The technician did a great job and had a lot of information. I also am very impressed with the system and the quality so far. I feel a lot more secure in my house. I also like the new cameras and the door bell. It is very clear and the motion lights are impressive.

Hi! I have a Vivint system that was installed and everything that was provided to me was all lies. Sincerely I don’t recommend this company at all. Every time I call first very hard to understand them…. Very hard to get a manager on the line. Very rude customer service team. They have no respect and no loyalty whatsoever. I was told that I was getting so many cameras, so many sensors and motion, etc. and that didn’t happened. I’m still missing a camera that never received. Every month is a problem with my payments. Every month I’ve been charged a different amount so I had to cancel my credit card. And filed two fraudulent claims. Then I started paying thru my bank eBill and for whatever reason my payments were posted late and being charged late fees.
Then my November payment got lost and after 2 weeks I placed a stop payment while on a three way call with my bank and my bank rep notified Vivint to notate acct. Not to cash the check. So I made a credit card payment and told rep to make sure my card was not saved on the account. Well 1.5 months later the check was deposited by Vivint and a late fee was charged. So now my payment got reversed because of the stop payment. But the audacity of notating my acct that my December payment is past due when a credit card payment was made when stop payment was made. Please look some where else to get services…. Vivint is Not a good company and they will still from you. This is the worse company ever! Issues with my billing got worse in August of last year!

Jonas was a great Technician!!! Thank you so much for all the help!! Really great at his job and installed everything to look sleek and professional. He explained everything on how to use the app and the panel! We love our new system and feel so much safer! I would recommend him as a technician for anyone who would want Vivint. We recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Vivint. When we updated our equipment, they never disclosed that we were being locked into a new contract. To our surprise, we were later forced to pay the remaining cost of the contract, which felt unfair and deceptive. On top of that, the harassment is relentless. They bombard you with calls, texts, and mail, which makes the whole experience even worse. Dealing with Vivint has been stressful, and we regret ever choosing their service. Be cautious if you’re considering them—they’re not transparent about their terms.

Vivint has taken incredible care of our family. The techs were incredible, respectful of our home, and privacy. Installation fast and easy, it took less than 2 hours. It would have gone much faster, but I'm a conversationalist, and the techs were great company. :) Customer service was out of this world. Went above and beyond to make sure our experience is great. Thank you To Summer and Josh for making this a seamless process! I’m also quite pleased with the updated equipment.

Aric was very prompt in arriving for the scheduled installation. He was knowledgeable about the product and took his time to explain the product and installation process. This is our 4th home install with Vivint. Our technician was top notch and very knowledgeable. The app and equipment are very easy to use and we are instantly able to use our system seamlessly. The cameras work great at night and we are able to customize them from our phone. Highly recommend!

I've only had this product for a short while and it is working as expected and demonstrated by the technician. The technician explained and gave instructions in a professional manner. He was very patient. He demonstrated the product to the entire family. Grandson was excited to have the new security. The installation did not take long.

I love it. It works great minus the doorbell camera, I’ve had it for a couple days & everyday, it goes offline… that’s probably the only part I don’t like, so far so good. I approve I really just don’t like the offline part other than that great. Also Andy, he was great explained everything I needed to know & said I can call if any issues. Which I might do.

While visiting family during the holidays my granddaughter had Vivint installed in her home and my daughter already had the system installed in her home. Smooth installation. Great customer service. Installer was polite and courteous. Went over and showed how to use system. Very professional, I would highly recommend Vivint to all my friends and family.

Our installer was really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He alone gets five stars just for being awesome. The system is both sophisticated and user friendly at the same time. We’re really happy with it. We also appreciate that it comes with so many customizable options for installation, usage and security based on our needs. There are a ton of different ways to connect the security system to our needs (like window options, options for all outside doors, surveillance on all sides of the house, etc).

Difficulty understanding person on phone giving instructions. Complicated instructions without any written materials. System not completely functional and had to wait while being transferred. Then second person unable to arrange technician visit. May not continue with product.

Ryan came out to install my system. He was punctual and got it done in a timely manner. He helped me get logged in and showed me how to work everything before he left. He was great! I would definitely recommend the service to my friends and family and recommend Ryan for the install!

The gentleman was nice very thorough with his experience. Explained that the sensors in our rooms no longer working only one in a bedroom. Also let us know how to use the panel and app on our phone. He also let us know that the rooms have names so he couldn’t really know which sensor was working due to previous owner name the rooms.

Salesman pushy and said anything to get sale. The real terms aren't available for you until the equipment is installed. I was told I had 60 days to change my mind. I only had 3 and stuck now and wasn't aware of contract. Vivint doesn't care that I feel robbed and not want any of it. They only care that they have you under contact. I mailed the equipment back even tho they don't accept it. I don't want the reminder of being tricked into $4K of equipment. I'm angry with myself for not having the police remove the salesman from home and believing anything he said.

Jory was very professional, courteous and well-experienced with his work. He did an excellent job installing our Vivint home security system. We will definitely recommend Vivint to our neighbors and friends as our experience with every employee has been above and beyond. The security system works wonderfully with our iPhones. And the monthly payment is the lowest in the industry. We couldn’t ask for more! This company is much better than all of its competitors hands down. Install guy was very nice and informative. Install was fast and efficient. He made a hole in the wall without checking for studs so he had to make another hole somewhere else. Now there's an useless hole in my wall. He only cleaned up part of the wall debris that was created. The app to the service is not good. It gives me two notifications every time my doorbell detects someone.
I can't change my pin for my device in the app because it gives me error codes constantly. My doorbell isn't working at this moment and it's only been a few days. Resetting the system does nothing. It gives me a microphone option for the cameras inside but does nothing. The rewind is super lagging in the app. Just overall not satisfied with this product, wish I would have done research before installation as I've seen a lot of bad reviews. The website says there is a holiday special that gives free service for 6 months for new accounts. I got a new account within this time period but was not offered any holiday specials.

It took 4 tries to get an install date but install went well when the installer arrived. I haven’t dealt with customer service yet but intend to ask some questions when I call. I’m still learning and figuring things out. Hopefully my call to customer service will go smoothly and their help will go smoothly and we’ll get my wife’s phone set up.

The gentleman that came out to my house to talk to me about the system he was very, very nice. He knew what he was talking about. He knew what he was doing and I liked him a lot. The other gentleman that came out and put the system in he was very nice, very, very nice, adequate. He knew exactly what he was doing. I told him where to put everything. We were very pleased with the customer service from our phone call to our service person (Cody). We love that we have made our home a “smart” home! The security of being able to see all around our house and the convenience of being able to alarm, disarm, lock and unlock systems remotely makes the system worth the money. The products are great and we are happy we added another layer of security to our home.

I had service installed yesterday. Mixed feelings so far. Patio camera keeps indicating that there is someone on the patio, but there is no one there. Front door camera didn't capture my neighbor coming up to door & knocking. Driveway camera didn't load the video of my neighbor walking across my driveway. Less than 12 hours and I don't feel any better than I did with my previous monitoring company.

They installed our system the same day we purchased and the technician was very good about keeping us in the loop with where things were going to be and if we were okay with positioning. My technician Christopher arrived at 8 am ON THE DOT and I wasn’t even awake yet. He was extremely friendly and made sure that I had everything I needed and wanted for my family's safety. He was very thorough in explaining how the system works and how I can customize it. I was quoted 4-6 hours for install and he was in and out within 3!

I had the best of the best. Sherry was great, I was trying to get security cameras in my home and he knocks on my door to offer me exactly what my home needed. The security system itself is fine, but the technicians they sent to my home were another story. First, the tech made holes in my walls and door but left sawdust everywhere without telling me or offering to clean it up. He used dog toys to covered up the sawdust from the security panel. The mess around the front and garage doors was just left there.
Next, he forgot to install the front door sign properly. He came back the next day, propped it up, and then placed leaves on top of it. He didn’t even make a hole for the sign to stick out. On top of that, the tech removed my doorbell without saying anything and didn’t even give it back to me. Now, when I sell the house, I’ll have to figure out how to deal with that. Lastly, the window sensors are really poorly designed. The adhesive is so weak that every time I open a window, the sensor just falls off!

The installation was done in a timely manner and I was very impressed with the installers, to have people come into my house and work as diligently as they did was impressive, and then have the knowledge to explain the ins and outs of the system shows how Vivint takes care of teaching their employees about the system and how it works. I highly recommend them if you are interested in a security.

Quick and easy install. Tech explained how to use the system to me. They were able to use existing sensors from old alarm system which saved me money. I had two water sensors, a smoke and carbon monoxide sensor, and a motion sensor installed. I am very happy with my new alarm system.

This was the worst experience of my life. Alex was supposed to call me at 10:30 AM, but instead, he called at 11:00 AM. Initially, we agreed the call would last about 30 minutes, but it went on for two hours. During the call, Alex was incredibly rude and unprofessional in his communication. His tone was unfriendly, and it seemed like he did not want to talk to me. When I asked clarifying questions, he was dismissive and even rude. He spoke very quickly and unclearly, making it difficult to understand him.
I asked for help using the mobile app, but Alex told me he couldn’t assist and refused to help further. I also requested specific documents and instructional videos, which he promised to send to my email, but they were never sent. This added to my frustration and made me feel like my concerns were not being taken seriously. I had to resort to recording the conversation on a dictaphone, which I informed him about. Only then did his tone slightly improve.
I wasted half my morning on this unpleasant conversation, for which I am paying money. I no longer feel confident in continuing to use this company’s services, especially since it concerns the safety of my home. After this call, I still don’t understand how to use the system Alex was supposed to teach me. He made it clear that helping me was a burden, especially when I asked clarifying questions about how to use the system.
He seemed irritated and unwilling to spend time explaining, perhaps because he had a long list of other clients waiting for a call. However, that’s not my problem. Later, I called his manager. The manager was very kind and provided me with the contact number for the technical support team, who are supposed to help me learn how to use the app and system. But I was so exhausted by this experience that I haven’t called them yet. Perhaps I will try again later in the evening.

Before they left they explained the remote and how to use it. A book with instruction would be helpful to have on hand. I know I will not remember all the functions.

They tried to problem solve by letting me know my resolution would take place outside 3 day cancelation window handcuffing me. Customer service on loyalty side’s mic keeps breaking and they don’t call you back. Installer was knowledgeable, but directs you back to customer service which is no help. Sales person made some promises that were not kept.

Technician was very knowledgeable and friendly. He asked if we had any questions and taught us how to use the equipment with easy instructions. He also presented us with others options. Josh and Zeke were great and very helpful. I generally don’t answer the door for door-to-door sales, but Josh was immediately personable. Although this is a great product, Josh was 90% the reason I committed to purchasing. Zeke was great with the install and tutorial of the system. He did everything in his power to make the installation minimally invasive. I’d highly recommend both and Vivint for anyone looking to upgrade their home security.

I purchased my new Vivint security system a few days ago, and my sales rep, Sherry, has continued to surprise and delight me with his incredible customer support! He has texted me a few times each day to ask me how I’m doing and if I have any questions or issues I need any help with. When I replied that, "Yes, I actually do have some questions and concerns that I’d like to ask you about and get some clarification." He made his time available to come back over to my house when it was convenient for me and my crazy-busy schedule! Sherry is very polite and very personable! He’s also very knowledgeable and professional when speaking about Vivint security and he’s a great listener as well! I felt very comfortable asking him questions and I really felt heard because Sherry didn’t act like a shady pushy salesman trying to get my money!
I have worked in the hospitality, retail, and service industries my entire life going back 20+ years as a successful hairstylist and a customer support specialist. So I know from a lifetime of personal experience how clients, guests, and customers expect to be treated and I know how to accommodate their needs and provide them with an excellent experience. Yes but friends and relatives already have one and I believe most of the neighbors have one already. Customer service was great and Corey did an excellent job installing our cameras but will return to install our door pad because the door is a custom made door and we have to make it fit.

Well it started out a little rough, but once I called the customer service team they were able to make everything align so our security system could be installed as promised. From Sandy in CS to Brendan as the technician they were very professional and courteous and I would recommend Vivint to our friends and family. The explanation of how to use the system was simple just like the ease of use of the app/touchscreen home base. Setup was very easy, they sent all forms over via text and I was able to fill out and sign everything instantly. Installation took about 2 hours to fully complete including a walkthrough on how to use everything.

I’m a little disappointed about the fact that the exterior camera is hardwired. I wasn’t able to have an exterior camera installed, due to owner restrictions of penetrations through the exterior. A wireless/rechargeable camera is not available through this company, and I will have to go elsewhere to find an exterior camera that is wireless.

There has been no follow up on my garage door I have a two door garage and only one garage door has been set up & I let the salesman know, Will, and he has failed to respond after 2 phone calls & 2 text messages. So only 1 garage door is set up on my 2 car garage door as of today-December 18, 2024. Our contract was initiated on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Got my thermostat changed by them and heat stopped working so did the AC. After contacting my installer there’s not a response at all. Called Vivint, they had me taking the thermostat off and do a wire test which is pretty dangerous for some people. Then proceeded to tell me my AC is broken! A Brand new unit and say they are responsible for it. And I need to contact my AC guy! Ridiculous to break your stuff and tell you to figure it out yourself

We've had Vivint for over 10 years and recently they missed 2 separate activations of the smoke detector. Never contacted us through the panel, never called us and NEVER called the fire dept. Had we not been home the house would have been burned down!

The service with Vivint works perfectly. The sound and visuals are much better than the store bought cameras we previously used. I didn’t have a dead bolt in my door and he was patient and helped us install the dead bolt to put in the smart key pad lock. I’m so glad he was our technician. Charles came out and went above and beyond what he was supposed to do. After failed attempts with the spectrum Wi-Fi he called customer service and helped get them to understand what needed to be done. I truly appreciate someone who takes the time with a customer vs just doing their job and rushing to leave to get to their next job because they need the check. Love my new Vivint alarm system. The installer was great but the back office system was giving him problems. Not his fault, he did a great job and was professional. It just took an extra hour or so for the office people to get things right, just a little frustrating.

Technician was very polite, but did not get all of my items to work on the system. Did not connect my Nest thermostat, could not get my garage to connect to the myQ. Returned at 11 pm to finish installing the front door lock, which I had to re-install the next morning because screws were falling out. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I was told by the sales man that my garage door opener would be able to connect to this system and the technician said it wasn’t possible. Same with my front door lock system. I would like another technician to come out and try to connect these items being it was a main reason I switched to this company.

This is the absolute worst company I have ever experienced. I have been a customer for over four years before I noticed they were stealing my money. My account was set up on auto-pay, and once I found out, they applied the credit to my account, not the bill. Thus, the money is just sitting. Fast forward, I found out about the money they owed me on the account because I moved and started a new account, the tech that came out to my home played a dirty game. I was supposed to be going through Citizens Bank we had a conversation about not wanting a Vivint loan due to all the bad reviews however, my credit was locked I lifted the lock and he came back the next day and still put me through them without my knowledge, on top of the foolary he want over the amount on my loan therefore charging me a fee I was unaware of.
I called the company to straighten it out and they refunded me the money. The next day they sent me to collection, my account was never past due in the four years I had service there. After all this is said and done they still is making me pay back the money they paid me or their mistake and unethical practices. I will not be using them any longer. When you try to cancel they won't allow you without paying off the entire loan... They are scammers and frauds

Vivint wasn’t my first pick even though it’s a little bit more expensive, my wife convinced me and their product was just better, like the fact the camera has 189 degree view instead of 90 degrees and you can talk through the camera and people can actually hear and understand you.

Bad customer service. Very Disappointed. Was on phone for over the phone was on for over 2 hours being transferred continuously after I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. Very Disappointed. Wish I would have never called or gave my Cc information as I was also double charged for equipment. I didn't authorized to be installed in the home and the tech took advantage that I told him I didn't know anything about the system or how it worked
