My name is Stephonsila **. I've been banking with with Dave for 4 years and getting direct deposit of 967.00 deposit early. Now my money comes between the 24th. No later than the 27th. It isn't on there and also I spoke with SSI. They released the onion the 26th and they keep say they haven't received it yet.

This is the worst banking app I ever bank with. They still haven't sent my money. They are a gimmick and I'm filling a civil suit lawsuit about my direct deposit the outrageous apr. I get my direct deposit every 26th of the month. It's nothing on my card yet they always manage to mess it up.

I got a cash advance from Dave a few times. Thought things were going great. The last advance I got from them they decided to settle 3 weeks early. Messed my checking account all up. They’ve definitely have lost a customer here!!

They rectified the situation and I was able to utilize their services without a problem once they responded to my service request via email. And they do have a customer service number you can call unlike some of the other Financial payday services. I highly recommend Dave. Thank you.

Poor customer service, poor communication for email support. I messed up one letter on my email when I tried to sign up and then they told me they can't verify my identity and that they can't help me no matter what. It's just a horrible, horrible application mobile app and service. I do not recommend it. It's a joke

Dave has only offered me $75.00 in an advance, the highest advance.. With split installments for fees with each. It's usually only $50.00/split once again. Advances do change. Almost always from higher to lower.

My experience with Dave has been great up until 1 week ago. I paid my advance back on July 2nd. Today is July the 7th. Is still saying that it is pending which it came out of my account on that exact day. It is not pending. I depend on Dave to borrow from to pay bills but now my account is in the negative. I wanted to borrow from Dave but unfortunately Dave is not giving up any money and still saying that I owe money. This is bad business. I can show the screenshots of when the money was taken out of my account. I do understand the holiday and all of that but it's almost been a week since Dave has gotten his money back. Tell me why can I borrow back from Dave.

Dave Surveys exploits users. I successfully complete a survey only for the survey to turn into another survey and despite spending a considerable amount of time completing the survey, I don't get compensated for it. They also refuse to give me a higher extra Cash loan even though I have never been late on a payment before at all. Offering 500 is bogus and rarely happens even when you pay your loan back on time. When I had my direct deposit going to this bank, I would have to beg them to release it. Sometimes, they would take days to post a direct deposit and lie and say that they never received it when the companies said it was sent. I hope you go out of business.

I've never really had an issue with the app till recently. I was charged twice for a settlement and I’ve been trying to get it resolved. They’re extremely unhelpful. It does seem like they give them a bunch of prompts to use when responding to customers.

Terrible experience. As with everything in this day and age customer service is non-existent. Everything is communicated through email and you're lucky if you get a response within 24 hours. Even the email responses are automated. They have a number you can call, but again it's all automated and all it does is refer you back to the faq section of the app or live chat which is also non-existent. Even if you could talk to somebody, nobody speaks English because it's all outsourced.

I revoked ACH authorization as legally allowed under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act. Dave acknowledged my request — then proceeded to ignore it. They continued trying to debit my accounts after revocation, despite no signed loan agreement or formal repayment contract. This isn’t a “loan” — it’s a loophole cash advance disguised as “ExtraCash,” and their behavior is predatory. I’ve now filed complaints with the CFPB and BBB.
If you’re in a tight spot financially, this app will dig the hole deeper. Their support sends vague template responses, and they hide behind legal semantics to keep auto-debiting users. Even payday loan companies honor revocation — Dave does not. Do not trust this app with your bank account. They don’t care about ethics — only access.

Don't do it!!! Long story short...I've been getting deposits to my Dave card through my employer. Well on May 9th it didn't come. I reached out every other day with yesterday being my last time. They kept giving me the run around saying it takes time to process deposits. It's May 21st!!! So I reached out to my HR department 7 other employees had the same issue and they were giving HR the run around so she filed with the BBB that was this morning....and wow it showed up!!! No sense of urgency, run around, does not acknowledge their mistake, playing with people money and it's two weeks later. No concern at all. I will not use direct deposit with them again!!!

Don’t use this app!!! Repeat do not use this app! They keep trying to verify my account that I am getting a message saying that they are unable to connect to my bank. They have charged my account many little withdrawals, but also a five dollar withdrawal which shows that they did connect to my bank, however I was still not able to use the app for a cash advance.! Emailed customer service many times to refund my account!!!!

Dave.com behaves like a ringside crew of financial pickpockets. I gave them a written, legally valid order to stop taking money from my bank account. Their response was to refuse and then demand the sort of personal data an identity thief would drool over, all sent through regular email. They know the Electronic Fund Transfer Act requires them to halt the debits, yet they keep threatening to reach back into my account and REFUSE ACH revocation.
That is not a misunderstanding. It is, in my view, deliberate, borderline criminal behavior. They are fully aware of the law and are choosing to flout it. Any company that keeps yanking cash against a customer’s explicit revocation is acting like a thief, not a financial “ally.” I have lodged stop‑payment orders at my bank and am preparing formal complaints for the CFPB, the FTC, and the Utah Attorney General. I want Dave.com investigated for what looks to me like willful, systemic abuse of consumer rights. If you value your money and your identity, stay as far from Dave.com as possible.

I have my entire direct deposit going into the account assuming it was legit. I can’t make my car payment with this account. I went to the ATM to withdraw cash, deposit it into my REAL bank account, only I have a $200 withdraw max with a 4.95 fee so I will have to make 3 trips and $15 dollars over 3 days just to make my car payment. I called customer service you casually said “looks like fraudulent activity, just give it 24 hrs and try again."
First of all, fraudulent activity? How when I can’t even use it myself and no one contacted me on this activity? Secondly I don’t have 24 hours to make my car payment. It’s already taking 3 days to get money out. So $15 in ATM fees and $35 late fee for my car payment? I asked to speak with a supervisor and she hung up on me. It’s a HORRIBLE thing they portray themselves as a bank. Needless to say my direct deposit is going back into my other account and leave this scam to hopefully one day bankrupt. Don’t use these people. They are thieves.

I have been with Dave for 7 months and have had issues with them from the beginning. This was the last straw for me. I have closed my account with them and moved over to current. They are so much better than Dave. Money go missing from my account and they can’t explain why or don’t try to help get your money back. It takes forever to get your direct deposit and the main issue is that their customer service staff lie and is rude, so here’s the last thing for me.
I had money put away in my goals account for emergency and one to get my money safe since it keeps disappearing so I transferred 1500 from my goals to my checking two weeks ago, so come this week Monday 04/14/25 - my grandmother was out on hospice and given a few days at most to live so I’m losing my mind trying to get a flight asap up to Texas where she is I live in Fla by the way. Ok so I go to my Dave account and try to transfer 900 dollars to go with the cash I had which was 500 so that’s all I had to my name so I got the transfer button and it won’t let me I try a few times it keeps saying I reached my limit, so I call the CS number and this lady takes my call. I explain it all to her.
She puts me on hold then comes back and say, "You have reached your 3000 dollar limit" so I’m like how you can’t even transfer 3k into the goals account and this is my second withdrawal from it. She keeps repeating what she already said. So I asked, "Can I just close the goals account and then you can just transfer my money back to my checking," she tells me, "Yes but you have a extra cash balance and have to pay that off first." Ok cool so I pay it back while on the phone with her told her it’s paid. "So now are you 100% sure it will go right back in my checking." She says, "I’ve already closed it and yes it will." So I tell her to hold on while I check the account.
I check it and there’s nothing there. She then tells me it can take up to 24 hours so I’m like ok. So the next day come and still no money. Now it’s Wednesday. It’s past 24hrs so I call back. They tell me, "Oh if you clear the account we will mail you a check." I’m like it’s already closed what do you mean. Then the guy tell me to hold on. He come back 10 min later and then say the account was closed Monday so, "Your check will Arrive my the 28th," I asked for a manager to file a complaint. He give me an email I wbe the call and 30 min later I get a call my granny had passed away and I never got the chance to say goodbye… so DON'T use Dave ever instead sign up for current or another bank. Never Dave.

I signed up last night. Got $25 advance on a virtual debit card! After several attempts and even after adding it to Apple Pay it don’t work and comes up insufficient funds even though it was way way less than I had on card. No love chat and the BOT gives answer an Nothing to do with what you asked. Return email same thing - answers that do not come close to what you asked. Poor support! I don't recommend.

This despicable app is apparently infamous for allowing you to put funds in the FULLY VERIFIED ACCOUNT YOU'VE HAD FOR YEARS, then immediately locking said account and card with your money in it the second you try and use any of it. They have NO notification that this happened, no instructions how to avoid it, how it even happens, how to remove it (turns out they can't and won't. Even calling they say there is no way to remove it) and absolutely no information whatsoever on when it will be lifted, why it was locked, nothing. At all. Anywhere. They do this to everybody for no reason, and then when you complain to the BBB about it, they auto generate responses about some email thread they found that absolutely does NOT exist and they don't respond to any form of attempt to contact anyway.
They have ENDLESS complaints about doing this to people. Check any review site. It's despicable. They lock/steal your money for days, even weeks with no way to resolve and all because you wanted to pay the rent with their card or something as simple as a $1.00 withdrawal. They do this to claim interest on your money and it's wrong. They have made me miss my mortgage for 2 payments because of this and now I'm facing $900 in late fees etc. This needs to stop and they need to be shut down. This is hurting people. They also steal money from your bank account without any agreement or notice or way to stop it in the form of "tips" they just decide to steal from your linked account or balance. Even if you decline any payments. Furthermore, they steal money monthly in the same ways for some membership nobody ever agreed to and have no way to stop it, refund it, or anything. These scumbags NEED to be shut down.

I have dealt with Dave for over 2 years, to make a long story short, if you change your personal bank credentials, (not Dave banking) Dave makes you delete your bank then will not allow you to add your bank back for 90 days. This left me short what I had arrowed from them. Upon contacting their award winning help desk, you can hardly understand their analysts, Secondly if you use the app to contact support they just keep changing analyst and repeat the same canned speech, see screenshot attached, so in summation at all costs avoid dealing with this company, in my thoughts the company owned by Asians as that is the only people you talk to at support and they will not transfer you to a manager or provide you with a problem ticket.

I am a dedicated customer that holds a Dave banking account, I was recently hit with fraudulent activity on my personal bank account and called Dave to report the issue. I asked for a 24 extension on my payment because of my checking account being fraudulently accessed by an outside source that way I would not be charged an overdraft fee from Dave, so I could avoid an overdraft fee from my local bank for not having the funds to make that payment and more importantly that my credit score would not take a hit from the insufficient funds as result of the fraudulent activity on my account. I was told by a Dave representative that they would not extend my payment date then I asked for a supervisor and the only supervisor was busy on another call!! How is it that Dave is such a large company and they only have one supervisor that can help me? Terrible customer service!!
I opened my Dave account to boost my credit score and they are refusing to help an existing good customer to extend to me a 24 hour payment in order to preserve my account and my credit!!! The representative told me that my request to speak to a supervisor could take 24 hours to get back to me!!!! So very disappointing. PS - the representative is named London and she refused to provide me with her last name nor her extension.

There was a fraudulent charge on my Dave account for $109.34. I provided dave with an email from microsoft saying it was a fraudulent charge. Dave still will not return my money. DON'T USE DAVE! I've contacted customer service over 10 times and they have denied my appeal.

This site is 100 percent fraud. They pretend like your linked debit card does not work (this happens every time) so you will be forced to “sign up” for their card (even though mine is active). They will make you wait days and days to show your advance is “pending” although funds show withdrawn (I had an emergency medical situation-oncology… and even though Ma and Leslie acknowledged the funds were withdrawn from my account absolutely refused to put me through to management-worst customer service ever!). They have a glitch they will not fix and it’s concerning with compromising/sensitive info. They are a horrible company!

I tried to pay back funds earlier. In hopes of reborrowing to pay some other bills. All of a sudden my card on file for a year that's still good. Won't go through. I truly think it's a scam. If you don't have to use please don't or limit its use severely. They want you to have direct deposit through them. Do not do it. Go through an accredited bank. I'll never do business with them again.

I am a contract employee, I get paid once a month, other apps (Earnin/Brigit/Klover/Cleo/Moneylion/Empower) they have all been willing to move my pay date after verifying my employment. Not DAVE. For days I was in a vicious loop of emails, being asked my information repeatedly, after sending it several times, directed to chat to be redirected to an email then being asked for a photo ID to confirm who I am, even after all of the information I provided from my account within the app, They had my pay day as my husband's and, yes, it does matter, I was begging them to change it and it was a nightmare.
I had to request a stop payment from my bank and disconnect all of my accounts because they were just giving me the run around, before I did this, I did ask for a 30 day extension in hopes that they would be able to work it out, but they're taking so long I knew by the time they make a decision they would have my money, It should not be this hard and I shouldn't have been put in that situation. I still have every intention on paying them, but they need to do better. I'll stick with the others. Too stressful.

I closed my account and deleted the app when I was being charged $1. I decided not to get an advance seeing their high interest rates. I keep getting messages from them, so I sent a request to opt out as there is no way to opt out in the emails. Every time I send them something they ask for, they ask for something else. After reinstalling the app it would not let me verify my DL. I literally have about 12 email requests from them for something different they are asking for (i.e my DL in jpeg instead of pdf). It appears they are refusing to opt me out. Proceed with caution.

I apply for what I thought would be a small "payday" loan and got locked into a money scam! I did not use the funds and request to close the account and received a message stating that I need to settle the account before closing. Please note this was the same day I applied. So I tried to transfer the funds to my external account but to my surprise the transfer button option did NOT work therefore I'm stuck in a money bag loop!!! This was my stupid error thinking the company was a honest lending company!!!

I've given Dave about a year of use and this is the last straw. Their algorithm for determining cash advance is ridiculous. I get paid weekly and have only ever not received 1 paycheck due to missing work. I've always paid back what I borrowed. Their cash advance fluctuates so hard I decided to put 100% of my paycheck to them on direct deposit thinking it would help my experience, it did not. I went down to $25 to borrow. This was about 4 paychecks ago. They charge 1.5% to instantly withdraw your money, they do not have close ATMs that will not charge hefty fees, and today is payday and instead of getting paid the night prior how it has been. It's now half day into payday and no rep has helped me to understand why I haven't received funds.
I checked my employer website and routing and check number are correct on check stub. Dave customer service just says to wait and check the app throughout the day. On top of that the repayment is showing late even though they receive my money first. They have said they cannot reimburse membership fees or give me any type of credit for inconvenience. I'm done with Dave and the only one that cares is me.

I've used Dave quite a few times. They used to give me $500 and it slowly dropped to $75.00. I have paid back a day early (every time) I think they just try to suck you in and then drop the advance amount. What can you do with $75??? I switched to Empower, they will give you $350 and as soon as you pay it back you can get another advance immediately of the same amount. I use Dave in a pinch but I definitely wouldn't recommend!!!

My experience with Dave was awful. I signed up. Got my Dave card. I attached the app to my bank and debit card..It would tell me that I would be able to have an advance of $25 or $ 50 but then would not let me access it. It kept telling me that my debit card or bank was invalid or not linked to the account. Both were inaccurate. Despite the fact that I rechecked and redid all the numbers, deleted, re-uploaded, cleared the cache, etc, I was still unable to see anything on the account. I contacted customer service at least four times. And they just keep telling me the exact same thing that I needed to put my card in. Again.
My card is brand new. The numbers are the same. It works for everything else. And I literally got no help from customer service whatsoever. I finally decided to just delete it because it was too frustrating. I really could have used the $50 ahead of time for a car repair. I was very sad and disappointed that I was unable to access it and decided it to just cut my losses with this card and application and delete it. It was a waste of time.

They DO NOT credit your advance payment to your account in 3 days. It's been well over 3 days and even though they took my money it's still not credited and customer service doesn't reply or fix the problem. Use a different app.

I Had Dave For My Direct Deposit And Dave Only Let Me Borrow $50 After Thousands Of Dollars Hit The Dave Checking Account. I Appreciate The $50 But Dave Should Not Mislead Anyone Into Believing You Can Actually Borrow $100 + Your First And Many Of Direct Deposits. I Also Received My Direct Deposit Later Than 2 Days Early. And My Employer Release The Funds Immediately.

I have three fraudulent charges on my account. They tell me 3-5 days to get a virtual card and they were sending a new physical card FedEx. LIARS! I have my direct deposit and can't get my money. The fraud takes up to 45 days. I am beyond mad. I will post every single day.

I have been on Dave a few months. Got A couple $125 loans. My car broke down and was late by a couple of days and paid them back. Now all I can for advance is $25. Their survey section worked for a while. Then started not paying for completed surveys. Or would not pay for original completed survey, send you to another one and not pay for that one either. There is a "we hate broken surveys" screen that pops up but after explaining over 20 times that I didn't get paid or the survey ended and sent me another survey.
They never respond to about money they owe you while companies use our opinions to make millions for their algorithms. It's been weeks and not a single penny has been added to my account. I have over 50 screenshots showing I have to forfeit my reward or it will just stay on that screen till you do. Also since I was a couple days late all of a sudden I get get a single survey to load? Coincidence? Also be aware of the tip screen. They will take additional funds for charity if you're not careful. Gave them 1 star because it doesn't go any lower. Pay what you OWE for completed surveys, I can't be the only one this is happening to. Post on here if has I'd like know! I'll try and add some screenshots. Can't add them all. I have quite a few.

I started to use Dave and it was good but then Dave started to violate its loan agreements. I would sign a loan agreement since I get paid once a month, I would have the repayment date for the end of the month. I would take out a loan and then a week later money would be removed from my account to "settle" my account so then I would have to take a new loan to cover any shortages the unexpected removal of money from my account. This last transaction Dave took out my money a week after I took a loan out and then indicated they had sent me money on the same day and that I needed to pay at the end of the month.
It has been 7 business days since Dave removed money from my account and allegedly on the same day sent me money for a new loan has happened, I owe Dave money that I did not receive and trying to resolve it through their chat is a useless endeavor and I have no recourse but to close my account and delete my banking info in hopes I don't have money removed from my account at the end of the month. Sucks, Dave starts out strong but then starts removing money early and unexpectedly forcing you to start a new loan so they charge more fees and potentially causing your bank account to come up short. I would not recommend Dave at this point; they are just ripping folks off especially if you get paid once a month. If you have any issues, there is no to little customer service to assist with you in resolving your issue(s). Beware.

It’s impossible to get help or any type of customer service if you have any problems or questions. Customer service definitely is not something Dave cares about. I would NOT recommend using Dave for anything. I personally found a better place to go. One that has customer service.

Absolutely abysmal lender, consumers are subject to unreasonable settlement dates, and they're not able to adjust to aforementioned settlement dates to align with their paycheck(s), or monthly benefit. Additionally, their customer service seems to be directly opposed to formulating a coherent reply beyond the canned responses they're allotted, and they're not willing to help the consumer with the issue I've described above. Do yourself a favor, don't utilize their services.

If I could put negative stars I would. Be informed you will need to jump through hoops to cancel Dave and continue to get charged their $1 fee over and over. I shouldn't have to go through several steps to get out of this ridiculous contract. Over time I'm sure the $1 per person adds up and they are basically scamming people who simply wanted to check out the service, and who thought they may benefit from it. Unfortunately I never used it, but continue paying although I did email and cancel.

I never had a account with Dave because someone else was using my information with them to have an account in my name, tracking credit, etc. After a long process of proving I'm me and getting a fake account closed down then they tried to start charging me subscription fees for an app I don't have. Stay away from Dave! Warning! When you call customer service it’s in another country! The representatives talk to you nasty and let you know there is nothing you can do about your missing money! They have $75 of mine for over seven days and I’m still fighting to get it back! I didn’t even buy anything! It shows pending.. but why???? I’m am contacting the Better Business Bureau! I only it’s only $75 but it’s my money. I never got a loan from them. It’s just pending!

I made a transfer of $200 to my Dave account and it was processed from my other bank but never went into my account. For 5 days it showed the pending deposit then when I reported the issue via Dave app they removed the record of the transaction and I never received the money. I never received any communication back when reporting the issue so they basically stole $200 from me and because it’s processed by my other bank I can’t get my money unless Dave gives me the funds.

I have been with Dave for 6 months. I have taken $200 cash advance twice. In April I took a $200 cash advance. Now I am being told after paying $266.00 settlement, that I owe a $70.00 tip. I did not agree at any time to give tips. Dave got me the first time, but I have stopped payment on The Tip. Dave's will not let me cancel my account and remove all my financial and personal information I provided. I do not want to do business with this SHADY COMPANY!! I should have the choice. It is my money. I have had identity left on my checking debit card with USAA and have disputed this charge.. of $70.00. My bank is investigating this issue. I just want to cancel my account.

They are liars and scamming. They do take out late fees 8$ on a 25$ advance that I took out. Then they tried to settle it at 2:00 in the morning for which my bank canceled it because they thought it was fraud and subsequently charged me $8 because it bounced even though the money was in my debit card which was the second line of spending which they could have easily taken out of.

I signed up with Dave in July 2023 and did not want to use it until March 2024. It was a frustrating experience and very unprofessional. They stated that my bank account was not linked, and I was looking at my bank information on the app. When I went in later, all of the banking information was gone. I tried multiple times to reenter but got no go. Then, when I called with my concerns, they blamed it on Plaid. Then, they wanted me to do a direct deposit when they could not get my bank right. I don't think they really know how their system works

I requested & received my first advance with Dave & I got hacked. Someone hacked my account & sent the money to an unknown CashApp account. I reported it to Dave & was told "no error occurred". Unbelievable.

Dave overcharges for a very poor and limited service. Their customer service is nonexistent and unresponsive. For no reason whatsoever, Dave will penalize you for having a consistent and on time payment history, reducing advance amounts after proving you're a good customer. Sell your information all over the internet and charge exorbitant fees for crap services and chump change.

I used my Dave debit card to get cash, the ATM malfunctioned and received a receipt that stated sprocket error and on the amount dispensed it showed 0.00. I immediately attempted to start a chat in the app, but unfortunately you CANNOT bypass the darn Dave bot to get to an agent. So I called customer service and was politely informed that a dispute was being entered. I would receive an email with a ticket number. Well the email stated as the transaction was pending, they could not dispute it, I would have to wait 5-7 days. So I called customer service back. They explained that until they received a receipt from merchant that it would be pending. Well they had it in the system as a purchase not ATM debit.
So 3 days later it finally came out of a pending status but was a debit not a credit! So I asked to talk with a supervisor and met such resistance and was denied a supervisor for over 5 minutes! The agent just kept repeating her phrase and talked over me. Finally after refusing to hang up I got a supervisor who simply stated the agent told you what I’m telling you. - And again kept talking over me and kept repeating same phrase. I asked to talk with someone higher like an escalation desk and was FLAT OUT TOLD NO! Well I sent an email and told A dispute will take up to 30 days and a credit MAY be given 10 days after a signed dispute form is returned! I spoke with ATM owner who stated a reconciliation report was sent. So with all that I may or may not get a temporary credit and after investigation of 30 days???? I may or may not get a permanent credit! Modern technology and I still need to wait 30 days for possibly nothing.
Well I called corporate office and was transferred 5 times and never once got to talk to anyone!!!! So I left a voice mail at the last place I ended up and guess what? - NO CALL NABK! This is the worst banking experience and by far the worst customer service I have dealt with and they don’t care about the customer in any way shape or form to them it’s all about the $$$$$! I filed a FDIC complaint which was passed to fed reserve and no response yet. I filed a bbb complaint and no response yet! Go figure! If at any point I happen to get my money….closing Dave and I will never recommend them!

I joined Dave accepted an advance and paid on time. When I went to re-advance, they told me no advance available. I waited few days later and same statement no advance available. Now I am without funds. Basically, they stole my money and kept for themselves. I deleted my account. This is highway robbery. Please shut them down. How are they doing this to people? Do not bank here. I always have my physical card on me and they were telling me that someone got a hold of it and used it. I told them that is impossible as I am the only one who has it and access to it. I filed many disputes about un-authorized charges and they still have not answered and they took my whole check and did not give it back and closed my account. They are scammers and are always creating fraud and taking away people's hard earned money. Just be warned.

Basically I canceled my service some time ago and they still deduct money from my bank account, even though my account is closed. I tried calling the toll free number but I don't have a card associated with their service. So they basically hung up on me. Apparently they steal money from people and seem to get away with it.

I pay my advance early every month and every month I have a problem getting another one if I need it. It's ridiculous. I have to sit on the chat with several different reps telling me the same thing over and over and still nothing, and still charging me the monthly account fee. When I finally spoke to someone it was a problem because my account balance was low BUT it wasn't when I repaid my advance. It is so frustrating!!!

Dave Banking is rip off and fraud. Never got my card canceled at least 6 times and they still take the 1 a month out. I called them. Foreigners answer and are rude. You give them your address for verification and they said it's wrong. I don't know my own address??? Watch out. This is a scam.

It just keeps getting worse! I used to like the Dave app. Now I despise it. I started using the Dave app shortly after they opened and only offered up to $75 advances. Well they offered a checking account and larger advances so I accepted and after 4 years of getting advances of $200 every single month. I was offered to upgrade my advances and get up to $500 by opening a Xtra Cash account. I foolishly accepted. That was about six months ago and my advance amount has dropped considerably. I've only been able to get $125 at the most and that's been very random. I've never been offered anything close to the $500 they said I could get if I opened the Xtra Cash account. Now I'm suddenly not eligible for an advance.
My pay has increased and my direct deposit goes into my Dave's account. The customer support people are pretty much useless because most of the time they are nonexistent. If somebody does contact me they say exactly what the Dave Bot says and they seem to not have access to my account or my history and have no knowledge of the issue I've been talking to them about for the last three months. The Dave app mislead me into believing I would get larger advances when in fact I got lower amounts and some months was never offered an advance. They are deceitful and should not be trusted with your finances.

I’ve been with Dave for over a year. Accepted several advances and paid back as scheduled. No issues, until today when I noticed an early withdrawal to my checking account. I contacted Dave and explained the settlement date was not scheduled for today but next week. They sent me a screenshot, where someone obviously changed the date to today and said I agreed to the terms. Unbelievable. Buyer beware. Dave we go into your account whenever they like to make early withdrawals without your consent. I immediately closed my account and will never use them again. FRAUD!

I have been using Dave for about 6 months. I have had no problems up until this month. I all of a sudden notice they withdrew $500 from my checking account so I logged on to the Dave app and there is nothing that shows through the app that the $500 was taken out, so I thought my account was hacked. I contacted customer service and an Angelica contacted me back telling me I had authorized the transaction through my Goal account. I had told her I never setup a Goal account and I went back onto the App and there was a Goal account labeled "Hahahahaha" and when I clicked on that it showed a $500 transaction from my checking account. I contacted Angelica back and told her I did not authorize this transaction and did not setup this Goal account. I also wouldn't have labeled it "Hahahahaha".
She sent an automated message back saying I needed to contact my external bank to resolve the matter and that I after 3-5 business days I could add that $500 back from my Goal account to my checking account. On the 3rd day I tried to sign into the Dave app and it gave me an internal error code "db4e38c9". So I took a screenshot of the error code and sent it back to Angelica telling her I was unable to log in to the App. I tried all day to log in to the Dave App and kept getting these different internal error codes. So I waited 24 hours. When I tried to login the next day it popped up with a message saying "Sorry, but you have to wait 60 more days before you can join dave again."
I went into my email to contact Angelica again and there was an email from Dave Support that said "Hello, unfortunately Dave has closed your account and ended your membership. Per the agreement Dave may terminate this membership at any time without notice or suspend your access at any time with or without cause or notice. We are unable to provide further information or services." DO NOT USE THIS APP OR THIS SERVICE. THEY WILL SCAM YOU OUT OF MONEY. I am currently working with my bank to get that $500 back.

I have never ever had an identification problem. Dave said I couldn't get a spending account because they couldn't verify me and I have direct deposit going in every 2 weeks and they can only give me $5, that's a bunch of crap. You're going to charge me a monthly fee, but can only advance me $5. Stay away from these people. And it takes forever trying to get it. They claim it is the financial institution taking so long to respond to their test deposit.

Took my money and still never gave it back to me. It was $100 or more they said Apple CHARGED ME $63 and there was still more money missing after that from within my direct deposit that had went missing. I had almost $1,000 dollars direct deposited and was left with roughly 840.

I've been using this app for the past 4 years, and back in the December was the first time that I've had an issue with this app. I noticed that a $100 advance was taken out on my account that I did not advance. Then it dawned on me that my account has been possibly hacked. I notified the support team for Dave about the issue, making them aware that this amount and that it doesn't need to be debited from my account. However ignoring my request the amount was still debited from my account. Shortly after that another $50 was advance on my account that I didn't advance. I've been back and forth with the support team for Dave since December 28, 2022 about this as well as getting my refund.
All I keep getting is that it should take 3 to 5 days before the issue is resolved/investigation to be complete and it still isn't resolve. I have talked with several members of Dave support team about this issue. Now it's pushing me to work with my legal team to have this operation shut down, as well as getting my money back. So if any of you have been scammed out of money from this app, let's team up and put the heat to them, or have it shut down permanently. No one deserves to lose money on bull crap like this. So if any of you thinking about downloading this app, please reconsider.

I’ve been getting the same payroll direct deposits for at least 2 years till now. The same week the Dave computers are “hacked”, they wipe out all the app passwords, and no one can reset their password for 48 hours, my paycheck doesn’t get deposited into my account! I’ve been waiting and calling ALL DAY and they won’t even look for my deposit!! They don’t give a damn that I can’t pay my bills! I’ve already filed a complaint with the BBB and FDIC. I will continue to file complaints on every site I can find!! BEWARE!

The Dave app is. Rip off... I have used this app for years and use their loan option where you can borrow money if you have direct deposit. I always pay back my loan. Most recently I took out a loan for $26, paid it back early and my account got canceled because I have paid back multiple loans early. My account was canceled without any warning from Dave. My direct deposit has been sent back to my employer and I have been left stranded with no way to buy a ticket home due to them canceling my account for the dumbest reason I've ever heard in my life for me paying back a loan early. I called and spoke with a manager supervisor and the dummy simply sounded like a robot repeating himself over and over like some cyborg. I will never use this app again and I will leave bad reviews every forum I can find.

Do not use this app. It is horrendous. It pulled up my "direct deposit," as something I returned to a store. I have weekly direct deposits. Has been giving me an error message for days now. I contacted their customer service number. Could barely understand the person (foreigner). I don't qualify for an advance. My first measly advance of $5.00 plus a $2.50 fee was deducted without a problem. My DAVE card never came either. Use EARNIN. I did not have a problem at all. $250 advance right away.
