I went online and I did a couple of the hearing test. Embrace was the only one that followed up with me. They took time to explain to me what tinnitus was and I knew how it sounded, but they took time to explain to me what the brain was doing to cause that sound in my head, and nobody had ever took time to explain that to me before. The rep told me that she could put what she called white noise, which I had never heard of before. That would counteract that cricket sound in my head when I wasn't hearing other things. It makes a big difference. She asked me the sounds that I like to hear, and I told her I'd like to hear rain but no thunder. So, if I'm in a very quiet place now, instead of hearing crickets, I hear a soft rain fall. It is nice, and I don't get agitated. It’s very soothing.

I got the best hearing aids they’ve got. I got the Bluetooth. They ask you what type of phone you have, if you have an Android or Apple, and I have an iPhone, and they're Bluetooth enabled. I can listen to my music and not bother anybody in the house with my units. When I answer the phone, I just reach out and touch the button on my hearing aid and start talking. If you're going through the grocery store talking, people look at you like you're crazy because my hearing aid’s behind my ear but they don't see it. I didn't realize how deaf I was until I got my hearing aids. I was reading lips and I didn't know it. When they told me what was going on, and that they could stop that tinnitus, I cried.

When I take these hearing aids out at night, it sounds like the volume of the world goes down. Embrace has followed up with me, too. They ask if there's anything they can help me with. They've been very good. They have changed my life.

I've been very satisfied with my Embrace hearing aids. When I got them, they sent me a good supply of batteries. I talked to them on the phone later and they sent me an additional pack of covers for the little squeaky earbuds. There was a small learning curve on getting the ear pieces set in my ear. But having the speaker right in your ear is so much better than the other ones that uses sound tube. The Embrace hearing aids are also very comfortable. I gotta be careful not to leave in my ear when I go take a shower. I love the Bluetooth. My girlfriend told me, “It sounds like you're sitting here with me.” It works great both directions. I wanted to download the app so that I could control the hearing aids from the phone. But I can't do that ‘cause my phone won't let me download anything.

I invested $2,500 in the hearing aids which was $1,000 cheaper than anything else I liked to look at. It’s a lot of money, but it's worth every last penny of it. I could hear birds and hadn't heard birds in years. It was a very moving experience. It darn near brought tears to my eyes. I've already told other people about Embrace, how happy I am, and how much they've helped me out.

I tell everybody about Embrace Hearing because they're so much more reasonably priced than going to an audiologist's office and their customer service is phenomenal. I've had a good experience with Embrace. The customer service representatives are extremely good. I priced hearing aids in several different places and there wasn't any question that the prices that they offered were far less than most anywhere else that I had inquired. I live in Savannah, Georgia and there are two big hearing aid places here that I went to. They were talking about the same kind of hearing aids that I received. They were talking about 3,000 for each hearing aid, so you talk about $6,000 for a pair of hearing aids, where I was able to get the ones from Embrace for a little under 3,000.

My hearing was very severely damaged and I contacted Embrace Hearing nine years ago, and got my first set of hearing aids from them. I was satisfied with the hearing aids and the whole process in purchasing them. The new ones I have are much better than the old ones. And it makes a big difference for me. These are beyond my expectations and I'm very satisfied with them. I've got the Bluetooth-enabled hearing aids, so any notifications that I get on my phone, through my security system, Alexa comes into my hearing aids. So I like them. They're clear. I have called Embrace about adjusting the treble on it, which they've done once already. They told me to give them a call back in about a month and they would readjust them. So, they've been very helpful.

The hearing aids are fantastic. I'm hearing sounds that I didn't hear before with my old hearing aids. I had a small water pump I made for a hummingbird bath. I was at least 50 feet away, if not a little further, and I could hear this noise. I didn't know what it was. I thought it was my pool pump running, so I walked back to the pool. As I did, I passed the small water pump and it was then I realized I was hearing the gurgling noise of that little bit of water from 50 feet away. It's amazing. I have them turned down most of the time, because the sound is clear and it is loud. It benefits me because I can hear people in the background talking. These are omnidirectional, so I don't have to be standing there looking at them and watching their lips move to understand what's going on around me.

I had my first pair of hearing aids for seven years and they finally pooped out. I’ve had this new pair from Embrace Hearing for maybe three months. I got the top-of-the-line product even though they’re not rechargeable. I talked to a gal who referred to herself as Doctor and she was very helpful in helping me program my smartphone to control my hearing aids. Every time I talked to her, she said she was gonna send me a free package of the cones or a new package of wax guards and I felt good about it. I enjoy being able to hear better and in higher frequencies through my hearing aids. So, it's been good.

The Bluetooth is simply wonderful because I’m on the phone a great deal. I’m a therapist and I need to hear what people are saying. It has made everything so much more possible. The customer support at Embrace Hearing has been remarkably good. I’m frustrated with the app from my telephone. Every once in a while, it somehow disconnects itself and I had recently called. I told Jim, the rep, to send me the instructions in writing so that I don't have to worry the next time this happens. And he did. I did not have time to deal with it that day and the next day, I put them on, and the things were working, even though I hadn't removed the app and reinstalled it. A second time quite recently, for a few hours, it didn't work again and it corrected itself somehow. Whether that problem is in my iPhone or in the app for the hearing aid, I don't know. But it is a nuisance.

They said that if something breaks down, I can go to the hearing aid store but turns out there is no such place on the North Shore. So far, I've been able to call for anything that didn't work and Embrace has led me through whatever I needed to do to get it up to par. But I am annoyed that I don't have that office because I can't function without the hearing aids. Still, when I call, Embrace has been simply wonderful about getting back to me on a weekend, late at night. In that respect, I wouldn't fault them. And I wouldn't want anyone to get the impression that by and large I’m not happy, because I am.

A friend of mine told me about Embrace because I have ear problems. He was having problems too. He researched it and he really sold me on the product so I went with them. My insurance paid for them so it was awesome. I am very pleased with Embrace and I have told a couple of people about them. Everything is fine and I love them. It's just unfortunate that I have that ear problem that I've had since I was a child so I can only wear them once in a while. Right now, allergies are really big for me, so I can only wear one. But it works and I can hear.

I used to be a switchboard operator. I could not answer the phone with the headset because it would bother my ears. I can't wear my hearing aids all the time. I find that if I wear the right one by itself, I'm fine. The right one is the one that's okay. It's the left one that gives me problems. I have enough hearing with that one that I don't even have to worry about putting the other one on.

When Embrace did a hearing test for me, it showed that my hearing was not so bad. But they took the time to figure out what was going on because they believe something was going on instead of saying, "Oh, well, it's not on your test. It was wrong." I got the X series because I wanted to make sure I had to be able to use my cellphone in my business life. So that freed me up to use my cellphone hands-free. I haven't mastered it yet because I still answer from my phone. But it's wonderful, especially while I'm driving or at work. I can hold a normal conversation and people can hear me better than they actually hear me when I'm just using the phone. I had a little bit of difficulty hearing conversations. I gave Embrace Hearing a try. I like the ability to select the different modes on it and change volume levels. The Bluetooth connection is to adjust the volume and change the modes. But I can't hear phone calls or anything through it. I don’t often wear my hearings aids. Before I tried Embrace, I had some Eargos. Although I didn't necessarily like the sound correction, the Flexi Palms on the Eargos were much more comfortable in my ears and they stayed in my ears better. The Embrace ones tend to slide out a little bit. The one on my right ear will eventually work its way all the way out so I push it back in. I tried the different sleeves that go on them and I tried all the different sizes. On the whole, Embrace had good service and good hearing aids. I told my brother that.

The hearing aids I had before were a popular brand name. However, they were basic so they didn't have all the features that Embrace Hearing has. The cost was a little high in comparison to others, but I got the quality and the features that I wanted. Embrace Hearing offered the latest technology and has Bluetooth. I could increase or decrease my volume with my iPhone. I also like that it does streaming. A lot of times, I could take my calls without having Bluetooth in my ear, so it eliminated that for me because I was having trouble adapting to those.

I also liked the feature that they reach out to me in the sense that if there's a problem. I was having a little difficulty one time because the loudness was causing some issues. They said that they would do a one-time adjustment. They did their thing remotely and it worked. They also did a couple other follow-up calls to see how I was doing with it and if there were any problems and for me, it went smoothly. In my first hearing aid, I went to an office. The person did the examination and tweaked the hearing aid for me. So, I liked the fact that they could adjust my hearing aids remotely and that was a big feature. I would definitely recommend this to other people.

Embrace Hearing has been great. I've never had better service. I was referred by a bunch of my colleagues and friends who’ve had their Embrace hearing aids for years and haven't had a problem with them and were very happy with them. My wife was sick of listening to me or me not hearing her. So, I called them. I had an audio test. I sent it to them. I talked to the doctor there about three times. She kept on calling, checking on me and made sure I was okay.

My hearing aids are working great. I got the ones you can't even see. They're deep inside my ear. People don't even know I have them on. Why spend $5,000 or $6,000 to go to Beltone or one of the hearing aids places when you can get the exact same hearing aid for a quarter or a third of the price at Embrace? They're a good company, and it’s a personal relationship. Tim, the guy in engineering, calls me. Pam, the audiologist, calls all the time. They're right on it. They want to make sure you're happy.

I liked the Embrace product that they were selling because I wanted to get in-the-ear hearing aids. The hearing aids I had before were over-the-ear. The problem with that is every time I put my mask on or my glasses that I have to take everything out and start over again. So, that's why I chose the in-the-ear and I'm very happy with them. I've got myself a good product. The quality and the price are excellent compared to other places.

I have the app that I follow and I can see how my battery life is in both ears. I also like being able to increase the hearing aid if I'm watching. But the in-the-ear hearing aids were making my ears very itchy. I contacted them and they gave me a solution for that. It's a cream. I put a little dab on the tip of the hearing aid when I put it in my ear and it works beautifully. The Embrace hearing aid is 100% awesome. It's the best hearing aid I've ever had. I usually have a bunch of hearing aids that I have laying around, even the cheaper ones for 100, 200, 300. When Embrace came along, they put something right in the middle. It's not a $400 hearing aid, but it's not $3,000 either. It's affordable and you can make it work. For what you give and for what this hearing aid does, it’s a beautiful thing.

The crazy part about this is its capability of being on the phone. The other ones, I have to keep taking them out. They're not as good as this. When I got this, I thought I won't use it all the time but I got no choice anymore because I want nothing to do with the other ones. Once in a while, in a restaurant, I might put it at a minus four because it'll bring up the voices a little bit more across the tables and it seems to work for whatever that is. On everyday life and wherever else I go, it's always minus five. Everything else is too powerful. If you get to zero, you'd give yourself a headache. You would have to be almost completely deaf to use zero.

I had emailed Embrace and asked what would be the chance of me being able to take a chance on the C Series which is not supposed to be as powerful as the ones that I'm using now. It would be nice to have two different types. Sometimes, when you constantly put this behind the ear, then it gets a little funny too. You wanna give behind your ear a rest. But they wanted me to feel this one out. On those other hearing aids, you can't do anything yourself. You can't touch it. You gotta keep going back and if it doesn't work, you gotta make an appointment. You gotta sit there all day and wait for them to come out. Especially now with all these masks, that's the worst thing. But Embrace came up with this remote control thing. I do it through my phone. It's much easier to just scroll through the phone, touch it and put the volume. The app is another beautiful thing.

What I also liked is that I'm allowed to buy one. They said, “Your hearing’s bad, and you could use two, but we'll sell you what you want.” I said, “Sell me the one and let me say what I got, and then we'll see.” It leads me to feel like I have another step. As you get older and your hearing gets worse, you wanna always feel like you're not at the last step. What Embrace also did which was really cool was by having this online hearing test, it allowed me to take the test and set up the hearing aid to the best I could. The only thing is the battery doesn't last as long as some of the other ones I had. Nevertheless, I recommended this to anybody that's got issues. It's very comfortable. I hope that Embrace stays around because they're good for me. They help a lot of people.

I've enjoyed the hearing aids. Embrace left me a message a month after I had them. They made sure the hearing aids were okay. And I got an email a couple of weeks ago saying that the wax guards I buy every three months should be replaced and to keep the hearing aids clean, so I do. These hearing aids are better than the other ones that I had. I'm amazed at how much clearer everything is. Because they actually work and sound better. I can hear words I was missing.

I had battery ones before. They last five to six days for the batteries go bad. But they didn't Bluetooth and anything else. That stuff wasn't out then. No place in Embrace's ads say that if you're using Bluetooth or just because they Bluetooth back and forth with each other, the batteries have half the life as what ones without that did. I have to change the batteries in three days. And that is with turning off my phone from being able to receive it, or the TV being able to receive it. The only thing I do with the Bluetooth is adjusting on my phone. And that is the happiest thing I like, is being able to adjust the mids, basses, and my trebles on the phone because some shows are just not good, and I can make it to where I can hear things better. I don't know if it was better to pay the extra 400. It's probably still cheaper to buy batteries over the life of what they're expected, but just the inconvenience. I just carry a package of batteries in my pocket all the time.

Considering that it would be 4,500 for Beltones, obviously at 24 something, Embrace was a much better deal. And I like the fact that they have a three-year warranty on them. Beltone had a year or so. But you kept going in every couple months, and they would change out the wax guards and do different things to them, and clean them up. But if there was something major, I would have to pay for it myself after the year. I've recommended Embrace to four people already.

It's a little more costly than some of the others, but, marketing is marketing. However, we returned the hearing aids as they didn't satisfy me.

One of the things that you really need when you get hearing aids, is that you need to get the real ear measurements, and that can only be done if you have the equipment and do it in an office setting. The other thing is that it's difficult to do things with Zoom, trying to connect with something like a hearing aid over the internet. Compared to the rest of the market, they're all overpriced. Product is very similar to the other products in the class. There are some products that are more or less popular.

Most people don't know how their hearing aids work. The products have features. I know how they work, and so I want some of the features. The feature right now that I have, as an example, when somebody calls, all I have to do is tap my ear twice and it connects to my cellphone that's lying in the living room. I tried another brand that went for about $2000 and they gave you a three-year warranty with an audiologist on Zoom. That was the closest thing to real life that I've experienced and the product was not so bad either.

I know that hearing aids change the sound, but I would like for them to work a bit better when I actually am watching TV. Everything else, I've worked out the kinks that allows me to hear the way I should. But so far, I’m fairly happy.

Embrace's customer service is okay, although a little weird. It's not as direct as if I went through an audiologist. I've bought three sets from them so far and my second set of hearing aids needed work so I sent them in. It took a long time to get repaired. I called Embrace and told them what was going on. They gave me the phone number of the service place, which was not Embrace. I called and they said they got to send the hearing aids to Embrace and then Embrace would send them to me. I told them I had spoken to Embrace and asked them to send the hearing aids to me but they said they were not going to do that. I got upset with them.

They sent the set back to Embrace because it had to be programmed for my hearing loss. Nobody told me that. I wouldn't have gotten irate and I wouldn't have even called them if I had known that. There was that gap in communication that really left a sour taste in my mouth. But then, I got the hearing aids and they were fine. Also, the price is better. The hearing aids right now are on par with some of the best that are out there. I would recommend Embrace Hearing hearing aids to people.

When I wear the hearing aids, they work better than the ones I had before this. I like that part. Embrace has little more options than the previous company that I used. For example, when you push the button on the hearing aids to change the different programs, it does both ears at the same time. The big upgrade for me is being able to work with the phone, so I could hear it through the phone. I also purchased the TV option, but I have not got that to work yet. So I have to do some work on that.

The white box that you put the hearing aids in overnight to charge is somewhat difficult to open. I struggle with it every morning trying to open it and then, when I do open it, I gotta have a good grip on the hearing aids to pull them out of that box. That's not very easy for anyone like myself that has a little arthritis going on with the fingers. It would also be good if I can change the program with the emailing, so that the hearing aids start up with another program other than the one that's doing right now because I won't have to change it right away every time I put it on.

He immediately sent out the substitute. I just felt there were people at Embrace when I was having problems.

One thing that needs work is that the process of replacing ear wax guards is challenging. I haven't been able to make it work to remove the old one. Putting in the new ones is fine but removing the old one is like I have to get a pin and dig it out. That's frustrating. Also, I thought I could go on the app and adjust the environment piece and the volume. I haven't figured out how to do that. It's kinda inconvenient to have to try to find the little buttons on the microphones behind the ear, push them, and feel confident that I know what they're doing when I push them.

I went to my ear, nose, and throat doctor and we did a comprehensive hearing analysis. I have a noticed hearing loss. When the time came to price out a set of hearing aids, they ranged between $5,000 and $7,300 for the pair. We researched on the net and found Embrace. I have the top-of-the-line hearing aids, AU3950 and it's a quality program that Embrace offers. I bought the set for $2,500, which is half the cost of the low-end hearing aids that the ENT specialist offered.

I have the hearing aids hooked on the Bluetooth of my phone and it works pretty well. But I have one battery going bad so I'm not hooked up to Bluetooth right now. When one goes bad, the Bluetooth shuts off. The batteries I have are not rechargeable ones. A battery can last me from nine days depending on how long I wear the hearing aids every day. Sometimes I can't wear them because of what I do. That's not a drawback but it’s part of the program.

The Embrace doctor is a fine lady and a good audiologist. She called a couple of times to follow up and see what's going on. I had a real serious tint where there was a tinny sound to the edge of every word and every sound I heard, whether it’d be paper folding or a plate being put on a table. The doctor was able to talk us through it. We went into the website and modulate the hearing aid so the sound was not as tinny. It was a lot better. My hearing loss was severe but I’m fine now. My wife doesn’t say something two or three times anymore. That’s a good feeling. I'm a senior citizen and if anyone asks me to recommend a hearing aid company, it will be Embrace. I had a hearing aid before that tended to rub my ear and make it sore. The rechargeable model might be too wide and it might hurt my ear. So, I went with a version where I have to replace the battery and it's a little smaller.

The only downside is that the battery life on them is about three days while on my old hearing aids, the battery life was six days. So I go through a lot of batteries. They're not outrageously expensive but that's a little disappointing. Embrace pointed me to a good source for batteries that are reasonably priced. I tried a different company that I found online that the price is a little lower, but I wasn't satisfied with the quality and the Bluetooth did not work with my specific phone. The price looked reasonable, so I gave Embrace a try.

When I first got the hearing aids, I was initially contacted to make sure everything was working well. I had some concern on how long the batteries worked with these hearing aids compared to my previous hearing aid, and got some suggestions. The second time, I missed them. They left me a voice message, but I never got back with them. Embrace would do a random call now and then. And if I was in the middle of a work call, I couldn't take it right away. They could do better on scheduling consultations.

The more I've worn the hearing aids, the more I've gotten used to them. And previously wearing hearing aids, I'm more comfortable experimenting with these and trying to figure it out. I switched batteries and found out that buying the more expensive batteries was more expensive, but I was getting more time on one set of batteries. Also, the sound quality is good compared to my previous brand. It was a good sound quality also, but they were a lot more expensive. So, I liked that over that, and that was one of the items besides the Bluetooth connectivity that the previous pair that I tried out. The quality wasn't there either, even after a few adjustments. The other thing is that once I got it, I thought it could be synced with an application and I downloaded one and I was never able to sync it. So I was not really told more about the hearing aid and its capabilities. But when I wanted to find out about any kind of insurance in case something went wrong or I happen to lose it, one of their agents very kindly replied with the information I didn't know. Embrace Hearing gives you the ability to buy another one for half the price if something happens to my hearing aid.

Also, compared to the prices that I was getting from the audio people that I went to, Embrace was half the price. Plus, they were much better than what they were quoting me. They're also guaranteed for three years.

It was very good dealing with their rep. I got the Embrace X-920. I hear better and the Bluetooth capability is very nice, When on a phone, I can put it through my Bluetooth and bring it right into my hearing aids in my ears. I can also do that with music and with articles and with books. So that part is really cool. Their support is outstanding. When you have a question, you just write them and they'll call you. The little wires on my ears are really small and so the little wires from my ears to the hearing aid were long. So they sent us a video of how to make them shorter right away.

I explored the website a lot to see if it answered questions that I had. The thoroughness of the website was the thing that had me seriously consider buying an online hearing aid, which before would have seemed something I had to do in person. But I had a few questions before I purchased the hearid aid that I couldn't resolve by looking at the website and I talked to someone personally. I left a message and they got back to me. I was reassured on a few points I had. I would get them and try them out for a certain period. If they weren't to my liking, you kinda unwind the deal. Because it's an expensive purchase to make online without any in-person customization. So you have to feel reassured that even if you make a mistake, you can kind of backtrack a little and not feel that you were somehow wrong about your online decision. That was important to me, too.

I did a little due diligence beforehand, so I knew the Embrace product was less expensive than other products that seemed to be similar. The hearing aid has been trouble-free. It does what it's supposed to do. It works for me. It’s also very simple to use, which I kind of appreciate, and it’s rechargeable. The responses from Embrace were quick, and the information was good. There wasn't a big sales pitch, and the hearing aid arrived quickly. I had a couple of follow-up phone calls that were initiated by Embrace. So that has been quite good.

Embrace sent me an email with all sorts of descriptions of their product and the reviews from other customers are attached to it. I also spoke with Tim and he was quite convincing and answered all my questions. I was very satisfied with the answers he had given me. I purchased their hearing aids and one of the things that I'm fascinated by having them is the Bluetooth capabilities tied to my phone. Not only do I hear or can answer and speak without holding the phone to my ear, but I can also listen to music, radio, and pretty much anything on my cellphone without even holding it.

The hearing aids are rechargeable, which I also like. I take them off, put them in the charger overnight, and the next morning, they're all lit up and I'm ready to go. Also, I have the app on my phone, which permits me to change the mode from one through four and also increase the volume if I want without touching the volume on a television set. It's great. And the customer service is good. I had an issue with my left hearing aid about four weeks ago, where I was getting continual static and the left ear. I spoke to a doctor and she was very pleasant and helpful. I returned the unit and within a week, I had a replacement. They replaced the inside and it's been working fine for the last two weeks. I'm a happy customer.

Hearing aids can get way out of control price-wise. Now that they changed the law about you didn't have to go to an audiologist to get a prescription, you can do it yourself and that took out the middleman. You're sent a hearing aid test on your phone and then you listen to it. When you hear sounds, you press a button. I did Google searches and Embrace Hearing had a nice website. They were also upfront about costs, and the price was fair. They were competitive with others. First, I talked to a salesman and then we talked about what product might work for me. I made a decision and then after that, a lady got in touch with me. She called me and she stayed very close in touch until everything was okay with me.

The representatives were terrific and the customer support was excellent. I got the one that goes over the ear. It has Bluetooth and I definitely like it. I found when I used it though, the sound of the TV was a little overwhelming. Still, that's not a bad thing. If you had trouble hearing the TV, you could definitely hear it with the Bluetooth. My hearing aids are great, but I don't use it every day. This one doesn't run on batteries. I have to charge it and if I forget to do that, then I don't have it for the day. I find that I only use it when necessary, when I go to a movie or when I'm having lunch with people where I need to hear what they're saying closely.

I was a little bit worried that as people age, their hearing gets even worse. They assured me that I could send them back in and increase the hearing levels whenever I needed it. I was worried about rechargeable batteries and they can be replaced during the warranty period for nothing. But they can be replaced for not all that expensive after the warranty period too. That made me feel better too. I considered other hearing aids too. A lot of people like the in-the-canal ones but I have a kind of an odd-shaped canal so I would have difficulty having it. But the over-the-ear with mask right now is a real pain. Overall, Embrace was reasonable and they had good service.

Updated on 02/15/2024: Through the whole three-year warranty, my Embrace hearing aids were perfect. After the warranty, I started having some issues. But 90% of the time, if I contacted Embrace, somebody gave me a call and proceeded to tell me how to go about things. The receiver on one went bad. They said, “You can watch this video and determine whether you think you could go and replace it yourself or you wanna send it in and have us do it.” Any time I sent in from the brick and mortar place, I never got anything back for almost three weeks. If I had an issue with Embrace and had to send it in, I got it back within a week.

Original Review: I previously had hearing aids through another company. After a course of three or four years, one of them needed to be repaired. When I got it back from repair, they gave me entirely the wrong hearing aids and refused to admit to it. So I had since decided not to deal with them again. I went online and heard other people that got units online, and they thought that they were fairly decent, and the fact that they didn't get obviously person to person contact which was the only issue from other people I had emailed back and forth with.

I saw advertisements about Embrace and I talked to them previously about my hearing loss. They said that the aids are preprogrammed to whatever my hearing test is, just like my previous ones were. At that time, I went and I got a hearing test from an independent outfit and sent that to them. They programmed my hearing aids and I got them within two days. The place was really good. Everything that they said, they did. In general, they walked me through a lot of stuff and I said I already knew that because I had hearing aids before. But they let me know their whole procedures and how things would pan out. I've had them for a couple of months now and I'm very happy with them.

They were trying different types of sleeves, to find the right fit for my ear canal. Then they sent me a pack of the ones that worked for me at no cost. Also, the case was damaged and there's been a new case. Everything has been fine. I'm very happy. Especially in a room, watching television, where before I would just hear mumbles and wouldn't say anything, now, I can actually hear what people are saying. It makes a big difference. After I've been diagnosed with severe hearing loss, I have used other products and I'm still not satisfied. I went online, I Googled. I saw Embrace Hearing four years ago, but I ended up buying from somebody else and it's also a Unitron product and I'm very happy. However, I saw an advertisement online. Embrace has Bluetooth and I just wanna try. So I went back and I checked and they have the unit that I like. At that time, they had a 10% discount. It would end up a little less than the company I previously used. So I liked it and I bought it. I have 110% good experience with them. I sent them my audio and I took the hearing test online. Somebody called me right away.

The gentleman on the phone walked me through and he was really very helpful and very gentle. I purchased and they sent them to me, and less than 24 hours after I received, someone called and did the follow-up to see if I have I charged it or if I have any questions. Three months after that, one of my hearing aid did not light up at all. I sent in the question, then the following day there was a doctor calling me back and she asked me a few questions and she thought the charger case was an issue with my hearing aid. So she went ahead and ordered. I waited for a few days, I didn't hear, but I received a letter from Unitron. Unitron said, "It's in backorder. We'll send it to you as soon as we get it."Another few days after I got the charger, I plugged it in. I put it in my hearing aid. I called the doctor. I left a message and I told her that everything worked.

I found Embrace and a few others from a Google search list of best hearing aids for Bluetooth and noisy settings. I decided to go with Embrace because I like how you can have four different programs on it. I also really liked the Bluetooth feature and how you can connect it to a TV and still play through the hearing aid in the TV so that it doesn't bother other people.

The reps were great. Right after I placed my order, I got a call from them. They asked if I had any questions, went through the process of ordering, sending my hearing test and how they would be programming them. Then they gave me a call or an email to check-in at every step of the way, like when it was sent out, when they were programming it, after it got here, to see how I was doing.

With Embrace, I can hear a lot more and I don't have to have people repeat things nearly as often. I work with child care type center and it's made it a lot easier to hear the kiddos when they're trying to talk to me. It also tunes out extra background noise a little bit. I can still hear all of it, but it's not as amplified as the higher frequencies are. Now, I'm going to return them for a sec in a few days to change to a different program. I'm going to get it set so that I can use the telecoil on it. Embrace is doing great.

I went in and had my hearing tested. I have a profound hearing loss in both ears. Then I went to a hearing aid center where there are doctors there. I also had a hearing test there and it confirmed the original hearing test. But there is no way, on our limited income, I could possibly afford the hearing aids that they offered me. They were $8,000 for the two hearing aids. That center is also about 30 miles from where I live. I don't drive. I have to rely on my husband to be available and take me places. So I started looking for a company that offered hearing aids online by mail, which should save me all of that clinic costs for two years. I also spent a couple of months researching everything about hearing aids. I made a list of all of the things that I wanted in a hearing aid, knowing that when I got them, I would be using them for the rest of my life.

I wanted the hearing aids rechargeable and to make sure they had noise reduction. I have horrible tinnitus that I've had for most of my life, so I wanted something with tinnitus reduction. I wanted it to have my own voice memory. I wanted it to have smartphone controls. In other words, I wanted to be able to control it not with a separate remote, but with my phone, which I already have. I definitely wanted directional microphones. I also wanted to make sure they had wind reduction and feedback reduction. I wanted an open air receiver so I could hear bass sounds as naturally as possible. I started looking for hearing aids that had all of these capabilities.

I looked at all of the models that were available and what I should be able to expect to use with my hearing loss. In doing my research, I was pretty well convinced that I was going to have something that was over the ear because my hearing loss was too great. Embrace Hearing was one of the few, if not the only company, at the time, that offered hearing aids online and recommending for me the things that I wanted, and using the hearing test that I had already had so that I didn't have to go in there. So it was a good fit for me.

I have had such really good service from Embrace. They called me weekly or sent me an email to check in and make sure that everything was going well. I called them when I had some problems and they were able to solve it and tell me how to fix it. When I downloaded software for my phone, everything worked perfect. I could answer phone calls but then, my phone died and I had to get a new phone. With the new Motorola phone, I could not answer phone calls. It was frustrating. It took the longest time to figure that out. Embrace Hearing worked with me and they could not solve it. There's no Motorola store. But they contacted Motorola for me on my behalf. They couldn't have been better. The resolution to that was I had to uninstall the software and reinstall the software. Right now, the controls do not work for my phone, but the Bluetooth does. So it's not the hearing aid, it's the software, and the software is not made by Embrace. They utilize a third party software. But I can manage the controls just fine with the buttons on the hearing aid, which I had thought would be awkward, but it's not awkward at all. It is much easier than digging out a phone or a remote control to operate that.

I'm wonderfully happy having solved the issue of the Bluetooth, and I am so thankful to have the Bluetooth. I'm very satisfied with Embrace. My recommendation to anyone is get the best technology you can possibly afford. If you're not a complete technological neophyte, trust Embrace to do a good job for you. Even ordering by phone and having them sent to you by mail, that saved me $6,000. Why wouldn't anyone want to do that to have the best hearing aids they could possibly get?

I have moderate hearing loss. I checked reviews and found that Embrace had very good ones based on other people who used them. And Embrace backed those reviews up. Their customer service was excellent. In this day and age, customer service seems to be falling away by the wayside, especially on the internet. Tim was my rep and he walked me through the process. I had Embrace before by another company but that company went out of business or for some reason I wasn't able to get ahold of it. But the people worked with me and did what I needed to do by insurance. They called several times since I had them to see how I'm doing. I've had them since the first part of May. So far, they're okay.

If I were to do things over again, I probably would've spent a little extra money for the rechargeable batteries. This particular style I have has Bluetooth and it seems to wear the batteries out extremely fast. That's the only downside of it. Otherwise, I enjoy being able to use the Bluetooth as far as with conversations on phone even though it takes its toll on normal air batteries.

Their reviews were better than everybody else's. That was the first spark both from a product standpoint and probably even more importantly, their customer service was 50% better than the next closest one. That was the first quick notice. And then the price was half of what the closest competitor or at least the ones that I had looked at and considered.

Dr. Pam is great. She's the one who answers the phone and who calls. She is super responsive. A couple of times that I had a question or needed something, she called me back within 15 to 30 minutes tops. She has been very resourceful and accommodating, provided what I needed, even got me a replacement part or a different size on a piece that I needed. I have multiple family members who have other hearing aids and I have found mine to be as good as I expected. However, their app could be better. Their competitors' apps are significantly more dynamic. Other than that, I have 50% hearing loss in one ear and not quite that in the other, and the hearing aids have been a dramatic difference. I can hear. That's the biggest thing.

There was a business opportunity, and an interesting model that he developed as a student, and it worked out. He sold it and I have maintained contact with the new owner. I'm on my second set of hearing aids from them. I take good care of them. I had my first set for about five years. And in the past four months, I got a new set because the old set was getting older and I wanted the Bluetooth connectivity. The representatives of all kinds have been enormously helpful.

The technology of the signal processing is improved such that noisy background is better handled by the hearing aids. My older ones didn't have Bluetooth. My phone is Bluetooth and it's connected to my hearing aids, which is a nice thing. The other huge advantage for me is that my wife has perfect hearing. The television set to the appropriate volume was way too loud for her, but not loud enough for me. So, I stream from the TV into my hearing aids. I turn them down pretty low and I just pick up the high pitched sounds that I miss. So, I don't use subtitles anymore.

The Bluetooth has been a real game-changer. I was a little skeptical. I have a nice relationship with the new owner and he said, "Well, try them. If you don't like it, you can send them back." I didn't think twice about sending him back after the first couple of days. As a physician in this small community, everybody knows me and I know everybody. So, they ask me questions about the hearing aids and I sent Embrace a bunch of customers because I'm very happy with the product and the service. The turnaround for repair is very fast.

The hearing aids from Embrace Hearing help me quite a bit. It's the type of hearing aid where I have to replace the battery on it. Before I wouldn’t be able to hear the sound of people's voices and I wouldn’t know if they were speaking or not. Now, I can hear sound and at least I can direct my attention towards them a lot more quickly than before. A lot of people aren’t complaining anymore that I’m not listening or hearing. They are affordable and at the same time, a lot of the customers are satisfied with them. They are also more professional. I was trying to avoid the whole audiologist and whole doctor consultation and getting them was done online.

The customer service from Embrace Hearing was great. Their rep wasn’t too much of a sales pitch kinda guy. He was calm and was just telling me pretty straight out what the hearing aid involved, what I'd have to do next, and how to take care of it, even though there were videos online on how to do some specific things if I wanted to fix something. But one battery seems to run out a lot more quickly than the other one. On the app, when I wanna check the battery status and I click for the left ear, it never beeps to tell me how much battery I have left on that one. It’s always on the right ear. Other than. that, I’m totally satisfied with them.

The doctor programmed my hearing aids with my hearing test. She was very helpful. She helped a lot with the process of me going through this. I had the hearing receiver itself. But I was not able to hear as well and it was too short. It seem like it was tight-fit around my ears. So she set me up with another one and I had a hard time trying to figure out how to take it out and put it back in. She walked me right through it step-by-step over the phone and always followed up with me. I asked her about the TV box that can go from the TV box to my hearing aid, and the owner of the company sent it to me for free.

The hearing aids that I was using before, I would just put them in my ear and I would be all set. But these hearing aids, I'm not 100% happy with it. Because every time I put them in, I have to program and push the button. It takes me about five minutes to put on my hearing aids. When I go to the store, it seems like I have to reprogram again. It's a pain in the butt because everywhere I go, I have to turn a different level on. Otherwise, things don't sound right. They sound muffled sometimes. Sometimes, I can't even hear my fiance. We were at his place last Sunday watching TV and I couldn't hear the TV. I kept playing around with my hearing aids and I could hear it but I couldn't hear what they were saying. It was like I couldn't hear exactly what I needed to hear. So at that point, it really disappointed me. I haven't put them back in.

For the price and everything, the hearing aids do what I need them to do. If they're doing good enough, I don't need to try a different one that's higher priced. The ones I have now are helping me a lot. Embrace is also easy to deal with and I can always get ahold of them. It's the same people when you call in. The aid seems to be okay although I had to send it back a couple of times to get it adjusted. It was too loud for me so they just need to reprogram it. The price of Embrace Hearing aids was reasonable. I also looked at the fact that they would program the hearing aids and the customer service notes. It was good dealing with their reps. I had moderate hearing loss and I got the 700 Plus model. It was all in-the-ear. It was not rechargeable, but that was okay. They’re good and I like the features.

In the beginning, there was a little bit of pain and some awkwardness trying to find the right tips to fit. I’m using a medium on one side and a small on the other and I still am not sure if I’ve got it exactly the way I want it. The hearing aid is very effective but it’s just an adjustment curve. One person told me to just put them in and never take them out but sometimes, I wanted them out.

I’m not wearing them 100% of the time ‘cause depending on the environment I’m in, it’s almost a little bit annoying. The environment that I was working in had a lot of echoing background noises and some days, I would be okay with them. Some days, I would just take them out because I couldn’t stand all the magnified noises I didn’t wanna hear. But it’s just a matter of getting used to them and getting them adjusted right.

My receiver in my right hearing aid broke in 11 months. It was still under warranty. So no problem. I repaired it myself with part I ordered from Embrace. But my left ear hearing aid broke after warranty had expired. The little wire that connects the behind the ear part to the end with the dome was $70.00 plus $5.00 shipping. And I repaired it myself. This is my third pair of hearing aids and I have never had any other break while using. I guess the savings on the original purchase makes up for repairs.

I've worn hearing aids for probably 30 years. The pair that I had were 14 years old so they were pretty close to the end of life and I had to do something. I'm retired now and I can't afford $5,000 for hearing aids so I thought I would give Embrace a try. The reviews online for Embrace's customer service were very good. It was very easy to purchase from their website and I got their top of the line hearing aids that are not rechargeable. I was surprised that something so tiny could be so powerful and it took a little bit of adjusting. They've been really good about working with me to get things just right.

Their customer service keeps in touch with me. They call or email to find out how I'm getting along and if I'm having any problems. I had a few issues at first. My hearing is very serious so I was a little concerned that I had to have the volume turned up so high. I was afraid that that didn't leave me much room for future hearing loss to be able to dial that farther. I had to send the aids back once to get them reprogrammed and that took Embrace about a week and a half. But they were really spectacular to work with and my aids are pretty good now. For the money, I'm very happy with them. My husband still complains that I'm having him repeat things too often but that's because he mumbles.

I hear sounds with my Embrace hearing aids and it's good. There are processes and procedures that one must follow when using hearing aids day in and day out like keeping it clean, fixing the white little spot, then fixing the wires, to have the humidifier. There are a lot of follow-ons that until one gets comfortable with the procedures of maintaining the hearing aid. So, I am going to one of the local audios, paying $150, and they're helping me maintain it for a year. I didn’t know that I gotta take in and out that white little spec. They're just little things but they make a big difference. Embrace’s point of view is that if they explain, then people will get scared and say that this is too much for them to do on their own. Therefore, they're gonna spend $4,500. But I was motivated not to spend that amount. I spent 2,000. That’s a big difference.

I returned my Embrace hearing aids. I had difficulty with the app on the phone and when I did receive a phone call, it became very annoying. It only transmitted through one ear. And then, there were some other things that were going on where I would get into a room, and I understand a lot of the programming is automatic, but it just didn't seem to adjust properly. I’m in some situations where I'm meeting with a staff group, and some of the female voices are very soft and the HVAC was in the background.

When I would switch to the program, the noise would go away for about four seconds and then it would come back on. I could barely hear the other person talking even though they were only about 10 feet away from me in the room. So, it seem to mistake background noise, which should have been eliminated, as something I wanted to hear, so that became an issue. I talked to the representative, Tim, at the time. And I also wrote this up on the return so they have all the information.

It would be nice to have the feature that when you get a phone call, it comes through on both ears and not just on one. And the programming was not what I expected. Sometimes, there's too much put into the automated portion of the program and it doesn't allow the user enough flexibility to dial it in to a specific environment. We can only go from program to program to program. But sometimes, the program is generic and it doesn't match every situation. I know in a previous pair of Embrace I had, I had a hand control that I could decrease the sensitivity to the higher frequencies and eliminate HVAC noise.

My experience was unfortunate and I understand. I had a pair of Embrace Hearing years ago and one of them died and I needed new hearing aids right away so I went out and got one. Otherwise, I'd have to send it in, and then you're without hearing aids for a while. When you deal with a local vendor who has hearing aids, if you experience difficulty or have a problem, you can take it right in and get things taken care of immediately. It's that delay. Embrace has a good product. I had a good experience and a bad in the past, but it became too difficult to manage and I really wanted something that worked now and not have to go back and forth. There were some issues that were hard to work around.

I wasn’t having a lot of luck with our local audiologists in getting my aids tuned correctly. I was looking for a set of hearing aids that gave me the most programmability. I wanted my new hearing aids to be direct Bluetooth-capable and there’s not a lot of those out there. The cost was a factor as well. I went with Embrace and their customer service has been pretty good. For the fourth time, I’ve had to send my hearing aids in. Embrace is still trying to tweak the program. They shipped out yesterday and I should get my aids back tomorrow.

My biggest gripe about that is Embrabce should switch to overnight shipping both ways because I’m usually here the weekends so I’m without my hearing aids for a good week or more every time I have to send them in. This is not totally inconvenient for me because I have a backup pair. But I’m sure most of their customers don’t have that. Whenever I have to send mine in, I feel sorry for their other customers having to wait a whole week or more to get tweaks. People considering Embrace should be prepared to be without them every time they have to get them adjusted. It’s not like you can make an appointment and go get them adjusted real-time at a local audiologist. You have that wait. That would be the biggest downside to their program.

I've had hearing aids in the past and the ones I've had in my head weren’t working very well, and the company went out of business, so they couldn’t help me anymore. So, I went to an audiologist there and I found a local doctor here that I've been seeing several times, but it was $7,500 for hearing aids. I couldn’t afford them and the insurance didn’t pay for then, so I had to work around some stuff. I saw Embrace online through a Facebook ad and sent them my report. They said they could help me and then, cost was a factor as well when we decided on them.

The customer service with Embrace was great but I had to send the hearing aids back three times. The first time I sent it back, they didn’t correct the problem. So, I had to send them back again and they had to fix it. Then they had to send them back to Embrace to reprogram. The two times I sent it back, it got sent back to the original manufacturer for a problem and when I did, they FedEx-ed everything so it was a one day process. When I dealt with Embrace and had to come back from there, it went to US Postal Service and it took several days. So, they need to consider the fact that you’re out of hearing aids for several days. If you do next day, it’s better. The hearing aids have been in the mail longer than I’ve had them in my head but I’m not complaining about the customer service because they’ve been in contact with me every step of the way.

Right now, I’m trying to get used to hearing sounds again and my left ear is worse than my right ear. I have tinnitus where I have ringing in my ear, so they were dealing with that and we’ve been adjusting the volume up on my left ear, which is why I have them now. So, I’ve been wearing them probably about a week now since I got them back and so far, they seem to be good. I'm hoping they got it squared away.

We bought a rechargeable digital model from them and their reps were very responsive.

From the time I originally ordered the hearing aids, they asked for an audiogram, which we had done by a private audiologist. I sent them the audiogram via email. They programmed the hearing aids and contacted me to tell me all about it. However, they shipped it out with signature waived. I don't know why they did that as it is a very expensive item. The postal service failed to even ring the bell to say that they were making a delivery. They just left the item on the front lobby stairs. They should definitely have somebody signing for an item like that. Fortunately, my mom got home after it was delivered. Also, Embrace's audiologist called up three times, before it was shipped and after it was shipped. Their follow-through was excellent and they made sure the hearing aids were working properly. They also sent a lot of documentation on how to use the hearing aids. Except for the shipping issue, everything else was excellent.

Other people considering Embrace should get an audiogram done in order for the hearing aids to get programmed. It's something the company needs in order to configure the hearing aids because they have different programs for normal speech, music and loud noise. Otherwise, there's no way they can actually set it up properly.

I knew I was one to get a hearing aid so I did a fairly detailed review of all the over-the-counter hearing aid companies. I basically looked at the things that I wanted taken care of with the hearing aid. I wanted to make sure there was digital signal processing, noise cancellation, tinnitus, programming, Bluetooth and a bunch of other things. I found that the S-710 model was at par with a lot of the very high-end hearing aids that are worth thousands more and it had all the features I was looking for. Then I saw that the consumer satisfaction was very high with Embrace. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay but I managed to get them on the Christmas special with 15% off and that seemed pretty reasonable.

I was wanting to get the hearing aids during the 15% off but I ran into problems getting a hearing test scheduled and then getting the results of the hearing test. It took me about a month to get the hearing test to Embrace. But they were very patient. Afterwards, I had a question on getting the Bluetooth to work and Tim, the customer service rep, took me through that. It was on a Saturday too. So all in all, I’ve been very satisfied with customer service. They basically filled me with kindness.

I wear the hearing aids everyday for most of the waking hours and I’m very pleased. I really like the way that the Bluetooth works with my mobile phone. I only have to press one button and I get to talk on the phone and the reception is very clear. It’s great. I also bought the TV plug-in thing and what I figured out, which wasn’t advertised, is that I can plug that into my computer and listen to my computer without the need for headphones or a speaker. I’ve been listening to music on that and that is really great. But I’d really like to be able to do that on my phone too.

If I could listen, streaming music, from my phone via Bluetooth, that would be pretty cool. The way it is set up though is the app allows you to control the settings via Bluetooth but the only Bluetooth that works with sound in your ear is when you get a phone call. I also listen to audiobooks and I tried listening to an audiobook directly from my phone but I couldn’t do it. Nonetheless, I love my Embrace hearing aids.

I came to the computer and it wasn’t working. I tried several times. I tried to call them, but their line was busy. Then I put my hand up my ear and I didn't have my hearing aids in so that was why it wasn’t working.

I like the hearing aids and I have been putting them in in the morning and taking them out at night. I got the best that they sold and the big thing is, I don’t pick up the background noise so much. It’s not perfect yet but it’s so much better than my other ones. I’m happy with them as well as my wife, which is a big thing. It’s not that we always hear each other but it’s not just a continual problem anymore either. These hearing aids from Embrace are working for me. To get the quality of hearing aid that I have would cost me more than double if I went in a normal way. Embrace is making a lot of progress in hearing aids so I don’t have a problem with them. My brother has hearing problems that are worse than I do and he doesn’t wear hearing aids. I kinda wanted him to try some of mine and see how he likes them.

My 91 year-old mother had hearing loss. I've been helping her so we went to Miracle-Ear at Walmart. We didn’t know much about hearing aids. She had some experience with a hearing aid a couple of years ago and just decided it wasn’t worth the hassle. Her hand is shaking, so she had trouble getting them in. But she wanted to try again, so we went to Embrace and they gave us a test and signed us up for some $7,500 hearing aids. Tim at Embrace was really helpful. We sent him the ear test, so they sent us some hearing aids. My mom put them in and she struggled with them for about six weeks. She wasn’t really happy with them, and the amount of money just bothered her. I went online and called several places and figured out we could get the same thing for 1/3 of the price.

All of her children thought she should keep them, but she didn’t feel like they were worth the hassle. She had trouble putting them in and worried about them falling out. We could see that it just frustrated her. And she thinks she hears okay without them, so we speak a little louder and we communicate what we have to, and she’s not frustrated. So, we sent them back. Embrace was wonderful. I was disappointed that she wouldn’t keep them, but she's got an active and good mind and she made the decision. So, I sent them back and they sent us a refund. I haven’t looked at her bank account to see if it's there, but they said they did. I was happy with their product and was happy with the whole experience.

I have Tinnitus. My brother bought some hearing aids from Embrace and was happy dealing with them and with the results he got from his hearing aids. About two years ago, I went to another hearing aid company in town. I tried out something with them but their device didn't seem to do anything that I could distinguish. It wasn't helpful and cost a lot more than Embrace's hearing aids. I got word from my doctor about Embrace and went from there. Their reps advised me to make sure I wear them all the time and get used to my mind being able to phase out what's unnecessary for me to be listening to. I went to the symphony in San Francisco for the first time with my hearing aids and experiencing different things with them was pretty good. So far, everybody at Embrace who has called and answered questions for me has been very helpful. I've been happy with my Embrace hearing aids.

    Original Review: Dec. 12, 2019

My mother has full hearing loss so we purchased an Embrace Hearing Aid in October. It's okay, but it's not what I expected it to be because the hearing quality is not as good for my mother. It's not helping her no matter how high you put it. There is no volume to adjust. It's not optimal. The first time I called their customer service was because it was just popping out. It wasn't staying in. So, the gentleman explained to me what to do, changed the dome, and it seems to stay put now. It helps if the hearing aid stayed in the ear canal instead of falling off. So, that was helpful. You can changed the channels, but not the volume. The volume is still low for her, so it's better than nothing. She still can't hear properly. I haven't contacted Embrace about it. It was custom-made for her. I thought I was done with it.

I had hearing loss in the left ear for about five years. And then suddenly the right ear went about the same as my left ear. At that point, I needed to have something so that’s when I got the hearing aids from Embrace Hearing. I looked at other ones online and I looked at the local one. I went with Embrace with the combination of price and recommendations that I found online, and indications that service was good with them. Purchasing my hearing aids was fairly easy. It’s a long way. They’re in the East Coast and I’m on the West Coast, but they’re very responsive and I found that they took care of the problem that I've had.

The only unfortunate thing is that the problem I had occurred shortly after buying the unit. There was one side that was defective. They had to repair it. Other than that, I can hear better with my hearing aids. It’s louder. The only downside is the shipping time if you have to get repairs. Other than that, they’re very good at paying attention to what your complaint is and taking care of it.

I gave Embrace a shot and the salesperson I mainly dealt with there didn't over-contact. He waited for me to make a decision and was really good to deal with. Thus far, the Embrace hearing aids are better than the pair I had before and they work well. Since going with these hearing aids, everything's been really smooth.

My girlfriend's friend, Lauren, is from Embrace and the prices of the hearing aids were unbelievable compared to what the other doctor had given me. So the doctor where I went to see wanted 4,800. And after speaking to Lauren, she said it would cost about 1,800. It's a huge difference, and I'm really happy with it. In fact, I just met somebody who had an incident like mine, just total hearing loss. I gave her the information and the contact. So I don't know if she went ahead and also purchased it. But I'm very happy with the service and how everything turned out. The customer service was really great. There was a little mix-up on one of the colors that they sent, and they were able to take care of that right away and apologized. I had a great experience overall

I have had hearing loss for a long time since my mid-20’s. I used to be a musician prior to going into my career, so I have had hearing aids. I started off with the in-the-canal hearing aids which I bought at an exorbitant price from an audiologist. Then, I had other hearing aids that I bought over time. Because of the cost and the fact that they are not covered under insurance, I have started buying them online. I started buying the ones that were not customized to my particular hearing loss and they were okay. I could not tell that big a difference when I got them from the eight to nine times as much for what I was paying in an audiologist’s office. So, when I saw that Embrace would actually be able to use my audiogram to custom-tune my hearing aids to my hearing loss, I wanted to give it a shot.

With it, I have noticed that I can listen to conversations better as well as understand speech better. The other ones were not amplifying the higher frequencies enough for my personal loss, and it made a big difference when I got this one from Embrace. So, I have been very happy with them. The ability to adjust it to my specific needs and the fact that I do not have to switch between programs because it automatically switches based on the environment I am in are helpful. Their customer service is also very good. I have had a follow up call from one of their physicians. They asked me some question, and they did very good and were very helpful. Comparing them to my audiologist, I never got a follow up call from him. I'm going to try the miniature all the way in-the-canal ones in the future, but I like the more natural sound I get with the behind-the-ear.

My daughters did some investigating and checking, and they insisted that I get hearing help. They chose Embrace Hearing. Their service has been good. My one daughter has hearing aids and she helped me a lot with putting mine in. My hearing is good and I really notice the improvement.

But they get a little too loud in a big crowd. My feeling isn’t good in the tips of my fingers, so I use the instrument that can turn the volume up and down. I have to remember to take that when I go to a place where there are a lot of conversations. Other than that, I'm well satisfied with the product. We’re alone a lot and I watch quite a bit of TV. It's so nice to be able to understand people talking. I used to have to turn the volume up to 40 to understand but that was too loud. Now, I keep it around 18 or 20.

At the time of my purchase, their customer service was also top-notch. I sent them all of my results from my latest hearing test, then they programmed the hearing aids. Also, they're in constant communication with me to see how the hearing aids are working. If I have a problem, I send them back, and they’ll do adjustments until we get it right. This is my first pair, so I’m still learning about them and how they’ll work. So, I didn’t know what to expect, but they’re helping me a lot.

Before I got my Embrace hearing aids, I was having trouble with hearing high-pitched noises in crowds and there was a setting on the particular set that they gave me that they programmed for noisy conditions, and that seems to be working well. Also, they auto-adjust. So, if I'm working in a loud environment and I change environments, they auto-adjust for me. It’s a pretty nice feature. The price was very fair, too. All in all, I would totally encourage others to try Embrace. They’re very consumer-oriented and they care about the products that they’re putting up. And the follow-up service is fantastic. They wanna make sure that every customer here is good and for an online company to do that, it’s outstanding.

My Neuro Otology surgeon suggested going for BiCROS HA as a normal hearing aid for my right ear will be more of a irritation than help. Most audiologist were trying to sell the high end normal HA that are not BiCROS. After I researched and read consumer affairs reviews I decided to contact Embrace Hearing and Mr. Tim ** informed me about all the HA they carry and advised me to mail in the audiometry report in order help with choosing the right HA and for programming. Even though there are newer HA lines available he suggested I go with H700 for good reasons. H700 supports BICROS and it can also be programmed for normal mode which the newer lines don’t.

It is also very cost effective as the new features offered in the newer line cannot be used for my specific situation. The price was almost a third of of what others were offering for the ones that won’t help me. When the HA arrived there were enough cells to last 3 to 4 months and additional domes of different sizes to try along with cleaning accessories. I also ordered the uStream remote that streams sound from cell phone, computer or TV via Bluetooth to the hearing aid using very low power NFC radio frequency. So far the HA battery lasts about 6 days. It really works well for me and it has 4 programs (BICROS, normal mode, music mode and tinnitus). The BICROS mode is especially of great help to me when I am in a meeting and people are talking on my right. My experience with Embrace Hearing has been great and their customer support has been top notch. I have been using the HA for 3 weeks and I am very happy with it.

I ended up with Embrace and have used them for myself. I’ve used them for my mom and have had one changed and updated, and the service has been excellent. I've been using the H700, which is their top of the line. There may be one out that’s upgraded now. But when I called to inquire about the difference to purchase that at the time of a new hearing test, they advised me that I probably would not notice the difference. So, I got the one that I had recalibrated. They were very honest and very ethical. They could’ve easily tried to sell me a second, brand new, updated, and they didn't.

The customer service reps are very knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions in the upfront research part, and I was very pleased with the whole process. I wouldn’t be able to function now without my hearing aids because I still do a lot of speaking to large groups. So, both in intimate settings of small conversation counseling with people, the ability to hear in that context, and also, the ability with the features to be able to pick out voices in a room, I would not have that without hearing assistance.

I lost all my hearing in my left ear 40 years ago when I was in Vietnam, and my auditory nerve is severed. Any repairing or amplifying we did in my left ear would not be able to get to my brain. My right ear has been fine until about six months ago, and I had a sudden, moderate to severe hearing loss in my right ear, which was quite upsetting. It happened while I was talking on the phone to somebody. It didn't happen gradually, it happened all at once. I’ve gone to two otolaryngologists. They said I’m 78 years old, and it happens with age. I’m still skeptical of the medical professionals’ explanation. We tried a couple things to try to treat it, and neither of them had any effect at all.

I’ve known a lot of people who purchased hearing aids in the last two years. Within six months, every one of them decided not to use the hearing aids any more for a variety of reasons like dealing with feedback and echoes. I was considering not buying a hearing aid but I finally decided. I do a lot of public speaking and a lot of leading of groups and so forth, and I need to be able to hear. I did some investigating on the web, and I contacted three different companies. The man I talked to at Embrace was incredible. I was also leaning towards trying to buy a device from someone in Baltimore where I live so that they could physically look at it and adjust it, and show me how to do things to it.

This fellow had really good answers for why things would work better with Embrace because they have videotapes. They also have people on call, and they don't have to wait three or four weeks for an appointment to watch those videotapes. It was that man’s pleasant intelligence and conscientiousness that led me to make the decision. I was also very interested in the thing that they call a TV connector, and I definitely wanted one of those. I like it because I don't have to turn on the subtitle or the closed captions anymore. I can understand what people are saying. I don't like everything they're saying on the news these days, but I understand it. I also discovered when I read the literature that came with that device a little more that it can also work with my computer.

About three hours ago, I did a webinar online for a bunch of people. I had had difficulty doing that lately since I lost all this hearing. I just plugged that TV connector into my computer, and it went straight in Bluetooth right into my ear. It was fabulous so I ordered a second one. I don't wanna have to keep moving back and forth between my computer and my TV. It is better because I can listen to that television as loud as I wanna listen to it, and nobody else hears it in the house. That’s a feature I didn't have when I was listening with my real ear.

I was skeptical about hearing aids, and I put mine in right after it arrived. We had a little trouble, and this nice guy talked me through. A little bit of wax had gotten on the thing that’s underneath the wax guard, and he showed me how to take that off. He talked me through cleaning it. After that, I stuck it in my ear. I’ve had none of the problems that my friends reported having. It’s not perfect. I have lots of trouble in noisy rooms, still. Also, I drive a cute little convertible, and I have lots of trouble with the wind in my ear. But those aren’t their fault. I’m a skeptic who has become a zealot for my hearing aid.

About three weeks after I had fallen in love with my hearing aid, I had to fly to a conference where I was giving a paper in Texas, and on the way there, I fell asleep on the plane. We landed and I went to the rental agency, got a car and drove to my hotel room only to discover that I didn't any longer have my hearing aid. It apparently fell off in the plane and I didn't even notice it. I came home and immediately bought a second one. That’s the one I’m now in love with. In fact, I like this one better. It comes with a little wire thing that you’re supposed to curl up in your ear, and you use that to pull it out of your ear. It’s different from the thing that’s connected to the hearing aid itself. With my first one, that little wire thing wouldn’t stay in my ear.

My professional life was becoming more and more difficult before I got this hearing aid. Also, my wife doesn't get mad at me because I can hear her. Embrace Hearing perhaps saved my marriage. The only thing is I don't like the picture of the woman that comes up while the app is coming up on the phone. It’s sexist. I don't know why you have to put a beautiful woman on there. When you open the little app on your phone, it takes a while for the thing to load, and while it’s waiting to load, they have a blonde woman in a red dress leaning up against the side of the wall and that bugs me every time it comes up.

I've had a progressive hearing loss, and then in May, I could hardly hear out of my left ear. I started trying to figure out what the problem was and the ENT said that there's nothing wrong with my ears but I am at that age where I'm gonna have some problems without any medical reason. So, with the partial hearing loss, I went to the place that did my hearing test but their hearing aids would cost more money than what I was ready to spend. I then found Embrace, which was about half of the price, and I gave them a try. However, I was having problems with it. I'm an older lady whose day is filled with television, and I wasn't hearing television as well as I had anticipated hearing.

Embrace was quick to respond and always helpful. They would give me suggestions over the phone and even offered to reprogram and see if that would help. But that takes sending the hearing aids back in and waiting for them to come back. My problem was not having someone I could actually go to and talk to person to person to see if I was doing things right. Being a first time user, I felt that it's more complicated and I needed a little bit more hands-on. So, I returned the hearing aids shy the 45 days that I was granted, and they made the process very simple. Their paperwork indicated that it could take a couple of weeks before the refund comes back to me. Everybody that I worked with was very good, and if anything that I try after this isn't any better, then I would definitely come back and get another pair from them.

I had had a prior hearing aid in one ear some five years earlier. And I hadn't liked it because of the way it was constructed. It was one of those you charged overnight. I always was out of rhythm. I forgot to put it in at night, and I didn't have it in the morning. I didn't use it very much. And then, when I checked in to look at some point, I felt I should probably replace that hearing aid with two hearing aids because I noticed that I had some difficulty understanding friends. I priced it, and it seemed outrageous. It seemed 6,000 and up. I checked out one that a peer recommended, and it was 40% discounted. But including the discount, it was 6,300. And then, somebody said there's really good hearing aids that I can buy online called Embrace.

I got the medium hearing aid from Embrace but I don't use it all the time. I took too hard the fact that a hearing aid doesn't give you perfect hearing, but it helps. When I wore it to a restaurant, it gave me some difficulty because the background noise was loud, and it tended to override the voices of the people at the table. That may be because I have a simpler model that doesn't really allow all the fancy accommodations. And I also hadn't bought anything with the view to be comfortable in large groups. I wanted something to be comfortable in small groups.

It took me a while also to become adept at putting them in. It was a little difficult, and my ears would hurt or itch or feel very uncomfortable. But after a while, that settled in. And now, I'm pretty good at putting them in. When I wear them, the hearing is quite more agreeable. I find a significant difference, and I hear considerably better with them on than off. I'm quite pleased with them. I have recommended the hearing aid to a number of people.

He said I shouldn't have sent it there and not to send it there again. They were kind enough to forward it to him but I felt that he was a little rude. At that same time, it said in the instructions that you could ask the right size for the ear portion and I wrote in that same written conversation that the conch lock was not fitting right in my left ear. The gentleman said he would forward me more of those and he would forward me the medium-sized ear portion that goes inside your ear, and that was probably five weeks ago.

We were traveling, so three days ago, I wrote back and said that it has been about at least a month. I didn't know if I should expect those to arrive or if it was lost somewhere in the system. They were attentive when still waiting for me to send my money and then after that, it's kinda like, "Oh, too bad." I wasn’t pleased with that. I've been a little bit disappointed with the service since the purchase but I would recommend Embrace.

I have moderate hearing loss in one ear. I did some research on the internet and Embrace seemed like they had decent equipment and price was okay. The main guy I dealt with seemed pretty professional. I contacted them via email to start with and they called me. We talked about what they had, what kind of equipment they had and some of the different technical questions I had. And then, I had some questions afterwards after I got them, so the same fella called me back and spent about 45 minutes on the phone with me going over some things on how to use them and some particular issues I was having with them. He spent quite a bit of time with me. It's difficult to get used to the hearing aids. But everything I read said that that was probably the case.

Updated on 10/15/2023: Embrace has always been reasonably taking care of me. My only disappointment is that my hearing aids gave out. They're warrantied for three years. I had to replace them in four. I hope the ones that I've replaced them with now last more than that. I know people who have had hearing aids for much longer than that and the hearing aids are still performing. Other than that, their customer service has been exceptional. I'm pleased with doing business with Embrace.

Original Review: There were certain situations that I didn’t hear too well, but others seemed okay. I looked online for hearing aids and I first got the ones on the free trial from this hearing aid company. But for the amount of perceived benefit I received, it wasn't worth the $6,200 they were charging me. So, I returned those, then I started looking for somebody else. I read reviews about Embrace Hearing and found it good, so I gave them a try.

I’m doing pretty well with Embrace Hearing aids. It’s the best model they have and I've had them for three months. They're comfortable. When I have them in, I don’t even realize that I’ve got them in. I’m hearing a little better and they seem good, so far. I can watch TV and have my car radio with a couple of clicks lower than I used to.

Unfortunately, we had terrible wind gusts the other day and the wind took one right out of my ear. So now I’m just dealing with one until I get the other one. They told me it would take about four days to get it from their provider, and then they would be getting it to me in the mail. Other than that, the reps from Embrace Hearing have been really pleasant and cooperative with me. I have no complaints and everything is going well.

I have a unique kind of hearing loss, that doctors can’t figure out what I got. It's not just straight hearing loss. I have tremendous fluctuations. Aside from the reviews on the internet and the quality of Embrace's products, I chose them over other companies because I have talked to Tim and I knew that there was somebody there that I could call about anytime I wanted to. I like the level of his knowledge and that they were always there. I don’t have to drive downtown to make an appointment. I just make a call, and he can talk to me. Also, I would not be spending twice as much money for the same thing. I have the Embrace 700 Plus and it helps me hear sometimes, then other times, I don’t need to wear them.

For almost a year that I’ve had the hearing aids, I’ve only worn them around a total of three months, and it’s off and on. When I can’t hear, it helps me just so I can participate in a conversation. I have the Bluetooth and the TV streamer, and the adjuster works good. Turning the volume up and down works good. But one thing I would like to have available is the ability to adjust each hearing aid independently. I would also like to try and see if they could make the hearing aids a little clearer for me. But due to my own laziness, I haven’t sent the equipment back in to get them adjusted and get the clarity figured out.

Barry was at the point where he couldn’t really hear people. He was having trouble making out what they were saying. He started becoming annoying to me because he would say, “Huh? What did you say?” And I didn’t even wanna talk to him anymore. We had ordered a hearing aid through the mail from another company, but it was one of these amplifiers that we didn’t realize. We felt it could’ve made him go deaf totally, so he sent it back. We had some appointments with other hearing people that had offices around here, but the prices were very high.

We had put Embrace Hearing in the back of our mind. We were thinking about it, then we did some more research on it and they had the same product that the other people were selling for close to $5,000. So, he took a chance on it because there was a "use" period and he could send it back. Barry loves it. He was really impressed and he thought he made the right decision, and Embrace has also been very helpful. It was good when he could hear and it has really made a change that he can hear what I’m saying. Embrace hearing aids make a big difference for people that can’t really hear.

The person that my husband spoke to wanted to continue speaking with him, but we realized it is a smaller company and they have limited staff. We accepted that. There wasn’t someone there all the time to speak to, but the man got back to us. If they had one here or anywhere near us that we could call, they could set up an appointment and we could come in, but we couldn’t do that here. We have to wait until that particular individual was on call. Nonetheless, Barry feels we got a fine product. One that had all the bells and whistles would cost a great deal of money.

I didn't realize how bad my hearing loss was until I had an upper respiratory problem that I thought would be solved. When they did the hearing test, they said I had severe hearing loss in the right and age-related in the left. Embrace Hearing was offering about the same thing as other companies but for a lot less price. They were also very kind and responsive to calls. When you call, you get somebody. If there's no technician available to talk to you, they always call me back within about an hour. I have Embrace's behind the ear hearing aids. With it, the television doesn't have to be quite as loud. Unfortunately, I don't think I got a really good response in the right because I still have this very dull sound that feels like a big echo. It's relieved a little bit but not substantially. But I hear better with the left ear. I test the hearing aids when I take them out. I know that I'm getting a better hearing.

I was not hearing and could not understand the conversation inside of a restaurant. There was also a bit of a mix-up of generally talking to people. I tried some other hearing aid companies that had the ear tube from the power source to the ear and didn't like that a whole lot. I went to see a regular hearing aid specialist and she showed me there some of the hearing aids. She can give me a real bargain. It was $4,500 to go that route and it was very good. Then I talked to another fellow at church. He said he paid $7,000 for one and had to get it in his pocket. He could change the volume and everything on his hearing aids.

I went off looking to see if I could find one with a wire that seemed to be like that. I found it and it was listed as a German-type hearing aid. It seemed that it has a lot of what the high-priced one had and I gave it a try. The staff at Embrace Hearing answered my questions. With the hearing aid, my hearing quality is better and I can understand most of the television programs. I am enjoying my experience with them. If a friend of mine is considering purchasing from Embrace, I'd tell them to try it. I have already told a friend of mine about it. I made him clean out his ears and put on a set of those on him. I plugged it in and let him listen. He liked it. He was sitting in the kitchen and talking to his wife in the other room. He was hearing her, where in the past he wasn't.

It has made them more clear. The negative thing is when I'm in a crowd or a noisy room, it seems to pick up all the noises. If somebody's talking to me and there's a lot of noise around me, I still can't pick up that person's voice. On the other hand, my interaction with their team was awesome. I had some decrease in hearing as indicated largely by my wife for a few years. In retirement, I also joined a group called Lexington Storytellers and I found that I was increasingly struggling to hear particularly the kindergarten students as they would ask questions or make comments. Then when I would ask them to repeat, they were often intimidated. They would think they had asked a bad question. So I wanted to be able to hear them more clearly. My hearing exam showed that I had lost some hearing in the higher frequencies that are typical of young children. But the audiologist also said that I was in that in-between range where some people find that they gain significant benefit from their hearing aids but others feel like it doesn't do them any good. So she said it was my personal choice.

I decided to go ahead and I was impressed with the material that I was reading about Embrace on the internet. One of the things that frustrated me though was that it was very hard to find good comparative information on hearing aids. Most people have only had one or two brands of hearing aids in their experience so they either like what they have or they don't but they don't have comparisons. On the other hand, when I called Embrace, I felt like I was getting sound information as opposed to a sales pitch. So that impressed me. They were also considerably less expensive than others and that appealed to me. Embrace operates largely online and their argument is that you pay the $150 to go, have the audiologist check out your hearing and let them know what the audiologist found then they would reprogram the product for you as you need it.

They also said that what often happens is that there's a relatively small amount of money that actually goes into the hearing aid then the prices increase to cover the handling. They also said that you would often find that others would boost that price up. They would tell you you're getting a top-of-the-line hearing aid and therefore it's more expensive. To some extent, that's certainly true. But then the folks are likely to charge you even more and tell you that by paying more, you're getting free service.

There are some people who might greatly benefit by sitting down with a hearing aid technician to walk them through things. But Embrace has online videos showing how to change the batteries and the wax guards, and I'm able to follow the directions. So in my experience, it has all worked the way they have suggested that it should work. So I'm pleased. I paid less than a thousand dollars for my hearing aids and as far as I can tell from talking with other people, they will do just about whatever other people are getting out of theirs.

One of the reasons I was also willing to try Embrace was all of the reviews they had online. They were not all positive but everybody said that the company has been very quick to respond to their questions, and that has been my experience as well. Over the phone, they were certainly helpful in terms of telling me what I might expect. When I called to discuss things, they did a very good job as well. The technical person answered my questions and provided information. I sort of anticipated that at the end of that time, he was gonna turn me back to the sales force or try to push me to order right then but he didn't. He simply told me to get back with them if I had any other questions. So I've been very positively pleased with the relationship.

I've also had emails from them telling me things I might try. I got an email suggesting that because of the way the batteries are designed, if when you first put them in, you take the little tab that covers the battery off and expose it to the air for a few minutes, that will increase the life span of the battery by 25%. And that's certainly in the range of what my experience has been. So that is one example of their follow-up and taking care of me.

In terms of the hearing aids, I think the audiologist was correct. I'm not always sure whether I am benefitting from them or not. But there have been a couple of times that I've seen evidence that they're doing me some good. On Saturday mornings, I ride my bike while my friends are jogging and sometimes, that means that I am behind them rather than with them. Previously, I had found that it was increasingly difficult to keep up with the conversations. But since starting wearing the hearing aids, I've noticed that I'm much more engaged in the conversations. I am probably also more comfortable with the small children when I'm telling stories.

The aids I've got are programmed for hearing in large conference rooms where I want to hear the speaker in front of me and mute the sounds behind me, and I think I can detect the difference. I am more comfortable in those situations when I change the program for that setting. There's also a setting that is supposed to mute road noises and when I tried that on one occasion, I found it easier to listen to the radio. The road noise was significantly less and that was even in a pickup truck with larger than usual tires where the road noise is greater than it would be in a passenger car. The hearing aids are helping me some and in situations that I value having better hearing. I've also been very impressed with how comfortable they are and I've told other people if they start looking for hearing aids, they ought to look at Embrace.

I had my last hearing aids for about five years and I could press down from my ear to control it. With Embrace's hearing aids, it's hard to do on the ear. It doesn't click as easily as the others. You have to push really hard and it just pushes the whole hearing aid down. It's almost like I have to take it off my ear to adjust. They should do a better job on that push button on the hearing aids. The ones that I was using for five years has a better sound and didn't have as much of a tinny sound as the Embrace Hearing ones.

I tried another brand that I ordered online, and I like Embrace Hearing much better. The Embrace Hearing has less of a tinny sound than that and has a better quality. It has multiple features. I think there are about three or four programs and it's supposed to adjust to the programs automatically. If I'm in a crowd, there's a program for that. I bought an extra handheld rectangular object that controls the sound as well. I really like the hand control feature, but carrying it around all day is bulky. If I'm upstairs and I need to change it, I have to come downstairs to get my hand control.

This is the first time that I've been able to hear for quite a while, especially in a crowded room. I can communicate better with the people if I can hear what they're saying. I'm still not hearing as well as I would like to hear though. There are still times when I miss things when I talk to people, especially if they have a really soft voice, but it is an improvement. Plus, every time we called, their crew has been very polite and helpful. The Embrace Hearing was a lot less expensive than the one that I had for five years but higher than some of the other internet purchases. For the money, Embrace's hearing aids are a good investment.

Embrace tried several things to fix it. They had me go to a local audiologist and had molds made in my ear. They also made special inserts and they tried those but it did not improve it much at all. So, I told them I was not satisfied with them, and I returned them. I also could never call their customer service. They had a live person answering the phone but she always had to have them call me back. It kind of irritated me because every single time I call, I had to spell my name for them. Then, they wanted my telephone number and my email address. I talked to them a dozen times and they did not write them down. So, the last couple of times I called them, I refused to give them my email.

I have had probably at least three sets of hearing aids over the last 20 years and none of them have worked. But, Embrace was very cooperative and they tried extremely hard to get me fitted but it was not working out. I’m very satisfied with the efforts that they put in to try to get me fitted, but I was not very satisfied with the results because they did not help a lot.

Embrace Hearing has a good rating and when I contacted them, they seemed to be concerned with my mild hearing loss and so they gave me a lot of information. The sales rep I worked with explained the various hearing losses and gave advice as to what type of accessories will go with different hearing aids. This rep wasn't pushy as well. I've got the model that has a discreet appearance to it cause my wife was concerned about the people looking at me with the hearing aid. So far, I was able to speak to their customer service rep when I thought I lost one of my hearing aids. I called them and they were going to arrange for me to get another one when I came across it. So I called back and canceled it. Overall, Embrace is an honest company. They have a good product at a middle-of-the-road price. I've been happy with them.

My previous hearing aids were stolen and I had to replace them. I talked to Embrace about buying hearing aids from them and they said they were gonna be like my old ones. These were half the price of my previous ones and they’re excellent. Also, with my old one, the one I put on the right ear has that little red paint on it and there’s more red paint on this one, so it’s much easier to see. It was an improvement over the old one. I have partial hearing loss and when I’m in a bar, for example, these hearing aids work pretty darn good. I’m totally satisfied. I’ve told several of my friends that they should go to Embrace to buy hearing aids.

I have hearing loss in my left ear that was more than the hearing loss in my right ear. I researched online for hearing aids and Embrace Hearing had a lot of positive responses. However, I’m having problems with the hearing aids. I hear the TV a little bit better, but when people talk to me, I have trouble hearing. I’m having difficulty hearing in a crowded room. I can pick up noises like rustling paper. It’s almost too loud. And then when I try to talk to people, I have trouble hearing them. I reached out to the customer service at Embrace and I probably should call them again. They've been always very nice, supportive, and quick to get back to me. They were great. Also, the hearing aids were much better priced than all of the others.

My old hearing aids wore out after 10 years and when I cast around for somebody else that was doing it online, Embrace Hearing seemed to have a good review status. A lot of people recommended them highly and they had very few negative reviews. I contacted them and Tim was very helpful in going through the order sequence. The shipment was also very prompt. However, the behind-the-ear model that I got has to be improved. After wearing the hearing aids for several weeks with the way they came to me, the high frequencies are overbearing sometimes. The sustained tones also sound watery all the time. That’s not good. I also don’t like that I can’t get them adjusted. With my former hearing aids, I had a computer program that allowed me to set the curves on it. But now, I can’t do the adjustments myself. I’m gonna have to send these in to get them done. But that's the only negative about the whole issue.

I have severe hearing loss on both ears and in choosing hearing aids, the pricing was the main thing. Hearing aids are expensive. There’s no way around that. But going through a local provider was about twice as expensive as buying from Embrace. I paid a little over $3,000 for the set-up I have now. Through other companies, it would have been $6,000 to $7,000. With Embrace, I had to go get a separate hearing test at a local company to be able to send in. After that, I don’t know if there would have been any difference in me having to go to an actual brick-and-mortar store as it was online. But it worked out good and I’d recommend others to check out Embrace.

The people that I work with at Embrace have provided everything that I've needed. I didn’t have any issues with sales or service. They also followed up to make sure the thing was all right. I got the H-700 and it has helped a lot. I couldn’t continue to keep my commercial driver’s license without hearing aids so I had to purchase something to be able to pass the physical. Now that I have them, I've been able to get my physical and I’m able to drive commercially. I also like the Bluetooth feature for the phone. The hearing aids have helped with the phone and the TV controls. Those have helped me personally as much as anything else with family.

I had a hearing aid way back when I was working in construction and it couldn’t work because I was in a very noisy environment. But I knew that I had a hearing drop so I went in and got another hearing aids from Embrace Hearing. Initially, I researched on the internet about them. I paid $2,800 for just one hearing aid back in 2008, so their price was right and I said I’d give them a try. So far, I'm relatively satisfied with my hearing aid. It fits behind the ear and has a little cone that goes inside the ear. I found out that it double beeps on every hour and I didn’t know that before. Then at midnight, it does several beeps. Also, the little ear piece was bent wrong to fit in my ear and if you look at it, it was like somebody did two rights. I kinda walked around and got it to where it worked, but it is hard to put in. Other than that, their team has been good and with my new hearing aid, I can hear the door squeaking again.

We're about 30 miles away from the audiologist that did my wife's hearing tests, and the idea that we could get hearing aids online would be an advantage to us. We researched a lot of sites and we got the best opinion of all of them was about Embrace. They seemed like a very good possibility with their customers reviews. Everything was excellent with their representatives. We were very pleased with the hearing aids because the rep was able to put them in her ears and everything seemed to be fine. She was really pleased with them.

My wife found the hearing aids from Embrace okay initially, but she's suspicious that it's not working, but we're going to try a couple more tests with a good blockage of the other ear. Other than that, the hearing aid in her right ear is working fine and she's been very pleased. With these things, if one is working, you can be unaware that the other one really isn't 100%. So that way, if the hearing aid hasn't been 100%, she wasn't aware of it because of the fact that she was always wearing the other one. Also, her hearing without hearing aids is still reasonably good, so with what she's feeling now, we'll have to do a more objective test. Other than that, we were completely satisfied dealing with Embrace and with the response we got, and with the delivery. In all those aspects, everything went well.

I have moderate hearing loss and I got BTE hearing aids from Embrace. My experience with them has been fine. I got the prescription from another audiologist and sent it to Embrace and then they filled it on the internet. The hearing aids are priced at $4,000 from an audiologist, $2,500 from Costco, and then around $1,800 from Embrace. The hearing aids from Embrace seem to work well. I’ve lost one and the company provided another one at a discounted price. So, they stand behind their product and they do a good job. Their customer service team is very fast as well. They got back with me on the weekend, so they seem pretty switched on. They are also really, really good about being always available.

My hearing loss was considered profound and one hear had 60% going. It was pretty bad. I’ve used two other brands of hearing aids without much success. After wearing two different kinds of hearing aids, I found out about the hearing aids that have the receiver at the end of a wire, closer to your eardrum. My audiologist told me that would be the thing that I need in order to get a clearer hearing but their price was pretty high, so I looked online and shopped around. I wound up just phone calling Embrace. I went with them just by talking to the first person I talked to. He was very knowledgeable and he told me everything I needed to know and the things that I have already learned from experience. I knew that he was involved in it deep enough to know what’s going on. So, I was confident that I was gonna get a good deal out of it.

From what I’ve seen and talked about with my audiologist from before, Embrace's hearing aids are a comparable unit to the top-end hearing aids that I was offered and that was twice the price. I looked it up and studied it. As far as the technology and the capability of the electronics inside the hearing aids, Embrace's hearing aids are pretty much the same as what the high-end ones are. I got my hearing test records and faxed it to Embrace. Then, they sent me the unit and I had the hearing aids in three days.

The cost was half of what my audiologist told me I would have to spend and it's a feature that I liked. Also, the unit has a remote control with four channels that gives me four separate options as far as how much outside background noise I have. The hearing aids are great and Embrace's reps have been totally responsive every time I asked a question and they have been really easy to get ahold of. I'm 90% satisfied. I was hoping to get a little adjustment made to them but it has been very easy. It was easier than actually going to an audiologist.

My hearing was in the moderate range approaching severe in one ear. I didn’t realize the extent of the loss even though I wasn’t hearing so well until I started using the hearing aids. Now, when I put them in, I can hear the difference. I looked into two other companies, one referred by my health insurance and the other, I knew through personal experience. And based on the products I was offered, the product that Embrace Hearing offered was the most cost-effective and for the price of what I was getting, I was getting a better product. They were also very responsive to answer my questions and I had been talking to Embrace Hearing for several months until I decided to go with them. Also, my brother had used them and I knew that he was happy with it. I bought the highest end model, the behind the ear with a piece of wire that goes into the ear.

So far, I went with the Bluetooth feature and that way I'm able to use it to talk on the phone and to listen to audio. And I can raise and lower the volume and answer the phone through the Bluetooth which makes it a lot easier and adaptable for my usage. Also, part of why I went with Embrace Hearing was because I could not have afforded this Bluetooth. I could not have afforded it if I had gone with one or the other company. I did the credit card, so I'm paying it off, but Embrace Hearing's price was about half for what it would have cost for the same device, for the same features, for this kind of ability, the Bluetooth and the hearing aid on this end. Their reps were very informative and patient with me. They answered my questions. When they didn’t hear from me for a while, they contacted me to ask me if I needed anything. It was very helpful and I know that they're available if I have any further questions.

Since I got Embrace Hearing, when I'm listening to a phone call or talking on the phone, my hearing is a lot more accurate. Last time I went to a class and I couldn’t hear the teacher and then there were a lot of interrupting noise, such as a loud air conditioner and there wasn’t people talking but it was a very loud air conditioner blower going in the background. So, I used the Bluetooth to raise the volume and then I was able to hear the teacher. Whereas, before, I would have had to move up closely and I still might not have heard. I'm now able to participate in things more comfortably than before. It's giving me access to a kind of quality of life that I was missing.

I'm definitely getting what I'm paying for. I would have paid the same amount for something that would have been half as good if I had gone with the local guy who I trusted because I had contact with him with my mother-in-law who had very old hearing aids and we needed somebody to service them and I really trusted the local company. They were very, very good about support answering questions and doing adaptations for her. So, I was going to go with them, but then they offered me a product and it just didn’t have the capacity that I needed and it was about the same price of what I paid for my Embrace. It wouldn’t have served my needs and I know I wouldn’t have used it.

I said to my daughter, “When you need hearing aids, let me know and I'll send you over there because it's a lot of money when your insurance doesn’t cover it.” What the insurance was willing to cover was, they sent me to this company and they gave me a little discount but it didn’t even come close. I couldn’t even wear them. They were so uncomfortable. So, I would definitely recommend Embrace Hearing

I liked Embrace Hearing's advertisements and the communications I had with them before I purchased. Plus, the price was better than others out there. During the initial interaction, they gave me a lot of information about their services and the hearing aids they offer. I had moderate hearing loss and they asked me questions about it. Based on that discussion, I had gotten the in-canal hearing aids. At first, I was having an issue with feeling a bit clogged up but they sent me a set of different attachments for the ear and now it feels much better. It’s definitely comfortable.

I had gone originally to Costco, but I returned their hearing aids, which are manufactured by Rexton. The Embrace Hearing aids are also Rexton but are much better than the ones from Costco. They’re much more advanced. Rexton is a major manufacturer out of Germany so the Embrace Hearing is a really good, well-made hearing aid. It has really helped me hear clearly. I now have no issues hearing in a restaurant type environment or in a meeting type of environment where I can’t always hear the individual speaking. Even after the sales, the service has been good. I’ve gotten back to them on a couple of things and they’ve been very responsive. I’m very satisfied.

Before contacting Embrace Hearing, my hearing loss was severe. Aside from them, I also looked at a number of other companies that provide similar products and it was from the literature or what I read on the internet about the products that I made a decision on what brand of hearing aid to buy. They all sounded the same, but Embrace seemed like they might have a little more technology in their product, so I went with them and I got the style with a receiver in the ear. But since I was purchasing my hearing aid from them over the internet, I was making a major guess that their product was as good as any of the hearing aid brands. Also, as I had never worn a hearing aid in my life until now, getting used to it was a big factor and sometimes I didn't like it at all. Nevertheless, the reps were straightforward and they delivered what they promised.

My hearing loss was noticeable. I had issues with high notes in the left ear and there were times I couldn’t follow a conversation in the right ear so I had to do something. I went to three hearing aid companies. There are some reliable companies out there but most of them have profits depending on extremely high margins. I researched on the online companies and there are four of them that seemed to have some evidence of reliability.

Any online experience has shortcomings and a hearing aid is a technical product that might benefit from a more personal contact plus a little bit more of a fine-tuning via one-on-one thing with the technician. However, I don’t have a profound hearing loss and Embrace Hearing was the easy and perfect solution that I found. I also went to ConsumerAffairs' website and read reviews of their customers that led me to believe that it might be a sustainable solution.

I called and talked to a very knowledgeable gentleman. As compared to a lot of hearing representatives in the retail trade, he was not particularly forceful. He was very forthcoming, answered my questions in a plausible way and gave me some confidence that maybe it would work. I did not find them at all disreputable on the surface which was most gratifying. The service provided by the team was not transparent because it’s an online company. I was not talking to a technologist, but it was very plain and straightforward. I sent in my hearing test and they gave me a solution. I had a behind-the-ear hearing aid from them. They programmed the aids, sent them back and they worked fine.

The purchase of hearing aids made my conversations with those around me much clearer and much more understandable. It allows me to listen to music in a better fashion and it picks up high notes that I was losing. It was an improvement and Embrace fell within the insurance payment so it’s a nice accommodation for me. I can buy the hearing aid and I can try it. If it doesn’t work, I can send it back then I can go with something more expensive and potentially better. I’ve gone to hearing aid companies and they came back saying that they got one bargain price at $4,500 per hearing aids, but I don’t think that $4,500 solution would be potentially better than the one I got.

Before contacting Embrace, my hearing loss was pretty serious. It was moderate to severe on one ear. Everybody from Embrace has been great and every time I called, they’ve been really helpful. I liked the cost and they gave me a 45-day trial period. I figured that if we didn’t like the hearing aids, we will send them back but we did so we’re keeping them. We got the one with the aid that is over the ear. However, my wife's had a lot of problems with hers. She got a lot of wax in her ears and she’s got a weird shaped ear so fitting the piece in her ear has been difficult. She even says that sometimes, it bothers her. I considered sending her hearing aid back and getting somewhere we could go in and have that addressed but so far, we’ve managed to do it on our own so we just stuck with it. It may be not as good as having some help but overall, I’m pretty happy compared to the price difference.
