I’ve told it that it is not authorized to charge my debit card but it continues to do so. I’ve instructed them to cancel my account 3 times yet they refuse and keep charging me. I don’t even have the app in my phone anymore!!! For months!! There should be a class action on it.

I have been paying monthly fees to Albert and asked the rep. to close my account in June. Rep told me I owed $159.99 from 2020 so I paid it and was told my account was closed and they reimbursed me for one month instead of years of fees. Checked back to be sure the account was closed and customer service told me I had to pay an additional $150.00 and needed to settle up before my account would close and monthly fees would continue. The $150.00 was from the savings account and Albert tried to deduct the amount when I paid the $159.99 without my knowledge. Note that I have not ever been contacted by Albert about these past due balances that supposed happened in 2020. This business is shady, misleading and unprofessional with me and other customers who make their business run.

It’s not the worst app, but it’s definitely not the best. One of the biggest issues I have is how delayed it is with updating information. For example, if I have $500 in my bank account and I transfer $100 into Albert, it doesn’t reflect that change in my bank account for days. The same goes when money is added to my account like my paycheck it doesn’t show up in the app right away. I know that might seem minor, but I’ve used other financial apps that update instantly, and that’s how it should work.

One specific situation that really frustrated me: I transferred $700 into Albert on the 3rd. On my bank side, it looked like the transfer had already gone through, so I thought that money was already out of my account. Then the following week, the $700 was actually taken out, making my account negative because I had already budgeted based on the first update. That really messed things up for me. I just think Albert could do a much better job making transfers and balance updates happen in real time or at least reflect more accurately what’s actually happening with your money.

I had cancel Albert. I gave another shot. It's horrible. They have changed the app, it's so sterile. I feel like an AI. No support if you try and look at your personal info or navigate the app. I immediately get locked in a page of spending more money for different useless services. It is no longer a helpful app to borrow on your paycheck, if you need a little cash before payday. It's just for someone to take our money. I wanted to extend repayment date. Not available on the app. I wanted to chat... not available on app. I wanted to turn off auto-pay. I am not permitted! It's my account, my money, this sounds illegal. And trying to cancel is horrible.

I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment with the recent experience I had with your service. I deactivated my Albert account on May 25, primarily due to the excessively high monthly fee for what amounts to a basic savings account and an optional early cash advance feature. However, on the very same day I attempted to cancel, Albert moved funds into my Rainy Day account, effectively preventing me from completing the deactivation process. I was only able to transfer those funds back to my linked bank account two days later, which delayed my ability to fully cancel the service.

As a result of this interference, I was charged again in June, despite the fact that my account was already marked for deactivation. At no point was it clearly communicated that I would still be billed for the following month after initiating cancellation. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. I am extremely dissatisfied with this experience and find it misleading and unethical. I would never recommend this app to anyone and urge your team to review your cancellation and billing practices to avoid misleading future users in the same way.

I told them to Stop direct deposit now and close this account, customer stop responding to my emails and texts! I'm waiting for my funds to be released into my checking account!!! Poor customer service! I regret getting this loan!!! Helppppppp.

Since NOTHING is being done about Albert account scamming us, I'm convinced it is a gov't scam. If it is someone from the projects they would be in jail by now. This people behind this app are stealing our money from our accounts and with no regret, hesitation or being held accountable. These are NOT criminals in hiding. This is a popular app that floats around social media as well as tv commercials. WHO IS BEHIND ALBERT!!! It suggested I share the app, asked to go to my contacts, normally an app allows you to choose... NOPE.... NOT "ALBERT." It said, "congrats you sent 59 invites." Now 59 of my friends and family will go through this scam!!. And "Albert" actually sounds like a name that only a foreigner will make up. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! WHO'S SIDE ARE YOU ON!! 🤬

Extremely hard to cancel, I followed the instructions saying I had to bring Albert balances to $0 first. After I THOUGHT I did that, I see an NSF from my bank for -$51 from Albert for way more fees than I was trying to avoid in the first place. I couldn't afford the "genius" subscription and I cancelled that. STILL Extremely difficult to cancel Albert and I now have negative dollars. Awful app

Out of nowhere they text me telling me that my account was suspended indefinitely but due to security reasons, they can't tell me the reason why! And no way to appeal their decision.

Do not use the Albert App. The Albert App is dishonest, not trustworthy once they get your banking information. I cancelled my subscription on the app and emailed them and cancelled again through customer support and they are still debiting my account. They’re trying to do a ACH transaction through my savings account. My banking institution is removing the transaction fees because they see where Albert is doing the transaction out of spite (I saved my emails and I took a screenshot of my cancellation through the App) because I cancelled my subscription. Albert has messed it up for other financial loan apps because they can’t be trusted.

SCUM OF THE EARTH. I had an account that I closed over 3 years ago and enter a new account to withdraw funds and they say that the original account has to be the one that the money gets deposited to all the while they continue to STEAL money out of my other account just fine and the money that's "trapped in the app" can't be accessed. Mind you I have not used the app in over three years and now I'm seeing charges twice in one month.

I tried to get an advance with this app but didn't quite notice they are linked to bank account and saving or what not... So I did not finish the process for the Albert app... Long story short... They had taken 100 at first (I really don't know how it got to that... So I texted them and got AI responses). I said that I need to close this account but they rained responded that I needed to close the account by first depositing 48 into the account (which apparently I had opened) so I did and closed it! It so I thought... When I saw I didn't get my money back I went onto "Pissed Consumer", made a complaint. Within 1 hour I received a response! They told me they were officially closing the account and refunding me... And that they did! With 2 days it was refunded to me. Thank you everyone who collaborate in this task.

I signed up to get an advance. I was told I didn’t qualify because it would take time to verify my debit card information. They were able to verify my checking account information to charge me money every month, how convenient for them. What kind of cash advance company takes money and doesn’t give it? VERY DIFFICULT process to deactivate account. It was about 17 steps. Worthless company and waste of time.

So I go to Reddit and the BBB… Yeah read those reviews and I see a class action suit too. Do your research. And I repeat my title… And how is this legal.?!?

This is a total rip off. A buddy of mine asked me to download the Albert app. Said we were both get a $50 bonus. I have received a bonus from Chime so I was on board to get $50 extra cash. Signed up. Gave them my information. Never received the $50 but they took $14 out of my checking account and put it into savings. I was not expecting this so I tried to delete the app and cancel it. They told me I had to have at least $20 to be able to cash out my money. I decided I wasn't going to let them take any more of my money without my permission or reading the small small print whichever it may be.

To make a long story short they have been trying to debit the subscription for credit services for over a year now. They try to get the 1499 every 2 weeks on Friday just like clockwork. I also have the Chime which allows you to freeze your debit card at any time so every Friday 4:00 p.m. I turn my Chime card off. It's been working but it is a hassle. Only other things to do is to change debit cards or credit cards.
