My son has been enrolled in the kid’s club at this facility for about 3 years. He is never allowed to go into the "kid’s club" area of the club when according to staff there are not enough other children in the kid’s club area. There are always kids on "the floor" when I go in to work out. Today, as I walked in with my son, I was told the kid’s club is closed again. I asked if my overweight 9-year old son could work out on the treadmill with me and was told no. I asked if he could use the rock climbing wall and was handed the belt and not given any instruction on how to use it on my son.

Then after I got the belt connected and my son on the wall a lady walks by with her 3-year old and proceeds to put her 3-year old on the elliptical machine where my son is not allowed. My son is never allowed any courtesy in this gym. The same rules do not apply to all members. I told the front desk employees I was not happy about it. The boy at the front said he would let the lady know to get her daughter off the machine. The 3 employees up front standing around talking could have watched my son in the kids club today. I keep paying for my son to have access to kid’s club and it is not available at this gym regularly enough for us to access when I need to. The employees are not willing to try and keep it open access for the kids.

I went to In-Shape City in Turlock on Geer Road to find out how much it would cost to join. I talked with ** and he said that I could join and would have two weeks to cancel. He said the rest of October would be the trial period and that they were having a special and November would be free. He specifically said that if we joined, we would start paying in December. But I didn't fill out all the paperwork because I wasn't sure we even wanted to join. I didn't receive a copy of anything from him. After two weeks, I called and told the person working the desk that I wanted to let them know we wouldn't be joining after all. He said that I had to come in to talk to a salesperson.

I came in on the next Saturday to talk to a salesperson to cancel and they said I had to talk to a manager. So I called on Monday and talked to the manager, and I told him everything that had happened and that we didn't want to join. He told me to hang on and never came back to the phone. I hung up because I had already told him and thought he would take care of it. We received a bill in the mail for $99.99 and apparently they claim that we are members and will not cancel our membership.

I had given the company permission to take money out of my bank account for my monthly bill. The company then turned around and charged me $153.00 the next day without permission. I called and talked with someone about this issue and said they couldn't give me the money back because i agreed to pay. I then explained that I said they can take the $153.00 on the 30th of October. They said that the person that put in notes told me that it was the 5 of October and today is the 2 of October so they are early to draw anything out of my bank in the first place. But regardless they should have fixed the problem and they told me that they couldn't give me my money back, After I already told them that I didn't give them permission to take money out of my bank account.
