While there have not been any issues for months now I am pleased and impressed with your service and the security you provide.

I am very pleased with this bank. They have been great to me. I haven't had any complaints. As long as you keep with your responsibility in paying on time and being good about it. The rewards are great and the customer service is great as well. A good company that keeps its promises.

I was pleased to have been approved for their card at a time when my credit score was very low. They initially approved me for $700 and although I had a rough start because I lost my job in the process, I eventually got all my payments in on time and now make it my business to never send a late payment. It took a long time for me to get an increase, but 6 months ago I went up to $900, then recently it was increased again to $1100. I was very pleased because it was a nice surprise! Overall, Merrick did not give up on me. I also liked that they did not charge me a fee for the increase like the Applied Bank Credit Card I own that charged me like $100 dollars if I accept the increase. Now I can see my credit score every time I log in which I love! The only downside is the crazy high interest rates which I hope get lowered. For now, I will stick with my Merrick card.

After about 8 months I couldn't be more pleased with my credit card experience. It is a breeze to use and with online accessibility it's very easy to view my account at any time.

Merrick was true to their word that they would increase my credit line in 6 months with timely payments.

I have always paid my bill on time and have had no issues with Merrick Bank Visa. They have raised my credit limit a number of times. I would recommend them to a friend.

They have been a wonderful credit card company. They send me emails when my payment is coming due. They said that when I had paid on time for six months, they would up my credit limit and they did. They keep their word. I love these guys.

I was late in paying my bill due to my computer crashing. I was not able to access the internet, therefore, I could not recall my due date. The Rep was very helpful in giving me extra time to pay my bill to keep my account current.

I applied for the card to have a Visa card. Getting approved, receiving the card and registering the card was easy. I have not had the opportunity to use the card, so all is well.

I expected that after a year of paying off balances in full someone would have offered a higher credit limit. As it is many purchase are made with a different card which has provided higher buying amount. It is a MasterCard and I would like my visa to be of equal limits for larger expenditures that require higher limits. I have no intention of using credit cards except as a bridge within the month of the expenditure because I don't want to pay the high credit charges imposed by the bank. Thanks for asking.

I have had no negative experiences with Merrick and I would recommend their services to others. Only reason for not 5 stars... their website is hard to navigate. Not impossible, just time consuming for me to find what I need quickly.

Receive emails when my statement is available.

I was told in the beginning that after seven months of on time payments that my credit limit would double. They were true to their word. I did not even need to request the limit raise. It was done automatically.

I bought a dress. It was the wrong color, wrong size, and the material was stiff so it didn't flow. It was a full length dress so it looked like a tent. I returned the Dress to the Company I bought it from. It cost me 50.00 to return it. I sent all the information to Merrick Bank including the receipt and form I got from the post office. They still have not credited my account and seemed to be more concerned with the company I bought the dress from than they I with me... Their customer. As of now I have no dress, no money and am also out an additional 50.00 for postage. I have never seen a credit card company make such an issue over a return and dispute issue. They have no regard for their customer.

Easy access and security questions every time is good practice to protect consumer especially now that identity theft can easily access most of the information we put in any gadget we used. Hopefully this practice will protect us more from those thief.

Merrick's services are excellent and customer friendly. From the easy on-line application, payment by phone, to representatives that take time to answer all your questions I have had an exceptional experience. The extra $700 after 6 on time payments is a great perk.

I think this credit card is good. They give you increases over time and the rate is what is expected for someone with less than perfect credit. Good for rebuilding. Do not care for the annual fee at all. That's the only disappointment. Wish after a time period of good history it could go away.

Online payment and account overview - Site is very easy to use, clean in its layout.

Merrick offered us credit when no one else would. We have always paid cash and lived within the concept of "if I don't have the money then I don't need it." We don't like to owe anyone for anything. Well, we decided we wanted to buy a house and in order to do so, we needed to establish credit. Merrick came to our rescue and as a result opened many doors for us in the credit world. We have been very diligent with our credit and still spend cautiously. We have been pre-approved for our home and expect to close shortly. The APR is high but we have sidestepped most of that by being responsible and routinely paying off the balance. We were high risk so this was expected. Overall a big thank you to Merrick.

Recurring payment - I need to pay more than just minimum payment but not the whole amount. You need to have a way to pay more than minimum.

Back in 2011 I ran into some financial hardship, I lost my job, and had to file bankruptcy. Since then I've been working very hard trying to build my credit back up. Merrick Bank gave me a chance. Thank you for letting me prove myself. Not only did you trust me with a credit line, you increased it prior to the year for review. I appreciate Merrick Bank very much.

I like the fact that when you show you are paying payments consistently Merrick rewards you with credit line increase.. I love the convenience of mobile app to manage your account. Online pay as well is great.

Well based on the number of reviews regarding customer experience, website navigation woes and problems when closing accounts. I will not try for this card. That's too much headache. Thanks but NO Thanks. You really need to read the bad reviews and do what you can to ensure that your contracted customer service representatives are representing your company in a manner that keeps your customers.

I recently lost my credit card. When I called it in I was charged a 15 dollar fee. Why I don't know and no explanation was given to me. I asked if it could be waived and was told no. Other credit card services like Capital One doesn't penalize their customers for a lost or stolen card.

Merrick Bank has been a good card to have. The initial pre-approved "offer" was better than other cards and there were no 'gotchas' or fine print tricks along the way. My limit was doubled as promised after 7 months. Very satisfied.

The only experience I have is a credit card account. There have been no issues using the card or online services.

It seems solid. Nothing outstanding. I'm a little disappointed that I don't have a PIN and chip card. The website seems very archaic and not full service compared to credit cards like Capital One. Overall, I'm satisfied with the service they provide. I just wish they were a little more with the times, including better UI/UX experience for the website and a mobile app.

Too high of a interest rate.

I had some credit problems after my husband became very ill in 2011 and could no longer work and Merrick Bank is giving me the opportunity to rebuild my credit. I am very grateful for this opportunity, and my credit score is slowly improving because of Merrick Bank.

In trying to repair and build credit, I've been happy with the periodic increases to my limit. However, reducing the apr in addition would be a huge "win" for convincing me to work more closely with Merrick.

Merrick Bank offered me a credit card with 0% interest rate to start with. When I proved myself with them, they increased my credit limit. Have no problems with them. Certain sites I go to, I get a discount if I use this card. I would recommend them to anyone!

They are consistent with this. Takes small amounts if you use it. Credit utilization goes up fast because of small amount increases. That can hurt sometimes but a good card to have.

My experience with Merrick Bank has been simply amazing. I was offered a card that would double my credit offer in just 6 months as long as I maintained payment of my balance on time. I did maintain on-time payments and I received my credit line increase as promised. Only issue I had was when I went to work at the hospital, I had my wallet in my pocket when I entered the MRI room and the magnet erased my card. I called to see if the card could be replaced and Merrick Bank stated there is a fee... sad face... It should be replaced without a fee in my honest opinion. That is the reason I give them a 4/5 stars.

The online bill payment never works, the automatic withdrawal never works and I'm always and to go on I make manual payment every single month. I have called in several times to fix this and has never been fixed - actually very tired. I've always tried to make sure that my payments are on.

The card is very reliable. They have easy options to help keep up with your card. The app is awesome, allows you to do everything online. Pay your bill, review your purchases and keep up with your balance. Also if you stay in good standing you have automatic increases!

I have a credit card with Merrick Bank. My bill is always accurate. When I need customer service it is always readily available. This bank is one that does what it says it will do and rewards my on time bill payment with increasing credit limits and cash availability.

Called to ask for a lower % rate on credit card and they told me Merrick Bank DOES NOT TAKE REQUEST FOR LOWER INTEREST RATES FROM customers.

This is the first time I see a bank doing business so fast like this. If all the bank does the same, we wouldn't have to get so many credit cards. We should doing business with one bank instead. That's why I'm going to pay all my debts and have one creditor. Better for the bank and for me.

I am happy with everything but the interest rate. It's crippling.

My experience has been satisfactory due to the constant of valuation of my account by Merrick bank which has valued my good payment standing. One thing that might be appreciated is a decrease in interest charges for those with long-standing good credit history with Merrick bank.

At first I thought this was a good credit card company. Then when I noticed a questionable charge on my account I log onto my account to file a challenge to that charge. That was when I realized there is no such possibility on the website. I further noticed that other services on the web offered by ALL my other credit cards did not exist on the site. In all instance you are required to telephone the 800 number. However if you travel a lot, as I do, and do not have access to a US 800 number, then this is useless. I emailed customer service twice about the problem. Not once have I received acknowledgement of those emails let alone a resolution to the problem.

I have two other credit cards with no, zero, annual fee and international transactions fees. I go out of the country sometimes and need to rent a car and pay for hotels and flight tickets. That's why I don't use the Merrick Bank credit card more often.

My husband just received a new card for him & I told him I truly love Merrick helping with credit working. He called for a simple question and the Lady was perfect.

I have been with Merrick Bank for over three years and have no qualms with their service. Their online app is concise and very easy to use.

Although I am satisfied with the automatic increases on my credit card account, I wonder how that is being determined by the bank itself. I have never requested for an increase in the past but I was always notified that the amount has been increased without my requesting for it. I would have preferred that the bank would withhold any increases on my credit card amount unless I request for it in the first place.

I am very unhappy with this company. I have been a customer for several years, always paid on time, never late. Last month I requested an updated card reflecting my married name and not only did they not send the card but they apparently billed maintenance fees on this new card that I never received! They reported me late to the credit bureaus due to no fault of my own. I paid this $14.00 and closed my account. Now I have to dispute this with this late report with the credit bureaus. The customer service at Merrick is virtually non-existent. Those reps have no interest in retaining your business as a customer and are eager to close your account. I have filed a BBB claim and hope this matter gets resolved quickly. I am going to write about this experience on every consumer site I can find letting the world know how horrible these people treat customers, even those with excellent credit.

They froze my account on Jan. 14 after a $750 payment for no reason, and couldn't tell me why. Then they told me to unfreeze it, I would have to fax in some documents, I had to do that four times. They finally said they received my fax on the 27th of January and that my card would be mailed two days later. The card never arrived so they then told me they would ship my new card the following Monday on the 1st, so I called every day to this day which is the 5th and have heard at least 30 different stories from... "The card has shipped, hasn't been shipped, hasn't been developed, will be shipped today, will be shipped tomorrow, will be shipped on the 8th." Basically the moral of the story is these people stole my money and continue to lie about it being shipped out, so I think anyone who opens a card with this company is a damn fool, and if I don't get any answers soon, they will have to speak to my lawyer.
