    Someone from Vivint came and knocked on my door. I purchased the home security. We recently built a home and there have been several burglaries in our area and I have two children that occasionally stay home by themselves. The sales representatives were awesome as well as the technicians. He was very clean and tidy. Compared to any of the other electricians, plumbers, etc. that came to the house, he completely cleaned up his mess. I would never even know he had been here.     I change from adt to vivint, and the system is impressive. But, the billing department has a lot of problems. They overcharge me $104.22, and it took three months to get a refund. This is after talking to over six different, but very nice people. Some DID not know what was going on, even after I sent them copies of my statement. Now they want to change the agree monthly amount from $53.00 to now $68.00. A $15.00 dollar increase. If you are smart, do not give them your charge card number.

    On December 2, 2014 my home was broken into. Vivint did not immediately alert the police but instead waited until I could answer my cell phone and give the go ahead to call the police. I was at work and no one was at home at the time. The person on the phone told me she heard movement in the home when she tried communicating with me through the system and yet the police were not alerted immediately. They instead sent out a security officer who in turn had to call the police. Meanwhile the intruders made off with items from my home. VIVINT process is seriously flaw and need to be assessed and changes needs to be made.

    I heard about Vivint from a nephew. I purchased security and fire alarm from them and I'm satisfied so far. The sales representatives were knowledgeable and explained everything. The installers were excellent and they were kind, courteous and efficient. But I've had problems with the referral because referral people haven't gotten their $50 and I haven't gotten mine. I called twice and both times they said they were going to fix it. The first one, they didn't fix it. The second time, I haven't checked yet but that was not a good experience. They didn't even have them down as me referring them. So that's not a good thing. As far as customer service, they're not very good at all. The installers were excellent but the customer service is zero.

    We bought the home system from Vivint and then we ended up getting a second system and it's been wonderful. That's because we had alarms go off and we're not there all the time. I don't want to keep having the sheriff come out and have it be a false alarm every time. I thought eventually they're not going to come because there have been 4 times that the alarm has gone off. It was bothering me and so I called Vivint. Then they understood it and they were going to do it at no cost. We want to protect this property because it's a low income neighborhood. I had them add on the windows because it would be so easy to get in. Even with the alarm system that was on there, it was an additional sense of security. Our overall experience has been awesome. I love Vivint. It's an excellent service and an excellent security system. It's fantastic.

    Vivint has the wrong address in their system for my home since I had it installed. I corrected them the day it was installed, needs to say Hawks they have Fox LN. Since then I have asked for a bill, they offer to send it to Fox LN. Had my 5th conversation today and of course still wrong. I am concerned if I need help they won't be able to find me. They also have my neighbor's number down to call before me. Had an alarm go off and did not get a call - neighbor did. Despite numerous complaints neither problem is fixed. The system is useless to me as is. I'm not safe! The people I speak to there are all nice, but their system is a mess.

    My last experience with the good folks at Vivint happened the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was the day that we cooked the turkey. Well, one thing led to another and we accumulated a little more smoke in the house than we should have. No real problem, but the smoke did set off the sensor. I got to the control and shut off the alarm pretty quickly. I expected to talk to someone through the box, but it was a phone call that came to us.     We can't thank you enough for such great service. We recently had two incidents just a few weeks apart that could have been life-changing for us. While we were at work, our carbon monoxide detector went off due to a draft problem with our coal boiler.     I have no complaints with Vivint. The live system works well and is user friendly. The only thing was they give you a little yard sign that you put out on your driveway that says Vivint. It’s an octagonal, red or orange sign. The nice thing, which I never seen before, is they have little teeny lights that’s on top of the pole to light out the sign and they’re solar powered. So in the evening if burglars driving by, he can see that you’ve got Vivint security. But the darn lights break and fall off. They’re not very sturdy, lasted for the first 4 months and were no good anymore. It was a great concept and I loved it. But I don’t know how to replace those or get new ones, and that’s a minor thing. The service has been great. I’ve had no false alarms and the installation was very professional.

    I called in to report that my system was not syncing up to my phone app. I went online and chatted with a rep with the Chat feature thru the Vivint website. Great experience, no big deal, had everything set up. The rep advised me that my system was not working since July 7. I asked about the credit back, she said, "No problem, just call back once the technician has completed the work order." I called back to ask about the credit. The rep advised that I would only be credited back from Nov 10 until 13th. Keep in mind it is $60 something a month and I was paying for service since July until November - 4 months!! That is around a total of $240.00.

    Vivint customer service explained that it was my fault that their system was not properly functioning and they would only credit me $15. The $15 was after I escalated to a manager!!!!!! Ridiculous! This is the worst customer service I have ever received. Then for Vivint to turn it around and blame me???? And now I am out of pocket $240.00!!!!!! Ridiculous. I DO NOT RECOMMEND VIVINT TO ANYBODY WHATSOEVER!

    The initial installation was bad. The rep was not educated. He rushed through the installation and had no time to explain the system. The system now runs very good after a second rep fixed the problems. The only problem is that the batteries of the door lock deplete too quick. The monthly costs are also very high and not competitive, so we will look somewhere else after our 2 years. Overall we are fairly happy with the system.

    One window still reports an error every time alarm is set despite replacing the batteries. Camera very rarely works. In away mode, door is physically unlocked. There was a period when door, alarm panel and online app all reported different status of alarm. Plus point good response when alarm is set off. Overall I think expensive for what it is. I will not consider renewing my contract.

    I haven't even had my system for a month and it's a hot mess. My screen started off rebooting over and over, then it froze, and now it won't turn on. I purchased 6 glass break sensors and spent about $700 out of pocket only to be treated with mediocre service. I can't get a tech out here until December 15th, that's about almost three weeks without protection. (I'm posting this review a bit after the issues began.)

    I received no sympathy and terrible service every time both my husband and I have called. They offered a credit to my account but what good will that do me when I need to protect my family. I am disheartened by both the quality of the equipment and customer service. I understand equipment is sometimes bad out of the box but when I have it less than a month and Vivint tries to charge me $50 to send a tech out it's just infuriating. I'm extremely disappointed to say the least.

    On a Sunday night in November 2014, our daughter was home alone while we were out of town. The alarm went off and she was so scared. Vivint immediately contacted us by phone and text while we were in Hawaii alerting us to the fact that the alarm had gone off. The Vivint employee was very professional, calm, and contact 911 and the local authorities right away. I was talking with the Vivint employee while my daughter was on the phone with my husband. The police came, checked out the yard and house to make sure things were secure. Not sure what triggered the alarm, but the system Vivint has in place worked perfectly! Thank you!!!

    I am retired and receive disability. I set aside monies for my bills once a month. Vivint charged me a payment that was incorrect. By doing this, it made some of my payments insufficient. They were paid by my bank. But it's awful to put it mildly what I went through this October this year. To make a long story short, I had to go through this again this month in December. Once again I have overage in my checking account. I don't have the monies to pay $30.00 for a $5.99, $5.00 and a $50.00. When I contacted vivint once again all they could say is "I'm sorry I understand what you are going through". That's not helping me at all. You don't know what I'm going through. You try to do what's right by paying your bill on time and you do this to me. Very disappointed in your company.

    I'm very satisfied with my home security system with Vivint. The technicians that installed the system were good. We got what we paid for. Right now, we had an incident when something happened to my air conditioning and it got up to 90 degrees in here. We opened some windows and tried turning it off but it wouldn't go off so we finally got the said thing fixed. But when we got the air fixed and close the windows and re-lock them, the function where it used to say when somebody is at the door, whether it's the entry door or back door and let me know doesn't work anymore. I called somebody to try to get it fixed and they couldn't fix it. They said I have to go into my closet and get the face off of the system back there but I'm handicapped and I can't do that. So it has never worked since. Other than that, I am very satisfied with their service.

    The other day my security system started making a noise at the turn-off place. It showed that my battery was low. I called Vivint to find out what battery I needed. The responses I got were very indefinite and not a favorable response. They told me that they could come in on December 31st of 2014 to change that out. What’s supposed to happen between December 7th or 8th, whenever that was, and December 31st? Am I all of a sudden not going to be protected? I was not very pleased at all with the response that I got. If the battery is low and they’re not going to render me more security than that, so from now to December 31st, who cares? My experience has been favorable until this last encounter I had with them. I was not happy.

    I would not recommend them to anybody. First of all, because when they came in, I had ADT. This was several years ago. They came in and presumably, they were the same company and were just trying to give me a better deal. It turned out they are a completely different company. The rep never told me that until it was almost all signed in. I have not been pleased with the way they entered into the contract with me from the very beginning. I am not satisfied overall.

    I got an alarm system from Vivint because of break-ins. We're very happy and satisfied with them. Sometimes I have some technical questions and the representatives have been great. If I forget to undo the alarm, they call right away to make sure everything's okay. The technicians were good but I was a little disappointed that they didn't clean up their mess which I had to do. They drill into the wall and the sheetrock falls and they left it that way. Overall, they're great and I have no problems with them whatsoever.

    Vivint sales rep came to our door and we purchased the home monitoring system from them because I have a nice house with a lot of nice stuff and I want to protect it. So far, Vivint's service has been good although one time I was the one who solved their technician's problem. They left with one of the cameras in the front hall not working. It wouldn't connect to the internet or PC. I was shown the technician password, so I come in and messed with it a little bit and I got it to work.     So in the 42 month agreement small print, it says to cancel/not renew service. At the end of the agreement you have to notify Vivint in writing no later than 30 days before the end of the term of service (Dec 22, 2014). So I did. In writing - no response or acknowledgement. Then I faxed it - 30 days prior. No response or acknowledgement. So I called and was told Vivint got the notice but they have to call me AFTER the cancellation notice has been ON FILE for 30 days AND after the last bill payment (Dec. 20th). And then the lady says "but sometimes they don't so if you don't hear by January call back". I have written, I have faxed and I have called - twice. Why in the hell isn't that enough for you to stop this service on the end date of my contract? What a frustrating, jerk-around company!!

    Plus the system didn't work at all for over 2 months and then some guy shows up at the door and says, "oh, yeah. When the cell tower was taken out of service last October we lost service to this area. Nobody's system works around here anymore without our new 'update'." Two months with no service - their fault. Sure didn't see any credits on my bill. Loser, cheat company. Don't sign up with Vivint or you will surely regret it.

    We haven't had any problems really with our Vivint alarm system except that the battery is going out on the front door but that's because you're going in and out so many times. We've had it since it's first new in this area. It's quite good and very easy to work. It's nice to not have to have a key. You can just punch everything in. It's also good when there's a storm coming. You get a warning and it gives you the temperature and everything. The rep was very nice and informative. One of the neighbors had gotten it so we knew a little bit about it before he got here. We've had no problems with their techs whatsoever. They were very nice and explained what they were doing as they went along. We do have the camera and it's not convenient for my daughter or anything when she's at work because of the way my house is situated so I was wondering if we could send that back or not use it or whatever.

    I moved this past June 2014. The new owner had ask for the Vivint alarm system to be left so she could activate it (not sure if she did?). I had a tech scheduled to install a new system at my new house and had issues with the tech on scheduling and ended up canceling with him, and calling customer service and canceling with them. They said it would be taken care of (Cancelled) and there was no mention at that time of anything further that I needed to do. I have not received any billing, letters, calls, or anything from Vivint since the first week of June this year and now all of a sudden I get a bill of $197.04 on my Visa statement (11/15/14). Sent an email and canceled on 11/15/14 was billed again on 11/17/14 for $49.26. They said they were sorry no bill went out for over 5 months but there was nothing they could do.     I previously had a home alarm system. That was several years ago by the same company, only it wasn’t Vivint then. So when the salesman came knocking on my front door, he knew I was a customer and said he could give me an upgrade. He was very friendly, informative and very good. He sold me on it. But I didn't realize I was making a commitment for two years when I bought the plan. Wish I wasn't committed for two years. I don't know if I'm gonna be in the home for two years. Anyway, the system was installed efficiently. But it's less than what I expected. The alarm system has a couple of weaknesses.

    The system has an audible alarm. When you set the alarm to leave the house, it has the same sound you get when you enter the house. I recently had an occasion when I left through the front door (which I never do) because I was just going to my neighbors house. As I went out the front door, I realized I forgot something. I stepped back in, I heard the sound. I thought I was still in the grace period of 1 minute for leaving the house. I picked up the thing I was looking for and went back out. Well, it turned out, the alarm had set when I opened the door to go back in. I figured the alarm requiring me to reset it but the sound was the same and I didn't realize that. I left the house and shortly after I left the house, the alarm triggered and ended up calling the police. And there was some difficulties there. Alerting other people. My family thought that I was in trouble. It was not a good scene. If the alarm box on the wall provided two different sounds, one of when you’re leaving and one when you’re coming in, I wouldn’t have that problem.

    I shopped several companies before finally narrowing it down to Vivint and ADT (via protect 1). In the end, ADT wanted to come to my home and do an overview and proposal (where I was assured by the rep on the phone that they would not only meet, but BEAT what Vivint was offering me, Vivint came out of the gate with a killer offer.) So, a couple days later the ADT installer showed up (late) and I presented him with Vivint's offer. He made a phone call from my table, and looked at me and told me they could not beat it, in fact, they would need an additional $900 to even match it. I thanked him for his time...lol.

    He then got on the phone with somebody else (my second sales pitch no doubt) to find out if they could meet it, and provide 2 monitored smoke detectors at no charge. I told him I would call Vivint and present them the same opportunity, and if they matched it, the deal was done with Vivint. My sales rep Justin came back on with me, and not only provided the 2 free detectors, but tossed in a month of free service to boot. Now the install date is still a few days away, and I'll report back at that time, but so far, let me tell you my ratings so far....

    I decided that I needed Vivint services because I like the idea of the control I have on my own house while I'm not there. I had an inadequate security system, they didn't have the automation that Vivint had. They said they were acquiring it and it's going to be available soon. But Vivint had had it right now and that's what we needed.

    Sales representative was very good. We went through my need and I was provided all the goodies that I wanted so I was happy. The technicians that first installed my system was very good and very efficient. Because I had a system that was active, we deactivated that system, took all the stuff that was a part of that old system, then put a new panel up and reduced the mounting, put the thermostat up, smoke detectors, cameras, everything that I needed so I was quite impressed with them. They had the system up and running in probably about an hour. I was impressed.

    I've had a few incidences where I've had to talk to customer service about how to do this and how to do that and they very informative and easy to work with. In a couple occasions, they even did it through the system. So I'm very satisfied with the service and right now everything seems to be okay. The only thing that I would recommend is being able to put outside cameras so that you can detect and record people coming on your property from the outside before they even get inside. But they don't do that because there are other companies that have that process. So I don't know why Vivint doesn't add it to theirs.

    I was having problems with my old company and when a salesman came to my door, I switched right then and there. With the people that I've spoken to, service was extremely well. I have a situation that hasn't been fixed and I haven't decided if I'm staying with them. I'm on a month's mark right now. The alarm went off and nobody called me. It happened a couple of times and I called them up. They sent some very good people down that had it work. It happened again and again. It scares me leaving my house. I'll never know if I'm going get a phone call when something happens. I can open my front door right now and within 15 seconds I turn off my alarm and I don't get a phone call when I'm expecting them to call.

    Sometimes they call on the phone, sometimes they call right on the box. I was supposed to call back and set up a time to have another person come out. The first time they did it, they came out and put some new stuff that cost me $700 extra. I put a bit of money because I liked Vivint initially. They were answering when we had a false alarm and then after a while, I'm not getting the service I used to get and I'm annoyed.

    My old company was out of California and it wasn't working at all. When I started with Vivint and I get a false alarm, they call within 40 seconds and that was fantastic. Every time it happened, I thank them profusely for doing such a great job and being on top of it. But it hasn't been like that in past 8 months. Also, I was very happy in the beginning because I had a lease contract. Now I don’t have a contract anymore and I'm not having that great service.

    But here's the good with Vivint. Every time I'm on the phone with them, they're very nice, helpful and go out of their way. They run tests but can't figure out what it was. The man that came in was a great guy and did a great job. He was changing up different things on different windows and testing each area and zone to see. He did a fantastic job and the people on the phone are fantastic. I just can’t get the item fixed right. I did bend over backwards to try to help and nobody came up with any answer yet.

    I have paid my bill every single month for more than 2 years now as long as I've had them. They switched billing processes or whatever they claim and therefore lost track of payments in the transition so requested I send proof of payment due to the fact they can't keep track of their own records. I sent that in and now they are saying I didn't pay back in February even though I have proof I did and previously on the phone they confirmed I paid in February. They honestly are the most unreliable unorganized company I have dealt with. I do NOT recommend anyone uses them for home security!!! They are TERRIBLE. Also they use cheap equipment that you could buy at Radio Shack. My gut feeling told me don't do it when the salesman gave me his BS pitch... but they pry and pry until you give in.     Vivint has always given me friendly customer service, and I feel safe as they have always been prompt when it comes to responding to alarms. However, half of my sensors have fallen off and I am missing pieces. I have called, and their only solution is to mail me pieces to install myself, or charge me $60 to have a technician come out and do it for me. I have done the mail in pieces in the past. They are just stickers and fall off after a while. The only ones I have left and are working, are the ones left over from my previous alarm company. My contract is up and it looks like it's time to move on.

    Vivint has been fine. I'm 88 years old and I live alone and thought it might be a good idea to get their service. Their reps have always been very nice. One complaint I have is the paint on the sign out in front of the house that says "protected by Vivint" is coming off and it looks too weird. It's half orange and half white. I mentioned it to the person from Vivint who called the other day. They called to see if everything was alright because I didn't turn off the alarm fast enough when I came into the house. There are two people I mentioned it to but nothing has happened. Then I got another call later encouraging me to renew when my time was up.     After a creepy installation where the sales guy claimed that the free equipment deal was about to end (the deal was announced on the radio two weeks later) and the installers left at about 1:00 a.m., I've dealt with chronic troubleshooting and poor customer service for the past 15 months. My most recent frustration with Vivint occurred today. I came home to the loud beeping going off about every 3-5 minutes. Call #1: Service and technical support woman had me dismount panel, remove wiring and continually asked if I had access to a wall outlet, which I do not. She had me unscrewing screws smaller than a needle, all while listening to the beeping go off every 3-5 minutes. Finally, she asked me to go flip the switches in power box. Not surprisingly, we were disconnected. Despite the fact she had two numbers for me listed in front of her (this is home security after all) she made no attempt to call me back. Total time of call: over 32 minutes with no solution.

    Call #2: after a five minute wait, this tech support guy finally got the beeping to stop. He said that I would need to be transferred to a specialized group (I believe he referred to it as 'Level 2' for technical support). He transferred me and I proceeded to wait 21 minutes. I was then disconnected. I imagine the disconnection occurred as someone went to take my call.

    Call #3: I waited a while to get initial pick up from technical support. I explained my frustration to her and let her know that I thought I had served my wait time. She agreed. Apparently that's all she could do for me as after she transferred me to level 2, I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Level two comes on and lets me know within about 60 seconds that I would need to schedule a service call. When I asked why someone at level one technical support couldn't schedule the service call, she had no answer other than they aren't trained as well and don't know the equipment as well. I concurred wholeheartedly with her. So, now I have a four hour service appointment window scheduled 7 days from now with a local Vivint service person. And, I get a $15 credit on my bill.

    All said, the customer service is horrible. Today's experience is on level with past experiences with Vivint. I am very disappointed I switched home security companies. Vivint is more expensive than my last security company and in 1 year I've had more service calls with Vivint than I did over a 9 year period with my previous security company. And, it is apparent that Vivint has little appreciation for their customers' personal time.

    I just spent 49 minutes on the phone with Vivint customer service trying to get them to switch my camera for a keypad door lock. My system was installed 5 months ago and this was the first time I had the time to phone them about the issue. The camera has not worked since the moment it was installed by the installer. She left my home knowing that it was not working and simply informed me that it would take time for the internet to catch the signal and that it would be up and running shortly. It never came online. I wanted to install a keypad door lock instead on my inner garage door and was told by the first customer service agent that I simply would not be able to exchange the camera for the door lock. It was not possible.

    At my insistence I was transferred to the next level of customer service who adamantly told me I was unable to qualify for the exchange since it was over three months and that the service was now "set". Finally I got a third person on the phone who said yes they would do it but that I had to pay an install fee of 49.00 to make the switch. I felt like they just wanted my money, that they didn't really care about my satisfaction and that they were waiting out my patience to see how much money they could get out of me. I am very dissatisfied with the level of customer service, the time it took to take care of this issue when my time is at a premium and the additional cost.

    Additionally they had said they could get me an appointment to install a door lock that I would pay for as soon as the next day but when I finally got to the third customer service agent was told that the next appointment availability was in over two weeks. Very disappointing. What happened to making the customer happy and the customer is always right? Especially when you are paying a lot for a service and locked into a contract until 2018??

    We have had nothing but problems since we set up our system. The list is long! Our sales rep made promises he did not keep, window sensors where never hooked up, tech appointment where no one showed, and the final straw was when we discovered our carbon monoxide detector was never hooked up. As I sit here writing this I am waiting for a technician to arrive to remove all the Vivint equipment. Our time frame was 4-6 pm and I coordinated my electrician so he could set up the smoke detectors and thermostats. It is now 7:30 and still no technician. Vivint put my family at risk, caused numerous inconveniences and now extra expenses. Needless to say I am very upset.

    We have used other home security systems. I am not usually swayed by ads or persons at the door trying to get us to switch. But I was SO disappointed with the one we were using, that when Vivint came along (or whatever it was called a few years ago), I listened. I got my hubby to listen. We switched and do not have to ever switch again. This company has very polite and kind HUMANS answering the phones. They call when the alarm is acting oddly. They make sure that you are really OK, and not saying you are because there might be an intruder in the house. They really really know customer service, safety and psychology of what might be happening and really make sure that we are really OK, if something goes wrong. I would like a larger key pad for our older fingers. Sometimes we hit the wrong numbers... and they call to make sure we are fine. I LOVE THIS COMPANY more than any other company! I like to promote what I deem awesome!:-)

    Vivint came to my door one day. I already had a security system and they were just some real personable young men and I just trusted them. I never do that. I don't know how they impressed me enough that I would let them in my house, but we upgraded and I went with Vivint then. My experience with Vivint has been great. I am waiting on a technician on the 18th to replace the battery for me. They're very helpful when I call them. The technicians who installed our system were just so nice. They just instilled a trust into me and I was very happy with them. Anytime that I've had a problem and called, we've either talked it through and they've walked me through it or they've sent someone to do it and it's never been a problem.

    I’m not having a very good experience with Vivint and I cancelled my second contract, which I have not yet received a response to. I was misinformed on my new contract after having been with them for three years. I was misled; nobody told me about data usage for the cameras, I was told it was getting re-updated. So I’m not very happy with them right now. The three years prior, I didn’t have any problems with them, even though I realized now that being charged probably $12 more a month than the average person with less equipment, but that’s my fault because I didn’t do my homework, so I can’t blame them for that. I hate to have to complain about anybody but when you’re not told certain things, it’s not right.

    We had Vivint installed on our new house on the recommendation of a friend after a break in attempt shortly after we purchased the house. My husband was about to leave on deployment and I was worried about being home alone. Since my husband was on leave, he was the one to get everything set up, and put the account in his name. This would normally be fine, but it complicates things later in the story. This was not Vivint's fault. Per my husband, the tech that came out to install was super professional and nice, made friends with our new puppy and was very conscientious about cleaning up all the shavings and such from the install. The system was easy to set up and use, and every rep I've ever spoken to has been courteous and professional (things that cannot be said about other companies, particularly when trying to deal with Power of Attorney issues while your husband is overseas-what a headache that can be!).

    They were very helpful with little tweaks I had to make to my system as my dog got bigger and craftier about setting off the system during the day. The problem I have is this: in order to get this system you have to submit to a credit check, which is all well and good. We passed with flying colors and signed a 5 year contract, with the understanding that we might have to move before then and would have to figure something out for a tenant. (I am insistent that the protection stay on the house that we own in Jacksonville as it is a big city and has big city problems. Plus, we get a discount on our homeowner's insurance.) We had discussed with Vivint before we signed if it would be a problem to have someone else take over the account as a part of our lease. We were assured that as long as their credit checked out, it shouldn't be a problem. Alrighty!

    We (or more accurately, our property management company) would be credit checking applicants, so surely that would not be an issue. We were fortunate enough to rent the house out quickly when we moved rather unexpectedly in September. Our tenant understood that she was to take over the account. After a month, I called the property manager to make sure that she had switched everything over to her name, and discovered that she'd run into a roadblock with Vivint. She was unable to pass the credit check (!) even with a cosigner (!!). I immediately called the property manager who assured me that she had passed their credit check and that he wasn't sure what was going on. The tenant had ADT at her previous residence and reported that she had never had a problem like this before.

    We are now having to go through the process of adding her as a cosigner to our account so that she can have better access to the system and pay the bill. I don't understand how she can pass the credit check to rent a HOUSE and fail one for this! I would recommend Vivint to anyone except for landlords. This has been a huge headache and has taken up the past 5 weeks of my life pretty intensively. The service itself is great and easy to use. I just wish we could use it!

    We have been using Vivint since early June. Initially there were a few problems with connections and door locks but these were all addressed quickly and successfully. We have had no issues with this system since. It is wonderful to know that you can unlock or lock doors from your car leaving your entrance to your home easy when carry large objects. We had added many lamp modules which we switch on and off while we are away to make it appear someone is home and this Christmas our entire outside and inside lighting will be controlled by the lamp modules. We are going to be extending it to garage door opener, cameras and anything else that can secure our home. Great system. Do not regret dumping our old one we had for about 20 years.

    I like the fact that Vivint has a quick response to all emergency situations whether it ends up an emergency or not. The staff are also friendly as well. Anytime I have called in, they were able to answer all questions. I haven't been with Vivint very long so don't have much to review.     After having Vivint for about three months I came home to find an alarm had gone off in my home. Nobody at Vivint contacted me, my wife or the police. After working with Vivint on this they have sent tech after tech to work one issue after another. They have swapped the panel three times, had to rework the locks, replace the camera and replace multiple sensors.     Vivint installed the system very quickly but when it comes to repairs, we had to wait 2 weeks. 2 weeks without any security coverage. It's my belief that new installs get priority over repairs.     I had a security system previously and wasn't happy with it so when a Vivint rep came to my door, I changed over to them and got a home security and heat monitoring where I can monitor everything from my computer. The service so far has been very good. I am satisfied. Initially, our experience with the technicians that first installed that system was a little rocky but it was an issue with the salesperson because they told me one thing and what I actually got were two different things, but we worked it out. Other than that, the Vivint reps always come whenever I have a service issue and fix everything and make sure everything in the house works. They just don't fix what's there, they check everything before they leave and were very pleasant. They clean up after themselves if there's a mess. Everything was good.

    I live alone. I'm an old widowed woman and we had some robberies in the neighborhood. I'm not using the whole alarm system but I purchased the whole thing. The main thing I got it for is the alarm around the neck because I've had a lot of heart problems.     The salesman Landon ** from Vivint was at first what seemed to be a respectful and trustworthy guy. He promised to take the bill from ADT and pay the balance that would occur when stopping their service, only reason why I switched because I could not afford that bill at this time. He was very communicative via text, until that bill came. He responded one time only to my husband to ask if that was the final bill we sent him via text and stated he would take care of it. Here we are months later, I've been referred to a credit collection agency, and unable to get in contact with Landon now. I have reached out to Vivint who seemed concerned and stated they were going to get a hold of him. When I returned the call because I didn't hear from him, the number given to me by a Vivint rep was always busy. Just really upset with this and now have an approx $540 bill affecting my credit.
