Embrace is a well-built instrument and I like my hearing aids. It has four settings. I have just about full hearing loss in my left ear and the setting I use mostly transmits the sound from my left hearing aid to the right one. So I can hear more sounds from the left side but I hear them in the right ear. But I hear them and that's the main thing. Once, I sent my hearing aids back but I found out that they were okay. The man I talked to may have misunderstood how they were programmed. The people probably checked the hearing aids over but they didn't have to reprogram. That man was also always very nice. He wasn't in a hurry. He answered all my questions and I appreciated that.

I have moderate hearing loss and I need hearing aids because if somebody was talking behind me, I had a hard time hearing. When I was doing a lot of research, I found that hearing aids were quite expensive even with the medical group that I belong to. I was speaking to one of the guys and he told me that there are a lot of products on the market that are half the price but I would have to do the research. There was one particular fellow from Embrace that I spoke to and he let me know everything about the hearing aids and where the store is. He was very informative and he made me feel at rest. He also told me if I have to get batteries, I should go on Amazon, other than going for Walgreens or a CVS, and I can get them for a very reasonable price.
Plus, I signed up with CareCredit and Embrace took it. That was a biggie because buying something online is a tough deal. You don't know what's going on and that showed me that Embrace is reputable. It wasn't a fly by night thing. I also liked the idea that I can put the hearing aids in my ears and they are not noticeable. I got the hearing aids right away and it was painless. There was no hassle and I'm very happy. My Embrace hearing aids have been terrific so far. I've been able to regulate the volume with my phone and it's been working out nicely. They help me and one good thing is that I don't collect a lot of wax in my ear so I don't have to clean them that often.

When I talked to the reps of Embrace Hearing, their product was very comparable to the in-store brands that people were trying to sell me for three times the cost. I got the over-the-ear style of hearing aid from them. Since using it, my hearing has definitely been better, whereas before contacting them my hearing loss was mild to moderate. My biggest trouble was getting used to wearing it for the first few weeks and getting the fit right, but that has been taken care of.
Furthermore, Embrace has been very proactive and they were very fast in responding. My interactions with the reps were very positive and a couple of issues and questions that came up were addressed very quickly. I had to talk with some companies a dozen times to get something addressed or resolved, but with Embrace one conversation took care of everything. I’m happy with the quality and the cost of the hearing aid that I got from them, and I've already recommend them.

My hearing loss was not too bad before, but I was missing a lot of things. I did a lot of research and took my time, and it took about six months before I decided on what brand of hearing aid to get. I read good reviews about Embrace Hearing and they were the cheapest and the best, so I had a really good deal with them. I got the best hearing aid style they had which costs $2400. It's in my ear and there's a little wire around the back of my ear. The service provided was good and the reps have been 100% great. They seemed to know what they were talking about and they gave me good advice. They tried to work things out for me and it wasn't like they were trying to push me off.
Since getting my hearing aid from Embrace, I can hear a lot better now. At first, I was hearing some noises, like a rumbling noise, and the rep told me that I needed to get a bigger size. So, I did that and they put some stuff in my hearing aid, and I've had no problem since then. My wife says I don't have to turn the TV up so loud and say, "Huh?" anymore.

I've tried more expensive hearing aids before but I didn't like them. I decided to go with the hearing aids of Embrace Hearing because of the price and reading some reviews on them. Prior to my reaching out to them, my hearing loss wasn't that bad. I heard well, except with voices, and I did not understand words like in the TV and especially in restaurant settings, but it was bad enough that I needed something. I got the hearing aid that I got goes behind the ear. So far, it has been great and since using it, I've been hearing better. Also, my interactions with the reps have been great.

I have a major hearing loss and it’s still not corrected, but it’s a lot better now with the Embrace hearing aids. I reviewed Embrace and ConsumerAffairs' recommendation online. And then, I did a bit of research and what it boiled down to was the same product for about half the cost. When I called Embrace the reps didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t need. There was one thing that they said I didn’t need, but I wanted it so I bought it.
I have the behind-the-ear hearing aids and having them is dramatic. I can hear birds outside and can also hear my wife. I had a pair of hearing aids that I wouldn’t wear because they didn’t do any good and so, I quit hearing them. But with the Embrace hearing aids, I put them on when I get up at 6 o’clock in the morning and I take them off at night when I shower before I go to bed. They are the highest quality a person can get. I’ve got the upgraded ones with 20 different programs and they’re more than half the cost of what I can get from a hearing aid store.

I had Phonak before and then I bought 3 top-of-the-line Embrace Hearing aids. The only thing that I have concern about is that there are various programs on my hearing aids that I have no idea what they are for and I can’t tell which one I use for which. But I’ve had a good experience with Embrace Hearing. I’m hearing things I haven’t heard in a long time and the quality that I’m getting is really much better than what I had before. I really appreciate that. I had a lot of problem hearing when I was in rooms with a lot of people. I do a lot of lecturing and it was a big problem when I try and hear people when they ask questions and that seems to be resolved now with the new hearing aids.
I’m hearing all the conversations much better, especially good when I’m in a board meeting with some of the charities that I work with. Hearing all the people in the room is now much better and much clearer than it was before. It’s a big advantage to me because I’m able to do my work much better. I’m a professional genealogist so I work with a lot of individuals and family research. I also do a lot of lecturing all around the state of Michigan and now I’m starting to do nationally in the lecturing now. Embrace Hearing helped to give me an income in my retirement. I would definitely recommend these hearing aids. In fact, I’ve already recommended them to my dentist whose mother has a hearing problem and he’s now looking into their hearing aids as well.

I have moderate hearing loss on high frequencies. And after reading a lot of reviews online, it came down to taking the risk due to lower price. Embrace Hearing has half the price on similar quality hearing aids versus those from my audiologist. I got hearing aids that are over the ear and there's a piece that goes inside the ear. And while they are comfortable for hearing aids, they’re not as comfortable as not wearing anything. They’re not painful but I’d rather not wear them like how one wears a contact lens. Other than that, the customer service was fantastic. I’ve had two or three calls to get some advice. I talked to them before I ordered to get some idea of what to expect and in every case, I was very impressed.

I was pleased the first time I bought hearing aids from Embrace and the pricing seemed good, so I went back to them to get another pair. In my old pair, the remote could shut the hearing aids off. The new pair, you couldn’t do that. The only way that you can shut the hearing aids off is by opening the battery. It’s not a big deal but it’s a little less convenient. Also, the first pair of hearing aids came in a single case, and the second pair come in two which is a little bit more awkward. But my second hearing aids are better overall. It filters better and the wind is less of a problem.

I have mild to moderate hearing loss and my son researched hearing aid companies. The rep from Embrace Hearing answered a lot of questions and I ended up buying the H-300. I wasn’t sure about it at first but it turned out really well and the customer help is good. The price is right and the quality is very good. I have recommended it to several people. I told my friends that they need to get it. They won’t be spending $10,000 unnecessarily, they’ll get a good deal and they’ll be able to hear properly.

I had a hard time hearing certain things. I tried some of the hearing aids here in Rockford where I live. They were quite expensive and they didn’t do much. And Embrace had a good rating on the internet, so I tried them. However, I really can’t say that it’s really fixed my hearing. I may be one of these people that they can’t really help. Maybe it’s helped a little bit. But their customer service was right up there. Anytime I had any questions or I emailed them, they always responded right away. I also ordered some additional parts and they came right away. My experience was pretty good.

I destroyed my ears with the bobby pin as a kid and I kept poking them. So, I had ear infection. Then I lost a lot of my hearing. I tried another company for behind-the-ear hearing aids but they hurt with my glasses on, so, I chucked them out. My hearing loss was severe to profound at the time. Then, I tried the in-ear hearing aids from Embrace Hearing. They cost a lot of money but they're cheaper than Lyric. I had the Lyric before and that was $3,600 per year which was ridiculous. Plus, they don’t have any tech. So, I went to get permanent hearing aids, which I don’t wear that often. One time, one of my hearing aids was tuned up so high and I had feedback. I contacted Embrace Hearing and they helped me. They went out of their way to make sure this works for me. All in all, I like the company. They’re pretty good. And so far, I am very happy with my hearing aids.

I have a borderline severe hearing loss in my right ear and no insurance coverage for hearing aids. Embrace Hearing’s price point was affordable so I got the best one that they make and the speech beam. For both ears, what I got from Embrace would have cost me $6000 but I got a state of the art and top of the line product for half that. The Bluetooth capability is cool although I did not think that I would get much use out of that. When I receive a phone call, it gets pumped right into my hearing aid. They can hear me fine and I can hear them great without headphones or anything. I can hear better and it’s a good thing.
But when I got it, I was hearing some buzzing sound coming from the right hearing aid and I attributed that to being occasionally a defective device. But they were saying that it was the fact that I have nerve damage in my right ear. My ear is now hearing what it should be hearing and the brain doesn’t know how to process it because the nerves are damaged. The buzz I was hearing was my brain and not their product but they went the extra mile. I told them that it’s not that I don’t believe them, but I’m skeptical. So they sent me another right hearing aid, programmed it exactly like the one I had and said, “You could be right”. And so they sent me another one and said that if it solved the problem, to send them the other one back. If it doesn’t, to send them the one they sent me back. And they were right.
When I put the other hearing aid in, I had the same buzz, so it’s me. I sent the spare back and thanked them. They told me I have to get used to it. I appreciated it because I’ve given them a lot of money, and I will always have that nagging doubt that I had something wrong versus it was just the fact that my ears were damaged. It couldn’t hear that sound anymore and what it hears comes out as a buzz, because the brain doesn’t know what to do with that signal.
I learned to live with my hearing loss because I can get by but it’s aggravating for me especially with my wife constantly having to ask her to repeat stuff. But now, my life is a lot better and it’s significantly different because of the hearing aid. When we’re driving down the road, my wife is on my right, which is my bad ear but I hear everything she says. If I’m in a crowded restaurant and there are people talking, I can hear everything. Before, I couldn’t pick up what was being said. I knew somebody was saying something but I couldn’t hear it. I should have done it a lot sooner, but I like spending money on Corvettes and guitars too and this was always a bottom priority, but I had to make it one.

My father who has moderate to severe hearing loss uses the H700 Embrace hearing aid, which we got in February. He could hear better with it and it has made a difference. We’ve gone outside and he could hear more things and sounds than he used to. The hearing aid has been working but there were times, he couldn't understand the speech and that's one of his big problems, and even with watching TV sometimes, he couldn't understand the words. I’m not sure what we can really do about it. I was gonna call Embrace but I haven’ had the chance to do it. My father hasn’t seen any Embrace staff too and that’s another thing I wanted to find out if there are any places locally. We just bought the hearing aid online.
But I spoke to Embrace in the beginning about the hearing aids and the interaction I had with them was very helpful. Embrace is fairly easy to work with. And all in all, the hearing aid has been pretty good. We chose Embrace originally because of the cost and some of the reviews about it that I read online. We just started working with them and I just have to learn how to maintain them and change the batteries. I’ve been changing the batteries every nine days. If you have moderate or not really, really severe hearing loss, this hearing aid is worth the price.

My wife went over the internet and researched Embrace and it appeared that they had the best writings of anybody she looked at. I chose to get the H700 because it had everything I needed. I talked to 'em when they asked me the length of the wire and the size of the earpiece. Since having the hearing aid, I can hear. In fact, this morning when I put it on and turned it on, everything was really quiet in the bathroom and I went, “Man, those birds are loud.” It’s like a new world. And I didn’t know that computer keys made a noise and click when you type on. I’m like a little baby, making all these new discoveries.
I am happy with the hearing aids and they’re comfortable. I have remembered to take them off every time I get in the shower. But I get this little gravelly noise and a little feedback when I’ve only had them for four to six weeks. I know that they’re programmed to increase the volume every week or two until they get you up to the top volume. But I can always turn them down when I start getting bad echoes. I just push the button and they turn down a little bit.
The cost was pretty grand. But I think everything is way too much. I bought cars cheaper than that. In relation to the quality, I think compared to everything else that I looked at in the market, it is very reasonable. And their customer service was really nice. I’ve called and talked to them, and they’ve told me what I needed to know. That was how I found out that they save the program to increase volume over time. And I’ve recommended Embrace. I was talking to a friend of mine and he wasn't happy with his hearing aids. I was trying to get him to look at Embrace and I told him that with it, I could hear.

My wife has Embrace hearing aids. She's had hearing aids for 10 years, and the ones from Embrace were replacements for the ones that she had. She had an old-style hearing aid, and we happen to be in Florida for three months and hers shot craps. So I started looking online and found Embrace. Everything I read about them was good. They were rated as one of the top three and they have a 45-day free trial. She had just had a hearing test before we came down here. So, we've got the hearing test sent in to Embrace and got the hearing aids and so far, so good. My wife has had the hearing aids for 90 days and we were just talking about them last night. She doesn't seem to have any issues. It's a lot better than the 10-year-old ones.

I had a doctor recommend Embrace Hearing. I tried their hearing aids and I actually had my hearing test done and they recommended I keep them. I was considering getting rid of them because I was having some fluid behind my ear and that was why I can’t control my hearing. I got the 700 type and I'm able to use the phone with it, hands-free. However last night, I was in a room and we had a speaker and the ceiling is so high, I couldn’t hear a thing. It was just so much noise and it was really difficult.
The sales guy called me when I was wanting to return it. He extended the warranty because I was going through some testing to make sure I wanted to keep them before I committed to them. I’m grateful for that but it was a real slow response time and I was really surprised by that and a little disappointed too. There were a couple of times I called and it took a while for them to get back to me. I called, I had a question and there wasn’t anybody to answer that question at the time. We had to wait for a callback which was frustrating.

After being impressed by the online reviews, I contacted Embrace Hearing, They responded within hours and email exchanges of information ensued. Within the week a technician phoned me to discuss my hearing profile and eventually took my order, even though that was not his job. The order was placed on a Friday and the hearing aids were delivered the following Monday.
I have worn hearing aids for ten years - first Beltones, then Phonaks. The Embrace hearing aids are FAR superior. They are smaller and lighter than my earlier hearing aids and the speaker in the ear, rather than in the hearing aid body behind the ear with its audio output fed to the ear with a sound tube. The tiny speaker cushioned with a flexible anti-feedback diaphragm surrounding it, is practically unnoticeable. No discomfort whatsoever. The surround-sound option is remarkable - it adjusts to its environment so hearing what's important is enhanced more than with my earlier hearing aids. The price is anywhere from 40% less than the competition, on up and they furnished insurance claim forms with necessary technical information for reimbursement entered.

My hearing loss was minor and I chose to go with Embrace Hearing due to reviews online and a cheaper cost. I got the basic model that goes behind the ear and it helps. I sent the audio thing in and the reps sent me the hearing aids and talked a little bit about how it worked, and I was satisfied with that. I also asked them about their support because I'm leaving the country and I'm hoping they can still support it if I've gone somewhere, and they said there's no problem. The battery life isn't really good, but the good news is they aren't that expensive. But they're not rechargeable and it would be much better if the hearing aid itself was rechargeable, instead of having to switch batteries constantly. Overall they're good hearing aids for the price. Unless you have a complicated problem with your ears that they'd have to be adjusted constantly, Embrace Hearing is a good way to go.

I saw Embrace Hearing online and I tried them and you've got to pay for them upfront. If you don’t like it, they give your money back. I don’t wear my Embrace hearing aids all the time. The battery goes dead so fast it's almost impossible to wear them a full day without them going dead. I was told you need to open them up. And I open them up every time I take them off so the battery's not working. But I may get a day and a half out of each one of them. It started out I think I was getting two and a half days, an extra day but all of a sudden it seems like these batteries aren't lasting very long at all.
And another thing, I'm getting a lot of feedback on it. I had a surround sound put on it and maybe that's why I'm getting that echo feedback on it. And so I had to turn it down to the lowest point. But I'm happy with them. I didn’t buy the pair that I had my ears tested because I discovered it's going to be like $7,000. Then I went to Costco and those people were ridiculous. I had to make two appointment trips to go see him and I never did. I don't know Embrace get these things from. They probably get it from China or somewhere else but they seem to work fine. And I cut the profit down in half. The reps at Embrace Hearing all seem to be really good. I think they know about the hearing aid business. They seem to be a legit type company that's trying to help the consumer for a better price. But when you go to an audiologist they seem to want to charge the highest prices that they can possibly find to solve your issues.

I have 40% hearing loss and it's from ranges of sound. I was a journalist for many years and I take notes and then write up the story and what I was having trouble doing is understanding people I was interviewing even when they spelled their name for me. I couldn't tell the difference between C and P and D. And it affected my work so much so I had to do something.
I decided to have Embrace hearing aids because the price was less than half. I would have preferred to use a local provider where I can go over there for adjustments. But I would have had to pay and come up with a couple of thousand more dollars to have that luxury. So I went ahead and bought Embrace hearing aids and I had 45 days to see how it worked. I thought the other brand I was working with locally was probably a little bit better for me but it got $2,500 better.
My hearing aid goes behind the ear. This model was well-formed. It does the job. But with the accessory things I'm not too fond of that remote that comes with it because the one I was trying out from Siemens, the same control was right on the hearing aids. I think the one feature that they had, it automatically adjusts in certain sound situations without having to press any buttons which is a good feature.
And the customer service team responded for me when I had a concern about fit. They treated me very well. When I didn’t understand about the remote because when I first priced everything the remote was going to be like around $120 so I didn’t order a remote because I don't know why I would need a remote. And then come to find out is that changing from one program to the next, it's supposed to happen automatically. But if you want to do it manually, you have to have a remote because you can't do that by pushing buttons on the unit.
When I found that out, I said, "Are you serious? I was used to having those different programs if I can't switch and then select them." So, they threw in a remote for me. They didn’t charge me for the remote so that impressed me. And then when I had some concerns about the fit, they sent me a longer wire or they were supposed to have sent a longer wire but I don’t really think that wire was any longer than what I had. These don’t fit as well as the Siemens one I was trying out but they fit well enough and they're working for me. And in order to get adjustments I have to package them up, mail them back to Embrace and then wait until they adjust it and then they send it back and I see if that adjustment helped. That's kind of awkward. So I have not done that.
But Embrace hearing aids certainly improved my hearing and my work situations and now I understand dialogue in movies. I just kind of go on with what it is instead of taking time to be without them for about a week or more while they do an adjustment. Embrace is a viable option for people. I know it's not in the hearing aid industry. Companies like Embrace are quite controversial because there's a lot of people who research. Some people would say to stay away from the online companies and that people should not be buying hearing aids that way. That you need a personal fitting but in order to get that, you need to spend a hell of a lot more money.
But I think one person in the industry I read, said that he would rather see people have the hearing aids and get their needs addressed than not have a hearing aid because they just can't afford it. And that's kind of the position that I'm in. I got a daughter in college and I decided to use that extra couple of thousand dollars I saved by keeping her student loan debt down. There's a good market in it for a company like Embrace. I've been treated well by them but many years in the future when these wear out I hope I have enough money that I could be able to afford a local provider.

I had problems distinguishing voices in noisy situations. I work with kids and a teacher and we had to sometimes whisper about watching the kids and I could not pick up the whispers in the background noise, so I needed to isolate sounds better. I did a bit of research on the web and saw that Embrace Hearing was rated quite well and it is a fully German product. I have had good positive responses to most things like that and I like that I am getting quality without as much money as somewhere else.
I went with the model with the directional hearing. It was decided as the best for my hearing loss and it turned out to be as I was concerned about the directionality. I am not overly pleased with it though as it does not make a lot of difference. The directionality still does not quite pick sound up. But the hearing aids make sounds more distinct now. The sound is not just louder but is a bit clearer, which was the main thing that I was after. If it is getting loud when I am working with the kids or if I'm on cafeteria duty and I need to be selective, the hearing aids help me with that. Having to really be able to pick up some subtle things, the hearing aids made me be able to do my job. I can keep this job forever.
Dealing with Embrace's customer service team has been a positive experience. Everything worked well. Now, if only I could get the same thing for $300 rather than $2500, I would like that. But it's worth looking into. Do the audiologist. Go through that whole procedure and see their recommendations. And if they suggest, "Okay. Hearing aids are part of the answer to your problem," then, I would recommend them from there.

He answered all the questions that I had, and then I decided to go ahead and take a chance and use them. The product was shipped almost immediately. The instructions to deal with it worked well and I’m happy with it. I would tell others not to have any concerns about buying something over the internet through Embrace. Everything that they told me was exactly how it was and I have already recommended Embrace to at least three or our people that are looking into it.
My hearing loss before was moderate to severe and I chose Embrace for its cost. The H-700 was the latest one and it had everything that I wanted on it. As far as streaming from TV, I can hear the TV really well now and I don't have to strain. There were some programs that I really couldn't get anything from as the sound was so distorted. Generally, the cost for a hearing aid seemed too high. My sister bought some hearing aids from Miracle-Ear which cost $7,000. I researched on the internet and I figured that Embrace Hearing had a quality product and I’d save some money. But, I was a little apprehensive because you don’t need to follow up test. Still, I bought the 700 Plus with SpeechBeam which is their top of the line model. It costs $2,800 so I saved some money. Overall, it seems like a good product. I have TV on my computer so I stream sound into my earphones and I like the remote control. However, I had problems with overpowering noise so I called them. I sent the hearing aid back to have it reprogrammed. They reprogrammed the unit and the process went smoothly. It helped quite a bit. It could be better but I would still recommend them.

I’m deaf as a post and I’m 78. I like my Embrace Hearing aids and it’s better than what I had before. Plus, it was less expensive and seemed to offer the same or better performance. But I still have trouble with conversations and hearing people and I have to get the volume all the way to the top before I really hear things. The uStream has some effect, but I’m not really sure exactly what it’s supposed to do and if it gets too far away from me, it starts clicking. I got my hearing aids tested and I had changed the wax guards, and that made a big difference.
Still, I think that I shouldn’t have to be turning it up that much. My power levels aren’t set up right and the algorithm that they’re using isn’t working. The other thing is I get too much on the high-range. My low-range is where I get a big hearing loss, so I can understand why they're pushing it up. I can still hear low, but it isn’t in the curve that they have. Also, I don’t know why the voice is echoing and I would like to get rid of that. Other than that, Embrace Hearing is a good outfit.

I have a partial hearing loss and I’ve been with Embrace Hearing for quite a while now, mostly due to their price. I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and hearing aids cost double than what I paid Embrace Hearing online. I checked them out and was impressed with what I saw and went with them. I now have my second set from them and the one I have stays behind my ear. These hearing aids are a necessary evil. I don't like wearing them but they help me out. They have improved the acuity of hearing. It can pick up sounds and it’s much more pleasant in a crowded room than it used to be in the old set. And Embrace Hearing's customer service is the best part of the whole thing. I dealt with Tim and he was excellent, especially the first time. I would talk to him and get an immediate response. He’s a real problem solver. I recommended them to a friend and he’s having the same good response. I’m completely satisfied with Embrace Hearing.

I needed to replace the hearing aids I got in 2011. The place in town was expensive so I looked at what else was available out there. I went online and did some research. Embrace had very helpful reps and I got their most expensive unit for my partial hearing loss. I like them better than my older hearing aids. They are more discreet and I like the little handheld remote that turns it up and down. The only other thing is the thing that you hook up to the television so that the television plays on the hearing aids doesn't seem to work very well. Also, my insurance was supposed to pay $1,000 but they told me that I would have to do that on my own. Other than those, I'm very satisfied across the board with my experience.

I started at Costco and they put in a hearing aid and they told me to walk around. That didn't tell me anything about the hearing aid so I went online for a couple of brands that I tried at Costco and there weren't many good responses from the people who had purchased them. I continued looking and Embrace was on there and it said it was strictly an online company. There were 160 responses for the company and all but 10 were positive. That said a lot because with another company if there 50 responses, 35 were negative which was not good.
I had a woman call me on a Saturday night from New York in her home at nine o'clock her time. I did a Skype so that she could look at my ear and see what I was doing. That was absolutely going overboard but she was marvelous. What happened was I had a terrible time putting this thing into my ear. We went round and round with that. My kids were holding the phone so that the lady in New York could see what I was doing. And when my kid who has hands that are big enough to hold a basketball out it in my ear, she said that was right. It took me a while because I was so excited but I got an absolutely phenomenal response.
I bought their top of the line which was $2,500 for both ears and that was very reasonable. Right now though, there's a defect in my hearing aid. It was playing music in one ear. It was trying to do something and couldn't. And when the batteries ran low, it would play two notes in my ear and I'd know that I'd have two hours to change the batteries. I normally change both at the same time because it was just a short period of time until the other one would go bad. But this one, I finally counted, it was 34. I called Embrace and they said to send it back and they would give me a new set because there was a mechanical and an electronic problem.
I went with a top brand six months ago, a walk-in and it's stand-alone at an Otolaryngologist. It was $6,500. I have a cousin who is profoundly deaf and that's the one she has and it's marvelous for her. But I'm at the beginning scale, putting my hand behind my ear and missing those little bits of conversations. I thought my hearing wasn't bad enough to justify $6,500. When I looked at Embrace, I thought that for $2,500, I got the Cadillac or whatever the best car was nowadays. The one I have has a multi-directional hearing and microphones, back, front, side. And if I'm sitting at the table and someone to my left is talking, it makes that side go a bit louder and cuts down on the right side. And if the conversation lead person changes, so does the hearing aid. It has a lot of nice pluses and it hearing aid enhances my hearing a lot.
Overall, the service of Embrace has been unbelievable and there doesn't seem to be a "No. I can't do it." They just seem to be "Give me a minute and I'll call you back." It's quite remarkable. They're wonderful with responses, with contact, following through and calling up. But there's always something to improve on like having a stand-alone where a customer could walk in and somebody would say, "You're here for an Embrace. No charge. This is how you put it in your ear."
Other than that, if anyone wants to have a hearing enhancement that they can afford and that has marvelous customer service, they should call Embrace. They can also go online and talk to Embrace. Most of the time, I talk to a seller named Kim and this other woman also is a hearing aid audiologist, the one who called me from New York. I would absolutely, unequivocally recommend Embrace to anybody who was asking. I even recommend the company even when they're not asking.

I've been wearing hearing aids for the past 15 years due to moderate hearing loss in both ears. Last May, I experienced sudden profound hearing loss in my right ear (probably congenital). My hearing aids were about 5 years old (Costco brand), so I needed something that was a little more powerful and up-to-date. After visiting two local audiologists and seeing what they had to offer - Resound, Phonak and Starkey brands, and reading their reviews on this site, I decided to give the Embrace H-700 a try. I also purchased the BlueTooth remote and TV streamer. I purchased just the left hearing aid as I had tried a CROS version in another brand and didn't like it. That was in October, so I've had the hearing aid for almost four months.
All I can say is I am very satisfied with the product. I love how I can stream music and tv programs directly to my hearing aid. Now I can listen to music (or other programs) while at work without having to mess with putting in an earbud and taking it out, and putting in my hearing aid when someone comes to talk with me. I can watch tv after my husband goes to bed and I don't have to use the closed captioning on the tv anymore. I have been thoroughly pleased with this product and have told several people about it. I think it is a shame that traditional hearing aid companies charge so much for an inferior product, and am so glad that there are more options available online. I whole-heartedly recommend the Embrace hearing aid.

I’ve had hearing aids for the past seven years. Oticon was quite pricey and the Embrace Hearing aid has a more reasonable price. I got their top-of-the-line device and it came with a remote device for various modes. It seems to help if I get the correct mode in various situations. It's doing the job, though I have issues with back audios. I always set the mode to something that I can live with since I don't have the remote with me most of the time.
The team was quite responsive and there was an after purchase call several times inquiring if I was okay with them. The hearing aids had a positive effect on my life, but it helped my wife more than myself because when I watch the TV, I don't have the volume as high. Also, purchasing it was straight and simple and I was comfortable with doing it online. I am happy with what I received and satisfied with my experience. I’ve recommended Embrace Hearing to several people.

It also has Bluetooth connectivity and because of it, I can have the television volume adjusted without affecting other people. When I’m watching something on a laptop or using my phone, I can have the stereo adjusted too. But it only works on very new TVs that have Bluetooth and they should say that in the material. This is my first hearing aid and it took a couple of weeks to get used to it.

My Embrace Hearing hearing aids are extraordinary. My insurance had a $2500 deductible and they gave me a special rate, so I got them for $2300. I also got the uStream with it, which is an absolute must. The earpiece itself adapts to the environment and if it doesn't, you have four different settings for different environments. 90% of the time, I don't need to change the setting since the hearing aids do it themselves. Then, the other times, I pick the setting for music so I can listen to music. I'm a real music buff on oldies and when I listen to classical and classic rock music before, I lose the high notes. I have music stored on my computer that I haven't listened to in eight years and when I listen to it now, it's just like, "Boom".
The people there were like my friends. They really cared. From the first time I called them until I got my unit, the rep that I got followed up, asked me if everything was okay and if I needed to have an adjustment. It was like a friend calling me to make sure it was okay. They also told me everything to expect that would be out of the normal, good or bad, which I didn't get from my audiologist or other people. So when I put the unit on, I was aware of the things that might happen. They told me that there's normally a four to six week period to adapt to the unit, but I have moderate to severe impairment. When I thought my unit stopped working after two days, they gave me a website to go to for a cleaning. My audiologist says I have no wax in my ears, but when I went to the cleaning site and I had the equipment cleaned it, it had wax in there. It wasn't the equipment, but my body.
They also did my insurance forms since they're in the industry and they know all the answers that the insurance company is going to ask. I sent them a blank reimbursement form. They filled it out, and they put all the codes in there that the insurance company would normally ask for, that I would never have known. I then had a two-minute call with the insurance company since the codes they were looking for were already in the application. It was really impressive.

I had a pair of Phonak hearing aids that I wasn't totally satisfied with, but they were pushed to me by my audiologist. They were getting toward the end of their useful life of four and a half years, so I did some research on what would be my best bet, and I came across Embrace Hearing’s website. I read some reviews and their ratings were much higher than anybody else's across many platforms, while the Phonak was rated the lowest. I was interested in the SpeechBeam technology and I like that Embrace hearing aids were engineered in Germany. I thought I'd give Embrace a try and I got the 700 with SpeechBeam.
I also bought the remote that hangs around your neck and the TV stream. I like being able to use a Bluetooth feature to answer and speak on the phone without touching it. Plus, Embrace hearing aids really help when I'm watching a movie on TV to have the soundtrack in my ears rather than being subject to the acoustics of the room, which can sometimes make it seem muffled even with hearing aids. I’m still getting the audio from the speakers, but I’m also getting it through my hearing aids. And I can adjust the volume both with the TV streamer and with the buttons on the hearing aid, or with the little Bluetooth remote. My wife hates to listen to advertisements on TV, so she'll mute the TV, and that mutes the speakers. It doesn't actually mute the audio signal, so I still get the commercials in my ear.
Once, I had trouble getting the TV streamer to work, and it turned out to be a problem with my audio system. I had to get something that would split the audio signal out of the HDMI cable and route it to the TV streamer with an optical cable, and I figured that out on my own. But I had another issue getting something to work with Bluetooth, and the people from Embrace called me back and walked me through it, and it worked fine. Their customer support is really good and I am satisfied. The whole package I paid Embrace was a little under $2800, and the Phonak I had were $4200, so the value for what you pay Embrace Hearing is very high.

We’ve had Embrace Hearing for approximately two months and I'm very happy with them. The product and service that they’ve provided have been good. This is my wife’s hearing loss and she had been wearing hearing aids for about five years, and the hearings aids she has now are an improvement over those. We tried about five other hearing aids and I knew extensively two or three of them. We only tried the top-of-the-line Embrace and the other ones were top-of-the-line from the other manufacturers like Phonak. There were little differences but not too significant and we decided to go with Embrace. We went with the high-end one, the 700, and we also got the high-quality remote with it. The regulation of the sound coming in is my favorite. My wife doesn’t have as much problem with the screaming occasionally like she had with her old ones and it adjusts to the situation fairly well.
We had asked customer service quite a number of questions through the process of using it and they were all properly answered. I'm well satisfied with the customer service that we got. Embrace Hearing has improved her hearing in most situations. The price was good relative to the other alternatives that we had although it wasn’t a significant factor in our choice. It would be nice if I didn’t have to ask for details and classifications. And it might also be valuable to have some other way of testing the hearing than going to a testing service of some sort. I would recommend Embrace Hearing to a friend and I would advise them to be sure that they had a good test chart done before they send it into Embrace because everything depends on that as to the way they adjust it, other than some verbal advice that you might give them as to specifics on how you want them adjusted.

We ordered the H-700 online as it seemed to fit the need that my husband had. The cost was high but it was competitive with some of the others and lower than some.
A rep called to make sure that the hearing aids were working like they should. And if we had a problem with them, we could get them fixed. With Embrace, my husband can participate in conversations a little bit better now. But he says he can't hear on the phone with them. I looked Embrace Hearing up on the internet and found out it was a good quality product, and it was supposed to have been, according to the people that I've talked with, the same quality of the others at a less expensive price. It's been five months ago that I've started this process, and I've been rather disappointed in what I expected it to be because I went to a hearing specialist here in our hometown and he put a set of hearing aids on me but I did not like the results of it.
When I went with Embrace, I was expecting something better. There are certain times when I can hear just as well without it as I can with them. I've done everything they've told me to do as far as changes, like the filters and turning them up or turning them down. If I turn them up too high, I get feedback. If I turn them down too low, they don't help me so I don't know what to do with it.
I can hear better with them most of the time but it's not what I expected it to be, the improvement that I was really hoping for. The only question that I had was the feedback and the customer service rep told me three things to do and I have done all three of those things but it hasn't helped. None of them have helped any except tuning it down. And when I turn it down, then I can't hear any better than I could without it. In certain situations, there are certain tones and sounds that I'm okay with but there are some that had been going on a lot, then I get the vibration. If I'm carrying on a conversation with two people, I may hear one of them just fine but I'll get the vibration from the other. If I had to do it over again, I would pay the extra money for the service and gone to where I could carry it in and get it checked by somebody that I can sit down and talk to personally.

Their product was certainly better and their price was considerably less than others. The reps were really wonderful. When I compared where they were made and who made them and the quality that they assured me, I have no reason to doubt that I got a very good hearing aid for a third of what it would cost me at a hearing aid place.
I recommended Embrace Hearing to my doctor who was looking for a hearing aid. I then emailed Embrace and they thanked me for recommending them. They give you their phone number and they are very good about contacting me directly. If you email them, they email right back, and as far as I'm concerned, they've done everything very well and you can call them if you have any problem. I worried at first because I thought the hearing aid places said I'd have to come in three or four times to get hem adjusted. I can hear in my left ear but my doctor told me that the right ear was never going to be like the other because I had no eardrum. But the sound was distinguishable and I was not having to turn my head and say "Huh?" and ignore conversation because I couldn't hear. I haven't heard out of that one ear for 45 years but I got Embrace which is the hearing aid I've had for the first time in my life.
Everything I've read about Embrace hearing aid was positive and there wasn't really any negative review at all that was of any importance. I communicated with them via email initially then I got a phone call from a salesperson. I explained the situation to them and they told me what I needed to do as far as getting hearing tests. I did that and I emailed them a PDF of the hearing test. They called me back and said that they thought a hearing aid would definitely be beneficial. They wanted to sell me two which I declined at that point figuring that I've heard out of one ear all this time and I didn't really have the money to spend for two.
Now, I hear conversations in quiet and loud places and have absolutely no problem with the hearing aid at all. In fact it's all been 100% positive and I've also recommended Embrace to a couple of other people, two friends of mine. My boss and I were in Vegas at a show the first week in November and he didn't even know I got a hearing aid and asked what I had in my ear. He said he couldn’t even see the hearing aid because it's very discreet. When I took it out and handed it to him I told him that was set for my hearing loss so it was going to be different for him. But he stuck it in his ears and he said he could hear himself. A good friend of mine just asked me about the hearing aid this week too and I told him the same thing. I told him that it's has been an incredible experience and I highly recommended that he go get a hearing test and try it. He was not going to find them any cheaper anywhere else with that quality.
Embrace was very good at telling me what was going to happen and how things were going to go over the next two to four weeks because of my brain processing noise that it had never heard before. It was just very weird to hear a bird chirping in my right ear that I've never heard before. But I've really not had much follow up from them. After I've had that thing for 30 days, they could maybe make a phone just checking, wanting to see how thing have been going, and wanting to know if there was anything they could do. Nobody called though. But their email communication has been excellent.

I was attracted to Embrace Hearing by the German technology. I also got a lot of explanation in things that concerned my need for better hearing capacity and they sent me information on certain concerns I had about my previous hearing device. It was a very good brand but the hearing aids were the ones you put inside your ear and had only 12 channels and one microphone. Now with Embrace Hearing, I have two microphones on each side. They are also outside the ear and have 20 channels. One way or another, that has improved my hearing capacity of certain tones and refined very much my capacity to hear in larger areas, like meeting areas. I can understand almost everything that people are talking about now.
The device is top quality and the people were always available. I would ask something and get an answer in almost the same day. Whereas I called a couple of retailers and I didn’t get an answer in four days so even though those retailers are physically around the area, they are not accessible if I wanted something in a hurry. It took me four months of searching around the internet for the experience of people with different brands and retailers and I feel extremely protected by the things I read from Embrace Hearing regarding services and attention, which were mostly positive.
My hearing has improved 200% and my life changed a lot positively. It is normal for people my age to have some hearing deficiencies but I got to a point that I want to look at the person when they are speaking in front of me and look at their lips talking to capture a little bit more. I had become very apprehensive about the deficiency and about going to meetings or being around people because I couldn’t understand everything that they were saying. I got a mid-tier hearing aid from Embrace Hearing. This one only has three programs, then there's the default program. The hearing aid products in this particular country are vastly overpriced. This device, if you were in Europe, would not cost you anywhere near what this cost us. The price was moderate and I understood the technology. The technology is not all that advanced and is just a modification of the one that our grandparents wore.
The theory behind this is instead of putting your head close to the speaker, the speaker is now in your ear with an amplified sound. It had pretty high reviews with some mild reservations that they should be there and it doesn't have enough negative reservations to be believable. No one gets 100%, even if it's just a personal dislike since we have individual tastes.
My wife, who is far more analytical than I am, reviewed the various types, styles, and functionalities. Also, we already had a hearing exam with the audiologist and had an idea of services, problems, features, et cetera. A few minutes ago, I was saying to my wife that I could see myself sending it back for a full refund, but I couldn't. The full program that they installed here, based on the audiogram that was provided by me from my audiologist, is used to bring my hearing to some reasonable degree of normal, not 15-year old normal but normal enough to hear certain things. Your brain becomes accustomed to sound so you feel comfortable with it. Now, I could hear everything everybody's saying and I can hear the television quite well in some cases, depending on the program whereas before I kept asking what was said.
However, the device produces a level of sound that can be very annoying. The earphones from one of my Apple devices are much better than this. I told my wife that if this is great, then good is enough for me because I'm hearing things and it is annoying as hell. I went out on my boat and I'm listening to the engine. I had programmed my mind and my mind programmed my hearing to determine whether I hear something that's not right.
However, this is all new so it all sounds bad. Sometimes more is less so I was thinking about sending it back and I can get something that's basic. This is an open-end system with an amplifier in the front that has a program. It can be made for $75. I don't use my fingers behind my ear and I use a remote. It's supposed to have a little bit better workmanship since it's a German product but I could get more for $75.

I purchased the H-700 from Embrace Hearing for 950 bucks! Their product's cost and quality are comparable to other companies. I listed two others and they were pretty similar. The hearing aid makes it a little easier to hear when I’m in a group. I work outside, and I don’t wear it much. But it makes it a little easier to participate. If I had a few questions, I called the team and they called me back. I’d been very satisfied. It’s just nice to be able to hear a little bit better again.

My old hearing aids work but I find them minimal. I took my hearing test and I told the doctor that I was going on the internet to get a hearing aid from Germany but he said that I should be careful because I don't have a person to go to, only the telephone calls. I decided to take a shot at going through the internet and I found Embrace Hearing. Everybody there was very good and very nice. The rep asked me some questions and I decided to buy their hearing aids. The hearing aids from Embrace Hearing were not perfect but compared to those I had before, these are much better. There are a few kinks I have to work out though.
Most of the time the beam speech is good. It's supposed to make you understand the words better. However, I still have a lot of trouble hearing if someone has an accent. The accent gets spread when I speak to someone with an accent over the phone. I've been dealing with my hearing loss for years. I’m 91 with neuropathy in my fingers so it’s hard for me to put the hearing aid in. One of my daughter who lives with me puts it in for me and it works. But a couple of times, the batteries just work for four days and they’re not rechargeable. I just use the batteries they sent me and the ones I originally used on my old one since it’s the same. Overall, I’m satisfied and I think it’s a good brand.

I bought the H-700 Embrace Hearing aid. They were comfortable and I like the cost of their products. Their reps treated me very well. I was always happy with them. But I also went to Miracle-Ear and purchased a Miracle-Ear hearing aid at the same time. Since it was my first hearing aid, I was really unsure about how to address the issues that I had. I wound up deciding to go with Miracle-Ear because I can go and talk to somebody immediately, and they can do some adjustments to the hearing aid that I didn’t know Embrace hearing aids could do so I sent them back
Now that I have my Miracle-Ear hearing aids for a while, I think that if I'm going to own a new hearing aid again, I would go back to Embrace because I like the way they fit and the way their reps responded. I didn’t realize that I can send back the hearing aids to them and they can adjust it. I never asked a question and they never offered to have them sent back when I notice some issues. I would have liked to have known that. Nevertheless, Embrace has got great hearing aids. In fact, I thought they were more comfortable than the Miracle-Ear. And although it is one and a half times more expensive than Miracle-Ear, I am happy with the Embrace product overall. Their reps were professional, courteous and helpful.

We've had good luck with Embrace Hearing. My wife, mother and I were eager to find something better for my father and we found them online. They were recommended on a clearing house list of different peoples' experiences with hearing aids. They had high reviews from a variety of crowd-sourced internet spokespeople. And their reps have been eager to help. Since we purchased the hearing aids, they led to an improvement in well-being. Whatever the technology is, it's just superior. It makes it easier to engage better quality of life. The hearing aids are better than the previous ones and they function better right off the bat. Plus, they're easier to adjust and maintain. It's still surprising how difficult the old ones were to maintain.

My daughter did a research on the internet and found the information about Embrace Hearing because here in Victoria, hearing aid providers charge, want too much money and won’t use my insurance, and it still would be $3,000. And with the insurance, it would end up costing me $7,000 and I don’t understand any of that. I got the Embrace H300 and H700 although I have some problems with my right ear, which I’ve had the same problem with the other hearing aids that I had. I can't get it to fit it in my ear so when my daughter was here a couple of weeks ago, I asked her to put a smaller thing in the hearing aid. There is nothing wrong with the hearing aid, I just haven’t found the right way to put it in there. I can do the left ear fine, but my right ear, I had to fight a little bit with it and it's time for me to get used to it. I’ve had my old hearing aids for five years and they went way into the ear and made my ears hurt and swell up.
I had to take them off because my ear would be sore for a few days before I could use the hearing aid again. I have been checking different places and they all were pretty expensive. I was unhappy with the hearing aids they showed me. With the insurance, I had to use those big old things and I didn’t want those. I wanted something that would get closer to the eardrum because the other way, I would get a lot of static when I would get on the phone and I have to get the phone away. I never learned to use the hearing aid with the phone because I kept it too close. But the Embrace is perfect. I feel very comfortable and I like the way it all came out. I even got the remote with it because it's hard to take them off and adjust them and then you have a hard time putting them back on. So, I had to consider different things that would be better for me than the way I had them before.
My daughter did all of the interactions with Embrace Hearing and she did a lot of it through the computer. I talked to one person regarding the insurance and reimbursement and I told them that I had charged my hearing aids to a credit card because I have five years with it when I needed them. So far, my hearing is improving a lot because they don’t have to repeat everything to me a few times if I don’t understand some of the words. They would say one thing and I hear it totally differently.
And my husband is the one that would care enough about it because he would be trying to tell me something and I would look at him and say, “Well, what was that all about?” It was really getting worse so I'm happy now that I have a good quality that I can depend on, and I can hear. I feel happy and very comfortable with the product. If I need them, I will go back. Now that they're on, I need to have a different hearing check, but I can get that done at Sam’s or in some places that offer a free hearing.

I got Embrace Hearing's H700 product but I'm disappointed with the service that I'm getting. I called them to get the hearing aids adjusted since it was way too noisy. I sent it back on a Monday and they said that as soon as they got them on Wednesday, they'd return them the same day but that was a week ago. I called them on Wednesday and they hadn't received the hearing aids. So I got on with the post office and they said that the address wasn't complete as it didn't have a street number on it. On Friday, I got a notification from the post office that the hearing aids were delivered. The people from Embrace called me and said that they finally found the hearing aids but it would be Monday until they receive them. They would adjust them and send them back the same day, but today is Thursday and I still haven't received them. Embrace didn't follow through. Consumer Reports has a very extensive section on hearing aids moderated by a nurse who specializes in hearing disability and hearing aids. And she ranked various hearing aids and gave the highest possible marks to Embrace Hearing. I had previously been to a local store that did an audiology test. They were pushing Oticon Hearing Aids. So, I naturally looked up Oticon and saw that their ratings were not very good. So I purchased the top-of-the-line H700 model of Embrace Hearing with surround sound and I like the fact that it's highly automated. It comes with a little remote control, so I know what I'm doing and what the hearing aid is telling me in response.
The price was also a very attractive feature. The top-of-the-line model for Oticon at the local store cost $6000, but with Embrace Hearing, it was not even half of that even with surround sound. Also, my major reason for buying them was to help me hear the dialogue on television shows better. My wife got tired of me asking what the person on the TV said.
However, the left piece was not working and even though I got the audio indication that it was on when I closed the battery door, I still didn't hear very well through the aid. I complained to their customer service and the rep suggested a couple of weeks ago that I take some time to clean out the wax. He was kind and very responsive in providing help when I wrote to him and I'm not shy about saying something if I need some help. I even owe him a response saying I had done what he said and he was right that cleaning makes it better. Overall, my experience with Embrace was very satisfying. I'm well pleased with the hearing aids. They worked as expected and as advertised and they certainly helped with watching television. I would recommend Embrace Hearing.

After researching on the internet I purchased Embrace Hearing's top-of-the-line product, the E70 hearing aid. Embrace Hearing is a good company and they're as advertised. They've got an intelligent approach to customer service. The service was okay and I liked what I saw. But I'm still working with them on the feedback problem. I've talked to them a few times because they sent me the long receiver coil and I asked to change to the shorter one. This is the coil that goes from the microphone to the ear. Also, when they sent the product the first time, they switched the boxes around and put the right ear hearing aid in the left box, but that's a minor thing. Plus, they neglected to send the plastic call retention coil. But all of those issues were straightened out fast.
It would be very nice if they could set up a system whereby the reprogramming can be done online with the customer rather than having to send the hearing aid back to them. Right now, if the customers have to reprogram, they have to send their hearing aids back and that certainly makes Embrace Hearing not as competitive as other companies like Oticon where you go to the office and they change the program right there.

I couldn't afford what the locals wanted so I went online and chose Embrace Hearing for their price and the fact that it was manufactured in Germany. I know you can't always trust what you read online but in my case, it turned out okay. The hearing aids came quickly and they are good, and I know that because I paid $4,000 for hearing aids prior. They were eight years old so, it was a big improvement over my old ones. The only drawback is that I'm in Canada and they're in the States, there's a risk of getting lost if I send the hearing aids back for correction and that they can't test how they're working right on me. But they've been super to get back to me quickly with an email to show me a video on how to change the wax protection and the domes etc.
I can hear better now but I'm not happy with the way I hear the television. I don't know if my hearing aids need adjusting but they told me that I could buy an enhancement for it. Embrace could get a few technicians here in Canada because I found three different places after I got the Embrace Hearing aids to have them adjusted, to see if they're working properly, and every place wanted $500 per ear. Then, they tried only to work the service you came for which is a bunch of crap because when I had my past hearing aids, I only needed to service them about three times. So, that's what Embrace could do.
Nevertheless, Embrace’s cost and quality were good compared to the Phonak I had before which was an old technology. Also, I didn't reach $2,000 for two of them and if I were to replace them, I went locally to see what it would cost me and it was up to $7,000 for a really good set. The service is good. It's unfortunate that they haven't gotten a technician around but they can give service online. Overall, the service was as expected as they told it would be online however, their business would be better if they could invent some software whereby the hearing aids could be adjusted online.

I decided to go with Embrace because of their price, their reviews and their quality. I did everything online and it was fairly simple. I can bypass other companies on the way I feel about these hearing aids. They're good. The Bluetooth part is my favorite. I could play music, talk on the phone hands-free and all that good stuff. I have the over-the-ear ones right now. I'm outside a lot. With the heat we've had around here, the sweat goes on these hearing aids so they get wet and slide out. But they work pretty well. Also, I'm a fireman, so when I'm going inside burning houses, I had to bend down a certain way or go upside down and the hearing aids fall off sometimes. So next time, I want to try the in-the-ear hearing aids.
It's a little difficult to get used to, like hearing all the noises, but the guy forewarned me about that. Having a one-on-one with somebody is good and I have the speech band on it. But these hearing aids pick up the irrelevant noises that I don't need to hear and I'm trying to focus on somebody's conversation that I'm talking to. That's the negative part about these hearing aids. I've tried my friends' hearing aids and theirs is a lot different with the quality and the noise. They don't get that robotic sound. Nevertheless, there has been a big improvement with my hearing. Embrace is good and better than dropping $6,000 which I'm not sure that it's going to work.

I’ve tried a different brand of a hearing aid and I wasn't satisfied with them. A friend recommended Embrace Hearing, so I went with that and it turned out okay. Embrace is less expensive than other companies and the product was superior to the other one I tried. Also, they were there if I needed to ask a question. The other company I dealt with didn't care if I bought their products or not and also, they didn't have any answers for any questions I had. So, I just wasn't happy with that.
I'm happy with my H-700 hearing aids. They work well. It has volume control and more than one program available for noisy situations. The product is good, I just wish the batteries lasted longer. But that's partly my fault because you're supposed to leave them, sit for a minute before you put them in your hearing aid. Whenever my hearing aid batteries go out on me, I'm never in a position to do that. But that's not a big issue. Maybe they'll come out with a headgear that picks up sunlight and operates them. I was having some feedback problems because the dome that sits in my ear is not tight enough. I talked to someone at Embrace Hearing and they sent me out a package of a larger size and it worked.

My dad is in his seventies and he was having a hard time, especially in church where there's a crowd. So we thought maybe he needed some hearing aids. He had tried the Starkey brand before but it was uncomfortable. So when I read about Embrace Hearing online, I thought it was a good, discreet and comfortable hearing aid. He is using the medium-sized open dome and he loves them. They worked great, though they had to be adjusted a little bit. Based on his audiogram, the home button setting on his remote was a little too high and a little uncomfortable so he just sent them back to have that reduced. After that, they've been perfect.
He is a doctor and it is perfect even when he uses his stethoscope with them, or when he uses his phone, he's in the church, or he's in meetings. So he is very happy with them. I definitely recommend it. I also have lots of people in Nairobi, Kenya who are so interested in it but they do not have it there.

Once, a local hearing aid shop here had a free trial, so I went there and had a hearing test. Then I tried their hearing aids for a month for free and I saw that there was a huge difference, but they were like $6,000. So I went online to see what else I could find, and Embrace had basically the same quality for under $2,000. That’s a third of the price. I also had another pair of hearings aids before but they weren't effective anymore. So now with the Embrace hearing aids, I hear a whole lot better. They're comfortable too, and I like them. I really like dealing with the people at Embrace as well.

I decided that I was going to do a little research and look for hearing aids that had positive feedback after I tried on a set from the ear and eye hospital and was not satisfied. I found quite a bit of positive feedback for Embrace Hearing and they also beat the price of what I had previously tried. They were much more reasonable for what I could afford and very comfortable. Sometimes I have a little itching in one ear but I don’t think it's the hearing aid itself. The remote feature is my favorite. I can control a little bit of the outside sound and some of the sounds that I don’t need. I can also lower and raise it with that feature.
The only negative that I have is that my ears get a lot of wax in them and I'm having a difficult time keeping them clean. Also, it seems like there's a process of taking those apart and putting them back together that we had to do on one occasion because it stopped working and I'm not sure I can do it again. The next time I got to do it, I may have to call and have someone run me through it because it seemed like it was a little complicated. They back them up for two years.

In all the places my husband first went to, the regular price of the hearing aid for him would be $8000 for each ear. So, we decided we were going to do some investigating to see if we could manage to not have to pay that much but we really wanted quality too. Ultimately, our finances was the deciding factor why we went with Embrace Hearing and I don’t know why other places charge that much anyway. I went online and got the H-300 for my husband. It goes in the canal and then it has a little clear thing that comes out and goes behind the ear.
We had to send it back to have the church program taken off and the wind program put on, and their representatives answered the phone right away and took care of us. Afterwards, they helped us with all the insurance papers. The insurance paid $2000 for the hearing aid and it’s been great. The hearing aids have the remote and my husband uses his phone to reprogram it when he needs to, which is easy to do. If we’re in the winds, he changes it to wind. When we’re at a restaurant, he just puts on the restaurant. It’s been nice and the restaurant and auto features have also been very useful. We’re really happy with the hearing aids.
When he takes the hearing aids off at night, he said it’s like he could sense the silent world. Then he puts it on in the morning and he can hear. It's impacted not just his but my quality of life too. We couldn't have gotten a better pair. We’re thankful that we found Embrace Hearing and that they were all that we hoped to get with a hearing aid company.

I had an audiology exam and the cost of what I wanted from an audiologist was way more than what I could afford. When I talked to the audiologist, I asked her point-blank, “Why shouldn’t I just get online and purchase these online?” And she lied to me saying it’s illegal. I researched and found out it’s not illegal as of 2011. I had no feeling of loyalty towards her at that point. I then found Embrace online and called them. I was impressed with the guy I was talking to. They went with me on the phone, really knowledgeable. They took the reports that the audiologist sent them and saved me a ton of money. I paid 2,900 for two versus the normal that’s 7,000, which was no way. I had the hearing aids in two days mailed from New Jersey. So you can’t hardly beat that.
I’ve been real happy with the hearing aids. They’ll never be your original ears but these are as good as you could get. They’re of quality. They certainly enhanced the high pitches, which is what I needed. My ears just tend to itch anyhow but like with a pair of glasses, you adjust. Anybody that purchases these through an audiologist is crazy. Embrace Hearing is a great company. The people were good and very helpful too. They’re top-notch, and I’m very impressed. I would recommend them highly to anyone.

My family has been telling me for a long time that my hearing was terrible and I was in denial. I'm only 45 and normally hearing aid wearers were usually up in my dad's age and that's about 70 something. It's a vanity. I consulted with a local hearing company here in town. The audiologist did a hearing test which used my wife’s voice and I failed miserably. He then put something in my ears and it was exactly the ones from Embrace Hearing and there's not much different from any other manufacturers based on the look. My father wears it too and I'm like, “Wow.”
It's very expensive, but Embrace Hearing was way less than the competitors in my town that I live in. I hate to buy something solely on price because a lot of times I'd get what I pay for, but I took the chance as I never knew any different. The ConsumerAffairs reviews helped me make a decision too. I purchased the H-700 and then I had to go back to the website to find out more information.
Since I've had it the quality of life has improved dramatically and my family is really stoked that I can hear better now. I like that I can talk via the Bluetooth remote. It's really nice to be hands-free and have the phone in both ears. Their customer service is also impeccable. I called and told Tim, the salesman I dealt with, that one of my hearing aids wasn’t working. It was only three weeks old and I asked him what's going on. He said that I got wax buildup on my aid and I need to do things. I told him that I'm gonna be in Miami for a week and I have no way to do it. He said that he'll have the materials that I needed at the hotel waiting for me when I go there. It sounded like that’s the norm for them and I've been very pleased.
It's great, but sometimes it could be a little annoying. The birds are really loud and when I walk outside, I was like, “Can you please shut up?” The remote control is very nice in that regards and I can turn the volume down. It's superb and a good company. I've already referred them at least two times to people that asked me about my hearing aids.

I was looking for new hearing aids then my wife went online and saw Embrace Hearing. I got the Behind-The-Ear type, it's comfortable and not that visible. There was an issue with setting up the Bluetooth for the TV and I spoke with the customer service twice. Then I have never set it up to my phone yet as I hear well with it. I get a few screeches every now and then, they have it turned up as loud as it could possibly be as my hearing is very bad. So everything seems to be working fairly well on that thing.
I'm pleased with it. However, I am still old tech and it's a new thing so I've yet to change the plugs at the end that go into the ear. That was a little perplexing because most people who need this thing are elderly, and this kind of stuff is confusing to us. It's like everything else Germany makes is over-engineered. If they could make it simpler for us older people. But there is a thing online to show me how to do it, so that'll be fine when I finally do that. The hearing aid was not overpriced as well. I got it to work and it does what it's supposed to do. It's nice because I was out in the backyard the other day and I was smiling. My wife asked why I was like that and I told her that I can hear the birds, and I haven't heard them for long.

An old friend of mine who doesn't live near me was in the area so he and his wife met us for dinner and we were talking about hearing aids. I didn't even know he was wearing a pair because it's so difficult to detect and so it wasn't even on my mind. I wasn't even gonna mention that I'm gonna go for the hearing aids but the subject came up. He said he's wearing hearing aids and I said I've been looking at them because I think I will be doing it too.
He took them off and told me to try them. And of course, no two ears are the same and they could be very different. But I know he has a very good friend back home where he lives who’s an audiologist. They're highly respected and has a very good practice. He's probably in his 70s though so I don't know how active he is but I know he's a very bright guy. I've had a few meetings with him over the years. He said he got us through someone who picked the best ones he could use. Apparently, he gave him a good price but it was still quite a few thousand dollars and so he thought he got the best. At that time, I may not ever thought of putting a hearing aid from anyone yet and I still argue with my wife that I don't need it.
I put these things in my ears knowing that his spectrum is a little different than mine. We were sitting in the restaurant and suddenly there was such a roar of sound, not that it was loud, but the spectrum that I've never heard before. There were people at the next table, mostly women, and all their conversation would come in across. There were other things I was hearing that I've never heard before. That's what really made my mind up and I really got involved with this. It really opened that same universe for me. There were so many sources around the private hearing aid places and there were so many things going round. I went on the internet and read some articles and Embrace stood out. They had high ratings, the price was very reasonable and since it had a 45-day period to try them, I felt it was pretty safe. I've also read some of the reviews so I went with them.
The interface online was good and I'd put my name in at that point. It was an introduction of their products and the details on how to use them was more important to me so that part was good and it was a good website. There were several calls made and a lot of mails received so it had to be two people who got back to me, each on a different occasion. It was very good and user-friendly and they were very patient. I was certainly sold on that and all I needed was to buy the hearing aid that I chose. I got it and it hasn’t let me down. Also, I've had a few conversations over these past few months and the person I speak is very good. I get an immediate response and some suggestions. I've never had any problem with any question that I may have had.
I purchased the middle range and I don't wear them that often. For most of the things I do in my home or at a meeting where we're seated around the table talking and the voices are loud, not wearing it is just as good as wearing it. If I'm watching television here at my home, I don't really have any trouble hearing things. Sometimes, I wear it at a restaurant and there are some noises but it really doesn't help and doesn't clarify all the problems.
But I find that when I wear them, I hear all sorts of noises that I never heard before. For example, apparently, my right ankle clicks as I walk. Also, we had certain bells or things that go off like when there's something in the oven and it reaches the cooking period that was set, it bongs and this was a totally different sound. I didn't know what the heck that noise was and my wife said it's the oven. I'm hearing greater bandwidth than I was used to and I figured that it definitely improves the spectrum that I can hear and that's a plus. But what I like the most about it is the remote control. It gives me the ability to change its characteristics a bit to what I want.
But one time, I was at a restaurant with a party of people and there's a lot of conversations going on. I could probably tune in better to what I wanted to hear so that was good. It was a crowd, I knew a lot of other people and the guy next to me whispered something in my ear so it was a like a conversation. He said something and I noticed that I had to ask him to repeat it. He was talking to one ear and I was wondering whether he's talking directly into my ear. He didn't realize I had a hearing aid and maybe you have to be at least an arm's length away so that they both take in and do what they need to do and do a better job. I wasn't sure whether that's known to present a problem when someone whispers or speaks in your ear and is really focused on that ear. That's a very special case.
Another thing is, sometimes when my oven bell or maybe other things go off, there used to be a clear bell. Maybe not quite the spectrum that I hear now but it comes through almost like there's a time delay between one ear and the other. The sound probably gets clearer in each ear but there seems to be a slight time delay and it's a little fuzzy and different. It's a dual sound and maybe that's why I didn't recognize the sound.
Also, sometimes I feel that the hearing input is coming from one side rather than the other. I've gone as far as changing the little rubber fitting that fits over the hearing aid, the part that goes in the ear and also there's a little plastic thing that you can interchange and it's cleared that up so I guess that may have been a wax problem. Maybe in my process of looking into it, I clean up the wax. But other times just doing that doesn’t really change anything. Then, on one hearing aid, sometimes there's a static even if I just changed the battery, and then it clears up.
A friend of mine used Costco and was urging me to use them. Before, I figured I would but then I came across Embrace. I meet that particular fellow for lunch once a week. He's my best friend from so many years. When you wear these things, they're very hard to detect from others. It fits right in, it's behind the ear and it's that little transparent connection to the actual ear so no one ever notices. At times, I've asked him if he's wearing his hearing aid and sometimes, I think he doesn't hear the conversation that well.
Recently he said he's wearing one and I asked why. He said his hearing aids are very close to his ear and that one of his hearing aids was making some strange sounds and reported it to Costco. They took the particular one that was having a problem back, they pointed the problem then and there, replacing whatever had to be replaced and he's waiting for that to be returned. I figured maybe that buzzing I sometimes hear that also goes away in that one ear in particular, might be something that is gonna build up to a problem but I'm sure they would probably accept it and repair. But in his case, he has a three-year warranty and I only have a one-year so if I have this problem, it may not be readily resolvable in the best way.
I never really thought I needed a hearing aid. I'm at a retired, adult community. I'm 78 and I have a lot of people who are in their 60s to 80s and there's a few who really don't have hearing aids or they have something that's not adequate. You have to repeat things a lot for them. The only person who has trouble with me is my wife. If I don't hear exactly what she says and I tell her that, she gets very mad at me and asks if I'm wearing my hearing aids. Sometimes I'm not and sometimes I am but even when I am, she is very critical of me if I don't hear exactly what she said.
I'm usually either reading or watching something on TV. I'm a political junkie so I'm very absorbed in something. She'll say something to me, I'll ask what she said and she assumes it's because my hearing is bad. Whether I'm wearing my hearing aid or not, we still have the same problem. I could see the improvement but I don't know if I really needed it as dramatically as she was sure I did. It doesn't really cure the problems that my wife was looking for it to cure for me. She probably has a little bit of a hearing problem herself but it doesn't ruin a marriage at all. I'm glad I have them and when I use them, I think they're helping. I'm not disappointed with my choice.
My son-in-law's mother is about in her 80s and she's having hearing problems. I told him all about Embrace despite the fact that to me, it doesn't make that much of a difference. I gave them the information and the website to look at it on the computer because I find it to be doing exactly what it has to do. I said to my son-in-law that his mother should call the company and she should try it. If in 45 days and it makes a difference, it's worth considering. A lot of us who are losing our hearing to varying degrees seem to manage adequately, otherwise, we would've dealt with it much sooner. She lives with her daughter and I suspect that she doesn't have a hearing problem in her home but she must have found some limitations. He said he's not sure she's ready to invest in that but that he would pass that on to her.
If anyone asks me, I'll tell them about my hearing aid and that I felt the service over the phone was great, the warranty was fine and the price was quite fair. I know people who spend $5,000 to $6,000 on a set. They may have more bells and whistles like the bluetooth and things of that nature but basically, what I and most people need is not necessarily the bells and whistles but a good, reliable hearing aid. These people have spent a lot of money but have some of the same problems they had like their husband or wife still is annoyed with them for whatever reason. But I was satisfied with Embrace.

I got Embrace Hearing's latest model because I've had that similar type of hearing aid before. I like the selectivity of the different channels that I can go to for different environments that I'm in. When I had a question after I bought the hearing aids, Embrace Hearing took care of it. All I did was email them and I got a response right away. I also liked their price for the amount of features that I get versus a similar brand at a brick-and-mortar store which got to pay rent, and so whose prices are higher.
However, there are problems with dealing online with anything. If I went to a brick-and-mortar store and bought the same type of thing and I have one little nuance that I didn’t like, I could go back in and ask them if they can adjust it for me. I can't do that with online purchase. Also, I don’t wear the hearing aids all the time. All of them say they filter this and that out and they do to some degree, but I still get amplifications of all the sounds, and sometimes I don’t like that and I don’t wear them.

My son has a very particular hearing loss. He has been through 10 surgeries since he was little. He has a need for prosthetics to build the pickup sound. And so he has a prosthetic hearing bone in his ear drum. In every brick and mortar store and hearing aid company retail that we've been through, the cheapest hearing aid we found was $5,000. We even had one priced as high as $9,000 and I was sick to my stomach. Because a friend of ours said, "my grandpa bought his online.", I started doing research online for top rated hearing aids companies. Embrace was the highest rated hearing aid company. Moreover, the owner of Embrace went out of his way to call us.
The owner of Embrace involved himself on his own. He contacted me out of nowhere one evening and started asking me all kinds of questions. He asked me to send him a bunch of audiologist reports and surgery reports so he can have his team evaluate them. They worked on it for two weeks and got back to us. His team matched what our son required for his hearing aid without ever putting a hand on my son's ear. It was phenomenal. And so, I bought the around the ear model from Embrace Hearing as it was the best one they had.
The owner contacted us after we purchased the hearing aid and gave us a free remote control even though my son hasn't used it. Normally, those were a hundred and some dollars but he sent us one with a hand-written thank you card. He called me a month ago and asked how my son was doing. The hearing aid has made my son more confident. He was deaf in that ear but now he can hear. Also, Embrace's hearing aid saved me thousands upon thousands of dollars. I wish every company models themselves after the way Embrace handled themselves. They went above and beyond the call of duty.

I knew I had a hearing problem so I went for a test at the doctor. They did the test and sent me to an audiologist to get hearing aids. I said, “Well let me look online and see what’s recommended.” I put in, “Best hearing aids” and Consumer Affairs came up and had the top 10. Embrace was the top. The price was so much less than the others so it was very highly rated. I purchased their middle grade hearing aid. It was behind the ear. I didn't have any of the accessories. They told me that those were not necessary. The main reason I got them was that it was still embarrassing to keep asking people, “Huh, huh? What’d you say? What’d you say?” The worst part was my grandchildren, specially my grandson. He talks quickly but he doesn’t slur words. Other people understand him fine but I still have a problem with him. It’s better but it’s not the solution. He still sometimes says, “Papa, never mind.” That’s very upsetting.
The thing that was a little bit problematic about Embrace was that you have to send the hearing aids back for adjustment. I got the ones I had at the doctor at the bottom of down the hill so I have to go there and they made the adjustments. It was much more expensive there. I paid $1300 for these little, middle of the grade and the lowest grade that they had was $3000. The Embrace Hearing team have done everything that they could on their end. I sent my hearing aids back once and had them adjusted. I said, "I didn’t feel it was right yet." It happens to be that I live in northern New Jersey and they have a center where the guy does the adjustments which is about half an hour from me. So, the second time, I went in to see him and he made some adjustment. But still, I didn’t feel that it was right. It was still too loud in some spots and I still struggle with the conversation.
Now that may be all that they can do. I tried hearing aids from Costco twice and took them back because I thought that they weren’t helping me that much. And then, I had the ones from the doctor and it was the same thing. They were a help for sure but I have a fairly bad case of tinnitus. It was not where I hoped I’d be with hearing aids. I plan to send them an email. I was to do it today because I hear noises I never heard before and they’re very loud but it’s marginal on the improvement of conversation. I hear more of the conversations a lot better but two nights ago, we watched a movie at my brother’s house and there was my wife, my brother and his wife and I only heard about 50% of the conversation on the TV. I understood it but that’s not good in my opinion. The hearing aids I had before were no better either.
I’m satisfied because it has helped me and in all fairness, we haven’t finished the adjustment yet. The fellow that does the adjustments, he’s a contractor for Embrace. He said some people would take a year to get it right. But my feeling is, whatever my problem is, I’m never going to get to where I want to be, where I think I should be. But people call me a perfectionist so maybe that’s the problem. They’re trying to make me satisfied. They’re not putting me off in anyway. The only drawback is that upfront, when you buy them, you’re not going to be able to go down the street and have somebody adjust them and come back. You have to send them back but it’s free and they give it back in about three days. As long as you’re up for it, it’s fine. They haven’t said, “Oh well, you know we’ve given three chances.”

Their product has a better quality from what I've had for the seven years that I’ve been using hearing aids. I'm extremely happy with the company, the product and the way they handled everything. I had tried several audiologists in our area here and most of the hearing aids they had were expensive. I saw Embrace Hearing online and they had a 45-day free trial. I figured I'd try them and see if theirs was any better than the others. Aside from the price, I felt that their hearing aids were a little better as I tried some hearing aids and they didn't improve my hearing that much. The Embrace seemed to help some and since I have a pretty bad hearing, the H-700 was recommended to be the best for me. They have a volume control and the part where you can put to a different mode.
I had some questions when I first got the hearing aids concerning their different aspects and how to care for them. I talked to Tim and he was very helpful. But I haven't had any problem nor had there been a reason for me to contact them since then. I'm doing well with my hearing aids and I can definitely hear a little better now than I could before. One of the main problems I had was conversations in a group and at least I can hear barely well in a group now. There are still some problems, though, like any exterior noise still affects me and I have a little trouble hearing on the phone. But because my hearing is so bad, I don't think I could find any hearing aid that would improve my hearing to the point where I would be completely happy. The Embrace Hearing store in Jersey was good. I got the top-of-the-line hearing aid, Embrace H-700 plus SpeechBeam from them. I liked that it reduced the ambient noise better than any other hearing aids. If you're in a bar and the people behind you are talking, you can direct the speech to the front instead of behind you. I went with Embrace mainly for the price. The prices that some of the other hearing aid companies charge are ridiculous. $5,000 for hearing aids is crazy. I put my remote in the washer and then the dryer so I had to get another one. Embrace's team responded quickly when I asked for another remote. I was hoping they would give me one or fix the one that I had, but they didn't, so I had to pay $300.
My second wife left because I kept saying, "What did you say?" My hearing aid helped. The problem is that sometimes I forget to put it in, so I've got to force myself to do that. The cleaning instructions are also a little bit vague and I could use better instruction, such as in replacing the dome. Nevertheless, I'm satisfied with Embrace. For the price, they're excellent.

I started looking for hearing aids online and I was shocked at the price. I did a research and I found the website American Hearing Aids with hearing aids of about 10 different brands. I looked from Miracle Ear to Embrace to a couple of them out there and Embrace seems to come out on the top of the list from the reviews that I looked at. With the reviews that I read, quality and customer feedback was excellent. Those were independent reviews and were not under Embrace's own website so that's a positive there. They also had what they call an A+ rating on the Better Business Bureau on their manufacturing headquarters which was also a good sign. I decided to give it a try and I'm patient. I'm willing to wait for a few days if something goes wrong to ship it back and have it sent back to me.
I was hesitant at first and I wasn't sure because this is my first time wearing hearing aids. But it didn't look like it'd be all that complicated. I could hear a lot better, that's for sure. Also, I like the feature of the remote control that allows me to answer my cell phone. That's a nice feature to have. About a week ago, the little LED display on the remote came loose and Tim was surprised because he said that's never happened before. I was impressed with the immediate feedback that I got as soon as I shipped my remote to them. Within a few days later, I got the replacement. I was happy with that experience and if something goes wrong, I feel confident that things are taken care of right away. I went to an ear doctor but if I bought my hearing aids from them, it was $8,000 which I could not afford. I looked on the internet, found Embrace and it seemed like a good deal so I got them. I like that I'm able to hear things that I never could before. I'm 62 and now when I listen to music, I hear instruments or voices that I never heard before. I also work for Florida Power & Light and I have to attend meetings every once in a while and I miss so much. There are people talking behind me and I don't hear their voices but they're talking to me. Embrace Hearing really helped me a lot.
My experience with them has been life-changing. I don't have to ask people to repeat stuff anymore. I wish I could have had them when I was in elementary school. When I tried to enlist in the military, they wouldn't accept me because my hearing was so bad. Eventually, they did take me but they said my hearing was so bad that I can't tell which direction the sound came from and I never did. But with the hearing aids that I got, that's improved somewhat.

I went with Embrace Hearing for their price but also because the technology came from Germany. The cost is hands down and the quality is identical if not better than other companies. I've had hearing aids devices all my life on and off and I like that the technology keeps getting better. The impact has been very positive. I couldn't say that 25 years ago but obviously fast forward today there's a huge difference. I would highly recommend Embrace Hearing based on the top notch customer service that I received from them.

I've been wearing my hearing aids for about 10 years and it was in need of changing out because it was six years old and I know that the technology has changed tremendously. I moved out of the state that I bought it from, so I couldn't take it to them to have a work done anymore. I did research and found that Embrace Hearing's price and that their service was exceptional and so I went with them.
I can only wear one hearing aid since I've no damage in the other ear. So, everything is garbled and if I put a hearing aid in that ear, it makes the garbling louder. The hearing aid also didn't work completely correct the first time. I have a very small ear canal. I tried it first using the smallest rubber tip and that was too much sound, I had a major screwing feedback. And so, I went to the next size and it was still a little bit too loud so I sent it back. Embrace made the adjustment and I've got it hooked up to my TV now and I can watch TV at night without disturbing my family. I'm extremely happy with it. Everything is working good.

I had messed up and went with hear.com. I had a Resound LiNX and they could never make the Bluetooth work. Also, they could never get my hearing aids set right and I was missing work, driving all the way to New Albany. They had to send them back to the engineer. Moreover, the lady put me in the cheapest pair and that might have been a thing too because I got all these rattling and it made me feel nervous. Then my boyfriend researched and looked at reviews and he found Embrace. I got the tiny hearing aids that go in my ear and they're the best and high-end ones. They're also very comfortable and I can't even tell I have them on.
I have a SpeechBeam and uStream and my favorite feature is the Bluetooth. My left ear is about gone and with my work, I need to wear a Bluetooth. I already used a Bluetooth in the right ear and then we decided it would be best to go with both ears and they're doing great. Their customer service reps checked with me all the time and they're very good. Embrace has impacted my life tremendously. My boyfriend said we should have done this 30 years ago. I wish I can get the type of chargers and I don't have to change the batteries. It's not a big deal to change the batteries but that would be good to have. But as far as their technology, adjustment and getting them right, they did a great job. I love my hearing aids.

When I first contacted Embrace Hearing, I had just purchased Oticon hearing aids from an otolaryngology and audiology department at a major regional medical center. The interesting thing was that when I spoke with the representative at Embrace Hearing, he gave me a more intelligent explanation about hearing aids and current technology than the audiologist at the major medical center had 10 days earlier. I was very impressed by that, and that prompted me to go forward with purchasing them. Their surround sound technology work much better than what some of the other well-known hearing manufacturers have.
I was also surprised at how user-friendly it was to order these hearing aids online with excellent support from Embrace Hearing. I had questioned how they would be able to customize hearing aids for me as a patient when I was not having any face-to-face consultation with them. But I found that they readily surmounted that and I ended up feeling like I really did have custom treatment.

My husband saw Embrace Hearing online. He was researching because he was not happy with his level of hearing with his previous hearing aids. Someone recommended that he get a more updated improved hearing aid but the cost was astronomical and he needs to have two rather than one. And when he saw this German made hearing aid, what good reviews it had and the fact that it was small, he wanted to try it and see if it's going to work for him. He got the one that goes in his ear and has a little thing outside on the back of the ear. It had a very good price. My husband said he can almost get two of that for the price of what he paid for the one he got at Sam's hearing center. He loves that he is able to hear and he thought it was better than any of the previous ones that he had gotten. He's satisfied with it. It's not real big and bulky and he didn't have to fight it all the time like he did with his other ones. I'd recommend it to everybody.

So after I sent it back, they did the adjustments, I got them back and they worked great. They increased the volume of the high-pitched frequencies which I cannot hear. However, I had an issue at the very beginning and I wound up speaking for about 45 minutes with one of their representatives. I was very impressed. Tim was his name and he was an extremely effective communicator. I had to send the hearing aids back for adjustment and they did so very easily. Everything was perfect.
Since having the hearing aids, the people around me don’t have to speak quite as loudly. The hearing aids are very comfortable and in fact, I even forget that they’re in. I got the one that got the piece that's behind your ear and then the little tube comes around and the thing goes into your ear canal. I noticed a little bit of difference. But I have a very difficult time getting it in my right ear and keeping it in there. I think the problem is the shape of my ear canal on my right side. I have to wiggle it around. By the time I do that, it gets cockeyed and when I wear them regularly, my right ear starts getting sore and tender inside even after changing out the tips. Sometimes, when it does stay in there, it's uncomfortable. But the left ear works fine.

When I decided to get hearing aids, I did a lot of research and everything I was looking at was $5,000-$10,000, which was insane. I came to the conclusion that Embrace's product was as good as anybody else's and about half the money for the premium. Based on that and the conversations I had with the rep, I decided that Embrace was the way I was going to go.
The TV wars with my wife and being in a noisy situation, I was missing out on a lot of conversation with people 'cause of all the background noise. The hearing aids helped out a lot. It's less stressful because I'm not always saying "Excuse me, could you repeat that?" I also spend a lot of time in hotel rooms 'cause I travel extensively. I've had a guy come knock on the door and said my TV was too loud. But that is gone. I still have the TV a little louder than normal but it's much better now than what it used to be.
However, I seem to get more feedback on my left ear. Sometimes in the evening it will be really bad. What I did was I took the little rubber cone on the speaker and switched it out from the one with all holes around it to one that has hardly any holes. It seems to have helped but it's weird because when I close them and put them in my ear, the right one sounds louder than the left one. Right now, it's fine. If I take the remote and turn the hearing aids down two notches, that seems to eliminate a lot of the problem.

We were looking at other places whose hearing aid costs from $4300 to over $6000 and I got my mine discounted by a couple of hundred bucks because I bought the full package. The bluetooth is a convenience but it appears to run my battery down a little quicker when I use it, and that makes sense because it's just an additional power source that's being used.
The service has been good. In fact, I just communicated with the rep, Tim, yesterday. The reps have responded well when I've had questions or needs, which has been mainly because I have ears with very small canals. I was looking for hearing aids and searched the internet to find a more affordable option to what my audiologist was saying. I got the mini-receiver from Embrace and their customer service is great. I've contacted them a couple of times and they've been very good about giving advice and making sure that my product is working properly. My partner's a nurse so she's done a lot of investigation into what went in the building the hearing aid, and did a lot of research on the company and the product itself. We were really impressed with how much information we could find out about their product and the service. Being in Canada, the hearing aid is quite expensive. The same type of a product here would have run me about anywhere from $2000 to $4000 each and so I was quite actually happy to find Embrace, and the price was reasonable and the quality is great.
Plus, the maintenance is quite simple. Here in Canada, I have to take the hearing aid back to my audiologist to have them adjusted and cleaned. On the other hand, Embrace has enough links on their website as to how to take care of my hearing aid that we were actually able to do the maintenance ourselves. I appreciate the fact that they have that on their website.
In the first couple of months when I had my hearing aid, the right one seemed to go on and off a bit and seemed to cut out. I emailed Embrace, said what was happening and they said, "Package it up and send it back." So, I send the hearing aid back and they sent a new one out to me, which I've had no problems with at all. The other thing was when I was looking for replacement domes, I'd emailed them about finding them because I couldn't find them here, and they said, we can get them through their website links, but if I went to Amazon I could find a better price, which I did. They were correct and I found a better price. I also appreciated the fact that they directed me to a place where cost was a better deal than to buy straight from them.
I have a fairly mild hearing deficit. I'm a teacher and find that I am not quite as tired after teaching a class from trying to hear what my students at the back of the room were saying. Also, I used to have such a hard time hearing everybody in the meetings and it was exhausting to come out of them and from having to concentrate so hard. Even out at restaurants because I can set the ambient noise in the room to dull. I don't spend as much of my energy trying to hear people or read their lips, so my life is quite nicer in that sense. I have told other people about Embrace and given them the company's website if they're looking for hearing aids because they don't cost anywhere near as much as we're being charged, so it's nice to have options.

I had a set of hearing aids before but they got damaged. I had to shop for a new one and I like the priced of Embrace Hearing. However, there was a little bit of an issue with them but not bad. I'm just trying to adjust to them yet. I would have preferred a slimmer profile on them. They're a little bit bulky and short. They're also not 100% good yet. I can hear people talking but I don't understand every single word said. But overall, I'm satisfied. The gentleman I worked with was very patient and very helpful. He did an excellent job.

I've had the Phonak for about four or five years. They're old-fashioned with a tube that sends the sound from the speaker inside the earphone and right to the canal. Now, I have Embrace hearing aids. I like their price and they have a good technology. The hearing aid has a Receiver-in-Canal. It's where they put the speaker inside them and the hearing aid itself could sit behind the ear. They put the speaker right in a miniature microphone or a speaker that goes right into your ear canal. It bypasses the sound and it travels through a hole or tube so the sound is much clearer. On the other hand, their staff didn't give me any wax card to keep the wax out. It's a piece of plastic that goes inside the speaker in the ear. I had to ask for some more of those but other than that, they've been great. My hearing is much better now because it's very much easier to understand than the old technology put out by Phonak.

I read the evaluations online and Embrace Hearing seemed to be the most positive. When I first ordered the hearing aids, I had a couple conversations with their rep. Although most of my questions were answered online, I still keep in touch with Tim who is my contact person if I have questions or concerns. I got the middle-ranged hearing aids and I like the four channels that I can switch to for different reasons. I had hearing aids previously, but the cost for Embrace hearing aids was much lower and the quality's much better. Also, my life has improved 'cause I can hear better now.

I really like Embrace Hearing. I dialed their number, I got a hold of somebody and I talked to him. He spent four different phone calls with me and they answered all my questions. I got a hearing test here in Colorado where I live. Then I emailed it to them and they fine-tuned them according to my prescription. I really like the fact that my hearing aids were German-made. I felt like they were pretty good quality compared to what's available here. I've had them four years now and I wear them all the time. It makes a big difference. I can hear a lot of things I didn't use to hear.

I did some research on the internet and just happened to find Embrace Hearing and I bought their hearing aids. I went with them because of their cost for the same features. I paid $99 for the little remote that goes with it and it's well worth it - it's my favorite feature. It's been an easy and convenient experience overall. My older brother in California is considering hearing aids now and I recommend him to go to Embrace Hearing's website.

I was being treated for bug bites and another client who happened to be an MD noticed that I was wearing hearing aids. He asked me about it and started a 20-minute advertisement. He thought that the traditional places where people get hearing aids were too expensive. We had a long discussion about it and I was interested since I was toying with the idea of changing device for a couple years. He told me how satisfied he was with Embrace Hearing. He explained to me that other people were not doing the job they should be doing so he took the company over.
With that MD's recommendation, I got Embrace's device and I'm now their advocate as well. There were three levels of expense and I got the most expensive, the one with Bluetooth and other possibilities. It was about a thousand dollar an ear but I like the technology possibilities, I wanted to be prepared for anything since I'll probably wear the hearing aid for the rest of my life. Hence I'm happy to have spent that money. In a lot of places, I would have spent two or three times that much money, if not more, per ear. Furthermore, having the device has made a big improvement so far. Also, now the company is run like it should be and I'm very pleased.

Embrace Hearing Aids has 3 models and I chose the intermediate. I like their price and the quality was far superior. I’m interested that my hearing loss is mainly above 3,000 and I’m amazed how much I’ve lost. With it on, I noticed that there are many more birds and many more things outside that I hear that normally are gone without the hearing aid. I’d certainly recommend them.

I think they could do better at the way they present themselves to the public.

I’ve never had hearing aids before so it’s taking quite a bit of an adjustment. I purchased my 700 Plus hearing aids from Embrace Hearing. I had done a lot of research and found out that pretty much some of the same companies make all the hearing aids. I just didn’t see any sense in paying $2,000 more for a hearing aid that has a household name versus the one that maybe a lot of people haven’t heard of but is still the same hearing aid.
I’ve talked mostly with Tim from customer service and he’s been great. He’s the one that suggested I send the hearing aids back in to be reprogrammed because I have the Crossover and in a restaurant, the Crossover just floods the other ear with all this noise and information so I had them change the program where it actually turns that Crossover out and turns it off. The only thing that I don’t really like about these hearing aids is that little plastic wire in one ear doesn’t stay and keeps popping out. And it’s extremely difficult to kind of mend into shape.

I had narrowed my choices for hearing aids down to two companies and two different products. I had decided on another company's product, but that product had been replaced with a new one. Rather than going through the whole process of investigating, I went with my number two choice which happened to be one with Embrace Hearing. I’ve only had it a couple of months since my first hearing aid and so far, it has met my expectations. It’s doing what I hoped it would do. There were times when I thought it was missing parts of conversations but then again it’s early. I haven’t had a situation before where I had issues come in the last couple of months but the hearing aid has proven to be effective.
I was surprised at the level of customer service because that seemed to be one of the big fears of dealing with a company online. When I first got it, I was in touch with their customer service. I had a problem in using it and this had a lot to do with the fact that I was unfamiliar with the product. I spoke with Tim and informed him that I had a problem simply putting them on and with the length of the wire from the dome that goes into my ear to the microphone that sits behind my ear. I spent about half an hour with him and he was most helpful in providing me with a couple of longer wires that solved the problem that I was having. He indicated that that was a rare problem, maybe 5% or so of the people that needed that. He sent me the parts overnight and I received them the next day. I installed them myself and they worked out great. I mailed the existing ones back. I’ve had no problems since that initial delivery and the initial couple of days.

My son did an internet investigation when he knew I needed new hearing aids. He said Embrace Hearing sounded like the best deal and so I went with it. I communicated with their rep mostly through e-mail but he’s always prompt and always answered all my questions. I’m pleased with them.
With Embrace Hearing, I certainly have a better quality of life. I'm satisfied with it. I hear better now and I don’t have to turn the TV up too loud or miss things entirely. However my hearing is probably going to get worse. When I got these new ones, I was getting a little bit of hearing loss in my one ear. I realized that’s probably the way it’s going to go with me.

But the product has slightly improved my life and I've received very good customer service from them. There were a couple of other online companies that I checked with for my hearing aids. The prices were comparable but they were not as accessible as Embrace was in terms of talking to somebody knowledgeable about the product. Talking to Tim of Embrace and their price encouraged me to go with them because there was a limit set by the health insurance company about what they would cover. The H700 Embrace hearing aids are great. I also got the Bluetooth accessory. It's a great product.
Their customer service team is excellent and both responsive in phone calls and emails. Everything worked out with the team. There is maximum satisfaction. However I'm having a hard time with the health insurance and I need to get those straightened out. I filed to Blue Cross in New Jersey but the specialist who has the license to issue the device is registered in Delaware. Blue Cross needed the EIN of the individual and not the company. This added more time to the transaction to get the reimbursement from my insurance.

I found Embrace Hearing online and bought their 700 plus. I only use the amplification with one program that I'm using, but I chose them because of the price and convenience and I felt that if I went to a normal hearing aid dispensary I would pay a lot more for the model I got. The cost and quality are equal if not better compared to Costco since that's where I got my hearing test and put on a sample pair and walked around. Embrace's customer service is friendly and helpful. A feedback on a problem I have though is that we have worked around by swapping our dome sizes and I wish we could tune that a little bit but it might involve sending the hearing aids back in which I don't wanna do. I need to go to a local dispensary to get them tuned a little bit.
I already had hearing aids so my quality of life is continued to be positively impacted by having Embrace Hearing as opposed to not having them. I kept the previous pair I had about two years longer than their useful life so putting Embrace on felt like putting on a new one and I'm back to where I was. Although I'm thinking I got good features and benefits, I actually paid over $3,000 for the first pair seven years ago while I paid 2,000 for Embrace so I feel like the trend is going in the right direction.
Embrace did everything they could and my perception is they're willing to do more. I'm just not willing to give up the hearing aid to take the time to have it done and there's a tinnitus program they could install for me. They could reprogram them to help potentially reduce the amount of feedback I'm hearing but if they programmed a similar pair and gave them to me just for use then I could send back them when my originals were gone, that would be fun.

The receiver in the ear was why I went with Embrace Hearing. Also, the quality of their product is great. I was very well pleased when I bought my hearing aids from them. My husband had this system twice now from Embrace Hearing Aids. He's got the Bluetooth, the TV and everything that you can have on it pretty well. He needed it all and it has certainly helped. He also tried picking out for music because we want to get back playing instruments and he's been working at trying to get that to work well. He had to buy a few different things but they put music along with the system that he already has so it has helped some. However, there's one area that he hasn't tried that I know of. It's when you go in to see a concert or something in a big theater or area or if you went into a church that was big enough that had that system, that he could hear better.
A lot of this stuff has improved him being able to hear but he still doesn't hear very good. He doesn't pick out all the words in a sentence. So it helps but it's not the same as what he would like. But this system seems to be the best he's used. Moreover, we've had excellent customer service right from the start. Now it's changed hands and the interaction we've had has been really good. They have been trying to get the best they can for him and he's tried everything that they'd given him. His hearing is still going down so it's always a challenge to try to keep up with seeing if there's something else out there that might help him. But at this point, we can communicate at least. However, he still can't communicate with two of his kids because their voices are in a range that he can't pick up good. So even with the hearing aids, he can hear a little bit but not enough for them to carry on a normal conversation.
That same product here in Canada would cost him twice as much so he's gone through the States when he bought it. Now we understand that in Canada that Costco or some place carries the same type of units and their price would be about the same as what we purchased from the States. Going forward then for anybody that would be here, we would recommend the system to them. They might be able to get it locally now and not pay as much.
