The main differences are who’s covered and the level of credit monitoring. Individual plans protect one person, while family plans cover you, your spouse or partner and any dependents under 18 living with you. Both plan types are available with either one-bureau or three-bureau credit monitoring.

The cost of IDShield membership varies based on the plan you pick and which options you select within that plan. Both plans give you the option to monitor credit through either one or three credit bureaus, but you’ll pay more for three-bureau monitoring.
