I'm getting threats over the phone that they are taking me to court for August 4, 2010 loan that I paid in full.
I received a grammatically incorrect threatening email in which I was referred to as the Prime Suspect from someone posing as law enforcement on behalf of Cash tree who I've never heard of. The "officer" spelled his own name differently twice in the same email. They claimed I've been avoiding them but what I found strange is that they had my address but never sent any mail to my house, no phone calls on my cell or job # but you progress to a threat and ask me to reply and call them to make payment arrangements??? As they say I was born at night but not last night.
My last interaction with mycashnow was August 2013 (paid in full) which is when Cash tree claims I took a loan from them.. I think Not!! Now I receive an email asking for $800 to repay a $350 loan that was never taken. These are thieves preying on our fear b/c they have very personal information. This is a scam! Don't reply or click on any hyperlink they provide and do not agree to any terms. A true lawsuit will be issued with a docket number from a court house. I've alerted my bank and closed out the account they had on file. I've filed a report with the BBB and FTC for identity theft. All credit bureaus should also be alerted! Their hope is that you'll be afraid to report them or call them to settle agreeing to things you didn't do and inadvertently providing additional information to them. I hope this helps a fellow victim of this terrible scam!! I believe in Karma..
Took out loans with this company and the finance charges were more than they advised. Paid triple what I had borrowed.
I borrowed funds from the Cash Cow group in 2010. They were paid on time with interest as promised. I paid off the first claim to make it go away in 3-2014. Cheaper than getting an attorney. That is the catch. We lose. Now this month I was suppose to have borrowed again in 7-2010. Another claim I didn't pay. I settled again. This has to quit. I am tired and disgusted at this type of "residual income" made by the company.
I too have received numerous calls from someone who claims to be a lawyer. They say I owe them money for a payday loan. When asked for documentation about this loan, they refused. I checked my bank account for anything during the time that they say I got this loan, but I have nothing in the statement to back up their claim. I have contacted my State Attorney General about this harassment. They don't stop the calls, at home or at work! I hope someone can do something about these people. It's terrible to have to deal with rude people who call to tell you that you're going to jail.
I got a call from a Ms. **, stated that the legal entity of My Cash Now had placed me with them because I owed them $$ and because I had failed to provide proof of payment that they were turning me to the county. She stated that she had all my information - even the address of the computer used to apply. I'll just wait to see, this people are thieves. I hope God forgives them.
I have been contacted by three separate companies beginning in January 2014 in regards to money I "owe" to MyCashNow for a payday loan obtained in May 2011. Unfortunately I paid the 1st company (American Credit Resolution) a settlement amount of $750.00. At this point I feel foolish that I fell for their story but allow me to defend my actions a little. They called me at my office repeatedly until I answered. They were very demanding and rude. At the time I had my Sr. Leadership Team sitting at my conference table. Scared to death and certain of humiliation I stepped out of my office. At that time they told me they were sending out law enforcement to serve me lawsuit documents if debt was not settled immediately. They knew my social, my address (in 2011) and also the names/contact information for my immediate family members and husband. They also referenced the credit union that I have used since high school.
I had used MyCashNow several years back (2009-2011) during rougher times but I had always made payments and did not remember defaulting on a loan. To be honest, May of 2011 was a very stressful time... I ended up unemployed mid-month and was also dealing with the terminal illness of a family member. I was stressed and depressed!! That year is a blur. Is it possible I really owed? I do not know why I did not push harder for answers. I just paid it and moved on. "Closed the book" so I thought. (Can I get that money back if fraudulent? Is there a way to investigate further?)
Then beginning in February 2014 I started getting calls from another firm with the same story. They were attempting to collect a debt on behalf of MyCash Now which was no longer in business. (Can you even collect on behalf of a company that no longer exists?) I tried to tell them that I had settled the debt and even emailed receipts but was told that I must have had "multiple accounts" and that I legitimately owed more money for these old advances. When I asked for dates and amounts which would have supported the loan I seemed to always get the run around. I pulled by bank records for 2011. The amounts and dates obtained did not match up with my bank records. I am not sure how to fight further... I have worked really hard to recover from those tough times.
Then in June 2014 a company called Accelerated Financial Services added a collections account to two (2) of the three (3) major credit bureau in the amount of $717.00. Since I was buying a house at the time this news was especially alarming/disheartening! I disputed the claims. Transunion notified me that they claim was legit. If it is then who did I pay back in January? If it is owed then why can I not get some sort of formal notification stating the date and original amount deposited? At this point I do not trust anyone and am not sure how to resolve. Another agency called me this morning which is what sparked writing this review. I am astonished at how many people have identical stories. I performed a reverse look-up on the number which called this morning (904-351-6939) and it did not tie to a business name and came up in a residential part of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. If anyone call help or offer advice on how to resolve I appreciate it. Thanks!
I received a telephone call from **. The agent claimed I took out a pay day loan for this company in November 2010. She said her name was Investigator Sandy **. Later in the conversation, she claimed she was an attorney. She ended up hanging up on me. I called back. The second person was also extremely rude and hung up on me. I asked for documentation and it refused. It had my personal information but I did not borrow money in November 2010. I intend to report them to my Attorney General.
I recently was contacted by an agency saying they were collecting a debt for My Cash Now and if I did not pay I was going to jail. She knew my social and my boyfriend's name and number. She was very mean and called us bums. We are both out of work right now. She said I was too poor to have a lawyer. When I called back to ask for a document to be mailed to me, she said no. When I ask for something sent to my lawyer, she said they only communicate by fax. Have him fax her. This is not normal at all and I am worried she is trying to scam me out of money. She called 3 times today.
I received an alert on my credit report today saying I had a collection account, it was from Accelerated Financial Solutions. I disputed the claim right away with Transunion and then called the collection agency. She told me I owed a payday loan from 2010 with my cash now for $245. I told her I had never dealt with that company before. She said I had made payments to them for months and still owed them a balance. She wanted me to send a proof of payoff. I asked her to send me a debt verification and she said she already had in April. I did not receive anything. Said she was going to send it again. We'll see I guess. But in the mean time, my credit score took a dump.
I received a phone call from USF - an Ashley ** was telling me that this was in regard to an uncollected amount of $425 that had been placed in my account back on March 14, 2011 and that they are issuing a warrant for my arrest for fraudulent non repayment of funds and other charges. She said I should have gotten a letter in the mail etc. I told her I never dealt with MyCashNow - she advised that she was not there to dispute things with me but to get a statement from me on how I intended to resolve this issue. She said her client had my bank account information, my employer information and my social and that was all that needed to be submitted to the court for proceedings - I told her that I would think that they - the supposed creditor - would have to show proof that money was actually placed into the account.
And since I had already dealt with another collection company about this same company and issue and amount and date, and verified through my bank that the deposit in question was never placed into my account, I would be more than happy to counter sue her company as well as her company for continued harassment that is not justified since I never received the funds. I then hung up on her. I contacted my bank, had them verify that no such amount on or around the date provided was ever done by MyCashNow - total scam... how pathetic!!!
I have been receiving phone calls from (775) 546-5028 for a while. I decided to finally answer it since they never left a message. Like everyone else, the person on the other line was calling from some lawyers office stating that I took a loan out in November of 2010. She told me I owed $347 for a $250 loan. I told her I needed written proof of this. That I did not take the loan out. She had all if my information as far as name. Date of birth and last 4 of my ssn. She told me that she did not have proof to provide me that mycashnow.com is going to take me to court if I did not pay. Then she hung up. When I tried to call back the line was busy. I tried again and my service provider had the recording that the number had been disconnected. So you tell me.....is this a scam? I say yes!
I have received frequent calls from HFS (404)334-7462 at home and work. She said that my local court would be notified. Immediately called back and was told my SSN was involved in something from 2010. Requested that I fax to HighlandSrvs@gmail the documentation proving I satisfied the loan of $100 (that account is closed). I am an analyst and decided to research further and was amazed to find this site showing similar experiences. Glad I GOOGLED!
Someone just called me and they are saying that I owe them a money back 2011. And if I don't pay for it they are going to arrest me or call my lawyer. They know my all information and my last 4 digit account number. When I read all of your review I feel relief because it's only a scam. My bank said that "it's okay that they know my all information as long as you don't give your full account number or your debit card number". And then also when I look at my account back 2011, I didn't see that they deposit a money from my account. So this of kind a scam is "BS". I am so mad at them. They think that I am idiot that I can always just give them my account number. This is the number that who called me 6783672878, 4049006959. from Georgia and it's a debt collector it says in my phone. Please free to add comment. Thank you.
I have received numerous contacts from people supposedly representing MyCashNow. In all cases, I have returned certified letters indicating that I do not owe this company any money. Today I received a call indicating that they were having me arrested unless I paid the debt. When I tried to explain my history with this company, they said I could "explain it to the Judge". When I asked for the name of the firm, they identified themselves as Johnson's Law Firm in Pinehurst Texas, 832.479.5667. This is a scam and this company has not been dealt with.
I have a received a call from a Marlin & Alter Associates LLC today. The men on the phone said I owed MyCashNow for a loan of $400 and I'm being investigated for fraud and will go to jail if I don't pay. But something tells me this is a scam. Is this a scam?
I was contacted by U.S.1 Financial LLC stating I was going to have felony charges against me from a $200 My Cash Now loan I took out in 2010. I asked for information such as bank accounts etc, all they did was provide me generalized or wrong information. This entire thing is a scam and it's scary that people have access to information.
I have experienced the same exact occurrence as everyone. I supposedly took out a payday loan July 19, 2010 with an email address that I never had. It was e-signed and the bank account does not belong to me and is not a valid account at all. I am contacting the Credit Bureau right now!
So today, I was contacted by a Robert ** with Reed White and Associates stating that I owed My Cash Now $1300 and could settle today for $800. I was told that I took out a loan with MyCashNow.com in July 2010 against a Wachovia account. I asked the man what information they had: #1 they had my maiden name. #2 the year the loan was taken out I was unemployed. #3 the address he gave me that was listed on the loan was my current address for which I have lived in all of 3mths. #4 the phone number that he called and left a msg on has only been in service for 2wks but it is on a 4yr old application. #5 the year that was given was the use of the bank account was completely wrong. that account was closed almost 2 yrs before the date on the application.
The man was nice and American, shockingly, but everything that he stated just didn't fall in line with a loan that was taken out in 2010. He asked me about many of my family members which was really weird. It's very scary that people that we don't know have some much of our information and we don't even know it. I say don't pay and don't ever pay until you know for sure that you owe this money. I have never taken out a payday loan from this site. I am not a stupid person but I must admit that they almost got me.
Please don't pay these people. I was looking up the company while talking to them. I asked why isn't there a website for Mycashnow.com. I was told that they were out of business. So still while on the phone with him, I proceed to Google Mycashnow and Mycashnow scams popped into the scroll box. I clicked and found this website. I asked him about the scams and he claims he is unaware of the scams. Hope this helps someone else's case. It surely helped me out. I really was almost scared that the police were going to come and lock me up. Not so worried now.
Threats to charge me with a felony, jail and contacting my employer. These are the tactics My Cash Now uses to extort money from me for a loan I never applied for or received. Scary thing is they had all my personal info, address, banking info, etc.
I received a phone call today stating that I owed a payday loan to My Cash Now that I supposedly took out in July of 2010. I did NOT take out any loans of any kind in 2010. I was threatened with being taken to court over this. The woman I was talking to only gave me a 3-digit account number, and said I owed $164.00 but if I could pay it by the end of April, I'd only have to pay $129.00. And when I asked for more details she said, "We'll call you back", and hung up on me. When I called the number back, it said the number had been disconnected or was no longer in service. It's a scam.
Just received a call from a rep from MyCashNow.com phone number ** stating that I took a loan out with them in 2010 for $200 and now I owe them $1200 but they would settle for $500. Told her that I haven't taken out any loans with their company and in 2010 I was unemployed and I know every loan business has to check employer verification. They gave me names of all my brothers and sisters that I put down as references, some of which I would NEVER put down. I told her that I know that MyCashNow is not a lending institution and she promptly hung up the phone. I believe her name was Mrs. **.
I have reported this company to the better business bureau, and that's just the beginning. This company called my friends and family trying to get a hold of me. When I called them they were rude right off the bat. For one I'm not the person to be getting smart with. Second they going to tell me that I took a loan out in 2010. I started laughing. He said "you think this is funny?" I said "yeah, I never took a loan out with this so called company." I filed bankruptcy in 2009 and of course he had all the info as well. I told him they were full of ** and I wanted proof, documentation showing that I sign a contract with this company, and he went on and on about how he didn't have to, blah, blah.. I told him "well I don't have to pay you either, specially for something I didn't get." He went on tell me that he was going to send the paperwork in to have a warrant issued, that it would be a felony count over 500.00 and of course I laughed again and told him he was full of ** again and to do what he thought he could.
So I reversed it on them and I kept calling them back every 5 mins asking for my documentation stating I took this loan out from MyCashNow. They weren't happy. I said "how does it feel? Tomorrow is another day, I talk to you then." For all you that don't know, MyCashNow is not a lending company. They are merely a company that helps you find a loan. They go through many vendors to find one that's right for you or one that says they will give you a loan. If you default on that loan, the company that gave you that loan is the one that's supposed to collect from you. Why their lying and harassing people I don't know, but I won't put up with it, and I don't take well to threats, specially when I know they're false. Besides that I was in Kuwait in 2009 and have been here since then..
I received a call stating I had been approved for $3000 loan. I did not recall the company name and I decided to look it up with consumer affairs to see this company "MYCASHNOW" was listed as a scam. It was strange the set up they have to picking up the check requesting $295 upfront which would be reimburse. It was just to know that I would be able to pay the monthly amount. If this company is bogus how come nothing is being done to eliminate it. The story sounds too good to be true.
I was contacted by a collection co. saying I owed MCN $329.95. I argued the point with them that I did not receive any money from them. In the end I paid the money... even though I am on a fixed, small income. They called 2 days ago and said I didn't pay it. I found the info on my bank and told them I did. They gave me 10 mins. to pay it again or I would lose my social security for a felony and I had to call my son and get him to pay it. I talked to the original recipient of the payment and he said I did pay it and returned the money to me. Now they say I have 2 more and there is no way to get in touch with the company. Do I need to pay an attorney now that I can't afford... Who is out there to help with these predators?
I received a phone call today on my cell, as well as these people tracking my relation down and calling them. I spoke with a Mr. ** today (3/6/14) who said I had an unpaid loan from a service called MyCashNow. I have never received funds from this service. He went on about how he had it all right there in front of him, verified my personal information... so I must have either forgotten or I am lying. But yet, he couldn't give me any kind of account info from this service that he is collecting for. Just that I took out a $410 loan and now owe over $600 with interest fees! WHAT!?? He said this was a loan taken out 3 years ago and he was trying to settle before further action was taken. Seriously??
Throughout the entire conversation, he was trying to get me to admit to something that I did not do. Telling me we are only if we have two things... our word and our dignity... and the truth shall set me free... How is this okay?? How are these people still in business? Its like legally scamming innocent people!? First of all... if I was going to get served over a matter they say I did over three years ago... Pretty sure I would have been served by now!! And second... how can they defend something if there is proof of otherwise? These people need to get lives and be shut down!
I was contacted today by a gentleman who claimed I never paid back a loan to My Cash Now back on January 6, 2010. I checked my records and I never received any money from them nor had I applied for a loan with them. I was told it was for $300 but they would settle for $550 which is what is owed today to include fees. These people had my personal information and even a cell phone number that I've only had for less than two years. I was told that a bank statement would not prove that I didn't receive the loan. The gentleman claimed I could have gotten the check via mail and I asked for proof that I cashed this particular check. He said that he didn't have any details that My Cash Now dumped all outstanding loans in their laps. I'm reluctant to pursue this because I believe it is fraudulent and filing a police report does nothing (I know from past experiences). I'm not sure what to do at this point.
I had a gentleman by the name of Bob ** from Wells Fargo Recovery representing MyCashNow and says I owe money for a loan I took out with My CashNow. I have never taken out a loan with this company. I told him if I owed the money I would gladly pay it and to send me information in writing. The caller - who is obnoxious, rude, and downright nasty - tells me they don't have to send anything in writing, it's too late and I need to pay it off now. Again, I said that I have not taken out a loan with MyCashNow and he said I had and I can't prove I hadn't.
He asked me to verify my SSN (which I didn't do - but he did have it). I continued to state that if he provided the information to me in writing I would be able to answer the questions and take of the situation. He informed me that he did not have to provide me anything in writing, and that this phone call would serve as proof of service of default and I had 1 hour to go down to what was my local city hall police department, ask for Detective Roberts and gave me a case number (no phone number) and that if I didn't get down there to make the payment, someone would be at my door to arrest me and then he hung up.
I contacted my local police department, and #1 there was no Detective Roberts, the case number was not one of their case numbers and I filed a report due to the harassing phone calls. My major concern is that they call my office. This is VERY annoying and nerve racking. I wish I knew what to do. I'm not going to pay for something that I didn't get.
This has been going on for 2 years. First it was a person by the name of Mike telling me I would be arrested send a fake arrest warrant, but would never provide me anything in writing. Now I have a company called Southern Asset Recovery, who I cannot find online; they also had all my information such as last four of SS#, Driver license number, etc. They stated they had contacted my bank, and my bank told them I do not have an account with them, which I currently have the same account. Then even had the name of my bank and my account number. They want me to pay $700+ today, or someone will come and arrest me. They threatened to call my employer. If I owe this money I will pay it, but I want more verification than a phone call, send me the contract that I signed. This was a loan that I was to have taken out in May of 2011. They said they have sent me letters and emails. I have not received one correspondence online or by mail, except for these harassing phone calls. Is there anything I can do to stop this?
I have had some representative whose company name he never gives, but says I owe money for a loan I took out with My Cash in 2011 - #1 I have never taken out a loan with this company. I told him if I owed the money I would gladly pay it and to send me information. The caller - who is obnoxious, rude, and downright nasty - tells me it's too late and I need to make payment arrangements. I said I couldn't do anything until I received the information that I in fact took out this loan. He has gotten to the point where he calls my job back-to-back to back. I mean he has automatic set up that it rings to the switchboard and ties up the company lines.
When our HR department told him that he could no longer do this, he said "I don't care." And continues to call EVERY single day, every minute. He calls on different numbers, so every time you go to call him back it says the number is no longer in service. This is VERY annoying and nerve racking. I wish I knew what to do. I'm not going to pay for something that I didn't get.
MCN has been hounding us constantly about a loan that was taken out. We NEVER took out a loan with them. They want $1000.00 to make it go away. They had names, SSN and everything. The person they accused this of doesn't even know how to turn a computer on. The lady's response was, to try and prove we didn't do it. They are supposedly sending cops out to arrest us. What can we do. We never ever ever got a loan from these people.
Though the interest was high, I must admit that it help me to get some things paid on time.
I have used MCN for years and one day they did not take what I owed from my bank account. I called MCN and they gave me another number to contact to obtain my payment. The MCN representative did not go into details but insist I call this strange company. I called the company (do not remember the agency) and they asked for my social security number and date of birth. I told the representative NO WAY and to pull up my information with other information. Well she did and then asked for my banking information to obtain the money. I said, "Hold up, if your company is collecting the payment for MCN, why haven't you received my banking information from them?" The representative could not answer me and rudely kept trying to get me to give her my banking information. I am very concerned with identity theft and refused to give her my information but asked that I Western Union the money to them. I always pay my debts but there was no way I was giving up my personal information when neither MCN nor this new company could explain to me what was happening. I definitely do not want a high interest on what I owe, so does anyone know what I can do to pay my debt in full?
I received a call in late September 2013 from 2166441249 stating that I defaulted on a pay day loan of $ 350.00, and that I was to be subpoenaed in court with a restraining order. I called the number today and the Lawyer named Michael ** from IRS Equity Group, P.O. Box 796 Cleveland, Ohio 44114, stated that I had defaulted on a pay day loan and that they were going to take me to court. It could only happen if they had spoken to me directly. They are to send the court order to the last mailing address of mine. I do not recall taking out a pay day loan from a MyCashNow.com. The man said they also represent Ameriloan (that loan is paid off 2 months ago). I do not know who these people are. Looking on the internet, it appears they have scammed others. Please let me know my rights and what else I can to ward off this action. Thank you.
I am having such a hard time getting a hold of them! I have tried! I owe money but where do I pay? Usually, I get an email saying they are taking my money and I haven't heard from them. What do I do? I don't want to owe them an astronomical amount... Help!
They are holding my account hostage.... You can not talk to anyone. I have been a loyal participant in this horrible scam for people in financial trouble. What is going on?
Yes I have had the same experience. I like others have dealt with My Cash Now for years and never had the first problem. But now I quit receiving the emails and I knew it was time for my payment and I was going to pay them in full, but when I tried to get to the website I could not and like you when I called the number they transferred me to the collection company that was rude. One time the lady hung up on me and I never did figure out why she did that. The 2 times I talked to this company I told them that I would not pay them over the phone because I had no idea who they were. I told them if My Cash Now wanted their money that they needed to send me an email letting me know where to send it.
I understand that they have been shut down for illegal practices and cannot do ACH any longer, but I do not see why they cannot send an email with an address as to where to send the money or a website where you could go to and pay with a credit card. I went on the Better Business Bureau's website and they said they have tried to get a legitimate address on this company and cannot. I'm afraid somewhere down the line they are going to say I owe them some unreal amount of money because I cannot pay them the way that I signed up to pay them.
Plus if you are like me your contract with My Cash Now was that you pay them through the bank account that you gave them. There was no other authorized payment method that I gave them. So legally if they cannot take it out the way that I approved them to take it out, they are the ones that actually broke the contract. But that doesn't stop this collection company from calling my cellphone. I finally had to block them because they were calling nonstop. One time I talked to a lady and gave her my email address and she said she would send me the info. I never received anything. I have contacted the BBB twice and have never gotten any replies back from them. So like you I am at a lost as to what to do.
I have been trying to get online to see if I owe anything and I can't. I have not gotten an email since Aug. also and when I call they transfer me to someone else that is not them!! What is going on?? Were they not a legit company???? If people still owed money on their loan and can't get through do they still owe it?? What's the deal?!
I used to get weekly updates about the status of my loan but that stopped in August. The mycashnow.com website is now unavailable and you get referred to Credit Protection Bureau to pay off the balance of the loan. I have no idea if this is legit or not. I'm quite skeptical because mycashnow has stopped sending email. Has anyone else had similar dealings?
I have been a My Cash Now user for about 3 years and it has been by far the best payday loan company I have dealt with. They had the lowest fees and you were able to borrow as little as 100.00 while other companies force you to borrow minimum 250.00. The only advise I tell anyone is to know what you are getting yourself into and know the rules. I have had to extend my loans and have been able to do so verbally and online. I was also paid the 100$ referral fee efficiently. Everyone was very nice and understanding. I have and will continue to refer company. I feel those who have bad experiences with this company don't fully understand how the payday loan system works.
I applied for a $200 loan back in April and due to unsuspected bills, I became behind on payments. I was only making the minimum payments which increased the finance charges. I called MyCashNow to see if there were any options because I was worried that I would eventually get an overdraft on my bank account. They referred me to Silver River Management to set up up payment arrangements. I contacted Silver River Management to set up payments I could afford but without the finance fees. I was still responsible for the finance fees but it was going to take up to 1-2 more months to pay off a $200 loan at the rate I was going. I went to get breakfast one morning for work and to my horror discovered my bank account was overdrawn the amount of the entire remaining MyCashNow loan.
I called them and they basically told me there was not anything they could do and I needed to call Silver River Management since they could not access my account. I was so angry because Silver River Management was closed on the weekend and I had to wait for Monday. I had to borrow money from my cousin. I called them Monday and demanded to know why my loan was drafted from my account since I made a payment to Silver River Management. They could not give me a definite answer. I decided to let them keep the full amount of the loan but demanded the payment I had submitted. The rep had the nerve to tell me I was only able to get $7 of the $50 I paid. I demanded to speak with a supervisor and was hung up on.
I then called back and I was able to get my $50 back after I had a 3-way conference with my bank and Silver River Management to verify the loan for MyCashNow went through and there would not be return fees. My bank was able to refund only one of the overdraft fees and there were 2. They were still hesitant about giving me my money back!!! About 2 weeks later, I received an email stating I owed a remaining balance. I called Silver River Management in an outrage and was advised I still owed finance fees. I told them that the website did not show a remaining balance. I was basically told I had to pay it. They had no sympathy for the ordeal they put me through. I hope I never have to go through something like this ever again!!!
Tried over and over to connect with MCN and arrange to pay my loan via mail. My loan was for 520.00. I paid you 263.28 on April 4th as had been arranged on the phone with their rep. My next bill in May was supposed to be for 263.28 plus 130.60 interest for a total of 393.88 and the loan would be paid off per my conversation with them. While awaiting the instructions where to mail it and to whom I make out the cashier's check, I received an email with my balance NOW showing a total of over 2K!!! I then contacted them again about this new balance... in writing to Canada and by email and have yet to receive any reply. I had also notified their rep that I was a victim of identity theft and on advice from the Attorney General's Office and my bank I closed my bank account.
When I requested their rep send me instructions, again, for mailing the payment we agreed on he stated that the West Vancouver address was not for paying the bill and would email me the address. Still, months later, nothing has been received here on my end. Now I am receiving calls from CPD???? Who states they represent MCN??? This made me very suspicious especially since I was now.... after all these years..... a victim of identity theft as well. Then my bank notified me that MCN tried to deposit more money, of which I never applied for, into my old account??? What is that all about?? Where did that come from? Leery of no instructions being sent, high balance, thousands in interest in only 4 days, identity theft, contact from CPD, money trying to be put into my old account and not being able to access my account online...
I contacted the Attorney General's Office and the Federal Trade Commission. I was advised, and did, file complaints against both companies, MSN & CPD, and asked for an investigation into their practices. I emailed MCN and informed them that I was going to await the outcome of the investigations before paying another penny. I was afraid my new bank account would also be compromised. Please note: this all occurred because my check that would have paid the loan off in full was delayed being deposited into my bank by 2 days because of a holiday. I realized this the same day the loan was approved. Called IMMEDIATELY to ask for loan date change of 2 days and was told it could not be done but that I could make the first payment, mentioned above, then second one, also mentioned above.
Within 4 days total the loan plus interest went from 520+130.60 at 263.28, which I paid, plus another 283.28 at end of month (not paid). Thinking all was set - imagine my shock when their next email to me stated I owed 204.60+2000!! Really?? Thank God for AG and FTC! Hope no one else goes through this ordeal. Thanks for hearing me out! So frustrated.
I wanted to get an extension on my loan. I always do it the day before the due date but they said I could not do that because the Thursday was a holiday so that forces me to pay the loan off or go through a collection agency. This is a company that doesn't care about its customers' problems, only their greed. Well, they lost this customer and I hope many more follow. PS. Please don't help this company in their greed.
This company is shady in their dealings. On your first loan, they offer $18.00 per $100.00 you borrow. Then on your second loan, they tell you it's the same deal, yet they somehow get loan papers that show 575% interest. Charging you $1.57 per day for each $100.00 you borrow? That's $48.67 in finance charges alone! Your best bet is to ask family for money than this greedy, money sucking company. I would never refer anyone to their company for their lousy $100.00 referral program. It's a scam, straight up!
I have been a customer of MyCashNow for 4 years. Recently, I had some checks stolen and had to close my bank account and open up a new one. I called MyCashNow and told them what had happened and tried to change my bank account info on the phone. They told me I had to fax it to them, so I did. Today when I checked my account, it had been turned over to a collection agency. I had to make arrangements to pay it off in 5 payments through these people. Not one time was I notified that there was a problem. So be aware these people do not value their customers. And maybe it’s a good thing. Once this is paid off more money for me, less money for them.
I had checked on a payday loan but did not actually want it. I got online and checked my bank account and found they had deposited money in my account. They are calling me 100 times a day saying I need to have a lawyer for lawsuit against me for cold checks, that I was not paying my loan back on time. It was just put in 4 days ago and I did not even ask for it. They are rude and will not give you any info and keep telling you to call some man at the same number they are calling from. I did finally call and he said it was a lawsuit about paying back the loan and I told him I was contacting the BBB. He said, "Go ahead, I will just keep calling until you respond." In the meantime, I have had to "hot card" my debit card and file disputes with my card carrier to get my money back. Hopefully these guys get caught and are charged for all the grief and aggravation they are causing honest people.
MyCashNow.com for taking illegal funds out of my bank - Why is this company putting a charge on my account of $29.95 and in what status do they have the right? Who are they? Yes, I am upset. I called them and raised hell. I called my bank and thanks be to God I am with a secured bank of the U.S. who cares enough to back me up. They have turned this company into the Fraud Department. Make aware to all out here; I for one know this now. Some companies that give money just like that are bogus, that is why so high interest. They use you and give out your information. I do not even know where this one came from, but I am going to get my $29.95 back. Sorry, you have lost, whoever you are.
I paid $1,200 in interest this year to take two loans of $750 each. That's nuts from a business perspective. But I've had financial trouble and MyCashNow has gotten me through a couple of scrapes. Unfortunately, people who qualify for credit frequently don't need it and people who need it often can't get it. Anyone using MyCashNow is operating their finances close to or over the edge. Be aware that things could get ugly with any payday lender if you're not able to make your commitment. They've restructured my loans a couple of times when I won't able to follow through on what I promised. I can't call myself "happy" with MyCashNow, but that's only because it's not a very happy way to borrow money. I hope that I won't be desperate enough to have to use them again, but it's good to know that they are there just in case.
I am here to file a complaint against this company for reasons of putting money into my account without my authorization or me electronically signing anything. Now, these people are pressing charges against me for withdrawing monies from my account and then some. I will not stand for this and will be reporting you to the BBB in connection with the US Fraud Department. I don't want or need an attorney for such frivolous deception because I have two looking into this matter as of now. If I receive anymore contacts from this company about funds, wanting to give me funds, or making false complaints against me, I will take extreme legal action. You have a good day.
I had been a customer with MyCashNow for over two years. I took out many loans and always paid on time and in full. Each time, they raised the amount that I could receive because I paid in full. All of a sudden, they dropped the amount that I could get by like $500. I still took out the loan and paid it in full. Then they told me I am now a preferred customer and will get extra discounts. When I tried to apply for another loan, I was denied saying I don't meet their requirements for a loan, which, if anything, my income went up and I always paid the loans off. When I called to question why I don't meet the requirements, I was told that I no longer meet the underwriter's guidelines. Seriously, how is that possible? I pay in full and on time. So this is what you get for being loyal to a company, thinking they are good and all of a sudden they turn out to be just like the rest. And now I found out that they are the same company as Discount Advances.
I've been reading that a lot of you people on here had some bad experiences with My Cash Now. I've been using My Cash Now for a few years now every time I run low on some cash. I have had zero problems with this company. I usually pay the loan on my next paycheck. As of now, I am a platinum member and I get over 30% off my interest rate. I use them a lot and I recommend this company to anyone that is in need of some fast cash but make sure you understand that they do have fees just like anyone else. That's how they stay in business.
I filled out some payday loans forms, came home, and found money in my account. The loan amount was $400.00 and $84.00 in interest. They never let me know what they were doing. This took the acceptance out of my hands.
I just want everyone to know that I worked for this company, for a year. Mycashnow, Paydaymax and Discountadvances.com are all owned by the same person, as well as the collection departments. They have a call center, in Chattanooga, TN and Costa Rica, as well.
There were also complaints on FTC, so I began to realize that this company is a scam. They say that they don't sell customer info, but they do. I had numerous customers say that their checking accounts were hacked and stole the money. I was reprimanded for telling a customer the truth about a call center in Costa Rica and other info about the company. I really hope someone takes the info and doesn't fall into this trap and scam for Payday loans.
I receive numerous loans from MyCashNow and I had got to the level that I receive 15% off my loan and had numerous new customer referrals. When I went back to apply for another loan to help pay for my daughter school, they came back and told me I don't meet their standards. I asked the lady when did that happen because I had received at least 10 loans from your company and had paid them back on time. She replied, "You don't meet the underwriter's guideline."
I received a $360.00 loan from MyCashnow.com on July 3rd, 2009. I was unable to pay the money back in the time period they allowed me. The interest was outrageous and building up.
In December 2009, I set a payment plan with my cashnow to take $50 biweekly out of my account. The settlement amount we agreed on was $652.23. I paid mycashnow $100 in December 09, January 10, February 10. I called in March of 2010 to check on my balance and they had stopped taking money out of my account due to ISF, I then paid them the past $150 that should have been taken out so I was caught up to my payments. I was told I had to go online and reset up my payment plans so they could continue to take out $50 biweekly.
I did just that and they stopped taking money out of my account again. I received a letter in the mail from National Credit Adjusters saying that they would be able to offer me a substantial discount of 50% off my current balance which they said was $519.64. They wanted a payment of $259.82 and my account would be settled in full. I then contacted NCA on 6/7/10 and explained to them that I had already had payment plans set up with mycashnow and every time I have tried to call them that I only got a disconnected sound.
I called mycashnow numerous times with no response back. I explained to NCA that I have proof that mycashnow was taking money out of my account and I only owed $252.23. I told NCA that I would make payment arrangements to pay the $259.64 and it was denied. I then told him he will have to take me to court, they responded with an okay and hung up.
On 10/6/10, I received a call from an unknown number and spoke to a lady saying she was representing mycashnow and wanted to know if I could pay $519 before it gets sent to court. I told her absolutely not; I have already discussed this with NCA and I have tried numerous times to contact mycashnow and have received no response from them. She kept putting me on hold so she could talk to the attorneys to see if they could settle for a lesser amount. I then got transferred to a Jeremy **. He told me I could pay $333 today or pay $222 every month for three months. I told him absolutely not.
I then explained to him the amount of money I owed and the situation from NCA and the situation from mycashnow and he then put me on hold so he could talk to his attorneys. He got back on the phone and I asked him why his company didn't send me a letter in the mail saying he was representing mycashnow and he said he didn't have to as this was just one last attempt to see if I could pay it off so I didn't have to go to court. I then asked him how he could say I was being charged with fraud when he had no idea whether or not I had intentions of paying it back or not. He replied and said that it would have been paid off and we are trying to collect it so you don't go to court. He told me that the attorneys he spoke to would settle for the amount I owed of $252.23 as long as I faxed in my bank statements proving that mycashnow was taking money out of my account.
We agreed that he would receive a payment of $100 on October 14th, and $152.23 on October 28th. I asked him for his address so I could send a money order in; he said they don't accept any mail orders because they could get lost in the mail and only accept visa checkcard/debit card. I said well I'm sorry I am only able to send in a money order. He then responded and said," well, good luck in court, you can call me back if you change your mind", and hung up.

These are all payday loans. I'm charged $100 and $140 bi-weekly finance fees on $400 loans. I recently found out these loans are illegal in my state of PA? I can't afford my bills. Twice a month, I have $400 in just finance fees taken directly from my checking account.
I called the 866-645-1661 phone number to make arrangements for payment. The representative from Mycashnow said that the only options available to me were that I extend the loan for another 2 weeks or month. I told her that I did not want to extend it anymore, and that I just wanted to make payments because my hours at work were cut. She said that those were the only options I had. Mycashnow did not want to work out payment arrangements with me. This has caused me to be more stressed out. I don't want them to contact me at work. I told them that I wanted to work out some type of payment arrangement, but they refused. They just wanted me to extend the loan.
I applied for a 'loan' with this payday loan company, not realizing how high the fees would get to be as I tried to pay back the loan. When I called them and asked them to help me by setting a payment plan and freezing the amnt I owed, the representative was rude and told me there was not payment plan and that if I didn't pay all fees in full as they collected I would be reported to a credit agency. That same day I received a default email saying that I now had three days to pay in full and i was being sent to a collection agency.
I took a payday loan out because my husbands account was frozen. I took it to help him with his rent. I found out my account was frozen and when I tried to explain to them not to call my job because my line is recorded they yelled out my information on the recorded line. They also left messages about my loan to coworkers as well as on my answering machine. I borrowed 300 and was told I have to pay back 330. When I called back to make payments they said my bill is $900
