I love the feel of the Gillette Fusion razors, but don’t like the price. I bought a Harry’s razor, handle & blade, at Meijer's. They were on sale, and seemed like a good alternative. However, even a brand new blade felt like dragging a cheese grater across my face. Not even close to the smoothness of the Gillette Fusion. It was a waste of money.

I seriously cut myself several times on my face and legs. I contacted the company to report. They listened however, had no resolution. I gave my accumulated blades to my husband who has not had the same problems. My sister has now cut herself. The blade removed three inches of skin. They are dangerous! One slip or skin bump and you will cut and bleed.

As a woman, I typically tend to buy men's razors for the close shave, ergonomic handling and minimal razor burn to none. This was the same case when I originally purchased this particular razor 6 months ago. The shave is amazingly smooth with no razor burn in sight. The blades have stayed as sharp as day one and for that tread careful while using. My first run in with this razor was pleasant for the most part but upon my surprise, it had cut the back of my leg open about 6 inches. Not deep, but enough to bleed well.
I took it as a heed to shave slower than normal next time and remained positive. Weeks after my first mishap is when I encountered my second issue while shaving, a problem I had never had before; I have a small skin tag under my right underarm and you bet that this razor snagged the ever loving jesus out of it, making me bleed like a stuck pig. Okay. What in the world? I refrained from using this razor anywhere but my calves for the next few weeks because I was terrified that it would harm me again. I finally muscled up the courage to thoroughly use it after the accidents and once again, this thing somehow managed to grab my actual skin on that same underarm which is A FLAT AREA and sliced not one but two places where it pinched!!
I'm tired. I was beyond excited to finally have a razor that catered to my needs without giving me the dreaded razor burn and barely there hairs. This razor was everything until it became everything I hate. Will never use again as there is a serious design flaw. I've never had this kind of experience with any other razor and I've been shaving for 15+ years. Harry's, thanks but no thanks.

After the initial launch of Harry's products and for approximately a two year period The razors were very high-quality. However after that as a redesign aging the trimmer blade the razor simply do not stay sharp. After a couple of shaves they pull the hair more than cut them, and don't even think about sharing with a woman, they wear out even faster!! TOTAL GARBAGE!!!!

Gillette Mach 4 blades have always worked the best for me, I've tried almost all the blades you can find in regular stores. When Harry's came out, I liked the look and the packaging, and how they bragged to be as good as all the top brands, not to mention a significantly cheaper price. After going through about a dozen blades, I am just done with them. Gillette's higher end blades would last me around a month, Harry's blades hurt my face on the very first shave, that's how dull they are. They look nice, they feel good in your hand, the trimmer works pretty well, but the blades are just too dull. In the end, i just cant recommend them unless you are someone with a light beard and doesn't have to shave regularly.

I was a member of Harrys and I signed up for the CORE Membership which is supposed to give you an extra 10% off minimum on all orders. Well what they don't tell you is the blades that they already discount by $1 is included in this discount even though they were the same price before I signed up for the CORE discount. In addition even if that was the case $1 off a $16 shipment of blades is not 10%. Every time I call they give me the runaround. DO NOT put yourself through the hassle.

OK, I gave into the advertising and bought a set. It does give a close shave, and it should, with 5 blades it is like shaving 5 times. The large head is a little hard to manage around the face, mouth and mustache. The main complaint is the handle to blade fit, the handle sits at a 90 degree angle to the face. This is not good. Wonder why no other shaver does this? Because it is not a good design. I did 10 shaves with the two blades and threw it all away. Back to Gillette.

I'd been using Gillette blades for 20+ year and the past 5 years for free (thanks to a case of blades gifted to me by a friend in the business). Gillette blades are awesome but, when I ran out, i figured I would try Harry's because they seem to be priced at what blades should be. Maybe it's because I don't have a super-tough beard and because I shave every day, but when I use Harry's as part of my morning routine – which includes Art of Shaving oil, shave cream, and after-shave balm – I get a shave as close and smooth as Gillette. What's more, I kind of like the less rigid, more flexible blade head – and the lighter handle is great. Seems to me that everyone has a different face, a different way they shave, and different sensibilities – but I think I'm going to stay with Harry's for the foreseeable future. Especially since Gillette on started bringing their blade prices down when Dollar Shave Club, Harry's et al came on the scene.

I like Harry's and use them in a pinch but they have cut me each time and usually only in a rounded area. I stopped using Harry's and I am trying once again to see if it will give a closer shave. Before I stopped because I kept getting cut and not a close shave so I tried Dollar SHAVE CLUB AND THEY HAVE NEVER CUT ME and the shave is close. I will always use Dollar Shave Club but I wanted to see if Harry's has changed and unfortunately they are still the same. I get cut and not a close shave. I will try again next week and focus and see if I can shave without getting cut. FOR THE PRICE, I THINK IT IS A GOOD DEAL.

I have been more than happy with the blades and they seem to last longer than the Gillette I used before. An improvement would be allow a release for the blades from the Handle. I find the shave to be as good or better than the Gillette and the shave is smooth leaving no stubble. The Shave Gel is smooth, I ran out a while ago and used my previous gel and couldn't wait to get my shipment with the Harry's Gel.

The razor blade's plastic pivot mechanism snaps backwards when applying pressure to the face causing the blade to become flimsy. It's very frustrating as I have to hold my finger on the back of the blade in order to apply pressure to my face to cut hair. This is the worst pivot mechanism I have ever used with a blade. I thought I had a defective blade the first time the plastic pivot snapped, however it happened again. You have lost me as a customer, period end of story. Going back to Gillette. This was a waste of time.

This is definitely NOT a paid plant. I'll admit I have pretty good skin. I've never got razor burn or cuts or anything, but the problem I've had with every razor I've used is even if I shave up or dry it's never or barely a close enough shave. Until now. I just tried the trial last night and I was shocked. Not a single piece of stubble. I use shave gel already so I was pleased with the shave gel. I got the face lotion in the mystery box and after an hour of it being on I am very pleased with how my face feels. Bottom line for me: best razor I've ever used. And that's coming from a Gillette guy.

Had a 2-plus-month-old Schick Hydro blade. I didn't want to brave the crowds at Wal-Mart for some new razor blades, so I went with the trendy (read: lazy) way and ordered online. Harry's sold me over Dollar Shave Club with their "Engineered in Germany, Made in America" marketing slogan. I should've read the reviews. I opted for their $8 starter pack plus a $10 mystery box. Spoiler alert: their $10 mystery box is just three bars of soap that smell like m̶y̶ ̶d̶o̶u̶c̶h̶e̶y̶ ̶f̶r̶a̶t̶e̶r̶n̶i̶t̶y̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶c̶o̶l̶l̶e̶g̶e̶ Axe Body Spray.
I got my box of stuff yesterday. I admit I dig the olive green razor handle, but in a bit of foreshadowing it's now just sitting in my grooming box as a bathroom ornament. Pulled out the shave gel, razor, and bars of soap, then gave it all a try last night. I washed my face then applied the gel as instructed. The gel also smelled like Axe Body Spray. Kinda off-putting when it's all you can smell. It's like my nostrils had been penetrated by date **. I let it soak in for a couple of minutes then started shaving. The 'moisture strip' on the razor felt more like a Goodyear than lubrication. The razor itself was rough across my skin and the moisture strip rubbed across my face. I figured I was doing something wrong. Surely the shave couldn't be that bad, so I'd try it again.
I tried it again tonight. I now have a rash from razor burn. Thanks, Harry's. My neck and chin look like herpes. If I would've looked a little harder, I would've realized that Gillette and Schick now have order plans that are cheaper. And both offer better razors from their disposable single blade razors. Not even joking. Harry's is that terrible. I'm going back to my 2-month-old razor tomorrow. If that doesn't work I'll sharpen my kitchen knife before going back to my Harry's razors. My new Schick razors can't come fast enough. FWIW, I don't see this company being business too long. Can't offer a low-quality product for a high price and expect people to keep buying after the trend wears off. Harry's will soon go the way of Jamz, Zubaz, and Crystal Pepsi.

A Gillette user for over 50 years, I was still in search of the perfect shave. So I went for the advertising hype and bought the starter set and 8 extra blades thinking I was set for almost a year--getting a month per blade with Gillette. After about five shaves, the Harry's blade began to drag and scrape. I made it two weeks and changed blades. Again the blades didn't last. After a month I kissed the Harry's product good-bye and went back to the trusty Gillette. Much smoother and fewer nicks. Tip: Flush the razor with high pressure warm water and towel dry to get longer life. Lesson relearned: You get what you pay for.

Harry's has cheapened their razor blades so badly. Several years ago I used to get about 12-14 shaves from one blade. Since they started to sell to Target and now Walmart, the blades suck. I have been shaving my legs for 31 years and have never kicked myself as much as I have with this razor. Also, the first blade I used, within a few weeks the blade already had rust on it. So back to Gillette we go! Glad I didn't let my husband use this razor on his face.

I tried Harry's razors because of the low cost and found you get what you pay for. I have been shaving regularly for over 50 years and generally use Gillette razors now. I have tough whiskers (like a wire brush) and I can get a decent shave with the premium brands and even shave against the grain for an extra close shave if I want to. I always shave after washing my face or a shower, and use good quality shaving soap.
I gave the Harry's razor a long trial. The razor is OK, but not good for under the nose or other tight spots - too big and awkward. The trimmer blade is just dangerous - I cut myself more than a few times with it. A shave with the grain gives mediocre results for me, always with a few cuts. Shaving against the grain caused considerable irritation and lots more cuts. As I said, I gave it a good trial of a couple of weeks but was consistently irritated and cut by this thing. With a Gillette Mach 3 I can do a quick shave with just a wet face if I'm in a hurry and not have a single cut. I'd probably lose too much blood if I tried that with Harry's razor. Bottom line - inexpensive but not worth it. I suppose if you have soft or sparse whiskers it might work but not if you have whiskers that require a good blade. I would not recommend it to anyone.

It worked only a very little bit better and I had to resort to wrapping plumber's pipe thread tape around the insertable part of the handle in order to get a tighter fit to the cartridge! After a month and a half, I have cut myself with the sideburn trimmer more than once while shaving under my chin. The last time so bad, I am not sure if it will leave a scar (cutting my chin with the snap-back from the "sled").

However, once you get past the seductive packaging you're left with a product that's total crap. The razor drags so much it is impossible to get a good shave. Packaging is nice...maybe too nice, in other words spend your money where it counts Harry's. Handle is sturdy and ergonomic but needs much more substantial stippling. It's way too slippery especially if you shave in the shower. Trimmer blade, yikes! I've severely cut my face more than a dozen times with the trimmer blade because it does not have a guard on it. When you pull the razor up and over your chin area you really have to concentrate on not letting the razor slip. When it does, you're going to cut yourself from the tension backlash.
Would rather they not put a trimmer blade on the razor or make a guard. Finally and this is the biggest issue, the blades. For all their German engineering and manufacturing boasting, they just don't give you a close shave nor do they last very long. I shave a minimum 7 times a week and can get 2-3 weeks out of a Fusion or a Hydro. After about the third shave with Harry's, you can feel the pull. Takes twice as long as you have to continually go over each area. Yes, they are more expensive but you get a better shave, they last longer and no chance of cutting yourself. Nice idea Harry's but your claims and product fall short.

I found 5 blades to be too large to get around my face and crevices. It's like using a cement trowel. The strip of lubricant on the blade is minimal. I found the blade tugs on my beard and I shave after a shower in the morning so my beard is hydrated. I will be going back to my 3 Blade Schick with a better lubricant strip. I just got a sample which I ordered. The blade tugged and pulled on my beard. The handle is pretty but it's slippery as hell when it's wet. They also sent me a shaving gel which is very average. I'll stick to my Mach3 Turbo and Cremo shave cream.

Harry's Razors are a good value. I get 4-5 shaves out of one razor cartridge and my skin looks great. After 2 years using a Winston handle the plastic connector broke and came out of the handle. Harry's sent a new one free and no questions asked. I highly recommend trying this brand.

I have literally never had a razor blade dull so fast. I tried two different razors and multiple blade refills thinking the first was defective. Nope. 2 shaves in, the blade is dull. I’ll go back to buying my razors at the grocery store.

I liked the way the razor shaved, it really did work wonderful, but after ONE use, the blades were rusted. I even kept the protective cover on it. I’ve never had a razor rust like this one did. I’m very disappointed and I won’t be buying anymore.

I tried Harry’s Razor because of its lower price. Unfortunately I got what I paid for: a blade so far inferior to Gillette blades that a first shave with Harry’s felt like a Gillette blade I’d used for several weeks. It was rough and pulled against my face. Also impossible to trim close to nose. I’d rather pay the price for a far superior Gillette blade. Also I’m missing something with the claims about an ergonomic handle. I found Harry’s handle to be more awkward than ergonomic.

I subscribed to an auto ship of blades only and was billed for and received a bar of soap, in addition to the razors! How did that happen? Notification of the additional item came at 10:21 PM, 2 days after the shipment left the warehouse! Not happy with additional products being shipped and charged to my account, so I just cancelled my subscription and will purchase and pay for only those items I need, at a retail location. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be supporting Harry’s and the business practices they have in place... If I ship the soap back, will they pay for the return and credit my account? Probably not. I realize it’s a nominal amount and ask only because of principle.

I love that they are effective and work just as well as what is supposed to be the most innovative razors on the market. Harry's Razors doesn't have all these crazy claims about being innovative or the most complex but a simple razor for men who just want a decent shave without all of the other hassles. I am so happy Harry's have more than this razor but this service. It is really great to not have to leave my home and get a great quality razor.

I wasn't liking the shave I was getting with another brand. And I tried Harry's Razors because of a deal I saw online with them. After 3 months I still like my shave so I've stayed with them. I like that they send me new razors every month for a low cost or when I request. I currently have my account set to have them mailed every two months as I don't go through them that fast so having additional options helps. However I would like a razor with more blades, maybe 5 so I can get a closer shave. I would also like a better gel strip on the top to keep my face smooth. These options would help keep me as a customer.

I chose Harry's Razors because of Hollywood Handbook ads. The ads were funny and they support one of my favorite podcasts. I appreciate companies that support my favorite things. I really like how well it works. Delivery is fast and accurate too. The razors are great quality and keep stubble off my face without issues.

They have nice quality to get the great overall look of the style of the individual. The best style of the best pick. I love what they do as far as price and quality. The most important thing is the quality to go through and reinvent it. I love the quality of the blade.

Easy to order and decent product to use. I did not feel as though the value on this product matched that of say a Gillette razor; however, I did want to try this product since it seemed that very many people were talking about it. There were also many advertisements on the radio shows I listen to on a regular basis.

I began using Harry's years ago when I was looking for a razor with a better price. Gillette is a good razor, but way too expensive. I am very happy with Harry's. There is a trimmer blade on the back, which makes the blade much more useful. I am a big fan of Harry's. Harry's razors have the best price I've seen so far. Also, the service is excellent. I've been a customer for many years, and have not had any issues. I appreciate the quality of products offered by Harry's.

A friend told me about the company so I figured I would give them a try. The razor blades work great and now I would not use any other brand. The razors are sharp but smooth and last a good bit of time between changing. The ordering system that they have set up is very easy to use as well and I have never had a problem with any order that I placed. The price is also very fair for the products that you receive.

I was given a great, low, low priced introductory offer to try the razor and so I took advantage of it. I am so glad I did and I loved the price. It is so easy to spot in my medicine cabinet and stands out from the other dull items.

I tried Harry's Razors because it was new and is now available online and in store at Target. The brand is slick and aesthetically pleasing. I like the design and the accessories or products that go with the razor such as shaving creams and balms. The handle of the blades is ergonomic and very comfortable to hold while shaving. However, the razor quality needs improvements. I find it tugs on the hairs after only one or two uses. Other brands that are more expensive the razor last so much longer that it proves more inexpensive in the long run. Harry's need to recognize this and correct the design of the blades. The products with the exception of the blades are generally very high quality.

They offered a great price incentive. Harry's provides a weighted razor handle with a choice of the color and extra blades. They are sharp blades and last for 3 to 5 shaves depending on thickness of your beard. Harry's Razors are excellent quality for the price added to convenience of home delivery. The extra blades that comes with the weighted handle is an added bonus. Harry's razors are an excellent choice.

I have enjoyed the razors and never had an issue with them. I like how you can also send them to Target to buy the first set. The blades keep their sharpness for weekend and it can be hard to tell when to replace them. I've recommended the brand to people because it's well worth the cost. People I've recommended them to also enjoy how well they perform on a daily basis. However, the blade can come off the handle a bit too easily and the catch should lock in place a little better. There should also be a discount for recommending them to people who buy them, perhaps a code they can put in?

Was offered a free trial. They ship to your house so it is convenient and the quality is good. Great shave for large areas but need to improve detail and smaller shaving jobs. Very good price and innovative quality. I liked it very much but just not as good as what I use now. If it were to improve, I would definitely use it.

The coloring of the razor had initially caught my eye. There was a deal on these razors at Target. With there being a sale, I thought I'd give them a try as I was about to hit the time that I needed to buy new blades. Overall, it is cheaper than the other brands I typically purchase. I normally go with either Gillette or Schick. However, the quality of Harry's blades isn't quite as good as either Gillette or Schick. I did not get nearly as good of a shave as I do from the other two brands I mentioned. Disappointed.

They are good razors. Very sharp, sharp to the point that I was almost cutting my skin. Didn't dull as easily. No give to the handle, so harder to maneuver around body areas. I ended up dropping this brand after a while and going back to a more flexible brand. As a female, it is easier to shave legs when the razor has more give to it to allow for easier maneuverability. Also, I would like a more flexible handle, make it easier to find, not as pricey for just refills. Limited selection in the product, could have more of a selection to match varying consumer needs.

The free handle is well-designed. The replacement blades are less expensive when shipped to me versus buying a competing product at my local Walmart store or online. Harry's Razors get the job done without requiring any design improvements. I wish the handles could use all the different types of blades instead of a specific type of cartridge, though. I have tried Harry's Razors, Dollar Shave Club and Gillette On Demand via trial memberships to earn SB and to stock up on high quality, inexpensive razors and replacement blades.

Harry's prices are great and they deliver their products right to my home. Their delivery options are the best available and it saves me a great deal of time during the week and month. More delivery options would mean more sales to the company too. However, I would improve their selection of products. This company needs to grow its product line in order to offer their customers a more complete line of shaving products and accessories. I think more products would bring more customers to them. Nevertheless, I have had a great experience so far with the company.

I was tired of spending high prices for low quality blades so I tried Harry's razor and loved the experience for half the price of other brands. It's an affordable brand that gives a clean shave. I like using the trim edger on the backside of the blade to touch up certain areas of the face. The blade doesn't dull easily and can be used many times. But the handle where you attached the replacement blade could be longer. When attaching the replacement blade there needs to be a clear way to release the old replacement blade.

These razors are so great and perfect! It makes my skin feel so soft and super silk smooth. The razors are durable & easy to use. If you are looking for a great product this is the one to use. You won't be disappointed. Razors do their job, though they should improve their razors by making them a better quality which doesn't cut your skin. The other razor brands did not fit my need as it had my skin feeling rough and also cutting deep into my skin. They were not the ideal of a perfect razor. They were also not double bladed only single which takes longer to get hair off. But my experience with Harry's Razors was overall amazing.

Harry's is simple, and what I want in a razor- a good razor with a sturdy handle, clean design, understated colors and shape and with a more professional vibe. Some razors are flashy and unnecessarily geared towards men or women- not specifically gendered, or covered with features. I would improve the way to remove and attach the razor head, maybe some type of button or something similar. It's often too easy to fall off or even when I'm not trying to remove it, it's fallen off before. But overall, it's reliable and effective.
