When my lawyers dropped the ball, Veterans United was right there to pick it up. They provided me with much needed support and guidance when it seemed like things weren't going according to plan, and did about as much as possible to help the process along on my behalf.

Be sure to have a lot of patience, they want to know everything about your life. And why you are pay for your spouse purchases from joint banking accounts. Would have gone with Rocket Mortgage if they offered VA loan on Manufactured Homes.

I can't thank Derek, Jared and the team enough. Their professionalism, honesty and patience made the purchase of our first home a dream come true! I am an old school hard nosed hard charging Senior NCO from the spit shine you boots and put sharp creases in your BDUs era. Soldiers loathe getting in my line for PT/ACFT tests because I am such a hard grader. With all that said I would give VU the maximum grade possible on any scale for the service/blessing they provided to me. I shopped around, called USAA and others and VU distinguished themselves from the other options and I am elated I chose them. I would go war with my loan officer Bobbie ** and her team that helped me. If you are skimming thru these reviews see and know this, they have the process so down pat, they make sure you do not get jerked and they have everything so streamlined and digital. I cannot recommend them enough or thank them enough for how they are helping and taking care of us Veterans! Hooah!-

The Veteran's United team (Loan officer, Loan officer assistant, and Loan concierge) were very professional and kept me informed on all aspects of my loan process. Our loan team was exceptional from the start. Constant communication, easy to work with, friendly, funny and professional. Chris was in constant communication and kept us on track even when some hiccups came up outside of our control. Easy to work with, friendly and professional without being stuffy. Noelle was friendly and prompt, always keeping us in the loop of where things stood and Amanda was helpful with providing utility information, moving help, etc. I cannot recommend Veterans United highly enough, especially after working with other "veteran friendly" lenders who aren't friendly at all.

When I was going through the process of buying this house, I had one loan officer and then ever-changing coordinators which kept screwing up the process. They overcharged me for a "VA" appraiser that did not do his job. We found out after we closed, that the septic "box" was 3 feet from the door and 30 feet from the well. Both of which violate building codes. The minimum distance for the septic is 10 feet from the house and 100 feet from the well. The water is undrinkable without 3 filters because it is only 50 feet deep and too close to the septic. It's supposed to be at least 100 - 800 feet deep for where it is at. Veterans United doesn't care and they refuse to do anything about it. They said "Oh, well, we already paid the sellers." Stay Away from Veterans United loan company.

Everyone on my loan team was very helpful if I had any questions. A team member would always email me or call me if there were any tasks I needed to complete, and if I wasn't sure how to complete the task, the team member would talk me through it in terms that I could understand. They also kept me informed of any changes or issues that needed to be resolved by myself or the seller, and informed me of when the inspection was going to be that I had requested so that I could be present during the inspection. I was kept informed of those results and of any changes that needed resolved. I never had to worry that I wasn't well informed of any issues that I needed to be aware of. Before starting my application, I read a lot of reviews and I came to the conclusion that everyone's situation is different and I should just try. I am glad I did. I applied and the same day I received a call from my loan officer Brian. I explained my situation, told him I knew it would be tough but he stated they could get it done and get me into my home. My application to closing took 2 months and in between that time frame, Brian and Merideth of my home loan team were incredible. They made me feel like I was the only customer and my loan was their number 1 priority. They answered so many questions, responded quickly and always kept things on track.
