    So far the technician and the sales agent were great, and the security is better than our previous company. However, so far the camera for the backyard just doesn't work, and the other cameras take a long time to load so I can't really watch in real time, and the rewind feature doesn't work either. So better security, but worse service.

    Vivint has a door to door sales call program - we were engaged by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but not hard sell, salesperson that explained the service thoroughly which aided us in deciding to engage a 24/7 security monitoring service. The service and options were explained and our questions were answered to our satisfaction.

    Installation occurred on the same day and as with the Sales experience it was done with professionalism and an eye for to make sure the system did not "clutter" up our home. This home is over 100 years old and provided some challenges, but they were overcome with ease and a great attitude. Overall the experience was great.

    Both salesman and technician were very professional and knowledgeable about their products. Only suggestions I have for either would for the salesman, make sure the equipment you are purchasing will fit before having the technician come out and let the homeowners know there will be wires showing due to having some equipment plugged on. For the technicians I would recommend having them make sure all equipment is level after installation. These are super minor and I am very satisfied with the service I received. Just some thoughts though.

    They lied to me and had me stuck with $3000 worth of equipment. I had to file a complaint with the Attorney General of my state to get them to back off and cancel the rest of the "loan". They never gave me a refund but they will also never get another penny or of me.

    Vivint is a scam and a rip off! Said I had a three free trial and I could cancel. I'm 2 weeks in cancelation and have got nowhere! Bills coming in no problem tho. Hooked me for just over 10,000 dollars for a contract I'm still working to get out of! I've contacted the BBB trying to get the matter resolved. Don't even let them in your yard!

    Both the salesman as well as the installer were just amazing, so respectful and kind. I didn't even want a security system but now I have one and I feel so much safer. Within 5 hours I had all the information possible (even my conspiracy theory questions) and purchased and installed my system.

    AVOID this company at all costs. If you move during the contract, they will NOT cancel it, regardless of what they tell you over the phone. I paid off all the equipment early and was told they would put my account on hold until the new owner contacted the company and took it over. Keep in mind... I have paid off ALL equipment early from Fortiva, and I am caught up on monthly contract charges with Vivint. They are now charging me for a service they were handling at an old address. I attempted to contact their customer service, and I got transferred around for 45 minutes and was NOT allowed to speak to a supervisor or anyone who could help waive their mistake. I am now stuck in limbo while they rack up more monthly installments for ZERO service to the customer and very, very poor interaction with customer service. Go anywhere else... Try anyone else... Just don't make the same mistake by trusting this company with SECURITY. It's a scam.

    These guys were absolutely amazing. I have a 6 year old who loves to be center of attention. Each of the guys were wonderful with her. My 6 year old really took a liking to Briggs and he was just amazing with her. The installation guy has been amazing as well, allowing my 6 year old to be his assistant. If you're looking for a team that will help you out financially with a security system, who will treat you like family and make sure you get the best package for you, this is it.

    I would give this company no stars if I could. My first home had this system that I got with the house, so I transfered the previous owners service to my name, I then lived in the house for 6 years but just because I updated the service in the middle of that time frame they put me into another contract. I had the equipment paid off way early. I have since moved out of that house for 1.5 years and they are still charging me for that address because of the dumb contract. Now my new address has the same system (against my better judgement) so now I have to pay for 2 addresses. Such a waste. Not to mention the quailty is terrible. I've seen better with cheap cameras on Amazon. I will spend my days making sure whoever asks me about Vivint, to never get it. It's not worth it.

    You should be very concerned about your sales tactics. Your sales people provide false information, and when confronted can’t even explain what they are doing. I got a verbal price on the equipment, only to be asked to sign something that said it was 2l higher and when I questioned nobody could provide an explanation. When I cancelled they miraculously agreed to lower equipment costs by 1200 but told me the monthly payment would remain the same!!! Nobody ever spoke to terms (5 YRS) which puts the cost at over 10k. That was absolutely ludricous.

    Only one day in and just getting comfortable with the system so Vivint should check in with us in a few months. But feel kind of excited and reassured my home and family is more secure when I am away which is what I was after.     First off, we got equipment, then they said they were no longer going to support that equipment and were trying to force us to pay to upgrade, we declined. Next, they continue to send solicitors to our door, despite us already having the service, and we have No Solicitor signs in the neighborhood. The final straw was that because they wouldn't continue to support the original equipment they sold us, they called us in the middle of the night claiming our alarm went off, when we never even set the alarm.

    So we call to cancel. I follow their phone menu selections to get to Cancellation, but upon speaking with the person, they clearly route all Cancellations to Sales, because he tries to sell me upgrades, or lower my monthly payment to get me to stay. When I declined all of that, I'm put on hold for an hour before someone from cancellations actually picks up. Then, when I say I want to go ahead and cancel, they route me to Collections, to pay my early cancellation fee. Once cancellations picks up, they are confused, asking how much I am wanting to pay, since I have a zero balance.

    When I say it's for my early cancellation fee, collections sends me back to a different group. I've been on the phone for an hour and 20 minutes at this point, and each time they cancel, I provide my address, my secret password, the phone number and primary name on the account (my wife). Finally, the person at cancellations takes my info again, only to tell me that only the primary name can cancel. Absolutely horrendous customer service, deliberately making it as difficult to cancel as possible.

    Since I was with a subcontractor through Brinks, which I regret, I signed up with Vivinit. I had 37 months left on my contract with Skyline and had no true security with them. My salesman gave me a 30-day trial instead of the normal 72 hours, which helped me make the decision to go with it. While going through the signing part, I inquired about swapping out my front door lock. Being that I had already signed the buyers pricing section, I asked if the price was going to change. His response was, "No, it'll stay the same." But after the system was installed, I had to okay the final amount of it with the installer. This is where, my problem started and knew that I couldn't trust them as the price was over $200 higher than it was supposed to be. The installer guessed and said it's probably the tax that wasn't added into the total. But it wasn't. It was for the door lock, which I could have bought at a local store for less.

    The equipment is very nice and the installment was seamless. The only issue I have is that I was not fully informed of the total cost of the equipment, or the length of the payments. It was very upsetting to learn everything AFTER the equipment was installed and I had to sign for the technician to leave. I will keep the system because I do feel safer, but not informing your clients and instead tricking them (or not giving them the full picture) is completely unethical. Thank you.

    I reached out to Vivint on April 2, 2026 to have a new security system installed and was scheduled for April 29 between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. On April 3, I was charged the $99 deposit. The day before the installation, on April 28, I was told no technician was available and was rescheduled for May 6. The evening before that appointment, it was cancelled again and moved to May 20. The day before the May 20 appointment, I was contacted yet again to reschedule. After three last‑minute cancellations, I requested a refund of my deposit and informed Vivint that I would be seeking another company for my security needs. This experience was extremely inconvenient and disappointing.

    The salesperson Alaina was kind and not pushy. She answered my questions, and any she could not, she found out. They were able to install the same day. Our installer, Jayson was exceptional. He was knowledgeable, offered solutions to any tricky things that came up, and was efficient. I wish every tech was as competent as he is.     Salesperson lies upfront in regards of how much you equipment cost. If you are approved for 6k they will sell the equipment couple of hundred dollars shy of what you were approved for. Neighbor got two cameras and was a couple of hundred dollars less than my bill. Salesperson stated that the cost of my equipment was $3,500 before signing anything then after everything it was $5,700. She also stated that installation would be waived. Then the added to the bill after everything was signed.

    Not a bad experience. I was a bit taken back by the lack of "branding" of the Vivint staff. The salesman was in a t-shirt and flip flops and the installer displayed no Vivint branding. Almost made me feel like they didn't represent the company at first. The installer said he had ADHD and was "bouncing" all over the house. Pretty clumsy and chatty... Fast talker!

    I am excited to be able to have Vivint. I have heard nothing but good about them. The only reason I gave a four-star review is because the call centers were nothing but horrible to work with. We had a few really great people that we talk to, and then we had someone had no idea what they’re doing. They gave me a contract with the price I would pay and the day of service. I got another email that had a higher price than I was quoted. I was on the phone for two hours trying to get it fixed. The guy who helped me with this was absolutely amazing. Our technician was incredibly knowledgeable and super helpful.

    Experience was very good. I had Jason as my tech. He was very friendly and informative. He also asked me where I would like my equipment placed and gave his honest opinion on where things could go or workout better. 10/10 experience. Camera quality 👌🏽. Only downside is the equipment is a little pricey. Once it's paid off you can keep it and when you move you can take it with you and have it set up at new location. So that is a plus.

    The installation of all devices went well. There is one major issue I am facing as the installer has to use a drill and grind out the hole where the door connects to the frame and closes. I have had a few times where I am not able to turn the lock from the inside to close door. This will be an issue if I remotely send a close signal and have to always manually close door. With a quick review of repair cost of just the door frame I’m a little frustrated in what I am faced to pay out of pocket to repair/replace. Not happy at all at the moment. Hopefully I can find an affordable repair service soon. I just want the door to close without any issues at all!

    I was prepared for this appointment to be annoying at the very least because it was part of a perk for renewing with my energy company. The Vivint representative, Jacob ** changed my mind quickly. He was professional, knowledgeable, respectful, personable, NO HIGH PRESSURE SALES PITCH and most importantly...he was patient with our senior citizen low tech skills. The package and price was competitive, but Jacob is the main reason we signed the contract.

    We NEVER make these type decisions without researching the company but Jacob's level of customer service made the difference. We will be referring friends and family to Vivint because of Jacob. I don't normally enjoy these type of appointments but again...Jacob was a real blessing. I give him 20 stars on a scale of 1 to 5!! We owned a residential service company for years and we know the value of top notch associates. Give this special young man a raise because he makes your company shine as a cut above the rest!!!

    I do not recommend this company. Not only are they expensive, but they want money for not providing service. We moved, called in to cancel, disconnected the system and it was not reconnected at the new address (never gave them my new address). After 2 months, they started to bill us again for the old address. The supervisor had the gall to tell me they did me a favor for not billing for 2 months. But explain to me, what are they billing me for? The bill is to be billed for services provided. There was no services provided, no monitoring, I did not provide them my new address.

    They started sending me bills for NOT monitoring my home, as I am not at my old address. If the system was not reinstalled, how can you monitor my home, that I did not provide address to? So then what are you charging me for? Do not go with this company. They drop calls on you, do not answer their emails, say they do not have my call to cancel on record and then want free money just because they said so. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

    Although my technician review was an overall good experience, my overall review felt like a scam. They roped me in offering two cameras and a doorbell camera with the smart thermostat and all the sensors. I agreed and paid their service charge, they then decided to take the 2 cameras off my purchase and tell me it was never a part of the original package. They tried to find the recording of the actual phone call that took place but they said it was lost even though it had just happened 30 minutes prior. So all in all I got my doorbell camera and a smart thermostat and a very nice and professional tech to come to the house. The scam to get me to buy it was unprofessional and I will not be referring anyone to this company.

Well today they told me to meet me at my old house at 4:30. I show and sign everything. They told me the tech would be there in 20 minutes. About 30 minutes go by and then I get told a new tech was assigned and would be there in 15 minutes. The sales rep left and I continued to wait till around 5:45 almost 6.

    The tech was on the phone with his girlfriend the whole time he was installing the system. Around 8:30 I tell them I have to go, because I have my kids and need to get them home to shower and feed them. At this point I’m told “when will you set up the WiFi?” I said I won’t have it. Then I’m told well you can’t monitor the system without WiFi. I told them this was the whole reason I went ahead and got this was because I was told you don’t need WiFi!!! $2300 and all I get is told “oh I’m so sorry, I just found this out right now.”

    This is truly unacceptable and misleading!! I feel like I was lied to and straight out misled by the sales rep. As for them I asked if they could come back and finish, they said we’re almost done. I didn’t have time to wait so I left two stranger in my house and was not present. So not only did I not get shown anything on the “new system” but now I’m hoping they lock up everything and hope nothing is taken. I reached out the supervisor Mitch ** and was sent to voicemail. I will forwarding this review as a text. I am very disappointed and DO NOT recommend them as they are not honest or knowledgeable on their own products!!!

    Sales sold me on the options, easy and painless finance terms and before I could ask when they would install, the technician was at my porch. I have to say I was very impressed and pleased with my experience and I would highly recommend Vivint

    DO NOT USE VIVINT!!! Overpriced equipment that fails pretty quickly. They do nothing to help you but sell you new OVERPRICED equipment!! If you get a tech to come out, all they try and do is sell you more OVERPRICED equipment and tell you everything you have is outdated and you need to buy upgraded equipment.

    Try and cancel? Good luck with that!!! I was with this crap company for almost eight years and to cancel was like an act of congress, then you still have to pay for service while they take their time trying to decide if they will let you cancel or not. If approved, it is a 30 day process to make the cancellation official. Meaning you are paying for service for over 30 days more from the time you request the cancellation!!! What a joke of a company and a BS cancellation process!!!

    Great product. I already like the old one we had. We are a customer since 2020! My equipment got upgraded to a new line this time with a two outdoors camera video. I also have a new Ring camera and a new panel. The most exciting part is I’m looking forward to their new 24 /7 surveillance camera. I will definitely love this new version of Vivint.

    Tech was scheduled to be there between 0900hrs and 1000hrs. Arrived like 1100hrs. Didn't wrap up till like 1930 hrs. Still couldn't install garage door unit, which was one of the reasons I left Guardian for y'all! Left used parts all over the house. Poor hygiene, kept scratching himself. Not good if I were a female customer.

    Easy install, everything's working perfectly, and no complaints. Shout out to our installer Aaron. Walked me through the whole process and even when we had to switch from my husband who's at work to me for the authorization and install, that was an easy hurdle to get over too. Overall positive experience!

    Jordan was a great salesperson and got me a much better security system for the same price we were paying for ADT. He was convincing professional and really knew the ins and outs of the system.     I am dissatisfied with the new installment and I'm thinking about going back to ADT. I sent a review a day ago and no one has reached out to me and no one has contacted me to discuss the $500 payment due to ADT. The customer service is horrible. I need someone to call me to discuss the items that were missed. For example, the back door is missing an alarm panel.

    Vivint is not a good company to get your security monitoring from. When you need support they try to sell you on upgrades and then encourage you to buy the protection plan so that anything that malfunctions or is not working will be replaced, but that is not true. They just restart the equipment and then if it works for 5 minutes they will not replace anything saying it’s working now. They are over priced and shady to do business with.

    Clean up after installation, troubleshooting, and fixing all Vivint inoperable equipment (i.e., smoke detector not registering on system panel.) I have not received contact from service support on how to fix the issue!

    This company is a mess. Offered 3 day free trial. Tried to cancel that trial. Had to be put on hold multiple times for 45 mins just to be transferred to a different department. Finally I just closed out my banking account so no further payment are taken.

    Everything was explained very clearly and concisely. The equipment is user-friendly and everything so far is so good. I was shocked that we had it installed same day. The technician that came out did a great job and cleaned up after himself. Then the salesman stop by later on that day to make sure we knew how to use everything and we're happy with how the installation went. Really great customer service.

    We already had an alarm system for our home. Zack was pleasant and simply shared Vivint’s qualities, which I soon realized superseded our current system. I invited him inside to learn more. We signed with Vivint and I am very pleased. The cameras are far better and they run 24/7, unlike our previous alarm company. I am a happy customer… I would highly recommend them.

    Peyton was respectful from the start. When I asked him to come back the following day he did! He asked what I was looking for and found me a plan and way to move to a better security system than I had. The installer Chris was very pleasant, knowledgeable and fast! He explained everything he needed to do and made sure I was ok with it. I have a more secure home in one day! Thanks!

    Jean and his team installed a home security system at our home. I was skeptical at first but after the presentation my wife and I decided to go ahead and have one installed.     Although the tech was here late he did a great job. He even called in reinforcements to help get it done faster. They were quick and professional and were just all around some cool dudes. The camera views are great and better than ADT as promised so me and my family are satisfied. Also Kevin the sales rep is a great sales rep. Keep him around forever!
