decide to move in the future. I also realized that it is an asset when it made everything else look upscale and nice in our bathroom. I was afraid it would look too institutional but it didn't. The tub more than fit in and it worked with what was already there really well to make it all even better looking.
The sales rep and the people who were helping him were all very prompt and I could tell they knew exactly what they were doing the minute they walked in. There's enough nervousness about the whole transaction without having to worry if the person knew what he's doing. So that was a very big relief to me that there was no hesitation and it was like they've done it 100 times. The person showed me how to use the tub but for me it takes a while to get it imprinted in my brain. So that means I take it a little at a time instead of plunging in and punching any buttons I happen to see.
I haven't gotten too far with the bubbles but the little bit I've been able to figure it out myself, the more I appreciated it. I already learned that I love the water hot. I can also see that it's got lots of ways that it can be soothing and stimulating too for those muscles that are not wanting to work on my legs because it hurts too much. Since I started using it, I've already noticed the difference positively and I feel that there's a lot more. When I relax about it more, then it'll be just what I needed. What happened so far has given me encouragement and I would recommend it.
We are pleased to hear you are having a positive experience with your walk in tub and we thank you for your review

My wife had a stroke and I was looking for a walk-in tub. I got on the internet and saw the ad from a vet in Oklahoma. Since I'm a 24-year Navy veteran, that got my attention and I thought I'll do business with him. I talked to the sales rep mostly through email and a couple of times on the phone. I guess he owned the company somewhere down in Oklahoma. I got Boca because of the price and all of the features. I did the installation as I do all my own work, and it was a little more difficult than a lot of houses are. We live in a century home and the bathroom door is very narrow. There are walls going down both sides, and I had to cut a piece of the door frame out so that it would slide through. It was no big deal. It just took a little more time.
I like the tub's jets. My wife didn't want it initially, but after I put it in, she asked for a heated seat. I would like to go on and see if they would actually mold out the heating coils in the seat. If I can get heating coils and then attach it underneath the seat, I'd be interested in doing that. Anyway, we had a soaker tub, and she had a hard time getting in that because her balance is real bad. On the other hand, the Boca is only 2.50-inch step, and not as deep.

My plumber had a neighbor whom I spoke to, and he absolutely loved his Boca tub. I then researched on different tubs, and after talking to him, I decided that Boca would end up being the best one. I've only used my tub twice. The first time was when I got water all over the whole bathroom. I bent over while the jets were on, and I didn't know I wasn’t supposed to do that. One thing I would have liked is for the seat to be a little deeper because when I stretch out, I slide off it, which is a falling risk. Then, if the jets are on, I can’t bend over to wash my hair. The jets have to be turned off first, and it may be a good idea to let people know about that. The second time I used it was more relaxing. I just need to get used to all the dials and buttons, and how to sit in it properly.
Also, the water will not turn hot in the tub. I have a shower, which is a separate unit, that I have to totally turn so the water gets hot before it comes into the tub. I told them about it, and they acted like it was normal. But it was never that way when I had my Jacuzzi in there. For $7,500, that was a bit disappointing because I have to use a lot more water than I thought. They said they accidentally switched the hot and the cold, but the water will not turn hot until I get my shower hot. But it's done and I don't want to change it because I couldn't handle the stress of having somebody come back and then do it again. When they came and put the tub in, I had to hire Stanley Steemer to clean all my carpets. The men were very nice, but it's just so stressful for me to have workmen in my house. I have asthma, and the fumes from the stuff caused me to have an asthma attack after they left, I had to open all the windows.
But other than that, my Boca tub is pretty good. They gave me a cushion, which is nice, but it elevates me a bit. My feet don't hit the end of the tub because my legs aren't that long. It would be nice if instead of being at 90 degrees, it was sloped a little backward so a person can sit down in the tub. If I use the cushion that was provided, I won't slide. But if I use the cushion, it puts me up so high, the jets don't hit my back. Overall I'd recommend it, but I would forewarn people to let the Boca tub people know a bit more about what they need. It's a good idea for people to actually get in a tub to make sure they get the right fit for their body. I know Boca can customize stuff but I did everything over the phone, so I did not know how it would feel sitting in it.
Donna, if you use the select-a-flow this can turn down, or turn down the jets in the back so that you are able to move around or lean down without the top jets blowing water out of the tub. We hope this information helps you are if you have any other questions please contact us directly.

We're enjoying our walk-in tub from Bathing Safety like crazy. My wife and I both have knee problems and we decided that the tub would probably be good for both of us to be able to sleep better and it's worked out exactly that way. Installation was also a breeze. In just a little under three hours, our tub was installed and had water in it. They did it very quickly and professionally.
However, my wife has scoliosis and she has significant back deformity up in her upper back between her shoulders and she would appreciate a little bit more force out of the jets. I called them the other night about it and the rep said, "We might be able to swap out that pump with one that's a little more powerful and probably give you some more force out of your jets." He said, "I will look into it and call you back but I'm almost certain we can do that." So, we're anxiously awaiting that. But other than that, there are no problems and we're very happy.
We appreciate your review! We contacted your dealer with the pricing for the pump, per your request. If you do not have the price quote as of today, please contact your dealer for this and let him know if you would like to place an order for the pump. Thank You!

Bathing Safety had the best price for the things that I wanted on a tub and they were very willing to deal with me over the phone and give me a price. Others insist on coming to the house and won't tell anything on the phone and then if you read the fine print, it's an astronomical amount of interest and a big down payment. Their sales rep was a great person to deal with. He gave me the price and information I needed over the phone so I could make a decision. He was very helpful. He called back and checked with me if I had made my decision yet.
I had new construction going on so I called the factory and got the name of the installer. I asked him questions about the construction to make sure that we had it right. They sent me a schematic so I could have my plumber know where things needed to go. He was very, very helpful. He did a very good job and I'm very happy with him. Furthermore, Bathing Safety allowed me to purchase and finish my construction before I get the tub. It was really nice that they held the tub for me until I finished my construction and was able to put it in. So far, I enjoy the tub and it is very relaxing. I like the jets the best.

In 2007, my mom moved in with us. My husband wanted her to have a walk-in tub and he's the one that found Bathing Safety. And with the quality, service and the price, we decided to buy from them. The sales reps were very prompt in calling me back and trying to get the situation resolved. They're overall straight up people. I also like the fact you can just walk into the tub and it's comfortable. It's a quality tub and was an absolute blessing because my mom was in a wheelchair from which she could get out of but it was hard for her to get around. It was good to bathe her in it and she loved it.
She passed away in 2011 and I'm the one using it now. It's awesome when I get in that tub, lay back and the water's rolling around me. I found a shower head that I can put the handle on if I wanted to stand up, but finding a round shower rod like the one they use on the claw-foot tubs is very difficult. But as far as the tub itself goes, I'm glad that my husband found it and that we have it.

Bathing Safety popped up when I was online. I made the phone call and I bought it because I didn't have to pay for it until I got it. They had very nice sales reps and the people who were here were very efficient, very nice, and knowledgeable. The walk-in tub is my mother's and with it, she has the ability to walk in, sit down, and take a bath again because she wasn’t able to do that before. She did mention, though, that the tub filled up too slowly but that has to do with the water pressure and not the tub.

I’ve talked to the man that is the manufacturer of these tubs and he’s fantastic. The sales rep Jay and the office lady by the name Erin were absolutely phenomenal and wonderful too. They answered every one of my questions. The installer was the best ever. He was very friendly, prompt, showed up on time, obviously was a professional at what he did because he did an absolutely beautiful installation.
Bathing Safety's tub was made out of fiberglass unlike most walk-in tubs which are made out of acrylic. It's a quality product from one end to the other. It's totally made in America. There are things about it that are even better quality than some of the big-name tubs like Jacuzzi and American Standard. So I’m absolutely thrilled with it. I use it everyday and would recommend Bathing Safety to anybody. The other companies that are advertising on TV are nothing but a scam to take advantage of the elderly. Because what they do is they will not give you a quote at all until they come to your home and then they high pressure you and say, “We’ll give you $1500 to $2000 off if you sign a contract today.” And the truth of the matter is their tubs are almost double the price of what I paid for mine.

I really liked Bathing Safety's owner whom I ended up speaking to when I made the initial call. He spent a lot of time educating me on walk-in bathtubs and he spent about 45 minutes that day telling me about things that I should be aware of. The other thing I liked about Bathing Safety is that it's made in the United States and it seemed to be all about meeting my needs. We were gifting this to my sister and so it was a little unusual because of the price. I needed to be able to take pictures and have them assess what needs to be done without it being first-hand or talking to the owner of the house. That all worked out really well.
The installers were wonderful and came in right on time, which is most unusual for people that are doing work at home and they were coming in from another state. They contacted me before they came in, told me when to expect them. I was working at that time when they came in. By the time I finished in three and half hours, they had installed, cleaned up, explained to my sister and her husband about the tub and the do’s and don’ts. They even fixed something downstairs that wasn’t related to the tub but it was something that they noticed when they went downstairs to do something with the water heater. They fixed that, cleaned up, and took everything away. I would never have known there was a group of contractors there that day. They over-delivered. They made me feel I was their number one priority, and customer service was exceptional. I was in that industry for a long time and for me to be pleased is a pretty big thing - in fact, above and beyond.

I was really impressed with TheraTub. I worked directly with the company owner who was good and very honest. The process was really smooth. They were willing to sell me a product and ship it to where we needed it to be shipped to. I had our builders install it and they weren't to chuck me $15000 which is the average of other companies. They had a walk-in tub that was built like a boat, made of fiberglass and coated with acrylic gel for anti-bacterial purposes. We got the deep soaker and some upgrades. We have the heated seats, chroma therapy, jets and the air bubbles. The whole thing was about $8,100. It’s not cheap. In overstock.com there are tubs for as little as $2,300 but most are made in China, it’s pretty dicey. So, I chose the TheraTub because it’s made in America and it’s made as a one-piece system and it’s fiberglass. It’s extremely strong and should be extremely durable.

There were only two options: colored lights or a heated seat, and everything else is standard. My dad has some mobility issues, so the tub helps him a great deal. The installers were very professional. They were here when they said they will, and right on time. They told me that it would take six to eight hours to set it up and it only took four hours. I searched for tubs on the web and what set Bathing Safety apart was the quality of the workmanship. The tubs were not plastic. They were fiberglass. Plus the fact that they were made in the USA. Those things and my experience in talking with the customer service people made me decide to purchase Bathing Safety. I would recommend them to everybody.
However, I had trouble with caulking after the fact. The installers did a corner tub installation for me which required building an extensive decking behind the tub. The caulking proved insufficient so I had to have my own guy come in afterwards to just complete substantial, heavy-duty caulking to ensure that water that got up on the deck didn't make its way down through the ceiling from underneath. Part of the problem is the installers are coming from Atlanta. It would have been helpful to lay an initial layer of caulk down that wasn't super cheap, let it really dry and then put the next layer in. But they're not gonna stay overnight so they can come and roughen it up and wait for it to caulk. The other thing is, in a sitting tub if you count those 18 jets around you and right behind you and even if you only filled the tub an inch above the jets and you lean back against them, it shoots the water up on the deck. But other than those two things, I love my Bathing Safety tub.
Thank you for letting us know about your experience! We will use this information in the future to help improve our product.

We actually bought the Bathing Safety bathtub for my father-in-law who was 95 and was moving into a house. After we moved him into his house, he passed away within about three weeks so he really didn’t get to use it very much but my wife and I are using it now. I’m a technical guy and its construction, the support underneath, the thickness of the fiberglass, and other technical stuff made me purchase it. There were two sales representatives who attended to me and they were very good, answered all the questions, and gave prompt responses. The installation team was knowledgeable, courteous, efficient, on time, and cleaned up pretty good. I mismeasured so they had to take the door out of the bathroom and then put it back in and they did a pretty good job with that.
The tub is a side entry thing and I’ve installed something up on the wall to hang the shower nozzle off of. They left a plastic hook on the wall but there’s no way to hook the handle up on there. So I took their hook off and repaired the hole and hung something up there that would work to hold the handle. There’s no way to elevate it like a regular shower nozzle. We're enjoying to use the tub and we’d recommend it to a friend. I would categorize everything as an excellent experience.
Thank you for sharing! We do our best to use high quality products to create our tubs, and we are glad that you and your wife are able to continue using the product. We are very sorry to hear about your father-in-law's passing.
If you are showering in the tub as well, you may consider a shower riser bar. This allows the handheld to be mounted on the wall. You can also move it up and down on the rail it is mounted to if there are different heights needed. I can send you an example/photo if you would like.

My husband started researching about different walk-in tubs on the internet before we buy anything. He read the customer comments so we decided on getting Bathing Safety. We spoke to a woman from their sales team and she started the process. But Jay, one of the owners, was the one we ended up finalizing everything with and buying from. After that, we had several interactions with their people and that's where the not great interactions started. First of all, we were told that they will install on a particular day. I happen to know that the city requires permits for things, and I called the city and confirmed if there's anybody from the company who contacted them about permits. The person said no. So there were delays as we had calls and emails that went back and forth. Then somebody tried to bump it up and decided they wanted it the 21st.
I had to go back to Jay to ask if he's aware of it and that I thought they were getting permits. He said he was sorry for the confusion. Also, the guy who was supposed to show up wasn't on time. A plumber was supposed to come out and inspect the guy who did the work. When the city came to inspect the job, the electrical guy did fine and he asked if the plumber was here which I said no. The city inspector said they're known for it and then went upstairs. He found that the work was okay, so he let it go. Furthermore, my wall is damaged in two spots. One down to some kind of metal corner. Then we thought that it'll be fixed. Their installer was a very nice man. We said we'll have to put up a tile and he said he does that too. He showed some pictures so we said he could do that.
He told us $5.00 a square foot, and then he said something about $500. I had given him a deposit that day. And then the next day I said, "Hey, you said $5.00 a square foot. Why am I paying you $500?" Then he goes, "Oh. Well, $500 minimum." And then I said, "Well maybe we could talk about the floor too because you're just doing a little." So there were more delays and he would take two-hour lunches. His equipment was left out when he went to Minnesota. He came back and it was raining, and his equipment got rusty. So there's a big area of my driveway now that's rusty. I'm not going to recommend this company after this.
I was finally able to use the tub for the first time yesterday. When we bought it, Jay told us that a 40-gallon hot water heater would be enough. So when I used it for the first time last night, I got 3/4 of the way up and I ran out of hot water. So I had to sit there without turning anything on for 10 minutes until I could get a little bit more hot water to fill it up. My husband said "maybe if we turn up the hot water heater more that might work." I was in the middle of a thing last night, so I asked my husband to do it tonight. That was my first experience with it. The lights, the air jets and the water jets work. With everything that has happened, I'd really like my wall fixed. We had talked to the installer several times about it and he said yeah. When he went to Minnesota, he said he'll be here on a Friday, then on a Saturday and then Sunday morning but he didn't show up.
There were lots of delays along the line. Finally, at 2:00 pm we received a call from him. My husband answered the phone and he said he'll be here at 4 pm. It's pouring rain outside so we said we're okay. Then he called at 4 pm and said it was raining too hard and if he can just come the next day, we said fine. He ended up coming late the next day. So he was here until dinner and it took a few days. Finally in the end, when he's supposed to fix our wall, he said he doesn't have something needed to fix it. And it was so late at night and we're not sure if Menards or any place was open. Basically, we were screwed. We had to give him his money so he could go. Therefore, the whole experience was not that pleasant. The product itself is okay but the installer and everything that went with it was bad.

He spent at least an hour and a half with us on the phone, answering a lot of questions and giving us some information. It was a wonderful experience. It's the best interaction we've had with anybody in a long time. And he did exactly what he said he would do which is very rare. He didn't try to upgrade or to push more, he got right down to the basics. Also, their installation team were a delightful group. They came in, went right to work and never messed up the house. They cleaned up and took off everything when they got through and just did a wonderful job. We couldn't ask for better people.
We bought the biggest tub. My son thought it was good, but when I got in there I'm having a little trouble getting comfortable in it because I'm 5'3" short and he's 6 feet tall. The door needs to be tightened up a little bit. They called me the day after it was installed to make sure everything went right and we told them. The rep said they'd have somebody here to fix it but I told them to wait. They're going to call me back because we've had a lot of water here. We have a septic system, so we don't want to overload it. They're one of the few companies we've done business with that have done everything they said they would and have followed up. We were pleased with it. It was outstanding.

The sales reps sent me a lot of information online and then called back to make sure that I understood everything and if I had any questions. Basically, their salesperson is the reason I ended up using them. Most of the walk-in tub companies I talked to wouldn't give me any information over the phone. They wanted to send somebody out to my house to talk to me, and one guy who came out here was very pushy. But the Bathing Safety guys were very professional and I had a great experience with them. Their installers were also very friendly, nice, and businesslike.
However, if I had gone and tried out the tub, I don't know if I would have bought it. When they're only seen online or on the brochures, I didn't expect some of the things that I experienced when I used the tub. You have to actually be in the bathtub and get in the water. I'm used to being able to get the water hot before I jump in the tub. I see why the tub is that way, but I wasn't thinking about it, so it surprised me and I'm not excited about that part. She was impressed and said they were so professional and courteous. Having the walk-in bath tub is a lot more convenient and I would recommend it to anyone who’s interested in it. Extraordinary experience!
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience, Shirley! We appreciate it and hope you enjoy the product!

Bathing Safety was the best choice for me. I like the price and the way their products were manufactured made. I'm a veteran and I trusted them because they're veteran-owned. They are the only company I knew that allowed me to visit the manufacturer to see how products were made. The manufacturer educated me about the walk-in bathtubs, explained how they started, and the different types they manufactured. The installation team showed up promptly and on time. They answered any questions I had while they were doing the installation.
I like the easy accessibility of the walk-in tub because I'm prone to falls. Before, I would have to take a shower bath with the aid of my wife but with the walk-in tub, I'm able to do it myself again and safely. It helped me out a whole lot since I could sit down and do everything that I need to do. It's easier for me and it freed me up as my wife had forbidden me to do it on my own due to my falling out of the tub three times. It's been life changing.
We are glad you are pleased with your purchase!

Five stars does not adequately reflect the level of customer service and quality I received during the sale and installation of a walk in tub for my 82 year old mother. If I could give 10 stars, I would. My mother initially contacted a company advertising walk in tubs on television. She lives in SC and I am in Virginia so I was unable to attend the presentation in person. However I listened in over the phone. The sales person quoted a price of almost $18,000 for a tub and offered a 112 month payment plan. Because the bathroom was really small, he also was in favor of putting the tub in the walk-in closet just to make a sale. When I basically told him that he was out of his mind, he became offended and said that was why he didn't like to do presentations when everyone was not there in person.
After this, I researched companies online and found Bathing Safety on the ConsumerAffairs website. I contacted Alan and he sounded too good to be true. He mentioned that he was retired from both the military and a private company and he was in business to really help people. He also said that I would not find a better price. I contacted several companies and none compared with the price or customer service. The representative for one company made an appointment and never showed up. In fact he didn't even respond to my voice message about the missed appointment.
Deciding on Alan's company was the best decision we could have made. Not only was his price less than 1/2 of the first company's quote, the installers also tore out the original shower and linen closet to fit the tub. The installers were on time and completed the job within 5 hours even with all the additional work. A major snafu was the cashier's check for the tub was sent via 2 day priority mail. You guessed it. It was lost by the postal service and I found out something I didn't know. The bank does not just put a stop payment on a cashier's check and return the money. You have to wait 90-180 days to get the money back. Alan continued to reassure me by saying, "Don't worry. We are going to get Mama's tub in" and they did!!! The check did not show up until AFTER the tub was installed. When Alan said that he was in the business to help people, he really meant it!!! I wholeheartedly recommend Bathing Safety, Alan and Ron, the installer.

I've done research for a walk-in bathtub and came across a couple of different companies and Bathing Safety was one of them. My interaction with the salesman was pretty good and answered any question I had. He communicated with me through the phone as well as email and he kept in touch with me to see how things were going. The installation guys were professional and polite. I was pretty impressed with their work. They did something with our bathroom wall that we didn't expect and they made it a lot better than it was. My favorite feature is the jet. Since I got this, I have felt more relaxed and helped my back since I've got a bad back.
Thank you for your review!

Interactions I had through sales and installation processes were great. The people that came out here to install were so nice and courteous. They did everything they said they would do. I love everything about my Bathing Safety walk-in tub. It's very good and nice. I have some arthritis in my legs and my feet which is a problem but maybe because I enjoy it so much.
We are glad that you are happy with your purchase!

We were invited to a luncheon over at Dungeness golf course, had a real wonderful meal, then we had a speaker from Bathing Safety there and we were very impressed. So they set us up a date, they came over and demonstrated everything. They did a wonderful job. They had it done in twelve hours and we were just amazed how fast they got it done. The men were just total gentlemen.
The walk in tub is very comfortable and you can relax in it. It has easy access to changing your different settings for the water, the heat, and the jets. We haven't used it a lot yet since we've been so busy around the house but we're very pleased with it. We'd recommend it to anybody. I was talking to a friend back in Missouri about it and I said how much we thought it would help us to become more independent and we just love it.
We appreciate your review!
