Beyond basic steps to lock down my personal information, the investigator also provided an extensive list of additional measures to take. They included a notification system against people attempting to open utilities accounts in my name. Life is far easier with experts looking out for and protecting me from criminals.

Called IDShield around Aug 3rd to tell them I am no longer receiving communication since May 1st about my account status. They told me to wait until Sept and if no account status is received to call them back. So I still don't know what account status is since May of 2024.

I needed to have my wife's name added to my Credit Freeze Account. Your representative couldn't help me. She said, I would have to contact all three credit bureaus myself. I pay a monthly fee for services. I feel I should have gotten some help with this matter.

One phone call situation explain, escalated quickly. Was taken care of immediately and did not take over 30 minutes to feel comfortable that I was safe. Very happy with the time it took to resolve the situation. The two representatives that I spoke with were very helpful and I felt they were concerned about the situation that I had just been goad into and I have no issue giving them the information that they requested. The representative was able to help my husband reset his password. He also put a Fraud Alert with the Credit reporting agencies on my accounts. I've already received a letter from Experian stating they received the alerts and will leave the alert on the accounts for one year.

For some reason, me and bunch of coworkers had our information erased. It’s been months since I have had any monitoring reports yet they’ve been taking their monthly from my paycheck. Lawsuits been filed.

My son and I are currently battling this company as they are refusing to cancel his subscription after he sent a notarized letter demanding it. They should be criminally charged for fraud. They are ignoring all his requests to cancel and pretending they never received it. I have proof of delivery. I am going to hire a consumer protection attorney as I have proof that this company is purposely attempting to force my son into a contract with them without his consent. This is not over. Please stay away from this company at all costs.

I love getting emails or logging into my account and seeing "Nothing to report" and not just knowing there have been no red flags in the previous month but it also reminds me that my personally identifiable information is being monitored on the dark web and the Internet. It provides huge peace of mind that if my identity is ever suspected to be compromised, there are experts who will research and fix everything. Without IDShield, I wouldn't know where to begin in that situation.

IDShield monitors your passport, your social security number, your drivers license, your medical id, your store cards, your birthdate, your IRA--all in addition to the normal bank accounts and credit cards. They let you set thresholds on each account and you are quickly alerted if the threshold is exceeded. If it is your transaction you simply mark it as reviewed and dismiss the alert. If it isn't you can call in 24/7 and talk with a licensed fraud investigator. I have been alerted of a credit check while I was still on the phone with a loan officer. I was also alerted right away when I made a sale in my IRA that exceeded the threshold I had set. I also called IDShield when I wasn't sure whether I should click on an email and they advised me not to--it was a phishing email. Excellent service--very prompt and informed.

After Equifax breach in 2017, I paid IDshield 19.95/mth to protect my husband's and my credit. In Feb/2019 both our social security numbers were obtain fraudulently and IDShield never notified us. Ever. We just discovered this breach in 11/2020 when we went to obtain a routine credit report. Their response to the BBB complaint that I submitted was they created a new system in 1/2019 which I did not activate (never was made aware of this) and so it was not their fault, but they still collected their monthly fees. They really did a very poor job and I will not use them again. If you are considering their services I would use someone else. Very disappointed in their efforts. I dealt with the identity theft on my own and cancelled my service with them immediately.

The protection that I have is through one of my credit cards. The service is free which is great. I get alerts when something happens with my credit. I also get to monitor it for myself by logging into the service. It’s been a great way for me to stay abreast of what’s happening with my credit.

The one flaw that it possesses is that you are not informed until after something has already occurred. By the time the customer is informed a lot has already taken place. When you are informed of something the customer service is fairly fast.

I love IDShield and thankful they aren't part of the problem. I get plenty of reports and email reminders. The process is quick to set up and easy to use. Love the price. Lifelock is owned by Experian. They should not be making money!

We started with them while a superintendent in Yarnell, Arizona and have kept it going. We get the reports and information to keep us informed. It goes along with our attorney Legal Shield. Price is right and customer service is fine and always available when needed or want more information.

I did not know about IDShield until they sent me some letter telling me that they will charge my CC for the service I never signed up for. I contacted them via multiple electronic channels and every time they directed me to some 1-800 phone number they never pick up. Let me repeat. They somehow got my data, told me that I'm their customer and they will charge me. Then they would not let me tell them that I don't want it.

Most companies don't immediately put you in touch with a licensed investigator that goes and does all the work to fix all your identity theft problems, but ID Shield does, and their service costs less than other companies.

ID theft is rampant but I'm not really concerned as I'm glad I own this membership since it's the most comprehensive out there. I'd looked at a lot of them and this one is the one for us since it included full monitoring with total restoration by a licensed fraud investigator.

I started getting emails welcoming me to a service I had never signed up for. Called and after hours of going back and forth they realize it is for not only a customer but an agent for the company that has a similar name to mine, lives on the opposite side of the country. They stated they would fix it and I continue to get emails from them inviting me to view different seminars. Now I am getting emails saying my credit card has been declined for their fees. A credit card that is not mine. Called again and again, they have no clue how to fix it. IDSHIELD and can't shield their own agent's ID.

IDShield and Kroll representatives seem like they're reading from a script. I've used their service for more than 2 years. I've contacted the company at least 10 times and each interaction has been frustrating and disappointing.

My elderly mother asked me to review her monthly finances with her recently. I quickly noticed a recurring charge monthly of $10 for "IDShield." I asked her how she signed up: Got a free dinner at a hotel and then signed paperwork for it a year+ ago. I asked her what it was for: She had no idea exactly what she was getting for this fee. I Googled IDShield and realized it was a credit monitoring service. I already provide this for her at another website and advised her to cancel this service as she's on a fixed income. Since she had no idea what her username or account number were, I asked her to call the customer service number listed. CANCELLING IS A RIDICULOUS PROCESS that seems catered to discourage the elderly.
Called the number on their website and was connected to an "investigator." She stated that she wanted to cancel her service. Gave her private info. Transferred her to "member services"...hold. Informed member services that she wanted to cancel. Provided her private info again. The agent said ok, then without warning transferred us to another agent. Final agent answers and she gives all of her private info again. My mother states at least 4 times that she wants to cancel the service. Each request is met with (paraphrasing) "Ok, but did you know that you have x amount of coverage as part of your plan...blah blah blah." Wouldn't take no for an answer.
Finally they stop badgering her and tell her that to cancel, she'll need to email/fax/mail a letter. I ask why she must do this if she's stating this verbally, has confirmed her identity. They say it's policy and in the Terms & Conditions. Phone agent REFUSES to give us the email address. Phone agent transfers us to an IVR system again that reads the email address at the end of a very long message/phone tree. I send an email on her behalf from her email as asked: "Provide member # and send "CANCEL" to an address with a different domain name "corp" added to the end of it."
Now we wait. From signing her up at a hotel seminar dinner to making it incredibly more complicated than needed to cancel her service, this feels to me like an attempt to dupe the elderly, then make it almost impossible for her to be able to follow through with cancellation. It's my opinion about them taking advantage, but the steps above just to cancel are to the best of my recollection. Ridiculous for an online company in 2019.

After 5 years of paying for IDShield identify theft service, I learned none of my information, accounts, cards, name or address have ever been monitored. I called their number and after 2 hours of being shifted from one department to another, I learned they had my incorrect email and I had therefore not received any information or further instructions. Their response was it was my responsibility to "activate" my account, but if I had discovered a breach I would have been covered. After another hour of conversations and discovery of the level of disorganization of this company, I cancelled my account since I have ZERO confidence in their ability to protect me from anything. In addition, they are only open 7am-7pm "except in an emergency," and you have to go online to find the "emergency" number. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.

I really like this service. I spotted some weird activity on my credit report and called the team at IDShield. They gave me a few tips and helped me resolve it with my credit card company. When my identity was stolen a few years ago, I wish I would have had this service. They are cheaper than other services and I will be a life-long member.

24/7 access to licensed Kroll Investigators. I did not incur any out of pocket costs. There is a mobile app where I can have access to my account and notifications 24/7. Excellent service. Been a customer for 5 years. Upgraded at no cost.

IDShield is very reliable. When I bought my last car the dealer wanted me to bring the car back because the finance company refused to pay the dealer because IDShield had a fraud alert on my credit and I needed to be contacted to verify the sale. When an unknown address appeared on my credit report I was alerted. I simply called the investigators and in about 30 days the unknown address was gone.
