My technician Tony is as great and very informative.

The phone rep was very helpful and professional when setting up my install date. And the service rep asked us for placements and helped us understand our system, he was extremely professional and kind.

Should have done my research, if we had we would not have made this purchase. We were told if we didn’t want our system monitored all we had to do is make one phone call, not true at all. We called three times and each time talked to a person whose English was so poor we could not understand most of what they said. They also were reading from a script as each said the exact same thing and kept repeating. Each refused to cancel monitoring our system, transfer us to a supervisor or give their name. After telling the third we would cancel our purchase and have our credit card bank cancel payment we were placed on hold for several minutes. We were then told monitoring was canceled but she would not provide proof with a email. We are considering canceling the entire purchase which probably be next to impossible based on our experiences so far. We hope our review helps someone considering Vivint.

John was very professional and supplied me with the necessary help and information I needed with my system.

Overpriced. Poor installation. Salesman, Jordan was charming. But, I probably should have asked more detailed questions. How can the hardware be priced $4,000? A comparable system from Best Buy is under $500. I'm a bit mystified on what extra value I'm receiving.

Selvin ** my installation technician that came to my house to set up. Did an excellent job from the beginning all the way to the end. He was very knowledgeable and helpful and made sure that we understood all of the steps to manage the system before he left. His expertise made the process smooth.

After meeting installer Ryan for the first time today. He was very professional, prompt and very knowledgeable in taking time to explain the process and all the details of the alarm system.

Nick ** was so patient helping me unfreeze my credit report, helping me find equipment that suited my needs and finally helping me contact Fortiva for financing. Jeremy showed up on time for installation and explained everything in a way I understood before he left. Immediately after install nick came by again to make sure I was satisfied. Give these guys a raise!!!

During my Installation Davis was extremely professional and knowledgeable of what he was doing. We ran into a few problems but he was able to get everything situated and handled with ease. It was his demeanor that made me want to see getting it installed through.

The associated was really nice explaining to me everything good.

BIGGEST SCAM!!! This has been one of the most dishonest and frustrating experiences I’ve dealt with. The sales rep who came to my home made promises he clearly had no authority to make—specifically that my ADT contract would be bought out and that my monthly rate would be $25. I was also told I wouldn’t need any equipment since I already had cameras.

Louise was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and convincing, I wasn't intending to sign up for Vivint yesterday, but at a later date, and she convinced me to invest now. The installer was professional, quick, and friendly, I forgot his name, but he helped a lot.

It seems fine initially, but it’s extremely pricey for what you get. Their equipment isn’t any better than Ring but it is a whole lot more expensive with long contract terms. Their equipment breaks down over time and you’re only option is the pay to have a professional installer come out and service or replace it. I would not recommend using Vivint!

We had a most wonderful experience with Vivint yesterday. We had been thinking about setting up security cameras for a while now and weren’t sure which company to go with. It just so happened that Derreck and his crew from Vivint, were in our neighborhood offering an amazing special. Their offer was too good to pass up, plus I really liked how he explained everything. Later that night he had a tech come out and install our cameras. Really fast service. The cameras are also such good quality and the keypad is very user friendly. Thanks again guys!

The customer service people from Vivint that I talked with today were very helpful and very professional with me. They made sure I understood everything I needed to know.

I wouldn’t recommend this company. I cancel my service with them to go with another company since October and unfortunately they are still charging me. I’ve had to call like six times and they still can’t promise what they’re telling me they’re going to do. They transferred you to different supposedly supervisors and then they transfer you to other departments. They owe me over 200 and something dollars and I still can’t get my credit to my account and they are telling me they have to review calls. Yesterday they promised me they would call me back before 4:30 our time and yet no call back from this gentleman. This is the most unprofessional company that I’ve ever dealt with.

Vivint installation specialist Marquese ** was very professional. He was very knowledgeable of all equipment and its functions. He was able to answer various questions about the equipment he installed. I would definitely recommend Vivint to other families that are looking for great home security and safety will definitely use them again in the future if needed.

At first just little problems. Now live rarely works, Never works on 5g when away from home. Has gone from 55.00 a month to 83.00.

The rep took his time to explain everything. He went over each of the equipment that was being installed and was very careful installing the cameras.

The installation technician was very knowledgeable, friendly, and fast-working. He installed the system and was leaving with an extra hour remaining from his estimated time of completion.

I would leave zero but not an option. It took 3 months to get a service tech out to repair my system. I called 3 times, sent 4 emails, each call involves being on the phone well over 40 minutes. And still, they WOULD NOT SEND A TECH, and the kicker is..I pay EXTRA for that. So no cameras since Jan 16, 2026. Today is April 14th 2026, AND FINALLY, VIVINT IS SENDING REPAIR, on top of paying for service and not having it, I also have to miss work to wait for a tech. So much for being a valued customer...

I have already had positive results with Vivint on another home which is why I had it installed on this home. Their products and customer service are excellent.

When I first contacted Vivint they were too pricey as far as the down payment and monthly rate. So I decided not to go with them, Representatives called still trying to get my business, again I said no. A few days later I guess they were doing a "promotion" in the area and the supervisor tells me I didn't have to put nothing down, I was fine with that and my monthly payments was affordable. So I decided to do it. They installed the cameras and ring camera. However it took the installer several hours to come and install. I understood he was extremely busy and still had another install after me. It was already after 9:00p.m. Other than all of that I'm satisfied with the installation.

Looks much better than my old, issue with battery error but was resolved.

Alberto, our sales guy was thorough explaining service, install & equipment. He addressed all of our concerns regarding the benefits of self monitoring vs. monthly service. Alberto is passionate about what he does & his actions back up his presentation. Install happened same day by Zeke who was not only thorough & professional but also gracious & kind. Zeke explained the app & how to with equipment well before leaving.

The support we received from Erick was outstanding. He was extremely professional, courteous, and attentive throughout the entire process. Erick made us feel genuinely valued and took the time to ensure all our questions were addressed promptly and clearly. His dedication to excellent service truly stood out—we especially appreciate the extra effort he put in, working long hours to ensure we received a complete delivery with the highest standards.

I wasn’t going to write a review. I have had my system for approximately a year now. Been having problems after problems. Cannot get Vivint to fix problems but they have NO PROBLEM taking their payment EVERY month!!!!

The tech Jeffrey was so great professional and did such a good job. At one point he had to call some sort of support that wanted me to agree to lease the equipment and pay more for it which was strange, but Jeffrey stepped in and handled things so that the cost was correct.

Haven't used the system for over a year, been trying to cancel it, when I thought the contract, that I had, was done, but, they said I had a few more months... so I decided to wait, and now, been jumping thru hoops to cancel it, and been trying to cancel it for over an hour.... got hung up once.... and still trying to keep me as a customer, and told them, I AM DEAD SET ON CANCELING, AND still keeps trying, then transferring me AGAIN, and Again... WTF? DONE DONE...

Great service and fast installation! They were very knowledgeable of the products and made me feel involved in the placement of everything.

Do not trust this company with your security. Aside from the constant frustration with the equipment and the app, there are some serious ethics concerns with this company. One of their sales reps came to my house to sleep with my wife and was complicit in her unplugging the security panel in the hopes that I wouldn't see her sneak him into the house for three and a half hours. I reported him to their ethics department, and they've done nothing since it was reported on Mar 22, 2026, it's now Apr 8th.

Tech was very informational, advised us of all the fixes for the issues we were having upon installation.

I paid too much for the monitoring equipment that I rarely used. After 6 years I tried to just cancel my service and was told I was locked into an additional 3 years for agreeing to get 3 months free, which I never did agree to and they never could prove that I did. Still had me pay for the 3 months in order to cancel my service. Terrible customer service!!!

The worst company so far. Never let into your house. They are trained to tell lies and manipulate customers into buying their services. The worst company I have had to deal with. Please run when you see them.

I was in a high risk situation - older woman living alone in a two-story condo with a broken sliding glass door. I called Vivint at 10:00 a.m. and by 4:00 p.m. Vivint installer Mark was at my door and installed my security system. My experience with Vivint from start to finish was outstanding starting with John the first line of contact to the installer Mark. I'm not tech savvy. However, the Vivint home security system with cameras and ring doorbell is easy to use, very user friendly. Something that even I can handle. I highly recommend Vivint security for their business ethic and compassionate service.

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough that I feel others should know what to expect. I recently had Vivint uninstall my system, and the condition they left my home in was completely unacceptable. They removed equipment but left exposed wiring coming through an exterior wall, along with a hole that now goes directly from the outside into my home, a clear security and weather risk.

From the salesman to the installers, everyone was fantastic. I had the service sold and installed the same day, which was incredibly convenient. The sense of security I now have in my home is amazing. Thank you to the whole team for taking such great care of me and my family.

Misleading on charges. When things go wrong with their equipment I had to pay them $100 to come out to repair at that time. I wanna have the system for two months. And if you disagree with the charges, they were go in your bank account and take it anyway.

I had a nice technician arrive to install the system. He reviewed my property & made several thoughtful suggestions then worked diligently to install the cameras & sensors. Very polite. I think he did a great job.

We are very pleased with Vivint. We originally had SimpliSafe before and we were not happy with how their system worked. Vivint blows them out of the water. We love the touchpad control panel and all of the options that Vivint provides. We like the fact that you can turn on “deter” and a spotlight can follow the person trespassing on your property and send an alert tone. There’s so many cool features. The installation was easy and stress-free.

I just had service installed. It seems to be very easy to use and provides what I need. Jacob was amazing at installing things and explaining everything very well in a way I could fully understand.

My entire experience with getting services started with Vivint was nothing less than amazing, including customer service and installation. Javier was professional, knowledgeable and quick with getting the equipment set up.

I have their security system for my home but I also have a ring doorbell. I am harassed every 6 months by Vivint about my security system. People asking me why I have a ring doorbell and Vivint. I told them it's none of their business. Who the hell are you to come up to someone's house and ask them about their security system and to stop bothering me. I had to file a police report and cannot cancel my service with them due to their 5-year contract.

Our technician Evan was absolutely GREAT!! After a mixup he came back and set us up!

During installation, the technician drilled cables through my exterior walls without informing me beforehand. I was told the system was wireless. Had I known drilling would be required, I would have had the opportunity to ask questions and make an informed decision. After the installation was complete, the crew left without cleaning up. There was sawdust on my carpet and paint scratches where the wiring was run. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt at the time and did not pursue the matter, thinking perhaps I should have asked more questions upfront. I now realize that is not on me.

I had a great experience with Vivint, especially the support I received from Victor, Roger, and Amari. Their professionalism and attention to detail really stood out. They took the time to walk me through the entire installation process, explained all the features clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable using the system before they left.

Our tech, Ian was fantastic! He was clean, organized, swift and a gentleman. Give that man a raise!

Riche was very good at getting our system hooked up and very professional. He didn’t take long to complete his work.

Ultimately, my Vivint experience turned out great. Getting there was painful. The 1st installation technician showed up at my door at the appointment time, we said good morning, then he just drove off without saying anything else. I was confused and dumbfounded. He then reported to the company that I refused installation. 5 days later, several phone calls, and a need to re-contract and reschedule, the installation was completed. The 2nd technician was wonderful. Absolutely no problems. Because of him. I'm a happy customer, finally!!

Vivint will scam you out of money! Their customer service is an absolute joke and a scam! I attempted to cancel my service after over 2 hours on a phone call and got nowhere! They were basically refusing to cancel my service and gave me the runaround for three more months as they continue to charge my bank account! Beware! Beware!

Bryan did not hesitate to explain everything plainly to my wife and I regarding any concerns or questions we had about the equipment and how to properly handle the panel and VIVINT application alike. Brian was very professional, communicative, and friendly during the entire installation process. Ensuring our ease of minds while giving us the utmost confidence in our purchase along the way. I will go out of my way to recommend VIVINT’s services and products BECAUSE of Brian **'s professionalism in the industry. Promote this man immediately (Unless he doesn’t want it). 😉

The company is fine as long as everything is working, but when you need repairs, get ready to be without your system for a month or two. The representative told us they do not have enough service people to service the area they sell to. They are very strong to constantly call you to upgrade and purchase more, but it seems to be a problem when you just won’t the equipment you have to work properly. We are currently waiting one month without service to get our equipment repaired by a certified technician that we pay a month monthly fee for. I highly suggest you buy from another company.

The technician arrived late for the scheduled appointment, behaved unprofessionally, and left the work incomplete. I purchased this service through Costco and did not expect such a disappointing experience. I have attempted to contact customer service, but have been unable to reach anyone. At this point, I am unsure who to contact or how the installation will be completed. Overall, this has been a very poor and frustrating experience.

Zane was very prompt, very polite, very detailed oriented and explained everything before and during the setup and installation process as well as answering any questions I had prior to his departure.

I have had them for almost 3 years and am moving from my current location. I do not want their service anymore. I do not feel that there is any benefit of their so called "home monitoring" to justify a $60.69 monthly monitoring fee. After 55 minutes and 5 different individuals I was told that I would have to pay them $1959.23 to stop my contract. There is no benefit for having this company and strongly recommend not getting sucked into their extreme price of equipment and monthly fees. I would strongly recommend not doing business with this company.

Rep was very nice and did everything he could to get us into our price range. Friendly and fast set up.

Set up took a little over an hour, including with explanation on what was being done, confirming on where devices would go and then how to utilize the app. Phil was professional, friendly and patient with ensuring I understood how to use the app and ensuring I understood all protocols and procedures before leaving.

I like Vivid home security because I know it helps keep my and me safe.

Sales rep and tech guys were great. They explained the new system the issues we were having with some of the old system. They answered all our questions. Very professional. This is the reason we switched and continue with Vivint.

Vivint has rightly earned their horrible reputation for customer service, pressure sale tactics and incompetent employees. The billing department is despicable and employs harassment techniques on a regular basis. NEVER agree to direct bill. DO NOT ever give them a credit card to automatically charge. Every billing cycle your agreed upon monthly service fee changes. New unexplainable charges/fees are added on without warning or explanation. Within 24 hours of my billing cycle end date, Vivint begins calling you saying your account is overdue! YES, 24 hours. Good luck trying to resolve differences, the average employee in billing is foreign with very poor English and no ability to understand the issue.

When we contacted Vivint. The salesperson was very helpful in helping me select the right package. The tech who installed the alarm system was very professional and was very good at explaining everything to us. For getting the system set up and at this point I would highly recommend Vivint.

Jordan & Ben both did a great job helping me get my new install set up and done in a timely manner. Both very professional & friendly guys. Had somewhat of a difficult time putting in the initial order after being passed around by 2 different people. Once Jordan texted me, things fell in to place quickly. I am posting this because I have had Vivint in the past and let it go for price reasons. Now I gave them a second chance because the price was I would say too good to be true and now I can't even get an answer back. The techs hooked up my panel and took off without hooking up the cameras to the system damn this world is something else. The lazy no good work people can do and get away with.

Good company, great products, just wish they'd cut down on the upselling. I called about an issue and after assisting me, each person I was transferred to tried to get me to upgrade my doorbell. I'm not opposed to them asking because sometimes maybe there's a product I didn't know about, but they should have a flag on my account that keeps track of what they offered me and when, so that they don't do it too often.

My tech was extremely knowledgeable about all of the equipment. He was efficient in install and we had an issue with a spotlight but he fixed it and finished the job! I love all of the things that Vivint provides and how easy it is to operate straight from my phone. I would recommend it to anyone to get.

I switched from ADT to Vivint after salesman that sold me ADT came back and suggested I go with Viiant. He was a pro and seemed to be honest. I noticed a difference in the quality of monitoring and cameras but it was cheaper, so! Then in 2023, I decided to move out of my home to another state so I called to cancel Vivint. They would NOT let me cancel and instead put me on a deferment for 12 months.

The system was good, but the customer service was awful. I tried to pay online, but the agent hung on me and said the line was too busy with complaints. I called the agent who sold me the system. He said it is what it is, too busy for customer complaints. I’m only 2 months in. Definitely not world class service. I spent two hours to make a simple payment. I called the manager sales rep for help. He hung up on me and said payments are done over the phone by AI. Wow, not the charming person who said call him anytime. So disappointed customer. Nightmare. Please stay clear!

Installer was knowledgeable and very friendly. Answered all of my questions and showed me all the things that the system will do. Helped setup the app and showed me how to use all the features on the panel.

I was impressed with the young man who came to my door to offer the doorbell camera, which I had been thinking about getting anyway. However, all I wanted was a doorbell camera but somehow I ended up with a package that cost me several thousands. I told the installer that I didn’t want all of the extra cameras around my house so he took away the equipment. I thought they would take that off of my bill but nothing changed. I have tried contacting Vivint with the business card ai had from the sales guy but there is no response. The doorbell camera works great but….DON'T LET THEM OVERSELL YOU!!!

So far so good. We just got the system installed today. Stephan was professional and courteous though. I appreciated his professionalism and respect when it came to our time and space. We will see how the system is in the upcoming weeks.

A Vivint employee was walking our neighborhood. Next thing I know we are getting new cameras and alarm system. So far I am very pleased with the system. Easy to operate and understand. Our old system you had to enter a code to leave and enter. Vivint you don't have to enter codes as often. The young man that sold us the program was polite, understanding, and explained the what was involved. The young man who installed our system was fantastic. He didn't start till 6pm, said he'd be done in2-3 hrs. 4 hrs later, no food, no breaks, and still going strong. I felt so bad for him, told him to come back tomorrow. Wasn't happening. Two days later we have some questions. Our salesman stopped by on his way to another appointment. Still patiently answering our questions. Had to call Vivint, couldn't get app to work. They are in the process of fixing our problem. Three days now, so far very impressed with encounters of all employees!!

I like the clear visibility but the connection keeps disconnecting and the door is not locking or unlocking sometimes. I am hoping that it gets updated quickly because it will not serve me any purpose if I cannot get In and out without keys.

Great service, timely and professional- Oscar and Eric are great- both very knowledgeable of their product and able to answer all our questions. Both took time to explain equipment- its operational purpose and what each component contributes to the system as a whole. They were patient and friendly. We reviewed the product for our home, signed a contract and had our entire system set up complete with indoor and other access control in the same day! If you seek smart home options, I highly recommend speaking with Oscar ** and also recommend Eric ** for installation. Reasonable pricing! Many Thanks to Vivint, they’re lucky to have both of these guys.

A gentleman came to our door and explained what the company had to offer. We instantly felt it was needed for our home. Luckily we were able to get same day service. So far I love the products! The best part is that it is transferable across the US so if we move we can get the system moved with us!

Had an unexpected knock at the door and when I answered a nice young man in a black Vivint polo was at the door. After agreeing to listen to his sales pitch I agreed to sign up for Vivint. The installation team was in the area and were here in less than 30 minutes. Another very nice young man arrived ready to work. Very polite and professional. I heard a lot of “yes sir” to my questions. Work ethic, skill and conversation. Had a great experience all the way around. And now we have a much upgraded security system to boot. Great experience all the way around.
