We've been lied to, spoken to very nastily, witnessed a manager tell us we could return our damaged items, then tell corporate she didn't say that. On our contract a manager wrote in and signed that if our stuff wasn't delivered on time we could cancel our order without any restocking fee. A different manager lied to corporate and said she has nothing saying that. We've lost multiple days from work at a brand new job trying to get furniture that isn't damaged. They damaged my house, which still isn't repaired. Called me day of a delivery to cancel because they didn't have the item, then call me an hour and a half later to tell me they're coming so we end up going to work and having to leave. All I want to do is walk away from Ashley and have them take their damaged items back and credit my account. This has been nothing but a nightmare.

Expensive, low quality furniture, that seems to always be delivered late. First sign on its poor quality was when screws started coming loose on all dining chairs. Bed boards whose finish started peeling within a month of delivery; a box spring delivered with a hole that was never fixed. Delivery folks nearly ripped some pieces trying to force them through a door too small. Their furniture is delivered to them in pieces, IKEA style, and put together at the local warehouse. Mine still had all the numbering labels on them. Bottom line, a ripoff. First and last time I do business with them.

A little over two years ago I bought a living room set, including a TV. I spent just under $4000.00. Within six months I had to have them come out because one of the legs broke off the couch. Soon after I noticed my $450.00 coffee table was chipping and scratches everywhere. The springs were also poking through my chair, which hardly ever gets used. The guy comes back out here and puts a patch on the chair, needless to say that lasted only a short time before the springs started coming through again. I then mentioned how it's been under a year and the cushions are already sinking in. Apparently that's not covered under their expensive warranty.
The TV is still working but if you want to watch a movie or Netflix you have to have the volume all the way up and sometimes you still can't hear your show well. My furniture... ALL 7 pieces are COMPLETE JUNK!!!! I just went out and bought a whole new furniture set with another company. They even sell Ashley and the lady told me to stay clear of buying Ashley because the quality is bad. She didn't even know my experience. This crap is going to the curb with a big FREE sign on it!!!!

On Feb. 9th my sister drove to Concord NC from Virginia Beach for one specific reason to purchase new furniture for us as a Christmas gift. She was planning to come sooner but I was too ill to have company. The reason she was buying the furniture is our medical issues no longer allow us to sit on normal sofas and chairs or sleep in a normal flat bed due to serious life-threatening medical conditions and medical equipment we need to use.
We researched many different stores in the area products and picked 3 stores to visit with the style numbers, cost, sale price, and photos of the furniture stored in our phones and iPads. It is very difficult for me to shop and walk through these big stores causing me to be in pain with a back fracture from osteoporosis. I was dizzy and winded. We chose a reclining chair and reclining sofa from your store. We also looked at a cabinet and coffee and end tables that the breathing machines, BiPAP machine and oxygen could be stored in but at that point wanted to research that further. Your store was NOT THE CHEAPEST, and the color was a little of what we needed but to be supportive of our medical issues we felt it was the most stable. Our second choice was Rooms to Go. They were giving a free flat screen and we would have had the furniture in days.
On February 13th the furniture was purchased, invoice number ** paid for in full debit card, plus $129.99 delivery fee. We asked for next week delivery. They said it would be March 5th delivery date UNLESS WE WANTED TO GO PICK IT UP OURSELVES indicating it was available. We told the person at the desk in the store and the sales person that the furniture was being purchased because of medical need and we were trying to make the appropriate changes necessary as soon as possible.
Another disappointing issue at your store is the sales person tried not to give us the sale price, she started to write it up at full price. I said what price we had from our research. She said "oh the Internet price is different than in the store." Also we were under the impression from the advertisements for Presidents Day there was additional percentage off but she said NO we got the Internet advertised price so would be no Presidents Day Sale price. Our sales person did not wait on us at all. We went through the whole store, sat in DOZENS of chairs and sofas we had to find because we had researched the styles of reclining furniture and they are scattered throughout the whole store. We sat in the furniture we decided to purchase for about a half an hour before we had to get her to come over to us to write up the sale.
So we altered the color of the living room wall's paint and new floors slightly to accommodate the color difference of the furniture we picked from your store. They came and did the floors and painted, took out the 3 year old furniture that we can no longer sit in because of medical issues. Since February 18th we have had to sit in a travel wheelchair and a decorative chair, both of which are very uncomfortable especially with our medical conditions especially with a back fracture from osteo.
March 5th we had everything else moved out of the living room and off the porch in preparation for the delivery. No furniture came. No call, nothing so we called them and was told delivery was changed to March 11th which I had a Dr. appointment schedule that day. I changed otherwise it would be another week! March 10th got a call no furniture. They said the sofa was not in from the manufacturer, rescheduled now for March 18th.
I called customer service, spoke with a girl, told her the problem we were having and her first reaction was "I will be happy to cancel your order"??? I told her we have been living, sitting in a wheelchair for weeks. My sister who bought us the furniture as a Christmas gift lives in Virginia Beach and starting over having to walk through stores again is not a option. She said we would be compensated for all our trouble and she was sending a email stating my concerns and that we would be compensated. NEVER GOT A EMAIL! She also said whoever told us we could pick up the furniture ourselves lied at the store and all furniture is made to order as purchased. Not what is says on the pamphlet and not what was told to us at the store they said it was available!
First the $129.99 my sister paid for this delivery needs to be refunded. Secondly I think that the end tables and cabinet we looked at to keep the breathing machines, bipap and oxygen in should be a gift after all the suffering and very poor service. What is really sad is my sister also picked out a new recliner and a dining room set while she was there and said she would order it at the Virginia Beach store near her home so you have lost another sale!

My husband and I went into Ashley for new furniture on 2/19/16 and ended up purchasing both a loveseat and a couch and the only expectation that was set for us was 2-6 weeks. I understand these things take time and that order times change. I really do. However, it's not my job, as the customer, to know the manufactures schedules or that they chose to move a date back or forward but according to the manager of this location it was. I called the first time about 2 weeks or so, on a Friday, after I paid them a considerable amount of money and was told that the pieces would be there by the end of the following week. Fine. I can deal with that. I gave away my own couch so that we would definitely be ready for the delivery when it came. I have 2 small children so going without a couch for a week... well it was hectic.
By the end of the following week, I called again to get an update and I was at lunch from work so I asked to be called back at MY phone # as soon as was possible. I never got a callback. Instead, they called my husband and told him what was going on. This was last week. They then told my husband that we would have the loveseat today 3/15/16 and the couch on March 23rd. At this point, I was frustrated but at least we had a date. So, I called today to see what time the loveseat would be delivered and I was informed that it's not supposed to be delivered to them until tomorrow and the couch would get there March 27th and we would get it the week after. I spoke to the manager, who was rude and showed no empathy to my situation, and he said he will check with the warehouse to see what can be done.
If I had never called I wouldn't know anything. He told me he would call me back and again I asked to be called on MY phone # again and this manager repeated it back to me 2 times and still I didn't get a callback. They once again called my husband. I just don't get it. Right now all we know is that the loveseat should be delivered Friday morning.
I don't feel that this company cares about anything but themselves. How can you justify acting this way? I personally work in customer service and the most important thing is to set an expectation. Yes, Ashley Furniture, you did set a 2-6 week expectation in the very beginning. However, you told us the furniture would be delivered in 2-3 weeks or up to 6 weeks if the furniture was damaged. Never in my life have I ever had to endure such nonsense from a business. All I have to say at this moment is that word of mouth is a powerful thing and so is social media and I am fully aware of how to use it.

We bought a living room set the end of Dec. 2015. After 2 days our end tables that are supposed to open up, got stuck in the up position. I called for repair 4 times. Finally someone came 3/1/2016. I was told he needed parts so he had to come back. I just received a call 2 weeks later that they are sending parts to me and I need to call back when I get them so they can schedule another appointment. I was told could take another few weeks for repair. I will never purchase from them again!!!

Just about 3 years ago my family remodeled our home and furnished it with Ashley Furniture. We bought a three piece sectional (with a chaise lounger), a side table and lamps, and a 10 person dining room table and 8 chairs. We thought we were buying quality furniture that would last and grow with our family. We spent a lot of money. Unfortunately, we were wrong. After just a year our couch was ruined. All the cushions were sunken in and the lining/piping were misaligned and just ugly. The actual fabric on cushions were creating little 'balls' of fabric. After just a year, we had to purchase a new couch from Macy's. The Ashley Furniture couch is now our 'basement' couch and never used. The only thing Ashley Furniture would do is send me a new chaise cushion (mind you, the other cushions don't come off). It's been two years since we've had our couch from Macy's and it still looks like new.
We are now in the market for a new dining room table. Just after 3 years, the finish is coming off, there is a broken leg, and the chairs constantly have to be tightened. The first time we tightened one of the legs on table, it stripped. Buttons on the chairs keep coming off. Warning... If you are thinking about buying anything from Ashley Furniture, please think twice. Their products are not high quality and you will end up spending more money in just a few years!

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! If you go there you will regret it! Worst experience I have ever had with any store in my life. Bought furniture back in January that was on back order and agreed to wait until February to get it. It took them two months!! I just received my furniture. Also you cannot cancel your order or return anything. Not to mention that their furniture is low material made. Some of their furniture are used, I bought a rug with the furniture and it was used and had some stains. I didn't find that until I got home and they refused to exchange it even if I bought it on the same day. Not to mention that you will never ever be able to cancel the order. Not to mention that I found bugs in their furniture, are so rude and they scam people to buy from them, and you will get your furniture until you are so desperate!! If I could give 0 stars to this place, I would totally do that and I will now file a complaint to consumer affairs!

I bought a dining table and buffet. I only had a few months and the table and buffet's varnish was peeling and scratching very badly. I called. They came and got furniture to repair. I waited and waited. Called to ask where my furniture was. Oh somehow it got put in the corner and forgot about. Got furniture finally back. Only a few months later same problem. I call. They come out, take pictures. Wait 2, was no call. I go up there to only find out they haven't looked at them. They say can't see pictures so another person has to come out and look. So now 3 days still no answer. I bought this set at Paris, TX store. I will not ever buy from them again. Very sorry customer relations. All they want to is lie, lie, lie and take your money, and furniture quality is sooo poor...worse than poor. Please don't shop there!!!

We went to Ashley store in Fredericksburg and looked a twin bed and agree on the price of $1100. After they run our credit the sales person comeback and gave us different price ($1450). So we left the store. In our way we check the website and found out that the price online was only $ 1000. So we contact them and we told them the price online. They told us that they're going to honor the online price. Now after I pick up the bed. We still waiting for the missing part... Call hundred of times with no clear answer. Never again Ashley. By the way the manager I talked to his name is Eddie **. Just saying buyers be aware of this mafia.

Thinking about ordering furniture from ASHLEY'S, DON'T!!! Terrible Company to order furniture from! Would highly recommend using a different company other than Ashley's. I walked into a store in Texas on FEB. 2, 2016 and ordered a single chair and a few other smaller items and was told I would receive the chair in 2-3 weeks. It's been a month now and have not got update or a single phone call on an update of my order. I have had to make every call and ask for updates and according to our oh so great representatives I will have to wait TWO more months. Thanks for the update that the item was on backorder when I ordered it.
I tried asking for a refund and now i have to pay a restocking fee even though the chair has not even been made yet or shipped or anywhere near Texas (BS!!). I understand that items are on backorder but thanks for keeping me informed at least a single heads up on the progress of my order. But it's really stupid most of their stores don't have warehouses so you have to pay for delivery. Terrible customer service too. I was lied to about about delivery dates and then I get treated like crap when I want a refund cause magically my item is on backorder. It was not on backorder when I ordered it or I wouldn't have ordered it. Thinking about ordering furniture from ASHLEY'S, DO NOT DO IT.

We purchased a sofa, chair and ottoman electric recliner, executive desk and matching chair. We waited a week for delivery and when it did come the sofa wasn't on the truck and the chair wasn't the color we ordered. Had to argue with the delivery guys to put it back on the truck because that isn't what we ordered. I called the store cancelled the sofa, chair and ottoman as they said it would be at least a month before they could have it to us. This would take us over Christmas with company coming over the holiday.
So we went and bought another living room set off an independent store here in Mt Vernon and it was delivered the same day and was right. BUT we were sucked into their 5-year insurance policy to cover the recliner, desk and chair. Fourteen months down the road the top of the chair broke away from the bottom, not at any pre-joining spot and it tilted to left quite a bit.
So today I called customer service with (5 year) policy in hand and explained what was wrong with the chair and where I take it to have it fixed. The woman on the other end told me that the chair was only covered for a year and that I could purchase another one to match the desk if I wanted to. Needless to say I explained to her what she could do with their insurance policy and it isn't where the sun shines. We will never purchase anything from Ashley's again and would discourage anyone else from doing so as well.

I hope this review keeps someone from making the same mistake I did. I purchased from Ashley Furniture (the Olympia, Washington location) 5 MONTHS ago and I have yet to receive my refund. I purchased one thing (which comes with an all-too-long process of filling out forms) and I was told it would ship out in 3-5 business days. I was somewhat surprised that they had to ship it vs. having such a small item in stock but I walked away overall happy.
Fast forward 2 weeks, I go in and ask about my order, I had been told that a shipping code would be emailed to me and I had yet to hear anything. The gal at the desk said it could take 7-10 days to ship, after I mentioned it had already been two week she revised her number to 3-4 weeks. "Come back in after four weeks, if it hasn't shipped!" she says.
Four weeks pass and I go back, same routine. They don't know what is happening and there is nothing they can do because it is in the distributors hands now. And the dates have changed. It can now take 4-8 weeks to ship an order. "And" they kindly informed me "We placed the order 5 days after your purchase, so you will also need to keep that in mind for the time frame." Eight weeks after I purchased a simple comforter set, I return. Finally the sales associate does something and emails the distributor. And I am promised a phone call the following day, by 8 pm to let me know if anything has or hasn't happened. Oh, how hopeful and naive I was. No phone call and a few days pass.
Again I return to the store (Trip #4, for those keeping count at home) and am met with "You do know, it can take 2-3 weeks for some orders to ship?" After gently encouraging her to look at the date of purchase (some 8 weeks ago), she lets me know there is nothing she can do. I ask to see her manager. And she let me know the store would be without a manager for another 3 hours, but she would let him know about it as soon as he got there! I left without answers, again. I returned four hours later and asked to see the manager (the same one who was supposed to handle my purchase problems) and was told he was on lunch break... After supposedly being on shift for an hour? But he was working on the issue and would call me as soon as he got back!
After being lied to about them calling me (which I mentioned, as well as my distrust of their phone use capabilities), I demanded my name and number be taken down on paper with a note to call me tonight. They promised up and down that they would call me by 8 pm that same day. Lo and behold 8 pm came and went without a phone call. I emailed Ashley Furniture's corporate headquarters and am told sorry, not sorry. There is nothing they can do, as this is a franchise. After 5 months, involving the BBB and the Attorney General's office, I finally have some answers (but no refund yet!).
No one from the store ever called me (after being promised update calls more than 4 times). On the 12th visit (10 weeks later) to the store they finally conceding that the item I purchased was discontinued, it was not and never will be shipped to me. But it is STILL on their sales floor, available for purchase! One of their associates 'Ash', sidled his way up to me and asked if he knew me from somewhere. I told him no. And he went away and came back with his personal phone number on a card, asked me if I believed in God and said that God would bring us together again. DISGUSTING behavior, Ashley is okay with their staff hitting on customers?
They offered me (after 10 weeks) a refund, minus a 're-stocking fee'. Or the floor model, IF I signed a contract for no returns, refunds or exchanges and accept any damage to the item (with a whooping 5% off for my hassle!). I requested a refund (finally talking them into subtracting the 'restocking fee'), which they informed me would come in the mail in 2-3 weeks (ha!). Two-three weeks came and went with no refund. The BBB (who has been dealing the corporate Ashley Furniture) contacted me, asking if I would like to close my complaint, to which I responded 'No, not until I have my refund'.
Then I received a call from one of their employees at corporate Ashley's. She left a message that they had received my rejection through the BBB and they had NO record of my refund. So no refund was pending. I called her back immediately (literally 2 minutes after she left a voicemail). She left me the phone number for the entire Ashley chain (with options like 'for payroll press 3' and 'for H&R press 7') but no extension number so I was bounced around and put on hold as they try and figure out who called me. They finally found the person who called and conveniently she already left work and was the only person able to handle my issue. So I left a message and was told she will call me back. No phone call back (surprise!).
She did contact me through the BBB (again, no phone call!) and let me know they had found my refund (finally!) and would forward it to accounting and it may be a few week. I have called her numerous times to try and talk with her but no return calls. Almost 5 months, lies, broken promises and terrible customer service and they are STILL holding my money hostage! On top of a total lack of communication, they act like I am massively inconveniencing them. I wish I had read even some of the reviews prior to purchasing from them.

Since 1 Dec (2015) we have been waiting on our new couch to be repaired. We FINALLY got through to customer service in Fredericksburg, VA. Got an appointment then prior to the appointment there was a "serious illness" so there would be a delay. Come January we FINALLY got through again for a reschedule. The gentleman showed up, saw the problem ordered the part (when I asked about the "serious illness" he of course didn't know how sick he'd been). Two weeks later a package came and we called to set up an appointment. Finally got the gentleman back out to find it was the wrong part. New part ordered. Package came in yesterday - yep - wrong part! Of course can't get through to anyone on the phone. This is junk furniture at a pretty premium price. Nice showroom, which I guess threw us. Never again. Dismal cheap junk and horrid, HORRID customer service. The repair fellow has been quite nice.

Absolutely brutal customer service. Never again will I purchase anything here! The salespeople will tell you anything and lie to you to get you to make the purchase and once they have your money they couldn't care less about your experience with them. First of all, it took us 6 months to get our furniture (we purchased a dining set, a sectional and a chaise) when it should have taken a couple of weeks... Every time we talked to someone in customer service they had no answers for us. Then one of the pieces came damaged after all that time so they had to repair it. When we escalated our frustrations with the process to a manager in customer service they wouldn't do anything at all for us. Didn't even bother act like they cared.
Now two years later, the leather on our chaise lounge is cracking and peeling off terribly (this was something we were worried about but the salesperson said that this would never happen and sold us an extra warranty to cover it if it did). We are still within the warranty period but now I'm told that this isn't actually covered in the warranty like the salesperson said (again customer service doesn't care). We also bought the warranty because he said after the time period is up we get the money back as store credit. He didn't mention that it's a minimum $1000 purchase that it can be used against. Another loss because I will NEVER spend another dime with this company again. Save yourself a headache and shop elsewhere.

Rep assured me that their products is well made and all that stuff they feed you and I understand that's a salesperson but then the rep proceed to tell me about the GREAT INSURANCE they had and all it would cover, and if they could not fix it they would replace it and reassured me it would cover all thing from manufacturing to accidental damage with no problems. All you have to do is call them and make your claim rep stress this over and over again so I was like made I should and did wrong move #2.
It was wrong move #2 because I should have never purchased my furniture from Ashley. Very poor and cheap quality. It did not hold up for even 6 month. Rails split, draws rails snap and so much more and this was their solid wood furniture!!! Now mistake #2 insurance. Everything the sales rep said lies. It took them forever to get someone out to my house. Cancel appointments after they scheduled with like 1 day notice or if I remember it may have been the same day they should have been there.
After trying to schedule it a few times then they come in for like 10 mins, take pic, no talking how things happen, no adjuster called for an explanation, assumed what happen and denied my claim. "Insurance company suck" and nothing Ashley Furniture said was true and I will never buy another thing from them ever. Purchase insurance again it just a racket to take extra money from people. Don't buy from Ashley Furniture and much less do not purchase the insurance. It not what they say!!!

We bought over $10,000.00 in furniture for our new home, we would probably have better service and quality by going to a Goodwill shop. On Feb 14, 2016, we purchase a bedroom set, a 4 piece entertainment center, a leather sofa and love seat recliners. It is now March 1st and we still have not received our complete order due to damage furniture being delivered and returned. One of the piers on the entertainment center was missing a light socket, the hardware was missing and the tv stand was scratch. We pay an extra $130.00 for premium delivery which we did not received as the delivery people did not assemble our furniture and they did not deliver all parts for us to even do it. We also paid an extra $100.00 for power reclining and again the delivery people did not bring cables so we can't use the recliners as such.
We have yet another attempt to deliver a new couch (3rd time trying to get one that is not damaged) and instead of bringing the cables for the sofa they are mailing them to us and it will take up to three weeks. Mind you we are an hour away from their warehouse. Customer service is a joke, we have to send pictures every time, they claim they don't have them even though we have a confirmation print out. We won't receive the tv stand until after March 17. The delivery people can't barely pick up the furniture so they keep damaging it, they are supposed to inspect at the warehouse per the premium delivery but they don't, is all junk.
I wish I had research them a little better, we would have not bought anything from them. I wish I had seen these reviews earlier. Every single one I read is pretty close to our experience. We have been unable to get the company to put anything in writing they are telling us on the phone and then they do not do what they have told us they would. We have emailed the board of directors and received a response that they will not credit us or take back furniture. They require we take another delivery. Further the person representing himself as a board of director said that the owner of the store viewed the furniture and that we should accept it because they have a disclaimer in the store that says it won't be perfect and that the condition it has been delivered in is acceptable. We were never told the furniture would be in less than perfect condition when we purchased it. We would not have purchased the furniture if we had been told we would be getting damaged furniture.

I purchased a sectional in Feb of 2014 with a 5-yr Platinum Protection Plan! It is a little over 2 yrs and my son went to sit on the couch and the pillow separated from the couch itself causing a rip. Also the couches springs are broken in the seat and there is also another rip from when my sons friend accidentally tripped over the corner causing a small tear! Not one of these things will they repair! Mind you the salesman that sold me this told me that EVERYTHING was covered except for anything caused by animals! It's all a load of crap! Called CS and they said they would order the hardware and it should arrive in 7-10 business days. When the time period expired I called and was told the hardware wouldn't be shipped until Feb. 14th, all this time my husband and I were sleeping on our box springs and mattress on the floor. We gave up on ever receiving the necessary hardware and sourced it ourselves. After three trips to the hardware store and put the thing together ourselves, and added extra supports and support feet under the slats; the support slats supplied looked sad and flimsy. Here it is the 22nd of Feb. and still no hardware. Never again will I buy anything from Ashley furniture.

Bought 2 set of Full beds with frame - 4 months ago. One of the two mattresses is lose (Depression) from the center. Called Ashley immediately on the 2nd day and scheduled for tech visit. The technician came and did measurement which clearly showed a sagging of more than 2". The guy told me I should be getting a call from Macy's- I don't know why Macy's but I waited for the call which never came.
When I called back to the customer care they said I'll not get a call if the sagging is not beyond the specified limit. Looks like technician did not pass on the correct information. My 11 yr old daughter who is using this bed complains that she can't sleep properly and that she keeps rolling to the center. I called back again a week ago and scheduled for technical inspection again today. I was told that I will get a call a day before my appointment about the window of appointment.
I never got a call until today. I came to work and when I called customer care, I am told that window is 11AM - 1PM. I told them I can't be there at that time. It has to be in the afternoon now as I am at work. The lady very casually says "It will have to be rescheduled for next Wednesday." These people are so insensitive that do not have any understanding of the problem we are facing. I firmly believe that Ashley Furniture cheated on me by purposely giving us one bad mattress. I called to cancel the missing piece and see about returning the corner. I was repeatedly routed to different people or told I would get a callback. 5 days later I could not get help. When I let them know I would just be returning the piece to the store I received a callback. WOULD NOT ALLOW ANY RETURN OF ANY KIND or offer a store credit or any kind of solution. The only solution they would offer is to deliver the addition piece. At that point there was no way I would spend another dime. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I purchased a $3,000.00 bedroom set from Ashley Furniture in Louisville, KY on Jan. 9th, 2016. It was delivered on Jan 11, 2016. One nightstand not delivered. It was broken in warehouse. The delivery guys knocked a hole in my wall, broke a nice candle on trying to get it down the hall in which they had plenty of room. Nothing said to them about it. When they set it up they couldn't get the drawers to line up with the footboard of the bed so they said they would have to bring a new one back when they brought the end table. We said OK. After they left, my husband noticed that the footboard was also cracked, and the glue was stuck thick in the headboard of the bed in the seams and the wood was chipped and peeling.
We immediately called the service number and spoke to a guy who said he would order a new one and it would arrive with the footboard and night stand. They delivered it on Jan. 14th. And my husband inspected it while still on the truck. Nightstand OK. It was brought in. The footboard and headboard was worse than the original one in the house. It had more glue and more chips than the first one that I still have in the house. My husband said no to the delivery. Then we get a call from a customer service rep a few days later with a delivery time and she was very rude to us when we told her we needed delivery in the evening. She basically said to us that we had have someone here who could accept this furniture because they weren't going to accommodate us any longer. We told her no and that she would fulfill our satisfaction or we were going to hire a lawyer.
She was very nasty and said she would have someone call us and hung up. We got a call on Feb. 4th and said they could deliver at 5PM. When they got here again my husband checked the truck and inspected the furniture again and absolutely could not believe it. Even the delivery guys couldn't believe it. They even took pictures. The headboard's post was completely broken off at the top and chipped all over. It was awful. More glue spread on the cracks holding it together. This is a nightmare and if you call customer service you talk to a bunch of stupid people that refuse to try to help you. I am scheduled for the 4th delivery this Thursday, Feb. 12th, 2016. Purchased a king bed frame, headboard, footboard, etc. from Ashley Furniture in Fargo, ND. Walked the showroom with the salesperson while they showed me every option. Told the salesperson that I wanted one I looked at on the floor because I wanted the storage option (pullout drawers on both sides, exactly like the floor model). I asked the salesperson how much that would be in a king size. They left to check the price and returned to say it would be $634. I said great, let's ring it up. A week later when it arrived, I drove 25 miles to pick it up, brought it back home, carried it all in the house, removed the king size bed from our bedroom to begin assembling the frame. Opened it up and realize it's a scaled down version with just regular side rails, no storage. I called the salesperson and politely explained I didn't receive what I had ordered.
The salesperson immediately admitted fault and then said "well, we can get you what you ordered, but it'll be another $260." I explained again politely that I didn't believe I should have to pay additional money for something I was told I was receiving for the original price because I would've never purchased the frame in the first place had I known it would be $1,000. The salesperson agreed and told me the manager would call me back in about 10 minutes with a solution. 2 hours later the salesperson calls back and says they will offer it for $130. At this point it's not about money, it's about proper business practice. I again asked to speak with the manager. The salesperson said "the manager is outside, he'll call you back in 5 minutes." Over an hour later, I called back to the store again after hearing nothing and asked to speak with a manager.
Finally, I get in contact with one and ask how they think it should be an acceptable solution to pay $130 for their mistake. The manager replies "it was an honest mistake". Agreed. I work in a commercial electrical field. If I go into a building and completely botch the install from what the customer asked for, I can't say yeah, I know it was all my mistake, but in order to do everything the way you wanted originally, I'm going to have to charge you more fees again. So this is after I've waited a week, driven 50 miles to bring it home, haul it in, got the runaround for another 6 hours, and even though the store will admit 100% fault, they still will not solve the issue in a professional manner. Admit you screwed up, own it, make sure your salespeople are properly trained and educated on the pricing, and try to prevent it from happening in the future. That's what all good business people do.
People make mistakes, very easy to do and I have no anger at all towards the salesperson, but easily made mistakes should be corrected easily by management. Not only do I think this is morally wrong in every way what they're doing, I also believe it is illegal. Just a friendly warning to people who have not shopped at this store, Slumberland, Furniture for Less, Unclaimed Freight Furniture, HOM, Zimmerman's. These stores all seem to have much better customer service and value the business of their customers. I guess I'm pretty old school. I remember when customer service was a priority for businesses in this country. Now there are a lot of young, inexperienced managers that are calling the shots and they don't get it. They only concern themselves with their salary, their commission, their time schedule. I made the mistake of giving this store a chance, a mistake that I will never repeat.

We received the furniture today and I verified to the delivery people that it looked fine (meaning no damages or defects) then literally 20 minutes later we realized that one of the pieces really just doesn't fit in our apartment. So we called the store back to see how we could return it and were told about the policy that all sales are final. I notified the individual that we were not told this in the store and she told me to check the receipt. I checked the receipt and on the printed credit card receipt (so the receipt that prints out AFTER the card is swiped) it says in small letters that there are no returns.
My husband called and spoke to a supervisor and was told that there is nothing we can do, we are stuck with this furniture that we do not like and that does not fit in our apartment. This is just incredibly unethical. My experience with Ashley Furniture went downhill from the day of delivery. The furniture was improperly assembled, loose, missing parts or damaged. The items that were purchase, a bedroom set, dining set and living room set. The dining set came with six chairs. All the cushions on the chairs had to be replace. The cushions had no support, you would sink when you sat down. Some of the chair frames had to be replaced because of dry rot or the legs were not level to the floor. To this day the chairs still come loose. For the living room set, all cushions from the loveseat and sofa and pillows were replaced, no support/firmness and the smell of mildew. The legs on the loveseat and chair came loose. Because they were drill in with sheetrock screws and not socket screws. The chair and sofa have pre-made holes For socket screws. For the bedroom set, about half of the drawers from the night stand to the dresses had to be replace.
The drawers were warp and or dry rotted. Because of the dry rot, I saw that the drawer were made of cardboard covered with wood. The tracks that the dresser glided on were dry rotted. And finally the dresser mirror. When assembled by the delivery crew, the wrong screws were used. The screw used was longer than the frame, which caused the wooden frame of the mirror to crack and splinter. This process of replacing parts, took almost a year to complete. But, after assembling the table a few weeks after receiving it and pulling out the sides to use the leaf, there were 2 pieces broken away from the leaf. It does not roll in and out as it should. We managed to manually manipulate the leaf into place, but cannot easily fold it in and out as it was designed to work.
The seller contacted the manufacturer, and it has now been over 3 months. The manufacturer is not honoring their 1 year warranty of the product being free from defects. I am constantly emailing the seller, who in turn is trying to get this issue resolved with the manufacturer, but is not getting a response. This is a major defect and I specifically felt comfortable ordering from a famous name, Ashley Furniture. I am so unhappy about this. I thought I was saving money by ordering online, but it would probably have been better to pay more through a nearby furniture store. Maybe they would have been able to resolve this issue. I ordered the matching chairs from another online seller, and one of the chairs also arrived damaged. That company is having the same issues getting the manufacturer to respond and honor the warranty. I will NEVER purchase Ashley Furniture again!! Don't be fooled by the famous name. They are a horrible company to deal with.

There is a special place in h*** for the likes of Ashley furniture. I am a maintainer on multi million dollar pieces of equipment called aircraft and if I were as complacent as the individuals who pre-assembled this bed frame I would either be in jail or fired for my lack of effort. Not only was the bed frame that delivered to me missing 2 pieces but they installed the wrong hardware making it impossible to complete the assembly. I.E. the bed frame has drawers... They installed 3 right metal gliders and one left. As well as the hooks for the rails upside down... Who the heck do they hire for this?

The length of the tear is about 2 inches. I bought warranty, I called Guardian. After describing the problem, I was informed that if is not accidental tear, Guardian cannot cover it. Basically, they told me, If one my kids took a fork and made a hole on the chair, they would cover it. Since I cannot say how the tear happened, they would chalk it up as wear and tear and not cover it. It almost sounded like they would have found any excuse to deny claim. Very shady practice at best.

That week came and I called them because I had heard nothing, Wednesday (1/6/16) and was told "Oh I was just about to call you" and that the base wouldn't be delivered until the following Tuesday and would then be delivered. I called again today (1/12/16) because yet again I heard nothing. I was told this time "Oh I was gonna call you in like 5 minutes. The base came in last Sunday. I'll call you back in 5 minutes. I want to talk to my manager to see if we can get it out faster than this Friday." An hour later I finally received a callback telling me the trucks were full and delivery was not an option till Friday but, I would receive a $100 gift card to the store because of the inconvenience.

I bought a loveseat and a couch about 2 months ago and I had to wait 1 month before product was available, which is not a problem. However when they delivered, I kept the love seat and returned the couch due to the wood frame being delivered cracked, and this happened again on the second delivery. Then on the 3rd time the wood frame was in good condition but the cushion part where you rest your back was not sewn correctly, so I returned it again, then someone called me back from Ashley furniture and told me that their delivery team refuses to deliver to my house again. I can either get a refund or pick up the merchandise myself.
Now you tell me what kind of customer service is this? I took time off from work so I could accommodate their time. Not only my time was wasted but I also spoke with managers at ashley that I didn't feel they cared, at all. No one is doing anything to help still to this day and that is very much upsetting. I spend about $4000, and this is what I get in return, no couch and a headache.

As I wasn't using it regularly at first and it didn't pop out all the time I let it go. But now this is my daily desk and the mechanism is much worse and I had to swap it out with a dining chair before I broke my neck, because nearly every time I go to lean back it pops out and I do or nearly do fall to the ground. I contacted the warranty department and they said it was past one year. But the tag indicated to me the reclining mechanism was warrantied for 5 years. They claim this is only for RECLINERs and not the office chair's reclining mechanism. So I am out of luck. To those who consider the purchase of a desk chair from this chain of shops be very aware. I am shocked that they are putting dollars above customer safety.

After calling the store several times with no response, We were then informed by the saleswomen after finally tracking her down, that the furniture will now take an additional 2 weeks. We are having the same, HORRIBLE, problem with our peeling "bonded leather" furniture, after being promised by the no-longer-there-saleswoman that the warranty covered "everything". Every time we call the warranty company, they switch the reason WHY it's not a covered item. Heck, the same saleswoman told us it even covered animal claws, which we now know is a complete LIE!
I called AF customer service yesterday and the girl admitted there WAS a recall of the Durablend some years back and perhaps THAT'S why we have HUGE areas of missing color. The person I need to call is "Diane", who won't be in until tomorrow. She said we will probably need to take pictures of the damage AND the tags under the furniture for proof. No problem.
"Diane" will be told, in no uncertain terms, that if Ashley DOESN'T do SOMETHING to rectify this problem, we will be loading up the love-seat in the back of our big, red pick up, along with HUGE signs stating the CRAPPY furniture and customer service Ashley Furniture has, and drive around the Tri-Cities area of VA/TN for months, and hopefully get the local news involved. If THAT doesn't work, then we will drop all of their ** furniture at the front door one night, along with more signs, take photos and hopefully get press coverage of THAT too!
We spent over $2000 on this crap and I had previously stated I would NEVER buy from Ashley, based solely on their cheap, ugly orange/blue/yellow logo. It REEKS of cheapness and tackiness. I have never been to an Ashley furniture store. When a new store opened near the Tacoma Mall, I wanted to check it out and had planned to until today. In the past year another store (Chick-fil-A) was built and opened next door to them. The Chick-fil-A location unfortunately has a small parking lot. I really wanted to eat there today, but they were so busy that the only parking spaces available were located at the outer areas of the Ashley store. I drove toward the far end, away from the signs that said 'Ashley Furniture parking only,' and found a space with no sign.
As soon as I had parked, a Chick-fil-A employee came over to let me know that Ashley was being aggressive with towing people. He said Ashley had a lot more signs on order. I looked around at the almost empty parking lot in front of the Ashley store and wondered why Ashley could not work with their neighbor. I think this is being a bad neighbor and Ashley is being totally ridiculous in this situation. They are your neighbor! Why can't you work together? What is wrong with loaning them a few spaces? I will never know what kind of furniture you carry, or what kind of deals you have, because I will not spend one ounce of strength to find out. After today I will not set foot in an Ashley store anywhere. I will, however, find other ways to get to Chick-fil-A. No help from you needed.

Their only offer was if we bought a new loveseat they would give us 25% off.
We went to a competitor to purchase a new loveseat and attempted to donate the Ashley piece to Habitat for Humanity. What a statement it made about this product when Habitat refused to take the loveseat, which was then only two years old, because it wasn't even in good enough condition for a donation. Delivery of 3 pieces scheduled 12/18 and other 1 piece 12/22. Items were rescheduled for 2 items 12/18 and 2 on 12/22. 2 items were delivered on 12/18 in the wrong color. I refused the items and an exchange was processed. I was told due to the change in color 2 items would be delivered 12/23 and 1 on 1/18. I don't know where the 3rd item went. Also, the delivery drivers drug mud through my brand new home even after repeated attempts to ask them to stop walking through my yard because it had just rained.
On 12/22 I got a call and a text confirming delivery of two of my pieces on 12/23. Then I got a call an hour later saying those would be delayed AGAIN to 12/26. I decided I was sick of getting the runaround so I went into the store on 12/23 to cancel my order. The sales rep (Jim **) and supposed sales manager (Barbara **) treated me very unprofessionally. Jim claims he entered the wrong order because the picture looked gray. Then when I cancelled my order, I was very snottily informed that I would have to pay a 10% restocking/cancellation fee for items I never received nor had ever left the Ashley Warehouse. I was advised this is because of the two items that were delivered on 12/18 that were the wrong items due to the error on the part of the sales rep.
Both the sales rep and sales manager blamed me for the error which was incorrect. On 12/27 I e-mailed the store manager, Tobin **. I gave him a timeline of exactly what events took place. I stated in the e-mail that I would contact corporate if something wasn't done about this fee. The response I received involved no apology, no acknowledgement of the error made on the sales rep, absolutely no resolution at all. I was basically told "here go ahead and call corporate". I should have read the reviews on this location prior to shopping there, so if there was any error on my part that was it.
Tobin gave me the "corporate" number to call, but it's just a customer service line. The people were nice but there was nothing they could do to help me and no one would provide me with a direct e-mail or contact for Tobin's manager. The store manager is not the end all, be all in any retail establishment. Regardless of whether the fee could be refunded or not, I have the right to make someone at a higher level than him aware of the unprofessional level of service at this store. And how does a business get away with charging me $200 for items I never got?

The day of delivery comes and furniture was set up, everything looked great! The delivery man said that they sent the wrong pieces for our storage drawers on the footboard and that they would order new and someone would be out asap to put them together (that's fine not a problem). Weeks go by and I haven't heard anything. My husband called and spoke with someone from the store and they said that one of the draws was there at the store and one was on its way and we would get a call for a delivery day and time.
A couple more weeks go by and I hear nothing from anyone. I make a trip out to the store because at this point I'm getting aggravated, speak with a "manager" and they said they would take care of it and apologized for someone not getting back to me and he couldn't understand why nobody did. He said he would figure out what was going on and give me a call. Several weeks go by and again nothing. I make another call to the store and again apologies for nobody getting into contact with me, and he would figure out what was going on. He tells me that I will be getting a call from the warehouse. 5 minutes later I get a call stating that my drawers are there and have been there and he couldn't figure out why nobody contacted me to set up a delivery time. He sets up a delivery day and time and that Friday we had someone at our house with the drawers .
Just when I thinks it's over and I can enjoy my new bedroom furniture the drawers do not fit and now there is "something wrong with the footboard" is the reason the drawers don't fit. The delivery guys tells us that they will get a new footboard ordered and send someone out to change them out. I bet you can guess almost three weeks go by and I hear nothing. I am furious at this point!!! It is now December 28th 2015 and I make another trip out to the store and have a few choice words for the manager and tell him that if someone does not get this figured out that I want someone to come to my house and remove the furniture from my home so I can go somewhere else!! He assures me that he will get the problem taken care of and call me by the end of the day.
Two hours before the store is to close I still have not heard anything. Excuse after excuse and even though I am under warranty they will not cover. First it was that it was "natural variation" --- Really a natural variation shows up a few months into use? Then it was that it was staining because we tried to clean it. Really, it is not logical that someone would try to clean areas that are peeling and demyelinating! Then it was that we didnt let them know soon enough - yes we did but we had to keep fighting them with their ridiculous excuses and finally had to prove with a video that it is NOT staining - which incidentally shouldn't have mattered because stains were supposed to be covered!
Now the leather has been discontinued! Well if they would have ordered it months ago instead of giving us the run around, we probably would have been able to get it. Oh and yes discontinued fabric is NOT covered in the warranty - well then shouldn't I get a refund since my "5 year warranty" was useless for this last year! Very Rude staff in warranty dept - on hold for almost an hour every time I called, hung up on, didn't return my call. STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY - definitely NOT worth the hassle. We were told that they did not have the item in the warehouse and in fact it will be delivered 5 days later. On the scheduled date they brought a damaged stand. The drivers convinced us to accept the stand and someone will come and fix it quickly. They took pictures of the damage and sent them to Customer Service. We were called 2 days later for an appointment, but we were told that they are not flexible and had to accept the only spot available to them, otherwise another person will call and come. A few days later nobody called us so we had to call CS again. We were already frustrated and asked not only for fixing the damage but also for a compensation. We were promised a $75 gift certificate.
A few days later a person called us for an appointment, again with no flexibility. We wanted this ordeal to finish so we said "yes" to their terms. We set up a day but they were supposed to tell us the time a day before the appointment. Instead we got a call from CS and they informed us they can send someone on a different day. We wasted another day waiting for the person to come. He came, took another set of pictures, told us it cannot be fixed, and tried to persuade us to accept it as is. We refused and talked to CS again, who again tried to allure us with a $25 gift certificate and to accept it AS IS. We refused, reminding them we were promised a totally different incentive plus fixing the stand. They refused and they offered to replace the furniture instead and only a $25 gift certificate.
They pretend that all the furniture is inspected in the warehouse before they send the furniture out. That's a total lie. The damage was very visible and it was caused at the assembly time, not during the transportation. What they do is send out refused damaged furniture to clients, hoping someone will accept it for a $25 discount. Once you accept it it's their dirty play against you. DO NOT accept damaged furniture, DO NOT sign for delivery, DO NOT believe a word from what the drivers/delivery tell you! And the most important thing: DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY. Their CS is awful and if you ever need them to fix something under warranty, you will certainly regret it.

On October 15th, 2015, my husband and I went to our local Ashley Furniture and purchased $4200 in furniture. We purchased a leather sectional and sleeper sofa. We were told all pieces would be delivered by Thanksgiving. The contract I signed said 4-6 weeks, and that is all that REALLY matters at the end of the day. So as the 6 week mark came and went, which was Thanksgiving time, the promises began. The first week of December for sure. Nope. Second week. Nope.
By December the 8th, I became nervous. My first furniture payment was due on December 13th. I was not ABOUT to pay for furniture I had not yet received. I had financed the furniture through Synchrony bank via the Ashley store. I first called my local store. Alas, I could not reach a single person. I left a message letting them know I would not be making any payments until I had furniture and would like a callback. The next day I had not received a callback. No furniture status update, no payment instructions. I then called Synchrony bank. I tell them my dilemma. They seemed surprised I had not received my furniture yet. They offered me 3 options: they told me to either call the furniture store (already did that), file a payment dispute, or simply pay the bill (um, no).
Synchrony bank is able to somehow look up my order and tells me that my items are on back order! No one has told ME that!! I told Synchrony bank I would try again to call the furniture store. On December 10th, I called Ashley furniture. I left another message. Nothing. December 13th rolls around. A payment posts. I forgot I set up auto payments in my contract. Ugh. I called Synchrony bank to dispute the payment, as I have no furniture. I call my personal bank and explain the situation to them, as Ashley furniture billed with my debit card. They place a stop payment on the charge. I called Ashley again on December 13th to tell them I have placed a stop payment on the charges.
On December 20th, I get a call. My local store is closed on Sundays. On early Sunday mornings, someone makes bulk calls, maybe auto calls, telling people the status of their orders. I get a message saying my order is scheduled to "leave the warehouse" in another 2-3 weeks. They will let me know when my items have arrived, and I can call if I have any questions. Um, I HAVE called. No one calls me back.
On December 21st, I sent the Corporate Ashley Furniture office a "time is of the essence" letter. I want OUT of my contract. I am sure I can get out of it. I am WELL outside the 4-6 week time frame, and not ONCE has anyone offered me the option to cancel my order, which is what they are LEGALLY supposed to do. My biggest problem with this whole thing is the lack of communicating with me. If my furniture isn't ready, then be honest about it. It worries me when a company is THIS hard to get on the phone. I will say that I DID get an email back quite promptly from the corporate Ashley office asking for the local information yesterday. It is too soon to give feedback on that part of the story, but I must say that so far, if I had to give my opinion, it would be to RUN.

I purchased sectional in March 2014 to be delivered in June 2014. In Aug 2014 the material on the chaise and one of the chairs starting bunching up. Tech came out and said it was a manufacturer defect and they would stretch and it should be ok. After a couple more month it was really bad again. Feb 2015 called again. Now the tech ordered new foam and said that should take care of it. It did not arrive until May 2015, new appointment was scheduled for June 2015. When the tech arrived I had noticed the material was torn where it was stretched too tight. He said he would have to order new pad and top cover, he did not even put the pad on, that I had just received. Again, the pad and top cover did not arrive until the middle of July.
When I scheduled the tech to come install the new pad and cover on July 31, 2015, I also scheduled him to look at the armless recliner that the material was bunching the same as the chaise. He also looked at the armless chair and said it also needed replace the pad and top cover that it was doing the same as the others. He would order the armless recliner material and since I had not scheduled him to look at the armless chair, that I should call CS and let them know the same material needed to be ordered for this one. I did and they said ok.
As the material have not yet arrived, I just called the CS and they informed me nothing was ever ordered and our warranty was out in Aug, therefore if any materials needed to be replaced, it would be at my expense! As you can all see, the problem started within 2 months of us receiving the furniture. I am not sure where to turn to now or if I am to just keep my furniture as it is. It is paid for so unfortunately I have no recourse. Also we paid close to 500.00 for the extra coverage, and the lady I just spoke with said it is for accidental stuff! So that is of no use to me, definitely not what I was told I was buying. I will no longer buy from Ashley Furniture and hope this review will discourage you from purchasing anything from them also. Oh and the price of the furniture WITH the extra warranty was close to $3500.00. Not cheap furniture, but yes, cheaply made!
ALSO, when I have called the CS ph#, I have been on hold min of 45 min before anyone answers. AND they also had in the computer that after the very first time a tech came out to look at the furniture, the notation in the computer stated: NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR! I'm really sorry to tell them, but only 2 month of use does not qualify for normal wear and tear!

RUN DON'T WALK away from Ashley furniture. Their products are junk, junk, junk. My husband and I are in our late 50's. We have no children, yet we are on our 2nd leather couch in the last 2 years. Neither of them has held up. The cushions are sagging. We have had their "service" dept out here several times to restuff our couch. Now we are being told to go down to the local craft store and buy our own stuffing to fill our cushions up with. Thus is after their restuffing the couch numerous times. The service tech stated that we must put our feet up on the couch to make it sink! This couch was not the cheapest item in the store. We bought one of their higher grade leather products. What a joke,.our last leather couch lasted us 13 years and it didn't cost nearly as much. Now we are being told it's just normal wear. They couldn't fix the first couch, so we had to choose another one because they wouldn't give us our money back.

On September 20, 2015 I took delivery of a living room set. I was sold defective/poor quality furniture. The product I received was not the same as the product on display in their showroom. This is known as bait and switch. I called Ashley Furniture numerous times over the last 2 1/2 months and have been getting the runaround. I was told by an Ashley employee that there is an ongoing issue with the furniture I purchased. They told me they were going to take care of the problem. I notified them of the problem right after delivery. They said they were ordering new fill for the back pillows. No one ever called back and nothing was ordered.
Again I called and was told the same thing, they will order new fill and have a technician come to my house to fix the problem. There is no back support on the couch or love seat and you can not sit on them. The rear corners of the seats are caving in due to the poor quality and no support. No one ever called back and nothing was ordered. I called on November 26, 2015 I was told they are looking into taking the furniture back as the tags are still on them. I have not been able to sit in my living room to watch TV in 3 months. Of course I never heard back from them. On December 3, 2015 I filed a complaint with the BBB.
I received my first and only phone call from Ashley Furniture after the complaint was filed. Today December 22, 2015 Ashley Furniture sent an independent inspector to examine the furniture. I was told that he has seen this problem with everyone who bought this furniture and that Ashley is aware of the problem but refuses to do anything about it. They keep taking the customer's money. The inspector said the furniture is made of poor quality materials and would cost more to fix than it's worth.

My wife and I decided to get new bedroom furniture, so we eventually settled on a set from Ashley. BIG mistake! From the time of delivery we had problems. First off, when we purchased the furniture, we were told that the people delivering would do a "white glove" inspection (or some sort of play on words) when they set it up. They told me everything looked good, but upon my own inspection, I found multiple scratches/bubbles/knicks. We called to report the damages and it was like our concerns fell on deaf ears. We would tell them what was damaged... they would say the parts are ordered... and we called because the parts hadn't showed, they would tell us that there is no record of any calls being made to report damages. They have brought us 3 dressers now, and each was in worse shape than the previous.
The last incident was a couple months ago when we noticed one of the nightstands coming apart at the corner (It holds a small lamp and two remotes). Seeing that this was probably the 10-12th call I've had make on our furniture in less than six months, I was a bit frustrated with this company. They said they would send out a repairman to our house and make it right. The repairman looked it over and said they would get a replacement ordered in for next week. Well, about a week and a half go by and we still have no nightstand. I had to call THEM yet again, and be told that they would not be replacing this item because it was a customer damage. This nightstand sits over in a corner away from everything. The last person to move it was THEIR employee?! I told my wife that I am done with trying to get it right. We will NEVER buy another Ashley product!

She tried to blame it on my credit card holder company and when I stated to her that I had just got off the phone with CC company she seem aggravated. I purchased a Ridgley Chest for my master bedroom and it was delivered 5 days later within the time Ashley scheduled. However, the draw fronts were crooked, misaligned, chunk of carpet stuck in a joint, and was otherwise unacceptable for a $700 chest. Per Ashley's guarantee, I refused the chest and opted for another delivery. The 2nd chest arrived in worse shape than the 1st. It arrived unwrapped (the first one was at least protected with wrapping), and 4 out of the 5 draws were crooked, had warped draw fronts, etc. I refused this one and opted for one more attempt. The 3rd chest arrived unboxed, no packaging, unwrapped, had serious scratches and dings throughout, gaps at the draw fronts, a nail sticking out of the side of the chest, stain missing, filthy and crooked hardware. Against my better judgement I opted for one more attempt. The 4th chest arrived unboxed and unwrapped as well.
When I finally called the store after the 4th rejection, they offered nothing as far as help in getting me a new undamaged chest.
They were more than helpful giving me a refund (2 billing cycles to get your money back if you use your Ashley card) but no aid in simply fulfilling the order, which left me with no choice but to get a refund. So, buyer beware of the location. I've been shopping with Ashley for many years in different locations and never experienced anything like this. The 4 days off work with nothing to show for it is my biggest problem. They stalk you in the store for business but when I gave it to them they were unable to fulfill the order due to having no control over the crap the warehouse is sending to their customer.

Ashley furniture workers were NO HELP at all. Before I paid for it I stressed to them that I needed it before Christmas. They assured me, no problem but then tell me it was placed on back order. Mind you, I paid for it in the beginning of November. Once I said I wanted my money back, they said since I paid in cash, it would be 2 weeks before I could receive a check from them. And to top things off had my husband not been in the bedroom we would not have been told the box spring was missing a chunk of wood and there was a spot where it was split. So from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. my husband went thru hurdles to get someone to respond to question of where is mattress. At the Brownsville store the manager and Credit Manager said there was nothing they could do. It was on back order.
My husband got a hold of Mcallen store and they told him it was not on back order. It just was not loaded and left behind. When he finally got a hold of customer care after calling and no answer for 5 hours. The person there said they apologized but the earliest delivery would be December 30th!!! Ordered 4 pieces of furniture: sofa, accent chair, coffee table, and end table. Three out of four pieces arrived damage/not made well. Thank goodness I cleaned the furniture before the delivery guys left or I would have not seen the damage on the coffee table. One of the rear cushions on the sofa was not sewn properly, and the accent chair had staples sticking out, stuffing coming out when you removed the seat to see what was going on and exposed wood from the frame of the chair. I didn't notice the issues with the chair till two days later. The delivery guy took pics of the table and sofa, and called customer service before leaving. I got a discount on the table and kept it, the sofa was to be replaced 16 days later. Ok!
Two days later, I called customer service about the accent chair. They requested pictures and said that they would get right back to me. Sent pics, no call. Called the next day, they requested more pics and said they would get back to me... Again NO CALL! A week later I called the sales person who sold me the furniture, he said he would take care of it and that I should send pics. I told him that I had already sent two sets of pics to customer service and that no one ever got back to me. He said ok, he will look at them and that they would want me to use my protection plan to get my one replacement for the accent chair. I said, "NO THAT'S NOT HAPPENING! I've had the chair for only two days, it arrived that way and it was not damage on my part. Why should I use my protection plan?!" He said that he will get back to me.
The next day he called and said it was resolved, and that I should expect a call from customer service. TWO DAYS LATER, NO CALL! I called customer service, the rep said there were no pictures in their email and that I would have to send them again, so I forwarded the original emails, and she said she would get back to me. Again NO ** call. So an hour later I called to speak with a manager, who looked at the emails but was still asking me what the ** issue was when he had pics right in front of him. So he cancelled the delivery of my replacement sofa and rescheduled it for two days later than the original date so that they could send the sofa and accent chair at the same time.
So that was 14 days that customer service never called me back. Delivery day gets here. They come in my apartment, asked to see what the issue was before they just replace my furniture... I thought that was resolved with customer service that's why you are here to deliver my replacements, NOT QUESTION ME! They come in my home with mud all over their boots and step all over my brand new white and blue rug. So I tell them to stop so I can scrub their ** off my rug and move it out their way. They stand there with attitude and talk mess in Spanish then have the nerve to be impatient with me.
On top of that the new couch is filthy and dusty, and they wanted me to sign paperwork before they finished installing and before I could inspect the pieces. I told them NO, that they could wait. So now I have to clean a "new" couch before my child can sit on it and clean my rug that no one even attempted to apologize for messing up. I will NEVER do business with them again. Since we purchased this from an outside vendor other than Ashley's showroom, we were directed back to our vendor. Since the lifetime frame warranty is difficult to get results, the vendor asked me to open the cover on the bottom of the sofa and to describe to him what I found before he gets involved. I could not believe how crappy the sofa is constructed. The little skinny wood cross beam that extends across, holding the springs snapped in half. The wood was mostly hollow in several places from being of an extremely poor grade. The vendor repaired it after I delivered it back to him.
It took him about 3 days which made me wonder about the quality of the repair. Sure enough, last week the same side collapsed. Today, the other side collapsed and the sofa is now squatting on the ground. People have been making remarks on youtube and the internet that "That's what you get from buying a cheap $1800 sofa." I do not think this is cheap and a sofa should last more than a couple of years. Someone gave me a cheap sofa when I got married and it lasted easily for over 25 years. Someone came out from a contracted third party by Ashley a few days later and even they agreed that it's not worth fixing, too much material, time and labour involved to fix it, which is what they said they would put in their report. About 2 days later the Manager of Ashley Furniture in Stoney Creek called and asked if the problem had been taken care of... NO of course not, obviously they don't follow up with their staff or reports... They still refuse to replace them and want to fix it.
We are extremely upset and disappointed after spending so much money, they are treating people like this. Everyone else has a 100% satisfaction guarantee... Well apparently not them. We should have looked at all the bad reviews Ashley Furniture is getting before we bought from them to, which is something we do occasionally before buying a big ticket item and didn't this time which was a serious mistake. I would honestly return the damn things but I'm not losing my hard earned money because of their stupid 25% restocking fee. How can you restock a damaged product which you know they will still make money off of trying to sell as damaged goods somewhere? And don't believe the delivery guys, they probably tell you what you want to hear so they don't have to put the product back on the truck right away. THEY ARE A BUNCH OF CROOKS AND WE WILL NEVER BUY FROM THERE AGAIN.

The store has lovely furniture, but the shipping time to get it is not great. When you buy furniture and it takes that long to get to you and it finally comes and your new furniture is broke. You can accept and they will repair it or you can send it back and way god knows how long to get a new one. Which devil do you choose, for the amount of money you pay for the furniture there should be better service than that. This was my first time and last time for buy anything from this store. I would never recommend anyone to buy furniture from this place. You get way better service at the Brick and you will pay a lot less.

We had purchased a $3,000 6 piece power sectional set that was delivered on October 6, 15. The chaise the string is coming out on the seams and there are tiny holes that are also by the seams. The fabric on the furniture is supposed to be tight on the sectional chairs and they are not some are looser than others. I have a hole in one of the chairs and the fabric is so loose on that chair also. When the furniture was delivered I told the deliver guys that the fabric is suppose to be tight on the sectional and they told me that is the way it is suppose to be. Then I contacted the store about the whole the customer service told me that the fabric should be tight and not loose at all. I been trying to contact the store for a week and a half about this due to it was sent to the manager's attention.. I called the store every day about this issue.
Finally I received an email today telling me that the manager stated I have to contact the warranty company about this. I called the store to find out why I had to contact them. The manager had asked me if I have pets in the home or kids then had stated to me that this was done by a kid or a pet that I have to go thru the warranty company. I told him a kid or pet did not do this. If that was the case anyway it would not have happened if the furniture fabric is properly installed on the furniture. Now I have a $3,000 sectional that they want me to go through the warranty company to pull apart to fix that is not even two months old. I should not have to be dealing with a brand new set being messed up like this for that amount of money we paid for this.
I told the manager Joe I will be contacting the BBB about my complaint and he stated "Go ahead. I have the pictures that you sent and I been in the business for 6 years and I will tell them that a pet or child done this and show them the pictures." I explained to him several times that my pets do not go on the furniture. He did not want to hear anything.

Bought 3 piece "leather" -- sofa, loveseat, and recliner with $150 Guardian warranty. About 2 years after purchase, the "leather" on the sofa and especially the loveseat started flaking/wearing off where our kids and cats sit. I called Guardian today to get warranty repair and they declined stating the damage wasn't accidental (as required to be in the maintenance contract). I explained the cats and kids didn't intentionally damage the furniture, Guardian said they would not honor the claim and to address it with Ashley Furniture. Junk "leather" furniture and worthless $150 warranty. I learned my lesson. Neither business will see anymore of my business.

We purchased two new sofa's from the Miramar location in San Diego, CA. We sat on and tested all the sofa's available on the showroom floor and picked one that had the newest, greatest technology. The COIL system in the cushions. The salesman "O'Bar" told us how wonderful it was and with the new technology we did not need the three cushions but could go with the two cushion style. In the showroom the cushions had great return to original shape and since we knew that they were sat on continuously they had to be good.
Well we have had them for EIGHT DAYS and they are sagging, are oversized for the sofa and look terrible. We contacted the store and wanted to speak to a Manager and were told they could have a technician look at the sofa's. All sales are final after delivery and they would have a manager contact us. As of today no one will return our calls. Please reconsider buying anything from Ashley furniture. These picture are of two separate sofas only eight days in our home and we do not have kids. Only two adults have sat on them.

Received 2 orders of furniture, dining for myself and living room for my daughter. My daughters order had a a defective/damaged sofa table and coffee table. Mine had defective/damaged dining table. The delivery techs assured me it was noted in their report and that all 3 pieces of furniture would be replaced. As soon as they left I discovered that 4 out of 8 chairs had uneven legs (1 leg about 1/2 inch shorter on those chairs). I immediately called customer service to report and inquire about replacement furniture. The customer service rep was very rude and stated that they could try to repair but would not replace and that dining table was not noted with any damage and the other two pieces were noted but not that they were to be replaced.
Because I accepted the furniture they would not replace nor would they accept a return even though the delivery tech said they would replace and she essentially was calling me a liar. I spoke to a supervisor who was even more rude who repeated the same thing. She also said she would investigate and call the delivery tech and call me back which she never did. At this time I still have not received the call back or any corrective action from Ashley Furniture for the defective/damaged furniture which was half of the furniture received.

My husband and I were furnishing our condo for the first time. We did so from top to bottom from Ashley Furniture. Unfortunately, every single piece that we ordered had a problem with it. We had a credit line with them so we did continue to go there. Now that it has been years from this experience I can absolutely say I would never go back. Every item that arrived had broken pieces which we had to send back and wait for replacements. Our table scratched unbelievably easily. Our couch fell apart within two years. We then learned that you were not supposed to clean it with anything at all. EVER! I don't know about you but I cannot have a couch like that! Nobody ever told us that.
We have small children and should have never been encouraged to purchase that couch. The swivel broke on our chair. We had to replace that. It's been a complete nightmare and they did not do much to make it right. I wouldn't do business with them again. Oh, and the one here in town has a "going out of business sale" every 6 months and then they never go out of business. The place is a total scam. There are two of them in this area and their prices totally vary. It is disappointing to see an item that you purchased at one store be cheaper at a store the next town over. The store is poorly run.

We are extremely disappointed at Ashley Furniture, especially the delivery services. We bought furniture over the years from Bob's, Macy's, and Raymour. We never had an issue with the delivery time or the goods. This is our first purchase from Ashley and it did not leave a good impression with us at all. First, the delivery window was originally given between 1 and 5PM on Thursday 11/12/2015. Around 5PM, they called to push it out to 6:30 PM. Second, they brought the entertainment center, put it next to each other, and barely fastened the pieces to each other. The unit has two lights that should be turned ON/OFF via touching the cabinets door hinges. They did not even bother setting that up. They left it to us to do it.
My husband and I spend the following evening putting the Entertainment center together and figuring out the light switch thing. Then we discovered 2 scratches on the coffee table and 3 on one of the End tables. I called them. They said they will send me an email, reply back and attach pics of the damage. I DID...but that was it. Nothing else happened. No replies and no resolutions. I do not know what to do now.

Myself, and my boyfriend visited the Ashley Furniture store on route 110 in Farmingdale, NY twice, as we were searching for a bed frame, and really liked what they had to offer; aside from that, the manager there **, was very pleasant and personable, and went out of his way to accommodate us, in the type of furniture that we were looking for. We purchased our bed frame on Fri. November 20th, with a scheduled delivery date of November 22nd that Sunday. The bed frame was delivered on time. HOWEVER, it did not come with ANY screws, or parts to assemble any of it!
The two men who showed up to put the frame together were not able to do anything other than call their contact, to place an order for the screws, those of which we were told cannot be acquired anywhere else (not online, in-store, etc) other than through an order. We were then told that we would have to wait a week for the screws to arrive, and then after, schedule ANOTHER date for the bed frame to be assembled.
Today is Saturday Nov. 29th, we have been waiting a week for the parts, and still have received nothing; the bed frame is sitting in two separate boxes in the middle of our bedroom, collecting dust. I placed a call to Customer-Service and Distribution center, phone-# 732-548-1200 this morning, and spoke w/ a representative named Ray who was of no help whatsoever; he informed me that the parts for the bed were shipped the 23rd and 24th of November and they should be arriving today (yeah right); he also informed me that the parts would be coming via "snail mail".
You would think that a company would have the common courtesy, and decency to expedite the order, in light of an error THEY MADE. I expressed to Ray our frustration, and asked as to if there was anything that could be done regarding a discount for the inconvenience; Ray stated that it wasn't his call, and placed me on hold; he came back 2 mins later stating that they DO NOT SEE THIS MATTER AS AN INCONVENIENCE, and there was nothing that they could do; he said if we have any further problems to call. WHAT **! We are so disappointed in Ashley Furniture, and will not be purchasing ANY kind of furniture from them again! What a waste of time and energy. Aside from the in-store sales people, Ashley Furniture are total frauds and do not have the means to back up their projected, and advertised good-standing, and good merit.

11-23-15 (Pre-Black Friday Sale). This afternoon my wife and I went to Ashley Furniture in Middletown, NY. We needed a coffee table and two end tables. We came to Ashley because of the 15% of SALE they were having, as well as we purchased our Leather Sofa recliner and matching chair and a half leather recliner about 2 years ago (about 3,000 dollars) and a Chest of draws for the bedroom (about 800.00).
While there we looked around and were being helped. We looked through the books and after some decisions narrowed our search down. The salesman looked up the prices and told us what the items would cost (about 1325.00) which I believed was the SALE price since the sale is 15% off. He then asked if we had an Ashley card, and my wife said YES. So he asked how we were going to pay. He said if we pay CASH or 6 Months financing he can give us about a 200.00 discount. Otherwise we could finance interest free for 36 months. While we were deciding what to do we were there for a while. The salesman came back over with the manager and said he had to leave to pick up his child but the manager would help us (at least I believe he was said he was a manager).
We asked the manager if he could do any better on the price and we told him it was 20% off online. He said he could match that. My wife and I were speaking again and then had the question that blew the sale. We asked about the discount and the sale. He then said they were one and the same. I was very confused and the manager did not care at all. He did not even try to explain when I asked further. He just walked away, as if "oh well dont like it go somewhere else." My wife and I spoke about it for a few minutes further deciding what to do, realized he was not coming back and left. We saw him up towards the front corner of the showroom, in a conversation with another employee. A complete lack of customer service.
This means there is no REAL SALE. A sale is for everyone during the sale period, no matter what the purchase method is. This is only a discount if you buy cash or for 6 month financing. There is a huge difference in the meaning of the words Sale and Discount. Sale: a period during which a retailer sells goods at reduced prices. Discount: a deduction from the usual cost of something, typically given for prompt or advance payment or to a special category of buyers:
This is not a sale and is a true BAIT AND SWITCH tactic. I believe this is even illegal under NYS Truth and Advertising Laws. We were very disappointed. This was the worst experience furniture shopping ever. My wife has been considering buying a very expensive bedroom set that you have, we have been trying to make room for it. At this point I am glad we did not purchase it.

It isn't like I was looking for something antique. So once the line is no longer made, you cannot get a part to replace anything unless YOU want to go shopping to find a part that may be from a current line of products they are still selling. What service is that? We started by sending an email to Ashley but they never even bothered to return an answer. My first experience with Ashley Furniture was a chair I bought from the Riverton Utah store. It was nice and sturdy with good fabric, so it seemed. Within a year or two the foam in the chair degraded to the point that I was sitting on the wood practically, this was at least 6 inches of foam at least. All the screws came loose so I had to put Locktite on all of them. Then within another year or two the fabric wore out to where you could see through it and it now has holes where you sit. The wood is still nice and the screws are holding. It will cost as much as the chair to re-upholster it. Ashley said they can't do anything about it, they should back up their product much better. No chair with medium use should have done this in this amount of time, we have had it for 4 years and it only took three years to do what I have explained.
Second experience was when we bought a bed and mattress from them in their Salt Lake Store. By the way customer service was pretty good. Within 6 months I had sunken into the bed more than 4 plus inches, it felt like I was in a hammock. I could not roll towards the center due to the foam breaking down so much. We called them and a nice guy came out and hung a string across the bed that was weighted down on both sides. He said that it has to be an inch and a half depression to be defective. You don't have to tell me, after sleeping in a hammock, that there is something wrong with this mattress. We flipped the mattress as recommended and within a month now it feels like I am in a hammock again. The bed has held up and is nice still.
I recommend the wood products so far, use Locktite, but I cannot recommend anything that has foam in it. The only reason I gave it a two star instead of a one star was that the people working there were pretty nice.
