We contracted with Optima Tax Relief based on all the positive reviews. It cost us over $7500, not the $4500 stated on their website. I supplied copies of all the receipts, invoices etc. for the schedule C's. I had to resend all the documentation twice! Received a call from a lady named Ruby, asking me if I can reduce my overall legal fees claimed, in spite of providing substantiation. I replied that she is asking me to lie, the expenses are true and correct. She was going to speak with her supervisor and get back to me. 6 months later, I still haven't heard back from her.

Optima Tax turned a disastrous personal year that I had in 2018 into a wonderful ending. In 2018 I had an infection that entered my spinal column that ended up causing me additional back surgery. The same infection then entered my left knee replacement causing operation number 2 and was followed by operation 3 with putting the knee replacement back in. Buyer beware of their tactics - canned responses and no follow up. Waiting from December to hear back from their management staff regarding how we've been treated. Got the first return call today 39 days late - waiting since last year. Their Sr. Account person - zero customer skills - what a waste of time. They will not accept any responsibility for their poor customer service. The person was rude and unprofessional. I've detailed our reasons for our dissatisfaction & provided to Optima's rep. last year (found out he quit). Nobody calling us to informed us nobody calling back responding to our hope somebody cared. Provided our details reason(s) for our dissatisfaction - only to be threaten by their "Sr Rep."

I paid $500 for them to review my act. with the IRS. They wanted $9k to save me $10k with the IRS. I said it was too expensive, but then they charge $900 two consecutive months as payment toward services, which I NEVER approved. I also never approved them keeping my CC on file that they charged. DO NOT use this company. Dishonest.
