The weight capacity is typically 300 pounds, though some models are available with 350- or 400-pound limits. Each chair runs on self-charging batteries to ensure accessibility during a power outage.

Arrow Lift offers different features to meet each user's unique needs. These include:

  • Powered footrest folds
  • Slim-line controls
  • Joystick controls
  • Power swivel
  • Safety features such as sensor switches and barrier arm safeties

How does Arrow Lift work?

You can visit your local stair lift showroom to see how different models of Arrow Lift stair lifts work. Arrow Lift offers free in-home consultations. You can also opt for an appointment over the phone to review basic details and answer your questions. While an in-home visit may still be required to allow the team to take measurements, this virtual-style consultation can help Arrow Lift better understand your mobility needs.

You can call Arrow Lift to set up a free, no-obligation consultation. During this time, a stair lift specialist will share information about products and options, answer your questions and provide you with brochures. This person can also help you determine if installation permits or licenses are required.

Once the specialist has the necessary information, you’ll receive a custom quote. If you move forward, a team of licensed technicians does the installation.

Arrow Lift also offers maintenance and repair services for stair lifts. You can purchase a service plan to ensure you aren’t surprised by any expensive out-of-pocket repairs down the road.

If you reach the point where you no longer need your lift, Arrow Lift can remove it for you. If you purchased a new Arrow Lift stair lift, the company removes your old one for free. The company may even buy back the chair for a portion of its original price.

Arrow Lift costs

Arrow Lift straight stair lifts typically run between -lift-$2,500 and $6,000 for a basic model. If you need a custom, curved-rail stair lift, you can expect to pay at least $10,000. The rail length is a key component in the price from there.

Arrow Lift’s costs include installation, warranty and permits and inspection fees. This way, you won’t have any unexpected expenses during the installation process.

To help you save even more, the company offers reconditioned stair lifts that are lightly used. Financing options are also available.

I've had the Arrow stairlift for a few years and I like it. We not only use it for getting me up and down, but my husband had a knee operation in October, so he used it for a few days. We also use the stairlift when we get groceries. I go in, go up the stairs, my husband piles the groceries on, then I take them off and use the stairlift as a dumbwaiter. It's great. Also, when we're taking anything heavy downstairs, my husband would put it in the stairlift to get it down so he doesn't have to heft it himself. We have a niece who's got MS and with the stairlift, we can get her up the stairs as she's not handy at going upstairs.

I use it several times a day to go down and do laundry. And if I got laundry to bring upstairs, I can stick the basket on my lap and take it up. When I first got it, the little kids were here and had to have a ride. So, it's been used a lot and I'm glad I got it. I wish I would have had it when my mom was living because she used to do hand over hand, pulling herself up the stairs with a handrail.

We have a split entry, so, I needed to have two stairlifts. We got four remotes, one at the top and bottom of each stairlift. And you can make it go up and down by itself as long as it's in the right position. And that works great. That's what I use when I get the groceries to come up. While Larry's getting the rest of the groceries out of the car, I'm pressing the button getting it to the top. It's got the foot thing, too. So, if you need to have support for your feet, it's got that. And when we do the groceries, we use the foot thing to put the boxes of pop on. I'm thoroughly sold on it.

When our stairlift was installed, the team who came out was wonderful. I had it very quickly and they were very kind. They were also helpful with letting us know what it was that needed to be done. They made sure that I knew how to do it and that, when I got to the top of the stairs, I made sure it was clicking in so I didn't accidentally get off and fall on the stairs because it wasn't hooked up. It'll click in halfway, and click in all the way. So, when you get to the top, you want to click it all the way in so you can get straight up into the room. If you click it partway, then you're still on the stairs. We've had really good luck with both Arrow Lift and I'm thoroughly sold on their stairlifts.

The Arrow Lift rep came out to do the measurements and gave us an estimate. After we reviewed that and decided to go ahead with it, it was done quickly. They came quickly after we placed the order and went ahead with the installation. I expected to need to wait longer and was pleasantly surprised. You get used to, every time you place an order for something, it's, "That's gonna take two weeks, three weeks, four weeks, six weeks. Special order." They were here within a week, and the installation took place.

One guy came and did the whole installation, and he was great. He was in and out of here fast, didn't make a mess and a lot of noise. He did a great job. This unit is easy to use and very quiet, and that works great. And you'd always love it to be fast. There were ones available that the cost was less. But we chose this one because it seemed to have more quality features to it. Also, the company would remove it at any time for no additional cost. If it's something you're considering, contact Arrow Lift and they will give you the options. They told me that if this was beyond our capabilities for cost, they had some used units or some other things like that, that they could see what they had to try to make it so it would be more affordable for us if we needed that.

I'm familiar with durable medical equipment. I had known about Stannah lift and Bruno. I really like Bruno, but I like the options that Stannah provided like the extended rails. It was an additional $1,500 to add that on. Arrow Lift carried both brands and I was able to see them both in a working state in their store. They have these miniature stairs set up with a lift attached to them so you can compare side by side. I like their setup and theyr were very informative.

I had installed a straight stairlift with the ability to turn at the top landing a little bit. I had an extended rail put on it so that when it goes down to the base, the rail will retract. That is a great feature. The only thing is the stairlift beeps as a safety feature and I find that to be loud, but there's no way to change that. I can live with that. I like the hand controller of the stairlift. It's really nice. I'm a retired nurse and I look at that when I use it and I think, "If somebody has paraplegia or something like that, it'd be really easy for them to use their control.” The stairlift allows me to conserve energy for what I wanna do upstairs. It's been a real blessing and I'm very happy to have done it

I wanted something that took up very little stairwell space. We looked at Acorn and others online, and the Arrow Lift stairlift was best for our needs. I saw how it pulls up in such a neat, compact way if you're carrying stuff up or somebody has to walk up the stairs. It also appeared to be easily installed. I assumed it was gonna be easy to remove, leaving no damage to the attached surface. We're gonna eventually have to move, and I don't wanna have to fix a wall or a floor where they pull that stairlift out.

The install didn't take very long, and the installer showed us exactly what needed to be done to operate the equipment. It fits the stairwell very well. It's compact, so you can fold arms up and fold up the foot rest and the seat. If somebody wants to walk up, it's easy. There's plenty of space to do that. It is quiet and easy to operate. I use it to transfer not only my husband upstairs but also to transport my laundry and household things, like paper towels or whatever I have to carry upstairs. If it's big or bulky, I can just set it on the seat and send it up with the remote.

The quality is excellent. It's very comfortable. It's been a lifesaver. I was helping my husband go up and down these 13 steps, which was dangerous for both of us. He's gonna be 92 on Saturday, and I'm 86. We like the stairlift. Matt, the sales rep called to see how things were going and if we were having any problems. So far, it's met all of our needs. If you need a stairlift, Arrow Lift is the way to go.

Arrow Lift was more local. I had called them. They sent a rep for me to check everything out to see if my stairway was compatible. He was very nice, went through the whole thing, measured everything, and quoted me the price. I accepted and purchased the stairlift. I gave them so much down and I said, “I will give you a check for the remaining amount upon completion of the service,” which they said was excellent. After I ordered the stairlift, it was not long before it was installed. The installer did an excellent job. He was very professional, very easy to talk to, and explained the whole system on how it works after everything was assembled and put in place. It was great from the get-go.

I got the straight stairlift, and I’m able to close my basement door going downstairs. I just have to lift up one of the handles because I have it turned so I can get out of it easier. It goes straight down. There's no curve on the bottom or the top. The stairlift has taken away some of the width of the stairwell, which is understandable. For me, it's great because if I have to bring anything up or down, a lot of times, I'll just put it on my lap, and down me and the outfit both go. As far as I'm concerned, it's great all the way around. What I like is when I get down to the bottom of my steps on the landing or in the basement, I can press the footrest and it comes up, and then I can get out of it very easily. I don't turn it when I'm down in the basement at all, but I do when I come upstairs because then I'll turn it facing the door for me to get out of the area easier. It then turns away from the footrest, and I can just leave it as is.

As far as I can tell right now, the stairlift is very high quality. It’s made my life so much easier because my shower is down there, so down I go for my shower. If I have a lot of different things that I wanna bring to the basement, I can put them on the chair and have it go down with the remote. Then I can just take my time going down the stairs and then take it off. This way, I'm not carrying anything because they do have a railing there that’s not interfering with the chair. It might be a little too cumbersome for me to just put on my lap and both of us go down on the chair. I can just put the product on the chair and send it down.

    Arrow Lift response

    Hi Dennis,

Great feedback! We’re glad to know that you are happy with your Arrow Lift stair lift and pleased to know that it has provided you with access to your basement and shower. We’re also glad that you’ve been able to move items from one floor to another with your stair lift and that you can still use your basement door.

Arrow Lift had a showroom in a suburb two doors away from us. We called the salesman and he came. He was wonderful. We set it up and they put the stairlift in. The fellow who installed it was fabulous. We have not had a single problem and we are going to move and they said they would come, disassemble it, and take it for free. Where we are moving, I will call them and they will install it or break it down and put it in our new house. I would recommend it to anyone.

Arrow Lift had someone local they could send to us and they were very eager to help us. The reps were very good. We had to have the area extended because we had to take out a part of the floor because we had to be able to wheel his chair directly to it without having to walk up the steps. The techs did that. The only issue is that the rail at the top of the stairs is three inches too long. The chair doesn't go all the way to the top and the rail pokes out. That keeps the door from opening a little more. But we're in the process of getting a patio door installed Also, the lift is a little slow. 20 seconds is a long time for 9 stairs.

I love Arrow Lift. The quality of the stairlift is excellent. It's made my life very easy over the past five years because my legs are crippled. I'm glad I had the stairlift put in. They also come and service it once a year. They make sure everything's okay. They also replaced the batteries at no cost.

My wife is disabled, and we needed a stairlift to go up and down the stairs. I compared Arrow Lift to other brands and that was the best brand. The sales rep came to the home, but I already ordered over the phone. I knew what I wanted before I even called up. Installation was a two-hour job, and the guy was very friendly. The stairlift goes from my entrance in the back to my basement, and we use it at least three times a week. I use it to put my groceries on, taking them down, and then for soda and for laundry. I love the stairlift. In fact, I recommend it to other people. The stuff you get from the HME are junk. I've got a business and that's another reason why I got the stairlift. A number of my clients have been using it, and they are asking what the price is. They're planning on buying one themselves.

My wife said the sales rep was knowledgeable and helped us. She also said that the other company we looked at, the rail where the chair runs on was up and open, so all the dirt could get in there, but with Arrow Lift, it is closed. Also, when we did more inquiring about the other company, they didn't have a repair service, and Arrow does.

During the installation, any question that I asked, the installer answered and explained everything to me. So I would definitely recommend it to anybody. The chairlift is very handy. My wife can go up and down the stairs and up and down into the basement now to get me when I'm down in the basement. Even when the wife is downstairs, if she has something heavy where she got to carry it upstairs, she sets it on the chairlift and puts it up. I'm very satisfied.
